Roxy Striar, John Humphrey, & Jon Maturan react to Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), DreamWorks Animation’s colorful, fast-paced sci-fi comedy that pays loving tribute to classic monster movies while delivering big laughs and surprising heart. Directed by Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon, the film blends B-movie spectacle with family-friendly humor and blockbuster action. The story follows Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon – Legally Blonde, Big Little Lies), who is struck by a meteor on her wedding day and grows to 49 feet tall—earning the government-assigned name Ginormica. She’s quickly recruited into a secret military team of monsters that includes Dr. Cockroach Ph.D. (Hugh Laurie – House, Veep), B.O.B. (Seth Rogen – Superbad, Pineapple Express), The Missing Link (Will Arnett – Arrested Development, The Lego Movie), and Insectosaurus (Kiefer Sutherland – 24, The Lost Boys). Together, they’re tasked by General W.R. Monger (Kelsey Grammer – Frasier, X-Men: The Last Stand) with stopping the alien invader Gallaxhar (Rainn Wilson – The Office, Super). Packed with standout moments like Ginormica’s San Francisco rampage, B.O.B.’s indestructible antics, the monster team’s Tokyo showdown, and the climactic battle against Gallaxhar’s robot drone, Monsters vs. Aliens balances spectacle with themes of self-worth, independence, and embracing what makes you different. We break down the animation, performances, sci-fi references, and why this film remains a fun, underrated entry in DreamWorks’ animated lineup. This week's videos are sponsored by prize picks, the easy-to-use fantasy sports betting app.
More on them in just a bit.
I'm excited to find out what this is.
I've yacked at you guys enough.
We're good.
It's time for a movie.
Let's watch monsters and aliens.
This is going to be like a 12-year-old's dream.
Let's do it.
As I was saying, though, big ups to prepper.
Thank you for chopping down these highlights.
It must have been hard.
This is a pulpy movie for adults.
There's lots of content.
I like this, uh, this.
this animation they're throwing over the
freaky credits credits too it's like Austin powers
for some reason a little bit yeah it's got that 60s
kind of like it's just silhouettes and multiple you know mirrorings
and stuff it looks like they literally took scenes
and just like put them in a weird monochromatic filter
it's cool or it's the unfinished like a part of the layer
yeah like maybe it's one of the scopes or something like this is the light
values or I don't know anyway thanks
prepper
appreciate you guys
also if you want to get
the full length version
of this experience
if you want to see
everything that does not

roxy and terry you guys got your own sublabel over there look at that new jean nation let's go this one's sick it is sick it is can't tell me otherwise ring or tea is making a comeback dude we love a ring or tea in this house gang how we feel
feeling right now first impressions monsters monsters versus aliens
roxan i'm gonna throw to you first at the top of this it was looking like a tall order
looking like a challenge maybe how did we make it through how we feel in after the big game so i
feel like we were about 10 minutes in where when i decided that i was like this movie's gonna be okay
and then the movie was like no actually we're gonna have some really solid points and very cool
designs and you're going to really enjoy this movie.
Yeah.
For just behind the scenes for the audience, I'm very afraid of cockroaches.
Did I just have to watch another movie that heavily featured cockroaches?
Yes, I did.
Did I walk into studio today and say, thank goodness we're watching an animated movie because
if I see one cockroach, I will leave.
This was the convo just before we show.
This is a fascinatingly odd day.
This is like what Andrew and I shot John Q.
Oh, God.
And then John squared over here
Said to me, oh my God
The chances, it would never
It would never
And then what happens
But a cockroach
The second his antennae showed up
I was like, oh no
Yeah for real
No, I think this character's roach coded
I can't tell I was hoping
And he showed up and I was like
Wasn't the shaped like ones
Maybe we're safe
And they're calling this man
And like did we have to pause
And John had to say to me
Are you able to do this?
Yeah, we did so
I wanted to check
I know like this is really funny
But also I don't want you to be in distress
And I was like, I was crying.
I came in here unwell.
So, yeah, I feel like this was more of a whirlwind than somebody would have expected for this movie to be for me.
