Starting point is 00:01:34 more on them after the reaction people On the count of three you ready for this? I'm ready One, two, three, ah! Okay, I have some very important things to tell them. Wow, very important.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Number one, Paul, Gordon, Mom, Tommy. A hundred percent. Because nothing else matters more than Paul Gordon, Mom Tommy. we're like living for that it's the best number two uh if you want to be a true she jack and you are not yet well you're a sheject if you're just watching this but if you really want to wrap and support you have to reject nation shop here's also i've been being asked this and just to be completely transparent with people reject nation shop dot com if you buy this sweater Tara and i do uh get a cut
Starting point is 00:02:23 of it we do a good cut of it so i'm saying that because a lot of you guys are like how do we support you, though, and it's like this is supporting us. Kota Shijjjjaks on the back. We are obsessed with you. We are obsessed with this. And just keep looking out because we're going to be dropping more and more stuff. We've got a really cute thing coming to. We've got some great ideas for you.
Starting point is 00:02:40 Yeah, for sure. That design, Tara made an unbelievable design that we've got coming a little later on that specifically the horror fans are going to like. So that's another thing I had to tell them. Yep. And still, again, Paul, Gordon, Mom Tommy. Still on that. And then also most importantly, this is definitely the best one yet.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Absolutely. From the top, I mean, we're already getting a great kill, like within the first 10 minutes and we got to see it versus the other movies. They did a bunch of cheats where it's like the kill, we see the afterwards. We don't see it during. I knew once they started this, the first kill, we got to see it the actual kill. And I was like, if they keep this up, bingo. And they did.
Starting point is 00:03:24 We have dope kills. We got lots of boobies. Yeah. We got hot people. We've got suspense and tensies. Ptootsi. We got multiple patootzis in here. Yep.
Starting point is 00:03:35 We got Paul, Gordon, mom, and Tommy. Tommy, maybe the new Jason. We don't know. It just, this one had everything where it had all the stuff in that end with that, just that stare. That was really cool. Mm-hmm. I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:03:52 The hockey mask, too, looks great. Yeah. And this time, we didn't just, we weren't just kids at a campground waiting to get picked off one by one. We had the guy come in this time who was like, I'm going to mess this guy up because my sister got killed, so there was motivation. Yeah, I liked that. I just thought this was definitely, definitely like, oh, okay, now it's feeling like a horror franchise. I agree. I kind of wanted that guy to get a little more vengeance, like him to get him at least once and then Jason to finish him off.
Starting point is 00:04:25 of something like this is for my sister. That would be probably too corny of a line. But I did think it was odd that he was like, he's killing me, run. I'm like, do you really have time to say he's killing me when he's killing you? Like, that was weird to me. You just watched the room. I just, oh, that's right.
Starting point is 00:04:40 It's killing me, Lisa. Totally. I was like that. Like that, that was exactly like that. And I would have liked, you know, because you saw that storyline coming where he's, he's seeking vengeance. He's like there to hunt.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Jason that I wish I would have seen a little more hunting I saw it coming you did I saw it coming she did I knew the whole thing I saw it all coming I wanted to see him hunt him a little more I wanted to see more of that I found that a very intriguing storyline I still found it really great the way that was we got off the campground and I really enjoyed that we're watching bib I don't know yeah we need to uh we are currently talking we need to stop drop and roll let's see what can I look up for us Yeah. What can I tell you about this movie? Did you have a favorite of the, I know we liked that hot guy and that cute, sweet girl?
Starting point is 00:05:32 The cute, yeah, the hot guy, sweet girl. I love the double kill with the corkscrew and then he also put a knife in the guy's head. I really like that. The only things that obviously you guys know, I think we both were irritated by is at the end of the girl of like, come on, man. Why are you guys just sitting in this room? You moved the bookcase, great. But there was a couple moves on her part, which is just like, why are we standing here and looking at him? I'm like, find a weapon and kick this guys.
