Starting point is 00:00:00 It started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home, a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage. By the time it was over, she was dead, and he claimed LSD made him do it. His name, David Minor the 4th, and we talked to him. Listen to Invisible Choir every other week as we uncover the most haunting true crimes you've never heard of, available wherever you get your podcasts. This week's videos are sponsored by Price Picks, the easy-to-use fantasy sports betting app.
Starting point is 00:00:41 More on them in just a bit. Citizens of the Reject Nation! I want to say, I'll be back. Yeah, but... It was so tragic last time. However, it's not even that it's tragic, Tara. is that you and I just peeped the poster. That was tragic.
Starting point is 00:01:02 And there's some good news and there's some bad news. Yep. The good news is our boy. Yeah, our boy. Christian Bale is on the poster. We love him. We love him. We live for Christian Bale.
Starting point is 00:01:14 We do. I don't even care if he freaks out on sets. Forget about it. Still love you. That's our Batman. The bad news is, Arnie wasn't on the poster. At all.
Starting point is 00:01:23 I have to imagine if he's in this movie, he would have. He would have been on the poster. So I don't know if I can say, I'll be back. Oh, my God. What if Christian Bail tries to do it? People would be like, stealing, stealing, copyright. So instead, what I'm going to say is, I bet that.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Oh, my God. The intros get better and better, everybody. As we go. And by better, she means worse. Yes, I do. We're watching Terminator 4, which is also known as Salvation. Salvation. I wasn't quizzing you

Starting point is 00:04:26 Let's freaking go. That intro is exactly four minutes and 20 seconds, 420, baby. I love that. All right, sexual content, foul language, smoking, alcohol use, our kind of movie. That's what I'm talking about. Bring it on.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Let's go, baby. Shirts off. All right, if you say so. It's actually not that cold in here today. Not at all, actually. Yeah. It's like, it's your best temperature is what it is right now. You must be sweating.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Okay, I like the music already. Yeah, me too, but it is giving Dark Night behind. We looked up the year of this, which was 2009, which means that it came out between our second and third installments of the Dark Night trilogy, which is weird because Christian Bale and his time off was terminating. Yeah. Sam Worthington. What?
Starting point is 00:05:24 What? Okay, this is a weird thing that I don't know that Christian Bail and Sam Worthington were in a movie called Terminator movie. Why is it not? Why have we not heard more about it? I don't know who that is. Maybe I do. He passed. He was the guy from Star Trek. Bryce Dallas Howard. Oh my God. Common. What is this movie? What is this cast? This is a weird, weird, weird hole that is in Michael Ironside. Well, we, dude, we are, this is a, I don't know. Cast is a, is wacky-do wild, dude. For us to have never. Hell in a bottom, Carter, what? Yeah, this is just Tara and I reading actors' names and screaming. I guess they were like, if we don't have Arnie, we're going to have to.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You got to stack it up. And they did. So why does this have such a low score on Arte? I know, right? Ooh, 2003. Okay, correctional. So this is the time that Arney was our goal. governor mark and he couldn't make it it's a great point i don't know i don't know if it was but
Starting point is 00:06:29 yeah me too that's a really excellent observation terror what last time she's staying sammas is good after governor he's on the throat by signing this consent form you'd be donating your body to a noble cause i wouldn't have known this was her if we didn't see her name right me neither you know what i did my brother and two cops are dead because of me i'm not looking for a second chance I don't know the only one with a death sentence Oh God, he's talking right at her Is she sick? Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:58 She's got to be Yeah, kill your cancer, yeah I'm not worried about myself I'm worried about the future Or the human race Me too I do For what
Starting point is 00:07:10 Okay Okay Oh, okay Oh They're just like We just let them have it I'm super into this Yeah me too
Starting point is 00:07:21 It's a short kiss, but So that's what death is. Ah. That was a weird set to say after. Interesting. Cyberdyne. Yep. Well, there you have it.
Starting point is 00:07:38 I'm guilty. Just come me up until there's nothing left. Oh, wow. Danny Alphan did the score of this. That's her hubby. Right? I walk through the valley of the... Danny Alvin's married to Highland and Bottom Carter?
Starting point is 00:07:50 Isn't, isn't, weren't they? married for a minute? No, no, I'm talking of it. Never mind. The director who works with him was her husband. Is it Tim Byrne? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you. Thank you. I was going to say, you just taught me something I did not know. No, no, no. How are we going to keep him alive? Do you have any last words? Well, we won. I think they're just going to, they're going to autopsy him. No, but he's so famous. He's going to be in the movie. That probably is a term, right? That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:08:23 I don't like what he said to her about death tasting. I didn't either. I thought it was weird. I liked his awe after her. Like, he really enjoyed it. But in that sense, I was like, oh. I think if I kiss somebody and they said that to me, I'd be very upset. Me too.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I would say, just keep it at, ah. Yeah. Like, you literally sold your body to me for a kiss. You wanted to kiss me that bad. Exactly. That's what we're, that's what we're trying to live in. Yes. And I'll just say what we're all thinking
Starting point is 00:08:53 He is a smoke Oh God, yeah I kiss him in a heartbeat Oh, this is Mick G I don't know who that is Oh I saw that and I was like MCG cool Don't know
Starting point is 00:09:02 I try to do that's so forth Judgment Day You remember that who is the man is it this guy oh no John Connor right are we going to get the same the year's 2018
Starting point is 00:09:27 so is it going to be the same actor yeah well I guess we'll see I would hope TTO 1 1 1 seconds Danger close Oh God is Christian Bale going to be John Connor That's got to be it now
Starting point is 00:09:42 now yeah that has to be it what you just said is probably super accurate yeah wow that that was a very this is a cool one like they went from that heli
Starting point is 00:09:59 to up to down we're still rolling I like that Connor is on the ground yeah oh there's our guy Connor is on the ground yeah he is
Starting point is 00:10:11 this mission is Quick in and out. Command teams the information on those computers to be up the highest priority. Who the hell is talking right now? Cool shot. I was born in the darkness. Cool. Tara, some people just want to watch the world burn.
Starting point is 00:10:31 I know it. I just quoted Bain and Alfred. I haven't given one Batman quote just so we're clear. I am vengeance. There we go. Except he didn't. say the line, but still love that line. Just so good.
