Really good. I like how deliberately slow-paced these episodes were because we're building up to the climactic last two episodes here. So I think it's really smart to do that. And I like slow burns when there's interesting stuff going on. And there's so much happening. But I think they do just such a great job of making sure that everything is organically being done at the same point. Like you can feel the weight and the, not only the emotions in the weight, but also the stakes of everything.

And you really feel it in every single scene because my heart is literally beating so fast in every single scene. So great two episodes. I'm so fascinated and curious as I always am and what's going to happen every single scene. So, yeah, great two episodes. I'm really also, I mean, There's so many different things I can delve into, but I think the biggest thing was like just being honest with each other was a very big theme here, honesty, and just breaking through those barriers of, you know, the trauma and pain that we were going through this season with each other. You know, you saw that with Nancy and Jonathan. You saw that with Steve and with Dustin, even with so far with L and with Hopper.

I mean, there's a lot going on. And so it's like that drama, that's the stuff that really draws me to this show and resonates with me and that I appreciate so much. Yeah, like the stakes in Vecna and all the monsters and everything in the background is so great, too. But that's the stuff that really like just gravitates and resonates with me. So I think they just always do such a great job with that stuff. And this is no exception to how amazing it was as well. But what did you think of the two episodes?

So always my biggest complaint, with any show is always if it lacks heart. And these two episodes gave us a lot of heart, especially starting with Robin and Will on the roof where they have a discussion and Will's like, but wait, who did you tell? And she's saying the second I told Steve, it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.

I really felt that. And then it really built where I was like crying over Jonathan and Nancy. Like what a beautiful scene that was. And then also the same thing with Dustin and Steve. Like those are three really big, emotional moments that I think just bring a lot of heart to this show and then throw us right back into the wild with all the action and the adventure. And I think that's why people love this show.

They have a, they have a really good, they do a really good job of balancing the action and the sci-fi, the really cool practical effects mixed with CGI and action, but then they know when to throw in and slow it down to bring it back to like humanity, those slower moments. And we saw that at the end as well with Holly and Max, same thing. A lot of heart there, right? She's telling Holly why she actually is Holly the heroic. And it makes sense. And it's like, all of those scenes are very moving and I think they mean a lot. And they're not just thrown in there to be like, well, we got to make it seem like nice and heartfelt. It's like, no, it's all very believable, which is why I give this show a lot of credit for really great writing. All right, we're going to go

to our first question. J. Dell, episode five had some intense moments between Holly and Max nearly escaping by Will briefly taking control of Vecna's mind. And Nancy, shooting at what she perceives to be the wall barrier in the sky, things are clearly escalating. Which moment in this episode made you feel like the stakes had officially shifted? And what do you think is foreshadowing for the finale? Yeah, you could say that moment. I mean, it's always with Vecna, too. like when Will was able to invade his mind and then the sub I didn't think you were going to take down Vecta in that moment's episode five maybe if we were in episode eight that would have been and we had the whole group of core working together there but that was definitely a shift there where he was able to like literally throw Will out of his mind there and then kind of rebuild his leg in that moment that definitely but that whole thing too with just the entire like wall barrier just coming down that really was like wow that threw my mind for a loop for sure and that was not where I was expecting just the entire episode we were talking about a shield barrier like in return

of the Jedi so I really felt that's where we were going that made sense so that really subverted my expectation so I would say that's probably where with the wall barrier what about you yeah so I think once the wormhole came into play everything's melting I think really what extra shifted it and I think exactly they knew exactly what they were doing is this scene between Nancy and Jonathan. They're setting you up to where it's like building, building. You're like, of course he's going to give her the ring. They think they're going to die or we think they're going to die. I think that's when it really switched because at the same time, the ladder fell through the stairs and we're not quite sure how Dustin and Steve are actually

going to get to them. So I think with all of that, how is the world going to basically come back together? That's when it really up the stakes for me. I think the foreshadowing for the finale, I'm not quite sure. I do hope that we play with the energy of the wormhole back on Vecna and somehow suck the upside down and his crap back into his wormhole and we're like, peace out, dude.

The next part of J. Dale's question says, episode six gave us one of the most emotional beats of volume two. Dustin telling Steve, you didn't want to lose him too. That moment hit really hard. What do you think of how their relationship was handled here? Do you think it setting us up for something heartbreaking

in the finale? I think it was handled so perfectly and so beautifully there. I mean, we know how hardened Dustin is in this season. It's the most we've ever seen him just dealing with grief and with loss of everything that happened with Eddie at the end of season five there, or season four, excuse me. And we know that Steve has tried to be there somewhat for Dustin, but not in a way that Dustin has felt that he's reciprocating his feelings. So to see in that moment, too, that he can't lose anyone else, anyone that's close to him.

