Watch the Hulu original series Furious, now streaming only on Hulu on Disney Plus.
Thank you to kickoff for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
Citizens of Rejectoros.
I have joined Team High Tower.
I just figured they might win, you know?
I forget what happens.
So I'm choosing the winning side now.
Good.
I like the color green.
Me too.
And this was the shirt that you ordered me when we made the Game of Thrones inspired shirts
and you got the Targaryen one.
So, de facto, I am a High Tower.
Fact out.
Are you excited for this?
You know, I think we're going to get some climax.
Gaspar Noah.
Game of bones, let's go.
Hey guys.
Thank you so much for being here with us every week.
It's been quite a journey with this season, man.
I want to thank everyone's been joining our Patreon page.
Thank you so much for that extra support over there.
It's where you get a full reaction watch along.
And, you know, if you want to get a shirt for regeneration shop,
that's awesome as well.
If you can't do any of that, that's totally cool.
there, you know, leave a like in this video.
And now we begin to talk about this episode.
John, give us a recap of everything that went down.
All right, my boy, bitched out up top.
Dead Kristen Cole.
Sad to see it.
Love to see it.
Then, King's Landing.
Shit's still going down with the gold cloaks.
They've all quit now.
It's just Damon.
Yeah.
And then they caught Allison and Helena trying to escape,
thus, you know, prolonging the negotiations
between Reneera and Allison and whatnot.
Then cut to freaking the place where Ormond is.
Ormond is...
Tumbledon.
There we go.
And my dude Gwain's there, and he's like trying to spit some sense.
And then we discover that little Darren's not about this life.
He wants freaking Gwain to protect him.
But Gwain's like, nah, dude, this is all fucked up.
I got to get out of here.
And then, freaking...
And Hugh are getting antsy.
Big olf.
They're getting big antsy right now.
Uh, Hugh.
And then, uh, oh, check it out.
But also the small council, things aren't going well.
I can't agree.
And we discover that Missaria might not be on the up and up.
She was a little reticent to reveal the details about the plan, uh, by Allison and
Helena to escape.
Also a scene with Raina where she's chastised for going outside for a minute.
but also Damon caught that one guy
and we discovered their legion
and they're not gonna...
Got an earful.
Yeah.
And then Damon was canoodling
with witch lady some more
and they're gonna...
What's her name?
We gotta Google.
Alice, Alice, Alice, yeah.
Alice.
And she got hella dragon eggs
because of the history
nobody bothered to check in about.
And then freaking Hugh and his wife,
she's like, who are you even now?
I don't want it.
Hugh are you?
you, Hugh? And he's like, I'm a dragon man now. And she's like, I don't recognize you. And then,
oh, they tried to ambush. They got the belt so that they could ambush the high towers with the Barathians.
But then my- Ah, you figured out what the belts were for. There you go. We did it. We did it. And I think
that's most of everything that happened. And then, of course, the very end. And the very end.
Corlis. Guys, we're literally missing the one true king. And Alan and Baylor.
Got together.
They got a lot done in this episode.
And what we're used to say.
The one true king is going to Esos.
Aagon's going to Esos.
Live happily ever after with my dude, Thailand, who's still alive.
Okay.
So we're going to talk about every bit of these.
Is there one more plot?
And little toe.
And little toe.
Yeah.
All right.
So we have like three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
We have over ten plots here.
Yeah.
That's a lot to juggle.
That's a lot to juggle in one episode, man.
Very impressive because I thought the writing on this one was really good and the pacing was excellent because while they handled so much, I thought every storyline was intriguing, engaging.
And I was gripped during this one.
It's it.
You feel that like crumbling not like from within and within all the characters as well, that inner conflict and like power can be so performative or power can be not performative.
Power can be an illusion to fulfillment and happiness.
and so I really loved
I love this one I thought that was really great
and there's a lot of violence too
and you gotta get down some violence baby
so much happened but Michael
you complained a lot about
Kristen Cole you really
and I think you really got rewarded at the top here
I mean I knew this particular
piece was coming
that's how he dies in the book
yeah I mean it's it's sort of a fun
they've got like a fun name for it
it's like a whole fun thing
what's it called the butcher's ball
the butcher's ball
That's pretty sick.
Actually, really quick.