Starting point is 00:10:45 It's way too quiet. It's almost like they're working for us. Want to know how I got these scarves? Oops. Wait, 2009. It's the year the Avatar came out. Oh, really? There's something else you have to see.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Isn't that Sam? I don't know. Isn't he Sully? Isn't he the main dude in Avatar? I don't want to get that wrong. Let me look that up. Because a big year for him if it is. Oh, God. Those guys behind the cages are alive.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Barbarossa. Harareen Pirates in the Caribbean now? Interesting. Yeah, he is the main guy in Avatar, so 2009 big year for this dude. He's really working. Well, this is probably shot before. These people are being taken up north to San Francisco, some sort of R&D project for a new terminator.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Senator Command It's uploading I need two minutes Wait wait wait Go back Terah go back Tehr go back He 800
Starting point is 00:11:48 The new terminating Because he's brilliant Connor Get your nose out of that None of your business You're not leading this mission All right let's cut these sorry bastards loose
Starting point is 00:12:00 Come on let's go But he should be Come in Caracoc That's what our guy is Cybernetic organism You said this was 2009, right? That it was released. Yeah, same with Avatar.
Starting point is 00:12:20 That's just crazy for him. That's an insane year. But this probably was shot maybe a couple years before, though. You know, Avatar was shot before, too. Oh, yeah, true. Outbound enemy aircraft. I'm in pursuit. They're human prisoners aboard that thing.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Get after it. Oh, God. Dead. Okay. I guess I'll fly the plane myself, Tara. Yeah. Gotta do what you got to do. Thanks for noticing.
Starting point is 00:12:53 That looked really good, too. Oh. Yeah, it did. Okay. Still moving. Still kicking. And we're on the ground? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:02 How are we going to flip this shot? Yeah, here we go. That way. who are you talking to us what was that oh that that looks cool that's um yeah well that looks not good but cool but not good but i'm not good but i'm not good yeah like a nuclear But not good, yeah. Like a nuclear or hydrogen. Fuck.
Starting point is 00:13:34 No. Oh. Ooh. I wonder how many of his own stunts bails us. Oh, yeah. It's a good question. Oh, nice. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:52 I didn't think that would work. He's going to get right back up. He's going to Michael wires it, right? Unless he doesn't? Bravo 10 Bravo 10. Do you copy over? Bravo 10 copy? Eagle 1? This is
Starting point is 00:14:08 Bravo 10. You got it really wrong, both of us. Connor! Here! How many survivors are on site, over? One. Copy. I couldn't help but say
Starting point is 00:14:23 one, and it's me. Right. That's a really pretty shot. I'm sure that's probably CG, but it looks great. Considering he just disappeared on the wall. Yeah. It kind of looks like Star Wars. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Wow. I really like that. Out went from Oh. In tonight. Now it's raining. That looks like a term. It does. Oh, no, that's Sam. Yeah. He's our cybernetic thing. All right, steal his claws, and now what? This movie's low-key starting strong.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I agree. I'm into it. I'm like, this is fun. Negative. Take me to command. Sir. Command. Roger.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Rerouting. One of my number one most used emojis is one I like that one copy that that request has been denied oh are they down there request has been denied sir need to know only that's straight from the top what are you gonna do right now yeah like what you open up that ramp and you tell them I need divers for a lock in now I believe I can't tell who who's outranking Who in certain scenarios?
Starting point is 00:15:58 Oh, no, I have no idea. What did we find down there? Because my man died down in that hole. We found a solution, Connor, that can end this war once and for all. Oh. It has an off switch. Does it work? Will it work?
Starting point is 00:16:16 Yes. Have we tested it? No. Give it to me. Okay. I'll test that. Connor and his tech-com unit have an excellent record. All right.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Do we have to be close to it for it to work? I mean, we're working on, I guess so. These are the codes for the signal. Good luck. Why four days? Everyone in this room will be dead by a week's end. You're number two on the list. Who's number one?
Starting point is 00:16:42 Yeah. Yeah. An unknown. A civilian. Kyle. Ah. A road. Do you think we're done with Helena Bonham Carter?
Starting point is 00:17:01 Yeah. That's wild. Yeah. Should I tell you about your father? Will it affect your decision to send him back in time to protect me? But if you don't send Kyle, you can never be. And Skynet will win the war. A reminder to everybody at home that Kyle Reese is Kyle.
Starting point is 00:17:18 You want to talk about him? Kyle is out there somewhere alone. Skynet is hunting up. Yeah. What about the signal? What do you think? If it works, it's incredible. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 We have to be careful. I agree. All right, then start with something small, something we're familiar with. Is she? Kill car, Reese. Resid the future. Okay, all right, yeah. Huh.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Is that the Hollywood time? Looks like it. This looks like the last of us. It does, yeah. Hey! why would you do what you just did oh god oh probably because he's a term too
Starting point is 00:18:05 and he can't get hurt it started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage by the time it was over she was dead and he claimed LSD made him do it
Starting point is 00:18:23 His name, David Minor the Fourth, and we talk to him. Listen to Invisible Choir every other week as we uncover the most haunting true crimes you've never heard of. Available wherever you get your podcasts. Ah, nice. Come with me if you want to live. Okay, we might... Come with me if you want to live. I like it.
Starting point is 00:19:08 So is that, Kyle? Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Because then he would have heard it from... Right. But he's so young. Would that make sense? No, right? Because Kyle can't be...
Starting point is 00:19:23 young yeah i i don't know how the time travel works with their age is i don't i don't think it no that wouldn't make sense i don't think it is oh nice it does look really cool like i like how the terminars look in here that's pretty savage what is that oh geez buddy she doesn't talk but you need to start i like the outline where you get that jacket it's a symbol of the resistance you're obviously not a resistance fighter so Take it off. Take it off! You point a gun at someone.
Starting point is 00:19:58 You better be ready to pull the trigger. Oh, I've heard that line before. Me too. I was just going to say that. Was that from this that we've heard that? I think it's used a lot. I'm saying that guns aren't for threats. They're for actions.
Starting point is 00:20:10 The hell was that thing? Terminator. C-600. What day is it? What year? 2018. What happened here? Judgment day happened.
Starting point is 00:20:20 Is he, Kyle? You mean, oh. I got to get out of. here you can't go on foot machines will cut you down need a car look there's some by griff's observatory take me get down oh whoa that was a hunter killer thanks to you then over here oh oh yeah i mean our initial and your initial yeah but it just the That's got to be. But he goes back to the future to get him.
