Starting point is 00:01:05 Now, more on them after the reaction, peeps. Awesome. Amazing. Wow, man. That was so visceral and impactful and a fantastic alt-universe version of a Viking mutant world, the Wolverine and Magneto. And you just want to kind of see an interpretation of a whole bunch of that. And I've seen so many fan films in my life.
Starting point is 00:01:27 And normally you can kind of pick up on. things that are like okay this feels fan film this part feels fan film and i'd say like 99% of that just felt like i was watching an actual i haven't seen the show vikings but you know the clips i've seen of vikings made me feel like i was watching vikis with x-men with x-men involved yeah and i was really impressed with that personally and i think we all had like a great time because it elicit so many fantastic reactions of the berserker wolverine that we we got via like logan was the one time we started getting like that blood and gore but in terms of like martial arts
Starting point is 00:02:04 choreography oh my god that's got to be the best Wolverine choreography I've ever seen hands down a fan made film I know right and um like the costumes and stuff too were excellent and the effects
Starting point is 00:02:17 it makes me wonder how professional like this seems yeah pretty professional so part of me wonders like this is a fan made film or it's under parody law but I mean these are pretty much pro filmmakers by what they're calling card here demonstrates, especially in the techniques and stuff like that, and especially in that fight
Starting point is 00:02:33 the way they had to stitch those shots together. There's only like one hidden cut I could kind of pick out, and even that was really slick. Like, yeah, the formation and the assembly of this is impressive enough on its own. Plus, to have the tone and have
Starting point is 00:02:49 like, you know, again, a gripping it made me think of prey in a way where I'm like, man, there's so much you could do. Just changing up the time and place and what kind of cultural aesthetic you're going for and yeah this makes perfect sense for a wolverine yeah no it was it was really intense and i just loved the time period that he said in like an alternate universe i remember too like i know it's not the greatest film but uh wolverine origins uh that first film uh not the
Starting point is 00:03:16 first 10 15 minutes where we saw at the beginning you know like setting up yeah the montage sequences through the ages i loved all that and like this was a cool like glimpse into what could have possibly been. But again, I never once felt the entire time watching like you guys that this is a fan-made film. I was just so impressed with everything from the performance, the fight choreography. I'm so strict when it comes to fight choreography, too. I mean, there was wide shots, and it was tracking wide shots, too, and it was so well done as well. And how graphic and visceral was. I was just, oh, my God. I wonder, like, again, we got that, I feel like a lot in Logan, too. And I'm hoping we're going to get to
Starting point is 00:03:52 see that as well in Deadpool and Wolverine. But this was freaking impressive. like hats off. I don't know how he was able to achieve it. And even the shot, too, where he had Magneto, like, with the, uh, the blades and all that, like flying up, like, this is impressive. I can't even imagine how much that, this cost, but, uh, it was very effective. That was the fastest 11 minutes of my life watching something. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Yeah. And the music was incredibly cinematic too. Felt very tribal. And the gore really hit. Even though you could tell it it's, I'm a big fan of like, uh, we've all seen the boys. And the boys, they often do like gore like that. where it's very CGI heavy at times but it's still like disgusting to look at it unless it's a response and i love the gore here because it always packed a punch because there's such incredible sound
Starting point is 00:04:39 design and often in fan films like yeah he's a very professional filmmaker it's easy to hear fan film and sort of expect something and but this goes above such a standard and and the sound design here on all fronts was excellence to create something that felt a lot more immersive and I'm no like Norse Viking expert by any stretch but it did feel fairly authentic for what it was going for I bought the authenticity I'll say absolutely and the only time it felt a little modern day in the dialogue was with Magneto
Starting point is 00:05:10 that was the only time it started feeling like okay now now it's sounding a little bit more Hollywood where the rest of it prior to that was oh this feels like something I can never write Ask to pro and go. It's faster, bro. Ladies and gentlemen, I got so excited. They know I got excited when they wanted to partner up with us yet again. And let me tell you why. I see a couple months ago when we were first approached by them for our first sponsored agreement, I wanted to try them out before agreeing to do a sponsorship with them. Reason being is because I get terrible allergies. Roxy's dry whenever she shows up here usually points it out because she happens to catch me on the days of my allergies. are acting up. I heavily vouched to them,
Starting point is 00:07:23 Rejagnation. Give him a shot. Thank you. That's what I know. This is so impressive. Yeah, I also like how it kind of subverted our expectations a little in terms of, wait, is it the origins? Then that reveal shot, too, with you know, his claws coming up. That was freaking epic. Yeah, I was wondering, because part of me was like, bone claws would really fit this aesthetic actually quite well. And so, yeah, It begs the question, like, yeah, how did he get the, I'll call it anamantium? We don't know exactly, but how did he get the metal claw? Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Well, they'd still look, I mean, I think it's the aesthetically, you think it's bones, but I think they're like shrouded in blood so you think it's metal. Right. It looked pretty metallic. Yeah, that's what I mean, but he wouldn't have beat Magneto if it was. Yeah, well, I was going to say, I thought Magneto was going to control, but then he wasn't. I was like, okay, maybe it's not. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Or, or, I mean, I think in a fan film, you can. sometimes jump around those rules. Yeah, simply because of the unique fun of the idea and the strength of execution alone. It's like I feel like you can kind of get around some of those details if you want to because clearly this is
Starting point is 00:08:30 an else world or a you know, what if scenario. Yeah, yeah. I want to see it take place in that type of universe. That was awesome. That was an incredibly awesome fan film and congratulations. I know the day, when we were getting recommended, this there's only like 100,000 views that like it was like the day after and now the day of us
Starting point is 00:08:53 filming it's almost at a million views I can understand why we're gonna see word of mouth it's just a few days yeah this is getting recommended it's getting and I could see why we were getting harassed because it's a huge fan as someone who just came off x-man 97 as a big fan of x-men in general this was really quenched that thirst by a lot so thank you thank you thank you Thank you to the whole team who put this together.