I just want to triple check that before I get screamed at.
Because if I get screwed at, I'm going to actually.
Is the Kristen Cole storyline roughly how it is in the book, or did they augment change?
I don't think he jokes up with it, Allison and all that.
I think it's a lot.
Yeah, that's what it's called.
You got it right.
You got it right.
Yep, I got it right.
I just, yep, I checked it out.
Is he as interesting in the book?
He's really making sure that he got it right.
Yeah.
He's forgetting that we're filming.
Well, anyway, my boy dies.
He decided, he decided like, I'm just going to read a whole chat.
We're just going to eulogize Kristen Cole here while you do that.
John, how do you feel like Kristen Cole's now dead?
I mean, I'm sad.
I won't get to watch Fabian Frankel anymore play.
He knows the actor's name.
Yeah, man.
Yeah, because I like rarely have I ever encountered a character who, yeah, like sucks.
But I really, really like watching.
I think that performer brought a lot to this guy that I enjoyed watching.
So I, you know, it's been time for him to go.
I feel like for a minute now.
and I'm curious actually how this would read
or what his story is without the Allison
thing in the book perhaps.
But yeah, I don't know.
It was a great assortment in Westeros.
Yes, yes.
I appreciate that rather than have him demonstrate
that he's the greatest swordsman in Westeros
that they gave him a flail instead.
And, you know, but no, it was,
I thought it was, it's funny because
it's definitely smaller in scope.
I mean, obviously when like the Starks
company surround them.
Just one thing about that
whole exchange that always like
rubbed me the wrong way is the Starks
are so technically honorable.
Yeah. And it was such a dishonorable way
to take him out.
But it also kind of reminded me a little bit of
Rickon. Is that in the Battle of the Bastards?
Yeah.
Or they let them go on there.
They're running and run to the field and they're shooting them.
Yeah, it's just sort of like the morality of
me. But, um, no, I mean,
Listen, he died a great death, and I thought that whole sequence was just, like, phenomenal action.
And he had that great, like, John Stone moment where he's like, I'm sweaty and I'm going to fight.
Yeah, man.
Yeah.
It's cool to let an actor go out with a cool fight scene, you know?
Yeah.
Especially, I mean, I said it.
It's as cool as fighting in the whole show.
I said it during the scene.
It was exactly what I would have wanted for Sir Barriston.
Yeah.
You know, because it was like you can't hype somebody up as the greatest fighter and then give him a, you know.
Very true.
Very true.
I'm happy that he's gone, but I enjoyed watching him just like,
John. All right. So what's the next thing we want to talk about?
The gold cloaks. It reminded me of that scene in Rudy, where they're all putting their jerseys down on the coach's desk.
I've never seen Rudy. Shit. Wow. Spoilers. Ma bad. Well, it's history. It happened, folks.
No, I mean, it's sort of devastating, right? Damon's whole personality, his second family, this is something that he's built.
And his own little kingdom has crumbled. And I think it was close.
to sort of give in the last episode that rousing speech, all this hope, this idea of like,
man, I've still got it.
But this was just so painful and brutal.
And I think, you know, him going after the assassin and that sort of like him realizing that this
is not a problem that he can solve and letting the worst parts of himself, the demon on
his own shoulder, control his actions is certainly not great for Renera.
No, no, no.
I love his performance in this so much.
I love the hurt that you can see as he's lashing out and also trying to lash out in a way where maybe he can motivate them to stick around still.
You know, if I say the right words where you can see that there's a sense of pain underneath the actual anger he's dishing out.
I like seeing him on his own though.
Like he's such a fascinating actor that when he's on the streets or something that is kind of cool.
Like, oh, it's fucking Matt Smith is Damon doing his thing.
You know, he's going to like kick some ass in some way.
But what they're doing is this character overall, it's just so interesting because he clearly,
like one of the big things with Damon is he's always wanted the throne and then he finally
really succumbs to no I it's fucking all about Renera I'm making this choice and now that they
have the throne it's always like you should listen to me like you don't listen to me the wrong
choices are happening here you keep having me do the things I don't want now if you just listen
to me we want to have this problem and now I have to be down here now I'm losing people here
it's he's becoming like more isolated and going right back to the thing of why he never was
offered the throne in the first place and he's going back to these old behavior patterns
even though he's right a lot of the time, you know?
