Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex platinum, almost every purchase made with your card can be covered with points, including new tastes, new fits, and virtually everything in between. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. I was guilty of multiple skin care crimes. Two counts of sleeping and makeup. One count of using disposable wipes. I knew my routine had to change. So I switched to Garnier-Missler water.
Starting point is 00:00:28 It gently cleanses, perfectly removes makeup. make up and provides 24-hour hydration. Clear away the evidence with the number one Missler Water worldwide by Garnier. Local news is in decline across Canada, and this is bad news for all of us. With less local news, noise, rumors, and misinformation fill the void, and it gets harder to separate truth from fiction.
Starting point is 00:00:52 That's why CBC News is putting more journalists in more places across Canada, reporting on the ground from where you live, telling the stories that matter to all of us. because local news is big news. Choose news, not noise. CBC News. Thank you to Liquid Ivy for sponsoring this video.
Starting point is 00:01:11 More on them in just a bit. Let's do it. Wow, that was epic. If you guys are listening to us on Apple or Spotify, please give us a five-star rating. If you're on YouTube, like, comment, subscribe. When you do, ring the bell. ring the bell.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Thank you to Preper for helping edit down these highlights. Super appreciate them. If you're not already on Patreon, that is where you can go, where you can get to ask us questions, anything that we're watching. I'm going to look for those questions now for Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 00:01:50 But also you get 15% off all rejectnation shop.com gear, which is super cool if you join Patreon. But it also just helps us with all of the copyright claims that we're getting. It's been tough. So really just you, giving to us on Patreon, you get a lot of benefits, but it also just helps keep the channel going
Starting point is 00:02:11 for the most part. So if you can join that, that would be great. If you can also follow the rage pod anywhere you find your podcast. That's the new podcast I'm doing. I would be very grateful. All right. So keep it short and sweet. Tell me what, like, how do you feel about these last two episodes? What were your like three top moments in this? Tyrion, Tyrion and Tyrion. That speech at the end was extremely riveting. I mean, Peter Dinklage just owns that role. And there's times where we talk about his quick wit,
Starting point is 00:02:44 but to see him in such a serious state when everything is going against him. And we saw that he was when he was in, I believe it was Vail, where he was being accused of pushing brand, I believe it was, right? Stark. And, you know, to be in that juxtaping. position of having to fight for his innocence. Like, he just is such, he's so methodical when it comes to being in that position. So, and I love that, I love the, how he had to contain himself and seeing people like slander him in that moment when he didn't do anything. So I can only imagine
Starting point is 00:03:25 how, uh, just pissed off I would be in that situation too. And that is just one of the, the coolest monologues I've ever seen, but it's also like one of the most vindicating type of monologues I've ever seen as well from an actor and character as well. So I was just so awesome and inspirational as well to see. And just when you all this, everything is stacked against you is kind of what I wanted to say. But Peter Dinklage, amazing, amazing job. That was incredible. Might be one of my favorite monologues in the entire show so far.
Starting point is 00:04:01 but that was freaking awesome. But what did you think of the two episodes? Yeah, no, I agree. It evokes a lot of emotion there, you know, at the end with Tyrion, which is great. And Tyrion has always been the most honest, selfless person within the Lannisters. And I'm glad that he wasn't like, I'll confess to it so you can just send me to the wall. He stuck to what his character would do. is, you know, written very well in here where, you know, yeah, demand it because he won't die
Starting point is 00:04:37 for King Joffrey. King Joffrey is not worth anything, not anything near what Tyrion would be worth. And I think I really, really liked the, we're now seeing sort of a struggle with DeNaris, which I think is cool. Like she's going back. She wants to rule as queen, but now she's sort of met with these points of, it's a little sad, right? It's like, oh, did she do the right thing? Maybe she didn't do the research on the one guy's dad, right? And you're like, ah. So it's like, it's a little complicated. We're sort of in this position where now the Lannisters are worried about Dineris, the Targaryens, even though Circe still refers to her as a child. And it's like, bra, no. So I'm loving it so far. I think that we had a lot of
Starting point is 00:05:29 of storylines within these last two episodes. You know, like Tauman, he is king now, but we didn't see much, but we did see that, like, Circe is getting closer with Marjorie in saying, like, yeah, okay, you can be with Taumman. Like, I knew that Drafri was a, was a prick, and you knew it too. So, you know, now I'll kind of allow this, which is like, okay, all right. Yeah. Very interesting. And I think the most fun I had was when John reunited with Ghost and they kill all of those Krasta keeps freaks.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Beautiful to see it burning. And all of the girls and the people of the wall, they're just watching it burn. I really liked that last shot in the episode. And if I may, just one quick thing, the reveal that we got that Lysa and Littlefinger or Baylish. are married and he's the one who poisoned John. And this like literally jump started all the events from beginning to where we are now. It's just wild. Like everything has been because of Lord Baylish.