So I thought that was handled just so delicately, so so beautifully, so in a tragically emotional way, but also in a beautifully sympathetic way as well. And I thought it was just like to see the acting by both those two was just perfectly done. You can feel the history in those two and just that how much they care for each other. Even though they had been bickering all season long, you just really feel the tenderness and the care that they feel with one another, especially with Dustin in that moment that. uh he's not going to lose anyone else so it was just so perfectly done in my opinion yeah i think like when you're that age right and you're you're combating like with a friend i think that would take a life and death moment when you are at that um for them to like for the person to crack and say like i absolutely cannot lose you so it's like everything that they had been fighting about is

forgotten in that moment because you still want that person there even though he haven't solved all your shit yet. And I think the way that they handled that relationship there in that moment was the best way to handle it. Because I don't think that Dustin or Steve would have come clean with them looking for, they're like, there's a barrier. And he's like, I was wrong about it. It's a freaking wormhole. They're running around. There's never going to be a moment where either of them, at the age that they are, are going to say, hey, stop.

We should talk this out. So there had to be a life and death moment where. where he puts the ladder and Dustin, he loses it. And it's a beautiful moment. And I think it made a lot of sense. And that's why I always say, great writing in the show. Next question. Jayden Rhodes.

Thank you, Jaden for being a real reject asking a question. How do you all like the moments with Dustin and Steve? The fight between them broke my heart in the moment. Dustin grabbed Steve tells him you can't let him die and they will hug. Probably the biggest cry moment in the series for me. You can take it. Yeah. Yeah, no, I agree.

That was one of the most heartfelt moments for sure. in the entire series. And as we just pointed out, it was just really well done. It was very well executed. I think Terry just said it best, that it really did take a life-threatening situation because they had also,

not only had they been bickering all season long, but they had literally just had a physical fight in that moment because we know how hardened that Dustin has been this entire season with Eddie and Steve had just basically ostracized Eddie in that moment. and that's what people in the entire town have been doing and Eddie honestly Eddie's a hero at this point right for what he did his heroic actions his sacrifice right and so I think you know to Tara's point that she is correct that they're both at a certain age where they're not going to have the perspective of taking a reflective moment to just say hey let's take a moment to talk this out so I think that was the proper way to do it where he needed to grabbed him in a life and threatening situation.

So I thought it was just so perfectly executed. And I'm so glad that they did. And I really felt that. It was a nice moment. You know, when, when Dustin, when Steve grabs him and he's sort of like, he kind of says like, it's okay. We finally get back and we see that like big brother, little brother, like mentor-esque thing that we've always loved between them

the second they became buddies. And it's, and I get why that was a heart-wrenching moment. for you. I feel like I cried all my tears out for the Nancy and Jonathan one. I don't know why y'all aren't saying that, but that one got me. I was like, I do a lot of like silent crying where it just drips down because we can't have it be turning to scream crying, not on the camera, not today. Okay, let's go to the next question. Oh, do you think Steve was wrong in blaming Eddie for his own death? Yeah, I mean, we know what kind of a hero that Eddie was. So I don't think that was correct of Steve to do. I think he was also just frustrated.

in the moment just frustrated at the way Dustin has been all season and they're also in a very tender and crazy situation so I think he's just at a point where he's just lashing out and deflecting so I definitely think it was wrong but having perspective I

understand why not justifying what he's saying but I understand why he was saying what he was saying and I'm glad that they at least had a vindication for that moment which came in the moment where they embraced each other and you know all was type of forgiven and, you know, the brotherly love is back type of situation. So it was definitely

wrong, of course. Right. Um, yeah, obviously. But it, again, it's great writing because Steve at the age, he is, he has been jealous of Eddie and the relationship with Dustin even prior. Yes. So now when he gets a, when he gets a chance and Dustin is like, you know, I lost like one of the best guys and he'll be better than you and like, you know, all this stuff. He's, he's really, you know, punching Steve's buttons. of course that's that's obviously going to get to him and he's going to lash out and say that like you know eddie wasn't a hero after all he knew he was going to die he decided to throw himself out there so he brought it upon himself um and that's just obviously i think there's going to be a

moment where steve is going to go listen you know i was wrong about that but it just very clearly shows his like teenage way of thinking that he's not really going to like process all that he's just going to kind of word vomit when he's pissed off, especially towards Dustin in that relationship. So, yeah, I definitely think he was wrong. Go ahead. All right, Selvin Moreno. Thank you so much for being a royal reject.

