Starting point is 00:00:27 Maybe it's just a phase you're going through. You'll get over it. I can't help you with that. The next appointment is in six months. You're not alone. Finding mental health support shouldn't leave you feeling more lost. At CAMH, we know how frustrating it can be trying to access care. We're working to build a future where the path to support is clear,
Starting point is 00:00:48 and every step forward feels like progress. Not another wrong turn. Visit camh.ca to help us forge a better path for mental health care. It started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home, a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage. By the time it was over, she was dead, and he claimed LSD made him do it. His name, David Minor the 4th, and we talked to him. Listen to Invisible Choir every other week as we uncover the most haunting true crimes you've never heard of, available wherever you get your podcasts. Thank you to Acorns for sponsoring this video.
Starting point is 00:01:37 More on them in just a bit. Now you see us. Now you... I messed up, Tara. I was trying to help you out. I saw you put your face up. I did it. I didn't come up with the right bit at the time.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Cut! How are you disappointing? You failed, Greg. Guys, we're here to watch. Now you see me Thress, now you see me do not. I love these movies. I was so excited when like, what, over a year ago, I put you two on it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:06 I was like, oh, man, I love these films. They are the silliest, goofiest things, and I always have a great time watching them. I don't care how much crap these movies get. They are a blast, and I chew them up. I'm excited to watch Part 3. Did you guys skip the trailers as well? I haven't seen the trailer for this. I have not seen the thing.
Starting point is 00:02:25 I didn't even know this was coming out, so I'm very excited. I'm excited. No trailer for me. Love to hear. Love to hear. I'll start with you. Andrew. How are you feeling today? I'm excited. I really enjoyed these films. When I reacted to them with Tara, they are extremely introspective. They're deep, and I love them so much. Now, they're very entertaining. They're a lot of fun, thriller, heist movies. I thought you were getting sincere. I was like, well, you're like, I'm glad someone got something out of them. But I keep on going. No, no, I really actually do enjoy them. They're very fun and entertaining.
Starting point is 00:02:57 and I'm excited to see what's in store with this one. Tara, how are you doing? I'm feeling pretty good. Look at my ring. It matches my sweater. And I had a purple shirt on before, but now I have this cool shirt back on. Strange of things. Let's freaky go. Love to see it.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I'm doing good. How are you? Tell the people. I'm doing good. Now that we are going to watch now, you see me three. I'm feeling pretty good today. I'm excited. Genuinely excited.
Starting point is 00:03:18 You know what else excites me? Those who become royal rejects as are those who join our Patreon page. Full-length trash and watch all. I'm sticking with your own copy. You can now rent or buy this. Prime video or wherever video on demand is. That's right, Lionsgate. Pay us. Pay us top dollar.
Starting point is 00:03:33 You haven't yet. We want the money. You copyright claim us all the time. Never let us monetize our videos. But pay us instead. We'll be fine. But you know what else is a great sense of magic? The wonderful world of Oz.
Starting point is 00:03:46 That's right. This shirt is actually an RR shirt. Because on the back of it is a crazy wicked design. Because I knew you. I have been changed for good. Don't get water in that shirt. You're welcome. Aaron came up with this design like a year ago
Starting point is 00:04:07 when the last Wicked movie was coming out and now we can finally launch it with the most confidence in the world. Now that Wicked's been out for a couple of weeks. Late to the game, although it was prepped a year ago. You got a ride SEO, man. You ride relevancy.
Starting point is 00:04:23 I can learn a lesson or two from this. This is how you succeed in your You too, people, and how you succeed in running a merch line. Anyway, RejectnationShop.com. You scan that barcode right here on screen or go to the link in the description box and pin comment. You know how we do. Guys, are you ready to venture into the apocalypse for the four horsemen? Let's see some magic.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Let's go. Did you think we abandoned you? Or that we'd run out of magic? I love Fisher's back in this. I didn't learn that. It's been 10 years since the horseman last appeared. But we are. Cool title.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Has it been 10 years since now you see me too? Because the more you think you see, the easier it'll be to dress up old tricks. Back to longer hair. My name is Jay Daniel Atlas and allow me to speak as I often do for my life. He cares. He's very good to be back. Doesn't have curly hair anymore. He's straightened it out.
Starting point is 00:05:18 He vanished for a while, but in the world of magic, everything that disappears, reappears. Well, at least if the trick is done right. Hey, Merritt. It's a real magic, baby. Pandemics, climate change, AI. Let's face it. Y'all need magic more than ever. Yeah, we do.
Starting point is 00:05:38 You are not going to want to miss this next trick. Look who's back. Hanley Reeves, now Henley Reeves, Scanley. Three kids, two dogs and a master's degree. It's been a while. Did you miss us? It's been a while. Is that real gold?
Starting point is 00:05:55 What? Oh, my guys, this is part of the con. Yeah, I'm rich. Ah. Every fool here is a pickpocket, or a pickpocket's food. Ah. Each of you just received a playing card. If you wouldn't mind pulling it out.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Great, now we're gonna shuffle the deck. Like my playing card on the back. Exactly. And switch cards with them. And then when you've done that, find somebody else. And switch with them. Now, you there in the green. What is your card?
Starting point is 00:06:21 Ace of Diamond. She immediately knew was her. Anybody else here have the Ace of Diamonds. Looks like we have a fifth horseman not named Lula. I'm up on stage, you're gonna be our helper. Wow, this feels just like the last two, like they haven't missed a beat. Now, look into my eyes and... We hypnotize you.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Nice. Still got it. Like the self-awareness. He is going to do extraordinary magic like... like a man possessed literally oh would you mind stepping inside his body what whoa what I do best they're not even trying to make it seem like real magic at all right it is a holographic or something takes a village to make to be a holographic projection or some shit.
Starting point is 00:07:31 J. Daniel Atlas in the house. So who wants to see a magic? Oh my God. Hello, you beautiful people. Now, everyone knows that Merritt McKinney reads mine. I'm sensing someone came here tonight not to enjoy magic, but to tear it down. This is Woody Harrelson when he had hair. Brett Finnegan.
Starting point is 00:07:55 in the house. What up? Oh, the rich D-bag. Oh, his watch is missing. Already? I looked like it just now. Hobart crypto exchange. Look at his wrist.
Starting point is 00:08:08 If the good people of New York's employee pension and welfare fund half its cash. Also, the wrist were laid out very clearly. Everybody knew what they were getting into it. Oh, this. What a dish. It's to get this guy. In five, three, two, nine. Oh, he's broke now.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Watch. Gone. Merritt's a psychic, but me, Jack, I'm into sleight of hands. Ask your friends, they just have their part to close the wealth. Oh, wow. Slate of hand. There's a little redistribution. Nice.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Kind of like a callback with Arthur, Michael Cain's character, giving it out to The hand is quicker than the eye Everybody, I want you to take your drink And I want you to pour it onto the face of your card Can you do that? What is going to be revealed? 12 unique words on each of your cards Form the password to your new crypto wall
Starting point is 00:09:13 Oh! Dispers the money Pollen millions more, fairly redistributed. Ah. 50,000 bucks. Yeah. justice because I am having a vision maybe cops are gonna come bursting through that door to perform a magic trick of your own and disappear in three
Starting point is 00:09:33 two what that's a dumb ass yeah were they never even there they were never there that's awesome Very cool No No Nice opening Now you don't Yeah I think my atlas was good my merit could probably some work it's like a San Diego stoner and a shrimp boat captain out of babies
Starting point is 00:10:12 Are they gonna hand off the baton to these three? I'm J Daniel Atlas The closer you look the less you see I thought I was listening to Jesse Eisenberg It's locked again I'll pick it Wait wait wait hold on do the thing No please do the thing
Starting point is 00:10:31 It's so I'll hold your bag What is the thing Is she gonna jump over? What did she do Oh my god she's a parkour girl Extreme Parkour, pack on Yeah that's a fairly accurate
Starting point is 00:10:49 description oh i love her please let us in it's cold so cool oh i love all good warehouse oh that's awesome that was really fun are they manipulative are they like a i they're like yeah just using them oh that's a cool review oh that is cool fascinating that they were working with them So did I. Bosco, can you check for pizza? That's an elaborate type of scheme. So they're still gone. They're literally just...
Starting point is 00:11:24 Any takers? Yeah, I'll have one. Oh, there it is. There's just real hair. Seriously, turn that thing off. I did. Oh, he's there. I'm not a hologram.
Starting point is 00:11:32 For the right moment to reveal himself. Oh my God, you're real. Never touched my face again. Ah. How did you find us? I don't know. Took me about 30 seconds. And if it was this easy for me to find you,
Starting point is 00:11:43 how hard would it be for the police? Well, hold on, the police. The po-po. Yeah, Bosco Leroy. What did you type a fictional magician name into Chatch, PT? Oh, that's actually my real name, Atlas. Would your mom have sex with a map? He came in with that comeback from ChatGBT.T. You don't know anything about us. This is the best comeback to come.
