Grab The New TARAfier Tee & Halloween Sweater: https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ It's Halloween week & the Scream Queens are BACK for the penultimate installment of their Michael Myers marathon as they give their Halloween Kills Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review! Halloween Kills Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, Theories & Spoiler Review! Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson take on the blood-soaked continuation of David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy as Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers face off once more in the brutal aftermath of Halloween (2018). We revisit the legacy of John Carpenter’s 1978 classic and the entire franchise—Halloween(1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), Halloween H20 (1998), Halloween Resurrection (2002), Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007) and Halloween II (2009), Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022)—to explore how this chapter expands the town-wide chaos, mob justice, and trauma at the heart of Haddonfield. We break down returning characters like Karen (Strode), Allyson, Tommy Doyle, Lindsey Wallace, Sheriff Brackett, and Lonnie, while analyzing iconic moments like the firehouse massacre, the hospital riot, and Michael’s unrelenting rampage through the suburbs. From legendary quotes (“Evil dies tonight!”) to callbacks, kills, and Carpenter’s score, this reaction dives deep into the myth of The Shape and what makes this franchise one of horror’s most enduring legacies. Whether you’re searching for Halloween Kills explained, Michael Myers analysis, or a full breakdown of the franchise timeline, this is your complete watch-along for the Boogeyman’s most vicious night. Citizens of the Reject Nation. Who kills?
Halloween. I knew it, baby. Or I guess if we're being real technical about it because we're
online, Halloween unalives.
Totally. Yeah. Oh, boy. We had to, it doesn't have the same ring to it, I'll admit.
Halloween on Alives. Yes.
Yep. Okay. We're the Chejeks. We're the horror horse. We're the Scream Queens. We're Tara and Roxy.
And we are here to watch Halloween kills. Now, full transparency, because we're always transparent with you guys.
Okay, for the most full transparency, I don't like this lip color on me that I just put on. It's very much blending in with my face.
more full transparency.
See, I've seen this movie.
I don't remember what happens in it,
but I have seen it.
And so if any parts I remember,
I will zip it and let Tara be surprised by them.
I'm really excited that we both liked Halloween 2018.
Loved it.
We're excited to see this,
and then Halloween ends to finish out this franchise
with our girl, Jamie.

Shee Jacks on. I had some time to do laundry today. That's a plus. Yeah. I'm waiting. Waiting on a
sunny day. I don't think this is going to be that day because it's raining outside. And so I'm
feeling a little blue today and ready to watch something that's going to pick me up with my fellow Sheeject.
So without further ado, happy Thursday. You've almost made it to the weekend. It's horror.
Thursday. That means it's Sheeject Day. Let's go. Yeah, baby. We're watching this on Amazon Prime.
We, knowing Greg bought it because he doesn't rent anything, he just buys absolutely everything.
So let's do it. Tara, count us in. I tried to say count and Tara the same time.
Three, two, one. I did it. I did.
I'm worried that this one's not going to as good because we really dug the last one.
Hey, Oscar, call me when you get this.
I mess up with Allison, man.
I got to find her and fix it somehow, so let me know.
It shouldn't be playing audio.
A few moments later.
Hey, you okay?
Hey, man, I'm coming.
I'm coming.
He's obviously not okay.
Hold on tight.
I'm going to get help, okay?
Help!
I did not remember that, so.
Needs to die.
Oh, God.
He doesn't love.
look like he's going to make it.
Stay still, stay still, stay still.
I'll tell you.
Right.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
He needs to die.
And I'm the one.
He's going to kill him.
Just to say he needs to die.
Maybe.
Oh, who's going to kill him?
We're back in 78.
Oh, okay.
Oh, so this is him.
Who's showing us his journey.
Yeah.
Oh.
Loomis said he shot him multiple times in the chest.
I saw him from 50 yards away.
He crossed right here and then...
I don't understand why he didn't...
He disappeared.
Run around the corner.
Then you and Tobias searched chestnuts out to the bypass.
Hawkinson's denial track Market Street up to Lampkin.
We'll catch him.
Yeah, kill the bad guy.
Jesus, Frank.
I used to know the guy.
That's a simple way of putting it.
Yeah, killed the bad guy.
My mom used to make me go over to his house to play.
He felt bad.
But he would just spend the whole time staring out of his sister's bedroom window.
I always remember thinking, how was he looking at him over there?
Oh.
Looking at Haddonfield.
Simple town room, nothing exciting ever happens.
And one day, he just snapped.
Ha, ha, huh.
Yeah, that's 78.
Why are they being so mean to him?
I don't know.
Oh.
What's in your hand?
Did you do it?
What is it?
What you get when you...
Melanis.
Get away from me!
Ooh!
Okay.
You're all right with you kids?
Yeah,
sugar-treating with our new old friend Alani.
Do you kids see anyone walking around on a white mask?
Not really.
It's Halloween.
Everyone's wearing a mask.
You guys aren't.
I need you to go home right now.
Go home to your parents and lock your doors.
Why?
What did he do?
He murdered three teenagers down the street.
Balloon, personally.
That was weird.
Okay, so if I'm a kid and I see that, I'm not going that way.
Exactly.
Are you like, oh, I still have to get home?
What's your deal, buddy?
I'm going to the opposite side of the street.
at the very least yeah freaking loop
certainly not doing this
no god no he's gone by now
like that pumpkin
did he told it no there was one lit on the porch
oh no
please don't kill me
okay oh all right take it easy
where to go you didn't see him take a deep breath
Who?
The fucking man.
Oh, this was a straight-sea camera?
Okay.
Was it?
It looked like he was like glens in it.
Yeah.
Again, they just let him.
Right.
Like, run off.
You know what's funny is that they're actually keeping true to like what we saw in the very first one.
Not many Halloween decorations.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And nobody on the streets.
Yeah, it's like a pumpkin.
Don't shoot.
Maybe don't say shoot when somebody's pointing a gun.
His head's about to be cut off or something.
Why are you going to go and do that?
Because he's pretty.
They do it on purpose.
So let's cast this pretty guy.
That way we can make a mold of a pretty face.
And then show it effed up.
We're nothing exciting ever happening.
Oh, that was so fast.
Wow.
We know him to be pretty slow usually.
