Gift Someone (Or Yourself) An RR Tee! https://shorturl.at/hekk2 Another season comes to an end as Greg & Tara give their Percy Jackson Season 2 Finale Reaction, Recap, Breakdown, Commentary, & Full Season Spoiler Review! Greg Alba & Tara Erickson react to Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, Episode 8 — the epic season finale, as the Disney+ series brings the Sea of Monsters storyline to a climactic, prophecy-shifting conclusion. With Camp Half-Blood on the brink of destruction and Cronos’s manipulation finally laid bare, this episode delivers large-scale action, major mythological reveals, and lasting consequences for Percy and his friends. After an emotional parting with his mother, Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson sneak back into Camp Half-Blood in an attempt to help get the Golden Fleece to Thalia's tree. Standing in their way is Luke, jilted from Cronos’s influence & deception, leading a makeshift army of monsters & demigods to burn Camp Half-Blood to the ground, forcing Percy into another emotionally charged confrontation that tests loyalty, destiny, and free will as an all-out battle breaks loose at the camp. The chaos culminates with Clarisse reaching Thalia’s tree with the Golden Fleece, only to trigger a massive blast resurrecting Thalia... In the aftermath, Percy experiences a powerful dream-vision with his father Poseidon, confirming the Titans have been freed & enlisting Percy and Tyson's help in the war to come. Later, a reinstated Chiron recounts the truth of Thalia’s past and the message once delivered to her by the Furies. The episode’s final revelations land hard when Zeus (Courtney B. Vance – The People v. O.J. Simpson) is revealed as Thalia’s father, attempting—and failing—to bend her toward the prophecy and his protection. Thalia’s reunion with Annabeth in the final moments signals a future where Cronos may once again seek to twist destiny itself. And we get a cheeky li'l post-credits scene with Circe (Rosemarie DeWitt)! Season 2's Cast of Characters includes: Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), Clarisse La Rue (Dior Goodjohn), Luke Castellan (Charlie Bushnell), Thalia Grace (actress TBD), Sally Jackson (Virginia Kull), Tyson (Daniel Diemer), Chiron / Mr. Brunner (Glynn Turman), Dionysus / Mr. D (Jason Mantzoukas), Hermes (Lin-Manuel Miranda), & More! How do the most successful women do it?
We ask them on how she does it with Karen Feinerman.
You'll get insights from leaders like today's Jenna Bush Hager.
There's a lot I say no to, and I think it's a really important word for women to use.
Rachel Weber of Paris Hilton's 1111 media.
I'm going to be a much better leader.
I'm going to bring more creativity if I have other things filling my life.
And more.
That's how she does it with me, Karen Feinerman.
wherever you get your podcast.
Thank you to Hewell for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
You're ready to do this?
Yeah, let's freaking go.
Let's go.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we just watched Percy Jackson,
The Sea of Monsters and the Olympians in season two.
Of course, thanks to Prepper for editing down these highlights.
Thank you, Prepper.
And, hey, if you want to get the full reaction watch along,
where you sync up with your own copy,
where's that available?
What side is that?
Patreon.com backslash the real rejects.
You also get 15% of all rejectnation shop.com gear.
And you get to send us questions on anything we're watching.
You get one week in advance of the schedule, which I think is pretty cool.
Yeah, pretty cool.
And because of the way we shoot these, you don't do that for this one.
No.
All right.
Well, we have ended things.
Let's do a little minor recap of things.
Thalia awoken.
Thalia might be threat to be Kronos's champion.
and Luke in them are gone.
They did not succeed.
And, but right, they're in like, they fled, right?
Yeah.
Are they being held person or did I miss a line?
No, no, go, go.
Because the lightning attack happened, but does there a piece of information that was
like communicated?
I don't think so.
If I'm wrong, just type it.
It's okay.
Sometimes, you know, might miss a line or two.
And even though that's her job.
Secondly, and, uh, we,
Clarice, Percy, they get along now.
They're buddies.
Bodies, friends.
Got her sister back.
And a bad guy, bad dead in Zeus.
Bad dad.
And bad dad.
Percy got to talk to dad.
Percy got to talk to dad.
Tyson did too.
Percy Dad.
Tyson's on a mission for dad.
Percy Dad.
All right.
So how are you feeling?
I mean, I'm feeling good.
I will say that the one thing,
that I miss throughout these episodes
is that there is stuff that is glossed over
that we do not get to see
that I understand may have made it
like a longer episode or may have cost too much.
In regards to Clarice, she fell off Pegasus,
she's alone in the woods, what happened there?
I still wanted to see them right,
the rainbow dragons.
