We are going to watch
High School Musical Season 3 finale.
Tara, are you ready to finally watch this?
I am. That was my guitar solo.
Holy crap, let's do this.
Him and Nini.
But this romance, I don't know.
Doesn't feel right to me for some reason.
Really?
I don't know.
I feel like they've ever.
really have chemistry, like real chemistry.
I thought her and E.J. had amazing chemistry.
They were better together. They did, but like, in the later
episodes, they kind of, I've, I mean, they do get a job.
Yeah, I know, I know. Two weeks of summer camp. They probably shouldn't have said that
because, like, two weeks is way too small. That is insanely too small.
Press escape so we don't see it.
No, I'm good. Let's just watch the next episode.
And we'll act like we've never seen it.
I tell I barely got any time talk. I got like,
If you're listening to us in Apple or Spotify, leave us a five-star rating. Let's go.
I love this, okay? I loved it. I loved how it ended. I disagree with him. I love Gina and E.J., sorry. I love Gina and E.J. together, yes, but towards the end, even though it was two weeks, like, I didn't get their chemistry anymore. And I think E.J. with all of his problems with his dad, and the fact that his dad has never told me he's proud of him. He's got the Duke thing. He's leaving for college. Like, forget about it. He doesn't need to add Gina on top of his life. He won't, it will fall through.
everything just like it'll just fall through just like the rest of the stuff so i think him focusing
on himself is a better move and gina and rickie can now kind of like live out this relationship and i
would like to see that i'm a little confused as to and disappointed how we didn't get to see
ash follow through with that girl because she got the pin meaning she's by and what also biggie is
by we got no explanation for that she's like yes i have feelings for this girl but i'm like we
didn't get to see her kiss a girl how did she feel about that she's still thinking about the girl why
she's still with biggie is because she does biggie know that she's also by like i don't like that
we didn't get that all cleared up that that disappointed me um i'm glad that we tied the bow with nini
i mean i don't think we'll see her again that was very very sad with like the the cards like i was
like oh my god it touched the nerve um and i am actually really glad to see Courtney in that
last part of her singing, I'm like, her voice is just so phenomenal.
And that gave me goosebumps.
I freaking loved it.
I'm glad they made her sing the whole freaking song.
And it's so funny that when you, when Miss Jen has been gone a while and then she comes
back, you're like, wow, Ms. Jen adds so much.
I didn't even know it.
Yeah, you don't even think about that.
Yeah.
That's true.
Those are all fair points.
Miss Jen is now some serious spiritual guide for the kids versus.
She's got special powers.
Versus like, you know, like a funny, quirky teacher.
I love to pay off with her and Corbyn Blue and it's like, you're her favorite extra.
Oh, my God.
He went, Jennifer.
That was so good.
I love that so much.
That's probably my favorite moment.
All that.
Just for her to get that moment.
I've heard you even like play it cool.
Like she wasn't like, oh my God, I'm being validated.
Like how she wasn't other seasons.
Totally.
She seems so different.
She's like so different.
She's not that different.
She's because we only get her in dose.
I think but before then that happened she would be like oh my god
freaking out like crazy you're right you're right maybe you're right maybe you're
right but she was like so like such calamity about she's got a boyfriend though yeah
he was a disaster before he met his wife you hear that men will help keep you in check no
thanks I like to be unchecked yeah it's peaceful for everyone and uh and uh
The play was fun.
This is about like a weird, like sad,
melancholic, like two episodes.
Absolutely.
Like,
I was on the verge of crying three times.
They were, like,
not funny.
They were so like.
Like,
it's very heartfelt.
There's something,
it's like that,
that bitter sweetness of saying goodbye
to summer camp that I've never had,
but I can kind of understand it now.
Yeah,
and the nini stuff.
The nini stuff is so weird in this season.
Because it just feels so intentionally like,
like even if you don't understand filmmaking i think
you pick up on something feeling off about the way it's all done
like they clearly had to insert her in and shoot her on her schedule
and like there's times where she's clearly not there but they were making it seem like
she was there absolutely and just intentionally not having her interact with the cast
you know like it was so purposeful and could be ex-boyfriend reasons could be the fact that
she was just so because like they found time for her to do other scenes but they didn't have time
for her to like do anything with the cast or than that one scene with Courtney, you know?
Right, exactly.
So I like that and because it's bizarre to see her to go from the main, the main character to
to, like some random side character.
They felt like they had to wrap up.
