Oh, man.
Oh, boy.
I'm still house black.
I mean, this was clearly some clerical errors.
He clearly did not find the A squad to carry this out.
They did not understand the technicality here.
They thought it had only to do with just getting a prince's head.
It was, it was very specifically aiming for many reasons.
Yeah, he named him in the bargain.
Yeah.
Oh, man, that was, that's, that's horrible.
That is really icky.
Yeah.
Jeez.
Oh, man, that's, yeah, I mean, that is really disgusting.
Yeah.
No wonder they put emphasis on him in the beginning of the episode.
Yeah, right.
And you sort of care about them.
Yeah, having him play around with, what's his name, with the Lannist.
guy I wonder if she
Thailand I wonder if she
pointed to the sun in hopes
that they would think that she was lying
and then go through with it
I think she was trying to anticipate
because you see because she can see
ahead and
I don't exactly know what her powers are
she has some some capability
of foresight
and like she said the thing
about the rats so I think
she might have saw like oh if I point to
him that's what she was like going through her head
that they might think the opposite, which the guy initially did.
And I think that's why they made a whole moment of no one.
And that's why she's telling the truth.
Yeah.
Oh, man, that was crazy.
His whole episode was just like grief, pain, building to some horror.
And you're like, I don't exactly know what.
All I know is we're getting a lot of screen time with high tower side of things.
And so I'm just under the impression that we're like some terrible blow is going to be delivered.
to the people at King's Landing.
And sure enough, it was, that was really, that is so unsettling.
Man, the first episode of last season, and this is, oh, Jesus, I just love doing horrible
things.
Yeah, no, absolutely.
Oh, God, because that first season, I just remember the first episode with the birth and
then now to do this scene.
Oh, Jesus.
I hope nobody else has to give a birth in the rest of season two.
but yeah like they do this emphasis on like royalty should feel like the most protected but it's the most dangerous oh yeah because everybody's gunning for you and and and in this day and age in particular like can you trust anyone ever really you know i do have some questions about why there wasn't anyone near to protect yeah you think there's someone there standing guard like a king's guard i feel like they should all yeah yeah to be protecting and i think like i remember in last season they would they would do that quite often like where were you
Why aren't you around?
And you think after a certain point,
they didn't even like acknowledge it.
Like there's no one around to protect them.
Yeah, you would think that in a moment in time
where they are all clearly anticipating a looming war
and are now aware of the fact.
And they know that Renera is aware of the fact
that Luke is dead.
And this has taken place at Eamon's hand.
Like you would think they would up security that much more.
Yeah.
What did you think of the episode?
I really enjoy.
I mean, it's, it's got that same assuredness of hand.
It's got that same sort of steady, you know, build to it that, you know, is exemplary of the best of just what this crew is able to put together continually, you know, barring the lesser seasons well-trodden of Game of Thrones.
Like, nothing, there's nothing quite like this, you know, the way it moves and the way it breathes through these big cavernous castles and the way that, yeah, like, at the end of that first season, we have such.
a, you know, clear
flashpoint of like,
damn, this is the moment where, like, the war
truly begins. And then yet,
you know, even that, even though
like the seed has been planted
and we are past
a point of no return, I always appreciate
that they're able to, like, bring you back
down to earth and remind you that, like, oh, no,
there are still many debates to be had and
many tests of allegiance and a lot
of machinations that need to take place
before the actual thing we're all
expecting. And I really like that they
use the prospect of all-out war, of bloodshed in battle, of, you know, the big old kind of money sequences that, you know, you look forward to in a show like this.
Eventually, I appreciate the way that they bring you back to Earth, and they're like, no, no, no, no, we can't just go straight to carnage in battle.
You know, this is still a political game, and even though this looks dire, and even though, again, there are points of no return that have been crossed, there are still considerations we need to make.
and this is all still super fragile like our you know as the high tower side of things you know uh foists a gone onto the throne
you know like they're still fresh off of what some might call a mutiny so like even their uh you know standing is
questionable and i like that you know you take even those little moments because there's so much you know manpower
and thought power that goes into you know keeping the realm what it is but then you have those little little
little moments where you see somebody like
Alice and grieve, you know, and kind of
acknowledge the mess
that all of this is.
And it does really nicely, even though it's been
so long, you know, it harkens back to
the core tragedy of just
these two little girls, you know,
grew up, you know, under
the shadow of all of these
political interests and have now
been completely swept up into and corrupted by them.
It's fascinating. What did you think?
