Starting point is 00:00:25 Celebrate in a fashion responsible. You have to have the age legal for consuming thank you guys so much let's go let's do it all right i guess we're going to talk about this now oh my god all righty well um citizens of the reject nation we just watched harry potter and the deathly hollows part uno um Yeah, that was an experience. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:01 That was so different. Thanks to Prepper for editing now in these reaction highlights. And if you're listening to Apple or Spotify, please give this video a rating that you believe to be true to your heart. Tara, I'll go to you first. You didn't cry for Dumbledore. You didn't cry for... What's his name?
Starting point is 00:01:26 Sirius Black. Yeah. But you cried for Dobby. Yeah. You were so affected. Why? Why were you so affected this time? He just, he's just so, I mean, I was, of course, sad about them.
Starting point is 00:01:40 But I think there's something about Dumbledore that sort of reminds you at my mom. Because he's just so, I know, this is weird. Listen, my mom had Lupus and M.S. So she was like a weak and really sweet. And Dumbledore seems he's seen. like that he just seems like a little guy who's just like I'm really golly Dobby I'm sorry yeah I meant Dobby I'm sorry Dobby reminds me of my mom because he's tiny and he's like weak and I don't know that just like it's it it's a thing that and he's really sweet and like when he was dying and he
Starting point is 00:02:16 was like I'm just really glad to be here with my friend I was like oh that I don't know that just really gets to me the other deaths were just like they were killed and it was like a deal and then there's still like chaos after and this was like I just I don't know there's something about it that I was like this little guy he he really came through for them and then he gets hurt but he is not even upset about it he's just like this is beautiful and I'm happy to be here with my friend Harry Potter and I just thought that that was really sweet and Harry they bury him right and he's like not with magic there's just something about that miss your mom a lot huh and whenever you talk about whenever something reminds you of her i didn't know that i see it
Starting point is 00:03:11 happens i understand i understand i'm great i'm glad you got to express that yeah damn damn yeah yeah was sad it's like yeah because like even dumb that was really sad series black was sad but it's like there's just there's like the nature of dauby that he just seems so sweet and kind of weak and little like you want to protect him and then he he dies you know versus like serious black and dumbledore that totally sucked it's just their strength was always there and i think that's what gets me yeah it's interesting what we subjectively uh apply or projector what happens when we When someone to care, like oftentimes your character does that's easy. You just chalk up to who the character is and you like unpack like,
Starting point is 00:04:01 why did this one make, get me? Yeah. Because there's like plenty of times where one of us will cry and one of us doesn't cry. Right. Absolutely. Like the last thumbnail to Craig is sobbing. And I think I'm just like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:15 It's like it's always subjective though. There's always a subjective reasoning of why we're connecting in a moment like that. So I was curious to know why that, why that was actually happening. because yeah i mean like context wise alone it's it's heartbreaking it's it's really sad yeah but he's not even as big of a character as dumbledore in serious black which i understand i did think those things were sad but yes there was something that got to me there no yeah i get it like uh no i i was shocked that that happened it's and it was one of the for me it was one of those moments where um I kind of like
Starting point is 00:04:58 it's a strange thing versus like I kind of shut sometimes I'm either going to get really emotional or you could shut it or my heart's going to shut down because I'm just so like shocked by like oh shit
Starting point is 00:05:09 absolutely this this character and I'm really surprised I didn't even like text wise remember that is a thing that's supposed to happen like I didn't even remember like I remembered that at some point
Starting point is 00:05:22 Dumbledore will pass and I don't know when that is but at some point he will. Yeah. I didn't even remember that Dobby at some point will pass. So I was like, oh shit, this is like really shocking to me. And yeah, it does remind me like a damn good pet. Yeah, you know, like just a little thing you want to protect and have around.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Yeah, because it hasn't been around. No. Just like shows back up in this movie and just like, I'm the best off of you. I know, right? He comes through the best time and the way that he treated Ron. He was like, it's really nice to see you again. He shakes his hand. And it's just, it's this great.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I just love him. But like for the whole movie as a whole, I mean, I'm just really glad that we got to see, I think it's really great writing where they put Harry, Hermione, and Ron on, in traveling together, but there's a way that they find a way to sort of detach them and have like sort of a dark night of the soul where they get separated and their friendship is at like a crux, right? A horror crooks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And then they, they, the way that it comes back together with Harry giving Ron the power to destroy this thing, I think full well knowing that it's going to give Ron back his power and like his brain will be restored in a way. It'll bring him back to just being Ron. And we definitely saw that when he walks up and he goes. Hey, I'm like, that's Ron. That's the Ron we know that we were, like, missing throughout this entire movie. Yeah, I mean, I thought it was great.
