With James Gunn's Superman out on VOD + Details coming in about Man of Tomorrow, Lanterns, & Supergirl, Greg, Roxy, & John are BACK for another Peacemaker Season 2 Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review! Greg Alba, Roxy Striar, and John Humphrey dive into Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 5 (“Back to the Suture”), the wild HBO & DCU series from writer/director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad). The show stars John Cena (WWE, Fast & Furious 9) as Christopher Smith / Peacemaker, the over-the-top antihero torn between his brutal upbringing and his growing sense of morality. In this episode, Peacemaker and his team uncover shocking new layers to the conspiracy threatening humanity, while his strained relationship with Vigilante and Leota Adebayo comes to a breaking point. Danielle Brooks (Orange Is the New Black) shines as Leota Adebayo, whose loyalty is tested in unexpected ways. Freddie Stroma (Bridgerton) delivers laughs and chaos as Adrian Chase / Vigilante, while Jennifer Holland (American Horror Story) as Emilia Harcourt and Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) as John Economos navigate high-stakes tension inside the team. The episode also teases emotional flashbacks for Peacemaker, expanding on his connection to his late father Auggie Smith, played by Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files). With violent action, dark humor, and heartfelt character drama, Back to the Suture continues Season 2’s balance of raunchy comedy and superhero spectacle. Fans will be buzzing about the jaw-dropping cliffhanger and the deeper ties this season is forging to the larger DCU. The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is an eight-episode episode Hulu original limited series that blends gripping pacing with emotional complexity, offering a dramatized look as it revisits the wrongful conviction of Amanda Knox for the tragic murder of Meredith Kircher and the relentless media storm that followed.
The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is now streaming only on Disney Plus.
It started with a scream inside a quiet Maryland home, a mother trying to protect the family dog and her son in the grip of a violent hallucinogenic rage.
By the time it was over, she was dead, and he claimed LSD made him do it.
His name, David Minor the 4th, and we talked to him.

More on them in just a bit.
Fun fact about me before we start,
I've never been at temperature,
happy with my temperature in my life.
Never one time.
Never been happy about it.
Shall we get into Peacemaker Five?
Let's do it.
Okay, here we go.
others goodbye i know you won't agree with what i'm doing but i feel like it's the right thing
oh i'm not sure redemption is something that's truly possible that sucks i'm going to make a life
in the other world wow i'm going to be a brother my brother and i'm going to tell amelia yes wow
and overcome my trauma and be the good man there that i was never able to be here i don't i just
don't know even hardcore after all that fuck the cunty bullshit she did i think that if you and
Park Lord of Economos turn this alien dimensional canister thing over to Argus.
Damn.
We look out for the team.
Oh, that's he crying.
Oh, happy.
I'm not going to be happy without you, dog.
Epic needle drop.
Can't give it to them.
Oh, it wasn't a Batman shirt.
That's the shirt she wears in the opening.
Is it true you knocked out Chris and turned him into Argus?
Explain yourself.
He was about to get shot in the head by a PMSing cyborg, and the only way I could save his life was by
taking him down.
What?
And I tried to tell him not to come at all.
You just who I think you are, girl.
And that's a good thing.
Aw.
You saw Chris use this thing?
The glass teeth in the right formation in a doorway.
And you pull those switches, and you got yourself a connection.
Cool.
Come on.
Where are you going?
Find a door.
Well, we can't use it here. Argus will find it.
Use it? Why are we going to use it?
You know why.
Because we're going to get Chris back.
Yes, you are.
Maybe I can meet another being there.
Please.
I want you to be best friends with yourself.
Oops, all vigilante episode.
There goes the most graceful man.
It is the Kaiju.
Top trio.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, Amelia.
But that's not who you're in love with.
I think all it matters to him is he's loved.
I know, but it's not real, Greg.
These episodes are too short, dog.
I know.
What do you think the post credit's going to be?
John Guess.
Something from the judo master, Tim Meadows,
seen where they're talking to each other back and forth.
I'm hoping it's something to do with the prostitution.
That could be it, yeah.
Fingers crossed.
One of them, too, for sure.
Follow-up phone call.
So, did you mean?
Or what if it's the first actual post-credit scene?
Possible.
With some real stakes.
You know, Manta ray drives from the Latin for Pancake of the Sea.
That's where we get the phrase, a Manta ray never forgets.
How many Mantares does it take for you to shut the fuck up?
Is it a murder of mantras?
Are they even called a murder?
No, it's a school.
Someone shoot me in the ass.
Oh, is that?
Did you?
No.
A Greek?
Damn.
