With Christmas around the corner, John & Aaron take on an Action / Christmas CLASSIC giving their Lethal Weapon Reaction, Recap, Analysis, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review!! John Humphrey & Aaron Alexander diving into the buddy-cop classic that redefined action cinema and launched one of the most iconic duos in movie history. Directed by Richard Donner (Superman, The Goonies) and written by Shane Black (The Nice Guys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), the film stars Mel Gibson (Braveheart, Mad Max) as Martin Riggs, an unpredictable, grief-stricken LAPD cop on the edge, and Danny Glover (The Color Purple, Predator 2) as Roger Murtaugh, a seasoned detective whose favorite phrase is “I’m too old for this…” Their partnership begins as pure chaos — but quickly becomes one of the most legendary pairings in action-comedy history. John & Aaron break down all the greatest moments: Riggs’ death-defying sniper takedown, the wild Christmas tree lot shootout, Murtaugh’s hostage bathtub scene, Riggs’ emotional unraveling, the brutal lawn-sprinkler fistfight finale, and the film’s surprising emotional core — the bond that forms between two men who desperately need someone to believe in. They explore how Lethal Weapon blends hard-edged action, sharp humor, and heartfelt character work to create a blueprint that influenced every buddy-cop movie for decades. Starting point is 00:00:00 This week's video is sponsored by Acorns, the money app that makes it simple and cheap to make small yet significant investments. You have anything to say? Just that I am not old enough for this shit, or I wasn't old enough for this. Actually, I don't know if you're supposed to say that word in the intro, but I wasn't old enough for this-ish when I was a lad. But I am now, so you get the jocles to do it. Roll it. all right all right groovy hey hey hey hey hey what's releasing for it's pulled out channel four oh yeah damn we did it we did it you guys we just watched lethal weapon we did
Starting point is 00:00:49 oh my goodness gracious me this was a long time coming people have told us about this movie these movies know a lot of people who adore this franchise yeah Good golly. What an introduction. Yeah. I can consider myself lucky to be amongst them now. I'm happy. This was a great time. And we're going back where I accidentally clicked out of the movie. As the credits started rolling. You know how Amazon and every other streaming service does. Second them credits start to roll. Get the hell out of here and watch something else. Like wrap it up. Patronize our service immediately on Moore's Thub. No, I just want to see some of the casting credits.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Yeah, let's see them casting. No, Amazon, we do want to watch the credits. Come on, Mitchell Ryan. I know I've seen the general before. There's a little Christmas music going on. Yeah, yeah, there we go. There we go. Goodness, gracious me.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Wow, police woman, police officer. Yeah. Psychologist. Let's try to catch some of them, that guy. Is Al-Liong, though. There we go. That was him. That was him in the alleyway there.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Well, all right. Burbank, the cat. And Sam, the dog. I guess that's just who those... Yeah, they're actual names. I like it, though. I'm mad at it. Dar Robinson, one of the motion picture industry's greatest stuntman dedicated to his memory.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Wow. Good golly. Steve Perry, production manager from Journey. Well, all right. All righty, you guys. If you listen to this on... the apples or the spotifies or your other audio platforms make sure you go and give us five stars as we get into talking about this movie also we want to thank the people over at prepper
Starting point is 00:02:41 for cutting down these mother freaking highlights also we want you to go on over our youtube channel give us a like give us a subscribe oh god get that get that ring that bell so you get notified anytime a new video is coming out hey No, it happens a lot. You never know what's coming. You know it. What's going on? We have questions.
Starting point is 00:03:06 We got some questions. We got some patron questions. Before we get into it, let's give our quick thoughts, Quikipoo, before we get into our extended conversation. Johnny, see you know, Johnny boy. Yeah. What's thinking? How are you feeling, dog? I'm feeling good.