But I was really into it.
And I very much so like our main protagonist.
I feel like while this could have been corny, it wasn't.
I think we were all along for her ride of self-discovery.
And I think it's something that everybody can relate to, right?
Where you're like, okay, this is life I'm living.
This is where I'm comfortable.
So I'm just going to make it work.
Yeah.
And then something happens in your life where you're like, wait, is there better?
Is there more?
Can I be the best me by staying where I was?
And the answers usually no.
And so I did really enjoy that.
Also, the life is the friends you make along the way and how those friends are and not just staying comfortable.
So for all those reasons, I think this is a really great message for kids.
And there was a lot of stuff for the adults, too.
Oh, yeah.
So I could have left the roach aside.
Bob's the best character
I was going to say though
Of all the on-screen roaches
Did the doctor here do anything
To be an ambassador for the species?
I'm not ready to answer that question
I'm not ready to answer it
I mean
Can we at least agree that spending
You know a tight 90 with
Dr. C
I really want to shorten it
But I can't without it
But counteracting all of my efforts
Anyway
Doctor
We spent a tight 90 with Doc C.
And we can agree that at least for that 90 minutes,
you probably didn't want to die as much as you would want to
if there was any other equivalent creature.
I plead the fifth.
All right, fine.
Anyway, John, LJ.
How you doing?
Oh, man, I enjoyed myself.
It was fun.
Not to Roxy's expense.
That sucks.
I mean, it was crazy.
That was crazy.
That was a bonkers.
Yeah.
Like the likelihood?
universal
I have to let them in on it
because it's like,
what?
Yeah.
Anyway.
No, yeah.
I echo
Roxy sentiment.
It was fun,
but also like
the self-discovery stuff
is cool.
There's a lot of adult humor
that's really like
subtextual,
which I really appreciate.
I didn't expect that
from this movie.
Great voice acting.
A lot of like these cameos.
Little random like,
for whatever reason,
because this came out in 2009.
I don't know why,
but when I was thinking like,
Paul,
Rudd voicing Derek.
I was like, was this before after I love you man?
I don't know why I kept thinking that.
Around that time, right?
Yeah, it should have been.
We were obsessed with I love you made that.
I have a device that will tell us.
Oh yeah.
You have future tech.
Definitely a fun watch.
I would show this to like my nieces and my goddaughter.
But like, again, like there's some adult humor subcontext that I'm like, wow,
someone like our age could appreciate, but I just, I don't know.
They're the same.
year, both 2009, so I don't know which one he filmed first, right?
Yeah, otherwise, fun, yeah.
I'm curious if there was a sequel that had been dope because they kind of led to.
Yeah, I haven't watched a lot of DreamWorks animation movies, like, now that I think about it,
but this is quite like a cool surprise.
So how about you, John?
Yeah, I was very pleasantly sprawl.
Like, I vaguely remember this coming out, and I feel like at the time I probably just would have generally been kind of disinterested.
I remember back in the day being sort of cynical.
toward the DreamWorks side of the spectrum,
and especially the way they would advertise a lot of this stuff,
you know,
would kind of present in a way that to me was a bit obnoxious
and then coming back and seeing more of them
in these recent years for the channel and stuff like that.
I've found more enjoyment than expected in many of them
based off of just those old impressions from the advertising, yada, yada, yada.
So this was actually, yeah, really fun.
And two, in a post-dark universe world,
I was like, granted, this isn't going for the same type of movie or demo as that.
But I was like, this is a cool way to do a monster team up or these are clearly based on a lot of classic movie monsters.
And that appeals to me because I love monster movies.
So bringing that all together.
No vampires for us.
No vampires for us.
And I mean, Link was lamenting no werewolf either.
You know, like this is the thing.
It's like I would love a sequel with different monsters incorporated.
I'm sorry, guys.
I just love that.
There was no second ones and no plans for a second one.
I'm sad about that.
I know me too.
Because like, yeah, the voice ensemble was very fun and charming.
And yeah, when the movie started, I was sort of like, okay, like it feels a little
rudimentary or a little basic maybe animation-wise at the start.
