Aaron Alexander & John Humphrey return to revisit Friends — the iconic 1990s NBC sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. Following the lives, loves, and hilarious misadventures of six young adults living in Manhattan, the series became a cultural phenomenon and remains one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time. In Episodes 7 through 12 of Season 1, fans are treated to some of the earliest defining moments of the show. Highlights include Ross (David Schwimmer – Band of Brothers, American Crime Story) struggling with his feelings for Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston (Marley & Me, The Morning Show), and Rachel herself navigating independence after leaving her fiancé. Monica (Courteney Cox – Scream, Cougar Town) faces challenges in her dating life, while Chandler (Matthew Perry – The Whole Nine Yards, The West Wing) provides some of his most sarcastic one-liners. Joey (Matt LeBlanc – Episodes, Top Gear) hilariously pursues his acting career with surprising highs and lows, while Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow – Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, The Comeback) delivers quirky songs and offbeat wisdom. Particularly memorable and highly searched moments include Chandler’s awkward encounters, Joey’s acting gigs, Ross’s ongoing pining for Rachel, and Rachel slowly settling into life with her new group of friends. These episodes showcase the chemistry and comedic timing that cemented Friends as a defining sitcom of its era. More on them in just a bit.
Without further ado, we're going to jump back in.
So let's start with episode seven.
Here we go.
All righty guys.
All righty, gang.
The it for us today in this video.
We've done it.
Oh, we did it.
We watched episode 7 through 12.
Yeah.
Seven through 12, guys.
We just did a binge, a big old binge.
Bingey boys, guys.
Thank you so much for watching.

Keep on those notification bells.
Also, if you watch it on Apple or Spotify, listening to Apple or Spotify, you want to go and give
us five freaking stars.
Right.
And also, we want to thank the people over to Prepaficat.
Cutting down these other frickin'
Highlights.
Right. High light.
You can sit here on the YouTube's.
That's right.
Get them on the YouTube.
But I do know we have some patient questions.
Oh, yeah, dude.
God, what do we see today?
We saw the one with the blackout.
We saw the one where Nana dies twice.
We saw the one where the underdog gets away.
Boom.
We saw the one with the monkey.
We saw the one with Mrs. Bing.
And we saw the one with a dozen lasanias.
That's a lot of ones.
saw the six.
All the ones. Six of the ones.
All right. And half a dozen of the others.
Half a freaking dozen.
Dude, let's pull up some patron cues, but in
general, I'm feeling lovely.
This is always a, this is a very
fun addition to the schedule,
and I hope this does well enough that we can go
through the whole thing. I would love that.
I would love that as well,
my friend. Let's just make sure we got
all the possible options
accounted for.
But how are you feeling?
You're feeling pretty good?
You're feeling like these are friends you want to welcome into your heart?
I think they are friends.
I want to welcome into my heart.
Hell yeah.
You know, this show is consistently funny.
It's true.
With some flawed characters, which, you know, is very human.
And, you know, we get to watch them grow, hopefully.
Knock on all the woods over the next 10 years of their lives.
See how they develop as people and how the relationships grow when change.
and what kind of father will Ross be as the show continues on, powers on.
But, yeah, this is a very comedy-heavy day, which is, you know, it's great, you know, love and very grip of what I do.
But, yeah, I feel like every time I see this pop-up on our schedule, I get really happy.
You're really excited for us to shoot some more friends because I like these cast of characters.
I'm growing attached to them in the 12 episodes we've watched thus far.
Absolutely.
as well. Love in our
newfound friends and
definitely seeing just the general
you know, hype.
I get why this show is beloved
to the degree that it is
and it's been a real joy
getting to be, you know, inducted
into this.
So, okay, now I
got the right page up.
There we go.
There we go.
Okay.
We got a friend.
Science. Yip, yip,
and we got Jay.
Yip, yupp, I think everything is as it's supposed to be.
It is okay, gang.
Let's do this thing.
Let's start with a little question from none other than...
Zen science.
Zend science says the blackout episode is one of my favorites.
What do you do during a long power outage?
You know, I learned a little bit about this recently when we had the
fires because the power was out for several days.
At your place?
Oh, snap.
And, you know, I mean, it's weird.
You kind of begin to appreciate it.
It was very easy in that situation to appreciate that it wasn't worse in our areas.
So, like, having the power out inconvenient, though it maybe was more of, like, a neat side quest adventure than, you know, it could have been largely due to the devastation happening.
and the fact that that's a far cry from, you know,
having the power out for a couple days.
But definitely, I don't know,
it was kind of nice.
It was very peaceful in a way.
It's very simple in a way.
So, like, long power outage, I don't know,
grab a, grab, you know, a lantern or a candle,
maybe read a book, go take a walk.
I don't know, play some board games or something.
You know, do all the analog stuff.
Yeah.
Draw, right, paint or something.
Yeah, like in the before times.
Yeah.
Yeah, you've got the TV to rely you on or your other, you know, things that we've become accustomed to.
But, yeah, I think that's really good.
What would I do?
Probably read a book, play some games.
