Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman: The Secret Service, X-Men: First Class) rewinds the clock to the origins of the secret spy organization. Set during the chaos of World War I, the film explores how global conflict, shadowy conspiracies, and larger-than-life villains gave birth to the Kingsman legacy. The story centers on Ralph Fiennes (Schindler’s List, The Grand Budapest Hotel) as Orlando, Duke of Oxford, a pacifist aristocrat drawn into a worldwide plot manipulating nations into war. Alongside him is Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond) as the fiercely loyal Shola, and Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace, Prince of Persia) as Polly, whose intelligence and resolve prove just as vital as brute force. The next generation steps forward through Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness, Beach Rats) as Conrad Oxford, whose journey from idealism to brutal reality forms the emotional backbone of the film. Starting point is 00:00:00 Oh my God! No! Fudge! This video is sponsored by Rula. More on them just a bit. We're watching the prequel to all the Kingsmen movies that we've been watching. And guess what it's called? The Kings Man. Wow.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Who would have thought? How are you, Andrew? I'm good. I would have thought this movie was going to be called Manas Makeeth Man. But, you know, they went with this title instead. So see if it earns it, right, Tara? How are you doing? Indeed, indeed.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I'm doing all right. We've got our reject things. Look at this. We're prepping. They're comfy. They're loving it, man. We're stoked for the new season. But we're also stoked to watch this movie, too.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Okay, guys, calm down. Let's do this. Three, two, one. South Africa in 1902. Going way back. Well, we were told when they formed it was around what, World War I? Right? Something like that.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Your Grace. Ray Foyne's great actor. Or as Tara knows him as Voldemult. Damn. Oh, wow. Okay. Nice scope. Found the little compound. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Oh, never mind. Found a compound slash graveyard. I'm here on behalf of the Red Cross and I'd like to speak with General Kitchener There is no General Kitchener here Great, let him in Let let him in Looks like this place could use a lot more
Starting point is 00:01:37 Oh wow Thank you partner sir But these concentration camps Are the reason we're winning this war Oh wow That's so bad Oh, Tywin Look at him
Starting point is 00:01:46 A nice in shining armour You've grown a mustache Tywin Took me a moment when that mustache was that Think of a bad boy Time has not been kind here well you'll have to explain that to emily on my return to england it will be my first port of course she's outside why are we here mother do you remember why king arthur and his knights had a roundtable because it was circular it's important that people born into privilege lead by example that's why your father
Starting point is 00:02:13 and i are patrons of the red cross helping others not hiding behind us status of it never forget that it's like a bruce wayne thomas wayne type of quality i like it helping others i'm just going to Take on your father. Stay here, Conrad. Use that wealth for the good of humanity. This terrible war be over, Shola. Shola. King Arthur, and his noble knights were still here.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Of course. And which one would you be? School we saw Mark Strong, Merlin and one and two, who's the bad guy in Shazam, and now we see him. I'd be Lawrence a lot. Father would be Arthur. Mother Gwynabey. And you, the mighty Merlin.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Oh, he just said Merlin. There you go. Open the gates. Bring in those supplies. Emily. Oh, my God. I had a feeling. I was like, oh, my God, are they all going to die?
Starting point is 00:03:07 Because Conrad is in the thing by himself. I'm worried about the wife, too. That's what I mean. Like, I feel like, oh, no. There's just no. Who is doing this? No, not the wife, not the wife. Go back to Conrad.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Oh, God. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She's going down for sure. Oh, no! Oh, shit! God damn it! At least Shola freaking stabbed the crap out of him. She was such a good person, too. Good job, Shola.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Emily, darling, I'm here. No. You have to stay with me. You have to stay with me, darling. Protect us, son. Protect him from this world. No, let him see War. Promise me.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I promise me. You have to give us a gut punch five to ten minutes in. This is a little bit of the opposite of how we started the first movie with Exe losing his father and now Conrad losing his mother. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Kind of try to preserve some innocence in him. Nice, man. Taylor the best suits. Oh, and it said, oh, and one, my mind took me 2001, I forgot we were in 1901. That is a great way
Starting point is 00:04:31 to transition the titles from like an actual labeling of clothes. Beautiful. Nice job. Very inventive. That might be one of my favorite transition into titles because it's from an actual object like that. I'm sure it's been done many times, but I like that one.
Starting point is 00:04:50 That is a lot of staff for a home. You know, Conrad, up there, I feel free. Yes, I'm very, very... I was looking forward to my first solo flight. Couldn't tell you. You don't remember. I remember what happened to Icarus, Conrad, when he flew too close to the sun. Well, I remember him needing to escape, you know?
Starting point is 00:05:07 I think we both see that story differently. Welcome home, you'll be. Thank you, Shola. Aw. Glad Shola's still there. Still there, yeah. But if you're maiden flight yet, Shola? Well, if God wanted man to fly, he would have given him wings.
Starting point is 00:05:19 Yes, I suppose. Kind of like an Alfred for Bruce Wayne. Try father's car. Mm-hmm. You haven't any wheels. Damn, and he has that limp to remind him of, like, the worst, most tragic moment of his life. Mani Watkins, my study in five minutes. Aw.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Do you really think you can keep secrets from me? What do you mean? You've turned down cousin Felix's invitation for Conrad to stay with him in Russia. Hmm. And how do you know that? She knows everything. And we've all noticed that you've no problem with Felix traveling here. But you seem to have a problem with Conrad traveling there.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Guilty as charged. There's all this flying around in. circles made you forget your manners. Manners maketh man. You haven't even offered me a drink. Oh, yes, I'm sorry. Get your shay together, buddy. Fear for Conrad's safety is a weakness.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Fear is natural. The problem is, the more you fear something, the more likely it is to come true. So then we're both in need of a nanny. Huh? So it would seem. Yeah, sometimes when you try to protect it too much, maybe it too much,
Starting point is 00:06:22 wow, we are in great shape, both of us. I also sent Tara a picture earlier, just getting off topic here about Argyle from Stranger thinks out on crazy shape he's in. Can you fight with only one arm? Ah. Oh, yes. If I had someone left to fight. Love it.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Oh my God, you got red marks everywhere. You really think a knife can beat a bullet. This is how people are fighting nowadays. Now, clean yourselves up before this afternoon's appointment. Nanny's got a good shot. I like her. The music sounds like Henry Jackman. My father also brought me here for my first suit.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Wow, same location. Kingsman, world's finest tailor. That's cool. I wish your mother could see you now. She would have been so proud. I hope so, father. I might get more use out of a shooting suit or a smoking jacket, whatever might help in the pursuit of fine birds.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Oh, come on, father. It's a big world out there. Sooner or later, you're going to have to let me enjoy it, even if you don't want to. Yeah, I mean, he's flying plane. You've got to let him do it saying. Had a fear of dangers containing him. Our ancestors, they were terrible people.