Starting point is 00:03:21 My headache is better. Hey. My head feels nice right now. Mm-hmm. I've been laughing. I've been jumping at the action. I've been, I've had my heart warmed by unlikely bonds and friendships flourishing. This was a really good time.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And as, you know, again, a movie that's had a lot of hype for, for our viewing experience, I think it lived up to that. And two, just to see, yeah, Shane Black and Richard Donner, I mean, obviously Richard Donner, like in his prime and Shane Black, like, on the rise at this point in time, you know, in this movie having so many of his isms. Yeah, this is both really. fun and enjoyable just as a movie in general, but also kind of fascinating for, you know, the little time capsule that it represents as well as the, you know, travelogue of the Southern
Starting point is 00:04:10 California areas. This is really great. How are you feeling? I'm feeling good, man. This was definitely a really fun movie to watch today. And I'm happy that it did live up to the hype. And obviously we're poking fun to certain things in the movie, but that's not knocks on the movie itself. It's just like, you know, fun little little details that are uh you know just you know part of part of movie making it's not uh anything reflective of our experience of the film um but yeah overall i had a fantastic time i really like these characters i think that they did a great job of showcasing not only their relationship as far as how they work as you know police officers and how they kind of build off of each other's uh styles but i think they are in a personal relationship had a lot of
Starting point is 00:04:58 peaks and valleys, you know, from from sweetness to comedy to tension and anger with one another. I feel like they walk those lines really well and kind of were the perfect odd couple and have a great foundation for what the buddy cop genre would become in the future. And I think that this one is still tells, is one that stands at the top and still holds still holds up against the test of top. time yeah you guys so that's my quick little opinion before we get into it and now we must get into the questions let's rock let's do this thing randy cruz lethal weapon is a buddy cop classic it is the basic the basis for everything the shame block uh excels as a writer would you how would you rank it compared to his other films in the genre kiss kiss bang nice guys the last boy scout action hero iron man three yes i'm including this well it's no iron man three i hey you know
Starting point is 00:06:05 there's some good stuff in iron man three i feel like iron man three is a little underrated um i like armin three i do too uh yeah oh this is tricky um i haven't seen the last boy scout so i cannot rank that one i think that's the only one i haven't seen because we lost lost action hero right yeah yeah yeah which was a utter blast very fun which i mean oh god me him and coy yeah this is this is tough i mean i guess for me the top three right now would be this the nice guys and the last action hero uh it's really hard to to rank them in order partly because i you know you're dealing with like well the pressure of feeling like i should rank this one at number one and also the recency bias of i just saw it and i'm high off that you know enjoy high off enjoying that experience so i'm like
Starting point is 00:06:51 this could be the number one i think the nice guys is really well tuned um and, you know, is a great elaboration on this kind of thing with a slightly different dynamic. The last action hero has only gotten more, you know, pertinent and relevant over time. Kiss Kiss, bang, bang is the one I need to go back and revisit. Same.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I'll have to do a rewatch of that. Yeah, same. Because I remember liking that movie. And I know people love that movie. And I didn't, at this moment in time, I don't have a very strong association with it. way or another, which I'm sure is going to upset some people because I know people love it. But yeah, I guess right now it would be some kind of lethal weapon, nice guys and last action
Starting point is 00:07:38 hero kind of grappling for that top three. And then after that, I would say, Kiss Kiss, Iron Man 3 and then Last Boy Scout at the end, just until I see it and figure out a place to rank it. Yeah. First off, I want to say before I give my ranking that I do enjoy all the movies that are on this list, except for the Lost Boy Scout because I have not seen it. And it's been also a long time for me since I've seen kiss his bang, bang, and I don't remember anything about it. But with a lethal weapon, nice guys, last action hero on Iron Man 3, I would probably go, it's tough because I have a stronger association with the nice guys.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Because I remember that's one of my underrated favorites that I love to show people. so for this specific moment right now i'm going to have to go last action hero for iron man three two i mean iron man three is three lethal weapon is two and nice guys number one yeah that would be my ranking for this one but uh thank you for sending in the question man i appreciate you absolutely j rushden question was this movie darker than you remember it deals with a lot of trauma and with acceptance um yeah man i mean i don't think it's extremely dark. I mean, granted, there are dark elements in it, but I feel like it towed that line pretty well. But the, the drama that is there is pretty impactful. It is legitimate in
Starting point is 00:09:01 trying to showcase that that pain and get us believing that he is a guy who has kind of been through the ringer as far as, you know, his, his personal life as far as, as, as, as Riggs goes. And his wife's death really affected him. You really believe that this guy wants to, you know, take himself out and I'm happy that he had that arc over the course of the movie and then plus you know the stuff with the the daughter who you know ended her life at the beginning of the film so you know it was it was there were dark elements in it but I don't feel like it treated it with a sense of extreme heaviness so I would say that yeah I mean the things in it are possibly darker than expected but I don't think the execution made it feel grim at all yeah it's a good
