Starting point is 00:00:00 It's the final chapter. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da. There we go, baby. Resident Evil, the final chapter. It's Tara. It's Roxy. It's the Che-Jex. It's the Scream Queens.
Starting point is 00:00:12 It's the horrors. And we are here to watch the last of the ho-hoes. Okay. That's all I can say about that. Now we're going to watch Final Chapter. Here we go. 5 for sponsoring this video. More on them in just video.
Starting point is 00:00:28 Whoa. Citizens of the Reject Nation, we just watch Resident Evil, the final chapter. That closes out the Ho-Hoh. viches of the Resident Evil movies. Thank goodness for anecdotes. Am I right? Yep. They saved us.
Starting point is 00:00:44 It's a joke. Okay, 2016, so this movie's 10 years old. It looked like it was made today. I mean, it was... So, it looked great. It looked incredible. I love that one. I can't wait to talk to you guys about it.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Can't wait to hear Tara's thoughts. But before we do that, we want to give a special shout out to our patrons at home. Patreon.com slash Rail Rejects. That's where you can take up your own copy. It's where Greg and John covers up exclusively. so we get discounts on our merch Reject Nationshop.com like this Shegect Reject original sweater.
Starting point is 00:01:10 We don't sell this color right now but you can get other colors that when we say that something is limited time only, that's what we mean. We do sell this right now which is also limited time only a Halloween special and we are now in the fall season so you guys should pick that up. We appreciate it. Another cool thing you can do over on Patreon and ask us questions. We use those questions to guide our reviews
Starting point is 00:01:31 and we will get to those but before I do that I want to remind you guys if you made it this far on the video, don't forget to like, comment, subscribe. Ring the bell! Ring the bell! And if you're Sheeeked, you already know, we'll give you a word today towards the end. So stick around if you want to participate in the comments. The more that you guys do like, comment, subscribe, the more the she-jacks get the opportunity to do more stuff here. It's true.
Starting point is 00:01:52 I have to say, we are the duo. Get on that algorithm. We are the duo. Yeah, we are. It feels nice to be loved. Oh, so loved. Listen, that doesn't mean we're not simultaneously. but it's very cool to see how much you guys have embraced us
Starting point is 00:02:08 in the horror community and with something like this a video game franchise and action movie you've embraced us so much that we're running through the entire franchise plus we may or may not be switching over to the video games as well because you guys have told us Alice doesn't even exist over there so we've got to figure out what is going on okay on that note Tara before we get to the patron questions
Starting point is 00:02:29 how do you feel about the final chapter There we go. There we go, girl. I loved it. Thought it was one of the best looking movies of this, like, franchise. We went back to the OG. Like, I do remember one being more horror-s,
Starting point is 00:02:45 more jump scares. We went back to that and this one. The story was, like, really tight. I loved that they kept us second-guessing with sort of like the red herring, who's the mole. A lot of fight scenes. A lot of great choreography.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Um, yeah, sure, a lot, like some of those quick-born identity cuts, um, but I didn't, I didn't hate it. There's sometimes I got dizzy like rocks, but it looked so, so good. Like, it was very, it was giving John Wick, uh, and I love that. Um, I'm really glad also that we went back to the laser room. Like, there's a lot of fun callbacks at the beginning of this and we had Mown and Mernel back. What a reveal that that's Alicia like Alice. Wow. I loved it. I thought it was when we were like we really hope it's six of landing. I think it did.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I feel the same way. I know from previous videos when we looked at this that this did not perform well on Rotten Tomatoes Norris anything in this franchise. We've talked a lot about how this video game fans were not fans of this franchise because of the lack of similarities with the video. the game. For us who hadn't played the games before who fell in love with Allison Hovich, yes, there's a lot of stuff that's pretty
Starting point is 00:04:03 obvious that I feel like we should have seen coming more like Alicia and Alice those names being so similar. Exactly. The one guy being so sussed the whole time and it was him that she had juiced all that stuff. But at the same time like and yes me feeling nauseous. But I just think
Starting point is 00:04:18 it did stick the landing. It did kick butt. It was fun to watch. Would I personally have liked it to be a little little less like nausea inducing at times. Yes. A little less chubby. But it looked so sick that I was like, okay, you know, I get motion sickness with things
Starting point is 00:04:35 sometimes. It does seem like a lot of critics, the negative reviews, a lot of it does seem to be because of the fast cuts and heavy shaking that made the action scenes a little hard to watch. I can imagine on a big screen that this might be challenging to watch. Yeah. And genuinely it did kind of during times you saw me. I was kind of like like this, like struggling to like, look at the screen for a second because it was making me feel burpy.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Like, like, legit, like, vomitious. Like, vomitious. But at the same time, I was like, this is fucking sick. It's so cool. And knowing that, like, these stump people are doing this. And also, I was so happy to have Allie Larder back teamed up with Ho-Ho because I think that they make an iconic duo. And I also think having Ian Glenn is the villain, like, he's so, so good.
