Tara Erickson and Aaron Alexander buckle up for a high-octane ride as they dive into the adrenaline-fueled world of Fast X, the latest installment in the Fast & Furious saga. Directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk), this chapter brings back our favorite street racers for another round of gravity-defying stunts and heart-pounding action. The film kicks into gear with the Rome Bomb Chase, where Dom and his crew race against time through the streets of Rome to prevent a massive bomb from detonating near the Vatican, showcasing the film's signature blend of speed and suspense. Jason Momoa's portrayal of Dante Reyes takes center stage in the unforgettable Dante's Unhinged Interrogation, where he chillingly converses with two cadavers, revealing his twisted psyche and cementing his place as one of the franchise’s most menacing villains. Meanwhile, the Letty vs. Cipher Showdown delivers an intense hand-to-hand combat scene between Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and the enigmatic cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron), highlighting both actors' fierce performances. In a poignant twist, Jakob's Sacrifice sees John Cena’s Jakob Toretto making the ultimate sacrifice to protect his family, adding emotional weight to the high-speed narrative. Just when fans think they've seen it all, the film delivers a jaw-dropping moment with Gisele's Return, as Gal Gadot’s character makes an unexpected reappearance, setting the stage for future plot twists. The star-studded cast includes Vin Diesel as Dominic "Dom" Toretto, the loyal patriarch with a passion for muscle cars; Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Dom’s formidable wife and skilled street racer; Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes, the flamboyant and vengeful antagonist; Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, Dom's grounded and resilient sister; Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, the crew’s comic relief and daredevil driver; Ludacris as Tej Parker, the team's tech genius; Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey, a master hacker critical to the crew's operations; John Cena as Jakob Toretto, Dom's estranged brother-turned-hero; Charlize Theron as Cipher, the elusive cyber-terrorist; Gal Gadot as Gisele Yashar, making her surprising return; Brie Larson as Tess, a new ally with hidden motives; Alan Ritchson as Aimes, the new head of the Agency with questionable intentions; Helen Mirren as Queenie Shaw, the wise matriarch of the Shaw family; and Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto, the family’s loving grandmother, embodying the saga’s core theme of family. For fans looking to relive the action-packed legacy of the Fast & Furious franchise, here’s the full chronological order of films: The Fast and the Furious (2001), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019), F9 (2021), and Fast X (2023). Starting point is 00:02:01 Hope to see you there, Saturday Reject Nation. Thank you to Acorns for sponsoring this video. More on them in just a bit. I'm ready to get fast. Me too. I know that there's some, I don't know who, you know who's in this movie, but I know that there's one. I know nothing, John Snow. She's John Snow.
Starting point is 00:02:16 I'm ready to go. I'm ready to be fast. Tara? Furious! Let's rock. Okay. All right. The last one, everyone's coming together.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Wow. Jason Statham, he's the Thanos of the Fast Universe. Wow. Woo, that's wild. That's fast. We're in it. I was furious. That was fast and furious in family and finances and faith.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Wow. There's a whole thing. It was a fast five right there. It was. Dang. Okay. I think it's safe to say. Yeah, let's turn down that volume all the way.
Starting point is 00:02:54 I don't know what. I don't know. I don't know what post credit scenes can. be after that but i don't think there is i don't think that's it i only can top the rock coming back yeah he's grizzled too he has a gray beard now yeah that's um that's an experience guys if we're listening on our apple and spotify we just washed fast x it was five stars for all all five f's how do you feel now oh i feel i feel alive i feel like i can defy gravity um hold the wicked I feel like I can do anything in this world if Dom Corretto can and all of his family.
Starting point is 00:03:35 That was, I don't even know. I feel a lot of things because do I feel like this was better than Fast 9? I don't think Fast 9 is a good movie, but Fast 9's stupid and like the best way possible. Weirdly, I'm like, as far as like pushing the limits goes, I don't know if this one like surpass that one, but as far as like the convolutedness goes, it might be on the same level. Yeah, it's kind of the same, I think.