That was like a sped up frame rate.
That was my heart skipped a beat.
Me too.
Like that was body, body, body.
Wow.
Drop him.
Oh.
Drop him.
We'll start shooting, buddy.
He ain't going to drop him.
Dude, you already gave him morning.
I hope you have a good aim.
I know.
He doesn't.
We already know he doesn't, and he won't shoot.
He's going to kill his friend.
He's killed his friend.
He shot him.
Idiot.
Now shoot him.
Oh, my God.
The worst cops in the world.
Okay.
I get it that maybe that they're trying to set it up that way, but I don't like it.
If you know you don't have great aim, don't aim for the head.
Exactly.
Like, aim for the foot.
Hang in there.
It's going to be okay.
All right.
Stay with me.
He also didn't even hit him when they, he was like right there.
He shot the window.
And I'm like, this is pretty bad.
How did you get the job, buddy?
It's cool that we just heard Loomis.
Yeah.
Stay back.
We come.
Oh, my God.
Okay, so our Hawkins, Will Patton, killed his co-host.
What's a co-host for an officer called?
Partner.
I can't.
Oh.
Officer Hawkins, tell me what happened in here?
Did Michael kill?
Did Michael kill again?
So we have Loomis?
Yeah, I guess we do, which I like.
How are they doing that?
I don't know.
Well, I guess maybe at this point,
we had enough CGI to maybe do a...
The game was kind of interesting.
Yeah.
Okay, we're adding...
Michael Hall.
Pumpkins now.
So this is David Gordon Green again.
All right.
I wonder if he did all three.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce our next Thespian.
He has all grown up now.
He's become the most captivating bird whistleer.
You would think Danny McBride would put himself in the movie.
I know, right?
I was kind of thinking that too, but...
40 years ago, a madman escaped from a mental hospital.
It was the night before Halloween.
Kyle Richards.
Teenage girls were walking home from Haddonville.
Oh, yeah.
Remember she was in the originals
And I didn't recognize it was her
They had sightings of a ghost-like figure
Creeping right through our town
A man in a white mask
Or was it more than a man
Was watching them?
Yeah
See I had no context for any of this when I saw it
Right exactly
Now that we've gone through it
We're like oh this is this
There was a babysitter
And a young boy
A young girl
And they were brutally attacked
By this stalker who had a power
Beyond any mortal man
The young girl
Yeah I'm like
Go ahead
Tommy Doyle.
That's Tommy.
I was that young boy.
And the young girl is Kyle.
Yeah.
Join me in commemorating the victims.
It's cool to cast.
I bet that he's the actual actor that played Tommy, right?
Lovely, Miss Lindsay Wallace.
Also, I was like, isn't this one?
It is because I said his name at the beginning and I was like, I know that name.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
And we have Ms.
Mary Chambers.
I can't believe I didn't recognize that was Kyle only watched at the time.
Yeah, I didn't either.
I'll only survive a face-to-face encounter.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, all of them.
It's Halloween night, Matt.
Wow.
Oh, he was a kid.
Got it.
Yeah, but he's new for this.
Totally.
Yeah.
Who's next?
Maybe not tonight.
Maybe not tomorrow.
But the boogey man is coming for me.
Okay.
And he's coming for you.
But he's not going to get us.
Not this time because we will never succumb to fear.
This is for you, Lori.
I feel like you're making.
and everybody a little scared, though.
Wherever you are.
Oh, here we go. Okay.
We're picking up right now.
Okay.
This is for you, Lori, wherever you are.
Right.
It's okay.
No, no, no, no, no.
Oh, they don't want the fire to go out.
They want the fire to burn.
Right.
Oh, God.
Never have you ever wanted to see fire trucks less.
I know, right?
Wow, look at them.
I hope she gets a big paycheck.
Wild.
I mean, that house is on fire.
And firefighters just, they got to go in there.
If you're Michael at this moment, do you try to save him so you can get out?
Or do you try to kill him because you kill everybody?
Oh, shit.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I guess you kill him and you take his outfit
and then leave as a firefighter, I guess.
Oh, bye, buddy.
Oh, well, that mask isn't going to be any good to you
because you just smashed it.
I know, he doesn't die.
Fire doesn't affect him.
Oh, my God, it's going to be Michael.
He's going to pull him down, right?
Oh, another one down.
I was just thinking
Look at him just walking out
He's just fine
Look at him
Here we go
It's weird that fire has a sound
Yeah that
Crackling
Oh God
You can take him all out
Oh my God
That is such wild
This man using the hose
You see it's Michael Myers
Why are you standing?
Yeah I don't know either
Maybe the firefighters don't know about
Michael like that. I guess not.
Oh, okay.
That's kind of a sick shot.
That was a great shot.
Oh, he's going to try a song.
Oh, buddy, buddy.
Love that POV.
Oh, that's cool. Blood in the frame.
It's Lori strode.
Strode.
She was a...
Rocket.
Man, I think you should really let a nurse look at you.
I'm fine.
It's not my...
blood okay it's not my blood dang oh she's looking at our wedding ring and she knows that her husband's dead
yeah i wonder if she's told her daughter yet i'm looking for someone i'm looking for my husband
oh no i'm sorry miss you can't be in here yeah i was like how do they just let you walk right up in there
you can't be in here god ma'am your mother's out of surgery it looks like she's stable that was a
crazy interaction because like he shouted at her very but also you really can't be in there
I was surprised that she could even walk in there.
It was weird.
Oh, okay, so she did tell him.
God damn sleep out of him.
That smelled like Lucky Strike from when your mother bought it.
Oh, I love him.
I smell it too, but that stink ain't cigarettes.
It's Lori's a house on fire.
Oh, no.
From upstairs, it looks like they put it out.
But that nutbag lives a highly flammable lifestyle.
Talk little shit about that woman.
She will fuck you up.
How about you and I snack on some cheeses and try a little bojolet in the vault?
What are you thinking? They're going to die.
I remember the scene in terror.
Oh, oh, got it.
I'm sorry.
I got you.
Oh, that's probably Michael just catching it and gone, nope.
The fuck what's that?
Somebody in there?
Michael Myers.
Oh, gosh.
Oh, God.
Oh, wow.
There's a big fella in our bathroom.
