As classic 2000s parod...ies, raunchy comedies, and the legendary collaborative projects of the Wayans family continue to dominate pop culture retrospectives, we are diving into Hell House to rewatch the ultimate horror spoof sequel leading right into the upcoming legacy drops of the franchise. Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ In this video review and reaction, Greg and Jackie conquer a wild "try not to look away" challenge as they brave the most boundary-pushing, gross-out humor of the early 2000s. We unpack the stellar comedic performances of the legendary ensemble cast, featuring Anna Faris (The House Bunny, Mom) as the effortlessly brilliant Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall (Girls Trip, The Best Man) as the iconic Brenda Meeks, Marlon Wayans (White Chicks, Requiem for a Dream) as the weed-loving Shorty, and Shawn Wayans (White Chicks, Don't Be a Menace) as the secretly closeted Ray. We also dive into the unhinged supporting players, featuring Chris Elliott (Schitt's Creek, Groundhog Day) as the creepy caretaker Hanson with his infamous "little hand," David Cross (Arrested Development, Kung Fu Panda) as the fragile-egoed Dwight Hartman, Tori Spelling (Beverly Hills, 90210) as Alex Monday, James Woods (Casino) as Father McFeely, and Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) in the unforgettable opening sequence. Our hosts react to every single iconic visual gag, from the chaotic, vomit-drenched Exorcist prologue that had Jackie physically gagging, to Shorty getting rolled into a massive joint and smoked by a sentient weed plant. We breakdown the legendary kitchen scene where Hanson intimately stuffs a turkey, the absurd physical comedy of Cindy's full-tilt hallway fight with a feral cat, and the climax featuring an incredible Charlie's Angels style wire-work martial arts showdown. Even with its fast-paced, sketch-like structure rushed out to theaters right after the massive success of the first film, this movie delivers an onslaught of unforgettable early-2000s references that perfectly showcase the timeless comedic genius of Anna Faris carrying the entire narrative. Starting point is 00:00:30 Not available in all states. Thank you to Hewell for sponsoring this video. More on them in just a bit. Woo, here we go. There was no post-credit scene on RN, so don't yell at me. You can yell at Jackie. She's a woman. She takes the brunt of things.
Starting point is 00:00:58 No. You might be Roxy. That's what is. She's a possessor over the actors. It's like, move on. Move on. Wait, scroll, scroll, scroll. Oh, shit's creaked.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Yeah, come on. What's wrong with you? So a lot. What is it? What's wrong with you? Start. Gosh. Geez.
Starting point is 00:01:16 No, I'm good. I already figured it out. Oh, you're good? I don't need anything else. Oh, you don't need any of them? Oh, he's going to be in the new one. So you've moved on. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Well, I haven't. I wanted to learn more, but fine, whatever. Do you want to be a selfish jerk about it? I'm sorry to what? We just watched. What do we watch, Jackie? Scary movie two. Scary movie two.
Starting point is 00:01:38 I think the worst part was the first, like, when I say the worst part, I mean the part where that was like the most nauseating was the first ten minutes. Yes. I'm glad that the first, yeah. The rest of it really, like,
Starting point is 00:01:50 wasn't that bad. No, there was like some gross stuff. It wasn't that bad. But it wasn't like the first. It was, yeah, the,
Starting point is 00:01:57 all of the bits that were copying the exorcist really just, I did gag twice. I, um, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:07 That was actually gross. Hey, guys, also the full reaction watch along where you submit with your own copy of Scary Movie 2. It's about before a royal rejjjik. Those are our
Starting point is 00:02:15 patrons. We love copyright claims and we love copyright strikes. We've got two right now. That's why you can't see Mario because, you know, they decided to copyright strike. It's an amazing feeling. So thank you guys for helping us offset a lot of those monetization hurdles we often run into. Appreciate it. Did you order a shirt? Did you get a shirt? Did you text Alex?