Starting point is 00:12:01 I know everything about you. The dubiously named Bosco Leroy. Promising acting career. New school magic versus old school. If memory serves, your last paid gig, I think, was dressing as Elmo and Times Square. First of all, I've been like Elmo. Kicked out of every boarding school your parents forced you to attend. You think the olds broke the planet and it's your generation's duty to clean up their mess. Am I wrong? No.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Charlie Geese. Yeah, aye. It's such a fan boy. You know you were an orphan and you were in and out of foster care, your entire childhood and that you didn't know the meaning of family until you hooked up with these two. Love it. All leading to your riskiest theft to date. My identity. You had our faces plastered on every scaffolding and subway stop in the city. That's copyright infringement, by the way. Of course I was there.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Yeah, you. What'd you think? I think your merit needs work. I knew it. That's a sensitive topic. You don't know. But... You, I assume, the quiet guy, textbook behind the scenes.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Yeah. Well, Alexander Herman. He said that the people who designed his tricks were the real geniuses. The fact that you know that man's name. Behind the scenes, clearly. Yeah, I could see why the eye sent me to you. I'm sorry. Did you say the eye?
Starting point is 00:13:12 Oh my God, we're finally going to unpack what this eye is. This card arrived at my apartment three weeks ago. Circle is now complete. Instructions hidden in the lining for a trick, bigger and better than anything you have ever seen. A trick that for some reason includes the three of you. Us. Why not the other horsemen are dead? What? No.
Starting point is 00:13:30 To me, they're dead to me. Stop and interrupt. Everyone quit. I took a walkabout in Australia. It's a long story. Oh boy. Now you need us. According to that card, yes. We don't need you, so. Dude, don't be an asshole. What do we need this guy for? We're crushing it.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yeah, using his face. You're stealing a little money from some crypto, bro. I am talking about big fish here, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm talking about something that will make a real difference. That's what your kids are all about. It is. No, exactly, yes, we are.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Yeah, but I think we can catch our own fish. Bosco! Bosco just wants money. Suffern you a 400-pound Marlin, dude. He's a freaking legend. He was a legend, now. He's just kind of a dick. Can you... Okay, sure.
Starting point is 00:14:08 He didn't know him before. He was always a dick. Okay, decision time, kids. What's it gonna be? Are you in? Or are you out? I really hope the other horsemen are a big part of the story, though. What's the trick? L'rmbrombeau, South Africa.
Starting point is 00:14:27 We are gathered here tonight to Senderberg. Is that Rosamond Pike? The latest and greatest mine, C3, or as we like to call her, a Machle. Is this a different director? Yeah, Ruben Fleischer. I didn't know it was him, but I had a feel, it's like, it felt like a different director, did it? All three films are a different director, Louis Lettier. Jean Chou and then this.
Starting point is 00:14:48 The board fields it projections might be optimistic. With increasing competition from LabGrohn and in the event borrowing rates client. William. My father loved you, but there was a reason he called you his dark cloud. Oh, she greedy. This diamond is, say, what?
Starting point is 00:15:07 35 carats. The AWDC would price it at $3 million. Wow, that's so cool. Open your mouth and stick out your time. Oh God. Don't swallow it. We all know how that ends. Really? I love her, I do us. Now if William here were to swallow it, that self-same diamond would tear his throat to shrink.
Starting point is 00:15:29 He would bleed to death before paramedics arrive. Then don't swallow it. So to the AWDC, it's three million, but to William, priceless. Yeah, skin nervous he is. Tell me then, as the CEO responsible for the world's last great diamond mines, should I undercut our profit, Or should I choose prices that I know our unique clients will pay? The latter. We go for uniqueness.
Starting point is 00:15:53 He's like, can I spit this out, please? Thank you. No. Ooh. It was not in the job description. I would like to head to the end work with my price list and show off our stones. It's interesting they would go to the bad guy first. I'm wondering if she's really a bad guy because the other ones don't cut to the bad guy.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I don't know. I don't want to fall for any of bullshit this time. I just go to sit there. I like the way they're using text. No, it's such a modern-day way of doing that in film. Okay, we have three days to prepare an effect that'll make your barely passable Pepper's Ghost Rift look like a cave painting. All right, come here.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Look at him, the mentor now, Greg. The heart diamond. But I really hope the other three are a big part of this movie. Still not here. Now, for years, the families kept this big rock hidden inside their secret vault. 70 stories underground. And not just any ground. the Arabian Desert
Starting point is 00:16:46 Look at that real desert Fun and terrifying at the same time No one beyond their most trusted team has been inside Access through a single elevator Constantly monitored by armed guards Ooh This is like what they do for nuclear weapons Yo
Starting point is 00:17:00 That diamond is being traveled here Wow But what makes this diamond so special Well because the magical tarot card Called us to June right okay that's very cute But can I please finish What being an asshole man First Peter Vanderberg now his daughter Veronica
Starting point is 00:17:14 have been selling these diamonds at inflated prices to arms dealers, traffickers, warlords, the world over to help. Veronica's Rosamine Pike. So, I mean, the cash is dirty. I mean, in some case, it's like literally blood-soaked. Oof. But then, voila, it's cleaned in exchange for these precious stones.
Starting point is 00:17:30 She makes all the world's worst people possible. How do I get in that room? And they want us to do something that the horseman never could. This, man, this is a chance to drive a stake through the heart of the devil herself. Let's do it. I have to look dazzling. Do you have that kitten kiss color? Is she really bad?
Starting point is 00:17:49 I don't know. There's something here. She makes all the worst people in the world possible. But I'm suspicious of the fact that we keep cutting to her POV. They didn't show that one guy at the end of the table. Perfect. I'll have a duck. This is Veronica.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Hush little baby. Oh, God. Who is this? Is that her father? Is that her father? It's been her father was saying. Jigsaw. This is a private line, and that was a bit turned dead.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I asked who you are. Ah, Veronica, the storage units to your lift. Is it someone she wronged with all that blood money? I love the furniture. Ooh. God, you should make your apartment look like this. Terra, damn. Snoose.
Starting point is 00:18:36 No, thanks. This means nothing to me or anyone. There's no sentimental value. Oh. Look, if you have real. evidence and you're out to get me. Why not just use it? It's actually so hard to do a South African accent. She's killing it. Yeah. Yeah. It is. I'm going to do the same to you, Al one. It started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home,
Starting point is 00:18:59 a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage. By the time it was over, she was dead, and he claimed LSD made him do it. His name, David Minor, the fourth, and we talk to him. Listen to Invisible Choir every other week as we uncover the most haunting true crimes you've never heard of, available wherever you get your podcasts. So, damn it, you're going to give it to you. I'm going to hold up a looking glass for the whole world to see you as you are. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Go ahead. I have nothing to hide. It's fascinating. There's two different things happening with Jesse Eisenberg in the eye because it's a matter of principle. And then with this, whoever's speaking to, it's personal. But they're going to intertwine with each other. Hi, can you help me find this?
Starting point is 00:19:58 I've been looking literally for an hour. Yes, it's going to be right over there, man. Nice. Love that. Love this. Great tracking shot. Everything about that I love. Mark Schreiber, James Wynn, Fanderberg, T.R.
Starting point is 00:20:11 James, that's been done. She booked you into the Radisson Blue and the partial view double. Thankfully, I took the liberty of moving you to the front. I do love the frog. Oh my God. Gal invitation to his ascot. I like that they should have an actual location,
Starting point is 00:20:30 real background extras and proper time. That's what they want you to think. You're seeing, Greg, it's an illusion. Someone gets it. What honest woman wants a falsehood on her finger? Natural or rare. Falshood, falsehood, falsehood, falsehood. Falshood.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Falshood. Real diamonds fill people with passion as they have four centuries. That's right. In fact, Marie Antoinette wore the Hope Diamond for a single day. Ah. And a month later was dragged to the guillotine by some very, as you say, passionate folks. And truth is, she never even wore the hope. People just believe she did.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Really? That's kind of interesting. So it was not the mob that killed her. Mm. And it was not the guillotine. It was a story. I must not know my own guest list. Are you in the diamond business?
Starting point is 00:21:16 No, no, I'm in the illusion business like you. Ah, sick burn. These diamonds were worthless until some very smart, very rich people like Veronica here told us that not only are these little shards of glass rare, but that no self-respecting couple could possibly get married with that one. No, that one is a good magic trick. That is true. We have just taken on this belief system. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:37 All the good ones have a little twist. You must spend a lot of money on it. Is it you? This weren't me. Of course not. not. No. No, I mean, he wouldn't have let me in had I not demonstrated the finest moral fiber like some of your other guests. I noticed Louise Bresseno, the arms dealer over there. Perhaps you'd care to reveal yourself. Then we can apply the same scrutiny. Not just yet. I'm sorry
Starting point is 00:21:56 for interrupting. I feel like his face should be super famous in this world, though. Yeah. But time has passed. So many things happened in the world, Craig. I trust you can do me and the heart justice. Because I only have one rule. What I say goes. Well, I'm sure I can find my submissive side. Oh. Okay. If not, I'll find it for you.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Is that our guy, is that the guy, the one who's a dick? I like you. Right this way, doll. Yeah. The one from the, they picked up? Yeah, yeah. I don't want to be too matte. Sure, sure, sure.