Starting point is 00:07:33 They robbed, lied, pillaged, and killed until one day found themselves a nobleman. But that nobility, it never came from chivalry. It came from being tough and ruthless. Back then, to be called a gentle man, would have been a death sentence. Not the mark of honor it is today. We are Oxford. Oh, nice. Not rogues.
Starting point is 00:07:57 I love it. Conrad, this is Morton, my eight cop. Orton, look after young Conrad for us, will you? The one on the left, right? Yeah. No, I've seen him, too. I just can't remember from where. I need you to do me a small favor.
Starting point is 00:08:10 What sort of favor? So you're serious about being a soldier? Oh, yes. Which regiment? Grenad is. When time comes. Contact me. I'll see what I can do.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Conrad's a very ambitious young man. A lot of CGI. cheap, but it didn't look too bad. God dang, they are so high up. I have a Faberje egg made a special for you. I love his accent already. Oh, is that rice?
Starting point is 00:08:38 I'm probably mispronethecyphon. You're probably mispronessing. Take a seat. It's Luna Love Goods Dad and Harry Potter. Trust is having confidence in the honesty of another. That will be our weapon to change the world. Okay
Starting point is 00:08:54 Who do I trust animals? They never let me down And they follow my commands Blindly Can I trust you to behave like them Loyalty without questioning Put them on And you will share in our successes
Starting point is 00:09:12 But break my trust And inside you will find My final gift to you Oh is it like cyanide Do not mistake For Nost For weakness, you late, Russian stag. As everybody knows, the tortoise eventually wins the race.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Slow and steady. My mo in the British government informs me that Kitchener is concerned for the safety of the Archduke Ferdinor. Hmm. Prince, are you ready to prove Kitchener's concerns are justified? You know what it sounds like, Davy Jones from Pirates of the... Caribbean. Doesn't it sound like him? Which I also think he was also in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hells
Starting point is 00:10:01 Part 1 as well. He's the... I think you should come back with me and hear what he has to say. Turning you down is a hard task. That mustache is a vibe. If this son gets shot, it's going to be wild. She's very pretty. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Am I right? Am I right? Am I freaking right? Oh, oh, oh, good job. Good job, kiddo. Oh, that's not good still, though. No, that sucks, but whatever. The job. Wow.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Oh, okay. Everyone's okay. Oh, everyone's okay. Thank God. I'm sorry, but you think you know what the world is like, but the truth is you're just a boy who has no idea what men are capable. He saw watching my mother die. I was going to say what he saw his mother died.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Ha, ha, sick boy. Mars, dude. Oh, it must be, it is cyanide. Okay. That's what happens when you fail. That's his gift to you. You take the first lift. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Oh, no. Maybe I don't need to take this. I mean, the next left of arguing, the sitting ducks here. This car moving, now. They're about to die. Not all of them, but... Oh, shit. Yeah, the guy who came to visit.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Oh, no, no. Oh, God. Awful. I'm beginning to understand what Kitchener was so afraid of. Already, there are rumors the Austrians are mobilizing their army. They don't believe this is. assassin acted independently, and neither do I. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:57 It's just Serbia. I mean, it's such a small part of the world. Why do they care? No, because small things can grow into big problems. True. Years ago, there were three young cousins. The eldest was a real troublemaker. Oh, my such a bad. There are no rules involved.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Oh, snap. They grew up to become Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany, Oh, I love him. Sir Nicholas of Russia, and King George of England. And now poor Ferdinand's assassination has given the monic Kaiser a reason for re-ignite their childhood feud. No. No, it's not. And thankfully, we have our own King George to help keep the peace.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Ah, there it is. It's not the guy who was the Prime Minister in Mission Impossible five. Three young cousins who thought they knew how to rule. Now the soldiers are real. I think it is. And he was in Pirates of the Caribbean, too. Two and three. Get two copies of this photograph made and have them delivered with these letters immediately.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I'll have mortoncy to it personally. Your Majesty. It's not used to seeing him with so much facial hair. His Majesty, my cousin's the King of England, strongly suggests we do nothing. Remember how Prince George used to enjoy it when your English mother and her English doctors would torture you. George would tease you about you. Uh, he's emotionally manipulating him. Deformities.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And don't forget that sniggering at his side, Tsar Nicholas. Cousin George is imploring self-restraint against our other cousin, the Moronic Kaiser. King George has always protected our interests. Why would we go to war over something so trivial? Because we gave Serbia our word. And besides, I hated Kaiser. Hmm. It would be good for his oversized ego to match his undersized hand.
Starting point is 00:13:41 A wise decision, my czar. Oh, no. The soul of Russia is safe in your hands. Shit. Uh-oh. If I want a war, then I will have it. Okay. It would be my honor to volunteer.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Honor. Fine word, John Conrad, but therein lies the problem. Legally, you're not old enough to join up. Oh, snap. It's still young enough to believe it's an honorable thing to die for one's country. The object of war is not to die for one's country, but to make the enemy die for there. All right, LFG. Let's go to war then.
Starting point is 00:14:18 This is definitely a different thing in a Kingsman. movie infusing a real life event like World War I? Jesus! Especially on the front lines like a lot of them are just going to die immediately. Yeah, none of them one maybe makes it?
Starting point is 00:14:34 Yeah, none of them. Okay. What I thought would take a decade for us to achieve has taken two short years. Wow. Look at the mayhem and destruction war causes. Holy junk. Europe's resources.
Starting point is 00:14:50 and millions have died Pointless And this is where the kingsmen are needed You need a secret organization To stop people like this And the inbred monarchs Who only ruled you to their fortune of birth Wow
Starting point is 00:15:08 Do you know who hates King George More than the Kaiser Me, the English monarchy Oh My beloved Scotland for Over 700 years, and it is time for retribution. Okay. Out of our war and unleash the full might of Germany to destroy England.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Rasputin, are you ready to begin the demise of King George? This is... Done. Very similar to Valentine in the first movie, how he had all these political... I don't care. I should be fighting. It's not fighting. It's dying. Much like this conversation.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Tell that to get you. Both sides of the argument. But I know you want to fight. It's a testament to your character, and I'm proud of you for it. Yes, but look what I was given in the village. It's the symbol of a coward. And I should suffer such humiliation.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Reputation is what people think of you. Character is what you are. Of it? You're judged by the content of your character. Victoria Cross. Is it yours? Yes. So you're going to let him wear it?
