This is exactly what we wanted when we heard James Marsden was going to be back. Exactly. We've for two years since before Deadpool and Wolverine said, I hope Cyclops comes back and James

Starting point is 00:03:25 Marson gets to wear the yellow and blue and justice. I thought it was going to be. going to happen in Deadpool Wolverine and it makes sense it didn't because this this looks so special yeah and the russo brothers doing scott summer's justice i mean what's crazy about this is like god i i feel like those two movies uh what we saw with thor and and steve rogers looks out of the same movie this just looks like a x-man movie this just looks like the fox x-man movie which is kind of crazy they're able to do that yeah do you remember and this is a positive about flash which is not going to go over one on our comments section.

Starting point is 00:03:57 But remember, love the babies and a very good way to start a film. But remember when we were watching Flash, there was that conversation about how well Muskeetti captured Tim Burton's tone and did like basically a smash up between Snyder and Tim Burton. This reminds me of like when artist jam and

Starting point is 00:04:13 comic books and like different artists are on the same page like Muskeetti's Flash. This feels like that word like they're intentionally doing a singer take. I love how this looks. I don't want to just keep pausing and hearing what they have to say. Whose names are on the back what did they say in the trailer you guys look it up

Starting point is 00:04:29 what's up i'm gonna you guys keep talking for a second coy what's going out with break down you guys excited about the red patch on the suit talk about that way look up the dialogue the red patch in the suit is straight from the comic books we've always had like things allude to the comics in the in the bryan singer movies the original x-man movies had to go black leather they didn't adapt i was wondering how they would have xavier feel more comic accurate without necessarily being the doctor strange yellow floating thing that didn't work this is right

Starting point is 00:04:55 out of the gym lead 90s X-Men that the Cyclop suit is. This literally is the closest we've seen Xavier to having a uniform. This looks amazing. All right. And it reminds me of the Pizza Hut. Okay, according to Google, it's death comes for us all. That's all I know for sure. The question isn't, are you

Starting point is 00:05:11 prepared to die? The question is, who would you be when you close your eyes? Man, both, this last one and this one just have like poetic-ass dialogue and that is such like a Magneto-like line. It really seems that you're going to kill off Magneto. I love that he was actually wearing the red. He's got his long hair, too.

Starting point is 00:05:26 He's actually let him have the long hair. McPhile, Stephen McPhile is such a slept-down writer for big, grandiose comic book language. Like, I think he has the best dialogue for Thor. I said it in the last video for Thor. But if you look at the actual writing in Infinity War and Endgame, there's so many, like, bars. And now he's playing with X-Men? Yeah. This look, this is my favorite trailer of maybe the year.

Starting point is 00:05:49 So do you think that Doom, that Doom is controlling the fucking, um sentibles i think that doom is okay my big theory of what's happening is these are going to be different earths i think we're going to have an incursion event and doom is going to build battle world out of the remnants of worlds i think the reason we're seeing so much destruction i think the reason we're seeing uh thor you know mourning the loss of love love is somewhere else i think worlds are ending and doom is gathering a battle world i see so i don't think he's controlling anything here i think the end of stuff. This is the end of the actual Fox X-Men universe.

Starting point is 00:06:28 Again? Yeah. Can it end again? Tune in to find out. It's like Lord of the Rings. It's got a few different endings. Will Xavier die again after X-Men 2, 3, Logan, Deadpool Marine, Dr. Strange?

Starting point is 00:06:42 Yes. And weirdly, as much as these have all been kind of foreboding in terms of like, it seems like they're setting up everybody to potentially die. Like at the same time, this one I feel like carries that maybe the most clearly and the most appropriately. I think it fits if you actually end universes and you give stakes to doom, but also I think it'd be kind of nice to give the new

Starting point is 00:07:02 X-Men a clean slate because we actually killed the old ones. Like, I could see that whole universe ending. Well, this is so exciting to me because when we first heard that Fox was going to acquire X-Men, the immediate assumption was not that they'd cross over. The immediate assumption was that they'd reboot.

Starting point is 00:07:18 And I think this is one of the cool things that I'm sure Fige's aware of. And it seems like he's been wanting to do it this way is actually take the Fox X-Men universe and let them play in the MCU for a while because that's ultimately what we'd want to see as fans of the X-Men movies. These are his toys.

Starting point is 00:07:34 Watch, like, yeah, the toys from the Fox X-Men universe actually collide over. That's why it wasn't like immediately get a new Wolverine. Let's bring Hugh Jackman over for a bit. Let's bring all these people over for a bit. Because that is what we'd want to see after watching these guys for like more than a decade and have a lot of really great films.