Starting point is 00:20:57 So I guess it does make sense. The signal has to be continuous. If there's any interruption. Oh, okay. So it does work. Let's rig up a portable shortwave. I need to test it on something larger in the field. All right.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Destroy this thing. It's still pretty dangerous because if it gets interrupted, you're absolutely screwed. And in this world, I'm sure it could get disrupted all the time. What is that? Two-day-old coyote. Delicious.
Starting point is 00:21:29 No. Better than three-day-old coyote. True. Grab it. What? Grab it. Oh, he's trying to, you try and train the kid. Grab it back like I grabbed it from you.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Ready, go. Magic. Okay. Not really. It's just a strap, but okay. Is it ready to work? No, my dad tried to fix it, but I could never get it to work. His dad?
Starting point is 00:21:59 Hmm. Is it Christian? I'm confused. I've confused myself somehow. Is John Connor Kyle Reese's dad or is Kyle Reese John Connor's dad? I know, because I'm thinking of the age right now that it's messing me up to. But hold on. I'm going to literally Google it.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Just Google it. You still here? Because we're the resistance. L.A. Branch. Welcome to the headquarters. Is this thing what? Yeah. Kyle Reese is John Cawther's, John Connor's father.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah, okay, so we were right. It's just the... I'm sure this all makes sense. Sorry, guys. We even watched the first two in a year. Yeah, it's been a minute. We've been fighting a long time, and we have all lost so very much, so many loved ones gone. You are not alone.
Starting point is 00:22:40 That's the... There's pockets of resistance all around the planet. That is the monologue that happens at the very end of Terminator 1. That was cool. Terminator 1 or 2. He says that. It's in a voiceover at the end. Those exact words.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Above all, stay alive. You have no idea how important you are. Skynet is planning something big, but the resistance is planning something bigger. He's protecting him because it's protecting himself also. This is John Connor. If you're listening to this, you are the resistance. We've got to find this guy.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Okay. The time travel rules are a little shaky to me, but I'm into the movie. Me too. It's giving back to the future meets Star Wars. Yeah. A little bit. That's a good, just go away. A little bit of hunger games? Look, I figure we head east, right?
Starting point is 00:23:28 We go through the desert, then we can connect with the resistance there. I'm heading north. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. He said no. What about the L.A. branch? Come on, man. We need to get out of L.A. I feel you sometimes.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Yeah. I work coming like that star. Get out. Get out. Oh, God. You're leaving? I hope she gets A couple lines
Starting point is 00:23:54 So she gets at least her under five I know right You want to know the difference Between us and the machines We bury our dead But no one is coming to bury you I feel like I heard that line too Yeah
Starting point is 00:24:06 This movie is either stolen a lot of lines Or people stolen a lot of lines In the movie No I think they're reusing It lines that have Yeah I've been For the Terminator
Starting point is 00:24:14 Oh Drive Oh Okay This entire movie is in like sepia green It is Oh, this little girl's gonna take care of it a bit Oh, never mind
Starting point is 00:24:47 That was a cool shot We're seeing a lot of enemy movement any of rough people in the area no one on the ground two eight tens in the year williams and my hearty roger couch six seven cops tall six seven oh oh I feel like we could do something with T, T10, T100, T. Someone here. You call me T1,000? Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Move up your weapon. See your hands. What? What? What? There a problem? What do you want? We're looking for fuel.
Starting point is 00:25:37 The dark season's coming. We only go right enough for ourselves. You point that gun at somebody. You better be ready to pull the trigger. We just copied people. Look, we just came to find the resistance. that's all fighting those machines is impossible keep your heads down and they'll come for you adventure we help you maybe they will well i'm gonna help you let's go you're
Starting point is 00:25:55 not going anywhere what not until this one gets something to eat oh huh bring me a basket basket come on help yourself eat up oh she's so happy are you all right son it's our food our fuel it's not your choice to me Yikes. Yeah, Twinkie. Oh, God, what? Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Oh. Oh. Oh. Stop. Come on, wait. Hey! Stop! Don't forget him, go!
Starting point is 00:26:41 Oh. Whoa. Yeah. I'm surprised you I didn't go down. Pressure didn't go down immediately. Marcus! Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I don't think he should take a truck. He's knocking them all out. Just tied. That's still the woman that helped them? Yeah. Oh. Oh. You didn't try and blow them up?
Starting point is 00:27:13 It's it. It's it? Yeah. Caboom. But why do you have a star in the car then? Shoot it! Keep going. That's kind of cool, realistically, because he's holding on to one thing and then shooting with the other hand.
Starting point is 00:27:34 It was hard to... Yeah. Yeah. Because there you go, girl. I wish she would have just done it. I wanted them to write it. That that little girl sees what's going. going on and goes, well, she still gave it to him, so at some point.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I hope so. Hell yet. Literally nothing to be happy about. Oh, yeah. Okay, we're screwed. This, by the way, is the guy Anton Yelchin, who everybody loved before he passed away. Oh. Nice.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Hold on! Ooh! Drop the bow! Yikes. Oh no. No. Yeah. Honestly, don't know how we get out of this.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Oh. Okay. That works. There's water, though. Oh, they caught, okay. Okay, so they keep them inside. All right. Yeah, we saw that shot before with the...
Starting point is 00:29:31 Yeah. I didn't realize it was inside the actual chip. For some reason I had, yeah. Oh, okay. Get at it. They've never come this deep before. They're looking for something. Nice.
Starting point is 00:29:52 HK is down. Oh. Whoa. See, and he's still going to live. I guarantee it, right? But he's not, like, fully human at this point. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:11 We just haven't proven. Yeah, but yes, you're right. I do agree. It's got a lock on you. You break off. Yeah, you got it. Eject, Williams, you're jacked. Punch it out.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Too late, buddy. Oh, God. Prisoner transport headed northwest, bearing 2.89 towards San Francisco. Let's test a signal. it works okay oh that's a guy oh that's a guy who's yeah okay he's alive sounded like a girl that's a girl it is a girl okay you okay get my knife in my left boot what's your name Blair Williams what's yours okay I think she was ready to drop but okay you can let me
Starting point is 00:31:10 down now Marcus oh okay yeah it wasn't that high first I was like why wouldn't you like yeah that's fine this episode is brought to you by prize picks the app that finally let me crash my wife's fantasy sports click yes I used to overhear her and her friends bonding while I sat in the corner where my arms folded come to my home and I can't be included trying to pretend like yeah I know what yards after catch means just fell left out man And then I discovered prize picks.