But as I got further into it, and it's something I wasn't heavily holding against the movie
because obviously, you know, this was made a while ago.
Sure, yeah.
But then as the movie went on, I found.
myself looking at things and getting engrossed by certain textures and being really
wowed by certain images and I think that yeah even though it doesn't look quite as photo real as a
lot of stuff can now even in a cartoon animation style this had a lot of punch and a lot of cool like
camera choices and a lot of fun cheeky details and yeah this is like was madcap and it just kind of
hit the ground running in a way that felt like like I like the Pixar tradition of animation where
it's touching and poignant and stuff but I also do
appreciate like a madcap cartoon tradition and this you know certainly brings in a lot of that and to
your point i thought yeah like this had a sort of message without beating you around the head and neck
with it and you know you have a female protagonist who does kind of come into her own and discover
herself and learn to shed some of the weight that's holding her down in her life but it's not going
like it's not being cloyingly like girl power you know like there's one scene where they're like
oh you're bummed out you got you know showed up by a girl but
The rest of the time is that I like that they just drew her as a character.
It seemed like the answer is no, that's not a bummed me out.
I'm bummed out that I didn't do a good job.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I like, yeah, girls stink.
I'm embarrassed.
Yeah.
They never make a thing out of it.
It's just like the little group of them together aside from that moment, which again,
I think I would agree that that's kind of how they clarify that.
It almost never becomes an issue or a thing they point at.
Yeah.
It's just the thing that you can take notice of and it's cool.
And so it's like, yeah, you get to have that, like, I'm sure, you know, if you're a little girl or something who likes monsters and sci-fi a little bit too, and you have a movie like, freaking awesome. But if you're a little boy who's watching this movie, I can't imagine you would be like, I can't relate to this girl. And yeah, what she's going through is like a pretty universal thing anyway. So, yeah, this is kind of cool. It was like it was unencumbered by like if they tried to make this now, I feel like maybe some of those aspects might have been more in your face and a little more.
trite.
Maybe.
Video nodes say hit this point harder.
Yeah.
And I feel like they hit it in just enough of a way where you're like, oh, cool.
Like, this is just an extra thing about this movie that I wasn't expecting and I think is nice.
And just the way they do her whole conversation around Derek.
Yes.
This is really nicely handled.
It's not too overwrought.
And, yeah, like the different personalities on display for the most part, very charming.
And, yeah, even though there are times where the voice acting, I was like, this is kind of,
Cooky. It suits what this is.
You know, this had a lot of fun imagination.
And, yeah, I like...
With Reese Witherspoon voicing it, I was like,
this is kind of legally blonde
without, like, Derek being the reason
why she turns into a...
You know, like...
I understand what you're saying.
Her character arc of where she starts
versus where she ends and, like, having to believe in herself
and prove herself to herself.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm also the Derek aspect, the relationship stuff.
I definitely see what you're saying there.
No bend and snap.
but listen
I mean this movie has some innuendos man
I do appreciate
like as much as it's easy to sit here
and and I guess there's always
a debate to be had about like how much is too much
but I did appreciate that like yeah
they definitely put some stuff in here for the parents
or for the people who are in here
just because they like monster movies or whatever
I thought the president like the whole
war monger general guy
all those things were like really funny
and the fact that he like goes and plays this weird music
Like as like, Beverly Hills cop reference.
Beverly Hills Cop in there.
Yeah.
And yeah, like there was enough like wacky satire, but in a very broad sense.
It's like it's not like a super deep deconstruction.
But at the same time, yeah, this is doing way more stuff and having a lot more fun and
and paste a lot more breezily maybe than I had initially expected.
I was never annoyed.
This only drew me in further.
Like I had a really good time.
I'm with you for sure.
Well, gang, we got some questions from our patrons.
Thank you guys for chiming in for guiding our.
conversation here. Let's start with Zayden.
As you guys will probably pick up
on, but this movie
is full of 1950s references to classic monster movies
like Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and the
creature from the Black Lagoon. You don't say.
Do you have a favorite monster slash
reference? Love and adore you guys.
