But before we get to those patron questions, I just want to know from you, Tara, how did you feel about the first Resident Evil movie? This was fun. I loved it. I thought it was a blast. I didn't know what it was going to be.

I didn't know it was going to be action. I didn't know Michelle was going to be in it. And I love her. I really love how the women were written in this. They're the strong, smart ones. especially Michelle through it she was the one to obviously kill them first,

crack the next first, she's really, really strong. So is Hovich. And yeah, you guys would probably give me a lot of crap saying that's not how you. I know that's probably not how you.

They love you. You know how I operate, okay? And I love, I really liked her. I think she's a great actress. I'm trying to look at what else she's done because I know her name more than I know her actually. Exactly. Me too because. Oh, this element.

Fifth Element. That's an old movie, right? I don't know if I saw that. It's a Bruce Willis movie. And Gary Olman, I didn't, I don't think I ever saw Fifth Element either. I've seen that. The Fourth Kind.

Okay. A couple of Resident Evils. All right. Yeah, I feel like I would, oh, hellboy. I feel like I would have seen her. Hellboy. She was in World Breaker most recently,

which is a 2025 movie, but I haven't seen it. I haven't seen that. Anyway, sorry, continue. I don't know what that is. No, I just, I loved it. It was a great time. really glad this is like action adventure mixed with zombie horror parts to it. It's a few jump scares

to me. There wasn't a bunch of stuff that I could call. Like, you know, when you're like, oh, it's a video game thing, maybe it'll be corny or maybe I'll be able to know what's ahead of us. I didn't really know. I agree with you on that. I'm looking up right now because I'm super curious. I was under the impression that people didn't like these movies. Yeah. I thought that movie was Like, rad. Me too. Like, so fun. So this first Resident Evil movie on Rotten Tomatoes, do you want to guess or do you want me to tell you? Okay.

Well, you kind of said they might not like you. So, well, here's what I hope that it would be. That audience would be like 83 and maybe critics are like 71. Critics are 36. Whoa. Audience is 67. Both lower than you thought and that I thought as well. I cannot believe how shredded this got.

What? I found this to be, and maybe it's diehard fans of the video game that don't feel like it's about adaptation or something. I was like, they must be mad about the game. I thought it was a lot of fun. Me too. Just looking at a couple of the people who didn't like it.

Are they talking about delivery? They said an ultra-gory video game to movie disappointment. I didn't find it even to be ultra-gory. No, it wasn't. Despite a promising setup, pick never really goes anywhere. Instead, immersing viewers in a kid. genetic onslaught of flesh and flesh eaters.

What? No. I think it goes. I was a variety. I don't know. Hats off, however, to the production team for set design and one very imaginative death by laser sequence. The rest is derivative, tedious mess. Wow, you and I have watched a lot of movies together, and I got to say, I feel like to

not even think that this movie would be fresh is kind of wild. It's really worth me. I don't get it. I don't understand that because I don't think it was that. I understand that like once the zombies come, we get it. But we're also learning about the freaking venom thing at the same time. We've got the Red Queen talking to us. Do we trust her or not?

I'm like, I think it's moving. We're trying to get out of here. But then we also have to combat against the zombies and try to not let the people were with die. And then also try to find the anti-venom. I didn't feel like that. I felt like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm with you.

I have some follow-up questions and like, where are we going from here? and like, different characters. But, yeah. No, in general, for video game adaptation, especially when people say there are no good video game adaptations before, like, most recent times.

Right. I feel like this is a super solid video game adaptation. It may be interested. I want to know more about the video game. I really liked our lead role. Like, I just, I liked the love interest story and then he ended up being the jerk.

I like the sister brother storyline. Yeah. Let's see what the patrons have to ask us. I like it, that was, yeah, I mean, I was, yeah, let's see. Maybe the patrons will give us some insight on this. So let's check it out. I'm going to start with you, Tara. All right, mad love.

Even if Tara is playing and I'm like yelling. Totally. Because I don't know if two people can play it once or how that kind of works. Because I don't really know what the game is. But we would kill the zombies together, I bet. Rocks. I'm interested. It's an intriguing idea. Mad love.

It's an intriguing idea. No, neither of has played this game. We haven't, no. And this is not one of the games that my brother played growing up either. So those are the games that I'm more familiar with because I used to sit and watch and play before it was cool to watch gaming. Oh, really? Okay.

Well, I didn't really have a chance. You know, bigger than me. She didn't have a choice. No, I watched a lot of moral comedy. Oh, my God. A lot of 2K life. All right, let's continue. Thank you for the question, Madlove.

Pierre the Reject. Yes, the she-jacks are finally watching Resident Evil. Yeah, that's because you guys. That's right, baby. What was y'all favorite trap? Mine was laser, which is iconic in the game. I mean, it can't not be laser, right? I did love it.

I will tell you that I really loved. This wasn't a trap. I loved when Ho-Hohovich grabs on, lifts up, puts the leg, snaps the neck of the zombie with the thighs. Just while we have him in the room, quick question for John, who's over here grabbing a chair. John, there's no way that Milo-Jovic's name is Ho-Hovic, is it? Just checking. That's what I'm calling her from now until the end of time. canonical pronunciation is Mila Yovovich.