Starting point is 00:31:42 So here's the deal. It's daily fantasy sports, not gambling. No playing against sharks or betting against the house. It's just you versus your own sports brain. You pick more or less on two or more player's stats. Like, will Luca Donchich score more than 30 points tonight? Will Christian McCaffrey rush for less than 85 yards? Sports things.
Starting point is 00:32:03 And if you're right, you win. Another thing, too, it's fast. You can make a lineup in under a minute, playing in 30-plus states. And you're not stuck to just NFL or NBA. You've got MLB, NHL, college football, even e-sports. Basically, if it has stats, you can play. And basically, I now can hang out with my wife and her friends. 10 years in the making.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And when I get one right, it does feel good. So, fellow reject, what you can do today is you can download the Price Bix app. Use code rejects to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That's code rejects to get $50 in lineups after your first $5. five dollar lineup prize picks it's good to be right thing where to go sky net where the hell you gone after it hate to break it to you but if you've got friends on that thing there's good as dead the same as you if you keep walking in that direction dead inside over there's some cool action stuff but it's like the story hasn't progressed quickly enough find something we can
Starting point is 00:33:03 burn we'll be at my base tomorrow i am entertained though and interested in where we're going yeah I think they could speed it up a little, but I still think it's good. I'm still totally in it. What do you got there? Listen, I don't have much, but you're welcome to whatever you need. We've been watching you. You looking for this? Ugh.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Come on, guys. Machines are the enemy. We're about to watch Sam Worthington kick their butt. Yeah. You see, I got a couple friends on my side. Maybe they can carry you home when I'm done with you. Oh, okay. Get it out of it, girl. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Yeah, and he's going to do this, and she's going to be like, I had it. Nice. I like that. That was a Terminator thing. Remember when you got punching turns it back around? I hope she says what you said, but she might just go thanks, which I'm not going to like as much, but she's still not gotten up, so. Oh, okay. Oh, she says, let him bleed out. Oh, okay, what? She gives him the anti-badice.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Why, yes. I'm a little cold. You want his warmth? Because I get that. I'm like, they're going to snuggle up, right? Relax. Oh. I wanted them.
Starting point is 00:34:38 to be a little more witty banter before it got to this. But that's all right. She just wants some body heat, dear. A strong heart. I get it. I get it. God, I love that sound. You're doing a little too much,
Starting point is 00:34:54 girly, but I do understand. Yeah. In an apocalypse kind of like this, or whatever this is. I wanted a little more justification for what's happening right now, but it's fine. His hand is still not on her.
Starting point is 00:35:08 So I like. Don't meet a lot of good guys these days. I'm not a good guy. You are. You just don't know it yet. Like, basically. We're talking like we didn't just meet 10 minutes ago. Based on what she's saying, what she knows.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Do you think people deserve a second chance? Yeah, I do. Yeah, I feel like we got some stuff that was left on the cutting room floor. Yeah, had to. Had to have. Turn it up. Turn it up. working.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Oh, yeah, it's going to crash. Okay, so all the people are still in there. The signal works. It's beautiful. The music. It's beautiful. It's beautiful. That was not very Danny Alphen of this.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Oh, I thought they would try to look at it. What is the extraction plan for the prisoners? there is no extraction plan we're gonna level the place oh no skynet central is filled with human prisoners yeah this is war connor leadership has its cost you above all should know that we're gonna have to kill rogue exactly terra let's go get out the humans We don't have, like, one main Terminator in this, so that's a little difficult. Yeah. Yeah, like, why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:36:51 You see them standing up there, like, it's a robot. It's going to be able to, yeah. Did you guys keep each other warm? Player. Tell us. This is us. The mines are magnetic. If we had due west at this point of entry, we're good.
Starting point is 00:37:07 I'll go first. See like she's a type of character I'd want to play right she's like tough she can take care of her own but there's some writing in this and I was like yeah I could see you in that role for sure though dude let's go Marcus starving oh because he is metal for the hour with that rod and nice stab yeah yep What have we got here? He stepped on a landmine. Keep it open. I'm gonna start with Christian already. You got him here and you didn't notice he had a prosthetic limb?
Starting point is 00:37:49 Right. I'm like, what's this whole body? Barnes. He's a terminator? Oh. Oh. It's real flesh and blood, though it seems to heal itself quickly. The heart is human, the brain too, but with a chip interface.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Have you done to me? It has a hybrid nervous. you think you're human I am human that's a reveal that I look like oh okay I thought maybe we'd see some like oh okay there we go I heard you a voice on her radio you were sent here to kill me I don't know what you're talking about then why you've here blasted you could help me find who I'm looking for if I let you down you'll kill everyone on this room just you and Connor because I didn't give a shit about you yeah but why would you say you
Starting point is 00:38:38 Kill him is. He was there for me? He's got. We've been at war since before either of us even exist in. Oh. You try killing my mother. Sarah Coner.
Starting point is 00:38:49 No, but he's not a... He's invented by the humans to fight the Terminators. He's not a Terminator. Kyle Reese. He's on a transporter hitting for Skynet if I wanted to kill him. I would have...
Starting point is 00:39:03 I would have done him in L.A. Okay. But you said it's going to happen to him Disassembled You mean killed It may have information on Skynet But you said it as a human brain and a heart Right
Starting point is 00:39:17 That machine saved you Only to gain access to kill all of us So now this girl's gonna break him out Because she don't want him to die So I guess when I said there isn't one Terminator In this movie He is our Yeah
Starting point is 00:39:31 Machine Oh Grab a weapon, Tara Yeah, I love it I don't know what that was doing right there But me neither We're gonna be okay, don't worry Not really
Starting point is 00:39:53 Giving confidence Yeah the no thing is i don't know i find it a little Connor wants to see you work for like he's gonna tell me barns let me see that i'll finish the job but i won't she's trying to show yeah which i like that you want me to tell Connor you're not coming no she she would have had to do that there's no way he would have that's good
Starting point is 00:40:32 Oh. That was cool. That was cool. I like that. I thought I knew our enemy. That thing. That makes me feel like I know nothing. Well, then maybe.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Absolutely believes that it is human. And it is telling me that Carl Rees is in a sky net. If that is true, the command is about to bomb my father. Then you're going to die. Mm-hmm. Come in. What's up? bless that you needed me oh no it's all making sense now
Starting point is 00:41:08 he said get in what is his her plan like she's bars what about where she made her choice get out his metal will protect you I would burn your finger. Why was she? There's some stuff in this movie. I'm like, why? We're producers just like, yep, sign off on that.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Oh. Now what? My plan stopped at the Jeep. Okay. Go. Now, keep the head down. Oh, wow. Come on.
