Thank you to Hewle for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
Tara just pulled up Halloween Resurrection,
and I see Jamie Lee Curtis has long hair,
so I'm curious how we go on here.
Yeah, I'm ready.
Shall we do it?
Let's do it.
Three, two, one.
I did it.
This is a Reject Nation.
I have some updates for you guys.
They're very important updates.
Number one, Tara, you and I continue.
Well, first of all,
Apple, Spotify, five-star.
Thank you, Preper, for helping edit us down.
I know these horror movies are difficult,
so we really appreciate you.
Tara, you and I continue to not remember anything.
Ryan Merriman is the guy who's watching on the cameras the whole time,
and he was the lead of Final Destination 3.
Oh, I've never seen any of the Final Destination movies.
I thought didn't you watch them after Greg and I watched them?
Weren't you part of that second crew?
I was not.
Oh.
Well, I didn't remember that, and I just watched them for the channel.
So that was that.
Um, the guy that I was like, what was he, an entourage or something?
Nope, continued to not remember what I'm talking about.
He played Lenny Bruce on Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
And I was like, I knew he's on a current show.
Oh, yes.
I love, love that show.
Yes.
Sean Patrick Thomas, who I was like, oh, I definitely know who he is, uh, who played Rudy.
Um, he is Polarity on Gen V, another show that I absolutely love.
Is that my guy that I liked that I had the crush on?
Nope.
No.
Um, you're great.
is named
Thomasian
Nicholas
He was in eight episodes
of party of five
American Pie
Yeah you're right about that
I did say American Pie
Finally I got there
You did at the first
Yeah
He's Kevin and American Pie
What was the TV show?
Party of Five he was in eight episodes of
Okay
What about
Any more TVs before that?
A million
What do you want to do?
Okay. Then that must be why.
We've got a ton of questions.
Yeah, so let's just jump right into it,
but we just had to look up a little bit of the cast.
For sure. I know. I love that.
Oh, sorry, before we jump into it,
I do want to see how many projects Buster Rhymes ended up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would like to know as well.
Oh, he's in the most recent naked gun, which I didn't see.
Apparently, let's see.
He plays a bank robber in that.
Other than that, he did two episodes of Everybody Hates Chris.
Yeah, no, it seems like this was the peak of his
You had an episode of fresh off the boat
An episode of Master of None
Uh
Yeah, it seems like this was where the career, the acting career
Peaked
Um, started and stopped
Yeah
Uh, yeah, yeah
Everything else is a music video.
Okay, happy love, love it
Curious about that
Uh, let's get into these
if you're a patron, you get to ask us questions.
We appreciate you guys doing so.
Don't forget you probably, if you're a patron,
get 15% off of this, RejectNation Shop.com.
Yeah, maybe.
Our sick-ass merch.
Better go get it.
Get it Halloween status.
Also, we have really cool with Michael Myers on them.
She Jek's gear.
That's awesome on the site.
So check that out.
Here we go.
Valerie Fisher.
Tara and Roxy first.
I love watching the thesis horror movies.
Thesis?
These is?
horror movies with you guys.
And if you could go stay in Michael Myers' house,
for a reality show, would you do it?
I know I wouldn't unless I could go with some friends.
Thanks, Valerie.
I would not, even if I could go with friends.
No, thanks.
I would go into it, but I wouldn't stay there.
Like, I would do a tour.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A tour, a tour is good.
I'd probably do the tour.
Jane Rhodes, among the fans of the franchise,
this movie is considered terrible and disrespectful to the franchise.
But I'm question is how do y'all feel about,
killing off Laura right off the bat.
I'm guessing you mean
Lori Strode.
I don't think they killed her.
I think she's alive.
Yeah.
But that's a bummer.
I wish she was in the whole movie.
And I understand why the fans don't love this one.
Yeah.
Don't feel great about not having Lori in this one.
But also with the writing,
don't think it could have saved it.
I'm with it.
That it's terrible.
And I do think, especially after H-2-0,
it is a bit disrespectful to the franchise they made a bunch of like terrible time jokes they tried to like make it funny and like uh didn't go over well we really gave this a fair shot yeah it wasn't until we were halfway that i was like um yeah not feeling it like they didn't make us care about because we opened with lory which is why we cared at all like yeah yes this was not a great one um i think john must have been making a joke but before we started john was like this is the best one of the franchise so i was kind of hoping it was going to
be good. Right.