It's just so, it's so complex and layered.
I love watching it a lot, and that's the way it ended with Ulf there.
It was a great, I thought, writing to start off where we saw Ulf earlier and then to segue
it back to where he's actually in the city and he's immediately fucking punished and God for it.
But then it makes things worse for the way this, the townsfolk, the small folk view when
they see what Damon's doing to one of their own.
Can't even be amongst the people.
You can't even be amongst the people.
I mean, that's the ultimate humiliation, right?
Yeah.
Especially after, you know,
buying everybody a drink in the tavern and, you know, all these years of playing a fable only for it to be true and then have that pulled out from under you.
Did you watch The Crown?
No.
I don't watch TV unless I have to.
Oh, well.
It's so fascinating to me how Matt Smith, who plays Queen Elizabeth's husband in the Crown, how similar that dynamic between real life Queen Elizabeth the second and Renira.
Run so weirdly parallel.
Yeah.
But I love seeing the echoes of that performance in this.
And this episode in particular, I feel like there's just so much of it.
I loved it.
True.
True.
John, do you want to say about that?
I'm just going to say it.
Like, Damon and his, what Damon, like, it's a good capsule for, like, so much of what's
happening in this episode because it's so much about people basically being sort of bit in
the ass by their, you know, legs up, their stations.
They're the things that should be.
be affording them more power
and you're also watching everybody get pushed
to the point of desperation where I have
a feeling that like we're
cresting into what the last two episodes
of the season. It seems like everybody is in a position
to start making some real rash decisions
because none of the structures are upholding anymore
and I thought Damon was kind of like the pinnacle of that
Damon and Hugh kind of
both represent that to me in a very concise way.
True. But everybody had a bit of that.
The Tumbledon sequences were awesome.
I really like, this is probably my favorite of Gwain that we've actually gotten.
My man, totally agreed.
Being able to see the relationship that he had, like the way how he actually stands up to Ormond, he doesn't tolerate it.
Like he knows, like there's a limit to how far he can go with standing up.
But you could see that he loaves the guy and he makes that pretty clear.
But then you see the dynamic that he has as an uncle to Darren.
And that also brings out a different side of Darren that we haven't seen yet.
That made it feel a lot more human.
Totally.
And then Gwain demonstrating his smartness at the very end there.
And I'm like, hey, man, this is why I went out to fight.
Yeah.
So I thought that was like really awesome.
The code switching of Darren in this episode, the minute he was with Gwain, I thought was really awesome.
Because it's like, oh, wow, there's a whole other side of this character that we were doing the guest work at last episode.
I love that there is sort of these echoes of Otto in Gwain and Ormond.
and two very different sides of his personality.
Yeah.
And even there,
they cut when,
when Darren was asking about,
uh,
to Ormond about Otto and,
you know,
I like that they cut it off there because,
uh,
you can see even Ormond sees this weakness,
but he also has that same weakness,
but also the same cunning at the same time.
I love that whole sequence.
Also love the whole Barathean sort of playing that,
playing that in a clever way where,
you know,
well,
which of the great houses are huge.
year. Oh, great. The Barathian showed up. My plan is working. Everything's going great. And then
pull that right out from under him.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are like halfway through the year. And if building your credit was one of
those goals that you had never started or you wanted to get better at, this is your side because
you're listening to this video because this video is sponsored by Kickoff. You know, it took me a while,

They could kickoff.
I wonder if they, do you think they knew about the smell?
Was the thing that was intentional?
Yeah.
I feel like it probably had to be
Like stuff like that seems like it travels word like that travels
You throw Orman off his sensory
You kind of make him a little bit disoriented
Yeah because it's like if you hadn't had going there
The plan probably would have worked
You know absolutely
Yeah it's designed to like fully disorient
Yeah which is like it's so believable
Because they probably would have to trudge through the muck anyway
But they're so mucked up that yeah
That seems like it was full on intentional
I mean you do have to wonder though
Would Ormond have said oh and here's
the king right away if he hadn't just been so overwhelmed by the smell yeah yeah that's true that's
it's such a funny good shit good shit all around um how are you feeling about uh let's go amen and alice
i feel like is a as a huge part of this episode too man worried i'm freaking worried i mean you know
she's in uh i like alice but you know her and amand seems like a real nasty duo and i feel like
she can empower him to do some
some remember they're both bad for each other
but good for each other you know
I there he's bad
for her because I like her and I don't want to dislike
her but also yeah I don't know everything about
this seems cursed her and hall is cursed
and the dragon eggs are
a boon of some sort
although you know you got to fire
them and there's a lot of that's a long
game
I don't honestly don't
I'm happy because right now
I have four
boating feelings about that, but I also kind of don't know what to make of it in terms of I could see this being a big boost for Amon's storyline, or maybe he might, you know, go out with a whimper.