Starting point is 00:04:07 It's kind of crazy. Yeah, my gases are flabbard and I'm ready to talk about it. Tara, how are you feeling? Yeah, I mean, I just, I'm just wondering if the submarine with the ghost of what's her name who's not a ghost she's alive she never died
Starting point is 00:04:32 very much alive because they showed us that the submarine goes to save them in the water maybe the rock saves them maybe that too because they set
Starting point is 00:04:42 up the whole thing with Jason Statham and like your mom's in danger and then you're like oh we gotta go and then we didn't touch them again we never got back to that
Starting point is 00:04:50 I forgot about that yo there's so much happening in this movie this is a dense movie this probably the most dense of all of them thus far also all the ones in the plane that reach your we i mean our assumption is that they died right our assumption is john seen is definitely dead uh and then the three of them that were in the plane are all dead no but of course they're not they'll come back alive it's fine you know why
Starting point is 00:05:14 because they saw like the engine get shot out and they showed the the plane around the corner around the corner yeah they're gonna be like we parachuted out of the car it's fine i do agree that the is about maybe the same level as nine. Except nine was a little bit more meta. They made fun of themselves a little bit more. For sure. This one still definitely hit it. They were like,
Starting point is 00:05:39 Reacher said it in the beginning. He's like that they can defy all odds and like, I don't know, die and come back to life, whatever he said. They're obviously still very aware of what they're writing and setting up for us, which is good because otherwise we'd be like, what in the actual F,
Starting point is 00:05:55 even though we're still a little bit like that. which is okay because it the movie is still they're fun they're just like insane where you're like and they keep this one though specifically kept going and going and going with like the sociopath you're like he has a plan and then you're like he has a second plan then he has a third plan on the dam then he is a fourth plan right with we're going to gun down a ship then he has a fifth plan to blow up the day. I'm like, dude, how, like, are you kidding me? Like, you didn't, you're such a sociopath that my assumption would be, you know that you, you steal the kid and you blow him up and like, where did you get the semis? Did we plan on that? How, it's a lot, it's fine. Listen, we can't
Starting point is 00:06:45 make sense of it. Period. All we have to take it for is that it is fun. Got to love the stunts from the bomb on fire gets hit. multiple times doesn't blow up. It's a strong bomb. Very strong bomb. Okay, we did good. We got it in the water. People were saved.
Starting point is 00:07:03 I like that they added in. The sister came back. It gave us a little bit of like, well, we do have to fight for her once we find out, you know, it's her sister. And I like that, you know, I like the Captain Marvel was in this. That was, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:18 Brie Larson was a little bit of a surprise working with Reacher in this. And then there was a lot of cameos in here. Helicamios. It was, and that made it fun, too. And Brie Larson, you know, she's a great actor. There was just, that's a lot of plots. You have to think about, we have the plot with Richard.
Starting point is 00:07:35 We have the plot with Brie Larson. We have the plot with Charlese and Michelle that they apparently were like, we have to have them fight. That fight sitting in there. That's fine. And then we have the whole thing with John Sina and the kid. And we have Dom. with his counterparts.
Starting point is 00:07:56 That's like eight different plot points. There's a lot. It's a lot of plot points. There's a lot going on. It's fun. It's adventurous. It's a good time. It's fast as fast as a furious franchise.
Starting point is 00:08:07 We don't come here, especially after nine for it to make sense. So I'm settled in. I'm settled in. I'm not even going to try. I'm just going to say good times and I'm here for it. We're settled in. We're buckled in or buckled up.
Starting point is 00:08:23 this movie was a trip and a half I think that it was wild you know we had a lot going on it was fun to see these characters again I think out of the 11 movies we've watched in this franchise good God
Starting point is 00:08:38 he is the most fun villain Jason Jamesamoa I agree yes I think he's the best villain out of all of them because it's just so ridiculous and so loosey and eccentric I'm like yes let's give us more cartoon villains in the fast franchise.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Let's give us an antagonist who's just as crazy as the plots that we're having our characters in. Yes. So I loved all of that. I think on a nostalgic level, I like the fact that they found
Starting point is 00:09:08 like a Mickey jickey way to kind of tie all the things together that we've seen in all the other movies. Yeah. And even though it was like super dense, I'm like, this is like a freaking 14 layer lasagna, buddy. For sure. He's a thick boy.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Yeah. You know, it was a good time. I felt a little numb at some point. It's not going to lie, but, you know, I was, as we got to the finale, as we see all of our characters doing what the characters do, I was like, yeah, what, I'm here. This is fast X. It was fast nine. This is fast X.