D.K. Lounge.
Jamie Lee Curtis did not want to come back as she felt H2 had a perfect ending for both
Michael and Lori, but was upset to learn they already had the Michael Pan
paramedic swap twist set up in case H2 got a sequel.
She only agreed to come back in exchange for a lot of money and the condition that
they permanently kill Lori off at the start of the movie so that she could finally move
on from this franchise. Hashtag trick-or-treat motherfucker.
Wow.
When bus rides had trick-or-treat motherfucker, I was like, I've heard that before.
Is that from him?
I have, too.
I, I, maybe it's from this.
Maybe this is what started.
I don't know.
But this must not have permanently killed her off because.
Yeah, I mean, she's in the last, last one or something.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, I don't know.
But thank you for that fact.
I understand, though, why she would, why she'd be like, that is a perfect ending,
but then be pissed that it was a swap out.
Yeah.
And I'm kind of glad that she did get murder at the top
Because I'm going to tell you right now
If she read the whole script, I don't think she would have signed off on it
We have more questions for this movie than we've ever had for any movie before
So that's an interesting thought
Michael Medina Catheria
Hey ladies, this is one of the Halloween movies that I rewatched the most
It's probably one of the most disliked
You can tell how inspired they were by previous films
Scream Blair Witch Project oh
I called that out
I think I really enjoyed the premise slash plot of this movie
but the execution was lacking.
I completely agree with that.
Was there anything in this film
that you enjoyed more than the others,
found the kills to be more fun
and Michael himself felt more ominous and scary?
I like the idea that somebody else was dressed as Michael,
that there was two Michaels going around.
And I like the premise of people watching
and that being creepy.
They're watching in the house.
Totally.
I agree with the premise and plotted's movie
was actually cool.
The execution was so majorly lacking.
Terrible.
Terrible execution.
Was that the girl from the last movie?
I didn't even look that up.
Oh, yeah.
we've got to figure that out rocks you said it and i was like i don't know i and you know what there i don't
think that there's really honestly anything that i enjoyed more than the others except it was a little
freaky to see the the downstairs area where michael is actually living that was kind of fun um
and i do agree with the double michael thing like it there was one continuity thing when he kills katie
sack off his knife is
clean and that was
the one way he cleaned it in the
he must have but I wish they would have done a pickup
on that Tara she was not in another
ho oh my god
I legit thought
she was that other girl the whole time
yes you did and I didn't correct you
because I didn't know I was like I
I have no idea she doesn't look like her
I didn't think so but
oh man yeah okay wild
wild wild
Residence Z.
Shijeks.
How do you feel about the camera
POV parts of the movie?
At the time, it was pretty new
and it thought
it was an interesting way to go.
Plus, it would add doubt
to people watching,
which makes sense.
I could have done without Buster Rhymes.
Yeah, not the greatest acting part in there.
A lot of his lines,
I think,
not him being disrespectful,
but that writing,
ridiculous.
Like, why are we making it more ridiculous
than it is?
That was a tough role.
the POV I of the
Blair which was 99 by the way
Oh okay so
And yeah this came out after
Okay yeah that makes sense
I like the POV of the camera
The camera stuff that was good
It's just again like the execution of it
I think it could have done a little bit better
Yeah agreed
Stone Trunks love your name
So she Jex what did you all think of the internet show
Slash found footage gimmick
And do you think that they tried making the movie today
They could have pulled it off better
Yes.
Yeah.
I think that this really could have worked.
Like if you told me before we started, this next Halloween movie is a found footage
internet show of everybody locked in the house and people watching trying to give them
advice on how to get out, it reads as like Hunger Games meets Halloween.
I would have been like, that's sick.
Right.
I didn't care about any of the characters at all.
Nope.
Which is a big problem.
So I think that if they had more time to write the script, I don't know how much time they have,
but like if they really, really, and it has to have lore.
and she has to come back, save the day, something.
Like, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I definitely think, like, today somebody would get in there,
rewrite the script, not put a bunch of jokes
and definitely focused on making it scary.
And most of rhymes maybe would be a different character.