Starting point is 00:22:28 But I don't like the sides of my nose shining. Okay. Excuse me, can the little fruit fly in my shop please shoe, shoe, shoe, shoe. I did my research on you. Your industry, like mine, is besieged by manufacturer law, but you bring us beauty as it is. Let's add so much fun in this role. His beard looks fake, Aaron Taylor Johnson. Well, I argue that we don't sell at all.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Others buy. The diamond, take it out. Hi, boy. How do we steer the diamond? Take it out. Or find yourself a new photographer. Or are you asking, are they like, is he impersonating him? Is that what you're asking?
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I figured that out. Yeah. Sorry, I was confused on your question, but yeah. We're all in the same bitch. Up. And she's always hoping you'd ask. I don't remember asking.
Starting point is 00:23:18 But I'm bum. Really immersing self into the character that he's portraying. Put it in your mouth now. You, madam, are for enough. That guy's watching. shine here than the time and actually I'm doing my job. I don't get ordered to me. When it comes to the heart you listen to me out.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I can walk myself. Thank you. Is she really quick like Jack? Was she able to snatch? If you're all you purport to be, you should already have what you need. I feel like she switched it. More than enough.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Thank you. Excellent. She switched it. Maybe. How is she switching? I don't know. Is it something like one of those weird legacy sequels? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Time's taking it. Let's go. Are they doing a handing off baton type of sequel? Oh. Oh. Nice. So sexy. This is all in one shot. Let's freaking go.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Not being seen in person for a quarter of a century. The heart. Congratulations to all of you. And for getting away with it for so long. See a guy clapping in the back. Climate change doesn't believe in you, either. I like him as an addition, though. It's a really...
Starting point is 00:24:43 It's a different skill. Time is also precious, and you're wasting mine. Maybe he's using them. Why don't you stop sucking on plastic straws and suck on this? Oh. Ooh. My name is Jay Daniel Atlas. You may remember me as your personal favorite of the four horsemen of magic.
Starting point is 00:25:02 I mean, it's not a real diamond. Now watch closely as I make the same. Miss Hart Diamond appear on my palm. Gee whiz, he must be as starved for attention as Greenpeace here. The diamond is completely safe. Now, a wise man once told me, in the mirror, in fact. Never assume you're the smartest person in the room. Prove it.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Be my guest. Hey, callbacks. All right, well, let's see if we can get that case open. Abercadabra. Huh, nope. Al-a-Kazam. Shazam. Open Sesame.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Oh! Still safe with me. Oh god I guess you did switch it Now as your ads like to remind us diamonds are forever Hey that's what James Bond would say Oh shit Nice that's my man there we go saving your ass

Starting point is 00:27:20 Okay, that explains you. Lovely reunion. We have to go. And Lee Reeves, welcome. We missed you on the sequel. Okay, come. I like how they're all family going to go for her return. return.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Up there. I like Ruma Fleischer's edition. He always knows how to have fun, and he's shooting a lot of this in a wide lens, too. Also nice to be reunited with Woody and Jesse, zombie land. Cool. Hellie. Is it gone? It's just gone.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Magic helicopter, baby. Look up. What? That's awesome. Oh, uh-oh. Cool. Nice. Love me a good zeppline.
Starting point is 00:28:14 It was in my hand the whole time. It never... It didn't swap the dog. It swapped the box. I swapped the case. You, ma'am. Oh, fuck. Damn.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Ah, that did happen in the background. And we missed. Ah. Money stopped sucking on plastic straws. Nice. Nice. So freaking cool. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Awesome. Awesome. That's fun when you watch it a second time now you know what to look for. So cool. He had it the whole time. Nice. Diamond are forever. Fellow rejects.
Starting point is 00:29:02 Maybe you'll identify with. what I'm about to say. I've never had the healthiest relationship with money. It's not because I'm a big spender or something like that. I just, my entire life carried around this general anxiety around it. A constant fear that I'm going to lose everything. When I don't have much, I'm never going to gain anything. Because yeah, like I'm a family fought about money all the freaking time. And, you know, we lost our home to bankruptcy when I was much younger. And even though I'm a grown adult now, that fear has just never evaporated. And that is why with today's sponsor, I signed up for them before they ever partner with us. That is Acorns. Starting point is 00:30:21 Because when I do, it reminds me I'm building something and I've already built something from it already after a couple years. And you can experience this, too. Starting point is 00:31:18 Thank you again. No, it'd be shinier. Okay, all right, give it back. Oh, sorry. I like Rosamette Pike's addition to this. Don't do that again. She's great. These are the wonderful kids that deep faked our show.
Starting point is 00:31:30 What? You had the cops sent to my house. You freaked down my kids. How proud of you is? How are the kids, though? How was the whole boring suburban life you left us for? Hey, relax, man. You missed your shot. You see the size of that rock? No, let me see that.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Ooh, it's no hard diamond, but it's impressive. I already told you, Danny, I didn't feel safe trying to escape from a straitjacket hanging upside down. Hmm. How long did it take you to replace me in afternoon? Speaking up, how is Lula? Are you guys still, uh... No.
Starting point is 00:31:57 She's talking to them or the producers. She moved to Paris. I don't know. She dumped the great Jay Wilder. My God. What? Don't you need to be on some like cruise ship somewhere, humiliating yourself? Amidating myself?
Starting point is 00:32:07 Yeah. I make five figures per cruise. You can feel the animosity feels towards them. Speaking of, I got to get back to it. This liver's not going to destroy itself. That's a great line. You're leaving? Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:17 I mean, great catching up. I don't know. What? See you in another tent? Ah. Well, I'm out of here, too. I have a gig to get to. Really?
Starting point is 00:32:25 They covered your Uber. Signed in NDA. Can't say a word. I don't get it. Why did you break up? Ask them why we broke up. If it was up to me, we wouldn't know. Tell us.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Really. No, no. No. We really have to live through this again? We made some huge mistakes. Because of us, Dylan Shrike will never see the outside of a Russian prison again. Who? Mark Ruffalo?
Starting point is 00:32:48 Okay, he's a horseman. Come on. Your homework, man. Oh, but he was the hooded figure at the beginning, right? Sorry, guys. I had no idea. Well, he's stuck in there forever? Which is obviously a tragedy and something I'll never forgive myself for. No a lie.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yeah, fine, man, but it didn't mean you have to quit. Only a bummer, guys. Sorry about that. Someone explained to me why these prepubes are even here. Same reason you are, man. I wanted him. Well, we got the heart. What does the I want us to do next? I bet Mark Ruffalo is the one who gave that to them. Could be Thaddeus.
Starting point is 00:33:18 They're gonna get in touch. Yeah, probably. Whoa, wait, wait. Alice, can I see your car? Yeah. It's a map. It's a map. Hey, Atlas, it's your dad.
Starting point is 00:33:31 It's a map that only reveals itself when the horsemen are together. That chance. I mean, come on. The eye obviously wants you guys to do this. You're the horsemen. Start acting like it. Get your shite together. You guys are legends. Great power comes great magic. I suppose Rosa Rae Doe can wait a couple days.
Starting point is 00:33:51 I can try to reschedule this gig. gig, it's not going to be easy, but I'll figure it out. My god. I mean, I have kind of missed running for my life and jumping off rooms with you guys. It's good to have you back. Okay, so where is this place? But Lizzie Kaplan would be a horseman as well, right? Like, she'd be part of the eye?
Starting point is 00:34:10 I think so. I would understand more of how Lizzie Kaplan is considering the event. She's probably busy having kids in a family. Please don't post photos of the top secret location. I don't want to be in it. It's so funny watching the old school clash with the new school. Yeah, there's something kind of odd about watching Jesse Eisenberg play an older person. I've never seen a door like this.
Starting point is 00:34:30 You got this, Jack? Just say open Sesame. Wait, don't you mean, June? Jack's our lock pick. Come on, this isn't fair. I've been picking lock since before she was born. Let me find the keyhole. Adapt to the new world.
Starting point is 00:34:42 You're inspiring confidence right now, Jack. He's got it. I guess Dave Franco is older, huh? I don't think this is a lock you pick. I think it's a lock you solved. Don't move out of the way. Isn't she the one who's solved? the map too. Get her done, girl.
Starting point is 00:34:56 You could hook up with her, Jack. June's too good for him. Jack and June. Ooh, look at the eye. Cool. You might want to update your game, Jack. Hey. I think he loosened it for her, ultimately.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Wow. What is this place? P.T. Selma's coffin? Hey. See? Where's? I don't see. I don't see huge.