Thank you for being you
and doing what you do.
My favorite reference
was the ET reference.
The music coming in too, just because I
love that movie and my favorite monster is Bob which I would be shocked if he's not all of our
favorite monster Bob was best yeah Bob's the man and slash like when I say the man also the woman
I don't actually know because Bob was a tomato Bob's the day we don't know Bob might be a queer
icon honestly based on Bob's love for Derek like I I don't know what Bob yeah that's true but
really into Bob well I love the Derek got a double dose of that yeah yeah oh my goodness
there were probably other monster references you know there was there they mentioned
destroy all monsters.
There was close encounters,
which I need to see.
This is just another reminder
that I need to see
close encounters the third kind.
Yeah, yeah.
Sounds like a little reaction duo.
It's a date.
I just really like the sequence
where they're explaining them all
and you get that little montage
of like, okay, yeah,
the...
These are the origins.
This guy has a Godzilla origin
and there's the fly origin
for Dr. C.
And there's the...
I really like the context
of the blob.
That was very fun.
Yeah, yeah.
Um, golly.
I really like the texture, too.
Just the visual texture.
Yeah, definitely.
It's hard to choose.
I think it was cool that they went with 50-foot woman for the lead, partly because, like, a very prominent monster movie, but not necessarily one that gets corralled in with, like, Frankenstein, Dracula, the mummy.
Right.
It's also easier, unfortunately, unfortunately, but, like, to have a protagonist who still looks like a pretty woman.
Like, she, you know, like, we weren't, like, trying to convince people.
no, this person who's still in love with her ex,
he should still be in love.
Like, if she had turned into a blob,
we might be more understanding of what,
like, him maybe not wanting to be with her.
The age old question that women ask,
if I was a worm, would you still love me?
You know, like, it's why people ask.
I have a lot of worms in my life.
I think the answer should,
I've got worms, a dumb, dumber reference.
I think that the answer should be, yes,
you should still love her if she's a worm,
but I'm just saying the fact that she was still a hot chick
definitely confirms that you're,
the douche.
I also like that,
I don't know if this is intentional,
but because the alien is a squid,
it's like vaguely love craftian
if you want to squint your eyes and see
it that way.
So, uh, golly.
Yeah.
There are a lot of great monsters and references, though.
I would love to hear your guys' favorites.
All right, rejects.
The big game is almost here.
And for us, a real rejects.
The Super Bowl is practically a holiday.
You heard that right.
Every year we've got the game on the TV.
friends around and we're locked in.
Because you know, we got all those trailers that we've got to cover, but we're also watching
the game.
And that's why something like Price Picks fits perfectly into our Super Bowl tradition.
And Price Picks is America's number one fantasy daily sports app.
And it's the easiest way to make watching the game even more fun, especially if you're
like me, not a hardcore sports expert.
So it's great for newbies like myself, but it's also great for people who are aware of sports,
probably even better.
Now, me wife, she loves fantasy sports apps.
She plays a lot with her friends, some prize picks is great.
Me, on the other hand, I'm not some.
stats wizard. But price picks makes it ridiculously easy for me to jump in and act like I know what I'm
doing. You open the app, pick a sport, choose players, and decide if they'll get more or less on their
projected stats. No drafts, no season-long commitments, just making lineups for the game. I also love
the community features. You can share lineups follow winners or copy lineups with one click. And with
early payouts, if your player starts hot, you can cash out early. So if you're already watching the

It's good to be right.
All right.
Who wants to read from Juvene?
Hoovean.
Yeah, I was going to say Hoovian, but I'm just adding my own little whoville twist to it.
What was your guys the absolute favorite part of this movie?
much love from Finland
Oh, Finland.
Dude, love to Finland.
Thanks for tuning in
and joining us at the Patreon.
Big J.
Favorite part?
Yeah, what do you got?
Oh my God.
I didn't even let you think about it.
I came to you first.
That's wicked hat.
I mean, I actually thought,
it's wicked hat.
Thank you for making me feel at home.
The whole time.
I mean, the bridge sequence was really,
this weirdly the first thing that comes to mind.