Starting point is 00:07:51 And then reboot. Yeah, exactly. That's what I mean. It's actually like pretty sweet to see this happen and this is one of the nostalgic things that I feel like they're also concluding that way they can put it to rest and then we get a brand new fresh face of characters

Starting point is 00:08:06 and I think that's why they cut it from Deadpool Wolverine I swear there was at least a few versions if not stuff filmed where we got these characters in the Wolverine flashbacks that they very painstakingly didn't show probably and in the age of like five nights at Freddy's two for example just because it's fresh in my mind where you

Starting point is 00:08:22 have like oh there's a scream reunion but you don't actually get to have it on screen, right? Like, you don't get to the satisfaction. Like, as much as people have be moaned, like, oh, they're going back to the hits and, oh, they're bringing all these people out of mothballs who they know will draw us in. At the same time, it's kind of what you said. It's like, if you get the X-Men here, but you don't have Downey,

Starting point is 00:08:40 you don't have Chris Evans, and you don't have whoever else, then it's going to be like, well, they were in the MCU, but we didn't actually get to see them with our favorite characters. So, like, maybe this is a way, even though that is still fan service, I can see that being, like, an opportunity taken as well. I think that's a really good point to bring up is that bringing them back gives us all of the things people have written about since endgame ended. Everyone's been like, but we'll never get to see this and this. And I think the X-Men is the ultimate version of that for Fagie personally.

Starting point is 00:09:06 Fagie's the man who himself fought for Hugh Jackman's hair. He's the guy who was on set for these 25 years ago. If you're the guy that's suddenly running the universe, you acquire these characters. You don't then go, well, let me just start over. I think this is the only way you could escalate from endgame, right? like what they did with Avengers was impossible age of Ultron didn't quite hit as much as we wanted it to infinity war was this crazy thing of like well it got twice as big and then end games like bold and crazy and twice as big how do you keep sequelizing the biggest sequels of all time how do you make

Starting point is 00:09:38 something bigger than the biggest you bring in eras and i think that's why it didn't happen in deadpool movie the entire time you guys have been talking i've just been watching the cyclops footage over i want this as a gift i just want to play it's it is like a quick blowing your low shot. It's a good splash page. It's so good. We just saw footage of three men just on screen. That was like that's free.

Starting point is 00:10:02 I know the thumbnail already. It's all of us just. That was literally like right when we heard he was back. Yeah, we have it on camera. Like, this is what they should do. They have to give him the yellow suit. You can actually do redemption for James Martin up for him getting dicked over an X-Men the last then.

Starting point is 00:10:17 And it looks like they knew exactly what to do. And it ties so beautifully into the Jim Lee comic outfits. we all love, which is why the red X made me excited from Xavier's. That's like the X-Men 94 animated series when that played a Pizza Hut. That was the cover of the VHS. That's all they had to show. Like that's so iconic.

Starting point is 00:10:34 So I love that they're doing all the little tiny details that feel like what we want back. Like I just, I mean, I'm glad this table is here. I opted blast it all over my pants when that shot happened because it's everything I've literally dreamed of for 30 years. Yeah. Well, that's amazing. And I like that they're letting Xavier and Magneto be old

Starting point is 00:10:50 for reals. Yeah, thank you for not de-aging these or trying to dress them up like they're the ones that we exactly remember like letting them, they look like they're toward the end of their lives. Magneto's literally chilling at the mansion, so this must be some terrible times. Yeah, that's a really good point. They're talking

Starting point is 00:11:06 casually in the room of her chest again. Yeah, he's like in his chair too at the mansion, so this is like dire, it's end of times for them. It's run in by that. This movie's so big. Like, I... This field makes it feel the biggest. I kind of just want an X-Men movie. Ex-Men movie featuring

Starting point is 00:11:22 movie comic accurate comic accurate costumes and shit I'm like that's the thing that's interesting about this trailer. It's like oh yeah this is supposed to go to like fighting them. That's why I was talking about our most anticipated video. This is why it's my most anticipated because it's just a bob and we've experience. Sometimes

Starting point is 00:11:38 I'm cynical about what they're doing and on the other side I'm like well you change the tone of my voice and then suddenly it's the exact same reason why I'm excited. I have no sense with this trailer. I have zero sense. This is amazing man. The anticipation roller coaster will be very fun. And I agree. Next year This is going to be the most fun to cover for a year because it is 25 years led to this.

Starting point is 00:11:57 And I don't know if I've ever in my life. And there's 25 movies in this too. Greg and Coys Rewatch is going to be quite exhausting next year. There's so many movies. Let's watch 10 X-Men. Let's watch 34 Marvel movies. Don't forget the shows. We're sprinkling some ghost writer.