Wearing a monster.
This shit, call it cops.
Oh.
Not in the bathroom anymore.
Honey, you better make that wine bottle work for you.
Girl, use the wine bottle.
Okay.
Dropped your only weapon.
Okay.
Now you're going to go outside.
No weapon.
Oh.
Oh, God.
Okay.
Halloween on Alives.
Yeah, like a wolf.
Not.
Yeah.
Oh.
No wonder I remembered this scene.
Of course, but.
Oh, yeah.
You still bleed now?
Okay.
What the fuck?
Hey there, Bonnie.
You and Clyde need a ride?
Dad, I need you to come pick me up.
I'm at the park.
Oh.
That's his dad?
Yeah.
Where are you?
We hadn't met him yet, right?
No.
I know in this movie we did, but I mean, as his dad.
No.
Yeah.
Cameron's in trouble.
They're all going to.
go? Oh, my God.
He kind of just, like, drop that and left.
Hey, guys, cameras in trouble.
Well, that, that, that looks great.
That was last time, right?
Mm-hmm.
Blam!
Yes, sir.
Establish a perimeter.
Copy that.
Mother.
Attention all responders, be in five.
Gross.
The initiative is on foot.
The name is Michael Myers.
Go get him.
Uh, who were all.
Officials are investigating.
Less than an hour ago.
Haddonfield authorities, possibly,
identified several victims
in this south of Bastig.
You better get old Huckleberry in your hands.
Right next to our house.
Two patients of the local Smithsgrove State Hospital
unaccounted for.
Wait, that was the
those were the guys that were in the orange
squares at the prison.
Oh.
Oh yeah, that was the guy with the umbrella.
Yeah, shouting the crazy stuff.
I've lived here my whole life.
This was a safe place and now it's not anymore.
It was not a safe place.
What do you mean?
Yeah, never was.
It's not anymore.
You moved here knowing fully well that 1963 what happened.
Oh, shit.
What?
Okay.
What?
What's wrong?
Oh, what?
What?
He's in the car.
What?
How did she get out?
He's in the backseat.
Go look.
Go look.
Call 911.
Go back inside of the bar.
Somebody help me.
He's in the backseat of my car.
I saw him when I went to go get in.
It's the same guy you were talking about the one who was on TV.
Yeah, good old Huckleberry, yeah
All that coming
Yes, sir, love this today
You guys need more
Evil dies tonight
Oh no, Tara
Yeah, this is the one
The line that everybody makes fun of
Evil Dies tonight
He's right there in my car
He got out of the car
And got to the front of the car
I saw him, he looked right at me
Maybe he just wants a car
No, you don't
He's in a vehicle
He's just gonna run you over
He's got a clear lane.
Oh, Figaro.
No, remember that guy.
That guy was singing that.
Oh, and now he's listening to the, yeah.
Oh, cool.
It's just tied into the last movie show.
Yeah, I like that.
Because we heard him in the prison sing Figaro, Figaro.
Why did he almost just fall?
I don't know.
I kind of like that they use that take.
The urge.
The urge.
Yeah, it's fair out, dude.
Yeah.
Ripper's mask off, look him in the eye.
Swing all Huckleberry here.
It's a night, night, night.
Like, why were they so sure it was Michael anyway?
Hey, Big John.
There's witches and boostics
Oh no, okay
Did you turn that down?
Christ
Little John
I thought we were going to watch a movie
It's Halloween
Perfect time for a movie
It's on spooky records
They taxidermine their cat
Me and my sister was reading
And we got candy bars from your house
Okay
And when she's been into it
There's a rusty razor blade
All right, calm down, calm down
Now where is she?
She's right there
This is a joke
She swallowed a razor blade
She's still alive
Call 911
Can you help her?
She got her tongue off
She's blade in the barf
Oh god
Why would
What?
I thought this is a setup
In a joke
Oh my God
What is it
You okay?
Oh God
Okay it is
I was like
What the fuck
That's not a normal response to
There's a razor blade
in your candy
I got you, go.
Got it.
Do you have any idea
whose house this was?
No.
You ever hear of Michael
Myers?
Huh.
Do you know what happens to people
who come into the Myers home
without an invitation?
We're not even scared.
Okay.
He stabbed his sister in the...
Yuck.
Oh!
Right upstairs.
Where are you guys now juice it?
Oh, you're all perfect.
Big John and the little.
John's slap. Totally.
What we got here?
He's going to make it.
All respiratory for a venue.
Officer Hawkins.
I hope he's like in this movie.
40 years he was waiting to come and kill my mother.
He found where she lived.
He came to her house.
She put us in his path.
He murdered my husband.
She put us in his path as kind of effed up things to say.
How did you know how to find your grandma?
It was his doctor.
Michael's doctor.
He is the one that took him there.
He knew where to go.
And he's the one that.
brought them together.
Hmm.
Michael Myers is alive.
Yeah.
What?
Oh, God.
Allison, Allison, are you okay?
I'd be like, bro,
fuck off.
Go make out with her new girlfriend.
Like,
I want you to go
and sit in grandmother's room
and wait there
until she wakes up, okay?
No, no, no, she's coming with us.
We're joining Tommy Doyle.
She what?
You suck.
I'm going with them.
We're going to hunt him down
and we're going to put an end to this.
No, he is on his way here.
We are staying here to protect her.
affected your family. He's infected my family with grief and fear for 40 years.
Yeah, well, his dad also was screwed by him. Yeah, totally.
But at the same time, he just cheated on you. So are we going to, why did we do that?
Like, you, this movie has made me not like him. I know, right?
The only way we're going to stop this is if we'd all come together on this.
Come together. Right now.
Michael Myers has haunted this town for 40 years. Tonight, we hunt him down.
He's got some corny lines in here.