I really cannot tell if he's going to amount to it. It seems like he has to amount to more than what's come up to now, but I also don't really know.
I don't know. I don't know. I get the impression that Damon was an audition and trying, whichever.
she failed out with Amon she's now doing with Amon instead you know.
That's really fascinating take.
I feel like this could be anybody.
You know what's happening.
You can't say it.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And no.
Nice try.
They're correct.
Because we've, no.
It's honestly the most wonderful thing about this genuinely is that I don't know what is
at this point.
And at this point, I have no idea where they're going to go with half of the stuff that they've
started.
This particular.
dynamic, though, I just absolutely love.
I also feel like the first two seasons,
is the season three?
Yeah.
The first two seasons were so,
let's say grounded in the politics.
And beyond the dragons,
there really wasn't a lot of crazy elements
of mysticism and the stuff that, like, you get out of essence.
And I love that we've been able to explore
a lot of the weird side of things.
And Harron Hall, I feel like they've done such a great job
at making the location a character
and of itself, which does justice
to what Heron Hall is.
Is that thing with the dragons in the book?
I don't know like it is.
With the dragons?
With the dragon eggs.
That's Michael trying to be coy about it,
but really he's just like,
I don't remember it.
I don't know.
It's tough because what I don't want not know.
What I want to say about those particular
dragon eggs is something that is,
I'm gonna...
Are they DeNaris' dragon eggs
later?
No, no, no, no.
DeNaris' dragon eggs
were the ones that we saw
get brought to Esos.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
All right.
And do you remember
when Renair was like,
we have to protect the family,
blah, blah, blah,
we're gonna send them out to Esos?
I don't want to rewatch any Game of Thrones.
I like that I forgot so much
because this makes this more enjoyable.
These dragon eggs are something different entirely.
I love to hear it.
And that's all I'm going to say.
The thing with Alice seems like she could either be someone
who prays on whoever happens to be there
or she just knows all of the prophecies
and this is all part of the plan.
I thought Greg had some interesting, cool things
that he said about that, that will definitely
come true. Maybe.
I mean, when I was watching, it felt like she was bound
there. I felt like, to your point,
I feel like that brought more that mythological
sense of like the witch is held captive
in these, she's confined here to
Heron Hall, and the only way of her to break free is she has to
have some type of tie the knot in some way.
Some ritual has to be confused.
One of the last kiss.
I don't know. Am I like, is she secretly like
a thousand? Is it like a, a
Melisandre thing where it's like she's a thousands-year-old hag or whatever, but she's cloaked in this, you know, sort of alluring package.
It is crazy that she's holding down that entire fortress with just herself and now a dead stable boy.
She's the spirit of the Heron Hall.
I thought the cat, no, she has the most normal name.
The scene with Hugh, that was something else, man.
Did he murder that guy just to sneak in there?
That scene with Hugh when he went in there.
Definitely murder that dude
The actress plays cat her performance was
Brilliant and I love the shift in perspective
And like her feeling
Like you just sought power
You wanted this power again but you lost everything
And you lost me and I needed you to protect me
And then his solution in this moment
Instead of like comforting her and letting her be like
Acknowledge and affirming her feelings
You know couples counseling stuff
He didn't do any of that shit
I'm off of that in flea bottom, great.
He's just like, shut the fuck off.
He's putting his hand over the mouth was like, yoke.
He said resorts to power.
Again, demonstrating, like, does it, it's like, we understand Hugh, but I get, now that we're seeing it in her perspective, I'm like, oh, I never even saw this about Hugh when we, as we've been watching this, you know, like I didn't.
You've been off gallivanting on a dragon while I've been going through unimaginable suffering.