Starting point is 00:06:41 The man is just a manipulating strategist. Yep. He's crazy. He's got his fingers everywhere. His little fingers. All right. We've only got a couple questions here. We'll read them.
Starting point is 00:06:53 The first one is from Jaden Rhodes. He says, Tyrion speech is one of the best things. ever written no matter how many times I watch it. It always sends chills through my body. Same. I'm curious if you all feel the same way. Jaden, thank you for writing. I'm glad that was not recency bias. I was like literally feeling that in every bone in my body, like as he was saying that. And I'm glad what what Tara said, too, that he, like, Joffrey's not worth dying for. And also, too, like, he made a very compelling thing what he said to Jamie. Like, even though you made a deal with dad, what happened to
Starting point is 00:07:27 to Ned Stark. He was probably, yes, I know Joffrey was in charge, but he was promised, you know, Knights Watch too, right, at the wall. So I'm not confessing to something I did not do, to something I'm not guilty of. I'm going to speak for myself and
Starting point is 00:07:43 speak from the heart. So I freaking love Tyrion, man. He's so funny. He's quick-witted, but also he sticks to his guns. He's such a selfless man. And literally say he gave that inspirational speech to the soldiers. He stood, I mean, he stood with the soldiers and was fighting there.
Starting point is 00:08:02 And look what he got for his troubles. This. Yeah, for his reputation, is his reputation tarnished. And he's being accused again of something he had nothing to do with. Yeah. But it was an incredible and riveting speech. Yeah. I can't wait to watch just that speech again.
Starting point is 00:08:21 I'm probably going to, when we get out of here, I'm probably going to watch it again on YouTube. It was that good. Yeah. I think the best lines from that speech, specifically where I am on trial for being a dwarf, and I always have been. It is what I have been on trial for all of my life. That sticks, because that is truly what it is. He was born, how he was born, and just immediately was hated by his entire family.
Starting point is 00:08:47 And he is literally the only one. That is good. That is truly good. And it's so sad to see. Yeah, no, you're right. And just really quick, I do agree with everything you just said. But Jamie is really, honestly, the redemption arc we have gotten and the more we've gotten into his backstory with why he killed the Mad King and also not only that he was going to burn everyone, but that the order he gave him to take out his dad. Like family means a lot to him and just he's a very sympathetic character too with the more we learn about him.
Starting point is 00:09:21 So he's an incredible character as well. I just, I never thought I'd have these feelings towards Jamie. Like from the moment he pushed Brian out the window, I was like I always thought I'd hate his guts and never have any feelings for him. Love makes you do crazy shit. Yeah, it does for sure. But I really care for his character a lot
Starting point is 00:09:40 at this point in time. Yeah. The alignment with Jamie and Tyrion, it's aligning really well now that we found out the true, you know, all the juice about Jamie and that, you know, he is willing to give his life for his brother. and he very much said Circe has manipulated
Starting point is 00:09:58 this whole thing. So he's not so cuckoo bananas that he's like whatever Circe wants to do, I stick with her. Thank goodness we're not at that point. So seeing him fight for his brother is
Starting point is 00:10:13 it's a great thing to see. And not only that, it's so impressive about this whole thing with Jamie too. Like this was his son too, right? That even though Joffrey was an awful evil human being. Joffrey was still Jamie's son. So he could have been emotionally compromised
Starting point is 00:10:30 to this whole situation that Tyrion is still his brother, but he didn't. He was hearing the facts and seeing that none of this really adds up. This is not Tyrion, would not do any of this. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:10:40 So I appreciate how observant that he was to this entire situation knew it was BS and baloney. Yeah. I mean, it's fun to see, you know, the character arc with Jamie and we'll see, you know, how far it goes. I'm curious if, like,
Starting point is 00:10:53 Tyrion would choose his brother as his champion. I don't know if he would be allowed. I would love that. That would be cool. And I would love to see Circe's reaction to see that. Yeah, right? Because she wouldn't want him to do that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:09 And again, as you guys know, I would never make a guess of stuff that I remember. For sure. For sure. And you guys know that I've said that multiple times. Yeah. No, if you've truly forgotten, you're good. Yeah. So, all right.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Fellow reject, I've learned the hard way that more effort isn't always the answer. Sometimes it's pacing. There were stretches in my life where I was training hard, working nonstop, still hitting that midday brain fog and fatigue. Truth be told, still deal with that like pretty much like every week. However, the thing I take to counter that when I realize I should slow down is this bad boy. I am a devotee to liquid IV. I take hydration very, very serious. It really did click with me when I started getting my health in order, post-workout especially.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Like, I sweat a lot. Sometimes I hit that steam room, too. And I realized water alone just wasn't cutting it. Getting proper sodium and potassium, right, minerals make such a difference. That's exactly why I've been using Liquid IV's hydration multiplier daily. Last year, still now, I'm even going to go traveling and I'm bringing like a whole box with me. It's powered by LIV hydroscience with an optimized ratio of electrolytes. Essential vitamins and clinically tested nutrients that help hydrate faster than water alone.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Just one stick of this in 16 ounces of water or sometimes they even mix with like a protein shake. Gives three times the electrolytes of your leading sports drink. Plus eight essential vitamins and minerals. I rarely do get obsessed about that kind of thing, including B vitamins and vitamin C, immunity brain, baby. So I always take one generally after a workout, sometimes during long workdays. Definitely when traveling or hitting higher altitudes. I tend to keep like a packet.