Starting point is 00:02:32 No. But I have the one that I want. The one that I want. Which one? The one I want. I like the parental advisory. Crop Top. Good. I love that one. That's a Crop Top version? There's a craptop version
Starting point is 00:02:46 It's a crop top version Say Round up Well There's no questions From our patrons I have a question I'm trying to explain
Starting point is 00:02:54 Something Because I messed up And We thought We thought She went out today It was that she was shooting Men and Black 3
Starting point is 00:03:03 It's not what we're actually Shooting I messed that up So they got the wrong questions So there's no questions And I'm sorry I didn't know
Starting point is 00:03:09 What we were shooting Today I thought we were shooting Men in Black 3 Yeah she showed up She's like Oh my back's in pain I feel nauseous.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I brought these glasses. Oh, I'm late because my back's in pain. Oh, that doesn't explain why I'm late every time I come, but oh, my vaccine. Not every time. What was your,
Starting point is 00:03:28 what's your, yeah, you'll use your glasses for my... Do you only have sunglasses for men and black? Like, you don't have... Well, these aren't mine, my friend Elena, left them at my house. Oh, but they're not prescription. No.
Starting point is 00:03:40 No. No. Well, those aren't men in black style, though. Those are just sunglasses. But they're close enough. I mean, yeah, there's sunglasses. What was your question?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Okay, my question is, what do you want to see the new scary movie parody? It's a serious question. Well, I've seen the trailer. Oh, whoa. So, yeah. You're not supposed to watch it. A little big guy around here.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I'm watching the trailer. Whoa, whoa, wow. He thinks he's better than everyone else. He's allowed to watch trailers. I saw. What do I want? What is not in the trailer? Guys, when I got,
Starting point is 00:04:13 When I got this gig, they came to my house. They took away my TV. They blinded me. They took all my contacts. I can only put them in at the office. That was funny. It was really good. Well, I'm genuinely not just throwing it back to you.
Starting point is 00:04:35 I just feel like it's not fierce since I've seen the trailer. What would you, because you've started getting into horror movies in the past like a couple of years. Oh my gosh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What would you want to see parodies? I really, really, really want some it, the new ones, some it parodies. And I feel like, I mean, what's the one that I love? Barbarian.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I would love if they, like, had a nod to a barbarian. Because I know that that was, that one was very highly, well, at least I thought it was, it was very well received. I loved it. It scared the shit out of me. Yeah. I loved it, too. I loved it too.
Starting point is 00:05:10 I know they're parroting weapons a little bit in there. Oh, sick. I'd imagine that they're... I mean, this one, the next one looks like they're just... It's an onslaught. Of just, like, reference, reference. Yeah, it is like incestine.
Starting point is 00:05:22 So we gotta get you to watch some horror movies to make sure you're all caught up on your references. I want to watch Hocum and I want to watch Obsession. Those are good movies that I don't think scary movies is going to reference. I know. I'm just saying. I'm just saying...
Starting point is 00:05:36 I don't think so. Well, it couldn't have obsession just came out. If you're going to watch Scary Movie Six, you're going to have to know some of these references. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So they're going to have to watch some movies. Well, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:05:47 What? Which ones? I'd have to look. Wow. Have you seen Get Out? Oh, love Get Out. Okay. Get Out?
Starting point is 00:05:56 Give me a panic attack. Oh, yeah. No, I could see almost anything giving you a panic attack. Hold for silence. Silence. Crickets. Okay. Anyway, what did you think of this movie?
