On June 18, 23, Ocean Gate's Titan submersible imploded during an expedition dive to the Titanic,
killing all five on board, including Ocean Gate founder and CEO Stockton Rush.
Numerous industry experts and employees from within Ocean Gate itself had warned Rush of impending doom,
citing safety concerns and a lack of testing.
His hubris, ego, and reckless desire for innovation over all else cost him his life and that of four others.
The catastrophic destruction of the Titan submersible sent shockwaves through the ocean exploration industry that are still being felt today.
The Ocean Gate Titan Submersible, a preventable tragedy, a two-part series available now on shipwrecks and sea dogs.

I'm going to go to John first.
Yes.
They shot this in both Reno and San Francisco, which by nowadays standards is kind of crazy.
sorry the credits are still rolling
I'm feeling joyous
I feel so lovely right now
I help you out
no don't help me out
let him go
let me be a little
oh okay
I like that the credits are rolling
because you get tidbits like that
you get tidbits like that
yeah
and you get the little tag at the end
no I had a blast with this
yeah like I said I haven't
this is like a fresh viewing experience
my grandma used to put this movie on
so I have like you know vague flashes of it
my random access memory
but uh you can go to the thing
this was yeah this was just like
such a well done movie
like at top to bottom i thought it was like
really well written really well acted
really well paced and
assembled and you know the stuff
that it has like a really fun
contrast because yeah you start in this
you know very
uh you know glitzy very secular
world of the casino and all that
stuff and you have harvey kiteel who
you know is game and
thankfully so because you know you got to sell
the mob stuff just enough
but also you know
have it be the uplifting heartwarming
story that it is you can't have like
too much grittiness and too much peril
and I thought it found like a really nice
blend of those things because I'll get lost in the stuff
at the convent and then the harsh
reality cuts back in and I think that's a
good way to make that stuff effective
because you're like oh shit that's right
like you know this situation is
temporary is temporary or at least
is, you know, precarious.
But yeah, it's such a lovely,
naturally progressing story
of someone finding purpose and community.
And I love to, like, I, you know,
growing up
with the church, I guess,
you know, kind of sets you up for,
depending on your experience, a certain amount of
either great devotion
or sort of, you know,
straying from that after a while.
But I've come to really appreciate
stuff like this where it's like this is a movie
that involves church and
spirituality to some extent and like
the more tangible
things that those have to offer
like not to say that like faith based stuff
that that is like preachier
for lack of a better word is bad
but I really like
something like this that like has a religious
component but it's not really like telling
you that that's the point
and so it really is about her going
to this place and being both
improved by the situation
around her and the people around her
doing more in the community
like it's all the stuff that religion is actually
for is kind of on display in this
it's you know communal
you know spiritual it's acts of
service it's all sorts of things and yeah
she finds a place where she can really
bring her gifts and make them shine
and like by the end I had tears
in my eyes of joy because like that last
scene or the performer for the Pope I was like this is so lovely
like this is after all the
you know fun in games and hijinks
in peril like it ends off
in such a sweet, lovely place
that never feels cloying or
you know, hackneyed.
This is fantastic. This is
like an all-timer. This is a banger.
This is a great, great movie. Like, no notes.
Practically no notes.
They agree. Terra, how you feeling?
Super fun. No movie needs
to be a million hours. They keep it short
and sweet and they get to the point.
You have fun. They balance comedy, but
also underneath the show that, like,
community is, like, needed.
Like, that love that she ends up,
being surrounded by and that the nuns like feel once they go out into the world is like it's kind of
reminder i guess for all of us it's like a village always makes you a bit stronger which i like um but i also
really like that they balance the comedy between like when she sits down and they go to kill her
and she's just like she's just like she's just there and then she goes i forgive you vint and willie or
whatever their names are and she says it not deadpan but she's just really like almost not scared
And I know it flips a little bit to where she's like, it's a little bit of fake tears.
But the bounces there where it's like she's been with the nuns long enough where she's learned.
And I like that.
And I was like, that's good writing.
So this movie, 10 out of 10.
Yeah.
I really, really enjoyed it way more than I expected to because it was not.
They found a good balance of making it a movie about this woman going to the Catholic Church without making it super pre.
It's not Catholic.
Oh, it's not Catholic?
No, no, they make a point of taking a shot at the Catholics.
Gotcha, gotcha, okay.
Well, bringing her to the church.
Yeah, yeah.
So, you know, bring her into the church without making it super preachy and trying to be like,
everybody needs to be a Christian.
It's more about the experience of community and love and then uplifting the people around
you more than it is condemnation, which there's a divide and, you know,
the perception of Christianity at this point in America.
But that's neither here nor there.
This movie is really about somebody changing and being willing to embrace something new
and finding comfort in the fact that there are people that you can help.
And you help your community, help each other.
And, yeah, change as a result of it.