Well, the show put you in his POV.
so I've adopted his POV
and I'm like oh I didn't really think about this other side
and yeah she's actually right about a lot
I like that it put it in a different light there
how do you feel John yeah I mean that's a great scene
that that scene made me realize
that I wish Olf and Hugh
were slightly more of characters
oh I like you I like you a lot in this show
I like Hugh
and it's just a little thing it's not a huge thing
Like I like him.
I like, oh, if they're a little bit like, we don't have time for this.
So, like, we don't really do a heck of a lot of development beyond what they already are.
And you can surmise what their frustrations are.
We got a scene with the two of them this episode, which is nice.
But, you know, there's a, there's POV to be had there that I think could be better explored.
But this is one of my, it's harsh.
I don't like the circumstances, but best, best scene, one of the best scenes featuring him and her together, like it broke heartbreaking.
Yeah.
And is emblematic of the themes hugely.
Definitely.
Huge.
Hugh.
No, I thought that was probably.
Hugh was hoping to go in there and be like.
Like, I guess what I...
Hugh and Ulf have this thing to me where it's like the main game is like, okay, which one of them is going to turn?
Which one of them is going to surprise you?
And I kind of want them to feel more alive so I wouldn't really know.
I feel like it got boiled down.
They had the slams.
Because I agree with you.
They had to slam so much in that whole arc of them becoming Dragon Riders and, you know,
and they have been supporting characters, which I think is kind of the whole point, right?
Of like living in the shadow of Damon and Reneira and, you know, the, you know, the, the trueborn Targaryens.
But I thought that performance was probably one of the best supporting character performances.
Yeah.
I felt like she also achieved so much with such little time and such little script to work with.
where do you guys think that's going?
Like if you had to like hedge your bets right now
with Ulf and Hugh,
where do you think we're going?
I get the
the thing is that Rennera keeps making promises
that are not being fulfilled
and Hugh had this
he sold himself on something
that what would happen once he got a dragon
and everything that would change for him
and I imagine that he's going to start
What this show's been doing is everyone who's close to Reneira is doubting her, and she's, she's mistrusting everyone who gets, who's close to her to, so I feel like there's just going to be like a tumbling effect.
I don't really know what Ulf.
Tumbles and tumbles.
I feel like, Ulf wants to, like, maybe desert this in some capacity.
But, yeah, like, I think he was going to switch sides or some bullshit.
I feel like he's going to do some betrayal.
I feel like because I'm of two minds, I'm like, because they're stationed in Tumbledton, you know, I could, the segue would be really.
easy to make the sort of like I am fed up with this but at the same time like you do something terrible
in old timbleton because you feel like you might want revenge for what they've done to his wife
yeah there the other road i could see is like utter chaos because what this episode has shown is
like all of the ripcords all of the surpluses like there's nothing really and everyone's starting
to flail and nobody feels like they're being served or the promises are being delivered on so
i could imagine something neat in terms of olf and or hugh
going to Ormond and being like, hey, let's flip this around because you seem like you could actually
provide for us.
Same time, I mean, this doesn't, I don't know, I don't know what it's like for cat living here.
It doesn't seem like it's been good based on that one scene we got earlier from them living here.
So I could also, yeah, just imagine a situation where everything's so nasty and screwed that
just like everyone goes off kind of for themselves at a certain point.
I could see Hugh and Ulf becoming rogue almost
just because neither of these guys have much
much reason to
Hugh and Alff's excellent adventure
Neither of these guys have much reason to trust any
of the people in power
and giving them the orders
I really enjoy that
and Damon is a guy who easily
is on the brink of going off and doing so he wants to go
scorch this place you could flip dragons
you could lose some dragons out of it seems like everything
is headed for mess true true
well okay
Bill and Adam hooking up we'll just see how that
progresses um
I don't feel like we did you see that coming
I mean I felt like an earlier
scene
I forget what was it the one we're on the beach or something
yeah but it felt more like
this show
wants it to happen and I don't
really I wasn't like
feeling it with them
I don't feel compelled to argue
I feel like the writing is telegraphing
this is what's going to happen and yet I was like
I'm not really
I don't know what that would lead to
whatever but it was a fucking fight
We're too underappreciated characters
Of color we're in love now
But she's also grieving her loss
You know there's a complicated complicated
stuff
So Allison and Helena
Renera and Allison
I like how
Allison is this little bit of like this toxic
relationship that she can't just fucking let go
It keeps justifying
All these other words on top of it's of why she keeps her around
but the Allison and Helena
How do you like Helena as a
How do you feel about the dynamic
Helena and Allison? Oh, I
I love Helena. I think she's such a fascinating
character and she's like
a bit of pureness
and sort of innocence that exists
in this place that is the
antithesis of pureness and
innocence. And I think for
Allison, she is a very
grounding sort of figure
of like, okay, here's one of the few
things that I got right in my
existence and I want to protect that.