Starting point is 00:16:19 Like you, I wanted to serve my country. Doing a flashback? But soon I began to question what right we had to take the land, riches, and the lives of people who were only defending. That's a morality crisis when you're seeing what you're taking and what you're doing. Every man I killed, I killed a piece of myself. Yeah, literally a symbolizing thing when you feel like, would have I become? Maybe having a feather would have been better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:48 So the next day, I put down my rifle and I picked up a stretcher. I should have been given the cross for saving lives, not taking them. As soon as I replace this with my own medal, I'll join the medical call. Hmm. All right. I've informed Kitchener of your intention of joining up, and he has assured me that he will not let you slip through. Oh, off you are. To war, kid.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Oh. Oh my God. Boy is a symbol of the soul of Russia. Hmm. You must say, Russia. This is nonsense. You dare to reach your son's life. You'll have come to your senses now.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Oh, boy. It has been too long since we last saw each other, and I'm sorry, I'm only writing to you now. By these difficult times, I'm not sure whom I can trust. Sounds like somebody out of a Dune movie. Welcome there. Huh. harbored my suspicions of this so-called priest Rasputin he has the Tsar under his spell
Starting point is 00:17:53 both spiritual He's kind of like Jafar to the sultan Oh it's opium, got it And has persuaded him to withdraw from the war The Tsar intends to announce this In his New Year's speech All right, we heard about Felix from the nanny Kitchener have you killed so many men
Starting point is 00:18:08 That you're now relying on boys to run your military intelligence How dare you speak to? Shut up Morton What's off in the distance Oh, something coming towards them? Is that him? Oh, shit. Yep.
Starting point is 00:18:26 Uh-oh. Wow. There we go. Oh, he's definitely going to go off the boat. You weren't wrong there. My God, forgive me. Oh, boy. Wow.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Holy Tavalli. Oh, what a shot. See you, Tywin or Kitchener. My dear Oxford, I wanted to apologize for our recent fracker. In my opinion, Conrad is a fine young man. He was betrayed. We must do something. He wrote that before he died. But I shall, of course, respect your wishes and do everything I can to keep him out of harm's way.
Starting point is 00:19:04 I don't believe it was a German mind. There is something more afoot. That's why they operate in the darkness, the Kingsman. There's a need to protect me will not redeem your own failure to protect mother. Oh, dude, come on. That was below the belt. I'm sorry. Follow me. Yep, it's time. Kitch got to him.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I truly love this dynamic. Through a death. Ooh. Rich people have this, Tara. Love it. Let's go. We're going down to the... Weapons room.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Going down to the Batcave. Well, about time. Uh-huh. Welcome to the Club. Love it. See, there's Alfred and there's Batgirl. This war has made me realize that we cannot rely on politicians. to do their job properly.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah. My reputation is of a man not wanting to be involved, which means that my character finds it much easier to be involved. Very good. Behind the scenes. Shola and Polly have gathered a network of domestics while British intelligence listens at keyholes. Our people are actually in the room.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Love it. After Ferdinand's assassination, I visited Guerrilla Princep In his prison, in Sarajevo. Ooh. Nice, nice, nice. Love this, love this, love this. Oh, yeah, no, you and I were such big fans of the hand and the first two. Come on, let's go.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Incip's ring proves he was not acting alone. There is, as you say, Conrad, more afoot. Could have been Marvello's ring. The Saznani found a ring in Rasputin's chambers, identical to Princeps, but with a tortoise instead of a bear. A tortoise. By all accounts, Rasputin is unbreakable. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:20:50 As long as he's alive, the Sao will never change his mind, and with Russia out of the war, England is doomed. Cheesh. The only way to honor the vow I made to your mother. To kill this guy. To break the vow, I made to myself. To allow you to be on the battlefield. I'm afraid we have no other choice.
Starting point is 00:21:07 It is time for us to kill Gregori Rasputin. Ah. The Tsar's nanny informs me of Rasputin's weakness for sweet cake. Dido, also got that. Even sweeter boys. Oh, boy. Conrad will entice Rasputin to a private dessert in the summer room where Lennie's legendary big world tar, laced with poison, be waiting for.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Sounds too simple. Are you waiters or Englishmen? Whatever you are, get me a fucking drink. Are you a monk or a ballet dancer? Tell him. I see you've mastered the Berrioskod. glide. Why don't you glide over there and get me a fucking drink? But it's a long way to come for a Christmas party.
Starting point is 00:21:56 For me, yes, but not for my son. We're certainly a lot more fun than I am in these dark days. Oh, here we go. Your father tells me I like to have fun. Yes, I believe I'm sufficiently open-minded. Oh my God. Most of all, we like to have fun. Like to f-like tiger.
Starting point is 00:22:19 There you have it. Play it off, kid. You can do it. Your reputation precedes you. If you know so much about my reputation, put your leg in my lap. I may be able to fix it. Well, well, well. But here, somewhere private, of course. That looks bomb.
Starting point is 00:22:41 The poison tart. Let's go. Minus the poison. It looks bomb. Blood is life. Its flow is healing, and I can teach it where to flow. I don't think he's going to be able to sit through it. Your wound was fixed superficially and with very poor needlework.
Starting point is 00:23:01 How do we get to the... Oh, okay, good. He knows the smell, though, of the white powder. That's the problem. Oh. Okay, okay. Damn, he is. Like a catatonic state now.
Starting point is 00:23:28 We should turn into him. Mr. Westwood, not your father. I think it's the poison to kill me. No. I, I. Oh. Oh. Why are you here?