Yeah, I liked it. I liked it.
um it uh there's i think like when i've just because it's like we're finally returning to it
i've watched a little bit more of like a like from from the head less from the heart because
i'm like i just want to make sure i'm even though it's actually it's a relatively easy episode
to follow yeah i just want to make sure like okay where are we at where we at where we at and while
this one felt a little bit more like set up for what's to come rather than true like rich character
scenes like we still got like a decent amount of them you know but again a lot of it was like some
reminders like there's no recap that they play this with this on our end there's no recap here
and there's there's uh that so there is some like okay we got to get like refamiliarize with
some things and then we got to get some resolve some things that were perhaps we're not
really acknowledged from the prior from where we left off before
and I'm looking forward to seeing how immediate this plays out because the last season had so much time spanning and it seems like this one's going to be a lot more focused in terms of its time frame that they're going to be doing in terms of its buildup and to see like yeah the plotting and trying to form the allegiances still and yet even with it the part that tears itself from within is is like the family itself you know so you have like amen and christi
and then you have like Kristen and and Allison and then you have Alicent and the friction she's experiencing with her father like all these like constantly being undermined by everyone whereas like House Black seems a little bit more aligned like you know like we I don't know the where this is all I mean I know like dance of the dragons and it's supposed to end with no dragons in the end it's like about as far as I know but I don't really know like the details where this all goes.
Exactly.
And so I'm still like, oh, there's still so much up for surprise that I'm going to be looking forward to seeing what they do.
And I think for like a first episode back, I'm like, yeah, it's like a solid 7.5 out of 10 for me, I would say.
I was just happy to be back.
You know, I was just happy to continue, you know.
Yeah.
They pick up in a nice way.
And but yeah, a lot of it felt a little bit more.
We've got to get some information out here.
Less than.
But then the tension and stuff started kicking in more so in like.
last like 15, 20 minutes of this episode. And then we started like, okay, now we're getting back
to like the emotion. Because there's a lot of somberness and such, understandable. And like,
you kind of, I kind of feel like the somberness and the grief would be a little bit more
effective if you watch this episode, like right after the last episode. Yes. Yes. I agree.
Like, because I did a rewatch. Um, and but the rewatch I finished like two weeks ago.
So, uh, but like for a lot of people, they might have just watched a
recap or they haven't seen it in forever so i'm like okay maybe some of this grieving stuff
would be like oh i'm probably crying with you there but even for me it was like oh it's been like only
a couple weeks i mean i mean i just saw the finale again like within a couple days okay and i mean
i'm not that far off from did you watch the finale or the whole show again i watched the show
again okay yeah so then watching the finale again i oh it's still for you i'm like oh that's
funny so you still weren't even like bad affected by the i mean this
feels more like episode and maybe it is because of the proximity this feels more like episode 11 than episode one of season two in a sense sure like it doesn't feel as much like oh man we're starting off with some kind of like tone setting bang other than going to the wall going to the north you know kind of reminding us of all those things which was you know striking after all the time we've spent in other parts of the realm but this i mean yeah it does definitely feel like the only thing that really threw me was at first i was like oh that is jace because
he does look markedly older than he did before you know in episode 10 of or you know in the in the
most current day that we find ourselves in toward the end of season one um but other than that yeah
wait which one was jace he goes to the wall jace is the other son oh yeah because she sends him and
lucer both or she sends luceris and he's looking up at the wall yeah yeah yeah yeah isn't the
crazy short hair looking up yeah yeah and that's why and that's why he says that thing about like oh
you know, I'm glad you didn't send your dragon to cook me.
And I was like, oh, that's right.
That's him, you know, because, yeah, he's just, he's just aged.
He's a kid.
But, yeah, like, this definitely felt more like a continuation, and I felt.
I thought there were, I thought Cregan was, I thought, I thought they said that's a Cregan.
May, may have been.
But that's, that's, that's Jace at the beginning, though, talking to him.
That's Jase?
Isn't it?
I got so confused.
Yeah, no, because he looks different because he's, like, gone through puberty.
And, like, he's just got a slightly different, I think, facial structure than he did in the previous season.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that's why I thought I was looking at the Stark actor.
Yeah, yeah, no, because, like, yeah, the Stark guy, I'm like, okay, so you're new, or you're, you're at least, you're not one of the sons.
You're not someone whose face I should have, like, a full kind of, yeah, grasp on.
And then I was like, no way.
Because, yeah, you're in the while.
You're sort of removed from the previous circumstances.
And it leaves you to go, like, oh, yeah.
Yeah, she did send the both of them on the dragons.
We only really followed Luke.
So long-haired one was Jace?
Yeah, I believe so.
God, that was confusing.
I kept thinking I was looking at a different character.
Yeah, at first, I was like, okay, we're just two guys?