Starting point is 00:05:23 So good. So good. So-govers across the board were great. Really, really enjoyed this. forward to not only Raccoon City, but also the fact that they're continuing this franchise, and we're going to be able to watch with you guys. Very exciting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:34 It's like I love Resident Evil. I love Raccoon City. I love this world. And I'm having fun with this. So let's get the Patreon questions to see what you guys have to say. How many times you've had an idea for something you could sell and just never did anything with it? Because I think a lot of us convince ourselves, I don't know how to build a website.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I don't know how to run a business. I'll figure it out eventually. And then eventually it never comes. That's why this video. is sponsored by Shopify, but we've actually used Shopify for years with RejectnationShop.com way before they ever paid us anything to talk about them. And when we started selling stuff, we definitely didn't know what we were doing with every part of running an online store.
Starting point is 00:06:09 That's why Shopify made sense for us. Shopify gives you one place to build your storefront, put your products up, take payments to start selling without needing to know how to code or have every single thing figured out beforehand. Shop pay also makes checkout real simple for your customers. So instead of spending all your energy figuring, not the technical stuff, you can actually focus on the thing you wanted to create in the first place. You don't need to have the whole business figured out before you start. Shopify gives you somewhere to
Starting point is 00:06:37 start. So if you're ready to hear the of your first sale, head over to Shopify.com slash rejects to start your free trial today. That's right. Start your free trial at Shopify.com slash rejects. That's Shopify.com slash rejects. Thank you, Shopify for once again sponsoring this video. I'm going to have you start. Okay, Kara, says Roxy and Tara absolutely love you guys. And to Roxy specifically, I've been backing you 1,000% since your reaction
Starting point is 00:07:05 to The Miss. Crashout forever. The best crash out ever. I love this franchise just as much as you do. Question, other than Ho-hovic, who... Thank you. Thank you. Kara slash Kara. See, I don't know if she's Kara like Tara or Kara like Laura.
Starting point is 00:07:21 We don't know. We do know she's on board with Horovic. So she's the She knows us and she's asking Who's your second favorite female badass In this series? I mean we gotta go Yeah I go we go Allie Larder We have to I know that people love Jill Valentine They love her so much
Starting point is 00:07:36 And I get that but for me I think that Allie Larder is just so good With Hovich and yeah I just love watching each of them together I mean hands down her But I do I mean Michelle is like one of my favorites always
Starting point is 00:07:53 In all movies Yes that I'm like, since she picked her, I'll go with Michelle Rodriguez because like she was just, she's amazing and I love her. She is so great. So I'll go with that.
Starting point is 00:08:05 The Ruby Rose in this was, it was surprising. Yeah. We didn't get enough of her in this, I didn't feel, but it was cool to see her in 2016. I don't think Orange's the New Black was out. Her season was out yet. Or maybe it was, yeah. 2015, 22.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Oh. She'd already done that, but I don't know what she filmed first. Exactly. But yeah, that's cool. Clearly this must have helped her get John Wick. Yeah, that's really cool. Constantine. I mean, she's bad ones.