Starting point is 00:42:09 You all right? Let's get you out of here. But where were you shot? Get you out of here. What are you talking about? What about you? That line should have been, let's get the fuck out of here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:24 We need to get out of here. Yeah, like. But also you are right. It was unnecessary. You know she's not. Yeah. We need to just like. I've got you or something.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Flip it. Okay. That's cool shot. E.T. phone home. If I learned I was a Terminator, I would have so many, or a machine, I would have so many immediate, like body questions and feeling inside and true i know he hasn't had time for that but like does your d work did they make it bigger that was kind of oh this looks like almost like stock footage to me i don't know why that looks like the film that we're in
Starting point is 00:43:31 we're getting a little repetitive yeah another black cock down why are we going out here without the transmission frequency thing that we have Hydraulics throughout Okay, yeah. Give me your hands! Give me your hands! Oh no. Not looking good. Fall's definitely good.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Fall fell. Oh, that looks wild. This is a different take on a sea creature. It's kind of cool. Oh, oh. Sam's helping. They know what you are even if you don't. That gun ain't gonna stop shit.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Nobody shot you in the heart and I see that thing beating the mile a minute. Kyle Reese. Oh. He's in Skynet. You do that, he's dead. I can get you in. How? That's his heartbeat with you?
Starting point is 00:44:46 I guess so Look at me That's why I don't trust you I'm the only hope you have I need to find who did this to me So do you Listen to your heart You can be in
Starting point is 00:44:58 You tell me Where I can find galleries I don't let you live And then I'll be back What are you I don't know Unfortunately I don't think so
Starting point is 00:45:15 He says, what are you, as he's leaving. What'd you do it? I saw a man, not a machine. Why'd you do it? How's it like? I'll live. Let her go. She's like, what?
Starting point is 00:45:27 Governor, are your men ready? Negative. Nobody is ready. We are not, you are not. We must abort the attack. Okay. Delay the attack. I have a chance to infiltrate SkyNet
Starting point is 00:45:38 and rescue those prisoners. Give me that opportunity. No, absolutely not. He never follows orders. We lose everything. No, you stay the course. If we stay the course, we are dead. Why doesn't he understand that?
Starting point is 00:45:52 As of this moment, soldier, you are relieved to your command. You are no longer a part of this resistance. This guy's an idiot. Yeah. This is John Conner. If you're listening to this, you are the resistance. If we attack tonight, our humanity is lost. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:46:08 But we are not machines. And if we behave like them, then what is the point in winning? Okay, speech. If even one bomb drops on Skynet before sunrise, our future will be lost. Okay. Give me the time to protect our future that all of us are fighting for. We know they all respect him. Oh.
Starting point is 00:46:32 So? Oh, that's Bryce Dallas. Okay. I thought it was the other girl. I was like, what? It did look like her for a second. But even this, I love a kiss, but so is that her, his baby? Yeah, it has to be.
Starting point is 00:46:44 but we haven't mentioned it. What should I tell your men when they find out you're gone? I'll be back. Yeah! We got it. Come on now. Go on now. Ask me.
Starting point is 00:46:56 What should I tell your men when they know that you'll be gone? I'll be back. I'm glad they gave him that. I don't know if that hit well in the theaters, but for us. It's fun. Gotta have it. Because we've got a half hour left. So now I'm ready to pedal to the metal.
Starting point is 00:47:12 They better bring the heat for the. I hope so, too. Third act, bring the heat. Both times that's happened, something has happened that we have just straight up missed. I know, right? That was a cool stunt. That bike went flying.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Now what? Are you going to ride the bike? What's going on here? Okay, cool. Love that. That's some dark night juice right there. Right there. Hey, hey.
Starting point is 00:47:44 it's interesting that they let him in he like that was a moment for him like kind of like happy but bummed i bet you he'll meet more or the people that they're holding they're going to turn into like him why because sky net probably just wants more and more robots right more terms no but it was the humans that turned him right helen and bottom carter's people that's right to go back on it well i guess we have to see who's like who she was working for and stuff but if the terminators see that then they'll try to do the same thing to use it against the humans for sure right he's calling it marcus instead of it yep he's really grown I agree. I was like trying to really look at it in the dark. I liked the reflection on it. Now I'm like, no, it looks good.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Oh, God, that looks wild. Sink complete. Now I'm freezing, Tara. You are? I don't think the temp's changed. Just, yeah. It's just Roxy. That's just rocks. I should have known to grab the blanket. To donate body after execution, we know all that.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Zaynox comes to cancer. Continues. Let's say what I says purchased by the U.S. Okay. Three smashed to blacks in a movie is wild. I agree. I know some movies they might utilize it once, but not this many times.
Starting point is 00:49:44 that does look really cool signal broadcasting at full strength sir good commence bombing of sky net we have a green light for the attack but nobody's gonna do it right right they will not attack unless Connor gives the order That was some mission impossible juice right there Oh Kareesh No get to the transport Get to the chopper
Starting point is 00:50:17 Get to the transport For all I know We got five more movies after this I don't know how many there are Interesting Oh there she is We knew you'd be back after all It was programmed in you
Starting point is 00:50:33 Oh, so it was with... What am I? You are an infiltration prototype, the only one of your kind. We resurrected you. Not dead. Calculations confirmed with Serena Kogan's face is the easiest for you to process. Oh. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:50:49 The human condition no longer applies to you. Except what you already know, that you were made to serve a purpose. Oh no. But no other machine has achieved before. To infiltrate. Find a target. And then bring that target. Back home to us.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Uh. We gave them what they wanted to believe. A trick in the form of a signal. Their resistance thought would win the war. And they were right. It will end this war. Except that it is the resistance that will be terminated. Not SkyNet.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Oh boy. Okay. Sir, we've got a bogey with a very large radar signature closing in in our position. I thought it would be just like very exciting from 10 minutes to go on. Yeah, me too, me too. We have destroyed ourselves. Sky and attracted our signal.
