Starting point is 00:01:20 Being of things we want more of, Chuckie, let's go. Let's do it. That movie. was on crack. Yeah. Yeah, that was wild. Like that movie was actually the closest movie to doing crack I've ever done. Like that was, all right, all right.
Starting point is 00:01:44 Before we tell them, if you are on Apple, Spotify, wherever you are, five star, please leave a review. Let us know that you're liking us. Comment on this video. Again, let us know about merch, about this. Should we keep going with the Chucky franchise? this point I'm pretty sure we're going to make our way all the way through but you guys want us to do the TV series too like what are you guys thinking please tell all we especially
Starting point is 00:02:08 Tara and I we read all the comments yeah we're seeing what you guys have to say uh and we really appreciate it holy crap seed of Chuckie love you that was I mean Tara talked to me like that was wild like what just happened if you were to describe this movie to somebody else what would you say happened in this movie oh god great question the kid the kid oh man it's it's a story about a kid finding themselves through murder with their murderous mom and dad who are trying to get clean and one makes it into trying to get clean and one makes it into a human body thank god it's Jennifer Tilly's body and chucky is still chucking it out in the world being Chuckie. Like with maybe with not one arm or obviously in every movie he's always put back
Starting point is 00:03:04 together again. No, he's cut, cut, cut, cut. I know, but I have a feeling if there's another movie, he's going to just be sewn all back together or he he sewed himself back with negative one arm and sent that to his, to his boy, to his boy slash girl. I don't know how to describe this movie. It's crazy. Like, okay, so if we're going to act. get into like the logistics of what happened yeah here's a couple things that kept me prevented me from diving in immediately and once i said to myself roxy who gives a shit just enjoy the movie right then it took off me but what happens at first in my mind i'm like okay so you're telling me what i'm supposed to assume then is that at the site of the cemetery burnt to a crisp chucky and the
Starting point is 00:03:56 bride of Chucky. Right. Then instead of just for the new movie they were shooting, instead of recreating these animatronics, they took the burnt ones, found them, and brought them there. Right. That had them in their body still. And then, like, or was it just when he does the spell and says, like, breathe or whatever, the kid that they came into these bodies, but those weren't those, the same
Starting point is 00:04:19 bodies. The same burnt ones. No idea. Yeah. Also, the Jennifer Tilly Choice was so wild. Like, I've never seen a movie do. that what they were saying was in the last one that was that was gen a character having to be played by jennifer tilly but we're not going to touch on that right that voice went into the
Starting point is 00:04:37 bride's body however Jennifer tilly the actress is in this movie as jennifer tilly exactly that's still alive mind blow and then finally i was just like yep that's right they did it so they did it and more power to them the confidence of this movie to be like we don't actually give a fuck what you think. Yeah. We don't care all. This is the story we want to tell. This is weird.
Starting point is 00:05:00 And this is what happens. When your parents are messed up, you pass that shit down to your kids. You pass it down, man. Yeah. I mean, especially when he, when, when they were like, I need to choose Glenn, Glenda. I thought it was like when he was like, stop it. You're killing me or whatever he, she said, they said. it was such an atypical response of a kid speaking to his parents who were going through
Starting point is 00:05:28 like a divorce, right? Completely like the peeing himself, the eye twitching, where it's like arguing parents and you don't know what they want and what you should do and how to get between it and whatever. Like this was so, so interesting to watch. I'm not exactly sure with the whole he, she aspect of it because it wasn't trying to say that this person was non-binary. They were saying sometimes he feels like he
Starting point is 00:05:55 and sometimes she feels like a she. Right. So it's like I liked that because it didn't feel like they were trying to really make a commentary on our world as much with that. As much as just like, that's the effed up crazy shit that's going on here. Exactly. Which I like.
Starting point is 00:06:09 And then I guess, you know, he chose to be a boy at the end because Glenn Glenda could make the choice, right? To go into... No, he didn't choose. He didn't choose? There were two babies, the twins. The girl outside with the red hair was Glenda.
Starting point is 00:06:23 No, I know, but I'm saying, oh, do we think he split? Yeah. Oh. I think. Wild. Okay. And the good parts of him went boy and the bad parts from girl. Girl.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I love that. I don't know why my brain didn't click with that because she was obviously being called Glenda and she did look freaking spooky as all get up. Spooky A.F. The boy didn't look that spooky. I love that he's still his eye twitch and the peeing themselves. Like that poor Glenn Glenda was stressed out. That was a stressed doll.