Starting point is 00:23:41 I'm here. Because? Because. Because. Because. Because. Oh I apologize
Starting point is 00:23:51 Oh God Your cake did not agree with me We must ice your leg Only two minutes In the cold water And you will be like a new man Interesting Two minutes and you will be healed
Starting point is 00:24:08 You will be healed Bakewell tart Oh What are there ingredients in bakewell Well, die. I have no idea. I'm not a cook. Well, I am.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And I also know what else. Yeah. See, he knew. But then how? No. If you really knew my reputation, you'd know I take a little poison for breakfast. Uh.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Time to die on your grave. Oh, man. This dude is so menacing. Ha-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Oh, I hope not. Nothing happens to him now. Let's go. Wow.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I like how they're staying out in the wide long shots. We can really see the action. Nice. Very cool. Woo. Come on, Shola. Kill this guy. It's like a ballet.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Yep. A Russian ballet, terror. Oh, is Shola going to die? I'm going to hate it. I hope not. I really like him a lot, too. Nice move. Good job, Shola.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Nice. Great choreography. Okay, here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Come on now. No. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:25:49 I was just about to say, I'm worried there's poison, damn it. There is. Shoot me. Oh. God, you only had one bullet. Really? So far, he's. He's like a physical threat too.
Starting point is 00:26:18 He's the most frightening of the three villains so far. Oh. Oh, oh, God. I fix your link. Wild. Which is more than I can say for your son. No, no, no. Oh.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Gonna say he cannot lose his wife and his son in the same film. There we go. Father son fight. Oh, wild. Really appreciate his choreography Oh Cool, cool, cool Oh
Starting point is 00:26:57 Yeah, leave him in the water Fuck you for my new leg Thank you You saved my life He did indeed Saved each other And he mine What about Shola?
Starting point is 00:27:11 Oh, what the shit Just needs to sleep it off How the hell? There we go. Who did that, the nanny? Nice headshot. Why is it that boys are always so messy? It's true.
Starting point is 00:27:30 It's time to go. When my revolution is complete, the flock's laugh will be so powerful. You one problem will be finding my equal to balance from the right. Uh-huh. Happy birthday to you. That's a cool looking cake. Yeah, it looks like a strawberry short cake. Ah.
Starting point is 00:27:54 I'm going to say maybe a smore a little bit, but I'll just have some more of the cake. A toast to our successful mission and my new leg. Happy birthday, Conrad. Many happy returns. I'm sorry, Conrad, but you're asking for the one thing that I cannot, and I will. not give you. Huh. She going to rogue.
Starting point is 00:28:20 You're going to sign up, solo. There are no rules in war, and making England start to death is versus risk. Hmm. Send this, it will mitigate the risk. Are you sure? Yes, my guy, sir. Send this immediately.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Use the Kaiser's top-level encoding. I guess that is a lot of times, too, how it works in politics. Not going to think for yourself. You're just going to listen to your advice. Just a half a cup, please. There's something in there. Okay, listening device, what's going on here?
Starting point is 00:28:55 I'll need a lot more information. Keep your hide on the enemy. What makes the grass grow? I will say he's getting some good training in, right? For, to just looks like a gentleman. Is the eight a cent or is it an R? Going a little mustache. Fellow reject, I've been going to therapy since I believe around 2012.
Starting point is 00:29:26 And admittedly in the past couple of months, I haven't been as consistent as I like to be. Starting point is 00:30:50 That's RULA.com slash rejects. Thank you again, Rula. Take care of yourselves, people. Is this actress the one who was in the first Wonder Woman? She was the doctor or the different factors? He's from Arthur Zimmerman. The German secretary is to do. in Berlin to their ambassador in Mexico City.
Starting point is 00:31:11 One who created that virus or one of them? Germany wants to divert America's attention, so they're asking Mexico to invade America. So when President Wilson sees this, then he has no choice. Woodruff Wilson. Enter the war. And the war will be over. Well done.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Oh, my dear Polly. Well done you. You are incredible. They're going to have a thing because she looks like his wife. Maybe they'll just keep it more professional. My idiot cousin, the Kaiser, has finally shot himself in the foot. You've hit a six with this telegram, old boy, Kitchener would be proud. Well, I think champagne is in order.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Let's get popping. Orlando, you know how many boys' lives you've saved with this telegram? At least let me save one. Conrad wouldn't be happy about that. Now that Conrad's safety is assured to peace in our time. Peace in our time. Good Tony Stark quote. King George is waiting for your response, Mr. President.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Cot to Massive War How can this telegram be real? Not even the Germans would be this stupid. But sir, I'm not doing a damn thing. Okay. Statesmen on the rocks, please. Statesmen, statesmen. Remember from the second movie in Kentucky?
Starting point is 00:32:25 In 1963, it's Dolfo. It's almost like an origin story for them. Ah, yes, Oxford. Lucky man. You've been assigned back to London. There must be some mistake. Fourteen favors the brave, or those under the king's gaze. Oh, there he gave it away.
Starting point is 00:32:44 He's not gonna be happy. Oh. So you're just going to talk to a colonel and be like, or switch somebody's name out or something? Lance Corporal. Okay, yeah. What's your name? Lange Corporal Reed, sir.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Oh my God, Aaron Taylor Johnson? I wonder if that's Aaron Taylor Johnson now. For sure. He had to switch it out. Oh, yeah, he did. Shola, I presume. Yes. Conrad has sent me to see the Duke.
Starting point is 00:33:20 And your name, sir? Good question. That's, uh... I can only tell the Duke in person. Because I've taken his son's name. Like how I said good Tony Star quote with Avengers Age of Ultron. We're an age of Ultron actor here. You're Merlin.
Starting point is 00:33:35 And I'm requesting an audience with King Arthur. I'm part of the club now Doubts persist as to telegram authenticity Idiots and fools There's nothing left to debate Polly Do you think we can extend our network To the White House
Starting point is 00:33:49 That's a tough ask Yes, come in Your Grace We have a visitor Who is it? A friend of Conrad saying he's lancelot That brings back fond of memories Yeah
Starting point is 00:34:04 I'll show him in would you? Lovely. Who are you? Lance, Corporal Reed of the Black Watch, sir? Oh! So then why are you wearing
Starting point is 00:34:15 Grenadier's officer's uniform? This, sir, this will explain it better than I can. Yeah. It's a wee bit surreal, sir. Hmm. Trading places. It's not Eddie Murphy and Dana,
Starting point is 00:34:28 but they did good. Dear father, I too can play games. I've swapped places with Archie Reed, the man in front of you. Hmm. He's a good man. Yes, sir. Who is simply following my orders and is possibly as confused as you are.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Yeah. Tomorrow I finally fulfill my wish to go to the front. Oh, shit. And in the meantime, I enclose a poem, which I thought you might appreciate. Oh, what is it? Knock-kneed, coughing like hags. We cursed through sludge till on the haunting flares we turned our backs. I worry for him, Tara.