Starting point is 00:35:22 That's cool. Oh, Charlie, check this out, dude. We're at the point now where this franchise can reference itself. No way. That's when you know you've made it as a franchise. I feel like Jesse Eisenberg's got to get through to Guy. Hey, guys, dead end. Or is it?
Starting point is 00:35:40 Pull a book. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, it is. Hmm, that's weird. The dye should be here. This ball should be here. Open sesame. Nice.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Good thing they came along, otherwise. They would have been stuck outside for a long time. Four rows. One, five, eight, four. Is it a code? 1584, the discovery of witchcraft. It's the first book on stage magic. It's when it was published.
Starting point is 00:36:10 How do you know that? He's basically a computer full of useless information. Sounds like someone I know. Useless information. That useless information is coming in handy. Useless. Yeah, like I call it. him out though right away. Remember how I said along like three hours ago, pull a book?
Starting point is 00:36:28 They could have just been pulling them all and figured it out. Unreal. Nice. This is us when we went to the escape room. Yeah, Andrew was a major contribution. Oh, yeah, they've never heard me so silent. Hey guys, it's the floor plan of the chateau. It's different somehow. Up is right. Morgan Freeman, Thaddeus? Thaddeus. So good to see you. So good to see you, darling. Just check the ring, Cameron, buzz this in.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Now, where's the fun in that? Like how there's like such a sentimentality and nostalgia feeling. I've never seen a Louberlens this big in person. Really? You ain't seen nothing yet. So you sent the tarot cards? No. I've long since given up such foolishness and your collective dysfunction. Ha ha. No, the only magic I do nowadays is...
Starting point is 00:37:21 Do you think the guy who called... Some weeks ago, how Rosamont Pike. It's got to be dealing. Warning me to prepare this chateau for the arrival of seven, soon could be fugitives from the law. Assume that whatever it is they want you to do next is hidden somewhere in these walls. Used to be their home.
Starting point is 00:37:41 In 1943, the Allies needed military miracles from every source. They enlisted the aid of some of the most talented magician. of the time. Oh, that's cool. It's like a magic crystal ball. Cardboard, lights, thousands of inflatable rubber tanks to misdirect the Germans.
Starting point is 00:38:03 That's cool. The genius of Jasper masculine. Somebody knows this history. Useless information. Wait, so what do the Nazis have to do with the diamond? That I do not know. But the answer is here.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Somewhere. We just have to start looking. I feel you can AI that information. She just asked Chechie B. Take pictures of the room. Take pictures of the room and put all the text of the book. Interpol said it was an inside job. Teves knew exactly where the blind spots were. X, formerly known as Twitter.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Inside spy? Was it your bodyguard, the one in the front? Let me guess. You're the one behind these horsemen in their little stable hands. No, why would I ask for the diamond and then try to steal it? Uh-huh. I figured out a way to get it back and fussed. Hello.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I understand that you and your race team will be in WW later this week, a perfect neutral. This person sounds like they have an accent. If you have one. She does not. Now they're saying the horsemen have been seen in France. The head of the French police owes me. Just call him and say that I want these horsemen's heads served up on a platter. Wouldn't be shocked if he's working with who is on the phone?
Starting point is 00:39:10 Daddy has told us to look for something. What do you think it is? Oh, well, this is cool. I've never been able to predict any of these movies, and I don't feel any closer. You are not a big topper. Oh, sorry. But you are a big apologizer. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:39:22 I'm a big fan of you guys, and I got the cops called on, and I'm really... I'm apologetic. You guys made the horse them look good. If I didn't see you, why weren't you in it? Oh, I just prefer to be behind the scenes, you know. You're shy. Do you really prefer that, or is that just something you hide behind? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:39:47 For years, I told myself I wanted to be an assistant. Stumbed all the entrance. I didn't mind being upstage by Atlas. So brilliant. But really I just, I was afraid to take the spotlight. This is actually so hard to shoot this shit. All these fucking mirrors got to work around. They don't want to be exposed by the mirrors.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Pretty cool. Wow, awesome. Nice doctor strain shot. Oh, so cool. Stay down room. Cool. Cool. They're in the stranger things world.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Why I said cool. cool you not know what cool mean all right let's just try to figure out how this room this guy has jesse isenberg's former attitude figured it out of course that's right you know everything already you're amazing it's an honor to watch you has anyone ever told you that you're a control freak yep many times bad vibes here crazy that's awesome just a been a fun set to operate on what a wild set wow wow intricate I don't know how they did this That's trippy
Starting point is 00:40:55 Wow Gummy's kicked in Yeah very symbolic if you were tripping What we're looking for? Anything weird This is all Whoa what the hell It's cool Oh my god that's crazy
Starting point is 00:41:10 You know I have always looked up to you Wild The room's getting smaller no he's getting bigger Hey I also do corporate events Oh no way I couldn't tell What now? One trick, okay? No charm, no gift of gab.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Just one trick. Dude, I did not have to prove myself to you. I mean, you kind of do. Show me why the I picked you. You know what? Show us. Prove to me that you don't need a babysitter. Oh, what, now you stop performing?
Starting point is 00:41:34 You're done showing off because your misfit friends aren't here. They're my family. I just wanted to see what you were capable of when you weren't trying to win cheap applause, but I guess the answer is nothing. Oh. Use reverse psychology on it. Bate, bait, bait. Works every time.
Starting point is 00:41:49 The problem with you at least. is that you just like to overcomplicate things, man. Easier to find a diamond than you think. And to make it disappear. Very up. Don't play checkers on a chess board because I am already five steps ahead of you. Check your pocket. Hey, those are prices antiques.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Yeah. This room is where old relics go to that final resting place. Yep. This is a great tagging shot. Pretty good, but you should try to do things a little more slow. Hello. Let your audience enjoy the real match. Okay, not that. But let's not forget what this is really about.
Starting point is 00:42:30 We are still rolling and I love it. This is all one-shot, Tara. Good, has gone. Black Art, tables rig. I saw it when I came in. I'm her penis gait. Oh, yeah. I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Where's you going? I know what he's doing. They're all really bonding. That's a trick? Check in the box. But? If I had known he was that easy to get rid of. Not that easy.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Oh, okay. Did she pickpocket him? I want you to think of one of these cards. But don't think of the one you think I want you to think of. Yeah, I got one. What was your card? Four parts. Nice one for the best.
Starting point is 00:43:16 I'm impressed. Don't think of the one that I want you to think. Hey, hey, that whisk is older than you. But I think I just want to make it a little cooler. Thank you. Awesome! That's so cool. Whoa!
Starting point is 00:43:31 What? It is pretty impressive visual effects. This is wild. Snow is rare in this part of France, but ice... That is just impossible. Ice is definitely nice. How'd you do a bad? It's so good.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Oh, magician never tells. There's obvious hidden cuts in this, but this had to take a lot of rehearsal and I love everything about it. Let's go. Wisdom and scale overcome youth and arrogance every time. Give me a break, man. You didn't prove anything. Hey, can I just remind everyone? We still haven't figured out why we're even in this World War II relic. Wait. Guys, we just bonded. Jasper Maskeland. The magician who vanquished the Nazis.
Starting point is 00:44:12 He built fake cities, fake tanks. I mean, I wonder. You saw the hidden cuts. I can't see the hit. hidden cuts oh oh i see you oh my god i was right it's a good thing he found that otherwise that would have sucked for the magic 101 man never x surprised when the trick actually works oh my goodness what is all that it's a pedia of nazi war criminals which apparently he includes veronica's dad oh so he go kill him apparently veronica took over right where he left off using his criminal network but i don't understand Yeah, she has the new dress.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Well, if I'm not mistaken. Kill them old. The eye wants us to unmask the Vanderberg. Bring down two generations of criminals. Nice. Looks like 15 years ago, Veronica's mom killed herself. And a week later, their housekeeper's brakes failed. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Oh, got. Her car crash. She and her son died. There was some suspicion of foul play, but nothing was ever proven. Maybe whoever was on that phone call? Oh, shit. Huh. Who did they say died, the mother and who else?
Starting point is 00:45:22 Listen closely. Split up. Find a way out. Uh. Uh, mother died, and then she was in a car crash with the son. The son died. So maybe the son's not dead, and it's the sun calling. Da, da Bochie, boy.
Starting point is 00:45:42 We. Use the room. Use the room. room turn it around the picture let's go let's go a fascinating way to escape hell yeah
Starting point is 00:46:01 this is insane dude yeah he used to have pieces are pretty awesome everyone's going bigger or smaller look that oh wow it's pretty awesome that's inventive so cool I would get lost so quickly Oh, too, Poole
Starting point is 00:46:20 Adios, ma'am Oh, ma'upe. Nice. Love other intercutting back and forth. This looks so complicated to direct. Totally. I'm very impressed.