I feel like it did a really great job of having the comedy in there that didn't feel
feel forced but was very
organic and lighthearted. It's just a
feel good movie. And
Whoopi Goldberg, I haven't seen a ton of her work
as an actress, but I feel like she did a really great job
of showing that she was a star
for a reason in the 90s. Magnetic,
yeah, 100%. Yeah, I wholly
loved her for it and I'm
excited to watch, you know, the second one
if we get the chance to do that. So like, share,
comment all the things when
this video comes out
and yeah, spread the joy
as this movie did to us.
us. So without further ado, we're going to spread some of that joy over to our patrons as they
shed it back to us. And let's get it started. Fellow reject, why is it so hard to get carried away
with food and so hard to stay consistent? Last year, I made a whole big deal about wanting to get
into the best shape of my life just so I could get photos I've always dreamed of. I don't know why
I had that dream, but I had it because I'm a man. So the past few months after those photos,
I loosened up, maybe a little too much. So now I'm back to training regularly, tracking what
I'm putting in my body and focusing on energy, clarity, and overall health. So if I'm going to be
consistent in 2026, I need something easy to keep track of, high in the right macros, and actually
satisfying, i.e. These bottles before me, that's where a Hewell Black Edition really comes in handy.
When I'm running out the door, a post-workout, or I'm stuck here for many hours of the day,
I grab a ready-to-drink, an RTD for short. It's a complete meal in a bottle, 35 grams of
protein, 27 essential vitamins and minerals, no artificial sweeteners, gluten-free, under five bucks
and keeps me full for hours.
I'll pull them in the chocolate peanut butter one because while they have a bunch of great
flavors, this is undoubtedly the favorite around the office here.
It's quite competitive to get this bottle.
But another one that I take pretty much every single day, the Hewled Daily Greens.
I'm always on the lookout for like a good tasty daily greens.
I kid you not, this is undoubtedly my favorite Hewle.
You did really good on this one.
And when I've got more time, I'll use the blacklist.
addition powder. I can mix it with some fruit or even some hydration powder. Same complete nutrition,
high protein, but I can build however I want. Got a whole bunch of powders right there in that kitchen
over there. So yeah, the RTD for speed, though, power for control. RTD. I like the way that sounds.
It's like RDJ, but it's not RTD. But if you're locking back in, this combo makes consistency
very simple. And I am all about simplicity and efficiency. So, Reject Nation, if you're looking at your

do you think sister act works better as a comedy
about fitting in or a story about
community can change people in unexpected ways.
Yes.
It's both.
It's absolutely 100% of both.
Yeah, totally.
Yeah.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Yeah, it is about both.
But I feel like, if I had to pick between them to, I feel like it's more about how community can change people in unexpected ways.
But yeah, fitting in for sure.
You know, I think that's a good point because the thing about this, the thing that's really cool to me about this is that this is like a really good concept.
Like, this is a concept you could sell a thousand times.
in any generation, I feel like.
Yeah.
And the fact that this doesn't,
like, I love comedy, so I'm not going to say it that way.
But like the fact that I think you are right.
Like, it's slightly, it's definitely both,
but I think it has this lasting effect
because it is slightly maybe a little bit more
about how community can change people in unexpected ways.
And because of that, it's, it's,
what am I trying to say?
It's like if you can make this,
you can make a lot of versions,
of this that are cute but not always would it come out being like what this experience was to me anyway which is like it has all the cute and the fun stuff but it's got like the right amount of weight and the right amount of thoughtfulness and everything like unfolds like it would in a more dramatic movie rather than in a comedic movie but it still really naturally finds comedy all throughout so yeah like i can imagine like a much wackier you know version of this a much more
sort of slight and we're just going for the joke version of this but this yeah it was like a film yeah
wholeheartedly agree i feel like it was a very beautiful thing watching how she was able to
allow these nuns to live a little and and explore the fun within their faith while them also giving
her a sense of foundation and a sense of community that she didn't have prior in her life she was
involved with a gangster where she was the mistress and she was like living this this career in
in Reno and maybe maybe she was happy maybe she we wasn't we didn't really get a whole
lot of info into her her life prior to joining but you can definitely see that she had heavy
resistance towards doing so and it was interesting getting that little tidbit in the beginning to
kind of show that she had a history of you know maybe some trouble within the church we didn't
get a ton of information in that regard but I think it was nice to get a little bit of context going
into it maybe we'll get more in the second movie but yeah I feel like it was awesome
getting to see how them finally being able to embrace not only the community within their church,
but the community within their neighborhood and how they were able to change and influence each other.
There was art on the walls and the churches.
Everyone was coming in because they loved the music.
And yeah, I feel like it really highlighted the reasons why some people may be drawn to, you know, the church as opposed to, you know, some things that are the guise of it now, at least in some communities.
But yeah, Terry, do you have anything to add?
I agree.
All right.
Let's go on the next question.
Do anyone want to take it away?
Maurice Gray Jr.
Thank you for chiming in.
Maurice.
Who is your favorite nun?
Mine was Sister Mary Robert.