Yeah.
But protect that to the point of it being like unhealthy and unkind and really, really toxic.
And the dynamic between the two of them and that trust breaking down and what that's doing
to Allison, I think is so interesting because she is a survivor first and foremost.
She will do whatever it takes to survive.
But the mental deterioration that must be going on in her head as she's like forced to
like go and travel to figure out how to kill one kid.
Well, trying to protect the other who's mad at her for lying because she wants to keep her alive, not for her necessarily, but for Allison.
And then her best friend thing with Reneer.
Like, the whole dynamic is just so freaking brutal and fascinating.
And she just, the room gets smaller and smaller, literally and figuratively, as to her options.
And somehow she's still in the game.
And I, despite all of her awfulness.
I really, like, love her character for that.
All right.
John?
I agree.
Agree.
And, I mean, just Helena, I love that presence.
And I can absolutely see Rayneera making use of that, of the shining.
But, no, I mean, I echo everything Michael said about them pretty much.
I disagree.
I agree with your disagreeing of me.
Double down.
Even though I.
I kind of feel like Olivia Cook's given a lot of the same kind of shit to do and say all the time.
Yeah, she has to make that face, that wide-eyed, wide-eyed tearing up, like, I have to be very careful through a really tough conversation I brought upon myself now.
I also like, I also like the scene, even though it's like the same thing all the time.
There's something I enjoy about every time I watch those scenes.
I'm so impressed because you're absolutely right.
It's the same exact thing that they give her, but her performance is so good that somehow it's still great.
Well, because she's always, it seems in line with the Hightower nature of those, like, I, even in a confined space, I am still crafting, even, you know, if the craft is now beyond the want for, you know, she wants to be free and all that stuff.
If there's one thing with the directing of her character that I wish they were emphasizing a little more, like, I think one of the things we liked about episode three was we felt like Renair was going to explode at any moment right now.
Like they just kept getting worse.
And with Allison, I, the reason it feels the same.
because the level of of being like dismayed or bothered by what's happening for lack of a better word
I feel like by this point she should be like this is fucking insane because of it yeah yeah yeah
yeah she's like do you real like first you wanted me to kill a gon after I get him killed
and now you want me to fucking get rid of aiming like this is insane I'm waiting for her I don't
feel like her performance is at that level of like full breakdown yet when I'm like I've got
I feel like you would be there by this point that you would just achieve it.
I know she can't, but that's what I feel like the art would be is that she can't.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She should feel that it's there, but and I feel like the pitch is constantly the same.
Show us, yeah, it's like, give us a sense for the building up of this or like the need to like vent it somewhere because, yeah, I agree.
It's like you can't show it to Reneera and you have to have that buckled down.
But I don't know.
You could even just do a solo scene where you just see her experiencing this sort of.
of ridiculous around the chamber pot just cut to a quick scene of like I just need to scream into a pillow
yeah because this is suffocating and it's claustrophobic the situation she's I know she's
I was kind of hoping we were going to spend more time in the dark court like I know it's very
doctor who resolve yeah next time it's fine yeah that's true that's fair um I mean yeah
then we got some like little thing oh well I guess the rena moment was actually a pretty
big thing too yeah yeah she sucks she was there she was sad it sucks
I just get, it's like watching
Dobby the house else
just be so sad
dude that character
I do have to say
is like just the most miserable
Dobby's dragon
don't be caught the dragon
what the dragon
ate Dobby's friend
and now Dobby must
live in a cave
on the hillside
and Dolby doesn't want
to get kicked out of the room door
just throw right in a sock
all right
just throw right to a sock
god damn it
so true
That's good.
Yeah.