But I was like, no, no, no, this has to be him.
And then he rides off on the dragon.
So, like, yeah, he's.
That's why I was like, he has a dragon?
Yeah, no, and no, it took me a second, too,
because I was like, am I just getting this wrong?
Or has he just aged?
And, you know, that's the trouble with casting actors.
and then shooting for three years or, you know, coming back after, like, you know, years.
Right.
But, yeah, and I like that show.
And then again, like, that's a thing that makes it feel sort of like an episode 11 where it's like, yeah, we ended the last season with the boys being like, hey, we got to go out and, you know, let us be your envoy.
Let us test the allegiances and, you know, make sure that these people re-up their oath to you.
And so, yeah, it's like we end the first season with the tragedy that befalls Luke on his journey to.
do that and then we pick this one up with
Jace just successfully
completing his mission and then returning
and so that's why that punch like that was
a punch where he comes back and he doesn't even know yet
and uh you know Reneera has
you know started to bear the full brunt
of the you know grief
and all that but I but I do agree
it's like this this episode is like keeping things
moving like
you know you and you don't really spend much
time really at all with Reneira
like she's removed from so much
and like that makes sense to me too
in a contextual way, because obviously, I think you said, you know, it's like there's almost
nobody here except for Jace who could, you know, really share like a tender moment with her
or a moment of like true heartbreak and understanding and just like, you know, experience
outside of our responsibilities and the tension surrounding our responsibilities as
leaders, bears to the realm, maybe, you know.
Yeah, it was a good buildup.
Yeah, I liked it.
And it's like with that ending, too, you know, like this whole time,
Allison actually seems a little bit divorced from just how much of an impact it might have on Renera
that the fact that Eamon killed her son, you know?
And she seems like, it's not apathetic.
She's far from it.
But I don't feel like she's understanding the impact that that would have.
And now she's going to feel it from her grandson being killed.
Yeah, well, and this is only going to get so much worse because, yeah, it's like this is,
I feel like if they had.
just successfully gotten aim and there would almost be a way to to look at it and go well
we all knew this would probably be in the cards or at least in an attempt like this would be in the
cards but because they find the wrong prints you know i feel like yeah this is going to be
it's it's always fascinating in in this universe the way you think one thing is going to be the
thing that kicks off like a grand again is like the precipice of the war the thing that makes
everything go to shit but there's always like a couple more steps we need to go there's always like a
couple more truly messy maneuvers that need to happen to like really pull all the gloves off because
up till now everyone in in in team green has been sitting around being like you know amand is
proactive and he's just got a lot of ambition you know like they're dancing around it uh and i think
this is going to clinch the there's no more hope for goodwill until i'm sure whatever sort of
of late on moment, or I would imagine late on moment between Allison and Reneer comes to
pass where they can both be like, hey, this is super messed up and I hate you, but hasn't it
sad how far we've come?
And an Agon as king is actually more fun to watch than I expected it to me.
Yeah.
Because I like how he's trying, there's almost like a homelander thing about him.
Like he wants to be light still.
Yeah.
You know, the way how he's like kind of trying to be like a genie granting with.
and be like this altruistic giving king without understanding the consequences or really the strategy behind how the machinations of what went down that led to a lot of these people being stripped from these things to begin with and so like having to have his grandfather be there to keep reminding him of things or to intervene like like the hand is supposed to be an aid but it seems like that he's really there to keep him in line you know especially and and watching how that's unfolding is
is really amusing because like again there's just so much friction within this targaryan
household targary and high towers uh which i'm so yeah there's all there's a lot to look
forward to there's a lot there's a lot of fun uh to be had here and i'm just kind of looking forward
to watching it all sort of focus up watching it did take me a while that i like i i didn't realize
this very much i was i was confused looking at the jace actor the whole time i was like is that
cregan is that who i heard about yeah because i kept hearing about cregan stark yeah that's
Everyone hyped up after season one was like they mentioned Cregan at the end and they were like, Cregan's Starry?
So I was like, it's Cregan the long-haired one?
Because he looks a little bit like a Stark right now.
Yeah, totally.
It looks like a John Snowette's figure.
And that's the problem is like, damn, I wish these kids were blonde.
And we're so, I was like, wait a minute.
Who's this?
I was so confused for a second.
Yeah, I'm like, oh, I forget like part of the whole troublesome thing about you guys is that you just look so plain.
Yeah.
He just looked like so many other people, not just Lord, the late Lord Strong, which even that, like, Laris, like, is their direct relation.
How does hair grow so much?
How long have it taken to get them?
That's a great question.
Raven caught up to them past.
Yeah, you know, he was traveling long enough that he went through another stage in puberty.