So you guys were right circa last week, or the week before, one of those.
But what?
There was one where you guys were heavily theorizing that would be the spider facts.
Oh.
Right guess, wrong episode.
Antifax instead.
Citizens Reject Nation, thanks for watching.
Peacemaker.
episode five with us if you are here if you're listening on apple spotify five stars if you're on
youtube a thumbs up shout out to prepper for helping edit this down shows like this can be very
difficult to edit down you know with all the wordies and whatnot so thank you guys for helping
us out man guys like oh okay john i'm gonna come to you first on this one i know it oh is that
me sitting on a remote no you do is that me that's just excesses happening on screen i thought that it was my
I thought that was my butt.
John, took you a second to get into this season.
You still liked it, but it took you a minute.
Now that we're on episode five,
and we know that the press isn't getting any episode six, seven, eight for a while.
How are you feeling about where we're at more than halfway through the season?
I'm really enthralled.
I'm really engrossed.
I really liked this episode.
And even though the first couple didn't have that sort of like,
wah, you know, here's the kickoff, like that big sort of punctual kickoff feeling.
punctuated kickoff feeling. I really liked the progress that they've made of this season so far.
And I think by contrast to the first that has this, you know, big sci-fi, you know,
the whole thing with the butterflies is a different dynamic entirely from what we're doing here.
And I like that what we're doing here is very much centered around just, yeah, the journey of the 11th Street kids.
And obviously Chris at the center of all that, but just, yeah, the desperate struggle to,
to clean up the mess and find a way for them all to sort of coexist in some kind of harmonious fashion
and get back to doing what they do best. I think it's just a really nice direction for this to have headed in.
And I'm really enjoying the drama still. And this, you know, cliffhanger has me really, really, you know, anxious to get to what's next.
So, so yeah, this is just continued on an upward, you know, trajectory for me.
Greg, Eagley's alive. Are you disappointed?
Of course not.
of course not because i'm pretty sure to start the episode you said that you were excited about
his passing yeah i was just blocking how i felt you know i would hate the animal die i don't even
like watching a fox die i'm a big fan of animal deaths on screen it really bothers me um so yeah
i was pretty happy that eagerly got to live and eagerly got to get even upgraded into something
a little bit more special which does kind of explain a bit of the uh super being side to the eagle you know
in a great way.
I just thought that was so cool.
Murdering Michael Rooker.
You know Michael Rooker hunts squirrels?
In real life.
How'd you find that out?
James Duns pulled everyone.
Oh.
Yep.
I hate that.
I really don't like that.
Listen, some squirrels really piss me off,
but I don't know about the hunting.
I ain't my jam.
They've torn apart your outdoor space multiple times.
Oh, shit.
I love them.
It's outdoors.
Out of shit.
Feed them every day.
Anyway, yeah, I'm happy,
Eagley, got to live.
I mean, so far the way
how a lot of the season
has sort of played out,
there's been some surprises here and there.
It's kind of followed a trajectory
that has been,
the right word's not predictable
because like the unpredictable stuff
is more in the details of things.
And I've really enjoyed it.
I'm really excited, though,
for what they're going to be doing next,
whatever the hell that is,
because there's something to this,
other world that there's no way it's all freaking like roses and shit there's i feel like there's
something with that trio that is not what it's made out to be like i just don't feel like they're
all super heroic that's my inclination at least i think that's fair i mean we've identified the dad
as a racist and we've barely spent time with the guy and so yeah yeah i hear you on that i think
your uh spidey senses are going up at the right moment yeah yeah and i think we'll find i think
what you were talking about with uh reserving out of bio a little bit in this season
and then much more reserving Adrian much more this season as well.
I think they've been waiting to utilize that for the multiversal side of it all.
And we got a lot of setups.
We got Cyborg, who's up to some shenanigans.
We saw on Creature Commandos that Rick Flagg likes to have some fun.
And we didn't see how that progresses.
We didn't see how that progresses.
How are you feeling?
Is it, is it?
love this season stronger i love the season you know what i'm happy about too is like this did kind
of subvert my expectations in terms of when we saw the flashback to don't call me sir rick flag and
heart court where she she was talking about i'm going to avenge uh ricky no matter what you guys
heard me be like is it possible that she has been playing us and i wouldn't have wanted to see that
because while it would be kind of an interesting bait and switch,
I wouldn't have wanted to see it because we have all versions.
We have all different dimensions.
So we can see different versions of her that have made certain decisions.
It doesn't have to be our person.
And when we already are having multiple people play multiple different characters
because of the pocket universes and all dimensions and whatnot,
I don't really want it to be that our characters aren't who we thought that they were in our universe.