Really corny lines
It's like melodramatic
Like it's not hitting me
Like you know those lines
I'm like
Cover Spring Creek to the bypass
And then let me know
If you see anything
This man is a threat
And we need to stop him tonight
Evil does tonight
Are you guys alone
Where are your parents
No
No waiting for our friend
And like there's a creepy man
And a white mask
Yeah the kids are earlier
We're not three years old
Come on man
Oh look there is
Oh hello
Hello
This scene had to be written
by Danny McBride
I'm so happy
it's really him
yeah
totally ew
well that's the guy
that yeah
go home now
before he kills us
all get out of here
run
go Kyle
oh
drive
yeah
you keep
yeah
okay
Whoa
Wow
Where is the wife
Hey Michael
This is for Dr. Loomis
Oh God, these lines
Hey Michael
This is for Dr. Loomis
Oh, way in the eye
Okay
Oh wow
gnarly
like what happened with her
she ran away and now she's coming
oh she just shot her
I just saw that
what the fuck
she was in the car saying
I know how to shoot this shit I don't like that
I don't like this shit like she said I've done it before
I don't know if you yeah I don't like that
I'm fine you're not fine you had a knife
in your fucking stomach
where's Alison she was supposed to be in here
with you you didn't see her
why would you think she would stay
I'm so geeked out on pain meds, kiddo, I, I, no.
People can't win.
She probably just needed some fresh hair.
Where's your nice?
You just leave your bloody shirt just sitting here?
Oh, it's not, though.
Oh, there it is.
Oh, no.
We got him.
That's right.
We got him.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
You guys just lie to her.
God damn crap.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
Oh, oh
Okay
It's kind of crazy that after Michael kills people
He like sets them up
Yeah, right
Who the hell is that?
Oh, God, Mary.
Tommy, what the fuck?
The lines in this movie, man.
It's just, it's a little too melodious
dramatic. I wish they wouldn't say these, like...
Do you remember that night?
At the bar? You know, I never said anything because I couldn't be sure.
I was so messed up.
I told you I caught a vibe.
But you helped me. I always liked you.
You're so crazy.
Ah, I love it.
That's great.
Thank you.
That dialogue I love.
Yeah, you're so crazy.
It's great.
I remember that night.
Yeah.
I kiss you.
Oh.
Yeah.
I remember.
Okay. Bye, Vianna.
That was it.
I was hoping for more.
I get why.
But I knew he was sweet friend.
Ben Tramer.
Oh.
We killed Michael.
You can.
Well, it's about time.
Oh.
Feel so bad.
They're both the same.
Like, ow, can't talk.
He's got no choice but to emerge.
He is an apex predator.
The Pugman is that large.
There will be no pause.
There will be no empathy.
He's a good leader.
I'm not saying he makes the right calls, but people listen.
This ends when Michael is dead.
Michael Myers will be executed tonight, and it will not go without witness.
We need all of you.
Rise up.
Evil dies tonight.
I told you, dude.
I told you.
That's what people...
That's one of the only things I remember about this movie is thinking, oh, my God.
Evil dies tonight.
He killed my daughter 40 years ago.
It desecrated her by.
Oh boy, okay.
When he gets here, I'm gonna fucking kill him.
Because 40 years ago when I was a kid, you protected me.
So tonight I'm gonna protect you.
I like this actor.
Yep, me too.
People are losing their minds.
There are authorities who are trained to deal with exactly this kind of, this,
there's a system.
She trained her whole life, though.
Well, this system failed.
Now get the fuck out of my way.
No, no, no.
See, some of the dialogue is great.
That is perfect, yes.
The system film.
Love it.
Let him come for me.
Let him take my head as I take his.
It would be the only way he can die as if I die too.
Oh.
Stop, mom.
Listen.
Why is great mom?
Good knife.
She remembers.
Good, good, good.
Big job.
Oh, boy.
Someone's in our house.
And it's not a child.
Why would you drop the weapon?
Why would you?
I know, he's getting ready for a fight.
Okay, I know, but I'm like,
don't take off your rings.
If you punch him, it'll hurt more.
That's dumb.
You break your hand.
Surprised no one was like,
it's him, it's him.
Because they don't know.
Evil dies tonight.
Oh.
Guys, how did we not screen this
and that people probably went?
I don't know if that bit is working.
Are you here?
And there keep going.
This part's fine, but like...
That's so real when you're scared.
You'd scare yourself in the mirror.
When I dive my hair brown, it's scared the shit on my can die.
You were like, who is that?
Oh.
Oh, in the armpit.
Ooh.
Oh, it's classic move.
It would have been a good time to clap your hands.
Yeah.
Oh!
Burb, bra, bra, blah, blah, whoa.
Whoa.
Oh, God, that's gross.
That was gross.
Ah!
That was a lot.
I know you're sad, but...
Yeah, like, look around.
buddy like you see him murdered like Michael you've come home okay I don't know why he just was like
you've come home like you can run and probably save your life but that's all right oh no oh that was
her kid that's sad why is the more not or the autopsy yeah like it would never be like that in real life
but I'm fine with it for the movie I guess
he just threw up his hat why why why because evil dies tonight terror oh my god he just was like
i'm like why why you throw you a cowboy out of way i could have made all this go away it was
that night that you were attacked it's not your fault it's my goodwill hunting moment oh he's gonna tell her about the
And Loomis' eyes.
And in that moment, all I could think was that inside that monster
to do with somebody's baby boy.
It's simply evil.
Oh, he stopped, Lemus.
I could have made all this go away.
It's not your fault.
It's mine.
Good one, good hunting.
You're a good man, Frank.
You were doing your job.
Any of the stuff with Lori Slaps.
I agree.
Because every time somebody's afraid, boogie man wins.
Like, I don't even mind the cornyness.
Like, I believe him.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He needs to do it.
I like that we call it.
Oh, this is fine.
And I might have felt corny if it was somewhere out.
It feels good.
That's great.
I agree.
I know you're scared.
They're scared too.
Yeah, how is she going to get him out of here?
I'm not going to let them hurt you.
I remember he could help me.
Yeah.
Oh, wait.
It looks like he's about to die anyway.
Jeez.
Oh, no.
I'm going to help you.
Okay, come.
Come on.
Oh, okay.
That's good.
You're the lock of these doors.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
They're coming.
They're coming.
Oh.
Yeah, the mob mentality.
This is so scary.
Yeah.
Oh.
Hide.
I remember, Tara.
Hide, little buddy.
Uh, maybe he just unalives himself.
Poor little, poor dude.
Oh, oh, nope, never mind.
Oh, okay. Oh, he's gonna chump. Yeah.
Really upsetting, dude.
Ah, jump, buddy.