Starting point is 00:06:58 The story of this is so unique that fans at the time, so this came out in 2004, they must have lost their goddamn minds. Yeah. Like if you are a fan of Chuckie to see how far this franchise comes every movie where it's like they swing for the fences. They do. There is no version of this that just rests on the OG Chuckie.
Starting point is 00:07:20 and it's like, yeah, we're just going to tell a story about a killer doll. Right. Every time they're like, but what if we did something absolutely wild? Wild. Like, to me, I don't understand why this isn't talked about as one of the best horror franchises ever. Yeah. Because they reinvent themselves every time.
Starting point is 00:07:38 And he goes from being scampy to so dark and creepy. Like introducing the bribe truck. He's the smartest thing they could have done. Jennifer Tilly is truly a star. Every single movie you can expect something different. This franchise, to me, it has not missed yet. I agree. And there's also an emotional aspect to it too.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Like when she goes, come here, sweet face, and she gives Glenn, Glenda, a hug for the first time. When you see it in their face when hugging mom, it's a very like, I was like, oh, that's kind of emotional if you've been wanting, you've been missing your mom, you've been through a hell of a life. you were kept as like a slave with this weird guy and now you you reach out to reach out to your parents and you do actually get the love that you are seeking in that moment I thought that was real sweet like I actually felt for the kid in that moment and then I also felt for the kid
Starting point is 00:08:36 in the moment when you know he was kind of crying over like or when he said like who am I but also when he was crying sort of at the end like he gets emotional or they get emotional um And I really like that. I like that a lot. And you could see, I also really liked how you could see in Jennifer Tilly's character when she becomes, when the bride of Chucky goes into Jennifer and Jennifer at the end, Jennifer becomes this mom who's like, doesn't care about her career. She cares about her children.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Even, even to the point where it's like, she kills that lady because the lady doesn't like her kids. They're wild. I like that he, the parts where. it's almost like not an adopted kid but I guess like an orphan or a foster kid of some sort or something where he's like the only thing I know about me is made in Japan so he makes an entire identity around that he's like I'm going to learn Japanese totally like this is what I know about myself yeah I like dreaming of my parents I bet there were some lovely people and then he's like
Starting point is 00:09:43 made in Japan like what is the first things he says to them like Ocassan, Ocassan or like, just to me that was so truthful to when you are a kid who does not know where you come from. You make assumptions. And like we see that
Starting point is 00:10:00 all the time in life in other movies where it's just like you grasp on to anything you can. Yeah. Anything. Agreed. That was so smart. All right,
Starting point is 00:10:09 let me look up some things about this. I just am blown, blown away by this movie. I am too. And specifically the shots in this movie. were phenomenal. The way that it was lit, and I know I was like, it doesn't lightening
Starting point is 00:10:22 that much in L.A., but I loved it. Like, the aspect of when the lightning was going on, plus the lighting and the sound effects are great.
Starting point is 00:10:30 I mean, from the top, you guys heard me, I'm like, the breathing of Glenn, Glenda, I didn't want it, but also special effects, team, Bravo. The makeup on all the kills,
Starting point is 00:10:41 acid face, the intestines coming out, when you open bride of Chucky and you see her inside, It looked great. The makeup and the special effects of the movie were really solid. But specifically, the shots from the beginning to the end,
Starting point is 00:10:57 it wasn't just a call out of like, that's a dope shot, that's a dope shot. It was throughout it. It was really beautifully shot. From beginning to end. Even just with Santa and the snow falling, like they put a lot of effort into the environment, how it was going to feel when it's being shot. And I appreciate that because that takes a lot of work. Let me talk to you about something you want to know about.
Starting point is 00:11:17 All right, let's do it. The TV spots for this movie displays an unusual disclaimer. Britney Spears does not appear in this movie. That is a lookalike. Who is her twin? This disclaimer was inserted into TV spots because Brittany's management was concerned that people might be led to believe that Brittany actually appears in the movie. It is not her in the movie, but a look alike.