Is that true? I believe that is true. Say it again, it's Joe, Yovovovich. Soft J. Okay. Ho-hovich? It's that Scandinavian Yovovovic. So I've been saying Jovovich and she's been saying Ho-ho-Vitch, both accurate.

I think yours is the more commonly used one, but, you know, get creative, Tara. They know that I do. That's how I rock. That's how I roll. And now honestly I want to double down with Ho-HoVitch. See? Now you guys are going to be Ho-Ho-Vitching in the comments because you got to get on track because let's be honest. It's going to be Ho-ho-Vitch through the rest of the movies.

And honestly, we can play with that because Vich-Ho-ho. Like, Vich-ho is rich. Vich. Ho-ho-vich. Vich-ho. Sure, yep. My favorite trap was definitely the laser, period. Done.

Full stop. I agree with that. It was a lot of fun. I did also really like this is when we were climbing on the pipes. Yeah. And he escapes through the back, like when the gun thing where the audience felt trapped, like we thought he shot himself. Yeah, and then he leaves.

I don't know that they should have shown us that he didn't shoot himself. Like, I kind of wish we just heard the gunshot, assumed he shot himself. And then we see him. And then had a flashback of him actually not doing it. Exactly. Yeah. Because once you see him not do it, you're like, okay, we're definitely going to see him again at some point. Right.

Why else would they show us that? I agree. I agree. But I like that one. Yeah. Okay. Residency, my favorite duo are back with another series. That's right, baby.

If zombies were real and started taking over and some of your friends and family were a bit, would you be able to separate their old selves versus their infected selves? Personally, I couldn't and I would probably just have to lock them up somewhere if possible, unless they were jerks in the past lives and then, well, I might just have more fun. More fun. Ho-hovic fun. Yeah, I, okay.

Like, I love Roxy. But she started to turn. Yeah. Boom. I want everybody, if you haven't watched our reaction to the mist yet, that's how Tara feels about shooting people. It's not a matter of if, but when. When things get tough,

Tara is done with everyone. It's true. And listen, you know what that means? 100% sure. In an apocalypse situation amongst the rejects, one of us is surviving. And it is that girl. My money is on Tara. I like you, Resonance, am a sucker.

We're both suckers. And in Walking Dead, when you see people like tie up their loved ones and stick them in like an attic and they're like, Yeah. Because I feel like maybe one day there will be a cure for whatever it is that's going on. Like maybe one day until their body starts to decay and I'm like, no, they won't look cute no more if they're secure. They won't be happy to be here. I would at least keep them there until decaying was taking place. Oh, wow.

Okay. I know that's not how you feel. Risky. It's risky. It's for sure. They're going to get out and they're going to bite you rocks. And now you're, skip to you, you're a zombie. You know what I don't understand?

Why don't we ever in these shows or movies see them use handcuffs? To handcuff to zombies? It's always ties and robes and stuff. It's like, I don't know why our brain went there, but I think because she's locking up her loved ones. She's handcuffing them. I'm handcuffing up. Yeah, because the ties you can get out of.

No, well, we did, he, because remember, he needed the keys for the handcuffs, our guy who survived. Yeah, but that wasn't a zombie. Yeah, you're right. Handcuff the non-zombies. You're right, you're right, you're right, you're right. But I'm saying, like, you guys had handcuffs with you. Totally.

We couldn't handcuff a single zombie. I guess you got to get close to them, but I just have thoughts on that. She's got thoughts. The start of a new horror franchise. I'm curious how I was excited y'all just start a new franchise after the first movie resident evil has always had these different types of creatures i'm curious if you all really like them in the movie okay like them oh no if we liked them yeah if we like them i wonder if you guys are like them are you similar uh i love them i didn't know that they saw different types rocks i mean either that's a that sounds like a lot of fun and yes i of course liked them yeah that feels very um stranger things ask to me, which I'm not saying that this took that from stranger things. Stranger Things obviously comes later.

Also feels very last of us like. It does. You know, and I like creatures that also morph and can grow in the, the fact that like when he, this creature went for our meany dude. Yeah. And it morphed more. It's like, ooh, that kind of reminds me of last of us with the clickers and then what they can become over time.

Exactly. What not. So I'd be very excited. And just in general, I'm excited for this. franchise yeah i'm confused i'm excited and confused i'm confused on how people didn't like this and if they didn't like if if if this is the level that we keep getting i'm gonna be stoked oh yeah me too like i'm i'm like sign me up like are you kidding i'm a resident evil fan now uh love this love the vibe i thought it was very exciting and also the pacing to me i don't know what you guys are talking about like

derivative. Even maybe there's some stuff with the zombie stuff that maybe you wanted it to move faster. We are just in one location. There's not like big, huge ideas here. It's like, well, we're fighting against zombies. We're trying to get out of here. I get it. But we're also trying to find out what happened to Ho-hovic's memory and they're a husband, right?

There's a few things working in here. But I never felt like the pacing where I was like, God, all right. When are we going to? I get it. I never felt that way. And that, to me, is the sign of a good film. Like you want to just be taken on a journey. It was.