Starting point is 00:08:35 She definitely looked cool as shit in this. Totally. Thank you for the question. Leon 03. I hope you all know that Alice was never part of any Resident Evil games. Yes, we've been made aware. And that this franchise only took a few scenes and characters in the second, third, and fifth game, Jill, Carlos, Wesker, Nemesis, Chris, Claire, Leon.
Starting point is 00:08:54 That's a lot. Ada and Barry, yeah. Okay, that's a lot. Okay. Regarding, sorry, Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse was at the time the closest to any of the movies adapting the source material to some extent. Do y'all think y'all are ready to be more open for future Resident Evil movies being more faithful to the lore of the video games? And finally, that the original characters shine in the big screen. I mean, listen, it doesn't mean the same thing to us as it does to the video game players.
Starting point is 00:09:21 But of course, we're always open. Like, am I open to Resident Evil? I hear that Raccoon City is much more accurate to the games. So am I, are we open to that? Yeah. For sure, of course. But I don't know that we'll even be aware of it when watching because we haven't started the game.
Starting point is 00:09:40 So we don't know like what, when we're watching it. I won't know what is canon and what's not. What is part of the lore and what's not. Exactly. Like we won't know if we're being faithful to the lore of the video games because we haven't played them. It is maybe on our track to do so. which is exciting.
Starting point is 00:09:57 But of course, like, to let the OG character shine, like on the big screen, yeah. Like, I don't even know who the OG characters. I mean, no, I mean, you named 18 million here, Leon. But, like, yeah, I would, I think we still would like it. Yeah, me too. And we shall see. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:14 All right, Jaden Rhodes says this is easily one of the worst of the Alice movies. It's just boring and bland and lacks the fun from the other movies. I'm curious if y'all agree. And how would you rank these movies? See, that's so weird because they, loved the last one so much people loved that one and we had a really hard time we did we loved two ago I don't find this to be easily one of the worst I know this is in the top half for me like I think I think four and one are our favorites but after four and one it might be six and then I think maybe
Starting point is 00:10:44 two three five yeah but it hard to say right now the official ranking but I think that this might be in third place for me, if not third place, fourth place. I'm with her on that, simply because, I mean, I'm telling you that the way this movie looked and also those fight sequences, what a blast. I think, you know, the last movie was, it was odd that we were like, I just didn't feel as connected to the plot. And I'm not saying a lot of these movies are plot heavy. I still had a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:11:18 But this movie went peddled to the metal with the fight choreography, the makeup. the zombies, like all of our characters on the side. I just thought it was a lot of fun. And I did not feel the time really at all. No. Which is great. And also I kind of like when they use a device, like how we have 48 hours to do this.
Starting point is 00:11:38 It's like, okay, so now we're moving. Exactly. We know exactly our timeline. Yeah. Thank you for the question though, Jaden. I'm sorry that you didn't like this one. I hope that you like the next one. And I hope that we like the next one.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Yeah. We actually are going to get out of here because we're going to do some more watching. Yeah, y'all. So we are really excited to continue this franchise with you guys. Let us know if you do think we should play the video games. If you think that's a fun journey for us. Yeah, a lot of so.
Starting point is 00:12:04 What we should be prepared for for the next movie. Yeah. Should I be like doing video game workouts? Yeah, good point, good point. Thumb exercise. As we're coming to the end of this franchise, we always are looking for franchise suggestions. I've thrown leprechaun out there so many times.
Starting point is 00:12:19 I don't know why we're not picking up. Because that's coming from you guys. but we'll figure it out. Okay, let's figure out word of the day. Oh, yeah. We got to give them a word. Okay, okay, okay, okay. What do you think it is?
Starting point is 00:12:35 I mean, dragons could be cool. Dragon's cool. Because it was in there and then at the end, too. I don't know if it was a dragon, but whatever it was, dragon. Fit dragon in, make it sneaky, make it cool, make it sexy, make it fun. You know what to do. Just drag on. You see what I did there.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Just like an anecdote. We love, yep, just take the anecdote, guys. We love you, she-jewx at home. We love you, Reject Nation, and we'll see you next time. Later.