Starting point is 00:11:40 But it'll look like. I wonder if Brittany was like, you have to pay me for my likeness. I wonder if that's how that. I mean, it wouldn't be heard. the time it would have been a conservator so right oh right oh right easy okay as of 2022 this is the only child's play chucky film that contains nudity ha ha ha ha the old boobage quintin tarentino was offered the role that redmond later played of the role was originally written in mind for him yeah i got to know more about redmond because that would have been the whole time i was like there's
Starting point is 00:12:13 something up with this i know okay so redmond's actually redmond yeah and is he actually rapper? He's an American rapper, DJ. That's what I thought. I was like, there was a famous person name. Okay. He was also in How High, Fast and Furious, played two. Oh, he's been, he's been in a lot. You got to know some of his music. You guys, that would have been amazing if it was Quentin Tarantino. I love that they wrote a role for him and Quentin was like, I'm good, I guess. They wrote the role for John Waters too, apparently. Okay. Um, okay, do you know any of these songs? Oh, this is dirty. Isn't that the Christina Aguilera song? Is he on that? I don't know. Yeah, it's Christina and Redman.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Woo! Reject Nation, I am here to talk to you today about something that I value very much, and I hope you will learn to value it too. And if you already do, then I got an amazing recommendation for all of you. Now, many of you guys have been so kind to notice that Sir Gregory over here has been getting a little bit of a better shape as a late in the past year. or so. I mean, I'm just looking. Everybody loves the guy who flexes on camera. No one finds that annoying or like they're trying to get attention. I'm only doing it to make a point that I've been taking health and fitness quite serious, mainly because I really like to feel more energetic in a more natural way, helps me focus. I just feel better overall. And one thing I've really noticed that
Starting point is 00:13:41 is very, very important to me is proper hydration. Sometimes you might just casually see me sipping on one of these. No big deal. But sometimes I don't want to just like fill my body up with so much water before getting on camera and getting some of that water bloat or whatever that might occur. And it's also important to get electrolytes after sweating a bunch because if there's one thing I notice is that after I exercise, do I feel a high from it? Absolutely. But if I don't replenish my body properly afterwards, I slowly get drained. I feel more foggy minded. I feel more fatigue. And that's why this is something I've already been using and I am so happy to be part with them. It is Liquid IV. I've only got three packets left. I need to order more. And what's so
Starting point is 00:14:23 great about it is that after using these, I always feel way more refreshed. I feel like I feel more focused. Sometimes I might get a little bit of a head pain. It helps relieve a lot of that. And it's more than just working out. Sometimes you might just be really tired or have an exhaustive day. Like, for example, sometimes we're working all day. Then we got to shoot a show at midnight or something like that. And I need energy. I need to be live on camera. And I usually take a hydration formula, and liquid IV is a very, very reliable one. So while drinking water is, of course, very important, liquid IV can provide the same hydration as drinking two to three bottles of water. That's like efficient. They, of course, packed with a lot of essential vitamins. They're
Starting point is 00:15:01 vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free. You can customize the water amount to your taste. They have a lot of options. And the reason I love this one is because throughout the week, I usually have a no-sugar-added diet. And this one right here, it's sugar-free. So it's perfect for me. So yes, it's great for post-night recovery, traveling, maybe having a big night out after, you know, so if you want to improve your endurance, you want to improve your overall well-being, you want to be hydrated. It is extremely important to vitality. So to boost your hydration and also boost support for the channel, would love to stay sponsored with these guys. Considering that we do use these products and we really voucher them, and really do think you would benefit from them,
Starting point is 00:15:38 you can go to Liquidiv.com and use promo code rejects. Once again, that's Liquidiv.com promo code rejects. Remember, it's not a real IV, but it sure feels like it. That's comedy gold. I love me, Simaglia. You too dirty to clean your act up. That must be Redmond. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Gentlemen. Okay, I'll be dat. Let's see if we know this song. Yo, you know simsima, who got the key to my beamer. What? I don't already off the fast. I know this song, too. You do?
Starting point is 00:16:17 Yes. I'm like, off the bat, I don't know it. Yes, okay. What about, do you know? I don't know a lot of raps. Do you know, uh, do Rock Wilder? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Okay, well, I think that's. Sneezing it up. Wait, do you have any more fun trivia on there? All right. Let me tell you. About Chuckie, see, to Chuckie. She's got to look up some trivia guys. You guys got to let us know, though, too.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Like, what was your favorite parts about this? What did you love about it? Um, and also, yeah, what's, what's, coming up for us. Well, don't spoil anything. Don't tell us, but like... Don't tell. This is a 4.9 out of 10 on IMDB. That's disgusting. What are you? That's all a bad taste. Come on, man. That's ridiculous. That should have been a lot, a lot higher than that with the way that it's shot. Only movie in the franchise that Chucky does not use his good guy doll voice. That's interesting. Okay. Okay. The gender confused child of Chuckie and Tiffany is either named Glenn or Glenda by his parents. Glenn or Glenn or Glenda, 1953.