Starting point is 00:09:45 way to say that because because you leave with you know a lot of the fun feelings that you would have during a buddy cop action movie and there is yeah so much humor and energy happening on screen it's fascinating honestly because yeah that's subject matter that you got to handle the right way you can't be too flippant or silly about it but at the same time yeah they managed to make it something that when it's happening when you're watching him break down on the couch and considering it and you're just in this close-up on his face and he's got the gun and he's you know going through this cycle of emotions like that's that's pretty heavy and and you know his character being this sort of loose canon again is another cop movie trope but i thought having his
Starting point is 00:10:27 emotional backstory such that it's presented here yeah made for a guy who really felt like yeah this dude's a little unhandedly he's got nothing to lose i get why and also he's incredibly skilled but they don't you know by today's standards it was handled in a way where i'm like yeah i believe all the skills that this guy has and we don't need to do a whole bunch of flashing back to it we get a you know he's got his tattoo you know and these little things that sell it and yeah like because the relationship that develops between him and murta over time is like so wholesome in a weird way and because they rib each other in a way that so evidently says like hey man i care about you you know like yeah we're a bit of an odd couple you drive me crazy but i you know i believed
Starting point is 00:11:08 their friendship by the end and yeah it's like because there's so much humor and because you get to see Riggs as a guy with humor when he's feeling all right. Yeah, I think this does avoid being dour in a situation where it could heavily feel either tonally out of place or, yeah, or it could bring the movie down in some way in terms of the mood. But nah, this weirdly, for as heavy as, you know, the intro circumstances and then what's going on with Riggs, yeah, they handled it in a nice way so that the stuff that's dark that's heavy, feels like they gave it credence, but they didn't, yeah, make this like a dour experience overall. And that's, that's pretty expert. Yeah. I agree with that.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Thanks, Jay Rustin. Appreciate you. Maurice Gray Jr. How does Riggs compare to today's action heroes, John Wick, for example? Oh, goodness gracious. I mean, he's very fun. Like, it's interesting. I think this was a nice action hero role because it's nicely rounded like he's got to be able to act he's got to be able to sell the trauma and the the the pain and the sadness but i don't know like we're we're well into the 80s almost to the 90s by this point so it's not that 70s thing necessarily but it does have a kind of quality where you feel like you're just kind of observing this guy and you know his character emotion like the way he expresses as a character felt always very natural what was going on so it's weird
Starting point is 00:12:39 He doesn't come with as much of that, like, badass, you know, brooding. I think a lot of our action heroes now are buff and brooding. And, I mean, John Wick, not necessarily, like, ripped. But, yeah, definitely a brooding kind of laconic character. Yeah, Riggs, it's weird. He's over the top in a way, but he feels like an actual guy. And, yeah, like, he's fun and brash, definitely not out of step with today's heroes, but definitely not exactly the kind of hero we would get today.
Starting point is 00:13:09 say yeah no i think that it's different than some of the stuff we would get today for sure obviously this is the 80s so some opinions and and things are a little dated but it's funny that you bring up something like john wick because if i'm not mistaken i want to say there's like there's four lethal weapon movies right there's four of them so as far as i know and a tv series and a tv series a very loved very popular tv series that everybody watched um but But I know that there are more adventures to come with the rigs. So I feel like in some regard, maybe it's a little too early to tell to get the full scope of who this guy is. But as far as what was established in this movie, if we're saying that this is the pilot of the series of the lethal weapons, I feel like it did a good job of establishing him, establishing his humor, his skill, his sanity, and giving him a reason to fight.
Starting point is 00:14:06 And then not only having him say that, but showcasing that as well, I think they found a way to make him feel really rounded in that regard. And, yeah, if we're comparing it to, like, other buddy cop type situations, I feel like he stands as unique in that regard. You know, I feel like one that comes to mind is something like a men's bodyguard that I watch with Andrew here, like with Ryan Reynolds and Sam Jackson. And those two are definitely like sort of an odd couple as well. but you know it's a very different kind of thing and I feel like whatever was established here is something that is something only that that Mel Gibson can do yeah I feel like they they cast him for a reason so I feel like it's it's unique in that sense because there is this sort of rugged unhingedness to his performance and just like Mel Gibson has those wily
Starting point is 00:15:01 eyes and that's a rarer quality than you would see in today buddy cop duos or an action hero so yeah i would say for that alone uh yeah it's it's it's unique and it's refreshing in a weird way fellow rejects maybe you'll identify with what i'm about to say i've never had the healthiest relationship with money it's not because i'm a big spender or something like that i've just my entire life cared around this general anxiety around it a constant fear that i'm going to lose everything or when I don't have much I'm never going to gain anything because yeah like I'm a family fought about money all the freaking time and you know we lost our home to bankruptcy when I was like much younger and even though I'm a grown adult now I that fear has just never evaporated and
Starting point is 00:15:50 that is why with today's sponsor I signed up for them before they ever partner with us that is acorns I'm going to explain to you in the most simple way because it's simple to use acorns is an investing and savings app that makes your money grow in the background of your life. Like sometimes when my mind's just racing or I'm going down my little wormhole, sometimes I'm checking that app actually does bring some comfort. To start growing your money smarter, not harder. Thank you again. Considering that this is older. Well, yeah, and it's got too.