Starting point is 00:09:39 You know, we're here for the most ridiculous things that could happen. I, we have left the realm of reality. Absolutely. As we know it. I need to see in the finale, we need to go the biggest we can or go the biggest we can or go the freak home. We got to get some dinosaurs in here. We got to get some transformers in here. I needed that car to turn into a boat.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Come on now. We needed that car to turn to a boat. I want to see the Rock, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Jason Mamoa, all fighting in the sky. We're going to have a fight scene happening midair from thousands of feet in the air and then we're going to
Starting point is 00:10:19 land on a bounty house and then hop into some cars and drive off. until somebody eventually dies and not really dies. Absolutely. I agree with that. I need it. I need it. I don't know what's happening,
Starting point is 00:10:32 but I'm excited. I'm here. I feel energized. I think the numbness that you're talking about, it like comes from where I think back where I'm like, it's still, I get that we have to keep going outrageous, outrageous, outrageous,
Starting point is 00:10:44 like we've done so many that you're like, well, how do we top it? Oh, yeah, keep topping it. Like with just like stuff that's just, out of the realm of reality. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:54 But I think I would love to get back to where it's, it really is a story about heart, friendship, family. And then there's some racing in there with a little bit of film stuff. But I'm like, I don't think that there, I don't think that's what they'll do. We already saw that there's going to be a fast X, like part two, right? Yeah, fast 11. I just think it would be cool. If, let's say for 12, they're like, let's go back to the basics.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yeah. I don't know if they're due at 12. I think it's going to be a two-part finale, but it feels like 10 should have been like the even thing they ended it on. I know. With, you know, nice little 10, you know, but it's, it's okay. We're here. It's fast X. And yeah, I did feel like a sense of numbness like going into it because I'm like, okay, we've seen this.
Starting point is 00:11:44 We've done the bomb thing because, like, when you're doing the biggest hits, I feel like you have to top the biggest hits you've done. But I don't feel like they did it. I feel like it was all the action and all the spectacle without the heart and character to be coupled with that. And I feel like we just had so much stuff happening. It was hard to really find a sense of grounding it and care. Partially because the plot didn't allow for that. But also we've just seen them do and survive so much. You're just like, they're going to do anything.
Starting point is 00:12:12 They can survive anything. But I think that's also part of the fun. Seeing how much crazier and out of the bounds of reality this thing can go. but you know i i do miss that i do miss that that that that heart that they had i i can say that i i think hobbs and shaw is up there for me because i found a good grounding between the action and the comedy and those two things worked well together but i feel like the last time i felt like emotionally like gripped by these movies is probably seven because when paul walker's last movie yeah even though i've been enjoying them i'm having fun but i felt like
Starting point is 00:12:51 you definitely could feel a shift in quality after seven. Yeah, lost the heart a little bit. A little bit. But, you know, I'm still having a good time. I'm still enjoying these actors have fun against each other. Some of the action scenes,
Starting point is 00:13:08 because I feel like when you're watching something traditionally, and you can correct me from wrong on this, but like their action should do like kind of like musical. Should do one or two things. Propel our plot forward. give us, like, some sort of visual storytelling to, like, get us more endeared to our characters. But some of the action just kind of just happened. Like, we're going to stop the movie to have an action, so you have a fight.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Like the fight between Charleston and Michelle. That's exactly what that was. Exactly. And it didn't get us anywhere. It just was like, oh, we want to see him fight, obviously, in this script. Yeah, also the scene where Tess and Roman just fought when the guy ate the mushroom, yeah, you're right. The muffin.
