What is it that you were loving so much about this so far? I think it's a couple of different things. I just feel like the show is kind of found its footing and its heart as opposed to season one, which I enjoyed, but it was lacking heart for me.

And I think coming off of Has Been, which had so many meaningful moving episodes, I feel like they set their intention in the tone of this season so well with parental stuff and lovers and what were forced into. to versus what we choose and autonomy. Uh, I just, I'm really, really enjoying the themes and I have more of a connection to the characters now that we have a little bit of backstory on them, uh, on a lot of them actually, we're getting backstory on everybody. How about you? I agree. I mean, I thought the season one got a lot of hard in the last half of it. I got progressively got more heart and this seems to kick off with leaning into it. Yes. And what's cool is to go back to the origins of how stole us.

and Blitz met because if you watch this season and if you happen to rewatch season one, suddenly it makes those episodes have more meaning and have more heart, like the first half of season one because we know a lot of the pre-contacts going into it and we understand their characterization on deeper levels. So I love when they commit to not just a scene, but a whole backstory. So that way we really understand who they are at their core. Like they're both really just children who were robbed of a childhood at a very young age and forced into lies and manipulation so early on. And then it's a big thing of trying not to repeat their past mistakes as much as possible while they both really want love because they'd never really got love growing up.

Yeah, absolutely. I think that parent stuff hits home. And when you're trying to do better for your children than your parents did for you, I think that that's something that a lot of people can relate to. Yeah. Yeah, I just, I think they're doing a brilliant job. And I agree where this actually makes season one even stronger, but I don't think that this could have come before season one.

have so much more weight because we knew that he hated him from last season when they interacted and he kept calling him blitz and he's like you know you took the a oh off and then we did it this season too so it was and we had heard that he hated him and I was just kept thinking like what could he have done that and that made sense and then he was able to help with that so yeah that that full circle makes me really think actually they had season two totally mapped out before season one yeah yeah because it lines up too well and this to me is that great blend of really fun meet something with a lot more depth I think it did a good meshable even to have like a fun song that's all about

distracting this show or this episode this episode I think this episode is the best hybrid of the two things they usually go down one can be a lot more emotional and one could be a lot more wacky and this to me had the best blend of wacky and emotional i'm super with you i think greg we have had we're on the same page for the entire show pretty much yeah yeah because this one again there's another character that surprised me i didn't whenever the just character showed up he seemed like a one-note quirk that when we first cut to him at the beginning of this i was going all right how long are we going to be here for because this guy can be kind of annoying if we're with them for too long and they've managed to I think they do a really good job at

naturally pulling back the layers on characters to the point where it doesn't feel like they're rewriting the characters they're expanding on them in a way that actually fits without it being like oh we're doing a complete 180 on who they are they always feel like the same person at the end of the day yep it's not like they're rec conning things they're like I totally feel you there they're like this person that you that you think you might not like actually let's go into why they are the way that they are and it's not it's not taking away from what the story they've already told us it's adding layers to make us understand more so yeah i'm super into this season so far a couple questions for you number one because we're halfway through this season compared to season one where is this landing for you right now i feel like it'll probably be stronger stronger for the most part yeah who are you who's your favorite character in the season uh this season it's different than last season right because we're getting a little bit less of million moxie the first season seemed to kind of just focus on the imp group right uh i i was

there's blitz right now the way they utilize blitz as a supporting character but consistently expanding on who he is as a character throughout the other characters taking the lead has been really well done and this he's been my personal favorite what about yourself i think stolis which is like i i love blitz also but stole this to me during season one was very one note oh okay and just because like he loved blitz and wanted to get boned by blitz and just wanted blitz and i'll go with you blitz wherever you want yes i love blitz and we saw i'm cheating on his wife and i didn't understand why but trying to be a good dad and i was like what's going on here and then this i'm just like learning about his his dad and learn

what had happened and then seeing why he's into blitz and yeah i just i've just loved his journey in this season i love i love him and season one i think my favorite character was milly first it was moxie then it was milly and now yeah i think it's stolis that's cool that my favorite character keeps changing yeah and i would say stolis and blitz are probably the two main leads and i think they do a really good job of making you understand the push and pull on their dynamics did you think that season one that they were the main leads yeah i think they were i felt like blitz was the lead in one i think stolis i don't know the fan base on this if i were to take a guess i would say blitz is the lead but stolis is the real star to a lot of people oh really that would be the impression in one and

too yeah the way how like um uh in has been hotel there's you know charlie morning star is the main character but everyone probably talks about oh my god's like i gotta's alister alister is like the star but charlie's the lead and i would kind of say this i would imagine it's something kind of similar with this one yeah yeah i hear you in that okay yeah i'm super it's like we had a couple episodes where i was like i don't care as much about it but this episode did a great job of bringing me back in general i think that this is elevated from last season i whenever we shoot the second half of this i'm like amped for it yeah and the songs have been consistently really good too they've been very engaging songs yeah i'm super with you i'm gonna just

through characters totally um in general uh it has been a minute since we watch has been but i prefer has been is like has me by the throat i love has been but i wouldn't say that's because it's plot first character second i'm i'm a character driven uh fan so i i typically because i love television so much you kind of have to be a character first person i think a lot of people who love movies or plot first a lot people love tv or characters first because you just get to live with them for so much longer so yeah typically i'm character first well i think however boss has a little bit more episodes that sometimes advance the plot but weirdly don't feel as character driven that could just be kind of fun

um whereas hasman i think because it was an amazon show they had to be a lot more particular so every episode was very character-driven you right you right so yeah do you have a preference yeah character focus first and letting that dictate the plot i think it's really engaging Greg twinning today twinning you know the difference between you and me um genital parts that and you haven't punched me yet because of genital parts It'll register differently. There hasn't been a musical number yet that, because the first season had a couple that were like, the one with Moxie and Blitz that was like Beauty and the Beast meet some type of psychedelic trip. That was so good. The one with the star. with Stolas they've had ones that just packed so much more meaning and weight these have been more these have been consistently fun but i don't think any of them have come close to topping the impact of those other ones also a lot of the songs in this one are in the background our people

aren't singing them yeah and they're a little bit more this ones are more just more comedy leaning bless you yeah like the one we just it's not like the one we just listen to is one that i'm like i want to listen to that every morning when i wake up but it was so fun yeah they're so catchy there's still fun a lot of the same type there's a type of joke of which is like pointing out the self-awareness of the present moment it's very much like i was set rogan humor used to be just acknowledging like the reality of the situation have you ever seen the play avenue cue is that with the puppets yes uh i've heard the soundtrack okay this is kind of reminding me of that where a lot of their songs it's like it's very well done but it's like they're all

terms of Millie and Moxie osmodius osmodia sounds more correct Millie and Moxie are are like couple goals they really are and this is the first time we saw it and have like a real conflict but even then the way they resolve was like yeah that's how they resolved I'm not just saying this but honestly Millian Moxie are kind of Greg and Olivia coded I think so yeah I think I am the softness that is it's not it's not a it's not the softness it's just like you guys are fiercely loyal to each other and also i think she would genuinely stab somebody if they've effed with you yeah that's her thing yeah like like she can make fun of me a bunch and whatever give me crap in front of people