Starting point is 00:35:02 And towards our distant rest began to trudge. Men marched to sleep. Many had lost their boots, but limped on, bloodshod. All went lame, all blind. Mm. Drunk with fatigue, death, even to the hoots of tired, outstripped five nines. Oh, this music is really sad and emotional. Lerner!
Starting point is 00:35:30 Come on Lodge! Okay, so at least they're not doing baynets. They have... Come on, man! Come on the man! Let's go, buddy. Who? Come on, run! Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Good effort, man. This war never stop surprising me. A German waving a union jack. What's nice? Uh-huh. Allow me to answer that, Sergeant Major. Fallin! Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:02 That runner was actually a British spy. He was bringing me vital information. Our country needs what he was carrying, and I therefore need six volunteers. All right, Conrad's got to be one. Very good, lad. Hoorah. You five, one step forward? Five more brave volunteers.
Starting point is 00:36:19 That's what. I don't blame for not wanting to run out there. Like did you just see all the bullets flying? Oh. Same idea going after that body? Hold your fire. If they hear us from the trenches will be fired upon from boat. sides.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Oh, hard to see it. Okay, now I see them. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, they're just gonna do hand-to-hand. That way they don't get fired upon from both sides.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Oh, okay, buddy. I'm gonna have a stealthy fight here. Whoa. Okay, nice, nice. That thing is gnarly looking. There we go. Nice job, Conrad. Come on, Conrad.
Starting point is 00:37:30 You got it, you got it, you got it, you got it. Oh, they heard that. Oh, God, oh God. Oh god, oh god, he's gonna use a gun. Run for your lives! Whoa! Whoa! Nice job.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Maybe he's going to get that metal now that he talked about earlier. He survives this ordeal. First time out here, lad. Oh, that's it. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Same side. Thank God for the Union jacket. Oh, shit, his leg is gone.
Starting point is 00:38:20 I'm so sorry. I shouldn't be the one crying. Look, come over here and help me out. I'm freezing. Oh, I can see his bone. Yeah. My father. My father.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Want to me? Yep. Got to make mistakes on our own to see. They're in our ways. And now it'll make sense. You know that this guy has been to war many times. He's hugging a kid when he just got his leg blown off because he knows he needs it. I need to get this to hide command.
Starting point is 00:38:54 The contents could help end this bloody war. Let's go. I suggest you finish the mission and go home to a hero's welcome. Get that medal. No. Off we go to a hero's welcome. He's gonna help you with your leg. Wow, that's a beautiful image.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Give me Apocalypse Now vibes a little. Oh shit. Shit. Oh, God. Don't get shut in the Botox. All right, go, go, go. Whoa! You're all right!
Starting point is 00:39:41 You're all right! Jesus Christ, you're amazing! I've never seen anything likey! Oh, okay. They're just blown in there. What the bloody hell were you doing over there in the first place? He'd better. I'd ask him. He's dead.
Starting point is 00:39:54 He took the full force of that blaster. Yeah. Well, at least you made it back, son. Son. Archie, I was called, but Alche Reed. Archie read, did you say? Yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 00:40:05 He's like, no, you're fucking. could not. Dog platoon, first battalion, the Blackwatch. Aye. Is that your best Scottish accent? Uh huh, ha ha. Lance Corporal Archer reads, a friend of mine. So, who are you?
Starting point is 00:40:16 There's a simple explanation. I'm not Argy. Fucking German Spock. I'm gonna. Oh my God, no! Folloy! Shied. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Oh, God. Polly. Polly. Phenomenal performance. Man, I can really feel I'm breaking down. So they said he was killed in action. I guess they're not going to say it was from friendly fire. My friend, you would not tell to children ardent for some desperate glory,
Starting point is 00:41:02 Delche et decorum S. Uh, that's great. That's some serious bars right there. It's sweet to die for your country or something like that. I, Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov, to hereby declare my irrevocable determination to renounce the throne for myself and my descendants immediately. Oh, so this guy did get him to do it. I wonder what he did or said to convince him to do that. The documents Conrad recovered turned out to be the German ambassador's original handwritten telegram that I cracked.
Starting point is 00:41:35 America will not have to. to join the war. Conrad succeeded where we all failed. Conrad's last act was a noble, one, terror. Apologies, my shepherd, but I have disturbing news. While your plan for Russia has been a great success. America now? My plan to keep America out of the war has backfired.
Starting point is 00:41:53 The American president is about to be given the actual telegram I forced the Kaiser to send. Such undeniable proof could provoke the Americans into entering the war. You're going to slice off his freaking head. I like a man who'll admit to his mistakes, I do. But I like more a woman who can fix them. Okay. Now go on. It's time to show the president who the real boss is.
Starting point is 00:42:24 You can see his face? No, not yet. Okay. I like that we haven't seen his face. I kind of hope it stays like that the entire movie. It's kind of like a doctor claw thing in Inspector Gadget. It's scotch. time.
Starting point is 00:42:37 24 hours a day. It certainly is. I would imagine the relationship he's going to build with Aaron Taylor Johnson. It's not going to replace his son, of course, but it's going to help. I think he's still there. I think he's gone. No, he's got to still be there. For the last time, I don't want any fucking tea.
Starting point is 00:42:55 Neither do I. There looks like you could use a strong one to sober up. Mm-hmm. I'm afraid it'll take more than that, so. Russia's pulled out of the war, the British Embers. The empire faces imminent defeat. America still refuses to join. Really?
Starting point is 00:43:11 The woman went to the White House that he hired from the villain? The Kaiser's blockade is working. The people are hungry. The next revolution might be here. Yeah. I've even been advised to change my German surname Saxe Coburg to Windsor, more English.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Oh. I'm afraid then, sir, that England is doomed. Get the desire to wallop in self-pity, but we gotta do something. For Conrad. The medal for his son. A man who knew his duty. Yeah, he said as soon as he gets that medal, he's gonna leave.
Starting point is 00:43:46 In our grief, I'd say, do as you will, drown in drink. And I'd join you, but he's watching. And he would have been such a better man, but he can't. Yeah. Be the man your son would have been. That's a great line. Really hits hard. It's incredible performance by Ray Finds.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Regrettfully, I can no longer remain in your service. Forgive me, my lady. Polly, I do not accept your resignation. Yeah, I felt that way, too, in the first scene with them. I will accept a very strong cup of tea. He's looking like a gentleman. Looking better, your grace. Feeling better, Polly.