Starting point is 00:17:40 It's like there is the action hero aspect, but this is also like a crime movie. And I feel like there are additional layers of drama that we expect in mystery that that we expect from a crime movie in particular. And I like the, yeah, he's able to exist as part of this, again, growing little, you know, rapport that he has with Murta. but he's also kind of his own figure and we get to observe him in that way and it's kind of like it treats the circumstances of the characters very head-on and then it lets the comedy or the drama kind of come in and out you know around that yeah he's very much of his time it's weird
Starting point is 00:18:15 because as we're watching this i'm re-watching stranger things and there are elements of someone like a hopper that were i can you can tell that someone like hopper was inspired by rigs yeah uh which is you know pretty cool pretty cool but um yeah that's uh that's my answer sir. That's our feelings. Thanks, Maurice. Appreciate you for the question. Martin Marners is like an actual guy. Yeah. Shaden Rhodes. This movie and the second movie are some of my favorite action movies of all time. Very excited to hear that as we will probably move on to part two. Also, the chemistry between Mel Gibson and Danny Glover is amazing. But do y'all have a favorite buddy cop movie? Because
Starting point is 00:18:53 this one might be my favorite. Wow. I mean, we've both, well, I'm going to count it. I mean, I know we both love the nice guys. We do. And I would count that as some type of a buddy movie, buddy cop, buddy private investigators movie if you want to get a real technical guy. I love the Starsky and Hutch movie.
Starting point is 00:19:12 You know, watch that one. It's good. Greg and I'll never forget. We went to a screening. It was like opening night or something, and it was like way oversold. I might have even been like an early screening, one of those test screenings. And we had to sit on the floor at the Burbanked KFC because it was that overpacked.
Starting point is 00:19:28 And they were coming in and out trying to. to figure out and they were like, we're not going to figure out these seats and people were just going to sit on the ground who are overflowing. So is that popular? Yeah. That's crazy. In that early test screener or that opening weekend, whatever it was. And that movie is hilarious.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I would love to watch that. I think that movie is hilarious. I've not seen a ton of the original show. But yeah, that movie comes to mind in terms of comedy for sure. Hot Fuzz, I love. How Fuzz is a fun one. Which is riffing on this. I'm trying to think of like what would be one that is like.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Oh, rush hours. are great. I love the rush hours. The bad I like some of the bad boys movies. The bad boys are fun. I love the I had a great time with those. I was gonna say 21 Jump Street's great. You know, I know it's more leaning more in the comedy obviously. White chicks or training day. Not like the most fun movie necessarily, but definitely, uh, you know, a solid one. What?
Starting point is 00:20:22 In black counts, I'll take that. It's a buddy cop movie with Dan Ackroyd and Tom Hanks. I've never heard of that before. Oh, I guess, yeah, they made a movie out of Dragnet, the old show. Ooh, I would love to watch Osmosis Jones. I haven't seen it in so long. I remember where that movie is coming out. Does, oh, does point break count as a buddy cop? See, there's certain movies where I'm like, I know it's a cop movie.
Starting point is 00:20:42 It's like, you know, there's Beverly Hills cop, which we watched and really enjoyed. But this kind of Eddie Murphy doing his thing. He's got, he's got Judge Reinhold, kind of, but like, I guess I don't look at that as being as much of a buddy cop movie or like a kindergarten cop. I've Googled what's some of like the biggest, you know, just to kind of give you guys context. Stoke the fire because sometimes, you know, there are a lot of good things and you don't necessarily have them all like on the top of your head. Um, because yeah, like super cop. Jackie Chan's great.
Starting point is 00:21:12 But yeah, there are tons of good ones. Tons of good. Yeah. I'd have to say 20, the first 21 Jump Street is in mind. I would love to watch Miami Vice. The one from the early 2000s. Uh, 21 Jump She's really great. So is.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Oh, shoot. It was just on the list that you had open there. Oh, I'm sorry. It's okay. Pull it back. Roll it back real quick. Pull it back for the one time. Oh, rush hour is also really great.
