Thank you to Huell for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
We're going to get right into this, though, so here we go.
In F1, The Movie, in three, two, and a one.
A ride.
But don't.
Oh, hold on.
One sec, Aaron.
Appreciate you, man.
Keeping the bell alive.
Yeah.
If you are on YouTube, make sure you.
you do all the YouTube stuff. Don't forget to share the video. Hit the like button, most importantly.
Ring the bell. Ring the bell.
That way you can keep yourself informed and no one of new videos coming out.
Exactly. All special thanks to the fine folks over at Praper for editing down these highlights.
They had to do it so quickly so we can get it out to you super fast. So appreciate their efforts and all the hard work that they do.
Also, if you're listening on Apple or Spotify, if you don't mind giving us a five-star rating, we would appreciate
we're going to just get right into this with
some questions here that we have
so let's get into it from
apologies by the way if we mispronounce anyone's
name it's not intentional of course
tapir chimbetit
as an F1 fan
it feels like the writers struggled
with making the movie accessible for
non F1 fans and also making it authentic
for F1 fans hence
compromising possibly the opportunity
to make the greatest F1 movie
felt they should have gone full of
F1 realism and authenticity more in the vein of rush
and still could have made a crowd pleaser.
Did you at any point in the movie felt lost
in terms of technical aspects of it
as F1 is so technical
in terms of the language used during a race weekend?
No.
There are times.
There are times for me for sure.
I've not seen as many race movies as you guys.
I know you guys were definitely following on
and we're right there with them in the movie.
But yeah.
I like the movie.
I can't say that I love it.
It's in my top 10 of the year,
but I definitely appreciate the performances in the movie
and understand the character's motivations
and love the way that it was shot in the score.
But, yeah, I'd say that's my short answer for that.
I mean, yeah, I don't know a lot about, like, F1, too.
So, I mean, you would know more than me to Pee.
And I just like that this movie was, like,
authenticity meets spectacle,
and it seemed like they were really shooting.
at real Grand Prix events and all that, or F1 stuff.
So, you know, I just think that that grounded the film down,
and that's how we were able to blend the two together.
So I appreciate that they did it just made the film feel so real,
you know, when they were in these races and all.
So, and I personally liked the storyline a lot as well.
And I like just how grounded and charismatic Brad Pitt's character was on top of that.
And I like the relationship building between him and Joshua.
and also too I really enjoyed and I can know I'm going a little off topic in regards to the question I'm just sharing just some thoughts really quick and I also like too that there was no actual villain in this film was kind of more the underdog was kind of the the thing to be tackled in the film rather than an actual villain per se and I thought like the film executed on that nicely and it was a story about redemption and second chances and I just I really enjoyed it I had a good time so I mean you can again you're an F1 one
one fan so I'm sure like when I watch a baseball movie I totally get where you're coming from because
I look at all the technical aspects I'm like he's not throwing the ball right or you know they don't
look like they're really playing so I can totally understand like where you're coming from with
this type of question but I was not bothered by it I thought it felt real enough to me so my
thing's happy is that you said um for full realism and authenticity but your question is that it was
so technical in terms of the language used in a race weekend were we lost
I wasn't lost, which means, but if you were, it means maybe they went too realistic or too authentic.
I actually disagree, because I do think it was an absolute crowd-pleaser, and I definitely wasn't lost.
I liked the way that the cinematography and music came together to make me really feel the speed and the emotion that we're supposed to feel behind each driver and exactly what's happening in the scene.
I really liked it.
Yeah. Thank you so much for the question.
Captain Fernandez, Director Joseph Kaczynski has now tackled fighter jets and F1 racing.
What other high octane vehicles or pastime should he work on next?
Boats. Boats. I want to see him tackle boats. Now, what do you want?
I was going to say trains and motorcycles.
Trains and motorcycles. That'd be cool, too.
Trains. Yeah.
I wanted to say, like, horse racing, but I don't, I don't actually like it because I watch
luck and horses got hurt on that show and I hate that.
So I'm going to go with Crouch Rockets.
Oh, okay. Yeah, but let us know in the comments. What would you guys like to see Joseph
Kaczynski tackle? Because, I mean, the man understands action so well and he understands,
like you said, high octane objects that move at extremely, or vehicles rather than move
extremely fast speed. So, I mean, I love Top Gun Maverick and I love this film as well.
so excited to see whatever he comes out with next looking forward to.