God, wire.
Okay.
Yep.
Ooh.
Rough.
That's disgusting, but it looked great.
It's not him.
Exactly.
It's not him, Tommy.
He's always worn a mask.
How do we know it's not him?
How do we know, Lee?
Because he's seen him.
your hat made it don't know why you threw it off though what i'm thinking is the killer was choking him
pete went for his gun as he pulled it up went off give me a gun his gun his gun went off and shot chest
makes no sense but okay it was an accident he shot he got it the angle of that it doesn't make
sense but it's okay he's after me no he's not it's not
About you.
I can get back in a car.
Help!
Yep.
I know I've seen his face.
I looked in his eyes when it took off his mask.
Maybe he wouldn't look out.
Maybe he was looking in.
Okay.
Who knows what makes him kill, what motivates him.
But in his heart, it always seemed to me.
me he wants one thing to kill i can't face to face with this asshole when i was a kid he creeps he kills
he goes home and that's where we're going yeah this is a father with two teenagers in the car yeah
and you're going to bring them to where you think right you're totally right i've been hearing about
mint mobile ads for years at a certain point i realized i was the only one in america not saving money
with Ryan Reynolds.
Full FOMO, my friends were bragging about
paying only like 15 bucks a month
while my old wireless company was charging me
enough funds to fund my own independent

Yes, to saying no. No contracts,

Well, here we go.
At least this is in there.
At least that's in there.
Chase a killer and an innocent man is dead.
Yeah, but the thing about Tommy is he doesn't have kids.
Like this is.
I fucked up.
I'm sorry.
Right.
I like that dialogue.
Me too.
I got to keep trying.
But if I go down, I'm going to go down swinging.
I need a car.
I have a car.
I have a car.
Humble brag.
Where I'm like, just cut to them in the car.
I need a car.
I have a car.
And that's where we're going?
It's fine.
It's fine.
I think I'm being overly critical because I really like the last one.
And if this is the same riders, I'm just surprised at like some of the stuff that's happening.
Yeah, the last one gotcha.
It was so good.
Now I'm going on a lot.
What?
Mr. Elam.
Okay, at least he's saying that.
you see anything suspicious
you honk the horn
all right but you stay safe
just drink beer
I think so I bet
road soda
like call somebody else
let them know you're here
exactly
also did he take old Huckleberry or what
is he gonna be like dad you forgot your bat
I'm hoping he has a gun
does he have a weapon
Okay, he does
Good Lord
That got me
I can't believe I haven't
I haven't had my purge pillow
For the whole movie
Well you did get me earlier
Yeah
But it was a purged pillowless purge
I know I know
It sucks
A pillowless purge
Is it really a purge at all
Not really
In my heart it is
But for years it's not
Yeah
Oh oh shit
I don't know why we didn't ask for more people.
I mean, I'd also be scared that...
Wait, is this the same house that Big John Liljol, right?
Yes.
It doesn't look like it now.
See, I'd be afraid because they would get so scared
to leave a weapon in their hands that they might shoot each other.
Yeah, or shoot the wrong.
person.
Ditto.
I think about baking some pumpkin cookies.
Ooh! You got to
bring them. Yeah, duh, dude.
Yummy.
It's a little curious that they
haven't. Oh, no, because Big John's upstairs,
dead. I was like, why haven't they ran
into a dead body yet?
Right now.
Okay. Set them up together.
The eye thing was crazy.
That was so disgusting.
Oh, right.
We were like, he hasn't died yet.
No, no, I'm saying Little John.
Oh, right, right, right, right.
Little John's the tall one.
Right, right.
Yes, you're right.
If you see the murder weapon in somebody,
you should not touch that.
Like, I know it's obvious to you that this was a serial killer,
but it will not be obvious to forensics.
I know, right?
Fingerprints are going to be all over that murder weapon.
I don't know why we're still moving and grooving around here at Solo, but I guess, I get it, trying to help Dad, but...
Oh, oh, oh.
Did he hang him up, his dad up there? Dad's up there, huh?
Oh, yeah.
Is that his dad?
Yeah.
He's fast.
Kevin!
Oh!
Rough.
That's where you get it for.
cheating on our girl in gasoline.
I know, right?
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Okay, good girl.
I'm kind of surprised she can fight
when she never trained at all.
Right.
Oh.
Okay.
Nice, nice stunt there.
They held on that shot.
Shite.
Wow, yeah, that looked amazing.
How is that?
Grab that knife.
We can't have a conversation right now, guys.
We got to.
Like, why are we shouting?
We got to get to work.
Shoot the gun.
I do not remember what happens here.
Oh.
Oh.
Oh, God.
Brutal.
Leave.
You're going to go up.
You don't have.
a leg. Look where the door is. It's literally right behind her.
Leave him alone!
He's dead, honey. Oh my God. Now's
when you run. Now's when you run. He's dead. He's dead. He's dead.
Okay, so now you know nobody... I don't... He's right there. What are we doing?
Like... You're going to run further into the house, huh?
Do it.
Oh.
Do it!
Oh, who's you talking to you?
All right.
You gotta keep going.
I don't think that was enough, but at least you did something.
Definitely not enough.
You just burnt a whole house on fire.
Oh, yeah.
I used to, I don't want to see his face.
If we see his face, I don't want it.
They did that in the last one, and I hated it.
You want your mask?
Come and get it.
You want to fucking kill someone.
Take me.
Mom, I don't.
I think it is smart, though, that, like, that would be something he would be interested in.
Oh, absolutely.
I just really don't want to see his.
Okay, okay.
I'm going to plan here, Mom.
Yeah, we're seeing too much of his face for my liking.
okay why not go on the street why go through the back I don't know but she's smart we
we know she knows how to fight so I'm hoping she's going to like a shed with yeah there's got
she has tactics in it oh she left it right there okay so what's your plan how do you how do you
how do you kill him now because he's gonna go get the mask be cool if we had like a blowtor
It's like a clam thrower.
Okay, you run them over.
That works too.
Gotcha.
That's what she's so last.
That's a nice callback.
Yeah.
And just don't feel the same
as when I did it in the last one.
Of course.
But it is cool that she's trained for this
her whole life and she's the one who twice.