Starting point is 00:06:00 But she had a few, a couple redeeming moments, which I'm really glad. They made her, like, you know, hit him with the knife at least. And there's some of that. And then I guess we really needed that to build up to Corey's final, like, blows where he gets, like, the serial murderer juice in him at the end. And I really like that he makes masks. He reads about a mass killer who had all these kills. And then I think they're trying to kind of set it up where it's like as he does the killing, maybe he finds a new life within him and he's got enough masks to carry it out.
Starting point is 00:06:38 So we'll see. Reject Nation, when I heard that this company wanted to partner up with us yet again, I was so enthusiastic about it. reason being I had already been using their product for well over a year by the point we first ever collaborated with them. So the fact that we get to have this ongoing partnership just makes me a happy camper. And that is, of course, for the app Rocket Money. Now, if you guys don't know what Rocket Money is, don't worry, I got you covered. I'll tell you about them in just a little bit. But before that, I wanted to share with you guys why I love this app so much. It's actually a very
Starting point is 00:07:11 personal reason. You see, like many of you guys, I too grew up in a home where money did not come easily needless to say the predominant conversation in my family household was undoubtedly about financial struggle financial worry and that does a number on you so it certainly seeped into my adulthood when i was trying to learn how to become financially independent and to this day as someone who talks a lot about working as mental health who's proudly going to therapy no matter how much lack we might have in money one day or how much success we might have in money sometimes I still have to have this ongoing conversation about my relationship with money. I'm half Filipino, so my mom's always talking to me about taxes to this day.
Starting point is 00:07:52 I think, though, it does start with how you manage the finances you currently have. See, before I ever acquired any type of reasonable living money, I heard someone speak about how you have to learn what to do with a dollar now. Essentially, the talk was about don't wait until you have, like, a bunch of money and then start figuring out what to do with it afterwards, like you got a bunch of toys to play with. If you want to acquire more in life, you have to first figure out what you're going to do with what you currently have. And that's why I love this app. It's applicable for any financial stage you are at in life. Come to think about it, it would have been very beneficial for me when I was
Starting point is 00:08:26 in a real struggle boat years ago. So in summary, as someone who is constantly having an ongoing working relationship with how to handle money, Rocket Money has helped make that relationship a lot healthier in my life. So what are they, if you don't know what they are, what they are is a personal finance app that simplifies managing money by canceling unnecessary subscriptions, lowering your bills, and crafting a budget that fits your specific lifestyle. I'm telling you, Reject Nation, there's no greater feeling than when you look at the following month and you see that, oh my God, I have saved money. I've spent less. And progress equals happiness. The best part is rocket money does a lot of the heavy lifting by analyzing your spending,
Starting point is 00:09:05 then customizes notifications to stay within your budget goals. It's not just about saving money. It's about actively seeing and feeling your financial progress. And one of my favorite qualities about their service, too, is when it comes to monthly subscriptions. We've been blessed to be able to expand the team and hire more people. But with that in mind, that also comes with a lot more expenses. So as this business has been growing, having to track exuberant amount more has been just
Starting point is 00:09:29 as important. So now I have to track a lot of these business expenses. Then I've got to track my own personal finances. So in general, it's already been helping out a lot with that. But as you want to make things more efficient, you often find yourself signing up for a lot of apps for free trials that you quickly forget about. Next thing you know, you're paying a hefty fine for it. I'm sure, even if you don't have a YouTube channel, there's some way you can relate with that. You see, because they track your monthly subscriptions, and they make it super easy to cancel the ones you do not use.