Starting point is 00:44:28 So, what have I missed? We followed your last sober order, and extended our network to the White House. This may be the proof I asked for. But remember my election, promise, out of the war, not in. Douglas, get me a statesman on the rocks now! Another statesman. Someone get Chan-Tatim in here.
Starting point is 00:44:46 I don't know how to proceed. We're meeting to discuss her new demands. I see. And she suggests we make an unannounced visit at 3 o'clock. Oh, I guess you're right, Tara. No Aaron Taylor Johnson. I would have liked to see him have a protege. Please inform the ambassador.
Starting point is 00:45:04 The Duke of Oxford is here to see him. Yes, your grace. Is that his son's scarf? It was... Oh, that guy. He was overcome. Okay. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Oh. So he knows they're working together. Those little pieces together there, buddy. I'm sorry, I couldn't help admiring your scarf. Now that is disappointing. Oh! Oh! Oh!
Starting point is 00:45:36 Nice! Now tell me who's behind this or so help me. You'll never breathe again. You'll love to kill me. Okay, then. Ah, Ambassador. Is she dead? Is that in town?
Starting point is 00:45:51 Oh, I love him. Is that Stanley Tucci? Yes. There's so many great actors in this. What you're looking at is the lady you strangled. She filmed herself seducing the president and is now blackmailing us to not even think about entering the war. Ah. Now, if we can get that negative, then we will happily join England and put Germany out of business.
Starting point is 00:46:13 She's going to put it on only fans. This is Kashmir from the Camilaro Goat. Where does it come from? Mr. Collins, Kashmir book number one, please. Lovely. The only place in the world where the Camelero goat breeds. Excellent. Shola, we're going into the Kashmir business.
Starting point is 00:46:30 I can see six men guarding the lift. If you can call it that. Give the word, and their numbers will be reduced. This is called a parachute. It means that one can jump out of a plane safely. So, tomorrow at dawn, I'll fly the plane over the mountain. We ride it dawn. He said one of you will jump.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Sir, I have to do anything for you. But I can't jump out of. But I can't jump out of an airplane. Exactly. Yes, well, I appreciate your fear of heights, but I am the only one who can fly. But you wouldn't have to land the plane. You just have to land yourself. Yep.
Starting point is 00:47:09 All right, Shora. Get ready for my signal. We go at dawn. Let's freaking go. Okay, cool. Autopilot. Oh, oh. Oh no.
Starting point is 00:47:35 This complicates matters. We didn't want it to be too easy. There you go. Okay. All right, pull that puppy. Oh, God. Just the way he drew it up. Oh, the one he cut.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Oh, smashed into the old side. They can climb mountains, right? Yeah, they're very shorefooted. Oh, did he accidentally take him down with him? Here's your knife. Yeah. There we go.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Hey. Good little foreshadowing for Egg Z and Harry. That would require a lot of strength. Oh, shit. Oh, God. Okay. Cut it, cut it, cut it, cut it, cut it. Yeah, you could definitely tell it's C.G.I.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Yep. Do what the goat does. Oh, my God. There's no way in hell. No way. I'm trying to have to look down as you climb up. That is terrifying. Yep. Do you want, do you know where Martha is?
Starting point is 00:49:29 No, I, I, because I sent her to the American embassy, and she hasn't been seen since. Okay, then. We'll be the last thing on the American's mind. And when the scandal is over, make sure the new president is in our pocket. Oh, boy. All the way to the White House. All the way to the White House.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Better stop this guy. Oh, right, they got Shola and Pauley down. Hey! Oh, God. There's the signal. Get to the lift. You got this. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:50:20 She's a good short. This guy's got to be WWE. Wouldn't surprise me. I always love in movies when guys are shooting weapons and they scream. Oh, no. Okay, let's go control. Yeah, yeah, yeah, hand-to-hand, baby, boo. That's right.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Hang out of the rope. Yeah. Oh. Nice. Is Polly going to shoot from down there? What's she going to do? Shalah! Stop fucking about! Get on that couch, wait!
Starting point is 00:51:12 Let's go. There we go. Holy tamale! Oh, later, dude. The heading? Great, great, uh, thanks, that head. That looks really good. I'll never be the head of the crew now.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Thank God you're here. This plan hasn't exactly gone by the numbers. Uh-huh. Not quite. Holly, do you have the film? I have the negative in my hand, your grace. Well done. Just droop.
Starting point is 00:51:52 Well, I guess if they have that, they got the president in their palm. Enough of dealing the tentacle, solar. It's time to cut off the head. It's good to have you back, sir. nice always have such incredible and inventive choreography in these films
Starting point is 00:52:14 and stylized as well that's right you never leave a web behind I hate it when they do that they know that terror is watching you put a bow and arrow on a tree you go to that tree you take that error out
Starting point is 00:52:27 why? Because you're going to use it again to kill people. That the main baddie dude, the shepherd? You have got to be fucking kidding me. The thorn in my side has just been a peace-loving English rose. You are the very symbol of everything I'm trying to destroy. Harris the cracks like you.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Oh, this is really fun because he has a flare gun and that's how we're going to be able to see his face. Come to puppy, you posh. I've really been patient on holding back from showing his face, so I'll film. Yeah. The sound of silence. The sound of silence. What say we end this shite as gentlemen? After all.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Manors maketh man. There it is, Tara. A gentleman does not. not hide in the shadows. Aye. Is he okay? I think I was right about the flame. Surprise.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Or at least the voice was... Wait, it was him the whole time? Oh, wow. Morton. Ah. The one who threw up on the boat. Yeah, I know. This debate should happen after we have won.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Ah, right. I suggest we go to Russia. We sort out ourselves. And in poor Kitchener's case... See, Tara, I said him. I wouldn't be shocked if he survived off the... Ugh. What?
Starting point is 00:54:07 Oh, okay. As far as I'm concerned, his blood, that's on your glubian. Really sounded like the actor did Davy Jones. You're delusional, and you've killed millions. He's cuckoo bananas, dude. Just a little. Oh. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:54:28 It's only the shoulder. I think Shully can make it. Do you not? Oh, God. Please adjust. Let's go. Let's go. Love how they sped up the frame rate here a little bit.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Really adds to some intensity and flare. Oh, cool. All right. All right. Nice. Very symbolic as he was in the shadows, and so his organization is in the shadows. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Oh, God, that's his bad knee. That's his bad knee. Oh, no, but it was healed. Yeah, it is. It's healed. That's how I forgot. I forgot. I forgot.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Come on. I wonder if Polly's going to get up there, but maybe he doesn't need Polly's help. He's going to win it himself. What do we have here? Fuck this gentleman's shite. Where's Polly? A grenade.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Oh, yeah, that is. Oh, nice. Damn. There's a nice Captain America move, though. Yeah, faster! Oh, are they at the edge? Oh, God. Yikes.