Everyone's entitled to one good scare.
What?
Remember when you all just made the wrong guy jump out a window?
I got sad.
What's about to happen here?
I don't know.
I mean, he doesn't die.
We know that.
But I'm also like, there's 40 people versus one.
We get that his strength is like wild.
He's like so strong.
But I feel like with one point.
hunch he can kill someone oh my god he'll fall over okay we're in a circle and we're shooting it
it's not a good idea okay they're gonna be like oh he's dead they all scatter and then
go be with your daughter jude greer is so good yeah she's great i care a lot about her too
Look at him with the knife.
Remember how he only those two, the fingers left.
Yeah, I love it.
Yeah, give him a stab, at least.
That would make sense.
There we go.
I always thought Michael Myers was flesh and blood, just like you and me.
But a mortal man could not have survived what he has lived through.
Yeah.
The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat.
I'll always be here, won't me.
Yep.
You can't defeat it with brute force.
What were we just looking at?
Michael's mask close up.
I could not just see it.
It was hard to make out.
So he's going to shoot him for measure.
Oh, no, well, there we go.
Oh, wow.
Okay, get into it quick.
Oh, Achilles.
Oh, okay.
All these people had to do it.
weapons i would like to at least see them going for it and then him kill it but the anger that divides
us it is the terror that grows stronger when we try to hide oh creepy as hell dude i hated that
when she was looking at the window the first it was a there was a clown oh little michael clown
the zoom in on that bat
oh yeah
we're gonna kill him off
yeah I guess so
maybe we zoomed in on the bat
because now Michael if he
maybe he'll have it in the
in the next movie
because that bat got a lot of attention
if they don't stop him tonight
maybe we'll find him tomorrow
or next Halloween when the sun sets
and someone is alone
Yeah, okay
Okay
You can't close your eyes
And pretend he isn't there
Because he is
You will this night
Oh god
Wow
I wasn't expected that
Is this real?
Or is it a vision of hers
I don't know.
I don't remember this at all.
I think it's real.
That's crazy, though.
He just killed her?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Why'd she go back in the...
Because I think it's because she saw the little clown.
Like, that was a crazy...
That was my favorite shot.
The little...
It was very subtle.
Really?
Yeah, it was like...
Oh, the clown on.
And I saw, I saw it.
It was wild.
I think maybe that's why.
I'm very upset that they just killed off Judy Greer's character.
Girl, you just got stitched up twice.
I know, I know.
She don't give a fuck.
All right.
All right, citizens of the Reject Nation.
We just watched Halloween kills 2021.
it is the second of the three David Gordon Green movies.
I believe he did the last one.
I'm not sure about that, actually.
Let's see, did he do Halloween ends before I say that?
We're going to be talking about this movie,
just giving you guys our thoughts in general.
But before we do that, don't forget,
while you are on Apple or Spotify, you're whispering out loud, babe.
Sorry, I was just counting the questions.
Sorry.
My bad.
well you're on apple who's probably give us that five star thank you to prepper for helping edit us down
and um if you could go follow us at real rejects we post all that extra juice there yeah he did do all
the Halloween ends also so he did all three of these okay uh in comparison to the last one we saw
and also just in general Tara how are you feeling about Halloween kills uh not not great the last
one is my favorite this one didn't the writing I don't know why it changed so much
very mellow dramatic in some parts uh it was and like a lot of exposition
I don't feel great about it but I didn't I definitely didn't hate it there's worse
Halloween movies out there I think that I dislike more but there was just so many times
during the movie that I was like why why is that what who who said yep keep that in
what do you think the answer to that is like that they maybe had less time or
Yeah, must have.
Like, my assumption is they had such good reviews, such good welcoming from the 2018 one
that maybe they were like, all right, let's hurry up and write another script and film it ASAP.
And didn't take as much time to make it great.
So remember last time I was like, yeah, I remember liking this trilogy.
And then as we were talking about it, I was like, actually, I kind of remember not liking the other ones as much.
is this one. And then the second this started and I remember this was the evil dies tonight
when I was like, oh, I know that I had issues with this. But it did land better watching it
after seeing everything. The second time I watched it, then it did the first time. So just for
reference point, Tara, the first Halloween 2018, the one we watched yesterday, that has a 79%
on the tomato meter. Okay. And a 72% on the popcorn meter. Okay. This movie,
Halloween kills has a 38 on the tomato meter and a 66 on the popcorn meter.
All right.
So they're with me.
The next one, Halloween ends, has a 40 on the tomato meter and a 57 on the popcorn
meter.
So on the popcorn meter, the next one is the worst.
The worst one.
Of the three.
Yeah.
And this one is the worst on the tomato meter.
Got it.
So that's not a great sign.
I don't remember Halloween ends at all.
so I'm curious if I actually did see that one.
This one I remembered a lot.
It's interesting how much I did remember because
usually I forget a lot of movies
and there are a lot of memorable things.
Little John and Big John in this, the man who jumps out
the window. That was so upsetting. I honestly
kind of like they didn't do that. I know.
That was like, that was really sad
and like in crying. And then we didn't like deal with it.
We didn't like talk about it afterwards. I just don't like when
they introduce big concepts like that and then it's like
not a kind of a throwaway.
Yeah. But the dynamic of the women
and I still love Will Patton still does great.
So there was some good stuff.
Should we get to some Patreon questions
and see what they want to know from us?
Okay, thank you to our patrons for submitting these.
We are now taking, I believe, the first eight.
So yes, we'll see how this goes.
Let's start with Madlove.
Madlove says Halloween kills.
Many people didn't like the fact that Michael and Lori
never interact in this film.
I disagree.
I believe this was intentional to further solidify
the fact that Lori is not Michael's target.
His goal has always been to get home.
do you think this was a good choice or do you think there was a way to solidify it while still having a scene with them together solidify it while they're um I didn't really mind it that they didn't have a scene together because they the whole movie before was like yeah was it was them a lot that didn't bug me um I think even though
though in the first one, in multiple ones, even though we're not counting those, he's always
wanted to go home.
That was like his place, like, where he always went back.
I don't know if it has to be separate.
That it's only that he wanted to get home and he doesn't want to get actually Lori.
I think it could be both.
Well, in this movie, they say that it's not.