Starting point is 00:51:41 We let them straight to us. And we kind of keep repeating some stuff that we know. Yeah. Okay. Our best machines had failed time and again to complete omission. And so we made you. We created the perfect infiltration machine. Oh, so you knew that.
Starting point is 00:52:01 I did not. what Skynet has failed to do for so many years. You killed John Connor. Hmm. I thought that he was one of the good guys. I was made to be a good guy. What? CGI?
Starting point is 00:52:24 So CGI. Yeah, but I still like seeing him, but like the face is very CGI. Yeah, he's, that's not him. That's a video game. Don't fight, Marcus. Remember what you are. Remember who you are.
Starting point is 00:52:48 He's gonna rip his face off. Oh. Took the chip out of his brain. Okay. You will not be given a second chance. You cannot save John Connor. Watch me. Interesting how easy it was.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Just grab that chip and be like, now you can't give me orders. Like... She says you will not be to give him a second chance. Do you think he gives a shit? He doesn't care. He doesn't want a second chance. He's basically superhuman and now he doesn't have to follow your orders. I also still want to hear about how he was such a bad guy, how that's relevant.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Let's go! Scramble that crap! No! Go! Oh, no. No, no, no, not Star. No, she'll be fine. Nice. Bro, you're a Terminator and a robot, and you need to learn to aim.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Like, I don't know why they haven't worked on that. You should be a really precise killing machine. Bingo, baby. Save me. Like, what is this? Like, what is going on? I wonder if people were stoked to see Arnie. Probably excited, but it doesn't look very good.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Come on. been one of the first times that we did that really they probably like oh wow it looks enough like him for them to go that's pretty cool but now it's what are these fuel cells life source for the t 800 nuclear oh right get ready the terminators behind them scary yeah Pop, tap, tarabot. Ralph Tumbled, tumble, all right. All right, baby. Where are you going?
Starting point is 00:55:06 I got to end this. No, no, I'm not going to leave you. You're sinners. Who are you? John Connor. Don't tell him you're his son, though, right? All right. Come on.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Ow, ow. Finally a team-up, let's go. I guess we've been waiting for this moment, the whole movie. The enemy of our enemy is our friend. Okay, we didn't really get the team up that I was open for. Nope, just about five seconds of it. But he could stay and set it off and let John Connor go because he'd probably, he would survive it.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Ah, stop to start. Wow, terminated that quick. No, it can't be right. What? John Connor's in there. Who is me? If you want to lead. Yeah, for sure, dog. Oh, it'll freeze in when he's hot, and then maybe you won't be able to move.
Starting point is 00:56:45 Yeah. You son of a bitch. Okay. That was a good line. Well, that's how he got his scar on his face. Love it. That's cool. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Come on! You gotta restart his heart? Yeah. Come on! Oh, God, he's unfreezing. Come on! Come on! Yikes
Starting point is 00:57:38 Whoa! Whoa. Just get out here. Huh. We can't make it back to base. Set this down in the nearest safe zone. Is she gonna speak? Oh.
Starting point is 00:57:56 She probably just gonna press it. Kaboom! No, you do it. You do it. You wanted that so bad. I did. Let her do it. At Fandual Casino, you get even more ways to play. And they got everyone out that they could. They did the thing that they told us they were to do. Mission accomplished.
Starting point is 00:58:47 Like I said, Tara, want to know how I got these scars. Yeah. Now we know. Want to know how I got these scars. His heart can't take it. It's going to be okay. Based on what? Oh, dang it.
Starting point is 00:59:08 See, like that moment with the music, you're supposed to feel something. It's supposed to be a big deal, but I don't. You want to get what they're trying to do. It's just like... Yeah, me too. They didn't do enough to really get us there. The script wasn't...
Starting point is 00:59:24 Yeah, I want to say that I don't feel the same way you do, but I do. Kate. Oh, gosh. Take mine. Take my heart. Everybody deserves a second chance. This is mine.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Are you guys like donor matches? Right, like blood type of relevant here. Can you just take somebody else's heart without? Okay. And now they're just, they're smooching everywhere. Tastes like life? Yeah, let's hear it. nobody's gonna say no we don't want to do this you have a brain and a heart that's what makes you human
Starting point is 01:00:04 everybody's gonna just say yeah give them your heart i guess so and kill you over it okay what is it that makes us human it's not something you can program you can't put it into a chip it's the strength of the human heart the difference between us and machines yeah but if having a heart is what makes you human there is a storm on the horizon A time of hardship and pain Terminator 5 But the war against the machines Rages on
Starting point is 01:00:36 Skynet's global network Remains strong But we will not quit Until all of it is destroyed This is John Connor There is no fate But what we make Oh
Starting point is 01:00:49 So this is the Reject Nation Yeah tell them We just watched Terminator 4 And we have some thoughts We also are going to get to some patron questions from you guys. And a quick shout out to Preper. Thanks for helping edit us down. We appreciate you always. Also, if you're not already following us on social media at Real Rejects. And if you're on Apple and Spotify, give us that five-star, that thumbs up. Tara, let me get your general thoughts on this movie.