Starting point is 00:12:49 in my bag everywhere I go. It's easy. Just tear it, pour it, mix it. I love flavors like this one, the lemon lime. I also got it home, the passion fruit. The tropical punch. There's a lot of sugar-free options as well. They're non-GMO vegan, free from gluten, dairy, and soy, and no artificial sweeteners.
Starting point is 00:13:05 So if you related with anything I had to say, I can tell you right now, you could rehydrate with better hydration from liquid IV. Tear, live more. Go to Liquidiv.com and get 20% off your first order with code rejects. That's 20% off with code rejects at liquid ivy.com. Thank you, Liquidiv, for not only sponsoring this video, but being part of literally my day-to-day. Go ahead. We'll be the next one.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Last question here from Lucy Peralta. Thank you so much for being a royal reject. We're asking a question. We appreciate you so much. Hey, Tara and Andrew. Hey, Lucy. Thank you for reacting to this awesome show. It's fantastic to relive iconic moments through your eyes.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Knowing how much you love Tyrion, in case heartbreak is quantifiable. How bad did... Quantifiable. Thank you so much. How bad did it hurt to hear Shea testifying against him, sending much love your way? I don't know if you saw my head go down,
Starting point is 00:14:04 but it went down for a good three seconds. I will tell you this, because I'm sure there probably are going to be some comments. They're like, Angie, you looked up spoilers, or you've seen it before. That's why you get Shay. The music is honestly, I've told you guys this a million times,
Starting point is 00:14:17 music should always be a feeling and should not only elevate the score, but should tell you what is going on from a field perspective. When I heard the music, you know, go into a tragic type of feel like that, that's why I said Shay right there. So I've never seen the show, as I've pointed out many times, I would never guess something to something I have seen before or predict like that. That's what made my, that's what made my guard go up a little bit and like, please tell me it's not Shay right there. Yeah. It definitely. I definitely broke my heart when that happened, but also, of course, she's hurting right there. And we know why Tyrion had to do, where he couldn't be completely honest and open with her about what he was telling her when he had to break her heart.
Starting point is 00:15:02 He was protecting her. And I know, like, you know, honest communication is usually the way, but I understand why he had to do what he had to do. But unfortunately for him and came back to bite him a little bit here in the behind, and it sucks for him. though he was doing what he did to protect her out of love. But yeah, it sucks. It really hit the nail on the head, the last line that she said, which is a callback to what he said right before she left. She just said, I am a whore.
Starting point is 00:15:34 And the way that she said it was great because it's really just getting in there of like, don't, don't you freaking remember exactly what you told me right before I last saw you? So, you know, she's wildly hurt, which I would understand. And she just doesn't, she doesn't realize. So I know that someone got to her, but there's also so much pain there because of how much she loved him. She wanted them to run away together that, of course, she, you know, I mean, we've all been there, right? Let's say you go through a breakup and it's bad. And that person says some shit at the end.
Starting point is 00:16:13 you kind of think for a minute, like for a while, how can I seek vengeance? And this is her revenge right now as we see it. I still think she had so much love for him, but she doesn't know what he was doing. She still doesn't know the truth of why he did that. So I don't blame her for really getting in there. It was terribly sad and really heartbreaking. but she was all she's also really broken. I agree with everything you just said that she is really broken,
Starting point is 00:16:48 but to stand there and still say that, oh, her and Sansa plan this out to kill Joffrey. That's taking it a little too far from, in my particular opinion. So that's why I'm like wondering, did anyone get to her? Did Cersie get to her or something? Like I totally understand she's hurt and she's furious.