Starting point is 00:06:09 I liked it I think it I mean it's not as good More than men in black too Yes I liked it more than men in black too Sorry It has more heart It has more heart
Starting point is 00:06:21 It has more heart And at least it knew what it was You know it knew what it was No I I enjoyed it Minus the first Well no The first 10 minutes We're still delightful
Starting point is 00:06:34 Minus like almost You know throwing up True But no I thought it was fun. It's not as good as the first in my book, but I still really like it. They're still super fun to watch. I was surprised. I know you didn't ask me how I thought about this film, but I will gladly share. Greg, how did you feel about this film? Thank you. It's such a guy thing I mean. Let me make it about me now. I was also pleasantly surprised because it hit me when I
Starting point is 00:07:09 walked in on this movie and it was right when they went in the freezer scene and the only scene I remembered was the freezer scene I just just the splat that's what I remember that was the splat I didn't remember like anything else that I saw but there's a splat on the free when she goes in the door oh my god that's a fun movie to watch your dab when you're 11 years old yeah I bet you have more questions for him yeah yeah yeah I still do yeah you should climb yeah my wife says that with the other men, she clearly knows what's happening. But with me, she can just never fully understand what's happening. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:46 But then, but the first half hour I've seen, I feel like I've definitely, it's like, I've definitely like tried rewatching it. We'll try finishing it once when like came out of DVD, but I never actually finished it. Because it's such a long movie. You just couldn't sit down for it. I remember like being just so grossed out when I was younger. I was like fucking 12. You were like, I'm not going to watch the P movie.
Starting point is 00:08:08 I remember being so, I mean, I'm an adult grossed out. So imagine when I'm like 12. I'm like, this is too bad. You're like, this is a little, I'm not a little vomiting poop kind of guy, you know? So I remember there's like little bits like little flashes in my head like, like, there's just like a big vomit bit at some point. So I never bothered to watch because it's like, it just like, it just felt like sketches that were too gross to me. It did make me, I mean, it came on, laid it on so thick in the beginning that I was so worried.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I was just like, boom, boom, boom, boom. And if it was 90 minutes of that, I was going to have to, like, ask for a pause because I was going to have to go throw up. Oh, my God. Quick question. When was the last time that you actually thought about fiber? I'm not talking about protein. I'm not talking about calories. I'm talking about fiber.
Starting point is 00:08:52 During my cut last year, I was drinking Hewels several times a week because I needed something that was easy that could keep me consistent as well. And honestly, I started viewing fiber like a shield bar in a video game. I heard this analogy once because when it's full, hunger does. and hit as hard when it's empty, suddenly I'm like going through the kitchen cabinets and such. With filming, editing, workouts, and days where I, you know, realize I sort of forgot to eat. Huell has become my backup plan for chaos and consistency when it comes to my macro plans. And normally what we have here is the black edition ready to drink because it's a complete meal and a bottle.
Starting point is 00:09:29 I can grab and go. Coy, drink the last bottle. Thanks, Coy. Now I'll use my own promo code to buy more. I'm really happy that I don't have any right now to do in this video. Anyway, what's great about them is they have 35 grams of protein. 7 grams of fiber, 27 essential vitamins and minerals, no artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors.
Starting point is 00:09:46 It's gluten-free. And under $5 per meal. You see, I brought these from home because when I want something more customizable, mixed with fruit or certain types of almond milk, I use their black addition powder. They've got 40 grams of protein. Same complete meal benefits. And I can shake water or blend it with ice, fruit, peanut butter, even.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Sometimes with yogurt. There's actually a good amount. of fiber in it too. What do you know? So with a limited time offer, you can get Huell today with my exclusive offer of 15% off online with my code rejects at Huel.com slash rejects. New customers only. Thank you, Huel, for partnering, supporting real rejects and for supporting my whole body, baby. But it was actually... I got scared. My eyes were watering in the beginning. I was like, uh-oh. I was a little... I was actually with I was with you because I was, I was appra. I was nervous because I was like, I don't know if this is it really going to like make me even laugh.
Starting point is 00:10:41 And then you were saying how you were nauseous. I was like, oh, man, I, I know of some like gags that happened. It's like, I don't really know if this is the way movie to watch today. If I threw up on camera, would you cut it up? Oh, no, that would be great. No! Oh, shit, I said that on camera. Of course I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:11:00 That would be horrible. I would have to cut it out. It's the idea that for branding, I have to look like I care about your feelings. be you know it's a business to run here if it's gonna get views for the views so as the movie progressed the movie was still getting like my experience
Starting point is 00:11:29 with this was like so many times a bit would happen I'm like oh I don't know about this and then something would just happen within the same bit most of the time that would just get me to laugh and then I would get on board well I also felt like they didn't link too long on any one bit. No.
