Everyone, shut the time we're going to be on the stream. This schedule's down below.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Keep a lookout. The schedule is down below. All right, Freddy and Jason, here we go. Wow. That's wild. He's going to text Andrew. He's been, won't leave us alone for the last little bit. Oh, Sean Cunningham, you love to see it, Tara.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Listen, how are you going to pull that out when we just finished Freddy versus Jason? Give me one minute of a reaction first. I just had to text him. Just give me one second. We've been waiting our whole life for this, and that's the first thing you do? I just felt bad because Andrew was trying to get in here. He could have just came and sat in here, but he just kept trying to talk to me through the window. We just watch a huge movie, be with me here and now.
Starting point is 00:02:18 What do you think? I just don't. I'm confused by the wink at the end, which I did think was really funny. I actually really, really enjoyed this movie. All the actors were really good. You were right. name is Jason Ritter. Yes, good job, rocks.
Starting point is 00:02:32 All the actors are like, they're prime time, and I really enjoyed the story, like, a lot. And especially at the end, it was almost as if it did not become versus. It was like, Jason was helping the kids survive from Freddie, and now as he's, like, walking out of the lake, it's like, they're buddies. And I'm like, all right. Did it seem like buddies to you walking out? Not buddies. He's holding his head.
Starting point is 00:02:58 He already chopped off most of it. of his body but I don't know they to me I'm like y'all got close in trying to kill each other that's what I felt like I'm like y'all you all formed a bond in trying to kill each other I don't know why I feel that way because obviously not they're still going to want to kill each other at all times but um yeah I mean I really enjoyed myself I thought they did awesome a really good job of the makeup and um you know like the practical effects looked awesome and the cg i didn't didn't really bother me much they did a good job with that too i think that this movie was so good like i because everything not it's not like everything we've
Starting point is 00:03:44 been watching it in smaller budget but this just felt monumental it felt like they put in the tlc for both fandums it was equal freddie and equal jason yeah it was so cool to see them interact when it because it's versus even though it takes an hour and a bit to get them to go against each other right like we got multiple fights between them i really cared about the characters like i just thought that they did such an iconic job here i got to look some things up i got to give us some i got to give us the as you say juice yeah look up some trivia um let's see what i got for you yeah okay I was trying to think of like the dream stuff like how all the kids were together in realizing like yeah it is Freddie and he is back and that it was a little different in this one that the sheriff even knew like it's Freddie he was like we don't say his name out loud I liked that aspect of it that everyone really was on board that it was actually Freddie and that it was a kid's idea to like set him up with Jason. I have to tell you something.
Starting point is 00:05:01 I have to tell you something. Yeah, go, go, go. I have to tell you something. Wow, what? The person who directed this movie is named Ronnie you. Ronnie you directed something that you and I are obsessed with, which is bride of chucky. Wow, that is so fun. I'm obsessed with that.
Starting point is 00:05:27 So he did Bride of Chucky. and then he did this after he did 98 bride of chucky this was 2003 wow we love Ronnie you and we didn't even know it that's awesome I love that that's amazing that's great that Sean chose him too as the you know like Sean Cunningham's name is all over these he made a good choice choosing you the girl that we really liked Lori is named Monica Kina um she was in Dawson's Creek which I never watched. Did you watch Dawson's Creek? Maybe a few episodes.
Starting point is 00:06:02 I don't remember. Okay, I didn't watch that. She was in 40 days and 40 days and nights. She did six episodes of Beavis and Byhead. That's cool. Three episodes of Private Practice. I would have thought after this, she would have, two episodes of Great Anatomy,
Starting point is 00:06:17 tons of shows. I would have thought after this she would have been like a megastar. I thought she was so, so good. Right. Yeah, I agree. so so good this jason wasn't our most recent jason this jason was ken kursinger um who is not our uh the not the other guy i forget his name but that's not that we've been liking recently yeah jason ridder okay so i did get that the girl uh kane hoder was the old guy kane hoder thank you
Starting point is 00:06:46 katherine isabel is the other girl like the drunk girl who ended up dying oh yeah she was good um she was really good but also same thing like none of i just think that so many of them were so so good in this like the best group of actors Lockland Monroe was the blonde guy that we were like oh we knew him for sure the cop yeah he was in scary movie
Starting point is 00:07:09 white chicks uh night of Roxbury done a million things so okay all this cast works they all book they all be out here doing the damn thing let me get you do some trivia let's do it here we go according to Robert England
Starting point is 00:07:22 his Freddie makeup was so thick that he couldn't tell how hot it was from the fires during filming. When he got in to have his makeup removed, it had bonded itself to his face. Oh my God. No. Ouch.