Starting point is 00:46:38 There's, yeah. Jue, monsieur, bonjour. Bonjour. You know, normally I like to give a proper tour to New Guest. It's just going to vanish. This household's many secrets. Daddy is!
Starting point is 00:46:55 No, Daddyus, no! Do you like to see a magic trick? Yes. Is he going to set the place a place? How about a magic trick? Disappear. Nice. I said four!
Starting point is 00:47:11 Daddy! Oh, I think he's dead. He just fired. Oh, I thought he was going to do hypnosis. Oh, thank God. Oh, he actually got a hit. Oh, shit. The stakes are real, people.
Starting point is 00:47:32 I hate this. He's dying. It's okay, Tara. Is that real diamond? Yes. Please, stand up. We have to stop Veronica Vanderberg. I know we can't do it without you.
Starting point is 00:47:43 That is. You don't need me. You never have I knew when I This was probably My final trick Why? Because he's old as hell
Starting point is 00:47:54 Oh Geez I don't know I know that was a little quick I'm kind of on you With you on that but I'm also like I think No no it's got to be a trick
Starting point is 00:48:07 He's dead It's got to be a trick It might be a trick to get them to Really team up And be together and work together They needed the push The agent Colsoned them. I don't believe anything in these movies.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Yeah. Don't ever believe anything. We shall see. My main quam so far, as much fun as the magic scenes are, is I feel like most of this movie is dedicated so far to heightening these new people. And I'm like, I kind of just want the chemistry in the bond with the people I came here to see. With the OG horse. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Listen to me, we need to be smart. No, we got to get my friend out of jail. Bosco. Look, when you were researching all that stuff about us, you know, if they're fine, but you know. Yeah. I know you mean. They're looking for you, Bosco. They're looking for all of us. Yes, yes. You're going to get arrested too. Yes. Exactly. Yeah, Dan, you're right. How did you not put that together, buddy? I might get arrested too. Like, what? That is Marcus Bradley. In case you're interested in the name of the man you just murdered.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Ah, yes. That was unfortunate. So cold. Now, I am really looking forward to taking you down. My father would have loved you. He was quite fond of magic. And also a Nazi. He would make a red silk handkerchief disappear and then come back out of his mouth. I loved it.
Starting point is 00:49:29 I think we're going to see that later. I practiced that trick for months. Hmm. That if I could do it just right, I would earn more of... But that was the illusion. This all comes down to. Neither one of us has psychic powers, Mr. McKinney.
Starting point is 00:49:44 I've never seen a world's... so much where there's characters who hates magic you know where my heart is and i don't have to because you're going to tell me i think you're smart enough to know that i ain't telling you shit people wear their entire life story on their face may i with pleasure this is going to be fun it's real shared in excruciating detail your daddy issues, but I'm curious about your mom. Why did she commit? Oh, that's a bad word. We can't say on YouTube. Was she as desperate for your father's attention as you want?
Starting point is 00:50:30 Are you more like your mom? Inner, below the belt. Did your father give his attention to someone else? Ah, who was it? When you tuck your hair behind your ear, that's hell. I mean she's attracted to him? He was. Oh, she was about to do it again. It had to be someone close to your mom for her to a good friend,
Starting point is 00:50:55 hairdresser. Mom's sister? Yeah, that's right. Wasn't the housekeeper, was it? Oh. Oh. I don't have time for this. What people usually say when I'm getting hot,
Starting point is 00:51:07 should we crank up the AC, maybe open a window? So glad Woody Harrelson's getting the scene. I probably wouldn't. cut the brakes on my housekeeper's car oh there you go boom uh ha ha you are a sad and pathetic man
Starting point is 00:51:28 maybe that's the guy who's calling her related to that's what I said earlier Andrew I think I did I actually not sure at all fairness that was the most basic psychoanalysis you could have done on her she should have handled that better I could also see again the bodyguard being the sun
Starting point is 00:51:47 but we shall see you think the body guard's the son oh that's actually a pretty good prediction I hope you're right about that that's a good prediction oh who's that's great makeup butter is that Is that Ila Fisher?
Starting point is 00:52:01 Is that Ila? If it is it's good makeup no I think that's June it's great makeup what if it's Lizzie Kaplan oh God oh God oh God oh God That's so gross That's so gross
Starting point is 00:52:19 Oh my God I can't Is it or is it Or is it June Oh I think you're right Isn't that something she did In the second movie She just like a similar type of joke
Starting point is 00:52:30 To Eisenberg Yes I think it's her I think you're right She's back She's an illusionist too Isn't she? What?
Starting point is 00:52:41 It's over a blanche. Wait, she was to go. Nothing is ever as it seems. Never. No reveal, not yet. Show her face. Looks like her eyes. It does.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Could be. That would be a cool reveal of it, is it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's her. It's her. And he was just saying, yeah, they broke up. Yeah. Sweet.
Starting point is 00:53:09 I like her. I've never ever done it on the wine. I like her. I'm so excited for her and Eila Fisher to have a scene together. The two women. My replacement. How'd you find us?
Starting point is 00:53:22 A little bird he told me. Imagine my surprise. You guys all got back together without me. Miss me? A lot. Oh, hello there. It's me. Lula.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Tee. Lula. Remember? I too was once a horse. I told Jackie I love that self-aware This movie has become For my next trick
Starting point is 00:53:53 Nice I have to getaway car It's all ready to go I just need Jack to hot wire it What your plan is for me to steal a car Uh huh Okay I'll hot wire the car You get June, do not leave without her all right
Starting point is 00:54:04 Such a funny switch from J Freaker Okay You know, I can hotwire them. Uh, good luck. Nice. When in doubt, you punched them. At Capital One, we're more than just a credit card company. We're people just like you who believe in the power of yes.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Yes to new opportunities. Yes to second chances. Yes to a fresh start. That's why we've helped over four million Canadians get access to a credit card because at Capital One, we say yes so you don't have to hear another no. What will you do with your yes?
Starting point is 00:54:47 Get the yes you've been waiting for at Capital One.ca.ca slash yes. Terms and conditions apply. Makeout. They have great chemistry. Tara feels like she has chemistry with any guy who makes eye contact with her. True.
Starting point is 00:55:08 that's how easy people oh my god oh love this song and this editing I mean this is a pretty sweet action scene nice well we saw her doing her
Starting point is 00:55:30 spider man moves so we know she's this is like a very Jackie Chad acrobatic kind of fight scene like really utilizing the environment. Thank you. Got you back, you know. Oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Watch for fashion. Oh. Terrible bodyguard. Uh-oh. Look into my eyes, watching wonder why I whisper words that weaken your will and sleep. Not everyone susceptible. I said Sleep
Starting point is 00:56:11 Hey, it worked Oh man He's the only one I didn't get away We made the fifth horseman reappear, hello Lula Hi Hi
Starting point is 00:56:25 Hey Sorry, you two know each other Yeah, we know How many female magicians Do you think there are in the world? Apparently, Vanderberg Global has a motorsports team They're introducing a new car
Starting point is 00:56:38 this weekend in Abu Dhabi. I am not exposing anyone, okay? I don't care what the eye wants, no. I expose myself on the daily. An inappropriate situation. You just got to pay people like keep their mouth shut. She doesn't just launder money like her father.
Starting point is 00:56:51 You saw what happened to Thaddeus. Obviously, I'm playing a bit of catch-up here. I mean, the guy accidentally shot Thadius. Yeah. And I think we should expose Vanessa. Veronica. Veronica. And for money laundering.
Starting point is 00:57:08 She's catching up. An Atlas is right. We are done sacrificing ourselves. I'm sorry, it's not worth it. That's bullshit. What? You're wrong. Am I?
Starting point is 00:57:19 Sorry. He's trying to be wise. Before I discovered the horseman, I didn't give a shit about anything. My family gave me up. I hated the whole world. Because remember he's an orphan. Yeah. I don't know if you heard them say that a few times.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I did in the beginning. Okay, sorry. You were trying to make the world. less terrible. And that made me give a shit. You're heroes. You're Robin Hoods. So what's the trick? That's right. We're going to have to be absolutely flawless if we're going to pull something this risky off
Starting point is 00:57:50 with this many moving parts and this ridiculously short amount of time, okay? Yes. Yeah. But speaking for myself at least. Mm-hmm. Would you look at this? When did the great Balscolaroy go soft? Hmm. Is a 10 million to one shot.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Those are my kind of odd. So you're saying there's a chance. Come in close. Closer. Look at the text, Andrew. Ah. Not only did the movie say they're in Abu Dhabi, they also put a text that they're at Abu Dhabi.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Ladies and gentlemen, the four horsemen. That was John Wu directed that shot. Last week, we stole the heart diamond, and tonight, in two hours' time, we're going to return it to its rightful. loner, all of you. Let's go. We steal from the rich and we give to the rest of you.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Can you please just try playing it safe this one time? No, never. Okay. So he's got too much of me and him. You enjoying the show? Veronica. A little tacky for my taste. I assume you chose your venue for its proximity to my own.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Own? Her accent. Bring me my heart. We'll make an exchange. Mr. McKinney for the diamond. God day. Just do the. reveal who that guy on the phone is.