Starting point is 00:55:57 Oh, yeah. The one goat to tip them over. That'd be amazing. Nothing with satisfying me more if the goat pushes him off the edge. It would be a great callback. Oh, good call, Tara. Okay. There we go.
Starting point is 00:56:17 That's some real vengeance right there. Yeah, he's got a bone to pick with you, buddy. There we go. Nice. I'm really glad they wrote that in. Yeah, that was great, actually. Animals, like, have emotion. They didn't remember that shit.
Starting point is 00:56:30 You can't let me. He goes against your every belief. You are a pacifist. Ah, he broke that code. You're right. I shouldn't let you fall. Only now I have become the man that my son would have been. Bars! Let's go, buddy.
Starting point is 00:56:47 Yitz! Wow! I love that he cut him to with his son's medal. Amazing. Sir, are you all right? We've been to worse, your grace. Sir, you'd jump in front of a bullet for me, but not. of an aeroplane.
Starting point is 00:57:02 The airplane sounds way scarier. Thank you, my friend. My pleasure. So, Shola, how are we going to get down from here? Great question. That is a very... We need some parachutes. Well, yeah, because they destroyed that thing, right?
Starting point is 00:57:18 The lift? I'm sure, Polly, he'll be like, I figure out of a way to fly a plane or something. Where they had? Come in. Woodruff Wilson's office? Mr. President. Chef has made your favorite peanut butter or cookies.
Starting point is 00:57:29 Is there something in them? Your secret ends here. Oh, this is going in the fireplace. Get me the generals. We're going to war! There we go. Yeah, going in the fireplace and now we're going to... We're going to war!
Starting point is 00:57:51 It's all because of the Kingsmen. We won World War one. It's all down to you and your fine son, son Conrad yeah and the courage of so many others sir of course yeah if not for the Kingsman organization the world would have ended so many times for ensuring that I didn't meet the same fate as my cousins Wilhelm's abdication was understandable but what happened to Nicholas oh wow I hear you a great personal debt that I still have my crown in that case would you meet me tomorrow at Kingsman 3 o'clock what the world needs is an organization that can channel its resources towards preserving peace oh wearing

If you're on the YouTube, like, comment, subscribe when you do ring the bell ring the bell that were you notified. Thank you to prep for helping edit down all these highlights. We super appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:01:37 These movies have been a lot of fun. Why don't you give like your, like keep it short like a minute of your thoughts of this this film? Time of Terra. One to two minutes. I thought that I really want to see that scene again where Harry is just explaining that
Starting point is 01:01:53 a few moments too egzy of the set of events here that led to the Kingsman just to see now that I have got context but I thought this was a great prequel. I really enjoyed it. I think Ray Fines just added so much emotional depth the vulnerability he showed and I thought it was very fascinating too
Starting point is 01:02:16 that the person who led the that started the Kingsman organization had a pacifist side to him after the horrors of war, and then, you know, he had to break that code because of what happened with his son and then just his ideological way and just, and to save England. It's just really a fascinating story. And I think the father-son dynamic was so beautifully done in this film as well. I know that was one of the things that Tara and I most enjoyed with EGZ and with Harry, that mentorship father-type, father-son type of storyline in the first film and the second one as well.
Starting point is 01:02:51 It was just, I think it was the heartbeat of the film. So, and the action was great. So a couple of times I thought the pacing was, it was really interesting seeing the intertwining between a slow dramatic drama and then the Kingsman energy, but I still really enjoyed this one a great deal. I thought it was a really, if I, when I rewatch this series, it's going to be this one and then one and two, but I really adore this series a great amount. What about you?
Starting point is 01:03:17 Yeah, I really liked it. um i don't think it needed to be two hours 10 minutes i think maybe they could have shaved off 20 minutes right and then it probably would have been like that film's perfect because then the pacing might have picked up a bit um we didn't get as many fight scenes in this but when we did we did still get longer um oneers someone takes with good cuts good master shots where they're actually showing us all of the action which is great um i like that they added in poppy in here female with a good with a good hit, which was a lot of fun. Polly, right?
Starting point is 01:03:53 Yeah, what did I say? Poppy. Yeah, Polly. Anyway, she was great. I thought that was a lot of fun. And I really like how they took him through his journey on losing his son. They take him in the depths of grief, which is, I think, very relatable to a lot of people, right? When he cut to him, he's like to taste, it's another sketch day.
Starting point is 01:04:17 and then he gets up and he's like I'm feeling much better I like that it's just real human stuff that they added in there so I really enjoyed this movie that was a lot of fun we're going to get to our questions first one's from J. Dell if the Kingsman brought in another real
Starting point is 01:04:32 historical figure as a secret villain who would you want Napoleon, Hitler or someone else and why which one do you think Kingsman style storytelling could make the most unhinged and entertaining probably Hitler
Starting point is 01:04:47 Yeah, Hitler would probably be one to do just, I mean, as being a Jew myself, of course I'd want to see, I mean, Napoleon was obviously, you know about him, but like want that outcome just to see the Kingsmen get his comeuppance and do the Kingsmen do this thing. But with Napoleon, he's French, not that we can't do French speaking, and then, I mean, you could always do the whole thing where you have English dubbing underneath, but you could also do the thing where you did, I think it was called Falunel. Was it Valkyry, the Tom Cruise film where you have them speaking German at first and then you immediately go to the English just saying they are speaking German,
Starting point is 01:05:27 but we're just going to make it English for the audience now. So you could do that as well, but I'd be cool with either or if they want to go that route. I think I might have heard that they are doing Kingsman 3 continuing on the series from 2. I think I saw that. Not sure you guys will have to let us know in the comments. but yeah, Hitler might be good. I mean, just continuing on from World War I to two, just seeing where the Kingsman organization,
Starting point is 01:05:52 how it evolved and continued on before we did get to Exe and to Harry. So it might not be a bad idea because if you do Napoleon, that's, I mean, well. So Hitler's really unhinged. Obviously, that would be very entertaining, which is why what you're asking about, Jadale. I think, like, in general, an audience would cling to him.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Hitler and be like, yeah, I would love to see the Kingsman take him out and make him suffer. If there was a way to display that, that was historically correct. Probably not. But maybe to show us, hey, how did we get in his way in between in all the horrors that he was, you know, fulfilling on his end? But what were we doing behind the scenes? I think it would make a really fun story. All right.