The writing of them looking at the footage would be different.
Tyra wouldn't just be a pretty face who's like,
calm down, we're doing that.
That's all great.
people
the smarter of the writers
would have fixed it
like your tire banks and you kill her off screen
totally so
Jay Rushden
what you think of movie returning
and was ending predictable there
what's movie returning
like probably coming back
after H2O I assume is what he means
and was ending predictable
it definitely was not predictable
to me
so if Buster Rimes was alive
I was like wait what
exactly like and him saying trigger treat motherfucker uh was not predictable a lot of his like ridiculous we should
dang we need to get that out by in the next week we need to do that actually we'll maybe on the back
of these we should add it we should add it that'd be hilarious but well uh because it's just
ridiculous it's just ridiculous this movie returning i do agree with what people said
I don't, this movie was, it's not good.
I don't know how you had producers sit in a room and you screen this for them.
If I was one of them, I'd be like, take my name off.
This isn't going out.
I don't know what you thought this was going to be.
But whoever did this film and thought, it's ready to go.
It wasn't.
Definitely wasn't.
Reject Nation, at the start of this year, I was sitting in over 20% body fat,
At 218 pounds, I was end of January, as of a couple weeks ago, finally took the photos I've been talking about it all year.
I completed the mission.
Six-pack abs came in, 8% body fat, 170 pounds.
You could check out all the transformations on Instagram, but that's not why I'm here today.
I'm here today to tell you that a big part of how I accomplished that journey was about staying consistent with my nutrition.
And the best way to do this is by keeping things simple, like having a Hewell Black Edition ready to drink a complete meal.
in a bottle have these a couple times a week.
That first crack, it's always amazing.
It's a full meal in a bottle packed with 40 grams of protein.
27 vitamins and minerals, slow release carbs, low sugar, no prep, no cleanup.
Just shake it and go.
I've got a fridge full of these.
We've got three fridges and they're all full of them.
I'd like to grab them on shoot days, gym days, or I'm just too damn tired to cook,
which is an often Greg thing.
But more importantly, they taste good.
Chocolate and vanilla.
Classics are my go-toes.
smooth tastes like actual milkshake but they got a whole bunch of other flavors you can catch on their
website plus it's under three bucks a meal which has helped my gains and my budget so reject nation

Mark Leach
Is my least favorite
Out of all the Halloween films
The gimmick of reality TV
Was perfect for this time
What gimmick do you think
That they would have done
If it was made today
I was thinking they may try
Screen Life
Like unfriendly searching, etc., yeah
Which would have been awful
I think it could have been interesting
But maybe something like only fans related
That could be fun
Yeah, because we always need Tata and Bunda.
Or like a content house, you know, those content houses that exist.
Totally.
They're like doing the Instagram, the TikToks, but Michael, he's, maybe they all move in to
a new house that the production renovated, but they never looked at the basement and
Michael's been down there.
This isn't my pitch for a Halloween movie, but if you're saying, well, gimmick today.
Exactly.
We're just pulling shit out of our ass.
Yep.
We'd be riffing.
Alex Danner, and my question,
for your reaction to Halloween 4.
I mentioned that the series itself
is a choose-your-own adventure
because of the various timelines.
We now have reached that point,
the first branch, if you will,
H-2-0 picks up after the very first two films
and ignores all the other sequels,
Halloween 1, Halloween 2, then H-2,
then-Resurrection.
What are your expectations for the series going forward?
And are you still excited for the future installments?
Are you worried about the deviations?
I'm kind of worried that Lori's not going to be in it for a while now.
We know she's in the future ones, but, you know, there are 13 of these movies.
We're on eight.
So I'm worried about Halloween movies without Lori.
Lori is, to me, my favorite part of the Halloween movies.
So, but then I've seen the most recent ones.
And I remember really liking it.
So where are you at, Tara?
This, if I was her.
I would be pissed and say, I'm never going to, the fact that you wrote off at H2O and now this is what you bring after, it's not even in the same caliber of film.
So this film specifically does not make me excited about future installments.
H2O did.
She was saying, oh, it's not going to be him.
And I'm like, that's exciting.
Then we find out the beginning of this movie, it's not him.
Okay, cool.
How are you going to deal with that?
They didn't.
