When you let arrow truffle bubbles melt,
everything takes on a creamy, delicious, chocolatey glow.
Like that pile of laundry.
You didn't forget to fold it.
No, it's a new trend.
Rinkled chic.
Feel the arrow bubbles melt.
It's mind bubbling.
Local news is in decline across Canada,
and this is bad news for all of us.
With less local news, noise, rumors, and misinformation fill the void.
And it gets harder to separate truth from fiction.
That's why CBC News is putting more.
journalists in more places across Canada reporting on the ground from where you live,
telling the stories that matter to all of us because local news is big news. Choose news, not noise.
CBC News. The ride that steals the spotlight every time it hits the road, that's the Volkswagen

More on them in just a bit.
All right, look at Andrew.
He's got his blankie.
I've got a sweater.
We're doing Game of Thrones.
That's right.
You've got to tell the people how you are, though.
I'm doing.
I'm doing well, but I will be doing.
Doing better if you subscribe to the RagePod.
How are you, Tara?
Do it, do it, do it.
Yeah, I'm good.
I feel like I got some good sleep.
Have a little bit of energy today.
Can't wait for the old G-O-T.
Guy, I clicked it.
All right, guys, so if you're listening to us on Apple or Spotify, give us a five-star rating.
If you're on the YouTube, like, comment, subscribe when you do, ring the bell.
Ring the bell.
Thanks for helping out of these highlights.
We appreciate them.
Also, if you go to Patreon,
that is where you can get 15% off all reject nayshop.com gear.
But you can also ask this question.
Anything that we're watching get a full week in advance of the schedule?
Also just helps keep the lights on keeps us here.
We deal with a lot of copyright claims every day, multiple of them.
So it's hard for us to get edits out to you.
So if you join Patreon, it just helps.
So do it if you haven't done it already.
And Andrew, let's talk about these episodes.
Let's talk.
But before we talk, please subscribe to the RagePod.
It would make me very happy.
And I like making me happy.
So do it.
Yeah.
Some incredible episodes.
Yeah.
I don't know if I've read this tear before we just really quickly get into it.
But I know people have said peak Game of Thrones is like seasons one through four, maybe even five as well.
But I know I've heard it really goes downhill, especially season eight, but I've really enjoyed this season so far.
Me too.
I'm so invested in all the storylines still.
I know a lot is always going on.
It's really an ensemble piece.
Yeah.
And I'd say the one, I still want to see the resolve, the only storyline that really just is, I wouldn't say annoying me, but just I hate the, which is the point, right?
The High Sparrow.
Like, I hate that character so much.
Jonathan Price is a character.
Right.
But I understand, like, the villains that I, I've talked about this in the last couple episodes, the ones that I think are the scariest villains.
are ones who think they're right.
You know, whether they're trying to inject their...
Like Ramsey.
Yeah, but yeah, oh my God.
A lot of other ones in this show.
For sure, for sure.
But ones who are trying to inject their worldview onto others
or forcing it onto others while not being respectful.
Right.
Or ones who actually just think they are right and that they are being good in their own way.
Right.
But when it comes to the other storylines, I'd say DeNaris, that one is going...
I'm so anxious.
Like also too, just I was talking about at the end there, the way she was on Dragoen, is that how you say it?
Yes, I think.
The way she was riding the dragon, like when she first was getting out of the Coliseum and the gladiator style thing, she's very nervous and understandless.
It was the first time she's riding, but now she's like really confident.
And I love seeing that contrast between her when she's doing that.
And you can see the dragon feels that too with her.
And you can see everyone's following from that confidence.
And so there's that.
I agree with that.
And last thing, because I want to see what you think to before we talk a little more in depth,
I loved seeing a little bit of seeing, it sucked, but I love seeing a little bit of the lifestyle at home for Sam Tarley.
To see someone like, Sam is one of the nicest, most honorable, most wonderful human beings we've ever not only met on this show, just in general, I would say in TV.
He's just such a pure and beautiful soul.
Dude.
Yeah, for sure.
But someone who grows up in an environment like that, I feel like that could break a lot of people or turn them into a spiteful little shit.
Yeah.
So for him to grow up with a father.
And granted, his mother is a very kind human being.
So that's the other half of it.
And I can see where he gets to the good side too from.
But to be around that kind of a father 24-7 to still have his purity and still be such a wonderful human being.
I think that's a testament to not only Sam's mother, but himself as well.
well.
Yeah.
So, but yeah, his dad is the worst.
He's terrible.
Terrible.
And what do you think?
I really loved like when Sonsa, this was in the episode five, when she confronts Littlefinger,
that was I, because it's so uncomfortable for her to do that and for her to be like, keep
continue asking him.