Starting point is 01:06:39 Next question. Jaden Rhodes. Thank you, Jaden for being a Roeach, asking a question. The movie is usually overhated. In my opinion, it's a very fun film. I do think the end credit scene is crazy. Did we see the end credit scene? I guess, but I love to gone.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Huh. But I don't think we are getting them. We might need to really quick take a pause to see if there's an end credit scene, just so. Now it's time to address the balance of my new flock. Thanks to you, comrade. Our left hand is strong. Oh.
Starting point is 01:07:11 Our right hand now. Neat strengthening. Come in. Don't be shy. Come, come. My shepherd. It is an honor, Comrade Lennon. And your name, Adolf Hitler. What? Oh, Jesus.
Starting point is 01:07:27 Okay. So they did do that. Yeah. Okay. Jesus. So, you think the end, yeah, the Ed Cranes scene, it is crazy. You would have loved to see how they've gone in Siegel's, but I don't think they're getting them right. They haven't.
Starting point is 01:07:43 E.Z has said that he's down, but there has. There hasn't been any movement on it, but I'm curious if y'all would like to see more sequels or prequels. Yeah, I mean, obviously, I think all three of these films have been really good with great action, especially if, you know, Vaughn is involved with it. I think anybody would be down. Yeah, as I just pointed out with the Hitler thing, that I think that would make sense to continue on with the prequel by going to World War II, seeing how the organization progresses before we get to exit. and Harry, and then I would also love to go to see more adventures with Harry and with Exe. So I think that is the proper way to do it. And I also think there's this fascinating thing that with this dark organization here that we have with the villains where they try to control
Starting point is 01:08:32 all these popular or rather all these political figures to bend to their will so that they can control the world. It's just, it's a really fascinating and dark thing that possibly does happen and it's scary at the same point too and that there is this organization that does not have to deal with the bureaucracy and they get shit done so i i love that this whole series is just so much fun directed really well and just they do a good job on all of the fight choreography and along with the script there's a lot of bars in here especially with this one they add a lot of poems that have specifically that have to do with war especially when he's at the funeral and he reads that one it's pretty it's like a savage bar drop and i i really really liked it sure j rushed in
Starting point is 01:09:21 what up jane would an animated show of kingsman work yeah you could do an animated show of kingsman i mean that with any type of show whether it's animated or live action it gives you a great level of depth you have more time to spend in the world to add world building or just whatever whether it's in the prequel sphere or just more in the present so i'd be open to it having said that i still would like to get a sequel to the prequel and a sequel to the sequels. So I'm open to it. I just want to do the other ones as well.
Starting point is 01:09:52 But what about you? Would you like an animated show? Yeah, I mean, I don't really watch much animated. I'd much prefer live action with Kingsman. The thing with animated is, obviously they can do whatever they want, fight choreography and stretch the bounds a lot more with animated. I really like to see the camera work
Starting point is 01:10:13 and the fight choreography. with live human actors. But that's just me. J. Dell, if you're creating the very first Kingsman code in the Kingsman era, would you choose a title based on royalty, literature, or something completely ridiculous just to throw enemies off? Which one fits your spy personality? I mean, I like what the Kingsman did choose with Arthur in the roundtable,
Starting point is 01:10:38 but you're saying to throw off your enemies, right? Well, they're not going to know your code names because you're, you're doing it in shadow and i mean you're only calling it out when i guess you're in face to face with them but you're probably taking them out so but i like the names that they did with just going to go with awesome sauce yeah so what's your name what's my name going to be you got to make one up oh my god i don't know he doesn't know we're going to give him a second yeah well what would your name what would your name i just said i want to go with awesome sauce yeah oh okay i go okay right Al fans who played Rasputin actually studied traditional Russian dance and martial arts-inspired
Starting point is 01:11:20 choreographies, fight scenes with, oh, wow, would feel hypnotic, theatrical, and historically absurd, just like the real Rasputin's legend. Wow, that's cool. As I was saying while we were reacting to it, it felt like about, and I loved it. He also, in his performance, not only with the heavy eyes and the makeup, which I really loved, too, it made him feel, and just his performance, he felt so unhealthy. hinged and the fact that he could do all this physical stuff too and it never felt like he could die until polly of course shot him in the head right he really felt so menacing and scary and then like being able to just vomit out the poison because he does the poison on his own he gives himself
Starting point is 01:12:00 a little bit so he becomes immune yeah for sure but he's just a fascinating and scary as villain he's probably one of my favorites i was a little i was happy they killed him but i was a little unhappy that they killed him off kind of early in the film. It almost felt like it was a whole film later when we got to the actual main villain. But I would have preferred that they still kept him on in a little bit later. It killed him off a little bit later on in the film. But I hated his guts because he was so evil, but I was enjoying watching his performance. He's one of those villains like, I love to hate him, but I love to watch him.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Yeah. So it was a great performance, though. Yeah. All in all, I think this was a really great film. fun times. I liked the callback with the goat. Normally when I state a lot of callbacks, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:12:51 that would have been cool. And it never happens. This one, they did it. So I'm glad we were on the same wavelength with that. I think this is a lot of fun. And of course, I'd be down if they made any other ones.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Do you have any last thoughts for the people? I mean, just really enjoyed this one too. I think it does what any sequel or prequel does. It's got to justify it. existence and I think using a real life event like World War I and also justifying the existence of the Kingsmen why do they have to be around why do they have to get around the bureaucracy and be there and I think it answered those questions in a very satisfying way for me and I thought again
Starting point is 01:13:32 Ray finds just such an emotional performance like I think the one scene he was phenomenal in the whole film but the one scene that really stood out to me when he was breaking down and showing his vulnerability as an actor when his son passed away conrad and i just i really felt at the end of the day he's just an actor in a scene right but i really felt it coming through the screen and like i my heart was breaking for him in that moment it was such an incredible performance and i'm really appreciative that we get to watch that guy on screen he's so good yeah i'm with you on that uh well we love you guys make sure that you leave a comment leave a like do all the cool thing tells us how cool we are be nice cool kind.
Starting point is 01:14:13 We'll see you on the next one.