Starting point is 00:07:04 I have, I'm sure I have more thoughts, but I'll let you have at it. What did you think, Greg? Hmm. I would say that this is my, probably my second favorite of the ones we've watched so far. I would be, I would, probably might have to agree with you. it comes close to being number one yeah i can't imagine that's a popular opinion hmm yeah i don't know but these are our opinions not yeah so i i would say that um i guess just the sensibilities of this film or just the kind of thing that
Starting point is 00:07:43 perhaps you might not catch us reacting to here often on the channel right but the kind of shit i would put on and get absorbed on my own time you know one of those flicks of just the type of stark um slow build pacing gritty uh yeah it's just like very just atmospheric and moody but not pretentiously dower it just it feels like this this grim paul that is just cast over everything and it's like survival yeah um and i like i love the locations like this one is the least magical of all of them it is by i think like by and large the least magical of them all that i mean there's magic for sure but after like the first 20 minutes it's like the first half there's more magic but i don't know why i'm doing this but it's just like it's just like you're in all these different
Starting point is 00:08:40 environments and locations and the mixture of muggle world and wizarding world uh that are coming to a head right now and the escalating danger in just the focus of these three who are genuinely alone and have to fend for themselves and it's like the six movies or six books of experience that they've gathered is now coming into the fold in a way that doesn't feel like adventurously exciting it is no it's real world it is hopeless and our and we don't know what we're doing or where to go and we got to improvise this I think the only thing that kind of holds me back is because a lot of those things that I said from like slow build and all that i think there is like a 10 to 15 minute chunk where it did feel like
Starting point is 00:09:29 okay now you're kind of a little bit some of that affect is becoming a little draggy and like there's like 10 minutes where i don't even i don't even specifically remember when that was that like 10 to 15 minute was it when they were showing the locations of the tent i don't i don't remember it was sometime in their and there are time in the woods and when it was just okay when it was i think when it was just harry and hermine yeah hermine and like i'm not i'm not sure when that little chunk was i just remember having that thought and feeling yeah where i'm like okay it's it's it's like at that percentage scale where i think now you're doing it a little too much where now it's affecting it down a little bit yeah that it's affecting the pacing now of the
Starting point is 00:10:12 experience when before i was like no i love the everything of the slow build and the mood and the hollowness this film is exuding right now. But then, yeah, there's like a little chunk where, and I think like that's the one, the prisoner of Ascaband is a damn near perfect film to me. And it never felt that way. And I think like, that's the one little thing I have on this movie is I felt that for like a few minutes.
Starting point is 00:10:38 But it was only just a few minutes in a little moment. And then eventually it comes back where all that mood is still permeating and overwhelming um because yeah it does feel just they are wrapped in the the world Voldemort has now manifested this you you are in Voldemort's climate now yeah and uh I like just how like the odds feel insanely stacked against them and um yeah I and I love its commitment to the the bleakness this is the bleakest one and I love the commitment to just how bleak it is and I think the three leads. Like this movie leans, this movie hinges so much on your investment of Harry Rodner
Starting point is 00:11:26 her body. Yes. Because it's not them doing like a bunch of magic show stuff or anything like some crazy adventure at Hogwarts. No. They're just out in the real world. It relies on that relationship. Exactly. And that, that bond that we've built with these characters and seeing him full on go adulting.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Right. I mean, from the top of the. film when Hermione has to take her parents' memories away, that is some rough stuff, right? And like Harry and like his mean family, great, get out. And then Ron, I mean, they all put them, Ron and the Wieslies, they put themselves in it in a very precarious position in order to help Harry because he is family. And we're just all seeing. them step up to the plate and they're not children anymore and like we're full on reminded of that it from the top of this film just like when the twins were like uh i think it's been pretty hard
Starting point is 00:12:31 anyway like you don't think we've defended your life before like wake up harry like we know what we've signed up for which i really liked and that wasn't parents saying that that was the the twins that's them saying like we get it man we and we finally get to see them step into which i also think was fun the real world and out of out of the school and into what reminded me of like mod squad when they're like walking down the street and the three of them and the lighting's great and they have like street clothes on and the way that they they framed it the uh the shot is a little bit downward looking up at them it slowed down slightly it's great and i think in the thing that you were mentioning where it sort of dragged a little bit when it was with Harry and
Starting point is 00:13:17 Hermione, there is one, during that part a little bit and the master shots of all the continents that they want to and the tents looking so small and making them feel very isolated, sort of remind me of like an A24 film. It reminded me of indie, like especially when Harry dances with her name. Oh, but I love that scene. That's my favorite. I don't think that's dragged and I love 824 films, but I don't know if that's, I don't think that that's the part that you thought was dragging. But I, during that part, there was parts of it that kind of made me, I don't know, it just took me back to an indie type of feel that it wasn't, um, boogie or two. I don't know the word that I'm trying to say for it, but I really liked that vibe.