Play a lot of Uno.
Let me some Uno.
Yeah, it really depends on who I'm with and where I am.
Because, yeah, ooh, because if it's in their building like it was, means you can't use the elevator.
You're stuck up there.
Unless you use the stairs.
They must have a big old staircase.
But, yeah, go on.
walks, you know, sing some songs, probably write. Do some writing, some poetry or some
short stories. Play some improv games with your friends. Yeah. It'd be fun. I'd like to go take
a walk outside like in the evening time when there's a power outage and just kind of like
behold how quiet everything has become counter to the norm. Yeah. I think that's nice.
I think that's exactly what I'd want to do. It's always nice just to be able to be able to be
be a little disconnected from
the immediate
sources of dopamine we've become accustomed to
in our modern day society
so, you know, get some old-fashioned
person-to-person
action or some old-fashioned
old-fashioned
strutton, walking.
Go do some exercises.
Yeah, go bat watching.
Get your night vision goggles and
go bad watching, all the different bats
in your area. That's a very funny
episode the
the blackout one
yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah getting stuck in the thing
which I guess I guess they must
have got an actor to play Jill
Goodacre because the name was different in the
thing and Jill Goodacre seems like it's her
name so
either way
but yeah that one man with Chandler
stuck in the vestibule
was very very
funny okay can we confirm
something yes I feel like
I feel like the actress who played
uh ross's ex was different in the first few episodes because i remember her the cuss one she had curly hair
as well because when they both had curly hair let me look this up episode five uh we meet janis
right maggie wheeler oh yeah because it's to break up with her yeah yeah with the laundry
detergent i feel like she's probably been the same since the top they might not janis janis was
Chandler's.
Oh, sorry.
Who are we talking about?
Ross's ex.
Oh, maybe.
It's possible.
Yeah.
Find it.
Find it.
Find it.
I will find it.
I will find him.
231 episodes.
Carol.
Is her name Carol?
Carol?
Look at that.
Look at that.
It's Carol.
Well, which episode was she in?
the second one
Carol Judy
God this has been the whole
I didn't realize this is the whole
Palo Saga
because we met him in episode 7 with the blackout
right and then
went all this way
Okay they did switch the actress
Oh do they?
Yeah because Carol was
Janice Sibbitt
before
In the pilot?
No in the
So she was in the second episode
So Carol was
Anita Barone
in the first episode
but how many episodes are friends
was she Carol
I will get to the bottom of this
and it must be
must have yeah
had to recast after the pilot or something
yeah maybe
it's bothering me
because I knew it immediately
okay thank you for indulging me guys
is racking my brain
but yeah there's a lot of great episodes
in this block of episodes
I was gonna say the one with
Nana was very fun. It was nice to see
some actual tender moments
between Monica and her mom.
I thought that was a good one.
And a lot of very fun,
wacky bits.
A lot of Ross in this episode block
getting, you know, drunk
or becoming loopy in one way
or another. And then
all the guys joining around the football game was pretty
funny. The Thanksgiving one was very
charming. I thought the game of that was a lot
of fun and everyone like trying to figure out
how to like avoid
no wait wait I'm getting that
confused it's like everybody wants to have the perfect
Thanksgiving except for Chandler who
like only associates this with dysfunction
and then it comes back around at the end that
like he's happy because it's a big
dysfunctional Thanksgiving
and ugly naked guy having
his like romantic dinner
bringing them all together was just like a nice
fun thing
oh god there's the one with the monkey
that's right and friggin
freaking Hank Azario was in this
chunk. I'm surprised. I thought that would be
like a recurring thing or something like that.
Well, considering the show is, you know,
10 years long,
and he said he's only going to be gone for three years.
I imagine maybe he'll come back.
He could come back. It's true. After his
internship or his job overseas.
Yeah, absolutely. That was a fun one, though. That was a fun one.
The one with Mrs. Bing, obviously,
Morgan Fairchild, hell yeah.
I bet she'll come back at some point.
But, yeah, that was pretty wild circumstances.
The whole subplot with the guy getting hit by the car was random.
Yeah, mad random.
Oh, all right.
Interesting.
Definitely one of the cuckier subplots we've seen so far.
And then the one with a dozen lasagna is a fun.
It's interesting to see a show like this and to see, like, yeah, a handful of episodes arc.
Because, yeah, Paolo, you know, is as of these six, it seems.
like as of yeah seven we meet him and then by 12 he's done so as of these five i should say uh you
know now if you've been part of the reject nation for a while you've probably heard us mention

Yeah, there's...
Or six?
No, no, yeah.
7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 6 in total.
Yeah.
I'm trying to see which one I liked the most out of these.
Yeah.
Do you have a favorite out of the ones we watched?
That's a tough one.
I mean, which one has Joey on the STD posters?
Because that was very funny, too.
That was a great.
It might have been the Thanksgiving one, honestly.
Like, that one was really fun.
I liked the Nana one a lot, too.
I mean, like, there were great moments in all these.