Starting point is 00:07:40 The final film in which Robert England plays his role, the role, Freddie Kruger. Yeah. Yeah. That songs, I want more. Yeah. I love him. James Wan was originally going to direct this film.
Starting point is 00:07:55 It was already committed to directing Saw 2004 and was too busy with other film projects. Standing at 6'5, Ken Kursinger is the tallest actor to date to play Jason Borges. He did seem huge. Yeah, he did seem very large. This is the first Friday movie not filmed in the United States, and the filmmakers had to search for a new house
Starting point is 00:08:15 that would resemble the famous Freddie Cougar, Elm Street House, from the first seven nightmare films. Yeah. The biggest problem that occurred on set was a fight between director Ronnie Yu and Catherine Isabel, who played the drunk girl, Gibb, who had signed onto the film on the promise that she would not have to do nude scenes as she has a strict no nudity clause in her contract. During the shoot, you went back on the promise and repeatedly tried to pressure her to get naked, eventually settled on using a body double. That makes me not like Ronnie. That's gnarly. It was in our contract. We don't go past that. Once it's written down, you don't bug him about it. You have plenty of other nude people in this. Even if it's in your contract. Otherwise, she said she didn't want to. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yeah. But she said she didn't want to a long time ago. And you put your name in the contract saying, okay, no nudity, great move on. But you bring it up on set. That's unprofessional as hell. Bummer, because he did Briot Jackie, too. Yeah. While several journalists and television hosts have tried to embarrass Kelly Rowland over her role in this film.
Starting point is 00:09:18 What? She's always responded by saying that the film was a hit and she enjoyed making it and therefore has nothing to be ashamed of. what are you yeah like everybody needs to calm down and stop being judgmental prick she did a great job she was so good so good the lake at camp crystal lake was also being used to film the final scene for x2 xmen united didn't you just watch that uh i don't know which one i think we're on four now i don't know i forget the names of all of them three okay um at the same time this movie was being filmed the two film cast even stayed at the same hotel brian singer got to appear on set during Jason's first kill to see Jason's costume and commented they got the makeup
Starting point is 00:09:58 right. Ah, love it. Robert England was excited at the casting of Catherine Isabella's Gibb as he was a big fan of her cult film Ginger Snaps as a Canadian werewolf film. I've heard of that, but I never saw it. I never seen it. I need to know, you got to talk to the people because I need to know was that Evangeline Lily?
Starting point is 00:10:19 Oh God, that's so funny. You can look up was Evangeline Lilly and I. extra in background Freddy versus Jason yeah I don't think there excuse me I am not I and if you saw me on during this movie you guys
Starting point is 00:10:33 know I've been on a switch meds but I'm doing a lot better it was her she didn't interrupt you during it was her she had a walk on role as a high school student you knew it was her I saw I was like that's Evangely Lily that's so funny it's so crazy about that is what a great lesson to you and me
Starting point is 00:10:49 like yeah just keep at it also crazy because Evangeli and Lily, regardless of how you feel about it, it's one of the most beautiful people that's ever been seen in life. Totally. For every background, I was immediately like, that's our... Yeah, absolutely. Zeroed in. She's hard to miss.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Damn, girl. Okay, so did this live up to your hopes and dreams and expectations? Yeah, I think that with all of the showdowns between both of them and how they brought back a lot of OG stuff, like one, two, Friday's come for you, and then the Jason's stuff, the mom comes in, and then we combine both of the world, including the lake and the freaking boiler room where Freddie was burned. Like that is just classic bringing both of the movies and all the stuff together.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Excellent. Where do we go from here? Good question. I don't know. Are we like done? No, I don't think. I think there's more Jason stuff. Really?
Starting point is 00:11:40 I don't know. Wow. You guys tell us or don't. Tell us whatever you're feeling in the comments. We want to know. Thank you for doing this journey with us. Yeah. We've done so.
Starting point is 00:11:49 We've done purge. We've done Chuckie. We've done Friday. we've done nightmare we are like your horror horrors your stream queens we are absolutely loving this thank you for embracing us as much as we are embracing this genre yeah don't forget reject nation shop.com also the sweater that she's got there um these are just like the freaking best so go get them and also if you're not a crop top wear comes in a t-shirt as well it's the softest t-shirt ever comes in blue and black and it comes in black and white for the crop uh we love you mucho