Starting point is 00:59:10 One rabbit comes out of a hat. One ace slides out of a sleeve and your friend. But what about the red thing out of your mouth? Holy shit, that's Veronica? She has a very commanding presence. Our magical friends have arrived.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Why don't you go and greet them? They're the illusion. Where are the others? You guys, calm down. I love this. Hello. Hi. Uh, David. I'm from media relations. I was just checking in. Do you think you guys could Do a different camera placement?
Starting point is 00:59:40 Bye, bye, David! Your turn. Wow. Let's do this. Wow, that was crazy. See how fast she was? She's fast. That was insane.
Starting point is 00:59:51 I'm so glad you came. What did you say? We bury the hatchets. And each other's next? Ha, ha. You? Ah, yeah. It's my jacket somewhere. There it is.
Starting point is 01:00:05 We're with checkered flags. Hey, I can actually get you a cameo in this thing. Save it. I've got my orders. Yeah, and so do we. Good evening, Miss Vanderberg. Yeah, we're trying to get that footage you at. I will say the new cast has been growing up here.
Starting point is 01:00:20 I'm enjoying him. He's bitching about it the entire time, and now he's coming true. I mean, just wanted a balance. He's coming true. He said he never involves Tom and sat unseen. Oh, she's impersonating now, June. So you can either let them do that job. Sorry for the hold on, man.
Starting point is 01:00:39 His impersonating wazer. You could just back up for me really quick, just for the light. Thanks, man. Well, shall we get on with it? Please. Is there a problem? Double check if you're not sick. It's the heart.
Starting point is 01:00:56 Yes, of course it is. Now, please, can you get our friend? She's going to double cross them. Hey. Ooh. You okay? Well, now that I know I'm worth half a baby. I still think we get ripped off, but it's good to see.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Stick around if you want. Enjoy the party. God, what's the reveal happening? Nice. So many zoom, zoom, zo! Oh my god. You don't want to shoot the car. Woo! You join the show? You're just going to stand there,
Starting point is 01:01:36 walking or get my car back you did this you found maybe oh i see oh it wasn't there so you found maybe national treasures but we have those here too only they're hard to find because they're buried insane oh
Starting point is 01:02:03 To go, it will appear that you died in a failed escape act. Now, let's see some magic. Ila Fisher would know how to get out of this. So that's the box itself. It's your flaws. There are a back door. Everybody just needs to check. This would be so terrifying.
Starting point is 01:02:22 Is there a way she could, like, scratch that with her, like, ring on the diamond and be like... Tara's good with escapes. Straight to the vault. Oh! Oh! I wanted to die, and then I get my reason to live back, and now we're actually gonna die. How is that funny? It's just ironic.
Starting point is 01:02:46 God, I never should have been that horrible about your website and your costumes. Okay. It's not embarrassing that the I in Wilder is a little magic more. That's enough. I missed you. Aw. There it is. Aw.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Okay, wet sand is heavier than dry. It broke the glass. Oh. You gotta pee on that pipe, then it would wet the sand and then... Thank God that pipe's there. Yeah, I think that's a smarter idea than peeing on it. I might be able to get some leverage. Yes. There, give me your belt.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Oh, cool. Cool. Okay, buddy. This pipe is the MVP of the movie. Okay. Now we'll drown in the sand. Ila Fisher's like, this seems familiar. over but i'm finally getting the hang in it i mean the bars are big enough where you can put your
Starting point is 01:03:38 head through and get oxygen for a long time you know what he's doing now he's impersonating a race car driver thank you gentlemen excellent work we've had a red notice for one bosco leroy thank you no problem he wanted to get caught The ring! She has a ring! Oh, my God! I was right! I told... I said Tara's good with escapes. This is why you buy your woman a ring.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Case of a situation like this. That's a pretty cool shot. What's he doing here? Miss Vanderbugs diamond that you and your friends don't. Oh, oh. Oh, okay, cool. Oh, that's cool. Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Wow, dude. Nice job, Bosco. Oh. That was badass, actually. Wow, wow. Nice. The two flaws in Veronica's plan, a diamond ring and the pipe. Didn't do magic.
Starting point is 01:05:19 They did physics. Identity verified. Is that guy alive? We didn't see that guy's face. Yeah, we didn't. That was Mark Ruffalo. Yes, it was. And Michael Cain and Harry Potter.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. What? On the evidence. Wow. Wow. He's the son.
Starting point is 01:05:45 Hey, he was hinting at all film. I'm an orphan. Now you see me. Ah. The things people do to make something. Oh, is it going to come out of her mouth? His mouth. How would we get that coming out of her mouth would be really impressive, though.
Starting point is 01:06:10 I told you that trick. Just like our father taught you. Now, after 15 years, you're trying to ruin me? No, all 15 years. But you must have been relieved to here I was. I love the fact that he is, that's a good twist. That's good, it does make sense. freed me with her dying breath.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Hmm. I had nothing but fondness for you, Charlie. Let me finally treat you like a brother. I am your brother. Father's blood is in both of us, though he'd never acknowledge man. Yeah. And the shame drove my mother to her grave.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Then you sent man to hers. Damn, these two are really acting their asses off. It's pretty good. Here. No. Take it. Really? There's no way. No, she has the new one. Here, choy, bishapata, pasha. Oh, savage. Oh my goodness. What, what is...
Starting point is 01:07:17 Where'd she? She... Yes. So let's catch. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, what? What? What? What? Look at all that. All an illusion.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Who was the driver and who was the person outside? First, let's say hello to the first He always like being behind the scenes. The extraordinary June Ru Claire. Woo. Brother. Oh, I got goose.
Starting point is 01:07:57 I got goosebumps right now. Bosco Loroy! The pleasure is ours. Hello, gorgeous. Uh-huh. Of course, we could not have done any of this in the first place without the help of the world's greatest magicians. Five, horsemen. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Woo-woo! Oh, geez. Every magician needs an assistant, Veronica. You may think Veronica here, as Peter Vanderberg's sole heir, is the rightful owner. Not the soul. Peter didn't have one child. He had two. That's right.
Starting point is 01:08:37 And that other child cheated death. And landed in New York City. Oh, he created the cards. Oh. He would need help. Oh, my goodness. He brought them back. together.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Enticed. The great J-W-W-L. And Lord, some of the most brilliant minds he could assemble. Love it. That's how he knew
Starting point is 01:09:07 for a trick unlike any other. That's how he knew to get in there too. Our best friend. A ghost. Until this very moment. Charlie Sanderberg.
Starting point is 01:09:20 A new multi-millionaire. Hold on, everyone. And you never will be. I don't understand how you pulled this off. You don't understand. Veronica doesn't seem to understand. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Finest magic. Cray's on assumptions. Yes. Yes. Waiting for you was the same one that dropped you off. Oh. Hey. Act of Mother Nature is nothing but.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Didn't you say when he handed into the gun, too? We didn't see the gun. Oh. Cool. Awesome. And that a vault in the desert isn't just smoke and mirrors. He's going to say it did look like a stage. But a gun isn't filled with blanks.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Yeah, we didn't see. Yeah, you called that up. And for our last trick, why do we make Veronica disappear? Shoot her in the head. This diamond belongs to the Vanderbirds at all. As my father's only unincarcerated next of kin, I'll make sure every one, Every one of our illicit buyers faces legal repercussion. Damn.
Starting point is 01:10:29 That's bold. Including the heart to the South African communities they came from. With a few extra dollars left for all of you. A multi-millionaire Robin Hood. Nice trip. Learn from the best. How'd you know they would break out of that jail? I was thinking that too.
Starting point is 01:10:49 He had faith. They're the greatest magicians in the world. He knew. Ladies and gentlemen. We are the horsemen. Tonight! It's physics, Greg. He knew the pipe was there.
Starting point is 01:11:00 He knew she had the diamond ring on. Pomegranate or boys in there? Dude, I said I wanted to drink kids today. Of course. That's pretty good. It's not gonna mess with my liver, though. You know, I still cannot believe you're a Vanderberg. Neither could she.
Starting point is 01:11:17 I was thinking, I feel like we should start our own group. What's his real voice? A girl's magic group? Yes. Girls magic group. Is he putting on a South African accent when he was talking to Rosamund Pike? Or is his actual voice of South African accent? Everybody, come on over here, please.
Starting point is 01:11:32 Hey, can you grab some more of those delicious things, Pascow? You are going to love this stuff. It is slap. No, Merritt, please. It slaps. It is slap. Trying to adapt a new language. Damn, and I love you guys.