So he says it out loud.
So he realizes what he's done to her.
I love that.
I also love that, you know, Sonsa's like,
John doesn't need, she's like, I'll be there.
I'll be with it.
Like he has, he's a rightful, you know, a guy of the North as much as Sonsa is.
He's a rightful stark, even though he's a bastard.
You get what I'm saying.
The Hodor part, wild.
Hodor.
I never saw that.
Why does he talk like that?
They revealed it, but they revealed it in an organic way that makes sense.
sense on why he does that.
Exactly.
It was for brand's benefit.
It's almost like a promise kept.
Why do you think he remembered that the whole time?
That's the only thing he's saying.
Yeah.
But now when you rewatch it, it's like, oh my God, now this has such a purpose.
It's not just a line.
There's a purpose behind this line.
Right.
Like, do you think, why do you think that he switched from speaking to just Hodor?
I mean, it was part of that quote, right?
The hold the door.
But I don't know if like.
to know if you, you know, if you felt more about, I think it's really just because he needed
to remember that, that that was, that's basically his way of, of serving.
Like, that's what his life was there for.
Yeah.
He's like, hold the door at the end.
Yeah.
No, I mean, it serves, it serves as a big purpose for him to remember that.
So I could see that being the case for sure.
There's another thing, too, I wanted to mention.
I thought going into the backstory of how the children and why the children, like the motivation for creating the White Walkers.
Because I always wondered where, I mean, I know this is a fantasy element.
This is not take place in our world, even if it is in, you know, in the past and all that.
But I thought the motivation for why they created the White Walkers makes a lot of sense for what man was doing and, like, destroying a lot of their resources and cutting trees down and all that.
It's like I understand the reasoning for doing it.
But this comes also back to like atoning for the past and sins and all that.
When it comes also back to with Circe,
like she's the one who got the high sparrow involved in all this, right?
Because of all this shit in trouble that was happening at home.
But it's like, unfortunately, you know, stuff that you bring in can sometimes be your undoing.
And that happened with the children too, creating the Whitewalkers, you know, might have served good for this very moment right now.
But then in the long game, it ended up being a very negative.
move in the end, which same thing with
Circe. She brought the high sparrow in
right now because of Marjorie
and all that stuff like for the moment
but now he has her son.
Now it has her son.
It turned into a very,
very bad thing in the end but
agree. Yeah, but that was a very
fascinating move in terms of the backstory. I didn't
I always like going into stuff like that
when it comes to the backstory. I mean you could have still
had held on to the mystery and I still would
have had the what if but this was done
in such an organic and fascinating
way that still felt very captivating to me.
Yeah. And I really like the reveal of Uncle Benjin. I think that's a lot of fun with
Brand. I don't, I'm like, I also really like that I didn't think I'd feel like this like,
yay about it, but that Yara stole from your on grade drug because I'm like, listen, B,
you showed up at the end and you're trying to like swing yourself around here to be like,
I'm going to like rule. And I'm like, Yara has been here the whole time. Like, who are you?
obviously just acting like a cis white dude who's like I'm just going to come in and get what I
want like and I know they're not all like that so don't come for me but you get what I mean and I talk
like it's it's a joke but it's also kind of not a joke because that's sort of how like his
behavior especially in this that's like how he's behaving which is wild to me I'm like you're
you just you just thought you could roll up at the end and be like we're good here I think that's
insane.
Yeah, like, where do you think Samwell and Gilly are going to go?
That's a great question.
Far from his home, obviously.
I don't know.
Where do you go?
Because the white walker, does Sam know that the white walkers are coming, by the way?
Or is he not, is he unaware?
The thing is, like, I'm, I don't know if I'm as worried about the whitewaters.
I'm more worried about, like, him going to the Citadel and becoming a maister.
Because now I'm like, that he has Gilly.
How are we going to do it?
Well, I think the good thing.
was he took the sword, right?
He can use that sword.
It's got Valerian Steel,
but he can use that sword
to take Hill Whitewockers, right?
With Valeran Steel.
So he's got some form of protection,
although if the numbers are overwhelming.
Maybe he won't become a maister then.
Yeah.
Whatever the case was,
he made a very striking line, though, to her.
He said that when he made the choice
to not leave her there,
and Lynn, Little Sam,
he said, we are going to be together.
So wherever they go,
they're always going to stick together.
So I think that's an important
distinction to make. Yeah. And like, I mean, I feel really scared about the faith and the crown joining
forces. Yeah. I think it makes it super scary. There's a reason that they're supposed to be a
separation of a church instead. But you get what I'm saying. Like now the, it's basically like
the king and the Tyrells. They don't have any power because now it's basically, that's why Lady Tyrell
he won. And I'm like, because that's true. The faith has convinced Marjorie to convince now Tom and Tom and is king, we're screwed.