But overall, the good stuff is that
I did really like the guy
who came after Clarice.
I thought he was very believable.
The intensity was there,
which I think has been missing
in some of these kids' performances.
And when I say that,
I don't mean that they're bad performances.
I say that the intensity,
in each one of them,
you can tell that,
oh, that's their intensity.
That's the way they show us their intensity.
It's not that much of a range
versus that one,
the one guy that came after,
I was like, oh, I really believe
he's, like, going to kill her.
So that was fun.
I liked the fight scene.
I thought that them going into battle was cool.
We stayed into master shots,
which I thought looked really, really good.
And I'm glad we finally got to see that,
you know, the flashback we kept seeing about Dahlia coming in.
She's in all black with a lantern.
And now we get that.
Again, she comes through the doors.
There's no lantern.
It's not as severe as that.
And we get to see her meet up again with Annabeth,
which I thought was a sweet moment.
But I thought that the sweetest moment was Tyson.
I really like Tyson a lot
And when he's talking about how I prayed to the gods
I was like on the streets and alone
I just needed a friend and they sent me a brother
Really sweet
Good writing
What about you?
Sir
Well
To bring contrast
I'm going to lower my voice
I'm going to talk in a slower rhythm
Just so
Idiot
It's not just
Idiot
Otherwise
Idiot
It will be a shrill review.
I can't wait to get out of this room.
And I got to shoot with him after.
After this, I have two more hours with him.
It's just funny.
Well, then great, then I don't have to react to the next thing.
Less work in hours.
Go ahead.
Shoot away, Greg.
Huh?
Follow your heart.
All you got to do is react.
You can react with a bullet in you.
It would be very unique.
That'd be fun.
Hey, guys.
Don't joke about shooting your friends.
Don't.
Unless, of course, you're planning on actually.
Don't add that in there, prepper.
They're going to forget and lose their minds.
They keep it.
They don't work on the reviews.
People do not think that we are funny and playful friends.
Sometimes they think that when we say things that we're serious and a lot of times, we're not.
Anyway, continue with your job, sir.
Well, he has no words.
I'm not like, nah.
I shouldn't.
Percy
He evolved into a leader
I like a good leader
And it was cool to watch that whole arc happen
I felt like him and Tyson
Reach that brotherly arc
Like kind of a few episodes ago
Yes
And then they have these moments with them
That are always nice and tender
Including this one
That seemed to be like
The arc has done
The arc is done
The arc and I'm like I feel like we've kind of
They keep barking it
I feel like we've hit this beat a few times
So I thought we like hit that arc, unless I'm missing something.
But I do love the tenderness of that and the completion.
Tyson is an amazing addition to this season and loved his interactions with Percy.
I love their brotherly love.
I feel like they have really good chemistry and him as an individual performer is good.
I love the expansion of Clarice was excellent.
That whole final battle is probably, I mean, we said this about the last episode,
but I actually feel like this episode is the best action of them all.
actually had action and violence.
Violence is not really a thing I associate with this show.
Right.
Like when Percy was getting punched,
that was like,
you're not used to that with this show.
It's the most visceral one that an audience
I couldn't feel because most of us don't know
what it's like to be in a sword battle,
but a lot of us do get in situations
or if you've never been directly punched
or have been hit by something by accident, at least.
I thought he was going to say none of us have gone in a sword battle,
but we all know what it's like
to be punched multiple times in the face.
Please.
Hello, Reject.
It is now 2026, and I've been thinking a lot about what health actually means to me right now.
And I'm sure a lot of you are, too.
Last year I made a big deal about dropping, like, 50 pounds.
All because I wanted to get those dang photos.
And afterwards, I was going to go back to, like, whatever lifestyle I wanted.
And you know how it goes.
Life gets stressful.
Food is my main outlet.
Especially Saturday nights.
When I say binge, I mean, I binge.
Some people think like I'm doing that exactly.
dreamtly thing.
But it's not. It's bad.
Eating just crap until I fall asleep and then waking up the next day,
filled with regret than trying to walk it all off over the course of two days.
So instead of going more extreme this year, I'm focused on something much more sustainable.
A lifestyle I can actually maintain.
And a big part of when I felt my best was when I was using a lot of this stuff like the
hules and everything brought a lot from home just for today's video.
I even grabbed the variety packs.
so I can have more of these, like, different flavors.
I really like this chocolate peanut butter one.
So you're literally looking at my rotation.
I got the Huell ready to drink.
I got the bottles that I bring here at the office ready to go.
I got the black addition powder.
They got, like, a wide variety of flavors,
and these are my go-toos.