I haven't looked up whatever his next film is,
but whatever it is, I will be there to watch it.
He's a great filmmaker.
And I like Tron Legacy as well.
Yeah, good fun.
All right.
Cody Price, there are rumors that Joseph Krasinski and Jerry Brookhauer want to do a F1
Days of Thunder crossover.
Let's go.
Would you want to see that happen?
Personally, I would love to see it.
And it'd be the first time since interview with a vampire that Tom,
Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt would be in a film together.
So first of all, Roxy and I reacted to Days of Thunder.
Go check out that reaction if you haven't.
We love that movie.
I would be so down for that.
And also, fun fact, the first movie I actually saw Tom Cruise in
was interview with the vampire, and he scared the bejesus.
I mean, granted, I was six years old.
But I still would imagine if I watched that movie today, he'd still be very scary for me.
But I would love to see that those two have incredible chemistry on screen.
And I think, like, the fact that Cole, I can't remember Cole's last name, Tom Cruise's character in Days of Thunder.
He's, you know, got a similar type of story line with that Brad Pitt's character, Sunny.
I mean, you know, they're both in the early 90s as racers.
Grant, I think they're different type of racers.
I think he was more Daytona and that kind of stuff in the racing.
But either way, I think, like, the fact that they're both racers from the 90s, I think that'd be an interesting flow of the story and with their character.
So I'd be up for it.
that'd be a lot of fun. And also the fact that both Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt not only have worked
together in the past, but they both previously worked with Joseph Kaczynski, I think that'd be a great
match. I'd love to see that. If they have a story, for sure. Yeah, I haven't seen Days of Thunder,
but, you know, love me some Tom Cruise, love me some Brad Pitt. So, yeah, I mean, I'd want to
watch Days of Thunder first, but I'm down for it. Why not? Movie night at home, we will do it.
Movie night at home, most F. I think that if you were to say that you didn't want that, I don't know who
you are or if you belong here in this chat or even watching this reaction because that sounds dope as
hell yeah sign me up i really do hope that kaczynski and brookheimer do get together and actually
do that crossover that would be rad as hell for sure thank you so much for the question all right
from jaden roads thank you jaden for being a royal reject for the question this is definitely the
adrenaline rush i wanted this movie kept me on the edge of my seat agreed it's definitely the
Top Gun Maverick of the summer.
I'm curious, which movie y'all might prefer?
Me personally, I think Top Gun might be the better film,
but I had more fun with F1.
Okay, so it's asking if we prefer Top Gun Maverick or this film.
Ooh, I think I've seen Top Gun Maverick twice down.
That's one of my favorite films in the last like 10 years,
and I think it's one of the best sequels in the last like 15, 20 or so.
Again, I really love this film.
It was incredible.
Again, I like the themes of mentorship, second chances.
I like the arc that Sunny goes through, and I also really like the arc of Joshua as well, but I think I'm going to go Top Gun, Maverick.
That's just, again, one of my favorite films in the last 20 years.
Both great, though. What about you guys?
Top Gun Maverick, I think it approved upon the first one in every way that said I'm not, I don't hold nostalgia for the first, and I saw that the first Top Gun as an adult.
I like the characters in this movie, but I don't know, planes just hit different from me than cars do.
But, again, this is still a very enjoyable movie, but, yeah, top gun.
Yeah, and I think the aspect of when you're watching Top Gun Maverick, the scope of that, in the matter of, like, force that they have to deal with in those planes and you're seeing Tom Cruise and all the other actors deal with that, there's such a huge thing in Top Gun Maverick when they're going up and the amount of force that they actually have to train for and take that when I'm watching them as an actor, I'm like, holy shite.
that is it's just a lot and it takes a lot of training
and I do think that Top Gun Maverick was a beautiful film
I was I'm just obsessed with it
I thought it was one of the best films when I saw it
and I'm just like Top Gun Maverick let's freaking go
and I still feel like that's going to be my Halloween costume
again this year even though it's been the same
Halloween costume for the last two years
but my point being is that it's two different animals
and F1 it's just
it doesn't feel as like
risk takey
sort of with your life and that you
could pass out while you're thousands
of feet up in the air. That's not
necessarily how we're looking at it as a
better movie. I think they're just
two different things and I still really
love this movie but I would
have to go Maverick
but that's just that's like
I'm always going to choose Top Gun
even if it's not Maverick anyway.