Starting point is 00:14:12 It's the same grittiness and sort of like feeling that you were talking about before. Well, it really captures, too, that I like how winter-reed this one is, too. You know, normally winter is a chapter in these movies, and this whole thing kind of exudes that wintry vibe. Even though it does span a few months, it, that, like, winter, the atmosphere of winter can be beautiful, but so stark and, dark yeah and and i think they really know how to ride that mood that the weather of winter does yeah and i i loved it even like that even and that's what i think i think there's a constant contrast happening of oh you're it's beautiful in the woods but it's also dangerous out here in the woods like that that woods chasing towards the end was a really um compelling one too yeah like
Starting point is 00:15:02 how like stripped down this one is you know it's kind of like so anti what the other ones are in a strange way because of how stripped down it is, of how like just real world it feels. Yeah. But I think that's really cool to do prior to going into what I imagine would be a very fantastical final movie. Like it has to be, right? Like it's the final one.
Starting point is 00:15:29 So you go as dark as you can before you go in. It's like before you even go darker, maybe. Yeah, they either go darker or you freaking go like. Or you bring it up. I don't really know what you do. Like do we win or whatever. I mean, that's usually what you do, right? Like you get your empire strikes back before return of the Jedi.
Starting point is 00:15:49 You get your two towers before you get your return to the king. Right. That's usually what you got to do. Right. I think doing that is cool. And I could see how, because I'm of two minds about the way this movie ended. I didn't realize it was ending when it ended. First off, I was like, oh, that's over.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Yeah. Didn't realize. I know. It's about to end. Right. And there's two types of endings when you're doing like these chapters, right? You got your Lord of the Rings ones, which still feel like a complete story you told, even though it is just a part one, part two, part three.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Right. And then you got your hobbits, which feel like, I guess they just ended it here. And I think this is a little bit of both worlds, this ending here, because I can see contextually wise, like, that's actually a great cliffhanger spot. two ended at but there's something about it like it's it's very clear like this is definitely a part one versus um feel like it there is something where it did feel like a little bit of oh i guess it's it's over right um and that you need to just watch because the other ones have that where like the story's not done but it feels like a complete story uh the other harry potter movies
Starting point is 00:16:59 but this is literally a case of slicing a story in half taking a book in half and cutting it into two parts on and so yeah because like there's not really the you get some art you're like you get like a Ron arc that happens in the middle of the movie right and like the overall arc yeah but this one does end on the most dower of notes of the death of Dobby and Voldemort gets the ultimate weapon to kill Harry you know so yeah but I'm excited to see what happens I know me too I'm just gonna say this that And I think in this film, we got to see Hermione used the book, the thing that Dumbledore gave her. And then we got to see how Dumbledore gave what, it gave the light thing to Ron to lead him like back. And we still haven't gotten to see Harry use the thing where it says, I open at the close.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And that makes me think that will lead us to have to do something with Voldemort and something. with closing. Like that is on my brain where I'm like, those things that Dumbledore gave you are a way to sort of light your path. It's a way to fight back, which is why I guess, like maybe it's those
Starting point is 00:18:16 three things that will help them. I think it will. Obviously, it led us to the sword. And I'm very interested to see what I open at the close. What is in that? Because Hermione made the same guess that I did. There's something in that. And then when
Starting point is 00:18:32 breathe on it said i open at the clothes so what will that be and what is the clothes mean i'm very intrigued by that and i i'm very excited to watch the next one yeah yeah this one i thought was like the the scariest one just how it kind of gets under your skin and it's like i think it's the most human connection one yeah as well yeah it's the most mature one to me uh-huh yeah i mean oh my god Harry and Hermione full full ass naked Oh yeah Making out like they were going
Starting point is 00:19:08 Ham on it Yeah Wow This was a rather dark Experience but I actually loved The dark And I know that might Me too
Starting point is 00:19:17 Because of what we said During Order of Phoenix I think some people Might not think that we Like no actually This feels way darker Than Order of Phoenix But I personally
Starting point is 00:19:25 Would rank this As like number two for myself And yeah I think at terms of performances, I think hands down, this is the best, the three of every time. Absolutely. Like, this is by and large, their best work.