Starting point is 00:17:10 at Tyrion, understandable, but to accuse him of for sure, like, yeah, there was a plot to kill Joffrey, like, hmm. Yeah. And I also think one of my, another favorite part was, well, I was terribly sad that I really did think
Starting point is 00:17:29 that Bran and John were going to be reunited and it was going to be a perfect moment. And when that was like ripped from us, when, of course, you know, he was convinced of like, yeah, you have to do the right thing. Like, do you, you need to be. be the three-eyed raven and if you go with john will just take you he'll take you back right he's
Starting point is 00:17:46 never gonna let you go and uh that was sad i really wanted him to see john i wanted that for john too like think of how cool that would have been but um you know i was just glad that john got to see ghost but that was that was cool when when bran got into hodor that was so exciting that was pretty awesome wasn't that the coolest never seen ever seen Hodor so violent like that, where he was kind of possessing him. Yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 00:18:16 how many times have we seen the Starks get so close to reuniting in so many different situations in the Red Wedding? And then also with Bran and John, like when he was up in that tower, just so many different times. Yeah. Ah, what's one of them going to reunite? Right.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Because they've literally been divided since, like, episode two or three of season one or something like that. Totally. And then just never gotten. back together, right? For the most part, just any of them. It just like to at least see one of the, one of the, or two of the siblings at least
Starting point is 00:18:48 reunite at some point in the show. It would be nice, but. I hope so too. Yeah. And then also, too, seeing the, the psychological effects on Theon Grayjoy, that was wild. I am reek. I am reek. I mean, but.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Oh, God. Yeah, understandable. From his perspective to see why he's feeling after everything he has been through, I can understand that perspective. of why he's feeling that way and not wanting to, and feeling like an actual dog trapped in a cage.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Not wanting to go back home. That is his home now. Yeah. So, and also Ramsey, like that actor who plays him, the sadistic, facial expressions that he, uh,
Starting point is 00:19:28 he, uh, has on display. Very impressive and scary at the same point. So I agree. Um, I, I think that,
Starting point is 00:19:37 you know, the really cool writing part again. I mean, a lot of this writing is just perfect, but is when they're like, what about your brother? And she's like, my brother is dead. And I'm like, that's honestly, it's sad, but it's the perfect way to describe it. Theon Grayjoy no longer exists.
Starting point is 00:19:52 And then we go back to where Ramsey Stowe is like, you're going to play a character. You're going to play Theon Grayjoy. And I'm like, what the actual F, dude? That's wild. For sure. I'm curious if when he does have him do that, playing that role as Theon Grayjoy.
Starting point is 00:20:07 If he can do it. Well, not only if he can do it. I have no doubt that he could probably do it because, like, he's his dog, right? Yeah. In terms of that. But is this going to give him total recall of remembering who he was? That's what I'm curious. If it all starts coming back.
Starting point is 00:20:23 Yeah. It's all coming back. It's all coming back to me now. There's a lot of stuff going on. Also, too, about DeNaris, just everything she's going through. She's such a compassionate, wonderful person. I love the way she rules with respect. instead of fear.
Starting point is 00:20:40 But also too, I'm curious to see if we're going to get back to trying to take control of her with the dragons because it seems like they're doing their own thing. So I'm curious if we get back
Starting point is 00:20:50 to that as well. And we both really like Davos speech where he came in for Stanis. I mean, that was quite a shift that we've never seen Davos been given that kind of like a monologue
Starting point is 00:21:06 where he really opened up and I got like goosebumps. So I was like, oh, he's fighting for his king. Yeah. And Skip, too. He's given money to his friend is like, the rest is with your wife. You're like, that's Davos. And the fact that, like, he caught off his hand and he's going, do you want to know who's
Starting point is 00:21:22 fair? The person who did this. That's a wild. That's a really loyal state of mind. Yeah. That's hard to find. He is a very loyal guy, but also, too, like, I love that that scene. And the show in general has always kept me on my toes.
Starting point is 00:21:36 And from a subverting expectation. point of view, I really thought Stannis was going to go off on those guys. But no, he kept himself composed, but still laid it out, like, this is where this man stands and this is why you should give him the money. And also, too, I know I made that statement that Tywin is old. I just meant he's older in the sense that 67, especially in this time, you don't know how many more years that he's going to live. And if they're this much in debt, you want to, you know, invest your money in someone that you're probably going to get your money back at some point. You want to have a good investment in.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Totally. I like the argument, though, that that Davos was making for him is really compelling. I agree. It's such a great part of the show. Great two episodes. Make sure, guys, leave us some comments.
Starting point is 00:22:24 Obviously, no spoilers. If you've already gone through it, tell us, you know, what was your favorite part? What part did you not like? Tell us the juice. Terrian. Yeah, be nice, be cool, be kind.
Starting point is 00:22:34 You know how to do it. We will see you. Next time. Thank you.