Yeah they're both great films I agree but
fun fact that's why I grew this
mustache was because Rooster made it look cool
in that movie so let me do it thank you for the question appreciate it
reject nation i have officially lost over 45 pounds this year i'm still working on a couple of
extra goals for body composition development but i'm proud to say i've done it with no injections
no crash diets just pure discipline consistent training and yeah fuel with fuel be i'm
started back in january i was like 218 pounds and uh now i'm averaging between like 171 to
173 and one of the things that's helped me genuinely stay on track with having such a busy
schedule especially now that we have this like office away from my home i got a fridge right over
there that is packed with so much of this hules black edition ready to drink this thing's got 35 grams
of protein 27 essential vitamins and minerals slow release carbs and it's actually a complete meal in one
bottle so i'm not just grabbing a snack i'm really getting some actual fuel myself oh man chocolate and vanilla
They're my two favorites.
So the main staples, and they are to my two favorite ones.
No mess, no prep, just grab, drink, and go.
Legitimately good taste, no chalky aftertaste.
I'm a strict macro plan, and I can fit it into my macro plan.
Low sugar, high protein, super efficient.
I'm all about efficiency.
And flavor selection is pretty good.
My wife actually really likes the iced coffee and the strawberry banana.
And if you can't decide between all the wonderful flavors, they got a variety box.
And if you're anything like me, variety is a treasure.
Best part, each bottle is under five bucks, which is great when you're replacing a whole meat.
So not just keeps your body on track, but your wallet on track, too.
So if you're trying to lose weight, get a funny looking mustache, build muscle, or just eat smarter and try to keep your lifestyle a little bit more efficient.

I don't know why I haven't been saying that this whole time.
I'm all about efficiency.
That's the most efficient way.
Anyway, feel smart, feel good.
Thanks to heal for sponsoring this video.
Little Preach 12, Jesus.
For F1, do you think it matters if the movie isn't completely true to the sport?
Because some F1 fans think that this was a good movie, still gave it 8 out of 10,
but they still thought that this was the sport to do this type of movie
and all the rule breaks are too far.
I mean, I'm not an F1.
I mean, I'm baseball and basketball fan, so it didn't bother me.
So I'm not the right person to be asking this question, too.
But all I know is I was thoroughly entertained.
I enjoyed the story.
I liked the characters.
I love the music.
The cinematography was so immersive and breathtaking.
I love the way they strapped it onto the cars, the way they were able to rotate it during scenes.
It really was one of the most immersive films I've seen this year, even in the last couple years.
just because of how they were able to position
it's some of the best cinematography I've seen in a while
and again I really will be upset if this film
at minimum is not nominated for an Academy Award
just on the cinematography alone
so what about you guys?
Yeah I mean I can't be a fair judge
if it's accurate or not
but I still enjoyed it
you know I think that
you know just me generally as a person
And I feel like, will this quantify as a sports movie?
Yeah, it's a sport.
Yeah, I feel like, yeah, it is a sport.
So, yeah, I appreciate it for what it is.
I do acknowledge that though they're not all the same,
there are elements of familiar beats that movies, like racing movies, do hit.
So I think for that, it's about how well it's executed more so than how it reinvented.
whatever the genre that it's participating in.
So I think for that alone, it doesn't hit me as far as like,
whoa, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen,
but I can enjoy the performances.
I can enjoy the nature of someone being an underdog who rises above.
I can enjoy the fact that these actors have great chemistry.
I can enjoy the way that they shoot this action.
And I can also really enjoy the score and how intent it is
and how well it's paired to what's happening on the screen.
But as far as authenticity goes to what people expect as an F1 fan,
I can't really speak to that.
I can just say that I can enjoy the qualities that it did present.
But at the end of the day, in spite of this movie not being particularly made for me,
I can appreciate it for what it brought to the screen.
And then Joseph Knitsky did a great job.
Yeah, because we were fully engaged, I feel, in all the races.
But what about you?