Starting point is 00:19:40 There are some things that happen, though, where I am like, like mad eye moody dying. Yeah. I think that just kind of just gets. We still haven't seen him. I'm like, are they trying to, like, mislead us? Yeah, like he's going to pop back up because I'm like, why would,
Starting point is 00:19:57 like, we didn't see it. someone said he fell off his broom but he wasn't riding a broom he was riding that motorcycle thing I thought no no Hagrid is Hagrid oh Hagrid yeah you're freaking right no mad he's the guy who was leading to charge no no I know I know who mad because his freaking I know you're talking about but still they didn't show us mad I yeah yeah and he's like the leader well they said mad I mood I would personally be a little even because they don't really i i can respect perspective like they weren't around for it and he died when they weren't around i can respect that but i don't feel like there was much of a moment exactly it was just sort of like
Starting point is 00:20:39 he's dead and i'm like wait what yeah i'm like this character who we've spent a pretty significant time with in certain variations um and uh same thing with i was i was bummed by the ministry of magic because you got bill nigh the movie literally starts with bill nine oh yeah and then he's and then he just killed off screen as well and It's not really, even though he wasn't a character, we were heavily invested in. Right. I don't know. The power in it.
Starting point is 00:21:03 That's like, it's very personal because I was like, I love Bill Nye. I think he's an incredible actor. Yeah. And so I was a little bit disappointed to be like, I mean, kill him off. Sure. Just like. There's no moment there. Just didn't happen in Oscar.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Yeah. He's like, oh, what the hell? Yeah. So yeah, there's a couple of things where you can feel some of the trimmings, despite the fact that they made this a part one and part two. But I don't know how it goes in the book. I really don't know. Um, but we are at the, uh, end here.
Starting point is 00:21:30 I want to read trivia normally, but I'm kind of afraid to have bleed into part two. They're gonna, they're gonna spoil something. Yeah, but, uh, yeah, I would give this like a, I think of nine, nine out of ten for me, man. I really enjoyed the hell out of this one. Me freaking too. This is amazing. This is an amazing one. They've all been pretty amazing.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Yeah. Filled with horror, filled with heart, filled with, uh, all the good juice. It's gnarly to think about where that started. Yeah. And we're like. It was like a child's movie the first one. I was thinking of that. When they were all in the castle, it's like so exciting.
Starting point is 00:22:03 You're like, we're learning magic. Open this closet door. And then like here we are full on like we are fighting for our lives. And this film really shows that darkness, which I really like. Like I said, it shows us we're full on adulting here, which is great. Anyway, guys, what do you guys think about this movie? leave your thoughts down below thank you so much for being on this journey should we do that pod let us know and we will do it to honor you subscribe click that bell we'll catch you guys soon
Starting point is 00:22:40 rejects place remember this moment if we ever get approached by them i can point to this moment ladies and gentlemen i don't know if you've ever had this thought before or where you go i feel like for the rest of my life i'm just going to be foggy minded genuinely there was a point where i thought Maybe I was just wired this way. I finally got a semblance of hope of that really changing the day I tried this bad boy right here, magic mind. Helms me lock in, stay present, and avoid that midday fog. Why I'm really excited about the gummies, but beyond it just, it's more tasty to have a gummy. I went to New York a couple months ago, and I packed so much of these in my suitcase, and it was just odd. I wish that I had this with me in New York, and now I can just travel with this bag, and I'm good to go.

