Starting point is 00:01:40 That's all I got to say. Anything else, Tara, my girl? We ride at dawn. And it's dawn right now. Yes, you guys. Wow. Do you think everybody, like, that watches this franchise,
Starting point is 00:02:00 watch that and everybody understood. I just would leave it play in the background. Just in case we heard that we don't, I wouldn't think that there'd be something else, but maybe there's a conversation. I don't know, I don't know. I doubt that there's anything, but we'll just to make sure because we don't want to be the ones who missed anything.
Starting point is 00:02:15 Okay, so we just watched Jason goes to hell. Jason, in fact, did go to the hell at the very end. It's fair to this movie that it's not called Jason is in hell. So I guess I just thought that he was going to be there for a longer. But it is interesting. And this is a good lead up to Freddie versus Jason, especially if they're both fighting in hell. I thought this was cool that he had the sister. I'm glad that she's the final girl, makes it out.
Starting point is 00:02:43 And with the kid. And the boyfriend, we could definitely do more there or the baby daddy. I am curious to see what goes on. Yeah, okay. Nothing after. Nothing after. But yeah, I know that this one, I felt your energy could be the world, could be this, but it felt like this one wasn't doing it for you fully.
Starting point is 00:03:04 It wasn't. But then it did at the end. But then it did. The end, it brought me back. And you guys, I'll be, I'll be honest with you. I'm getting off Prozac. I'm starting well, Butron, it's a small amount. It's messing with my life right now.
Starting point is 00:03:15 So I'm tired. I've been yawning a lot. It doesn't mainly always have to do with the movies. This one did not. This one didn't, like. We love a girl who takes care of herself and her. brain in her mind and her body and her soul and sometimes it means it's hard to do your job sometimes it's hard because it's very new I'm only three days in and they said you get tired
Starting point is 00:03:33 to have headaches it's it's drama I'm sure you guys know you've you've been through it but uh I mean for for this just off the bat I was like what where he's he's a he's a cannibal now and he is a black tongue and I was just like they're going wild and he's glowing and okay um yeah I but the cannibal when we just see the first He eats the heart. Like, the rules don't fully make sense with that. Like, how was the heart able to get him to eat it before the thing goes into his body? But, okay, sure, I don't even care.
Starting point is 00:04:05 It was so sick looking that it was cool. Yes, like, that's the thing that would, that did get me back is that the special effects, which I know you guys, the practical effects with the special effects combined looked pretty dope. And the little alien guy right around, that looked great. William was sick. Out of the body. A lot of other, the kill, like with a girl. all the way through her body.
Starting point is 00:04:26 That looked awesome. I like the neck kill with the window. There's some cool kills in here and great practical effects, which did bring me, which is why I like the franchise. The story aspect and the script aspect of it, I wasn't really in love with it,
Starting point is 00:04:41 which is why a lot of times I was like, okay, this is like a weird way to go. I just didn't feel like anything was strong enough. Like, there wasn't an explanation for Clint being like, you got to pay for it, so I'm going to break all your fingers. Yeah. You know, there's some stuff in here
Starting point is 00:04:55 that I'm like, what's the payoff for that? Why are these people just popping up for a second? And they have weird foundational, like, dialogue. I didn't understand that. I'm with you for some of that, especially because like you, I felt like we didn't get some payoff. So also like you, I'm really into mother daughter's storylines because it touches my soul. And so we set up this mother daughter storyline. They're on the phone.
Starting point is 00:05:16 And we never actually see them together. And when we hear Jason is down there with the mom, I kind of was expecting him to have to inhabit the mom's body first. and then she's going to have to kill her own mom, which I was like, wow, that would be like a wild moment, right? Like, we didn't get to see them together and we know that she loves her mom. She keeps seeing on the phone, I love you so much, mom, thank you, mom, whatever. And then we know he's down there. And I know that the rhyme, the story went, and the only way he can come back into his body is to Rvorhys.
Starting point is 00:05:46 So I get that. But I do think that the stronger choice might have been to put him in the mom's body and seen a showdown there. Right. That would have been an awesome. Then we don't get the hockey masturbation, so I also get it. But like you said, there just wasn't as much payoff for some of the things I felt like they were setting up. Even with the baby.
Starting point is 00:06:04 And I'm not saying that I wanted to watch a movie where the baby's really in danger the whole time. But we don't really see the baby in too much danger except for one second with the tongue situation. But like I wanted there to be a little more payoff with the baby. Yeah. Yeah, a little more payoff with the buddy relationship between Randy and the cop. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Like we, it's like, oh, so do they go way back?
Starting point is 00:06:27 Was there always issues? Like, but in general, it did keep me entertained and guessing like, oh, what's going on here? And it was different. We got away from Swamp. Swampland. We went to Crystal Lake for a little bit, but we were away from there for a while. Yeah, that's true. Which was cool.