Starting point is 01:11:48 We love you, too. We love you. We love you. I like you too. But we love you. Oh, shit. We all love each other. Go back to that.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Dylan. No one's supposed to know where we are. It's Dylan or Harry Potter. It's Morgan Freeman's body delivered by Mark Ruffalo. Open it. You open it. Got a mission for you guys. Do you, uh, you mind if I take another crack at it?
Starting point is 01:12:29 Yeah, yeah, go for it. Yeah? He gets his hand cut off. So I... Did you miss me? Ha ha. We did. But I didn't lie to you.
Starting point is 01:12:45 I just led you to believe something that wasn't true. Now for you three impostors, brazenly pretending like... like you're part of our top secret organization. You're going to get away with it with no consequences or repercussions. Oh, you saw it right. Welcome to the eye. Hey. You thought your work was done.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Think again, team. We got another movie to do. It's getting started. Heck yeah. What's the trick? Love it. Mark Ruffalo was, you know, too busy. No, it was some elaborate scheme to get them back together.
Starting point is 01:13:21 He felt them breaking away. Wow Oh, Seth Graham Smith worked on it The Riders of Zombie Land worked on this I didn't know Boiseachan worked on it That's the director of Remember the Titans Robert Orsey worked on this
Starting point is 01:13:39 Oh my God, he's a G's a G He's a real G He's making sure there's no post-credit C All right guys Well, we just watch Now You See Me Now you don't Prepper I hope you edited this well
Starting point is 01:13:52 Otherwise, Tara's going to call you out. Uh-huh. And make you look like a dummy on the Internet. And no one ever forgets what happens on the Internet. They think about it for days on end. Uh-huh. Anyway, hey, this was a good time. I had fun.
Starting point is 01:14:10 I have positives. I have negatives. Uh-oh. I have in-betweens. I have it all. But I don't want to go first. I want to go with Tara. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:14:22 Tara, what do you think, oh, you just, okay, just stay out of it. Not bad. Listen, my most favorite things about these films is that they do, shut up. Okay, sorry. Is this you do a lot of wanners. And, yes, some of them have hidden cuts, but specifically the one right in the middle where they just kept rolling and rolling. And there's special effects included where, like, she changes a dress. There's confetti.
Starting point is 01:14:45 It's wild. I don't even know how you would direct such a thing. I mean, obviously, a little bit, maybe I know, but my assumption is that took a good three to four days just to shoot that. I love the writing in these. I just think it's super smart. And I like the chemistry with everybody.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Yes, Greg was, where's the OG? Like, I want to see the OG people. She's like Bosco, she's impersonating him. She's the corner of the whole time. He would have shut up about it. And then the new. ones they grew they grew on us on all of us um and i think what they do best is obviously they do great casting and i i had a lot of fun with this story because the vengeance specifically
Starting point is 01:15:32 from charlie to the vander i wanted to say vander pump vanderberg vander wait no i wrote it vanderberg to the vanderbergs is awesome because they gave us that preface of that they're freaking nazis right so you're like kill them all loved it Got a love a Nazi. Anyway, Andrew, what's your take on Nazis? Tell us. They're very nice people. That's what I mean, misunderstood.
Starting point is 01:15:59 Very misunderstood. Yeah, we've been wrong about them this whole time. I enjoyed this film. It was very entertaining. I had a great time. I was on Greg's side slightly early on with, I definitely want to see more of the OG, but I understood why they were showing the new crew,
Starting point is 01:16:16 the new trio. And I actually liked the way they were interacting, especially with Jesse Eisenberg, seeing the clash between the newer magic versus the older magic. And it was fascinating to see Jesse Eisenberg being now the wise and the sage versus where he used to be. And I thought that was an interesting full circle moment for him too, seeing where he had gone from the first film on to here in the third film. But also when you see the implications on where the twist ended up going, it made a lot of sense. also to get us invested with this new trio as well. It made sense to give them the screen time that they got in the first 20 or 30 minutes or so.
Starting point is 01:16:58 So I understand a lot more, having seen the film now, but yeah, I'm glad we got Ila Fisher back. She was very much missed in the second film as much as I like having Lula in the film as well. And it was nice to have three female characters instead of one, we got two, we got three, now. And I do agree with Tara. I really love the chemistry between all these actors. All their interactions are so much fun. And yeah, I was slightly
Starting point is 01:17:26 starting to think, too, with, like, Bosco's characters, like, wow, that was quite a quick arc that he had where he's, like, finally changing now. I'm like, but then when you found out it's really this elaborate twists and plot between the three of them and this was their plan all along, like, okay,
Starting point is 01:17:43 this makes a lot more sense, and I'm a little more lenient now on that. And, and And that's what the film hinges on is that twist. So I was also, too, these films are not very introspective and deep in that sense. They're more of just, there are heist films that are allusioned as, you know, with magic and all this. And they're just meant to be fun and entertaining. So I was a little more forgiving when it came to that, when it came to arcs and stuff like that. But overall, I had a great time.
Starting point is 01:18:09 It was a lot of fun. I'm just here for the magic and the fun of it. And also the action, the choreography, I thought was very. creative and inventive. They did some really fun stuff, especially when we saw earlier on with June's character. We saw her Spider-Manning or Spider-Gwenning it up the wall. And I love when they plant little seeds like that. And then when we actually see her in an action sequence,
Starting point is 01:18:29 yeah, we got two, 300-pound dudes. You're like, how she's supposed to really fight guys like that? No, they actually set that up in the scene for her to move around acrobatically like them. I actually do buy that because they set it up in a way for her to move, you know, in a way like that. So I like when they take their time. And also, you could tell Ruben Fleischer,
Starting point is 01:18:47 it was nice to have a different director. This almost feels before Christopher Macquarie took over. I'm not comparing. I'm just saying I like that they change up directors. Give a different visual and stylistic approach to each filmmaker doing their own thing in the first movie. You had Louis Lettier, who did The Incredible Hulk and several other films. And then you had John Chu,
Starting point is 01:19:05 just we now know, has been doing the Wicked films lately. And then you got Ruben Fleischer, who I'm such a big fan of with the last two zombie land films. Love those. They're so much fun, but you can tell he's having a blast, and it's nice to see him reuniting with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. You can tell he's very comfortable working with the actors on set.
Starting point is 01:19:27 And, yeah, a lot of fun. What about you, Greg? How are you feeling? What are your strengths of the film? What are the weaknesses? Give us the juice. What did you write down, Tara? I wrote down names.
Starting point is 01:19:38 You want me to read them? Sure. Okay, there's Merritt, Atlas. J. Y. Lula, we knew all these. Banderberg, Mark, you didn't know that that was the name of the photographer who came and he went. Okay, Bosco, June, Charlie, Veronica, she makes all the worst people in the world possible, okay? And all the good ones have a trust in the tale.
Starting point is 01:20:03 That first scene with Veronica really let me know she was bad. Yeah, man. They set it up really nicely in that scene. Yeah, she was bad. The positives, the positives. Well, I'll tell you what the positives are. This is not my notes. The positives are...
Starting point is 01:20:22 He doesn't know. Very fun. The action scenes are... The silly magic that is really implausible. And when they can't explain it, they choose not to because they can't. It's impossible. You just can't do it.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Those are my favorite. Like the crazy one-er shot that Tara was talking about with the track. and they're all playing the game of Hot Potato with the magic and seeing their different skill sets and trying to one up each other the whole time. They're playing tit for tat and also helping each other out. It's a fun game of improv.
Starting point is 01:20:58 And that scene is my favorite kind of stuff from now you see me where you're like they're not going to try to tell us at all how they're doing this. But I'm supposed to buy that this is some type of illusion since I have a magic trick and not a bunch of CGI that you're doing. That's the best stuff. That's the most fun stuff.
Starting point is 01:21:14 And Ruben Fletcher, I would agree, does know how to provide that, that razzle-dazzle-sizzle to this whole experience. Because if you can't find the authentic joy, the authentic fun that comes out of chase sequences, crazy set pieces, elaborate magic sequences, and also fun deception, that is the biggest fault that will happen. You put story, characters, whatever. that all is kind of like secondary to the end that's supposed to be something that uplifts all those things that we're talking about that's a big part of what makes this really fun but we were pretty I mean other than the fact that we it wasn't just as we none of us guess it was Justice Smith no but we're all like it's got to be the sun right like I mean one of us said it right was it mean I think you I think you said it like 10 minutes later and you're like Andrew I already said that right yeah yeah that's right yeah yeah yeah Yeah, it seemed like that was the most obvious thing. And then them breaking out and a good call, a good catch on the diamond ringy thingy, I'm telling you, she's the best if you ever get into escape situation.