I know.
I feel like this was kind of a sweet way to wrap it up, like with the card.
And I thought that it was really touching that there was no words for Ricky.
It was just a lottery card.
I know.
And that was really sweet.
of like she remembered.
And I was like, uh, I like the lesbians, good lesbians in this show.
Confused by Big Red and Ashland.
That's very confusing.
I need an explanation on that.
Like, I'm annoyed by that.
Like, I need to know if Biggie knows that she's by as well.
I just, I didn't really, I don't feel like this season I was rooting for, I think this
season is so much better than season two, first off.
I'll get that out of the way.
I think it is a phenomenally better season than season.
too. Yeah. And I really love the season overall. I guess I'm conflicted about the
Ricky and Gina thing because I don't really feel like they were building up for them to have
the road. I never found myself like rooting for them to get together. If anything in the
conflicts, I was always like feeling bad for E.J. because this was supposed to be E.J.'s like
big summer camp and have a good time of his friends and his girlfriend. Then he gets this like
responsibility thrown his plate. His dad's practically disowning him. He's worried about it. He's worried
about his girlfriend leaving him and possibly
hooking up with a guy who he calls his brother
you know like there's so much like
it was so mean
like this whole last few episodes
especially was so harsh on EJ
that I didn't find myself
rooting for like Gina and
like he got dumped the night before this
play so I
wasn't I guess that's the part
where I find it conflict even after that all comes
out and you see how hurt EJ is
by it
with the trailer
that
then they decide like okay now we're going to have our kiss moment and they play it like it does feel
so I'm like I don't know this feels like a little disrespectful to me versus you know but I mean they did set us up like at the beginning of camp that EJ had like zero time for Gina even from like day one he wasn't really giving her what she needed it was weird when he was like oh yeah we just like sit in this boat the fireworks will happen like they wrote him to be somewhat failing at having the relationship with Gina so that when her and Ricky
have that song and they have all their chemistry and everyone feels it and then he tells
what's his nuts about it.
It's caught on camera that at this ending point when they do kiss, it's sort of like,
yeah, it's due time.
And of course, E.J. has the right to be upset.
But at the same time, E.J. didn't really, the writing also was like Gina wasn't getting what
she wanted.
Gave him a chance.
No.
She gave him like three chances during camp.
I'll give him another chance.
I'm waiting here.
I'm here for you.
You don't understand that, E.
I'm here for you.
She kept saying that.
Yeah, that's fair.
And then, like, he did not fall through, did not fall through, did not fall through.
And then it was like, yeah, finally time.
I think they did a good job.
I understand what you're saying.
But I think they did a good job of setting it up throughout the season in the writing to be like,
Gina is not getting fulfilled.
E.J. is not following through.
They need to go their separate ways.
I just thought they moved past that by the end of, in season two.
And then season two is so much about the buildup between E.J. and Gina.
Right.
But once we got to camp, it was no go.
It was like the first day.
we got a little bit of that juice and it was good
and then it was like the downhill.
Like they were never meant to be together kind of a thing.
I like Corbyn Blues arc.
Yeah.
Of how watching the kids perform
brought it out of him of reminding him of his youth
when he was a young performer.
I thought that was really touching.
I thought also the line where E.J. says,
I know I put people over profits,
that that's what Corbin does
in that moment when he tells the other guy to fuck off.
Yeah.
And he looks at him.
like, oh, he's just here for the drama and he's like,
get out of here. He's choosing people
of her profits, especially with the Wildcats thing.
And then he's like, that felt right.
That was a good callback there.
That's true. Courtney's
Let It Go music number was beautiful.
Amazing. Very moving. I was probably the most
moved by that. Yeah, overall, really solid season.
Loved it. Good stuff. Good stuff. Great stuff.
Love it. Can't we go to the next one.
Like this video. Share it. There's only
eight episodes left, Tara.
Get your cult of She-Dex shirt.
There's only eight.
No, no, no, no.
There's only eight episodes left.
That's sad.
I'm already getting sad.
Because I don't want it to end.
It really does make me happy.
And I'm sad that it was only four seasons.
Well, here we are.
What are you going to do?
Ladies and gentlemen, leave your thoughts down below.
Do you still like Tara?
We'll talk.
They're all going to be like, no, no, no, get her out of here.
We know you're the preferred one between the two of us.
I doubt it.
I'm just here to provide some dry, dryness.
Some dry humor.
See you guys.
Bye.