So I really like at the end when ads is like, girl, you're exactly who I thought you were.
Yeah.
Because it really, this show, it doesn't pull its punches.
So I believe that they could go that direction.
I'm glad they chose not to.
And I think that they just continue to make really smart choices.
I love shows that give us what we want to see.
And don't just give us things for shock value or for twist and turn's sake.
And I think that this show really continues to dive in, as I've spoken about for the last three weeks.
nature versus nurture and we're going to continue to do that as we get to know the amelia in the other universe uh the dad and the brother in the other universe why are you the way that you are and would life really actually be better if you weren't living your own life or is it a grass is greener situation so i love all the things that they've set up i think that we found a good balance of our jokes to non joke ratio as well which i know like guns thing is putting in bit after joke after joke but like so i
I like the humorous nature of the show,
but it's also very serious show
that really causes you to kind of question things
and think about what is good, what is bad,
what is right, what is wrong.
I don't find a character on the show
to be somebody that I can't relate to at all.
Like, even Rick Flagg, Sr.,
I totally get where he's coming from.
Like, even as he's beating the living crap out of Chris
and you can't stand him,
I'm like, it was his son.
Yeah.
He respects his long game.
Right, totally.
So for all the reasons, I just think that they've made really smart choices.
And, yeah, I'm excited to have gotten a little bit more Adrian and ads.
And just knowing that probably the back half of the season is going to be them venturing to find Chris.
That's an exciting prospect for me.
Reject Nation, at the start of this year, I was sitting in over 20% body fat, 218 pounds.
I was end of January as of a couple weeks ago.
finally took the photos i've been talking about it all year i completed the mission six-pack
abs came in 8% body fat 170 pounds you can check out all the transformations on instagram but that's
not why i'm here today i'm here today to tell you that a big part of how i accomplished that journey
was about staying consistent with my nutrition and the best way to do this by keeping things simple
like having a hughal black edition ready to drink a complete meal in a bottle have these a couple
times a week. That first crack, it's always amazing. It's a full meal in a bottle packed with
40 grams of protein, 27 vitamins and minerals, slow release carbs, low sugar, no prep, no cleanup,
just shake it and go. I've got a fridge full of these. We've got three fridges and they're all
full of them. I'd like to grab them on shoot days, gym days, or I'm just too damn tired
to cook, which is an often Greg thing. But more importantly, they taste good. Chocolate and
vanilla. Classics are my go-toes. Smooth taste like actual milkshake. But they got a whole
bunch of other flavors you can catch on their website plus it's under three bucks a meal
which has helped my gains and my budget so reject nation if you're ready to support your health
and help support the channel in a way you can go to huel.com slash rejects new customers get 15
off plus a free gift with code rejects at huel.com slash rejects minimum $35 purchase applies
skip the stress not the nutrition try hugh today for complete nutrition
well time Greg bottled I'm into that I like what their I like the theme that they have
with Chris of like what happens when
you're an individual who works
on accepting your
mistakes and your traumas
but how
do you cope when the rest
of the world doesn't seem to forgive you
for your
past and like the only people who seem
even like that's where some of the back and forth
happens with hardcore right is like
she's torn between like how do I fully
forgive this guy and how do I not
and that's what he's constantly feeling like
he's up against is that
And I think that's a very relatable thing for a lot of people to contend with, you know, when you feel like you've changed.
We often heard about it, like drug addicts and alcoholics, you know, when they go through all these changes, but they've inflicted terrible experiences on the people.
And then that's kind of what I feel like we're watching here, like a guy who's, like, trying to be rehabilitated, but he seeks forgiveness, you know?
You know what I know for fact, at least personally, is that, and I completely agree with what you're saying, Greg, but the one thing I know that you can't do is you're not taking responsibility if you're not accepting the consequences or the ramifications for your actions.
Yeah, yeah.
And by leaving, he's not accepting the consequences and ramifications of his actions.
Yeah.
He's deciding, I actually can't do it with all this and I'm going to go elsewhere and be the person I was born to be.
The person you're born to be is the person you are.
And the person you are has done things that other people cannot forgive.
And part of learning to live in life is learning to be,
accept the fact that they cannot forgive you and deal with the consequences.
Yeah, I think that's where the arc is heading for this.
Yeah, so that's interesting to me as well.