Yeah, I don't know what the plan is. Like how, what are we going to do? Yeah, I don't know what the plan is because they literally, they broke her in that prison.
That's what she's got control over him. So I don't know what the long-
Do we think she's still in the prison? Tom and is back at the thing, but it wasn't revealed if Marjorie is back in the castle.
So I'm like, is she going to be back? Or is it?
assume, I would assume she's, now that they're, they've joined forces, she's going to be back at the, that's my guess. I don't know. I mean, we'll see in the. She just was talking so weird about like, oh, I just gave to the poor, like, just so that I could like see that way. And I'm like, is she going to become like the guy, like the lead guy? I mean, I'm scared. It was so hard to tell just from a lot of her, there felt like so much subtext in her. That's what I mean. Yeah. I was like, I can't tell if she's playing some kind of a, I don't know. But that's what this show.
does such a great job of they really keep you on your toes i know also too last thing before we
get into the questions here i thought that that scene gave me goosebumps city as well with jora and with
the narris where he was she was like i sent you away twice you came back twice and like and then he
revealed that you know he's been infected and she said i order you to find a cure and and you know
you could really tell how affected she was by this because she doesn't want a georgia and she also says
once i take control of um you know the city and
and I am the queen, I want you there by my side.
And then he confessed his love for her.
Right.
Like that was one of the most touching scenes we've gotten in all six seasons for me.
I love that.
Yeah, that was really good.
Such a good scene, too.
And you know what?
I will say that I was sad that Aria won't become an actual faceless man,
but I was actually more happy that she's going back to Aria Stark when she goes to get needle.
Because I was like, damn, girl, I kind of wanted her to,
I wanted to see her become a faceless man,
use the face and do some weird juice.
Like an assassin, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like I wanted it.
But right now she could be an assassin.
She just has to be Aria Stark, the assassin.
But now she can really help her family.
And I'm mostly excited by that because we've got Robin Sonsa together.
Who knows where Ari's going to go?
I don't know where she's planning on going now,
but she is Aria Stark now back with Needle.
And that's exciting.
You make a great point.
I agree with you.
It would have been cool to see that.
but I think the problem is she's got too much,
as I pointed out a couple times while we were reacting,
she's got too much of a moral compass to become that assassin,
to take out good people.
When she takes out bad people,
it's kind of like the dexter effect.
If you're only taking out the trash,
this is fine,
I can do it.
But also,
I've got a mission of people I need to still take out, right?
I've now got the training in which to obtain that I can do this,
but I cannot take out in goodwill and faith good people.
Yeah.
Because an actress is an understudy wants the bigger part.
not taking out someone for that, even if I pretend to be no one. I'm not doing that.
I, yeah, I agree. But I'm glad she's got the training now and the skill to take out the people that
she's needed to take. I think we've spent a lot of time, which I like that the show didn't rush,
like season two, season three, Ari is right. We're on season six now. We've spent a lot of time
in training, whether it be the mental fortitude that we've needed to get to to get to Ariah getting
to this point or the physical training. She's ready now.
Well, Rejects, when do you usually realize you forgot to eat?
For me lately, it's like I look up.
It's halfway through the day.
I've been at the office, editing, reacting, prepping for shows and movies, talking, meeting, business.
And I just have not ate.
And right now, nutrition has become very important for me again because I'm currently training to do a Spartan race.
Running more, trying to build my endurance up.
So I need not just caffeine in vibes.
I need actual nutrition.
And that's where Hewle has been a daily go-to for me for like well over a year now.
It helped me a ton when I was cutting last year, when I made a big deal about dropping all that weight.
And now for performance, it's helping to keep me consistent.
Even Koi right now, he's on a cut.
I see him drinking this stuff all the time.
He took the last of my favorite flavor of the chocolate peanut butter.
Thanks, Koi, for doing that.
Happy to order more using my promo code.

She is, and it's exciting.
Yeah, I love her storyline.
All right, let's go to our couple questions.
Jaden Rode says,
watching Hodor Dye is probably the hardest I cried watching the show.
It was very heartbreaking to watch.
I'm curious how you all feel about his death
because he's one of the very few characters, I think,
and it gives him an amazing, and they give him an amazing ending.
Great point, Jaden.
I think our fans.
face is, you know, said it all, but he is really such an incredible character. And it's kind of like
the I am Groot effect. You know, the character's only saying, in this case, one line or an I
am Groot only saying like two or three of the same lines over and over. But because he and Vendiz
are such incredible actors, you can understand the subtext in which they're saying all these
lines. You feel them so much. And yeah, it was really sad and tragic because he was dying,
not only was he dying, but he was dying in service and in sacrifice of someone else. Like,
to give up your life on the line for another human being is a very noble thing to do.