Starting point is 00:06:41 So I would say major pros and cons, but a great ending, which really is like what will be left in our mouth. Yeah, I mean, the ending made up for any, any issues I had with it, so. I want trivia. I just wasn't as on the edge of my seat as I have been in other ones. And also there's some of it where I was like, why? Why did the writers choose that? Like I, yeah, I was a little befounded in some parts. But yeah, find that trivia, girl, I'm interested.
Starting point is 00:07:12 I'm going to find it and I'm not going to tell you any. But, yeah, anyway, if, yeah, I'm tired. I'm tired. but I'm a pet back up soon. I just have to get some more sleep, y'all. Okay, Jason goes to hell. So this movie came out in 93. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Which that's way later. I thought that this was still late 80s, but I guess not. And let me just make sure that I was right. Yeah, Leslie Jordan. Okay, good, good, rocks. Took me a second. It took me way too long. I'm a big fan of his.
Starting point is 00:07:45 And let's see some trivia. Or was a big fan. Okay, trivia-wise. Here we go. There was allegedly a comic book that bridged the gap between Friday the 13th, Part 8, Jason takes Manhattan, and this film. It followed Jason after he was dipped in toxic waste in a New York City sewer, walked his way back to Crystal Lake. It also supposedly explains why the FBI has a task force specifically for Jason, but producer Sean Cunningham and director Adam Marcus have stated that they made Jason Goes to Hell as a follow-up to the Friday 13th original, 1980. mostly ignored everything from Friday 13th, Part 2 to Friday 13th, Part 8.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Oh, well, yeah. So this is just a follow-up. Got it. Okay. The reason of this film is titled, Jason Goes to Hell the Final Friday, isn't, instead of Friday 13th, Part 9, or something similar, is that New Line Cinema had bought the rights to the Jason Voorhe's character from Paramount but did not have the rights to the name Friday the 13.
Starting point is 00:08:51 That's why this isn't on Max. That's awesome. Okay. Let's say one early concept of this movie was Jason goes to L.A. In which two rival gangs would be fighting when Jason would show up and start murdering them, the rival gangs band together to defeat Jason. Can't the ideas just get like... Imagine it being like West Side Story.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Like, oh my God. Jason's heart was used to. from dusk till dawn as monkey man's heart in 96 that's cool uh the jungle gym in front of vorhe's house was also used in the birds 1963 my favorite hitchcock uh Stephen williams could only play bounty hunter creton duke if he could dress as a cowboy would only play all right that was his request okay okay okay um that's this one doesn't have a much trivia there were plans for a high-tech video game based on this movie. The game was created but never released.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I wonder why. Why would they create it and never release it? Yeah. Let me tell you a little bit about Adam Marcus. Okay. Adam Marcus is the one who directed and wrote this movie. Okay. And he directed Secret Santa.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Nope. Nerd girls video conspiracy. Let it snow in this. So not. too much okay nope uh what was the person's name you were like i i know that person oh it was colp something stephen culp who is that cunningham was the one oh stephen cunningham yeah that's the one sean cunningham yeah did he do the first one he was a producer of it yes i knew that i was like that's the first one guy yeah producer yep yep okay yeah any final thoughts bib no i just i don't know sean
Starting point is 00:10:50 from the first this one okay but I think Sean's head was in the right place because he was with the Freddie coming through that's awesome like if we needed this movie to have that I'm down I feel you yeah
Starting point is 00:11:06 um she Jex we adore you thank you for being with us for this journey we finally I think have made it to Freddy versus Jason finally we can't wait for that and we are getting closer and closer every day to Halloween season We are. Looking forward to that as well. Leave a comment, like, subscribe, all that stuff, pick up a sweater, or whatever we're selling at this point. And we'll see you next time. Later, Rejects.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Gabriel versus Greg. Oh, man. Oh, no. The cinematic, the Gittimatic crossover, grove, gall. Ging Gagin Gagin Gugumgai Greg versus Gabriel. Wow, well, we know what my powers are. Oh, look out. Hyperactive taekwondo is what they say. Look out. I can move my legs without moving the upper part of my body.
Starting point is 00:12:09 It's almost like I'm levitating sometimes when you place the camera in the right position and my leg just comes up. Have you seen you don't mess with the Zohan? They got that for me. And Gabriel's powers that I got a fight well. Oh, I got it. Oh, you do? Gabriel.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Gabriel has special atheist telekinesis. Oh, Jesus. That's the scariest one. He can work miracles, but not through the power of any higher power. Just his own power. Brilliant. All right. That's terrifying.
Starting point is 00:12:39 That's terrifying. That is terrifying because where's he getting that power? I almost forgot. No one man should have all that power. I almost forgot that. I almost forgot that Gabriel was a. atheist. It's okay. And I don't know how I could forget that. It's all right. So many times you're talking about it. I almost forgot where we were in this series. And
Starting point is 00:12:57 technically you should both be going to hell this week. But it's okay. My bad. We're killing it. We'll get there eventually. There's alternate time. There's a lot of Tyler. And there's rights issues to think about, you know, who knows? They only packaged the first seven together anyway. And then you got to know. That's true. So Gabriel. See you at hell. See you at hell. And space, too.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Whatever. My bad. It's good.