Asking a question, we appreciate you. When I first watched this episode, the Nancy and Jonathan scene felt very clear to me that it was a breakup scene. Then I went online and people were divided about it, whether it was or was not. What do you guys think? Tara, take this one away.

Um, I do think that it was in that, in that moment. Um, the reason I think people are divided is because they lived. And also because he said, I loved you. And then he says, I love you. Right. And I, I think that only time will tell. But here's why I think the audience is divided. She very clearly spoke about Steve saying, listen, he's a good friend. He's got better hair than you. He's a good dude. but it was never like that with him it was always like a different way with jonathan but then we're also throwing in that she hates it when like he gets high he hates it when she gets drunk there's certain things that every couple's probably gonna hide from their other significant partner because they're like i don't want to hurt your freaking feelings i'll just let you listen to this music and i will space out right that's kind of what they were discussing so i'm with you selvin but I'm also, I think the reason that the audience is saying that they're a bit divided about whether it was or wasn't is because there's so much love there.

And she very did clearly state she wasn't there for Steve, right? It's always been mostly about Jonathan. But I think right now, what I'm hoping is that they go about their own lives in their own ways separately. Right. And then I think with their connection, they would find their way back to each other after some time. I was literally going to say the same thing. Yes, I think in the moment to say we love each other, we're always going to love each other.

But maybe right now we just need a little bit of space to find ourselves. And then at some point in time, when we're ready, reconvene and get back into this relationship, that's how I was interpreting what they were saying. Yeah. But also, too, he made a strong point of saying like this was like a, a really strong point, a weight that was in my pocket the last couple of days. And he thought this was going to be the thing to fix it. And I think he understood and realized, too, in this life and death situation,

that this was not going to fix it, just proposing to or does not solve your relationship issues. So I'm glad that they did have a heart to heart and had this interaction. I think it was, like, really ramped up the stakes. But it was just a, it was a very heartfelt, beautiful interaction as well. but once again this was my interpretation was that we love each we love each other we're always going to love each other we're always going to have this connection with one another but right now we just need a little time to process and heal from the the things that have divided us in this relationship and then when we are ready we'll get back together yeah it's also really hard

at that age you know to have like a serious like long term they're in different places there's not going on, a relationship. And I do think they need that time to go about their lives and grow and experience things prior to, like, getting married. So I like that. He said, how do you like that? I'm proposed to you. So before we get out of here, I just want to

call it that I loved Karen. I loved her comeback in here. She comes in. She uses the freaking oxygen. Good girl. I thought my brain went, because I'm always looking for a weapon or something. So I went to the oxygen, but

I thought, like how I said, I thought she was going to, like, open them all up and then find a, and just like the whole place and sacrifice herself. I'm so glad that didn't happen. And she just put it in a dryer. So good on you. Yeah. Karen, because I guess I would have died. I guess if I was her, I would have died. And the fact that she was also, like, doing it in a place where she is so low energy because of the damage she has taken from a demigorgian.

Right. She probably doesn't even know what's going on. She got hit by this monster. and she's just lying in a hospital bed all drugged up and she still has the... She made it down there. Yeah. The wherewithal to go down there, but I'm saying she...

That's impressive. And the resourcefulness to do it too. Like, very impressive on Karen. Totally. So that was awesome to see. And then we know that L. and Hopper, they're in pursuit into the hospital right now. So anxious to see what happens when they get there as well,

even though we know that Karen saved the day for right now. So there's a lot going on, but yeah, great two episodes. I know Mr. they have Mr. Clark right also building what did they the telemetry or something like that so so much to look forward to and also so much to worry about at the same point I'm just so afraid and so excited at the same point so the show always has a habit of doing that but incredible two episodes I can't wait to see how it all ends but also it's very bittersweet too Tara and you guys because I love this show so much I'm glad that at least I can always revisit it whenever but I'm sad that this is going to be be the end these last two episodes but also excited so we'll see what happens it's gonna be sad just like post gig depression i have post show depression when i really like the show it's a legit real thing like you shoot for a long time with people and then you don't have to go to that job anymore oh my god it's so depressing yeah same thing you watch a show long time we started with season one this year