Starting point is 01:01:15 We were kind of just conversing a little bit about it during the credits, but I think it's pretty apparent this one wasn't necessarily for us. No, not at all. There's just, there's so many downfalls in regards to the writing and the pacing of this movie. There's things that I think any person in their right mind who has made films would go that like the pacing here is wrong. There could have been a better way to say this. Why is she snuggling up to him so freaking soon? Why haven't we talked about John Conner's child with the wife like at all? Why is she pregnant? I don't know. I mean there's just like there's there's just a lot there's a lot going on but mainly I think my biggest thing because those are small plot points within this bigger picture is that the pacing of even any of the fight scenes and
Starting point is 01:02:08 anything else was not dead on I thought like especially at the end like you said pedal to the metal let's freaking go it's going to be like who we go but no I actually liked a lot of the movie and then And then there was just some, the, you just mentioned that I just mentioned, the pacing, the performances were strong. Yeah, totally. But a lot of it felt unearned. Is this the worst action movie we've ever seen? Absolutely not. It was totally a fine, it was, sometimes I would rather a movie that sucks than a movie that's mid.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Because there's more to, like, talk about, this movie was mid. It's not bad. It's not a bad movie. It's just mid, totally a mid, totally fine mid movie. I, have you seen Mick G's other stuff? No. He did Charlie's Angels full throttle. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:02 Let me tell you what else he's done. I've seen a bunch of his stuff, but I'm blanking on some of it. Hold on. Let me tell you. Uh, bu, ba, ba. He did a couple episodes of Lethal Weapons show. He did a movie called Uglies that came out last year. Um, he did,
Starting point is 01:03:22 this movie he did an episode of Chuck he did like I said Charlie's Angel Fulta Otto he did
Starting point is 01:03:30 2000 Charlie's Angels which is the one we grew up with Cameron Diaz Drew Bay Mar Lucy Lou um he directed the music video
Starting point is 01:03:40 to smash mouth sol star that's funny okay sugar rays every morning bare naked ladies one week okay
Starting point is 01:03:47 okay ever clear one at wonder that's interesting offsprings pretty fly so he was a music video director sublime music video corn music video at santa ria with a lot a lot of music videos before switching over um so that i'm not hearing a lot that i'm like that's a baller moving this was a letdown i don't think it was a total letdown i still enjoyed it but i love the original charlie's it not the
Starting point is 01:04:12 original charliezine or the one we grew up with i agree with you i do love that i do agree with you on that it's been so long since i've seen it so i can't like pull stuff out but yeah all right um Let's take some Patreon questions and see what you guys have to say. Awesome, Joe, movie reviews. Thanks for the question. Did you enjoy Christian Bale performance as John Connor in this? Also, was this future adaptation satisfying to you when it seems nothing like the flash forwards in the previous films? Let's start with the first part.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Yeah, I mean, I always love Christian Bale. I think him as a performer as an actor, he's always great. He doesn't really like let me down. it's really just the writing and the pacing of it. The future, like, overall, this movie was not satisfying to me. I don't think it had to do a lot with the flash forward stuff. I think it had to do a lot with what I've already said, the writing and the pacing and the direction,
Starting point is 01:05:08 because the director can see that on the page and go, wait, we're filming this, and it does seem like there was a lot left, maybe on the cutting room floor, but I definitely don't want to watch this movie for three hours. it was already a bit of a struggle for two. Right. So that's my answer.
Starting point is 01:05:24 They needed to cut a lot of the action stuff, I think, to give us more character development. Yes, so that we care. Right. Christian Bale, and, to be perfectly clear, Christian Bale and Sam Worthington made this movie watchable. Agreed. And the performers. Absolutely. They made it watchable.
Starting point is 01:05:40 So, yes, I liked him as John Connor, but no, it wasn't satisfying about what we've seen the flash forwards. Yeah. Yeah. If the question is, it was a satisfying answer. Yeah, it's not. Yeah. Jaden Rhodes, this movie has aged well, in my opinion. I remember when it came out, people didn't care for it. But as of today, people have kind of picked this as the best of the movies that came out after T2. Do we know how many movies there were? Is this the best of all? Are there more after this?
Starting point is 01:06:11 Yeah. But I'm curious what you all think of Christian Bale's version of John Connor. He is my favorite after Edward Furlong. you guys are there many many different john conners let me see how many that makes me so sad if people are picking this one as the best movies that came after t2 because right now i'm not satisfied with the writing and the storyline and the plot there's only six though there's only six movies total so there's terminator okay terminator two which we loved yeah terminator three which we liked yeah terminated salvation which we're not in love with and there's only two more okay that's fine so what that what he's saying is that i would say that we prefer termination
Starting point is 01:06:47 three to Terminator Salvation. Absolutely. So we already disagree with this comment. We do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We already disagree. So we might like the other two better. You asked about Christian Bale.
Starting point is 01:07:00 We kind of discussed that already. We did, yeah. But I thought he was good. He's great. He's always great. You know, he's never a letdown. Love looking at him. I'm glad to hear you think it's aged well.
Starting point is 01:07:11 For us, it didn't age at all. It looked great. It looked great. And we did call that. I, especially. I mean, I think we both did, but I was like, that looks dope. There's a lot of stuff that I was like, looks very cool. That doesn't make a film to me, but I can tell you, good job on that.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Yeah. Captain Ferdinand's, I skip somebody I'll come back. Captain Ferdinand, how many people, nope, many have pointed out that the dystopia in this film differs from the darker, bleaker one we've seen in previous movies. Do you think this was a story choice or a budget one? stopia in this film differs from the darker bleaker ones yeah okay I don't know how this could be a budget one because this didn't look like a low budget movie it didn't that's what I was really trying to reread to be like I don't think it's a budget one
Starting point is 01:08:05 I think it's a story choice and a lot of the choices for me didn't connect yeah and because we're going to the future you got to make it look a little different J. Dell if you were part of the resistance in Terminator Salvation would you trust Marcus the moment you learned he wasn't fully human or would you keep him at arm's length until he proved himself. I always wonder how I'd react in a world where the line between machine and human gets that blurry. I think it would totally depend on who I was. If I was the girl whose life he had saved, then I would trust him immediately. Totally. And if not, then I wouldn't. I actually think it's an interesting part of this movie Tara that we haven't touched on is the fact that the
Starting point is 01:08:40 resistance is actually just is the government. It's all people. It's the soldiers. Usually the resistance is fighting the government right here the resistance is the soldiers and all human so that was kind of something I wish we explored a little more where it's like we did get that there's weird rankings but yeah but like not really all the people are the resistance what does that really look like yeah um yeah so any other thoughts i mean you know i i i don't know it probably would have taken me a little bit longer, but again, for the sake of this film, there was a thing where we actually really needed Marcus, and the girl had already said that he had saved her life.
Starting point is 01:09:27 She's a human. So I'm like, we have a little bit of a, I don't know, who's word against, yeah, that we're like, she's like, well, he saved my life. But Bryce Dallas or whoever says, but he did that just to get here. so I did get here. And I'm like, yeah, so...