Starting point is 00:21:37 A shower for sure. See, I say rush hour, the lethal weapon, because it's up there, nice guys. And I really like Game Man's Bodyguard 1. So I would say those are some of mine and bad boys. The bad boys are great for me as well. Oh, my God. I didn't even realize that the last Boy Scout would be. Bruce Willis and Damon Waynes.
Starting point is 00:22:00 What? Shit's crazy. What a combo. I guess one day we'll have to watch it. Fascinating. All right. Well, thank you for the question. Leave us your favorite buddy cop flicks down below.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Ooh. Okay. Cody Price has a fun one. Yeah. Hey, John and Aaron. Hey, Cody. If Leitha Weapon gets a reboot as a film franchise, who would you want to play Riggs and Mertah?
Starting point is 00:22:25 Okay. I'm thinking clean. Crawford and Damon Waynes, Jr. Who's Clayne Crawford? He's the guy who plays Riggs on the Lethal Epit TV show. Had all those controversies despite being, I guess, pretty all right on the show. This is such a tough one.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Because this is a thing we run into a lot. Like when you reboot or remake stuff, what is the thing that made the original so enchanting? Is it a world? Is it a concept? Or is it specific actors? is it some combination of both point break showed up on this list and i've often used that as my go-to example of like people love point break partly because of keanu reeves and patrick suezian
Starting point is 00:23:07 laurie petty gary busi like the cast is is a huge part of what makes point break along with some other motifs they remake point break a handful of years back and i'm like you know without those guys what is the real hook here yeah there's heists but with a slight extreme sports element didn't seem like it made a huge splash. So I feel like the tricky part with something like a lethal weapon is it's so heavily predicated on these two and their chemistry
Starting point is 00:23:35 and these guys, these actors, what they bring to the roles. I mean, there are so many buddy cop movies and not that this doesn't have its own unique motifs, but I almost feel like without Mel Gibson and Danny Glover,
Starting point is 00:23:50 it's kind of like you should just go do something else. But anyway, if we were going to cast it, Gerard Carmichael is Murtaugh They'd be very funny It'd be very funny And as Riggs I'm going with Gaten Matarazzo
Starting point is 00:24:07 From Stranger Things As Dustin He's got the big mullet now So that's what I'm going We're going to love that If you were going to be so happy Who would they do? Glenn Powell and somebody nowadays
Starting point is 00:24:18 Well I know that the next big Buddy Cop movie is going to be the Miami Vice reboot and they cast Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler as the two leads for that. Okay. I mean, I could see Austin Butler's look for a rigs. No, no, no, that's for, uh, I know. I'm just saying like, you know, he's a guy, I can see it.
Starting point is 00:24:41 I can see that for sure. I'm going to, uh, Evan Peters maybe is a rigs. Okay. He's not like built though. I don't know. I don't know. I don't feel as confident with like cast. questions. We're like leading men
Starting point is 00:24:56 today. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was time to think of like, who are like middle age black actors? And I'm like I feel like 50 now doesn't look like 50 then. No, no. It was like Jamie Fox, but I feel like he doesn't look 50. Yeah, would he be too old for this show? I was thinking like, well, Sterling
Starting point is 00:25:11 K. Brown, you know, has the shame black connection. Could he be too old for this shit? Living men 2025. Let's see. Who do we got here? Not Tim Cham. No. Jacob all Lordy no there's more leading actors in this
Starting point is 00:25:27 come on world's most popular male actors 2025 to 2027 Henry Cavill will be for rigs Tom Holland Dwayne Johnson is Mertau Will Smith Let's see let's see Nobody is exciting me on this list here
Starting point is 00:25:45 This would be really hard to cast Honestly because initially I was thinking like Leon out of Caprio for Riggs Could he be but he's like a little older now so maybe not i'm like yeah you need like best up-and-coming actors or something 2025 okay yeah that's probably better yeah let's see god that's that's so tricky coming actors yep i can spell all right no you're good you're good who breakthrough actors Harris dickinson that'll be funny um so dempson it just would be good
Starting point is 00:26:22 because that's the other tricky part is like I feel like they would want to get from L. Tillman in there as Murtae. That would be so funny. I feel like that's the tricky part now because you would want to cast a guy who's older than Riggs but who isn't that old so you could do a bunch of them. You know what?