Starting point is 00:09:54 A couple of clicks, and you're putting money back into your pocket. So if you're like me, you found hidden subscriptions or pay for services that you totally forgot about, Rocket Money was a lifesaver in uncovering those and even negotiated some of my bills. about, like I'd say, down by 20%. So if you want to join me on this journey of consistently taking care of your finances, do not want to start later. The best time is to start right now. So please do yourself a favor.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Check out Rocket Money and see how much you too can be saving. That way you can stop wasting money on things you don't use. Believe me, when it came to my accountant and tax season, that was a really big note. Visit RocketMoney.com slash rejects. They've helped me and I'm confident they'll do the same for you. that's rocketmoney.com slash rejects your wallet will thank you because rocket money has over five million users and has saved a total of five hundred million dollars and canceled subscriptions saving members up to seven hundred forty dollars a year when using all of the app's features so a great way to support your lifestyle and a great way to support the channel is by going and downloading the rocket money app yourself and if it does help you please go ahead draw me a message i'd love to hear if there's some way by just conveying this message it has helped you out too thank you reject nation All right, here's some things that I've learned by picking up the Google device. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:10 58 years old at the time, Ted White is the oldest stuntman slash actor to portray Jason Voorhees. White who died in October 2022, may he rest in peace, was the longest-lived cast member, 96 years old. Wow. Last film in the series to pick up immediately where the previous left off. No more, that means probably no more. intros or recaps. Right. Though he disliked being involved in the film,
Starting point is 00:11:39 Ted White is considered by many fans to be one of the best Jasons. Why do he dislike being wrong? Why? Because he didn't want to be the bad guy? I don't know. Huh. The nurse's name tag reads R. Morgan R.N. at nine minutes an homage to an actress Robbie Morgan who played Annie in Friday the 13th.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Oh, that's nice. I like that. Ted White refused to talk to the other actors during production because he thought socializing with them would Diminish their fear of Jason. Love that. At around 10 minutes, the workout video Axel Watches is Arobeba Size. It stars Darcy DeMoss, who went on to have a role in Friday 13th, Part 6. Jason lives.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Really? Wow. Look at her go. In one scene, around one hour and two minutes, Rob talks to Trish about his sister, Sandra. Sandra was one of the victims in Friday 13th, Part 2. Yes. At the time, the installment of the season. series contained the most nudity in gore. Yes, that we saw. Writer Barney Cohen originally wrote a scene
Starting point is 00:12:40 involving Jason fondling Trish's breasts, but the producers vetoed it. Director Joseph Zito also disliked the scene because it made Jason seem too human and less menacing. The scene was ex-exized. Ex-sized. Exist? Huh, excised. I don't know. Just taking it out. I agree with that move. That makes sense. Why would they have her fond? That's so not his. No, it's definitely not. He's a kid who's after vengeance. Yeah. On a budget of $1,800,000, the film made $32,600,000 at the box office. Wow.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Wild! Damn, that's crazy. That's amazing. That is unbelievable. The moment where Jason's hand moves in the morgue was done by Ted White after Joseph Zito had called cut on the scene. However, the camera was still rolling and caught the movement, and it was included in the film. Love that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:37 This is the only film in the series to shoot new footage using sets and locations from a previous film. The beginning to... Did you hear my voice crack? Previous film. The beginning takes place on set of Friday 13th Part 3 before moving to a new location. You saw that. We knew that.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Okay. Ted White was uncredited as Jason Borges by his own request. Really? Because he felt it would hurt his career. Years later, he grew to accept his role and started appearing at horror conventions. Why was he so angry about this? Interesting.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Maybe because he's never shown. It's not his face and he's just a killer. I don't know. Interesting. It has been suggested that the only reason Tom Savini worked as makeup artist on this film was so he could accurately age and properly kill the character he created
Starting point is 00:14:22 from the first film. I really like that. He did a great job. The knife going through the head and the eyeball and the blood coming out, that final shot of Swamp guy, Jason. It's great. During filming Kimberly Beck, who plays Trish, experienced strange occurrences, including a man watching her while she ran in the park and strange phone calls at odd hours.
Starting point is 00:14:45 This stopped when production was over. Did they, like, do that to make her extra scared? Freaky deaky, my dude. I don't know. That's wild. Those are the ones I got for you today. We'll do more next time. Tara, my darling.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Any final thoughts? No, I like this one way better. It was a blast, a lot of fun, great kills, great job, great special effects, good acting. I super enjoyed myself. I think that, did Greg tell us that these are now dropping on Thursdays, the Friday of 13th? So I've moved to Thursday. I think you'd mention that. If so, happy Thursday.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Enjoy your coming up weekend. And we'll see you for the next one, part five or whatever it is. Yeah. Later, she-jex, later rejects. Bye. Thank you.