Starting point is 00:11:45 You know? So even if something wasn't really your cup of tea, like if that, if the ghost, um, adult scene had gone on for a little longer, I would have been like, okay,
Starting point is 00:11:55 I get it. But it was just like the perfect amount where I was like, oh, it's still funny. Yeah. And the way Torrey's spelling, her acting in that moment. There's one thing I would say is like these, there's some really funny ass woman that are in these movies,
Starting point is 00:12:08 you know? Mm-hmm. And, uh, I don't really feel like back then there's, there was too many movies that actually had that because like really funny women yeah i mean i can't really think of it that also are like the that also i mean like that are the central characters and yeah because like anna feras carries all of these movies she this cannot work with i just don't i don't know it could never work if it wasn't anna ferris specifically i feel like she is seamlessly
Starting point is 00:12:35 funny and there's so many scenes like with little hand guy which is like so gross and weird at chris hell who you were obsessing about. It was like it was so gross, but what would make me laugh more than him was just her reactions to him that were making, never getting me. Or like the fight with the cat
Starting point is 00:12:53 was so fucking absurd. I didn't know what was going on, but she was unbelievably funny in that scene. That scene was maybe my favorite scene too. It's funny, it's funny to think about like Dan Levy maybe watching this movie and going, huh.
Starting point is 00:13:11 He would be a girl. great character in my Canadian TV show. I think he was not everybody loves Raymond as a reoccurring character. That's why I mean. Yeah, but Roland, I feel like the character of Roland has so much yucky, yucky, yucky stuff. You know, that he does? Well, I'll be honest with you. I've never seen an episode
Starting point is 00:13:28 of Shits Creek. Yeah. But everyone's like, Greg, you would love that show. Greg, you would adore. Everyone tells me, like, for my sensibilities, they're like, you would love the show. I've watched Schitt's Creek like five. I watch it every time I move. apartments or cities. And then every time I unpack, usually it's like a double. That sounds like a problem.
Starting point is 00:13:48 You're a problem. Every time I move. It's because it's comforting because they're uplifted out of their life and they're starting something new and so am I. And it's like we're there, we're buddies together. Oh, and then there's the feeling of I mean, how old were you when you first saw it?
Starting point is 00:14:04 Roughly. Oh, my. I was in college. Well, trained answer. Keep it mysterious. You don't want to reveal your age on camera. I was in college. Yeah. I'm 18.
Starting point is 00:14:17 We hired them really young here. People say it's still trying to get that rumor started. Problematic things around here. Okay, fine. I'm 17 and a half. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And I'm Greg.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Remember the name. This is how you run an operation around. I've learned from the best Twitch streamers out there Oh my God So yeah The what was Okay so outside of the opening
Starting point is 00:14:51 Exorcist bits What were like the grossest things to you Let's go over the gross list I don't like the Seaman jokes They're just not funny to me Wow Sorry
Starting point is 00:15:05 I don't know what that is though What? You don't know what it's semen is? What is that? It sounds like a You're stupid Like an occupation? You're stupid.
Starting point is 00:15:19 You're stupid. What about you, Greg? All the stuff with the weird white liquid is my favorite stuff. No. Whatever that is. I don't know. What is that? Like glue?
Starting point is 00:15:32 Like glue and milk? That's what he was like shooting on her right? Like glue and milk is so funny. I like the clown bit. Where's the big bingling? Yeah. Oh, I know. I did not like it.
Starting point is 00:15:48 I thought that was actually funny. I just don't want to see it. I don't want to see it. You sound just like my wife. I didn't like it. I didn't like it. And again, like any toilet, like any potty joke. There's a bit of out of things you just don't want to see that exist in this room.