Starting point is 00:24:53 Look at Felix walking the floor is dressed in a doctor's strange outfit. Everyone mistakes him for the real Benedict Cumberbatch everywhere he goes. Look at you spitting image. You know who else is the spitting image of their character is Dan Victorio, who dressed as Victor Victoria from the hit Ed Wood motion picture, Victor Victoria. Best of both worlds. Oh my God. Well, there's Mara. Wow. Who's dressed as a mermaid, full fins and all just flopping around like a dead fish.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Hey. Everywhere she goes or he goes or I'm not sure it doesn't matter. It's a fish. Gender doesn't matter. Hey, speaking of things that don't matter, it's defunct airlines and fly Pan Am, you matter to us because you have the most authentic Pan Am stewardess outfit just like the one seen. on the hits ABC TV show. Well, dude, there's Roblox, dude, 73.
Starting point is 00:25:57 He's walking the convention floors looking like Minecraft. I've never played Minecraft, but I think my sentence makes sense. He just looks like gray blocks. Oh. That's what Minecraft is, and that's why the kids are obsessed with it.
Starting point is 00:26:12 That's right. What's Morgan Cobb? Morgan Cobb showed up, dressed as both Morgan Freeman as a corn on the cob. brilliant which is a totally whimsical fun way to play on your own name whoa that's crazy alice goodwin is walking the floors looking just like jesus christ's son oh jesus christ too he's got spiky hair and a mustache love but he can walk on fire that's an awesome gift there elissa goodwin i'm excited to see you there at the convention halls oh yeah and i'm excited to see
Starting point is 00:26:47 king badger who showed up as a king rat version comprised of badgers so it's just like all their tails tied together and it's like a real animatronic piece you know it's like you had to hide yourself in the costume it's a real like judge impressor whoa well Heather petrullo showed up as two face today they did it all out they really burned half their face flesh is fresh Fresh this morning. Flesh fresh and it is gross. You know, who else has some flesh, fresh flesh is, is, Tots Sagwell, who is dressed as a stripper, Las Vegas stripper.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Why not? You know, because you got to show off the assets and that's an easy way to earn points with some fickle judges. That's crazy. Well, Mace Blair is dressed as. a guy with an arrest in his pants looking at Sagwell while he's just trying to man down his booth he's just trying to like hold down his artist booth where he's promoting his company because that's the way to do it and but he's distracted now and hitting people and knocking
Starting point is 00:28:05 over his business cards on the desks you know with his thing with the bat and hey though you know who's here to save the day it's justin cosnave dressed as Justin Hammer that's Right, his best Sam Rockwell impersonation, bringing some crazy, but also, you know, not very well-designed tech into the fold. We love a guy who makes his own props, and that's you, Justin. Well, Mac, he thinks he's at VidCon right now because he's going as Harry Mac. Harry Mac. He's going around the floor asking everyone, give me three words, and he is not doing as good of a job. But, you know, he looks like Harry Mac, so that's all that matters.
Starting point is 00:28:46 And you know who else looks like Harry Mac? It's Swavemaster. 42 came up with the same idea. And then they're going to have a rap battle in the middle of the cosplay competition to see whose bars are better on the spot and whose video can go more viral. And if you ask me, we need more viral content. Oh, I do. I love to see it.