I think the bridge sequence is really fun.
And it's a cool opportunity to see them all
in the fight,
but also it's one of the first scenes
where Susan really
starts to make the turn from like,
I'm completely overwhelmed to like,
oh, I can do this.
And that was also like a cool moment of
again, in a movie where I'm not expect,
in a movie this more overtly cartoon,
I thought there were some really cool physics
and some really cool ways of capturing that scene.
I'm sure something else will come to mind,
but I thought that was really fun.
Well, Jay?
I, uh,
actually referencing to the first question,
I think my favorite part was when
insecto whatever became a butterfly
and came to the rescue.
You called that.
Yeah, yeah.
So, I mean, just like...
We love Mothra.
Because I felt bad.
It's like a baby.
And so for it to die first,
I was like, damn, they went there.
They really killed the infant on the team.
But otherwise, yeah, the cool hero moment.
Hey, all hope is lost.
And then, boom, we got the baby to save us all.
That's cool.
So how are you, Roxy?
My favorite moment is actually moments.
but the running gag of Bob thinking other people's accomplishments
or life things are his own,
which I actually think is a deeper concept
than we're even giving this movie credit for
because, like, our friend's successes
should feel like our successes
and our loved ones' issues should feel,
like we should feel that connected to our people
for their wins or their wins,
their losses are our losses.
And the fact that he literally could not differentiate
what was happening to him versus his best friends,
I think is really a beautiful thing.
Yeah, it's kind of sweet.
Yeah, and even at the end, and it's also funny even at the end where he's like that two-timing.
You literally do not, because you lack a brain, but you're all heart and flub.
Like, you really think, you feel what they feel.
I just think that's, that was really cool.
Hondo P.
I also really like the intercutting of them at the party and her having that conversation with Bob,
uh, bounce lit by the station, like big white letters.
Yeah.
There are a lot of really good moments, though.
Definitely.
Hell yeah.
All right, L.J. read from Alex Hudson.
Alex Hudson asks which monster, if you had to choose, would you want to turn into?
Oh, man, that's a rough one.
If you guys say it, then your ex-nade.
I'm not going to say it.
I would never wish to turn into that.
I don't like Kafka that much.
Don't even do it to me.
I'm never hosting with either of you ever again.
So the first question, I do, I know we've said it, I do love the mothra of it all.
Yeah. What would I want to turn into?
I mean, like, I...
All the ones in this or of all the monsters in the world?
I'll allow one of each.
So I'll say, because like auxiliary, I would probably go like a werewolf or something.
Oh, you, you mother.
Okay.
You could be a werewolf.
I'm a vamp forever, you know.
There you go.
I want to live forever, desperately.
I wouldn't mind sucking blood.
That's okay by me.
Sure.
I feel like I've got a good self or something.
I do a lot of good with that.
But in this, I do think that it would probably be the 50-foot woman because I think it would nice to still have an awareness of my body that was not jello or a roach.
Yeah, I think that that would be a lot to handle.
Like, just bigger proportions I think I could deal with well.
Right.
I was going to say, I love Sasquatch, but I don't think I would want to be one.
one.
It doesn't seem very pleasant to be one.
Of these movies characters, I guess I would choose either Link, because who doesn't
love a Gilman or Bob?
Honestly, like, even though I do like having limbs and like a defined set of, you know,
bodily structures, I do kind of love looking at Bob and the bright side, but I also like
looking at Bob and I kind of want to touch them.
and like if I got to be that gelatinous thing,
I don't know.
I think that would be complimentary to my vibes.
Right.
So I'd try that.
But leave us your monsters.
Yeah.
And any other cryptids you might want to turn into.
But what's your,
so your answer is a werewolf,
but then what's your other answer?
Yeah, what's your answer from the movie?
From the movie?
This sounds really like sad.
I don't want to hear it.
What?
Are you about to roach me?
No, no, no, no, no.