Starting point is 00:17:15 was Edward D. Wood Jr.'s film in which Wood would himself betrayed the cross-dresser known as Glenn or Glenda. Oh, awesome. So that was a callback we didn't know. To 1953 movie. Okay. The wife of the man Tiffany calls to apologize to is the widow of the cop she killed at the beginning of bride of Chuckie. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Yes. All right. Got it. Good to know. Cool. Okay. let's see the last of the original Chucky movies
Starting point is 00:17:50 to be released in theaters wow as the sequels Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky in 2013 and 2017 went straight to VOD until the release of the remake Child's Play in 2019 So Childs Play in 2019 came back to the big screen Yes Interrect so wait that means we have three more
Starting point is 00:18:10 Plus the series if we do it You guys Stoked. That is exciting for sure. That's very exciting. Openly gay director, Don Mancini, wrote all of the films. Wow. Stated that Glenn's sexually confused character was a metaphor for his own coming out.
Starting point is 00:18:28 I love that. I love that because, you know. But was he sexually confused? I don't know. Maybe him being coming out as gay, he might have been younger and going like, well, I like girls. But I also like guys, but then maybe realizing he was more sexually attracted to guys and was like, girls are cool, but I can't get it up for him. Maybe, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:53 This isn't listed as a trivia, but I'm just looking into Don Mancini to see. And it looks like Don Mancini, like it just said, wrote all of them. But in terms of directing, it looks like this is the first one he directed. Indeed of Chucky. And then he goes on to direct after Seed of Chucky. He directs Curse of Chucky, Cult of Chucky, and the TV series. but this looks like his first direction which I think he did an amazing job.
Starting point is 00:19:17 You did a really great, great job and I assume in writing all of these and watching four more that came before, you learn so much just being on set and writing for these that if he had never directed before, that shows you enough that you're like, when you have a good team and you trust in your gaffers and your DP,
Starting point is 00:19:36 you don't need to have directed a million other things that you can still make something that looks like this because it's in your heart, too, We wrote this. Yeah, totally. He, like, when you're writing it, you're seeing it, too. Can we talk about something? So I think that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:19:48 I need to tell you something else. Let's go. This is 34% on Rotten Tomatoes from the critics. What? Oh, come. And a 43% audience score. This is, you guys, whoever is going to these movies and rating it that low, I feel like they're going into it fresh and you haven't watched the ones before because this movie,
Starting point is 00:20:09 these movies are made to have to be. fun and like kind of lightheart even though I get it there's like murder and all that but give me a break i mean it looks great but also it's a it's a camaraderie like when you go to see chucky you're there for the franchise not just like this better be a great movie like give me a break 43% is does not do it for me okay but i'm not even messing with you terra like to what you just said i actually think this was a great movie yeah i thought it was very original and like made it its own and unique and to be a fifth movie in a franchise and still keep us on our toes and get us excited the whole way. That to me is a great movie. Yeah. It was really, really fun and
Starting point is 00:20:52 enjoyable with great performances. And Jennifer Tilley is an absolute star. She's great. She's great. And I think that the fun and the enjoyment is what people go to with the Chucky franchise. So it's like, if you're going there and rated at 43%, it means you are a non-fund person. Guaranteed. You need to get out of the feeder like no well they might need to get out of the theater but we need to get out of this reaction we do so uh if you want the scream queens that's us the horror horse didn't have to look we did a little bit twice if you want us to be doing more of these also if you're like it yeah hell yeah if you're liking our chucky stuff we're also right now doing uh nightmare on elm street and we previously did on it park ah what
Starting point is 00:21:41 Why does it always work on me? I saved it until you. I legitimately got scared. Oh, this is just, I'm hopeless. That's why you stay till the end of the reactions, baby. You stay, baby. Well, we'll see you next time, Rejects. We love you.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Bye.