Starting point is 00:29:07 What I love to see here is a snarled ASP is dressed up as Michael B. Jordan from the Creed movies. Creed movies with the killmonger tattoos and he's got a twin brother because he's doing all of Michael B. George. All of his movies. Oh no, he's also
Starting point is 00:29:30 a vampire. Where does it end? I hate to see Hill Fruitvale Station figures into this. Boeing 84 is here with springs on their hands and feet. No shit. And dressed as like a big
Starting point is 00:29:45 coil just doing you know the cool you know acrobatic approach to a costume you know and then you know just like going down the escalator as like a slinky very creative outside the box idea wow well Danny Rivera
Starting point is 00:30:01 is trying something experimental she's there as a river just flowing water destroying the grounds of WonderCon annoying people but she's promoting peace in some way
Starting point is 00:30:19 that's true and that's what we like to see at a convention we like peace and we also like family and speaking of family fam 5, 6, 7, 8 has dressed as all the members of the fast family is handing out coronas to everyone who's participating we love to see you in every costume all at once
Starting point is 00:30:41 it's like a fun choose your own adventure game one layer gets stripped off oh look you're the rock another gets stripped off oh look your Michelle Rodriguez so many tank tops well Shannon Darbone is going as Shannon Lee daughter of Bruce Lee oh yes that's good everyone including myself knows what she looks like and Shannon Darbone is is the spitting image of Shannon Lee this day oh but get this Elaine Dolalas is the spitting image of Elaine from science Oh, my God. Everybody loves a sitcom-based costume.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Got that, like, cool librarian style that she had before Julia Louis Dreyfus got, like, you know, super hot after that. Not that she wasn't hot, this is a different hot, but you're all the kinds of hot. Well, Huventino Salas is honoring his Mexican heritage today by dressing as Mickey Rooney from Breakfast to Tiffany's. This would we like to see. Pure, authentic Mexicanisms is what Juventi is what. Latino is doing. Absolutely. And you know who else is...
Starting point is 00:31:49 He's replacing his Ws with R as like real Mexicans. That's right. That's what they do. Learn to speak American, would you? Also, hey, Cyrus Sulkha has dressed up as Cyrus from spill.com. Really doing the deep cut costume
Starting point is 00:32:08 that only like five people of the convention who were on the internet back then are going to get. That's what we like. You know, sometimes you got to take a swing. You don't have to. to play to the common most mainstream costume sensibility you do your animated things cyrus we appreciate oh man well Aaron might have been able to top the whole thing because he's dressed as you guessed it
Starting point is 00:32:28 no Aaron Alexander hey whenever you point a camera at him he is falling asleep or leaning forward way too far yeah it is obnoxious breathing heavily into the microphones whenever you want to interview him it is spend fabulous yes but you're Aaron would say. As Spentabulous, in fact, as Dylan Jagger, who dressed up as Dylan McDermott. Oh, my God. Finally. And finally, you know, people are coming up to him like, oh my God, are you Dermott Mulroney? And he's like, no, I'm Dylan McDermott, star of such hit shows as The Practice and American Horror Story. And then people were like, wait, you're Dylan McDermott? Will you sign my headshot? And look at that. He's making some cash already. That's incredible. Well, Nathan Meyer is smart because he's a serial killer. So he's dressed up as Michael Myers.
Starting point is 00:33:22 And he is murdering everyone at the con. Love it. Love it. But he keeps getting away with it because everyone's like, he's just in character. All right. We let actors get away with anything. And Kanye, too. What is Lane Pap dressed as?
Starting point is 00:33:40 Oh, God. Lane Pap is dressed as Kanye. Oh, thank God. I've always wanted to see a Kanye. Kanye and murdering him. Okay, well, I'll be there, murdering lane bath. It's a very padded costume because, yeah, everyone gets to take a hit, you know. Everyone gets to do a little pummelin on everyone's favorite social pariah.
Starting point is 00:34:00 It's actually just a way to get some catharsis during the costume competition. Jackson Ryan is cosplaying as a cat, just a fat cat, a big, fat, ugly cat. I got a photo of the cat. Oh, no. Let me show you. I have photos of fat, ugly cats. Just on hand, always. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:22 No, it's in the other office. Sorry. But he looks exactly like this one cat. Oh, my God. I just, I put it over my... No, it was all my wife and I. It's Jackson, Ryan, dressed. I mean, what's Peter Perrier?
Starting point is 00:34:36 Peter Perrier, it's okay. Peter Perrier actually came from work, so Peter Perrier is, uh, Pereira is dressed as a Panera bread employee no shit john that's right and peter perera bought uh perea i keep messing up your name because it's smudged on your name tag but all brought breads and soups for everybody which is good because this is a long competition and we need to refus well luke schnear is um he's dressed as straw hat goofy hey and he's doing blackface and again everyone is letting him get away with it
Starting point is 00:35:13 because it is acting. We let actors and entertainers get away with anything. And Luke Schneier, he gets to do blackface today. That's right. That's right. And I get to sit there jealous. And so did Annie because Annie dressed up as Annie from the Kvangenet Wallace version of Annie specifically. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:35:35 And we were like, this character was originally white to begin with. You don't have to do that. But then Annie was like, nah. No way. Well, Anthony Donato is dressed as a donut. Oh, no. He is a sprinkled donut. He made it out of a real donut, though.