The blackout is, like, I can feel whilst watching that.
like this must be like a classic episode or something like that so the blackout one yeah i mean
that one was really funny just so much like good wacky physical humor and stuff like that yeah because
we got to see yeah we got to see them all bonding over you said the one with the the blackout right
yeah yeah no it was fun to get to see their different dynamics they're different couples and
you know them all not having somebody at the end and just all you're just all you
in there
as friends
I was like
oh this is sweet
this was very sweet
yeah I'm tossed
between the
the underdog one
and the one with the monkey
both of those
were great for me
yeah
oh yeah
that one had fun Bobby
poor fun Bobby
yeah
yeah but I mean
these are all like a joy
but yeah I think
I think the kind of
of the yeah
like the first three
of this chunk
I liked the best
and I really enjoyed
watching the other three
but I think those ones
had like
my favorite moments across these
are the things that I'm thinking back to
the most at this moment.
Although, you know, Paolo
leaving and, you know, the sort of beginnings
I assume of, you know,
a more focused,
Ross, you know, Rachel
pursuit, you know,
certainly seems like a big canon moment.
But yeah,
I believe we have another question
on the block.
Let's see who we got.
Thank you so much, Zen.
Jay Rushden, question.
The main opening theme is epic.
What other show opening is classic there?
Oh, man, there's so many classic.
The Family Matters theme is classic.
Yep, King of the Hill opening theme song, classic.
That's just like a societal classic and personal classic for you.
Yeah.
For me, the theme song to Spectacular Spider-Man.
Spectacular, Spider-Man.
It's pretty sick.
We rocked out hard, Kauai and we watched that.
I watched all those episodes.
They're great.
It's my favorite reactions.
Oh, that makes me happy.
Yeah, you guys killed it.
I love the kids in the hall theme sequence with that, like, surf rock tune by shadowy men on a shadowy planet.
It's a good one.
There's no words to it, but I like the How I Met Your Mother theme.
How I Met Your Mother's going.
Dexter, A-plus opening.
theme sequence.
Does it change from season to seasoners or remain the same?
As far as I've seen it is, I'm like, don't ever change it.
Oh, it's been making breakfast.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's pretty good.
Yeah, I always say too much, but you'll see other pieces of that.
Oh.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I always like the Mad Men's opening score thingy.
It's pretty simple.
I think the Breaking Bad song that like, you know, slide guitar thing.
is very memorable
I bet there are other ones though
this is probably like a broad
and like if you want to bring anime
into this we'll have a whole other discussion
on our hands you know
yeah yeah
so many
some good some good death note ones
I mean the Pokemon theme song
how could you ever top that
that's classic very best
like no one ever was
catch them as my real test
to train them is my cause
oh my goodness
yeah
you also travel across land
searching far wide
I was going to say
Are there any other ones, though?
Are there any others we're forgetting?
I think I remember
What's the show?
Full House.
Dude, that's a
Do-do-da-da-da-d-d-d-be-d-be-d-be-d-be-d-bo-de-bo-de-
Never seen the Sopranos or six-feet under,
so I couldn't tell you.
I mean, The Simpsons is a classic.
Oh, Malcolm in the middle?
You're not the boss of me now.
Oh, yeah, you're not the boss of me now,
and you're not so.
life is unfair
Fresh Prince
Hondo P, fresh prince
Sex and the City is pretty memorable
Oh yeah, I have heard that you've never seen this show
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, not bad, not bad
American Horror Story ones are always fun to watch
They change each time
Melrose Place
Sorry I pulled up a list to help us out
I really like the song from True Blood.
Brady Bunch is an all-time.
You watch True Blood.
You watch Masters of Sex.
Dude, you do.
Even Stevens is a great one.
Severance is a great one.
Svrendo P. Severance has a good one.
Severance is a great one.
And the updates, I find myself just like humming that out loud at times.
Just, yeah.
Oh, Cowboy Bebop, yeah.
Game of Thrones is also classic.
And BoJack Horseman's a good one.
There are a lot of good ones.
What's the worst one?
What's the most lackluster opening TV?
All you see is violence and movies and sex on TV.
That's a pretty memorable one, honestly.
That's definitely, I think, one that a lot of people throw in there.
But yeah, goodness gracious me.
Goodness, gracious.
It's very fun, the one where we watched six more episodes.
Yeah, we did the dang thing.
Walking Dead.
It's pretty decent.
What was Walking Dead?
Well, I mean, oh, God, Twilight Zone, dude.
Twilight Zone, All-Timer and every iteration.
You know, the Walking Dead has that like...
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
There's some good ones out there.
There are some good ones out there.
Leave us your favorites, gang.
of the, you know, TV theme songs out there.
Leave us what your favorite episodes were of this block.
Yeah.
To the dang thing.
Thanks for chiming in, gang.
Appreciate you.
I don't have any final words before we get out of here.
Just that this was funny, I'm enjoying myself,
and I cannot wait for another six episode binge alongside you, my friend.
My friend.
My friend.
I am excited.
Dude.
It's been real.
It's been corporeal.
It's been real, guys.
we're going to see you guys in the next block until then