Starting point is 00:26:38 I'm going to flip it because we're going to make in my version we're going to make rigs. We're going to do a race swap. Yeah, we do race swap. All right, cool. I'm with it. I'm with it actually. I'm going to cheat a little bit and so Mertal is going to be a white. dude and rigs going to be a black dude cool so merta's going to be
Starting point is 00:26:57 i was initially going to i was initially going to say brad pitt but he's too handsome so because i was going to say damson injuris and and brad pitt okay because that was f that was f1 i thought they they had good chemistry there okay but i do like i'm going to keep me damson injuris as riggs because i feel like you do a great job there i'm going to have to be tom cruise and will Smith. Tom, no, Tom Cruise is Murta
Starting point is 00:27:24 and rakes is Wilson. Okay. If he was a little younger, I'd say Walter Goggins is Riggs. Wals and Guggins could be a fun Riggs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I could say that for sure. This is such a, this is a fun brain teaser and yet so tough because that's the thing is, especially a Riggs you would need to cast like just right and you would have to have him be like a little bit unexpected or something. I don't know. It's so tricky. It's hard. I don't know. Leave us yours. Yeah, leave us yours. I've said mine.
Starting point is 00:27:59 You know what? Let's do a gender swap one now. Gender swap one. Oh, man. Kay Blanchett is Murta. No. Angela Bassett would have to be a Murta. Okay. Angela Bassett's Marta for sure. Riggs would be, God, who's a crazy actor? Who's an actress who got that crazy eye? Mine went to, what's her name? Jesse Buckley? Is that her name? That is an actress, for sure.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Yep. All right. All right. I'll take your word for it. I'm like, damn, who could be crazy right now? There's a lot of crazy people who can do it. Oh, boy. Well, leave us your castings down below.
Starting point is 00:28:35 There's so many actors to pick from guys. And as soon as the camera's cut, I don't have the perfect choices. Yeah, it's always how it goes. It's all good. It's okay. Thank you for sending them a question. Appreciate you, Coding. last question all right angela vance i love how the family took riggs in when he uh took riggs in then he
Starting point is 00:28:54 was part of the family because he had no family and he was a little crazy because they killed his wife would you make him part of your family i would shoot man if we went through what we went through together in this movie hell yeah i would yeah dude i love he's a good guy stand-up guy yeah i love the growth of their relationship i thought that was really fun because you know they have just the right amount of friction and they don't do too much of that and it's not like there's no back and forth but like once they start getting kind of on board with each other they're always like feeling each other out a little bit but you get these little emotional checkpoints where you're like I see it now that whole thing where he gets in the car and he says that you know like do you really
Starting point is 00:29:36 like my wife's cooking no and like that's a moment where it's like okay like we've gone a little bit further towards our trust and our honesty and our, you know, camaraderie as men. We're establishing our relationship. Yeah, from honesty and then through building up, having each other's back, showing up for one another. So yeah,
Starting point is 00:29:57 I would for sure let him in. Yeah, I think, because too, like, I don't know, I think that was really sweet the way he is with his, the way Riggs is with Murtaugh's family, like, even though there's that awkward thing, I was like, I think his daughter is definitely into you. That aside, like, you know, it seems capable of being, you know, like a sweet, fun uncle, a vuncular kind of character.
Starting point is 00:30:24 So, like, yeah, I thought that was a really fun, just, yeah, a very kind of wholesome, heartful detail that definitely, I think, is part of the key to making this movie as, you know, long enduring and, and, you know, the start of a franchise as it's been, you know, the fact that, yeah, you get. not only the buddy cop, but like, you know, they're bringing them into the family and there's something like at Christmas time,
Starting point is 00:30:48 you know, welcoming somebody in out of the cold. Like, it's a nice theme. Yeah. And, yeah, it suits the movie
Starting point is 00:30:53 and it also suits the characters. And yeah, I would like to think that, yeah, we would grow closer. And, uh, and yeah,
Starting point is 00:31:00 I would bring him in for dinner. Florence Pew. I was just gonna say. Flores Poole's freaking Pugh. She's rigs. And then Angela Bassett is Mertal. Let's go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Yeah. As soon as he. pause on them like, yep, that's it. All the bends. We're bending it every which way. And then we'll cast one where they're kids. We'll do it all. Hell yeah. We'll do it live. Do it live. All right. All right, you guys, that'll be here for us today. Let us know your pairings for a new rigs and Merton.