Starting point is 00:16:10 I think, I think toot jokes are funny though. What jokes? Toot. What are toot? Like tooting. What's tooting? Like tooting. That doesn't help explain with tooting.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Like, jokes. Oh, you like fart jokes? You can I'm more with fart jokes? They're fine. So you can tolerate a fart joke.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah. You're too grossed out by the, by bodily fluids. By poop. Poop stuff definitely grosses me out more. I would say if I had to rank it, poop, number one,
Starting point is 00:16:40 vomit, and then a sticky milk. But you know what's weird? The Cindy litter box joke didn't gross me out, but the exorcist when she kept peeing and kept peeing that mate like i don't i don't know i started to imagine like what it smelled like and then i was like i'm gonna throw up on the ground yeah even like as a as a as a as a as a person who unfortunately has a male body oh i'm so sorry it is really hard to survive in society honestly and having four
Starting point is 00:17:08 weeks out of every month i'm gonna where nothing different happens to my body it's a real unfortunate process so even the sound of like urine hitting the toilet bowl because like some men or just like perfect straight in the center. I don't even like that sound. I, okay, actually, you know what? And I'm glad that you gave me a platform to talk about this. That's what we're here for. If you come into my house,
Starting point is 00:17:31 if you're at someone else's house, you should sit down when you pee. Wow. Even if you're a man. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay. What am I supposed to be, like,
Starting point is 00:17:41 expected to get all my knees and, like, clean because you peed all over it. Like, you're not making it every time. If you come to my house, sit down. It's just disrespectful is what it is Or if you really have to stand Then go get a chlorox wipe Clean up when you're done
Starting point is 00:17:57 The sides, the bull Under the seat, the lid Thank you Wow Wow Headphone mic Breaking equipment Drop
Starting point is 00:18:09 Noted Noted if I ever Go to your apartment I just want to use the bathroom Go outside And What else happens in this movie? Because we can't soon stay on track here.
Starting point is 00:18:28 I do like the I do like the first one just felt like a real movie to me. The first one had like a real great narrative structure. It was like fun. Yeah, that was like it was actually like plotted and well thought. To my understanding they did, they got the green light for this one and it was like rushed to get done. Like they made they expedited it and they were like, no, you have to do this.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Whereas like the first movie took several years to put together. And this one were like it was a head you got to do it right now. now and it kind of does feel that way it does a bit where it feels like a series of ideas that they just like strung together in an outline and then executed it and weirdly though it like somehow works it kind of yeah it kind of still works even without it being as seamless of a flow where it's like as an actual movie where this does feel like sketches strung together um it's like work done it still was the main point is like it's really funny and it was and i had a I have a surprise by how funny I thought it was.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Well, the character archetypes, like, because it was largely, like, the same characters and cast as the first one, like, they were so well thought out that kind of, and they're all so, so, so different. So it's still extremely captivating to watch, regardless of the plot being kind of, you know, simple. True.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Yeah. True. I mean, usually the character, I think in the first movie, the character dynamics and, like, the tropes of each character and who they were specifically parodying was more clear, where this was more like go after a movie or go after a genre. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:54 And then even with, and then sometimes they just let things carry over like Shorty loves to smoke pot. Ray is secretly gay. Like things like that. You can't get rid of those jokes. You can't get rid of those jokes. You have to keep those. The gay Ray jokes are pretty funny. Gay.
Starting point is 00:20:09 It did dawn on me when he was like, oh yeah. That's what it is. Gay Ray. I'm surprised you haven't seen the Charlie's Angels movies. I know. Those are so good. Well, the first one is. The second one was not.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Drew Barrymore. Drew Barrymore? Charlie, not sure. Cameron Diaz. Cameron Diaz. And Lucy Lou? Lucy Lou. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:20:31 The first one? I was that. I was like a boy who was obsessed with like Charles Angels and Britney Spears and I was like 10 years old. I was called gay. I'm going to get canceled. Oh, you won't. Everyone agrees with it. For saying the truth.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Yeah. Anyway, we watched Scary Movie 2. We did it. And it was funny. So thank you for encouraging this. Jackie, you stayed strong. Thank you. Appreciate you, kiddo.
Starting point is 00:21:00 I didn't throw up. You didn't throw up and you kept your eyes primarily open. I don't know if I get flowers for that because I... No, no, you did good, man. You did good. It was a gross time. All right, guys. I'll see you soon.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Peace out, Rejects. Bye.