Starting point is 00:35:53 So, everywhere, people are just eating him up everywhere. And then it's like, get to the center of the cookie. You know what I mean? Keep your eye on the donut, not the hole. Oh. Oh, people are like, can I, can I? Yeah. And Adrian is dressed as Talia Shire, but not.
Starting point is 00:36:13 in any way to do with Rocky just as the actress Talia Shire. Oh, like what she looks like today. Yeah, what she looks like today. And is also trying to sign autographed, you know, headshots for people and to collect money based on that. Well, Chad Colton, that's
Starting point is 00:36:29 ironic, you bring that up. Because Chad Colton is dressed like the guy from Nickelback. Hey, that's what we like to see. What's his name? Chad Kroger. That's why I made the joke. That's right. She is there. He's like, Look at this photograph.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Look at it makes me laugh. He's just screaming lyrics at people all day long. I'm through a standing in line behind Stardust and Madness. And Stardust and Madness, get this, dressed as the main character from Stardust, the book movie with the bear. No, that's the golden compass. I don't know which fantasy book is which Stardust and Madness, so you're going to have to, you know, educate me in costume. It's the only way I'll learn.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Well, Matthew Arms is walking the convention floors, promoting his panel. He's got coming up, which is about men with more than two arms. Oh, goody. And it has a large attendance. I didn't do it. It was the forearmed man. What's Louisa dressing out?
Starting point is 00:37:42 Dressed as Richard Kimball from the fugitive. Oh shit, you were dropping clues this whole time. Right, like a good mystery ought to. And don't worry because Louisa didn't kill her wife. Well, Antonio Medellias is dressed as puss in boots. Oh, goody. And he's, he is, but he's really embodying, like, the real-life Antonio Banderas personality. This guy is one, one humble.
Starting point is 00:38:10 human being. Humble. It's a human being and a cat outfit, yeah. And he's really making fun of the guy in the fat cat outfit. That's right, he is. And you know who else is dressed in a fat cat outfit? It's Kevin Meek. No shit. Heaths. Heathcliff, the best comic strip cat
Starting point is 00:38:27 this side of any newspaper. He's got the meat hat. He brought garbage ape. He brought Jimmy. All the classic Heathcliffism's. Well, Zen science is dressed as a nudist. hey that's an ironic costume it's a very ironic costume but man um we are thrilled yeah we we are happy
Starting point is 00:38:51 you are there because we get to point and laugh today like wow look how big that is it is so big it's funny staggering it's funny it's comically large it's hilarious and I want to get to know you better yep and I also want to get to know heather gear better because heather is dressed as the heathers from the movie heathers which is a pretty awesome costume and get your winona rider vibes on you know and and yeah you got that attitude to boot perfect well Kayla the king is dressed as um king henry yes any of them any of them no we can do better than that she's dressed as the burger king today let's go the creepy burger king the commercials yeah doesn't i just get you in the mood for a wopper and she's
Starting point is 00:39:50 made out of a real whopper oh that's what we like to hear yeah it is gross she stinks oh my god it smells bad there's a meat suster it's a literal meat suit and she won't be able to get the smell out of her hair for weeks but hey that's commitment that's committing connie still has a career you know what he does yeah Kayla is king and oh hey you know who else is king is Kira she is Kira has shown up dressed as
Starting point is 00:40:19 the king from Tekken with the yeah with the like Jaguar head and the big buff you know arms and jacked legs and stuff and is doing crazy martial arts and challenging people taking the game to Seriously.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Hot. Juan Longoria is dressed as a cabin. Oh. Actually go and then you get to enter the cabin. And it's a mystery full of horror tropes. I'm totally making this up. It's no movie's ever done this. Nope.