Well, and that's what makes me wonder if we're not maybe actually,
I would not at all be surprised if we are headed toward some kind of development
where, yeah, the alternate university is going to is actually like really terrible for some reason.
but I think it would almost be
a more interesting choice if it wasn't
and he has to choose
to go back to the place
that he belongs and continue his
responsibility rather than
living easily in this
heaven that he's not earned
of sorts. I don't necessarily
expect that to happen but I do think it would be
an interesting writing choice since I think it
for any sci-fi fan we're all sitting here
going where's the monkey's paw you know.
I think that's really possible to John because
like it could be a great, we could have
no issues with his family and no issues
with Amelia. However, this is
not the kind of person he would fall
in love with. He's not in love
with this version of Amelia. He's in love with the person
that he can relate to, who's been
through the ringer, who understands
and can support him
in what he's doing because she's been there.
And is more like him. And it's more like
him. And same thing with this family,
maybe we
do see a perfect version of them, but they're not
perfect for him because that's not who he
is anymore. And so I do think that that would
be an interesting, I kind of think both would be an interesting choice. Well, I think that they
have withheld, when you really think about the conversations he's had with his brother, with his
dad, there, they haven't been that detailed of what we've seen. Like, they've recounted some
stories, but it's more like, I love you, Chris, we get along. We get along. It's like the line of
dialogues essentially keeps boiling down to. We get along. We get along. We love each other. We love
each other but there's so much specificity that's actually we haven't dived into yet and especially
with the dad i think so i do think it's more of the former that it would be there's there's something
suspicious going on i'm intrigued by both and i'm i want to also get a little bit more with
rick flag senior i think gorilla's doing a good job um but yeah it has pretty much just been
which makes sense for where we're at at his time in this story of you know being one this
shark who's just set on revenge.
But yeah, every conversation has just pretty much been I want to get peacemaker and revenge of my son.
And I kind of want to explore him a little bit more.
Because I'm a fan of the character after Creature Commandos especially.
So that's why I think that's why I'm itching for a little bit more.
Ultimately, I think that it's going to culminate in a forgiveness story, perhaps.
Maybe, but that's not where I was going with Rick Flagg, senior, seeing his son.
Yeah.
And I think that that will give you more of what you're looking for.
just to expand the arc and see how he would deal with that.
Because as we saw him, he's like a little bumbling office worker.
Yeah.
That would kind of be an interesting moment for Rick Flagg Sr.
To see Ricky over there, like, what?
That's crazy.
I'm surprised Chris.
I felt like there would be a part of Chris that would have been tempted to give him the information
that like your son is alive in another dimension.
Yeah, I was saying that too.
But at that point, he probably already knew he was going.
Yeah.
Or maybe he even had a slight death wish in that moment.
I was surprised that when he wrote the letter to ads, he said,
you can you guys give this to Argus,
it will put you in their good graces because then Argus would be able to use it to come after him.
What?
The helmet?
Yeah, yeah.
You know?
I think he figured it would be hard to find him, but, like,
theoretically, he would be giving Argus the tool to come find him.
I feel like they would probably, I mean, it would be still,
even if they got
finished to get inside,
they still have to
really work hard
to figure it out.
They will access it
at some point.
It's obvious they will.
They wouldn't be much of...
Who Argus or his friends?
His friends and Argus.
Yeah.
It wouldn't be much of a show
if they didn't.
And I think we will
explore other dimensions
along the way.
Like, I think it's going to be
mayhem.
There's like one little moment
in the trailer where
I don't exactly recall what it is.
I want to say it once,
but there was like a thing of like skulls.
And that moment was like,
screenshot it a lot on
ex formerly known as Twitter.
And I think that will,
I think that's part of like the mayhem
we're going to be encountering
is the dimension hopping and shit.
I think it's going to be really fun.
It's to be chaotic and wild.
Anything in particular you're hoping we see John?
Golly.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, they have said that the last
three episodes are like a whole other
season of telly and we have
been very restrained on our use
of the multiversal portal
thus far.
So I am, you know, pretty excited to see some multiversal madness along with, you know, the rest of the story beats and everything that I've come to be so invested in.
Any cameo you're hoping for great.
Dr. Strange.
Really?
Yeah.
Why not?
John Cresensky.
See Amalgamated Universe.
Yeah, might as well.
Ezra Miller and Jason Mabu.
Yeah.
Patrick Stewart and the big, gauly.
Jared Letto.
Listen, he's been giving you.
Let's get Michael Keaton in here.
David Ayer.
Well, let us know in the comments.
Who do you guys want to see?
Anything you're hoping for?
Any final thoughts from the guys?
I'm good.
I'm holding in the bathroom since we started.
Oh, good.
Well, we'll see you guys for episode six.
Happy that.
Eagley survived.
And go make some peace.
Later, Rejects.