Starting point is 01:09:44 You'd be so hesitant with machines. It's dicey. It's dicey. I honestly don't know. I probably would have given it some time, but for the sake of him being like, Kyle Reese, then you got to make a move here. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:09:57 It's kind of like, what do you think he's going to do? He would have killed you if he could kill you. Right, exactly. Pabell, catch mark. Catch mark. Sorry, if I butcher that. Hello, not sure if this is the first time seeing this movie for both of you.
Starting point is 01:10:10 It is. But I remember being fearful. really cold on it when it came out. However, after how much I hated Genesis, oh no. And dark fate. Oh, no. I've grown to appreciate salvation as the one sequel that tried something new instead of old. Robot goes back in time to kill
Starting point is 01:10:26 Arnie must help routine. Did you have a similar experience with it? Maybe once we watch the last, the fifth one and sixth one, maybe we'll like this one better. Salvation really came through. Yeah. Which is sad for us, I will tell you. because, listen, it's not the worst film I've ever seen. No, it's mid.
Starting point is 01:10:45 It's mid. It's just like there's so many things that I think any producer or person watching this screening in their right freaking mind would go, this isn't working. Do I feel something? I don't. I get that you're trying to push us with the jacket over him at the end. We're supposed to feel something there, do we? No. Comes down to character development.
Starting point is 01:11:06 This entire issue of this movie is all about character development relationship dynamics. Like, we just didn't do what we needed to do to make me give a crap. Exactly. And maybe on second watch, people give a crap more because they've lived with the characters longer. So, I don't know. The ADHD overlord, what are your thoughts on the casting? Because this could be the most talented cast in any Terminator movie that I feel were mostly all miscast, in my opinion, do the direction choices. And this really made it hard to buy into.
Starting point is 01:11:38 Rest in peace to Anton Yelchen. taken away too soon absolutely um watching him in this actually made me really sad especially is that one one line about like staying alive or whatever that really really got to me because it was so it was so upsetting when he passed away um the miscast thing i think i mentioned during it brice dallas was super underutilized underutilized helena bomb carter underutilized too um yeah so i think with this script, you have to have the most talented cast because otherwise, I'm asleep. Yeah. And I honestly, I did get tired at some points. I was like, oh, nodding. I mean, I stayed awake through the whole thing. Obviously, you saw me, but I was just like,
Starting point is 01:12:21 like, I roll. It was tough, you know, and I don't, films are supposed to. A little bland. Take you out of your life so much so that you get so sucked in. I know. And this did not do that. And he needed some garlic powder. It needed some onion powder. Tell me about it. Some salt and peps. Some oatmeal cookies on top of it. And that sounds gross.
Starting point is 01:12:45 I don't even care of something. You want with the garlic powder, you want the oatmeal cookie? I was just saying, add it. How would that spices would you do? I know, but then I said on top of it, add like a little cookie. After we do the spices, you could eat it right away. So you eat one meal and then for dessert. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:13:01 Oh, milk cookie. Uh-huh. Yeah, I didn't, but now I do. Now you do. She's got up. caliphant thank you caliphant I'll go back
Starting point is 01:13:10 RIP to Anton Yelchen after seeing this performance in this movie do you think Anton Yelchen would have made an amazing Spider-Man or perhaps the Flash he's really good
Starting point is 01:13:21 he's really good I don't know what he could have done I think that he might have ultimately been too old for Spider-Man or the Flash depending on what versions you're going with so maybe not
Starting point is 01:13:34 but he does have a boyish child He does. I could see maybe the Spider-Man more than the Flash because I don't know him comedically very well. I'm sure there's stuff I've seen, but I, yeah, I mean, R-A-P, man, he is, he's a good, good actor. I definitely think he would have had a massive, he's not a household name now. No, but he would have been. Yeah, I agree with that. He's really good. Totally. Dan V-900 The original ending of the movie Which was shot was John dying
Starting point is 01:14:07 Where they grafted Marcus's face to look like him That way John Connor is able to live on Since Marcus as John is now the leader of the resistance I understand the idea But I'm glad they didn't do it It wouldn't have been well received It wouldn't have been well received by fans You'd think that you would have preferred that ending
Starting point is 01:14:27 So wait so so so so Marcus becomes John yeah because he has the Terminator body inside of him which would make sense that you're like cool let's hate Christian Bale's face put it on the Terminator you live forever we need you forever you're leading the resistance
Starting point is 01:14:44 versus well now you just need a heart you're still human I kind of do think I would have preferred that because I didn't like that the message of this movie was let's just let this guy die because he's partially different like I understand that he's more machine and that he had his time but he's still yeah you're gonna tell me what makes somebody be able to have autonomy and
Starting point is 01:15:04 not be a machine is when they have a heart and a brain and then you're gonna say you're gonna just take his heart for another person at a hard time with that yeah i think uh i don't i don't i know you're saying it would not have been received well and i'm just thinking it's received as that's the thing that makes the most sense it sucks it would suck killing off john connor and i get that they're like Let's find any other way. So that's fine with me that they gave him the heart and now he gets to live on. But what would have made the most sense that I think if John Connor knows in his brain, this has to happen.
Starting point is 01:15:42 Resistance has to continue. He'd probably go, all right, I'll sacrifice myself. You can take my face. I'll become a robot. Can't really die. We're good to go. I do want to just read this last one because it is kind of interesting. And then we'll get out of here.
Starting point is 01:15:56 Thank you to J. Dell for all. also sending in to us, Christian Bale was originally supposed to play Marcus, not John Connor, but after reading the script he pushed to take over the Connor role and had the writers expanded just for him. I wonder if that's a problem with the movie. Like,
Starting point is 01:16:12 they expanded the John Connor role. Maybe John Connor wasn't supposed to be a significant part of this movie. Interesting. And that's why we didn't deal with this baby mama drama or anything. Like maybe it was all, I don't know. I don't know. They didn't have time.
Starting point is 01:16:27 That's why I was already pushing that. two hours. All right. Well, what did you guys? I'm glad to hear a lot of you guys in the Patreon really liked this movie. I hope that we didn't spoil it for you. We tried to have the best time that we could.
Starting point is 01:16:37 It started off really strong. And then from there, we kind of just mid, mid, mid. Hopefully, we like five and six a little better. It's sounding like we might not. We always have other franchises. We do. Yeah, we're really enjoying scream right now.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Catch us on that. All right. Later, Rejects. It started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home, a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage. By the time it was over, she was dead, and he claimed LSD made him do it. His name, David Minor the 4th, and we talked to him.