Yeah, you said the rule break.
breaks are going too far. Here's what I think might happen. If you see it in F1, people might steal the
idea. I do think that they were obviously, we're going to flourish in a bit. This is a prime time
movie. So we've got to give the writers a little bit. If it's like there's still some believability
in the rule breaks, yes, going too far where they're very obviously like, okay, Sunny is really
effing this up to get his, his buddy ahead in the race. I'm not sure exactly.
what would happen. I assume it's the same thing. You get a blue flag and yada yada. Even if they didn't hold
tight to the authenticity in that moment, they're still holding them to it. It wasn't just like,
oh, that would never happen. It was just like, oh, it went a little too far. But again,
we're watching a movie and I don't mind it because I think the point of this movie is not
necessarily always the authenticity of it, even though I believe they did a good job of that,
which is why people who like F1 and people who don't even watch it like the movie,
is because they wanted people to feel what it feels like to like race. And obviously,
the writers are also putting into a couple of characters that, you know, have had a hard time
going up and down. How do we finish this? How do we win this for these characters? And it
gave us a nice like happy ending so i think the film isn't when people come at it of like that's
not exactly what would happen um i'm like you got to give it i think a little more grace because i
don't think that's necessarily the point the point of a movie is to take you out of your real life
exactly out of what you're experiencing it's an escape did this movie let me escape yes
110%
I escaped into an F1
car and I was fly my ass off
and I loved it. Yeah, no, there's
baseball movies I love where I'm like that doesn't
feel authentic to what would happen really, but
I'm enjoying it so much. I don't care.
So, good point.
Thank you so much for the question. All right.
Jay Rush, John. What up, Jay?
Is this your favorite racing movie
or is it Rush or Days of Thunder?
I loved all three of the
movies you just mentioned, Jay. I think I'm
going to go Ford versus Ferrari.
I really love that one,
especially with what I'm also dealing with personally
in my life right now.
Have you seen Ford versus Ferrari?
I have.
I saw it in theaters.
I remember really liking that one in Grand Tourism.
I just think those are my favorite.
I just didn't want to spoil in case you haven't seen it.
Especially with what happened in the end of that film,
it really like emotionally hit me.
And the way they had to like really work,
I think I also liked in that movie about like working through the problem
and working together to work through the problem.
So, I don't know, that movie and the way that movie was shot, like, it's just everything about that movie.
I just, I adored.
So, again, I love all three of the movies here, but I think I'd go forward versus Ferrari.
Love that.
You have one?
I kind of answered already.
Okay.
I got a nerd alert answer for you.
I'm not going to choose any of those.
Any of y'all watch Gone in 60 Seconds on Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie.
I love that movie.
Now, listen, that is, if you have not seen it, which a lot of people have not.
I haven't.
It's a great film.
I would love to react to it with Aaron.
It's a favorite film of mine.
I haven't seen it in many, many years.
But if you haven't seen that film, it's brilliant.
And good old Eleanor's in it, which is the car.
He just said.
And they set up really good relationships in it, which I believe this movie did.
So did Ford versus Ferrari.
So does Days of Thunder.
Everything that you're mentioning sets up good quality character work, the foundation of it,
so that we see them live their life through these high-stakes things that we're experiencing.
It's the exact same thing with Gone in 60 Seconds.
It's more like these people are blue collar and we're going to steal some cars and get them to the finish line.
And it's a fun one.
I still remember seeing that movie with Summer Camp.
We took a field trip to go see that movie.
And I adored and loved it.
I remember it was right around the time.
We saw Coyote Ugly.
Men, 2000.
Oh, good times.
And also the director of that movie, Dominic Sain,
I did one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies
in the next year.
Though, I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure movie.
Everyone craps on it, but I love the movie.
I don't care.
Swordfish the very next year.
Ah, yeah.
Yeah.
Good choice, though, Tara.
I love.
This is God, in 60 seconds.
It's good stuff.
Let's ride.
All right.
Anyways, do you have rotten tomatoes for us?
Where do you get going?
You have rotten tomatoes.
All right.
This is going to be it.
I'll let you go first on credit.
Let's just do one at a time, critics.
Go.
I'll go critics with a 74.
Okay.
Critics, I'm going to go 81.
Okay.
What is it?
You're so close, Andrew, 82.
Nice.
Am I always 1%?
Am I always?
Aaron and I play this game at home,
and you would not believe the amount of times I was 1% hot.
Audience, I'm going to go 88.
Okay, from what I'm hearing a lot on these comments,
like, it's not accurate to F1.
don't listen to the comments
I know no I know I know
I'm gonna go with
79
what did you say Tara
88
Tara's closer

Or we do. Let us know what you thought of
F1 the movie. If you've stuck with us this long, seriously