And I think that's an interesting choice because we did see so many movies where when, when
Lori was his sister, of course it makes sense that he's after her specifically.
Right.
So I do like for this, it's not about.
her it's about getting home but I do think then it there's a lot of weird coincidences of like why he's
so after like because I know that he doesn't choose to go to her house but once he gets there he's like
really gung-ho on stay in there you know so that didn't feel like somebody who wanted to go home
and felt like somebody who wanted to kill the three girls in the house exactly so you know even
though they say even though Frank says in this one it's not about you Lori it like still feels like
it is a little bit about her so because of that I do think this movie definitely suffers from
them not having a scene together to me i've told you guys this franchise is it's about two people it's
about laurie strode about michael my right they weren't on screen together this totally and like
honestly he would remember that she's a babysitter that went after him so why wouldn't you want
to kill her right like duh mike joyce in the house do you think it was a strange choice to turn
michael meyers into a supernatural figure in the original Halloween he only kills a handful of people
but now he's uh practically immortal and wipes out entire group i'm not sure why they felt the need to make
that change hashtag evil ties tonight um i don't feel like it was a big change because even in the
first movie while he only kills five people he gets shot with a gun like 10 times um and i know that
50 cent has also been shot many times and he is the mere mortal but i think that he always has been
kind of had these these supernatural abilities um especially uh yeah especially not not that these ones
count in this but in some of them where he kills like 80 people there was that one that we hated
were using the house with Buster Rhymes.
Trug-a-treat, motherfucker.
Yeah, what was the name of that?
I don't remember that.
All I remember was that called.
That one, he came back to life, like, ten times or something.
Totally.
So it didn't feel like that big of a shift,
and I don't know that they're fully making him supernatural.
As much as Freddie, as much as Jason,
as also, like, Swamp Boy and Michael feel very comparable to me.
Yeah, I absolutely agree.
I don't think it's a change at all.
He was always supernatural.
the fact that you know he fell from balcony was shot six times and then he's gone um and multiple
multiple times you saw him you know get hurt and always just you're waiting for him to go whoop like
that's just his thing so if he if he could get killed you'd be like but why now but why now why now like
he what he had there was so much so i don't think it's that that they're making him into a supernatural figure
I think it's kind of always existed that way.
And tonight, yeah, he kind of went ham on it.
But, yeah, that's just the film.
R.C. Flores, many people didn't like Halloween kills for a variety of reasons.
There are some frustrating plot points, but I liked it.
Michael's living, his fantasy in this one, collecting bodies, work.
This installment also brings back lots of characters from Halloween, 1978, including Tommy.
Tommy.
Lots of people don't like Tommy in this.
movie and were not upset when Michael kills him. What are your thoughts on Tommy and his
incitement of this town's hysteria? How do you feel, terror? Yeah, I wasn't up. I see what you're
saying, where they were not upset. Me neither. I did think it was a little weird when you think
it's stand up there to go, I'm going to tell the story of Michael Myers and get these people on my
side i'm like i then that's fine um and the rest of it of him sort of inciting a crowd and you know
the the poor guy jumps to his death that totally sucked he didn't know that he was doing that
i didn't like dislike uh him that much Tommy that much uh i think he's a great actor
but i also wasn't sad when he died which i should have been if we're you know linking him to
the kid from back before we should have some sort of pull to like when those
characters die and I was just like yeah well I really liked that we brought back the more than just
Lori you know I love that because we left a couple of kids alive so I love that Tommy's character
comes back I love that Lindsay which is Kyle Richards character comes back I I love that we've got
these work these people that have come back I think that's so cool that they still wanted to be
part of the franchise I didn't uh I thought that the that Tommy's character was really frustrating because
he is so gung-hole like he's like I just fought him in the car and chased him off and it's like no you didn't bro like he's just so one-track minded he's like that's Michael and I'm gonna kill him and it's just like exactly what like you have no like this is you don't have stake in this as much I know you knew him as a kid but like take a minute and I and Lori's been training for this moment you haven't been training your whole life for this so exactly he reminds me of hothead a little Gaston or whatever his name was from let's kill the beach
Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
Yeah, yeah. It's that, it's given that energy.
No one fights like Gaston. Yeah, exactly.
Okay. James Henry the second, Halloween kills. For me, this movie is always going to be,
this could have been an email.
With this being the third film in the timeline, Halloween 1, Halloween 2018, and now this,
Michael only killed four people in the original Halloween movie that May Night.
Do you grew the town being haunted by him for 40 years and forming a mob to get
rid of him. I feel like their anger towards him is valid if Halloween 2 through H2O was canon in this
timeline. I definitely see what you're saying. Like, you know, there were, there was a murder in my town
last year. My, my, my, the city that I'm from was, is literally every year voted the safest city
in America. And it's like such a safe place to live. And, uh, this guy walked into the,
these elderly people's house. Um, he thought they were at church. They weren't. And he killed them.
and then yeah and we like all still talk about it like every day like constantly are bringing it up so I do feel like it is and I don't know if we will be in 40 years but I do feel like it's kind of realistic when you're from a town like Haddonfield right where like if they're if you're from a smaller town or like you're from a place that's deemed safe where things like this don't really happen then I don't know if for 40 years people are talking about it all the time and we see like a lot of people don't know this as legend they're like was that real was it not
But I do think it's realistic that there's like an eerie vibe to the town for a long time.
Yeah, I agree.
I think, you know, I get what you're saying, James, but also we have to remember in the last movie,
it not only did he get out, we know he's Michael Myers.
He killed his sister at the age of nine cuckoo freaking bananas,
but he also broke out and killed the other inmates.
Some of them, that was obviously on the news, and the news was building it up,
the movie previously to be like he's out and about and he's like kind of on a on a going rampant with
murders even though he didn't kill that many people in the last movie but I can understand why now
the town seeing the news where they're at that this guy's out and about that they're like yeah
we got we got to get rid of him it it makes sense maybe not as much of like there's so many
people at the hospital that are like let's go and get him like it's like why that's a
a little wild, but I also do kind of get it.
Sean Fleming, Roxanne Tare, my favorite scream queens.
Do you know that evil does tonight?
I remember being so excited to watch this after Blumhouse
crushed the first of the trilogy. They really did.