And Hodor was always so brave and obviously a man of very few words,
but such a character we always cared about, like he was always there for brand.
And so to see him go out that way, it's just really sad.
Yeah, but also very, very poetic.
Like it was like, whoa, the poetry linked to his death.
Yeah.
I think is a brilliant and amazing death.
slash ending incredibly sad but the payoff with it because of the poetic nature of it is is just brilliant
that's a very game of thrones-esque thing so i i absolutely agree with you jaden an amazing ending there
and you had to book end that after we had just gone off the the death of was it summer the wolf
that was hard it's like back to back to back with all the children as well yeah there's a
lot of uh of i mean it's game of throne so we're tar and i are obviously and i'm mostly
audience are accustomed to deaths at this point.
Yeah, that was a lot.
But these are characters we were in animals we were so invested in.
So it was a lot to take on at one moment there.
The worst.
I hate it.
I can't even rethink about it.
All right.
Last question here is from Jay Rush and what up Jay.
Thank you so much for being a royal reject asking a question.
We appreciate you so much.
Question, there are six plot lines in the story.
Which group is your favorite of the six?
That's a really tough one because they're all so
compelling. I can tell you which one's my least favorite, even though I still, I still want to see how it resolves is the high sparrow one. That's the one that I'm at least engaged with. Right, because we hate him. We're just like, get out of here, man. It's not even, it's not even that I hate him. Because the job is as a writer, I'm supposed to hate him, right? Even though I know. I know. Even though I'm under, because I hate Ramsey to death, but I'm so engaged in that storyline. But I don't know, there's something about that storyline that's not having me immersed like
the other ones, but I still want to see the resolve of it.
For sure.
I want to see them driven out of the city or taken to their demise, whatever it is.
Yeah.
But the other five plot lines are really like, I'm beyond locked in.
But if I had to pick number one, because I want to see Ramsey die so bad.
I might go with the Nairus, because now she's with Tyrion.
And we've been watching her journey.
Not that we haven't watched any of the other journeys from day one or season one,
of course.
It's just she's gone on a really incredible journey, like to get to the point she's got to.
Right.
And she's so incredibly close to getting to Westeros and to get in reclaiming where she was
rightfully thrown.
And she's had to do it through so much turmoil.
And she's such an incredible and endearing leader.
And I really want that for her.
And also the fact that you pair her up with Tyrion now, even though they've only had a couple
scenes together.
And Tyrion is, I think, are both of our favorite characters are Daeneres and Tyrion.
Yeah.
So that's the storyline I'm just latched on to the most.
But I like them all.
I would just say least favor is probably the high sparrow one.
But I still want to see no doubt how that one resolves.
But the brand one, too, I'm really invested in that one as well.
Yeah, that one's good.
You know, I was going to say, you know, Teryn and Varys are, it's really engaging to like even, even though there's not that much going on.
I just love Teryn so much.
And the fact that when they have these conversations,
about like, but we have to make sure that
that they know DeNaris gets credit for it.
Like that's how good of a runner, right?
Tyrion is.
He's just so good at his job.
And I just really like watching him.
And especially with Varus,
and now that we have this new freaking red lady up in this,
that's like going to be wild.
But if not that, I would definitely say,
you know, it's so rewarding to see Rob and Sonsa together
and to see Sonsa sort of like she's going to be there with John,
knows John is going to protect her.
And she seems like she has confidence back,
which of course you would.
Like there's these men that have done these just horrible things to her.
And now she has her brother John back,
who would absolutely murder them.
And I would hope in a very torturous way if he ever step foot in the same room as any of these men.
So that storyline to me,
I'm really excited by.
I think it's really great to see them together.
Finally, we get to see some of the Starks being together.
And then it was obviously very exciting to see Aria choose Stark again, because then you never
know where she might end up.
Sure.
And the civilization of that was taking back needle as well.
And obviously we got to save Rickon.
Is that he say his name?
Ricken?
Yeah.
I think it's right.
But yeah.
And then obviously we got to go back to Rivendale to what's, what's, what's, what's,
what's it called?
Their hometown from the Starks where Ramsey is taken over.
Yeah, you mean to where the Winterfell?
Winterfell, thank you.
Sorry, I'm Lord of the Rings asked right now.
Yeah, but we got to go back to Winterfell.
Like, that's going to be a fun battle, too.
I'm assuming the end of this season.
So I'm so much to look forward to at the end of this season.
But I'm excited.
We shall see.
So make sure that you guys like, leave a comment, do all the right stuff.
Be nice, but cool, but kind.
We'll see you on the next one.