How could be sad, was he about to?
say um the invisible man because i don't want to be seen oh you want you want to be dead for 25
years yeah because that you want to be dead for 25 years john no i just rolled my eyes so heavy at you
and i need you to know that because you can't see that i don't do things behind people's backs
oh i don't like that i don't like your response yeah why because you're dead in a corner on a chair
no not i mean like i guess the actual power of the person not necessarily the what happens to the
visible forever.
Yeah.
If I was invisible.
There you go.
Clay can reference.
Dude.
I think,
yeah,
there's something sad
about that answer.
Hey man,
invisibility is a great power.
You're like,
I want to be the one
who's always happy
and thinks that
the day tomorrow
is going to be amazing
even more about to die.
He's like,
yeah,
but what if we were
invisible instead
and no one could
ever see us again?
What if nobody
realized we were dead
for 25 minutes?
The difference between
Big John and little John,
very.
Karen on this stage.
Okay.
Just for today, I guess.
Okay.
Don't worry.
Everyone in the comments is going to flock to you and be like,
No, John, we'd like to see you.
A very strange job you've picked here as somebody who wants to be in.
Not seen.
That's okay.
I support this message.
Anyway.
Anyway, leave us your thoughts as to why monsters from the movie or otherwise you would
want to turn into.
Nick at night.
The place for TV hits.
Hey, Reject.
I was just wondering if you guys could switch any of the monsters on the team with a different monster movie or myth.
Who would they be and why?
God, there's so many good choices for this.
Jeepers.
Cheapers, creepers.
You could get the creepers.
I'd get linked to be replaced by a wolfman.
Because kind of the same character, to a certain degree, right?
I mean, I feel like in solidarity with Roxy, as much as I like Hugh Lorry, we kind of always have.
to swap the doc.
I should have said that.
Thank you so much.
So then we can swap them
for any other doctor, right?
Dr. Jackal,
Dr. Frankenstein.
Yeah, yeah.
Thank you for understanding my plate.
Yeah.
Of course, Dr. Zeyas.
We could get like Planet of the Apes in here.
Honestly, do whatever you want.
Just swap them out.
Any monster.
What about we could get a moth man.
We get a saskatch.
I mean, I got to get a saskwatch.
Or a yeti, I think.
Or a vampire?
A vampire would be sick.
although I guess
it would be an interesting cell
in this universe to be like how could you
have a vampire who also
like does this suicide squad
kind of like we're in prison and stuff
but I'm still like I have an applicable doing
good power right you know
versus I guess you could fly people places
maybe if you're that kind of vampire
I think we should bring in the invisible woman so we can finally
remove the invisible man's corpse
from the invisible woman definitely
needs to jump in there
there you go
my god he looks
Looks awful.
She's the only one who comes in is like, why won't anyone do something?
He's decaying over here.
What's wrong with you?
What was that smell?
Anyone smells that?
We could get pumpkin head in here from the film pumpkin head.
I mean deep.
You're going deep.
Headless scarecrow.
Headless horseman would be sick.
See, I think these monsters are well.
That speedster would be helpful for us in these scenarios.
Speedster.
I was going to say, what's the fastest cryptic?
We could get a chupacabra in as the cute non-speaking character.
Let's just flip to a random page of zombies Christmas Carol.
This one.
A ghost.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, we should have a ghost character.
We should have Scrooge in there.
Yeah, we can have a friendly ghost.
Is that a monster?
Or an angry ghost.
Okay.
Casper, I don't know.
If a cockroach is a monster, then a ghost is a monster.
A ghost.
I guess it would also be a monster.
Good point.
Anyway, what special creatures would you bring into the mix?
Leave it in the comments below.
One more we got Roxanne Reed from our friend Jay Rushden.
Thank you, Jay Rushden.
Question, would you like to be 50 foot very tall?
Not just 50 feet tall.
Very tall, yeah, yeah.
It is very tall.
It's very true.
It's wicked tall.
All right.
A little John?
that would be difficult if yeah that it seems like a tough life but i'd probably be like
clifford the big red dog i'd be like you want to be cute and like oh i'm clumsy
like i like i want to know what the opposite of invisible is i know i know 50 feet tall i do think
it's an interesting question though jay because as opposed to what right as opposed to being me
or as opposed to being a blob like oh
Yeah, exactly.