And I am vegetarian and allergic to dairy,
so I'm actually really happy that this is all plant-based,
created by registered nutritionists,
affordable per serving,
and it removes decision fatigue when I'm on the go in a rush
or when stress fatigue is really high.

However, this is something I have genuinely come back to.
So thank you, Hewell, for sponsoring this video.
I do.
Roxy's Dryer.
So, yeah, like the whole fight there.
Thalia coming to the fold.
It's a good ending tease of what's to come.
because, like, is she friend or foe?
Like that crossroads there?
Overall, I just think the season was a much better season than season one.
So just a vast improvement.
And in terms of, like, an ending of a season, I do feel like they closed a chapter.
It feels like literally, like, a chapter is closed on this book.
Like, it's a book series.
So book series generally tell an overall narrative.
And this feels like they completed a solid chapter.
There were parts where, yeah, I felt like maybe they could.
kind of glossed over it or rushed over it.
There were certain scenes and I'm like,
I feel like that would have been a good tension scene,
like Clarice showing up and having to flee
and losing the horse and stuff like that.
And some stuff that happens off screen, I do miss.
But, you know, I forget about it because they're throwing
something else in my face.
It's a little bit more engaging at the time.
And I wouldn't have wanted it to be longer.
I like that there's kind of, like, truly,
and I'm just saying like, oh, I get certain scenes
they're choosing not to have in there.
there, I understand. I wouldn't have wanted them to bump it up to like, this is an hour long. I'm like, no, we don't need that. Maybe just a 20 seconds of her like, where's she going, right? Just a little bit of juice there. Even 10 seconds of rainbow dragon flying around in the ocean could have been fun. But overall, yeah, I'm with you on that.
Yeah. All good stuff. Emotions were there. And yeah, I don't really think I have any complaints.
Really? No. It's like good news. It's like we feel good about the show. Obviously, season two really jumped up from season one. I think, again, it looks more cinematic. We've talked about this before. The lighting is a little better. It's a little less like TV. There are, there's a little more depth up and downs with the actors. I still think we could get a lot more out of them. Intensity wise.
and acting-wise, like when they are emotional,
that they're not always giving us the same response.
Like, heavy breathing, keep your eyes open,
so your eyes start to gloss over.
Like, I guess I'm saying this,
because I'm an actor, so I know the tricks.
And I can tell, like when Percy,
you can tell that he's directed,
I think, in the moment, to go,
okay, when this happens, we're going to zoom in,
you're going to need to puff up your chest,
like you're getting ready,
and then the voiceover's going to come.
It's going to be lightning, right?
I can see him making the choice to go.
And I don't know.
I'm not there yet where I'm fully attached to Percy and the actor becoming one,
where I'm seeing it as like,
you've been directed to do this.
It's not believable.
It is.
But I want it to be a little more believable.
I want a little more depth in there,
a little more diving into like,
because we saw that twice from him in this episode where he goes,
and then he does a look.
and he's like that when he's on the battlefield
and then here at the end.
And I know that's a direction choice
because he doesn't really do that a lot.
That's not a Percy thing, right?
So it's him being like,
okay, now you're in this leader thing.
And I wish that maybe there had been
a little bit of juice there
previously in the other episodes
that gave us a little bit of that
what you're doing with your body
so that when he does that, I'm not clocking it,
if that makes sense.
That's it.
These are like little nitpicky things
that I'm just noticing.
guess because from an actor's point of view,
maybe from a reactor's point of view,
I don't know.
But overall, I think the series is fun.
Special effects are really good.
They did a great job on the makeup.
And again, season two, a nice jump from season one.
Wow.
He has some strong feelings there.
Yeah.
Geez.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
The person's like my favorite actor in the show.
That's good.
He is good.
But it's not bad.
I'm saying I'm a clocking him going up.
And I think it's a director's choice, not a his choice.
I also feel like I feel like every one of them improved as actors from season one to season two.
Kind of like the Harry Potter kids.
Harry Potter kids were not as great in the first movie.
Agreed.
Get greater as time goes on.
Yeah.
Well, that's it for today.
Overall, much, much better season.
Really did prefer this one over the first.
What did you guys think?
Leave your thoughts down below.
How do you feel about the casting?
Do you hate all the children acting like Tara?
That is not me.
That is my two little nitpicky things, and that's not.
Did I ever say that I didn't like him?
No, I said, big jump.
We're just the internet.
We don't hear things in nuance.
Obviously.
And we only point out when we disagree.
That's the way it goes.
Okay.
Well, thanks so much for being here.
And we'll see you guys soon.
Peace.