Starting point is 00:13:48 And like, okay, we just was tripping on a muffin. We just never went back to that. I'm like, okay, you think that'd be like some sort of important. But like, yeah, the movie just kind of just, a lot of things just kind of happen. But, you know, I don't think this movie was meant to be hyper-analized like a fiddle. Yeah, obviously not. Right. This is just very much a blockbuster, turn off your brain type of experience.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Except nine had more callbacks. Did it? Fellow rejects the other day, we had one of those. days where everything just piled all at once. Our back studio flooded. It actually flooded. And in that same exact time frame, we got hit with a bunch of copyright claims. Suddenly, it's just one day due to everything. I just naturally became stressed about finances. This is a real thing that happened. This sounds like it's made up, but it's actually not. I just think where I started like checking where some of our financial stuff is. And then I actually opened my
Starting point is 00:14:43 Acorns account. And it was this huge relief to see that if I needed to, I had enough built up. up to cover everything. Just knowing that we had that safety net, even though we didn't actually have to touch it, it actually made all the difference. And that's why I love this freaking app Acorns. Because let's be real, investing can feel overwhelming. Like I know plenty of people who invest, but even with all their advice, I used to feel pretty intimidated by the whole process. Like where you start, how much you need. Then there's that myth that you need a ton of money to begin. That is actually why I gave Acorns a shot. I know these can sound like just talking points, but this is weirdly all true. It's an easy automated way to start.
Starting point is 00:15:20 start saving and investing for your future. And you don't need to be an expert and you don't need a huge budget. One of my favorite things is that they let you invest like spare change from everyday purchases. So your money starts working for you without you even thinking about it. There's so much to love about it. It's effortless. Acorns rounds up your purchases and automatically invest the spare change. You don't need a lot to start.
Starting point is 00:15:40 You can begin with just a few bucks and over time it builds. And from my experience, I would say that there's smart expert built portfolios. They recommend investments based on your goals. not just guessing. So if you're like me, where you've been putting off investing because it feels complicated, I genuinely believe Acorns actually makes it easy, which you can do to help support the channel, but more importantly, help support yourself. You can head to Acorns.com slash Rejects or click the link below to start saving and investing today. I'm also going to say this because we're talking about money. Payne on client endorsement. Comptation provides
Starting point is 00:16:09 incentive to positively promote Acorns. Tier 1, Compensation provided investing involves risk. Acorns advisor LLC and SEC registered investment advisor. Newport disclosures, Acorns. Thank you. I mean it had a few i remember and this one this is callback of the movie i feel like this like half of this movie is callbacks not not in dialogue okay fair right not one in dialogue just as you were talking i was like did we even have one we did we did we had some callbacks we had the the beer thing oh the belgian beer but i'm talking about when you say a line of dialogue i mean i guess we get they did with the faith stuff but like in the ones further we had sort of joke where it's like with the keys where he gives him the, he gives the kid the keys of the car
Starting point is 00:16:54 where he's like, you take it. There was some sort of line of dialogue in a lot of these past movies. That's a good little quip of dialogue that it comes back and is a good callback line. And this one we didn't really get it. Where am I cool, I guess we did with a kid with flying? I suppose. That's our callback. Okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:17:15 I figured it out. we win yeah oh my god sorry i interrupted you but i was like oh the callback thing they have done that so well in the past movies they had a lot of them especially with like brian and and and dom and stuff but like we didn't have as many here hmm this movie yeah this movie is kind of i mean i even know what to call it it's just like yeah man i i part of me was like what i watched this in 40x but i feel like be too crazy to watch in 4 days you've ever been a movie like that with the seats move i i haven't been i don't think i don't think you want to do it for this one i think you're nauseous yeah there's a lot going on too much yeah i know we were kind of not doing trivia because we want to get spoiled in anything
Starting point is 00:18:02 but i think you got some trivia up in front of you i do how many times do you think the word family has been said in this film this film alone yeah just this one i'm say 32 times I'm higher or lower? It's higher. Seriously? Yeah. Shut the front door. Go higher.
Starting point is 00:18:25 45 times. Higher? Family. The word family alone in this movie. 52 times. 56. Wow. What the freak dude.
Starting point is 00:18:37 And guess the fight scene that was filmed without a director. Oh? Was it the one with, uh, With Pej and Roman. No. Was it the Charlese one? Yes. Why?
Starting point is 00:18:52 Exactly. She flies out of a window. Are they just like saying like, oh, the stunt coordinator was there? And they're the ones that directed themselves all the time because they've been in all these movies. They need to write more on that because I'm very intrigued. That's Wackadoo to me.