Starting point is 01:22:22 She always gets that shit. Oh, Tara's been kidnapped. Seriously, what has happened to you in the past? Tara's had to learn from failure. Yeah, I really have. She's managed to just cook up a lot of different shenanigans in order to get, actually, the McGiver around here. Piled up a lot of failures, successes.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Yeah, no. Where are they? They just can't see them. That's the greatest magic red trick. hide the successes. Yes, I still do kind of feel, though, that they slighted our main cast a little bit by the end because they don't give them the reward
Starting point is 01:22:55 as a fan of this franchise, they don't get the reward of being able to do some type of great magic thing. And actually, like in the very end of it, they break out without magic at all. Like, it is just them go and break, you know, I guess there's some type of reward payoff to when you think about like Mark Ruffalo's father
Starting point is 01:23:14 of how he died and then the thing with the sand and putting all that together yes that's somewhat rewarding and their chemistry is still so good and as people who waited like maybe not for for these two but you know I saw now
Starting point is 01:23:30 you see me one and now you see me two around the time they came out so I have waited a very long time for now you see me three to come out so as someone who waited a long time for the sequel I still feel like even if I had a way to that long, I might have a similar type
Starting point is 01:23:45 of opposition that I wish they did weave in, like give the magic people, the new people, let them do exactly what they did, but also give our horsemen, the main people we show up for, an opportunity to do some magic shit
Starting point is 01:24:02 too. That is a cool reward and pull back the veil and whatever. Let them be involved in some way instead of them just being a prop for the new people. You know, instead of them just being some ploy for the new people and I was actually more intrigued at the thought of Mark Ruffalo telling them there's going to be
Starting point is 01:24:18 consequences for what you did. Yeah, me too. I was like, oh boy, cut. That good setup. Right? That would have been exciting. It ups the stakes. Yeah. Instead they're like, no, man, you can bullshit your way. You're all good. Welcome to the eye. Yeah. Or you could have even had it end. Not saying it had to, but you could
Starting point is 01:24:33 add it end on it. We're going to go on a rescue mission for Dylan too to prepare for the next one. Yeah, because they're clearly setting up a part four that we'll get in like 15 to 20 years from now or something. Whatever. I hope it comes sooner than later. I heard some rumor that it would be coming sooner.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Because, yeah, it took me a while to get on board with the new cast, mainly because they're new people. I didn't come here to see them. I had no idea that there would be some type of passing a baton. And from the beginning, I thought they were already fine, but they weren't the magnetism that you get from the main core. So for me, I was going, why is there so much focus on people who are good? But they're not the magnetic side that I, as a fan of this, really wanted.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Eventually, though, when the balance of screen time started to happen at the last half, then I started really getting more on board for them, even when they were cutting back and forth. And ultimately, the reveal with Justice Smith is great. And the big magic reveal that it was all their machination is pretty cool. And it justifies the amount of screen time that they had that kind of overtook everyone else's. you know like i do feel like they had more screen time i think jessie eisenberg probably had the most screen time out of the main four uh or the main horseman but then the the other the new cast i think got the more screen time than then and uh yeah like lizzie kaplan returning though a lot too i thought
Starting point is 01:25:57 yeah like even though the big deal was ila fisher's back i think lizzie kaplan kind of stole the show when she showed up yeah she's great yeah she's fun do you got do you have a favorite character out of this Andrew. Do I have a favorite character? I got to go with Bosco just because I love impersonating and seeing, I think impersonating is the finest form of flattery.
Starting point is 01:26:19 Although a lot of people would say that you are mocking when you do it. I think if your heart is in the right place and people understand that. So I would go with Bosco. And I thought he really nailed the Jesse Eisenberg one, especially in the beginning when they were pretending to have all the four horsemen
Starting point is 01:26:34 on stage. So I would say that. What about you, Tara, Who's your favorite character? Veronica's dad. Definitely. Definitely. That guy was ruthless. No, I think I really liked to parkour with June in the beginning. I really, really enjoyed her.
Starting point is 01:26:50 I like, and her action scene was, like, cut so well. That's mainly cinematography, but the writing of her character and being, like, an action-slash-magician, and also very casual, throw stuff away a lot. I like that vibe. Man, they're all fun picks right here. What about you? I mean, I wouldn't put any of the new characters
Starting point is 01:27:13 in my favorite. Like, they're enjoyable. Yeah. I was a little confused on Justice Smith, though, for a second,
Starting point is 01:27:19 because when he's confronting Veronica, I don't know, I don't think this is a nitpick, or is this something that people do? With his accent? Yeah, when he's confronting Veronica, he has a South African accent.
Starting point is 01:27:27 I was like, oh, cool. He's actually, like, feigning an American accent. Right. Or is it? It was just so she could recognize right away that this is her
Starting point is 01:27:36 brother. So he wasn't seen her in a long time? So your takeaway as he was putting on a South African accent? I mean he probably right I mean I don't remember the eight I mean he's probably what like eight or nine or ten when that happened so he hasn't had that accent in a very long time right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:52 So this is the accent that she remembers him with and he's like going to give her some familiarity. Okay. It's a weird it's a weird move so I see where you're ahead. Is that great? Because you're like well the rest of the time he speaks an American the rest of the time after
Starting point is 01:28:10 he does a South African and private with them, I'm like, wait a bit I don't understand. It's a little confusing. A little bit, yeah. Hey man, Christian Bill. It takes the movie down like 10 points for me. Honestly, you know. So many points. It's good to say Christian Bill was speaking in the Batman voice after Catwoman disappeared too.
Starting point is 01:28:26 Yeah, I know. I had the same thing. Same problem. Very confusing times. Although I did find the contrast between his character and Veronica to be very slightly interesting in regards to that she had this whole thing happen where she decided to be greedy and live
Starting point is 01:28:44 in isolation and he had this terrible tragedy happened to him where he was literally in the car and then he found a family and then wanted to get retribution and vindication for it and now he's going to use this money for good, everything that she should have done. So I actually found the
Starting point is 01:29:00 contrast between the siblings to be actually rather fascinating. All right, cool. What do you think of Rosamine Pike? she was great i mean here's the thing when there's so many movies they cast people and then they they have an accent and they fricking suck yeah and you're like they're in and out and in and out and i don't know how the producers or the directors or the scripty or any people in video village went yep we'll go with that one uh rosamund pike didn't miss me with the accent which i love she's a great actress as we know but mainly the accent 10 out of 10 i thought it was going to bother me
Starting point is 01:29:35 at first in the first few lines and was like all right i'm over it i'm actually enjoying it i do want to ask you though did you like her accent more in this film or her american accent more in jack reacher i would say i mean this one i was aware she was putting on an accent right uh and it was like a really good job but i at the same time like i never full because i'm aware of who rosamond pike yeah yeah jack reich i know she's not american when i saw jack reich i didn't know she was uh not American. I didn't know that. I had, I already knew that, but I fell for that in there. But no, I mean, for here, South African's hard. I kept trying to do it. I just sounded like terrible German is what I kept coming out of my mouth. But so, yeah, I liked to, I like that. I thought
Starting point is 01:30:20 like her as a villain was, it was surprisingly effective. And I like how she actually had a wit about her. She was the only one who managed to catch the horseman. Yeah. But she failed for the pipes. Failed for the pipes. I want to see what the Rotten Tomatoes audience score is. I'm going to guess 58% And I'm going to go like On the audience? Oh no no no not audience
Starting point is 01:30:42 I'm going to guess critics 58 and audience I'm going to go 87. 87 and 87 is my guess 57 and 87 is my guess. Hold on a second Let's write this down you sons of bitches All right Andrew's saying what
Starting point is 01:30:53 57 and 87 Okay Tara who are you I will say audience 802 critics 63 Okay Okay, okay, that's pretty high for critics. All right.
Starting point is 01:31:07 Greg is going to say 45 for critics. I'm going to say, you know, I'm going to go pretty low on it. I'm going to say 75 for audience. Okay. You might be right. Because I've got to imagine some people feel the way I do about that. Well, now we've got to see. Type it.
Starting point is 01:31:32 Greg did some illusion to make it. do exactly what he wanted it we're not really seeing the truth oh shit you guys are hired who is the carra's the closest is the closest like literally terror's one percent terrah's got the fucking closest on both yeah very 363 percent on critics for terrah look at her go and the movie 61 percent audience 81 percent and uh she was 82 nice job terra nice you did good you were good andrew and i were both off by six percent on the audience we're terrible we're terrible we don't know what we're talking about iron but what did now you see me to get on not that high i don't think on the uh so that was
Starting point is 01:32:15 2016 90 yeah that is okay but there's 50 000 people rating the audience yeah you're you're right and right now there's not what was the rating on this one how many ratings were there not a thousand plus yeah that's not a fair comparison no and then what was the first one now you see me yeah and these movies are like hated in the beginning Like 100,000, 70% is pretty good on audience. I look more at the audience when it comes to the Now You See Me Movies. But, yeah. Damn, this is the highest critically rated one out of them all, actually.
Starting point is 01:32:45 That shows people have grown on it. I guess we'll see, though, as time goes by, right? Yeah. Because there's only a thousand, and it could be. But, hey, it was a fun time, and that's what counts. Guys, what did you think about? Now you see me. Now you don't out of the three.