Somehow the Raven caught up.
Yeah.
How does hair grow so long?
You know, it's movie magic, baby.
He left.
It's a long ride.
He left with short hair.
It's a raw.
A really long hair.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I like his new haircut, though.
It looks good if he fits him.
Hopefully there won't be any more cause for confusions like that.
Because, yeah, the other kids do look pretty much the same.
Or at least Agon and Aymond to do.
Yeah.
And yeah, I agree.
Like the whole Agon stuff.
I'm curious to see and I'm excited to see what happens with him because, you know, obviously he's going to want his own autonomy.
And, you know, they established that whole.
bit about like ah he's not really interested in being the king and like i like watching as he
tries to get interested and then it's quickly reminded by uh auto like of the mundanity and of the
like ah you can't really do all the kingly shit you want to do because we've got a whole bunch
of other concerns all right all righty guys what did you guys think about that episode um i liked
it liked quite a bit can't wait to see the rest of the season unfolds that ending was a shocker
that's for sure uh leave her thoughts down below man that that's wild yeah watch a whole season
television i recognize oh for sure i was sitting there wondering myself yeah as i was re-watching
boys i was switching off between boys and house of the dragon uh in this rewatched period that's
funny oh well house of the boys house of the boys leave your thoughts down below be sure
subscribe leave a like and uh we'll catch you all soon reject nation peace
Tyler Hank, Tyler, this month we are shouting on our patrons and we are going,
which son of a bitch to a celebrity did they remind us of the most?
Which son of a bitch?
And you know which celebrity you remind us of the most?
Like, I don't even, in a blink, I'm like, boom, that's it.
Boom.
Right there.
You know what celebrity you remind me of?
Mm.
The Incredible Hulk.
Yes, he's a very real world celebrity, the Incredible Hulk.
Mind me of the Incredible Hulk.
Mm-hmm.
Because you're like, ah, he's nice.
He's a fun-loving guy.
He's a fun-loving jovial teddy bear of a man.
Look at him.
Gentle Gigante.
But then the second you turn off, one of Tyler's monitors, oh my God, he'd be thrashing and dashing.
They're calling the police on Tyler.
The amount of domestic violence disruptions from.
from neighbors.
There's no one even in his apartment.
No.
It's just his neighbors complaining about the noise from him destroying yet another unit in that building.
Soon the thing's going to collapse, Tyler.
But Tyler, you've got to learn how to wield that anger to do good in the world.
That's right.
You've got to focus that energy.
For example, there's like crazy homeless people outside of my house these days.
Hell of homeless folks.
I could use a Hulk.
You should smash them.
Do they directly talk to me?
No, but they're talking to something.
They're talking to someone.
They're yelling profanities at something.
And frankly, they need to be crushed.
Yeah, that's the only solution.
So, Tyler, I would love for you to use your Hulk skills and come out of here
and clean up the streets of the homeless out here in L.A.
We need it, man.
They don't really ever do anything to us, but, you know, they're just kind of weird to look at.
But, you know, they, they force you to confront a side of reality that just I just don't want to acknowledge at all.
It means make you a little uncomfortable when you're filling up gas at the gas station.
You know, you think like, crap, I don't have any money.
I mean, 99% of the time they don't even ask you for money.
But, you're like, I don't like the way you look.
You just look like money.
I just want you to smash them.
Mm-hmm.
If you don't mind.
What's a few people smashed among friends, you know?
Especially ones who, frankly.
are not really contributing to the economy at the time.
They're not really helping the bottom line.
If you're not helping out the economy, are you a person?
Why are you alive?
These are real questions.
These are the deep philosophical quadries, boy.
And you could help us solve them by not ever having to engage with them again.
So Tyler, get to work, man, because I just don't like those seconds of my life.
When I glance over, it just means.
Makes me, ugh.
Yeah, I don't like being removed from my bubble.
Yeah, I don't like driving in the street and looking to the left of me,
and there's some person shouting some racist slurs at the light.
Yeah, while trying to clean my window.
It's like pick a lane.
Yeah.
Are you helping me, or are you racist?
It's kind of contradictory.
And why are you in the middle of the street?
With one boob hanging out.
With one boob.
I got beat them up Tyler
That's right Tyler
It's the only way
It's the only thing can be done
Because those seconds
Are just unpleasant
Across a lifetime
That's at least a minute or three
Minute two
Three maybe five
Maybe ten minutes
And frankly
I still got time for that
Nope
That's ten minutes
It could be used elsewhere
Like shouting you out
Stop being lazy
Yeah
And clean up these streets
Get out there Tyler
Avenge us
Thank you.