Unfortunately, this is a middle-of-the-road movie and franchise for me.
I think they nailed the mob mentality with Big John Littlejoner,
and Big John and Littlejohn are hilarious, and they have some awesome kill scenes.
Like the scene with the firefighters was badass.
uh that was cool yeah it's uh but the movie falls short what's your favorite kill scene and how do
you feel about this as a follow-up i think sean that that was like such an accurate you just named
all of the things totally that big john and little john were awesome that they did kill it with the
mob mentality um even though it was really sad they they nailed that that there were some good
kill scenes including the firefighter one but ultimately the movie falls short that you just named all the
things yeah totally the guy who got the knife to the eye i don't like
the eyeball one that was disgusting but great practical effects on that and the knife to the eye
was also a really good practical effect and obviously we already know my opinion on this film
i think that it was really weird that we killed off um judy greer at the end like that that didn't
check out totally sucks we didn't even get like yeah that just didn't work for me so that was my
leisure also i was like why are you going in that house right now yeah that doesn't make sense yeah no
Leon 3
Many of the original actors
From the first movie
Returns except for the original actor of Tommy Doyle
Oh okay so that was somebody different
Nurse Marion already appeared
In Halloween 1978
H2 1981 H20 H2O
And also killed in the last timeline
Oh in that timeline that's interesting
I forgot about that
Do you all think the movie was the proper reunion
For these legacy actors and their characters
I don't think we've kind of
Yeah, I don't, I don't like the movie.
I don't think it was great.
So I don't think it's, like, necessary proper reunion.
But for the actors to come back together and for people to appreciate and go like, oh, yeah, it's this person, this person.
That's, it's nice.
I just wish it would have been a better movie.
Because, like, then those actors would be like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm in the, I'm in that, the remake or whatever, or the sequel, but they'd probably be going around town talking about it if it was.
really good but it's not agreed um all right let's go we have a couple more let's address
awesome joe the flashback to how michael was captured and arrested felt very much like a deleted
scene or an alternate ending for the original film especially the brief performance of the look-like
actor for dr lumas was that a look like there's no way he looked identical right as if it was
actually him would you guys like to see another interpretation of an actor who has
passed and having a look-alike perform in the same way that the original actor did.
Wow.
I mean, he looked exactly like him.
There must have been kind of maybe what they did on stranger things, like that it was a
person who looked like 11, but they also did face stuff over that face to make it
look exactly.
Yeah, they must have because I'm trying to look right now.
There's no.
I mean, and the voice like,
was great sounded like Loomis so okay okay all right so this guy's name is Tom Jones Jr.
What's his picture look like?
His picture looks a little bit like Loomis.
Yeah, okay.
Wow.
Wow.
They did a look like that.
They did a really good job with that.
Yeah, they did a really good job.
And the voice was done by Colin Mahan.
Ah, there we go.
There we have it.
Because I was like, no, not the original guy that's.
No, no, I know.
for this guy the lookalike there was a voice actor attached right yeah oh because you were thinking
you couldn't possibly have that voice and that look i go you're saying yeah there's no way
you're when you're like auditioning for a lookalike you're like i don't know if they're going to be good
or not but also there's no way you're going to sound just like him and that guy really did so
who else who's passed would you want that for um i don't really think that i would not really think
that I would necessarily want that for
I think they're going to have a really hard time
on this next season of Euphoria
explaining what happened with Angus Cloud's character
so I don't know, maybe it would be helpful
for one episode to have it so that
there's an ending.
Yeah. Yeah, I don't really feel like
like I need that.
I can't really think of an example right now,
but I will say that I'm glad that you gave us
that piece of like trivia because I didn't,
I thought it was like old footage or a CGI.
It looked amazing.
It looked really.
good sounded just like him nice job on that dk lounge who was your favorite edition in this movie
mine is big john little john and do you never want to hear the phrase evil dust tonight ever again
correct correct um and also i also yes and yes to big john little john you got perfect you got it
you nailed it because like any of the other oh besides the bartender i did love him um but besides
everyone else i kind of was like yeah whatever there's some corny
lines that they throw in there but big john lozjon i i i like that it was like marco polo let's take one
more question yeah this one's going to come from jay thank you jay for this uh jay says
hallowing kills hi terran roxy sending you don't move it love from all the way from the caribbean
and granada that's cool your reactions bring me so much joy and horror thursdays even better when
i see you both yay love it do you think hollowing kills would have hit harder
if the film focused more on Lori's recovery and trauma
rather than the mob storyline?
Yeah, I mean, there's parts in this movie
where they're saying things and things are happening
where I believe their idea is that the audience
would get emotional or feel something and I didn't.
So, sure, if we hung back and focused more on her,
recovery sure but then if there was a lack of action attached to that that wouldn't be great um but i'm
sure that there would be a good writing move around that to make a still a really good story in her
overcoming what just happened and also finding out that michael is now still not dead yeah there
was a lot to those scenes where she was in the hospital room like trying to grapple with the fact that he
was still alive.
Yeah.
And I would have been...
I love those scenes with her and the guy.
And I think it's also, it's very difficult to recover from something that's still ongoing.
You know, like a lot of people's traumas are things that happened and it's very unlikely
they would ever happen again or impossible that they would ever happen again.
For example, a death of somebody.
It's impossible that that person will die again or something traumatic happens to you.
It's very unlikely that thing will happen again.
With this, seemingly it's not.
And so her having to deal with recovering while also moving forward.
while also knowing it's very likely to take place again all those are very interesting concepts and trying to fight it at the same time totally the mob storyline i think really really was very upsetting yeah and so i understand why they thought that that might work but it actually didn't have anything to do with michael meyers or lorry so it was kind of like a distraction from from the film yeah so i think that's a great question thank you jay for that and thank you to everybody who asks questions um we we try to get to as many as we can there will be a forum in which tara and i
going to be taking more Patreon questions for something else so stay tuned for that but don't worry
there's tons of time to talk about Halloween with us we have one more movie in this franchise left
which means that we need recommendations from you guys about which franchise we should be looking at
next so start sending those in Tara any final thoughts on Halloween kills no I think I said a lot
already all right well without further ado evil dies tonight later rejects
Thank you.