Starting point is 00:41:00 No, it's a new idea. It's a new idea. You're about to start like a whole new trend in cinema that no one's going to see. It's pretty crazy that Juan Longoria was able to pull this off. Truly. And you know what else is, whoa, what were you got? Something about Kanye? Oh, definitely something about Kanye.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Because I am. Because Cliff Rodriguez also dressed as a different version of Kanye. We need more. He got the bearhead from the old college dropout days, Kanye. Oh, good. And so, you know, and up to graduation. Yes, the Kanye we can all agree upon, just making us further conflicted as to how we got here and how somebody could fall so far from base you know well ogrely ambitious
Starting point is 00:41:43 is dressed as Fiona a from the Shrek movies right ogres are like onions she's dressed as but but the ogrely ambitious is dressed as like hot Fiona ugly as green shit what are you kidding what's a look at that it's superficially I can't fantasize about you're not in public I got it in private is more of a thing But no, just as hot Fiona. Still not hotter than real-life Cameron Diaz No, 50s, but hot enough. I don't come close, honestly.
Starting point is 00:42:12 But yeah, hot enough is what we aim for here. And you know who's just enough? Lorenzo Baxter, who has dressed as Baxter from Anchorman. But, you know, like the version that gets thrown out the window by or, you know, kicked over the thingy by Jack Black. So, you know, like big old floppy dog style, not even like a realistic looking dog. Well, Simply Fated is dressed as James Franco from Pineapple Express. Hey, he is getting canceled at this WonderCon. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Because not even Seth Rogen will be friends with Simply Fated for dressing like James Franco. No, no, but you know who will is SJ94? Will they really? Who dressed up as Samuel L. Jackson from 1994? All fiction. Hull fiction, Sam Jackson. which is among the most popular versions is delivering the
Starting point is 00:43:08 path of the righteous man's speech to every single person they come across that's never frustrating but Justin Martin is dressed as my old friend Justin Melvin who I met at Erica's thing and he had that beer app
Starting point is 00:43:24 where you're where you can like order a beer at a bar from a phone slinger like I could order it for you like if you're at a bar and i'm like oh let me buy you a drink while you're out and that's what he's dressed as today he's dressed as that guy that's so cool that i haven't seen in many years let's go justin martin and um yeah that was a cool
Starting point is 00:43:48 that was a very cool app and i appreciate you also for buying us all beers i never personally used it to buy someone a beer because i thought it was a little it's a roundabout way you could just go up to the bar and say i want to buy that person What I'm saying, like, if you're at home, if I'm at home and you're at the bar, I could order it and buy you a drink because I just love spending money and I'll just buy you a drink. Absolutely. I'm just looking for ways to spend and this is the easiest one at my disposal. And I will get no interaction from this purchase. I'll buy you a beer from home.
Starting point is 00:44:23 I'll buy everyone in the bar a beer from home. I have no idea what they're doing or if they're even grateful. I will not spend quality time with you, but I will buy you a beer. Absolutely. That's what we like to hear. And hey, Philip J. Smith, Jr. What's he doing? He's got a beer in hand and is dressed as agent Will Smith combining his fandom for Matrix and Will Smith.
Starting point is 00:44:45 And everyone's asking him, hey, oh, you're Agent J for Men in Black. And it's really making it mad. He's just like, no, I'm Will Smith as Agent Smith, Mr. Anderson. Ha ha, ha. Wow. Yeah. And it's one of the most original costume. Crazy, because this is another hybrid costume of fandoms.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Marjorie is dressed as a hybrid of Marge Simpson and Marjorie Taylor Green. That's the combo. It's Marjorie Taylor Green in Marge's coloring and the hair. Oh, I like it. That's fun. That's fun. Suddenly, Marjorie Taylor Green sounds awesome. That's how you rebrand Marjorie Taylor Green.
Starting point is 00:45:28 That's what we like to see. that Marjorie, a bar with my bar bar beer with my slinger wrap. That's right. You should. And hey, Jen Smith, we should buy a beer as well, showing up dressed as Jennifer
Starting point is 00:45:43 Tilly in the Chucky movies. So technically, Tiffany, that's right. Hot stuff. Hot stuff. You got the wedding dress, the white hair, the tattoo, the lipstick all in black. And you're looking sharp. All right. I love

Starting point is 00:47:01 I'm gonna let you finish but Beyonce had the best cosplay of all time he's done so much more since that you know but that's the moment we can all come back to that was when it was still fun less sad and hurtful
Starting point is 00:47:16 and hurtful and and malicious and ill-conceived and and may he burn and Herald um yeah rightfully so screw that guy So, Rotson, I don't say that very often.