It ain't lordy to deal.
It wasn't fun.
It wasn't, this was not fun.
And it's like, because we just didn't care about any of the characters.
Why would we have cared about these people?
We just.
They weren't related to Loomis.
They weren't related to Lori or the Stroads in general.
It wouldn't even have mattered if they had put some foundational work in there
and made us care about a few of them.
But like, why not use Josh Hartnett?
I know.
I know.
Like, he probably was on the same with, with, with, uh,
Lori, being like, I'm not going to come back because that was a great ending.
They probably had no idea that they were like, the switch out paramedic thing.
Yeah, H2O was so good.
This movie was not good.
I just cannot believe the producers went from H-D-O to this.
But the one before H-2O wasn't good either.
I know, I know.
Remember halfway through that movie and I said, this movie is not good.
It's not good.
But then H-2-O brought us back.
And I was like, hell yeah.
Maybe now they're getting smart to it.
They're getting smart up here by being like, we need to stop making crap Halloween.
movies and then you know here we are i think the next two are rob zombies Halloween movies oh i think
they're called Halloween and Halloween two oh but i don't think she's in the i'm not sure we'll have
to see leon oh three do you think Halloween resurrection is a worthy follow-up to h jo's storyline
despite the death of lorry and that her son not been even mentioned in the final cut warning
y'all need to buckle up for rob zombies remake oh boy as there's some material
that you both will not be too proud of
I hope you all can watch
a producer's cut of Halloween 6
in a bonus video as I would love to see your thoughts
on that infamous cut
I wonder what they're talking about
Halloween 6 was two videos ago
yeah it was the one we didn't like
yeah but what got cut
yeah
is an infamous cut let us know what it is
because we're not doing it I think
yeah but yeah let us know
the cut crazy her son wasn't mentioned here
we didn't go to her funeral
I guess
you saying to buckle up for Rob Zombie
and that we're not going to be proud of it
makes me think like, what could that mean?
Yeah.
I like Rob Zombie, so.
Either it's really bad
or the way they go about it
is like,
must be just like Wackadoo Wild.
When I hear not proud of something,
it makes me think that something's going to be sexist,
homophobic, racist.
Exactly.
Like a product of their time.
but the those movies are in the late 2000s right so I don't know I don't know man now
late 2000s wasn't any good you know it was still it was rocky times let's see when it is
so you know and and just to answer your question if you didn't I mean I feel like we've
already answered it but no this was not a worthy follow up to H2O to at all by any means I'm
surprised it got passed on 2007
is
the next movie
Rob Zombie
I'm just going to let you know
from Jump
I don't see
Jamie
so that's a bummer for us
And then Halloween
2 is 2009
Oh
and the main character
is played by a person
named Scott Taylor Compton
and she's playing
Lori Strode
So it must be a real reboot
reboot
Okay
All right
Okay
I'm proud of us
For not watching the reboot
When we meant to watch
the original
Like we've done
sometimes
We've done that
We've done that.
We really have.
Tara, not this time.
I think we didn't need to GTFO.
Yeah, we really do.
This is not exciting for me.
I hope I move on to another better movie after this.
Any final thoughts?
Like, I still love the franchise guys.
Don't get me wrong.
But like, we're here to tell you the truth.
And this is not a good film.
Like, I feel like, put me and Roxy in the room.
We could have made it better.
That's all I got to say.
I agree.
I agree.
A little behind the scenes information for you.
guys. I watched Coraline before this. That movie was awesome. It makes this movie even worse
because of what you just said. The thing I said at the end of watching Coraline is I could
never have made this movie in a million years. And that's why it's so amazing. I could never
have done this. Yeah. And then just hearing you be like, put us in a room, we could make a better
movie. I'm like, yeah, that's exactly what it is. Like, yeah, that's a bummer.
All right. Well, y'all, stay safe. Stay sane. Go get our Halloween gear.
And we'll probably come up with the shirt, if not put trick-or-treat M or Fers on the bag of this.
So if you order it in the next week or whatever, you got to figure it out.
It might be back there.
We'll see.
A third option.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Totally.
Like on the lower back.
On the lower back, like hashtag it, though, or something that's so stupid.
So stupid.
So good.
So dumb.
All right.
Later, Rejects.