It's, yeah.
I guess there, I guess, I don't know.
That, that character kind of suffers from a similar thing where every time we check on in with her,
it's the same kind of thing where it's just like, man, everything sucks for you and no one
is helping you feel any better and you just look like you're every, every time I see you,
I'm like, yeah, you got nothing.
Does it feel self-inflicted?
Does it feel self-inflicted to you guys?
Yes, definitely.
Like, do you think that if she went to Renera, that Rennaro would be like, man, that is terrible
and it's going to take me a long time to forgive you.
but I'm definitely not going to kill you and your dragon.
I don't know, I don't think she would thinking logically about such a situation like this.
This is someone who is written with shame at this moment.
And it is self-inflicted, self-exile, you know?
There's a lot of, there's a lot of that.
Absolutely, I was thinking that too was like Luke Skywalker.
Yeah, she's, yeah.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, she got to throw the dragon over her shoulder next time.
Extraordia.
I thought the most comedy to mind would be from this suffering woman right.
That's God intended.
Yeah
Her sister is having a good old time
Her sisters
They didn't even care that she can't find her sister
Yeah it's kind of weird right
Yeah no one no one's even been like
Where's Raydon?
I forget that they're sisters
I forget that they're related to Damon
I forget I forget they're related
Dave
The whole who's your dad
Conversation
I had to jog my memory
Because when first he went first
When first when Adam said my father
I was like don't you mean your father
Your guys's father
I was like oh wait no
No you're thinking of
Yeah, I forget that.
Her mother
Yeah, was her
eventually connected the dots.
But yeah, I feel like
Bela and Raina are the two characters.
They're like an even more watered
version of the Huell thing for me
where I'm like, I want to
have an association with either of you.
And I feel like since everything happened
with Jace, we've been on a plateau
with Raina.
It was confusing during the battle, being like,
ah, who's on much dragon?
Well, that was so compelling. And now everything with Rana
has also been the same scene over
and over and over and over again.
So,
her and then,
Bela is just easy to forget about
in general,
and I wish these two characters
had more anything
after three seasons.
We'll find out.
But then,
ending with Corlis,
I don't know,
it looks like he'd killed him,
but I can't quite tell him.
They snatched him up.
They can't kill him.
I don't think they killed him.
I don't know.
Don't say anything.
Michael, be quiet, Michael.
Oh, don't say anything about,
Michael.
I love the irony that.
Finally is like,
all right,
we're going back.
There was one other thing.
Renera is seen on the throne while taking the petition.
Oh, yeah.
That was overwhelming.
Oh, and then she cut herself on it.
She cut herself.
Oh, I hate it.
I hate it.
I hate it.
Do you think that's why in Game of Thrones, there's a lot less swords?
Yes.
Yes.
Just a lot of people getting tetanus over the years.
They need to coat this thing in.
They need to put one of those plastic covers over it.
It is sort of a, it's one of my favorite things about Thrones.
this idea of, you know,
and we saw it in season one of him feeling
like the throne is rejecting him and his reign.
There should be like a sign there.
Like caution, sharp charreder.
Yeah.
Watch your ass.
You know, and for me, it's funny because up until literally that scene,
I did feel like she was worthy.
And then the minute that she said,
I'll light a candle.
That's like the westeros equivalent of thoughts and prayers.
Yeah.
And it's just like the opposite of leadership.
Like in this moment, she is so focused on herself
that she has completely removed herself from the realities of actual real people
that she is supposed to protect.
Definitely, definitely.
This is just a straight thought,
but I just love that we get Dan Fogler for one scene in an episode
where he gets half a line and something thrown at him and then we're doing it.
Does the George Bush dodge the shoe?
He's still credited.
He's still credited.
He's in the opening.
opening credit. Single build, opening credit.
That was a very overwhelming scene, though, and that's one of the few times where I'm like,
yeah, like the governance, like the actual governing. I'm like, how do you do?
You got nothing to offer these people. What are you freaking going to do?
You know, this feels impossible.
Guys, this was a really solid episode, in my opinion, and it looks like we all kind of share
the same on this one. I want to call it my favorite of the season, but why do we need to?
It's another great episode. What do you guys think, though? You satisfied?
Leave it in the comments below. We'll see you guys next week. Thank you so much for being here.