Starting point is 00:19:09 When Jacob tells Little Brian that he has friends in high places that were likely a nod to Paul Walker because his daughter Meadow Walker, plays the flight attendant who assists them on their mission. Oh, that's who that was. That's cool. Because she was random as hell. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:26 I love that. Okay, what do you think the budget was? $250 million. That's very close. So guess what they reported the budget to be? And then guess how it actually, like how much it actually costs? So what did they report? They were like, okay, what do they report?
Starting point is 00:19:51 I'm going to guess they reported like 280. Yeah, good. But it actually was $340 million. Jesus Christ. Crazy, right? It making FastX the most expensive entry in the franchise. I would not be surprised by that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:07 I would not surprised by that at all. Wow. Oh. Oh. Oh. On November 7th in 2021, then Diesel posted a picture on Instagram of Dwayne Johnson about ending their fight and trying to bring him back to the Fast family for the last chapters.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Ooh. That is the T. Wow. That means Finn was like he probably looked at the numbers from because he's a producer. And if you look at the numbers that the, that the rock is in, you're like, yeah, why don't we end this like silliness and like, bring him back? because I remember him saying he would never come back to those fast movies
Starting point is 00:20:50 so that's interesting that they were able to patch that up yeah that was like a major riff I haven't seen these movies prior to us watching them but I remember just like the movie news like guys of how big their riff was between the two of them so I'm happy that he's back because this franchise has needed him quite frankly I feel like that you felt his absence
Starting point is 00:21:08 in the last two yeah last three shit dude Vin said later that Fast 11 will be the final part of the series Yeah, that sounds right. I'll read one more. Oh, man. I'll read one more. Actor, um,
Starting point is 00:21:22 Kang suggested that fans start a hashtag campaign like they did with justice for Han to bring back Galgado's to sell for this installment. So maybe that's why? Like they brought her back. They never showed her body. So I'm like, of course she's probably going to come back. Like, yeah, there's, there's a bunch more trivia on there, but like. I guess Han doesn't need to go on, um, um, uh,
Starting point is 00:21:46 Tinder after all. Yeah. Or whatever dating's like. This is his girl's back. His girl's back. Back from the dead. Oh, that's crazy. Wow, man.
Starting point is 00:21:55 Wild. I don't know when Fast X or Fast 11 is coming out. 2026, it says. You think you're going to call it Fast Forever? It's titled right now is Fast X part two. They should not do that. They should be fast forever. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Something that feels like definitive. Yeah. It's got to be right. The Rock. We've got to. state them we've got to see all of them everybody's coming back nobody's dead nobody ever died they all got to be in it and if they're in post production if it's supposed to be due in 2026 that means they're already in they probably already started filming so that's exciting that's very
Starting point is 00:22:36 exciting um freaking a who knows what's gonna happen yeah i'm i'm we're here for i'm i'm gonna go drink some gnaz after this totally that's here you got any final thoughts before you get out of here i mean share some nos i'm good all right i'm gonna share that nos you guys you guys get some nos to x fast x fast family we're gonna be out of here we love you guys we'll see you guys the next one doses stay fast riley peterson riley here's something's gonna work riley i'm gonna guess what the name riley means john's gonna guess what the name riley means whoever is closest wins the round very simple. Riley. Riley. I'm going to guess
Starting point is 00:23:17 empath. Oh, okay. I'm going to guess spry and energetic. Rebasin this off any characters named Riley. Are you basing off the character from inside of that? Yeah, but I don't know why I went with empathetic for that because I think the movies and empathy stars was Riley. Anyway, okay, let's go. Hitting enter, Riley has multiple meanings and origins including woods, clearing, and courageous. Dang. What did you guess?
Starting point is 00:23:44 I guessed. What did I guess? Energetic and, like, lively, I think. So, uh, I guess you're closer. Not quite, but valiant. You're also valiant. That's fun. Uh, it's a gender neutral name. Often used for both boys and girls. Yeah. And pets. Uh, the name is popular in many English-speaking countries, which tracks. So, uh, I think you're definitely, if we had to associate a word to that, it would be yours for sure.
Starting point is 00:24:10 You know, uh, I'm glad to have won your name. And thank you for contributing to my overall massively impressive score.