I don't know what we're...
Relative to...
If given the choice today, they were like, rocks,
special program, we're going to make you 50 feet tall.
Do you sign up for it?
I think no, because you want to know what would be really hard to do
as a 50-foot-tall woman, be in the same shot as somebody else,
which is my ultimate dream.
So I definitely couldn't host with you guys unless we got a whole new studio.
Giant reacts.
Yeah, that'd be actually pretty cool.
And every reaction is filmed at a movie theater.
Oh.
My question to you is, would I be more famous?
It's all I care about.
You definitely would be more famed.
People would not be able to stop paying attention to you.
Would I be able to maintain that fame and really use it for good?
That's the problem is if anybody else becomes a giant too, you know, at a certain...
Because I imagine there would be a character arc where at first you're like, man, I'm the only giant.
This kind of sucks.
I want more giants.
And then maybe you do get some more giants going on.
And then you're like, oh, cool.
People I can identify with, people who can identify with, people who can.
hang out with me and understand my walk of life.
But then maybe there are too many. And then you're like, oh, shit, all these giants steal
my thunder.
You're right.
Now I was the first giant.
Now people don't care so much because they're all these new giants.
Yeah, but everybody always cares about the first.
That's true.
You would be the OG.
Am I the first or am I not?
Yeah.
But I would, I don't want to be 50 feet tall, but I would rather be 50 feet tall than be
Jello.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
And that's why I stand on that.
I can get on board with that.
I guess like, would I like to be 50 foot very tall?
I mean, not not just by default.
but I would be curious to experience it.
I don't know if I had to be that way forever, I guess.
For a day.
For a day, yeah.
I'm like, let's go.
Let's go.
Because think of it.
You make traveling logistically hard because you'd have to not step on anything,
but logistically easier because of how much ground you could go over.
Could you, just because science and math, not my strong suit, that's why I'm in the entertainment industry.
How long would it take me to walk to Boston?
How tall are you?
50 foot tall.
Oh, that's right.
No.
Good question.
Sorry,
50 foot very tall.
How long would it take?
John, thank you for doing the Lord's work right now.
From Los Angeles to Boston.
If.
If.
Hold on, hold on.
We're going to.
Okay.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, to walk on your feet.
On foot.
Walking from.
Three to 12 months.
Okay.
Depending on your pace.
and root around 3,000 miles.
Hold on.
All right.
Possible.
Okay.
Okay.
Now, uh, let's go.
Just add on your feet.
If you were 50 feet tall.
If you were 50 feet tall.
Very tall.
Okay.
While your 50 foot strike covers ground fast, you're navigating objects.
Two to five months.
Uh, finding rest.
Oh, now getting objects is interesting.
Several weeks to a couple of months.
Because they're thinking that I care about not going through buildings.
things, which I guess.
Well, because how would you, I'm trying to contextualize, I'm trying to contextualize 50 feet in my
mind.
Yeah, same here.
Like, there's some sort of math formula that could figure this out.
I know that for, hold on, let me think.
Because like 50 feet is pretty tall.
Tell us in the comments.
What route should I take tell us in the comments?
It's the proportionality of the thing that's hard to pin down because you're like, 50 feet
is taller than you'd probably think, but not so tall that you could like get across the
world in a day.
Yes, yes, definitely.
Yeah, you're not a skyscraper.
So, yeah.
You got a long walk ahead of you either way.
It's 10 times taller than I am now.
Yeah.
So theoretically it'd be 10 times faster, but all the things.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's a good point.
10 times faster, give or give her take for, yeah, obstacles.
Well, gang, listen, do you want to be 50 feet very tall?
Let me know in the comments below.
Let us know what your favorite monsters are, which your favorite moments from this
movie are and how?
sad on a scale from one to invisible man about the fact that there's not a sequel yet to this movie.
I think it's a travesty.
This was a lovely surprise.
I love surprises when we sit down here.
Anyway, stay Bob and we'll catch you on the next one.
Stay Bob's, man.
Monsters out.