It cracks me up that they assign such a powerful voice to such a meek and shy character.
That's, you know, I feel like that's a classic trope.
But yeah, who is your guy's favorite?
None.
Tara, you love nuns.
Sister Mary Robert, obviously.
Obviously, a Goosebaum City, every time she sang, especially when she opened up, I was like, dang, I wonder what her audition was like.
Because at first, initially, you probably have to come in and sing, and then they're like, cool, what's your scene going to be?
It's going to be, you be very, very meek, and she did a great job.
I loved it.
On no pain.
Yeah, very, Mary Robert provided a lot of heart, and I think that the contrast of how powerful her voice is with how small her parents and stature is was, yeah, was very satisfying.
watch and yeah she definitely provided something that was maybe not necessarily what I would
think of when I think of nuns but definitely a welcome surprise nonetheless kind of in a weird way
I was having a conversation about a friend with a friend about this last night about like I don't
know if you guys have seen avatar the last airbender but how there's a character who is associated
with bending earth who is a small blind little girl and earth is typically associated
was something that's like very powerful.
So in a similar sense, this is something sort of akin to that, you know,
this small meat girl having this grandiose, powerful voice,
I think makes her more interesting and more endearing.
So, yeah.
Shouts out to, yeah, shouts out.
I got a huge kick out of Sister Mary Lazarus.
I thought she was great.
The one who was leading the choir who was initially like,
I'm tough as nails and I'll like you.
And then pretty soon they're like working together.
I thought she was fantastic.
And shouts out to
The keyboard isn't working right now
But shouts out to Kathy Nijmi Nunn as well
Because she was just adorable
Her big squee energy
Was just so much fun to watch
Very plucky and delightful and happy
Without a keyboard
There's so much you cannot do
And also I mean Maggie Smith
Holding it down like Mother Superior
She was fantastic
Sister Mary Patrick
There you go that was Kathy and Jimmy
But yeah I guess
I mean it's hard to
to argue with sister like their sister berry roberts great but uh but yeah i'm going las
is maggie smith still alive i think we just lost her recently really yeah i p maggie smith such a i mean
such a great talent and too i mean she's she's acted for so long yeah and you know to be in a
movie like you know a lot of our generation and and you know folks know her as an older you know
actor uh you know but uh the fact that yeah she just showed the heck up you know even in a movie like
this is great. Yeah. All right.
Joe Burns, I love revisiting these types of family-friendly, non-fantasy, non-animated
PG films from my youth that may have adultist themes. I can't think of any from the past
five years. Do you guys think they will ever come back? I would love for them to come back.
It's a very like 90s vibe. Yeah. I mean, I feel like it's very different in the way they're
presented, but I feel like we still have them in some regard. Like, I just watched Utopia
too recently, and that's hell of adult themes in that movie.
movie. I'm like, yo, this movie's like, woke
as hell. I love it.
But he said non- Fantasy, non-animity.
But I'm with you. I'm with you.
But he said parameters, okay?
And Joe, and he's a patron
and he deserves that you stay within those
parameters. You're right. Within the parameters, within the box.
Jesus Christ.
John, do you have any ideas in mine, man?
I don't know.
I was listening to a video recently
about, there's all sorts of discussion
now about why and how movies
feel different and yeah
I do miss this
I think this is a kind of movie that does not
get made very much anymore because
it is
they used to make this stuff all the time
and you used to have yeah opportunities
where you could have a movie like this where yeah
like it has
pulp elements and
stuff but it's all that it needs to be
and like the rating like a lot of times I think
you know you see PG you're like oh it's for kids
but like this is a movie this for everybody
and it's not
kidding
movie but a kid could watch it. It's not too
adult but it's also fun for
an adult mind
and I feel like we don't do that
so much now
we don't, it's weird, I don't know
and too I mean you're also looking at something
that was shot on film and that has a whole part
of this conversation. Nowadays this would be
made as an independent film like 824
would have to like take it and it wouldn't be
watched a lot or probably not 824
but it would be an indie and it
might not get a lot of views. It would not be a
touchdowns picture released in
theaters, right? Nowadays,
I feel like that's where it would go.
Well, and yeah, it's that thing where, like,
two, it probably wouldn't have the cast that
this has and things like that.
It's weird. I'm sure they exist,
but I do miss this feeling
and how movies like this feel, because, yeah, it does
feel like a rarity now.
Like a PG-13 that is
sorry, a PG movie that, yeah,
just is about
life.
I've won. Yeah, what we got?
It's a movie I saw a couple years ago, and I can't remember if it's PG.
I hope it's PG-13.
What is it?
Tell him.
It was called Jules.
It was about Ben Kingsley playing those old man with dementia.
J-U-L-E-S, by the way.
Yeah.
And he, yeah, has an alien ship crashing his yard, and his daughter is trying to get him to treat
his life better.
Nobody believes that there's an alien ship in his yard, that he's taking care of this alien
because he has dementia.
and it's a very sweet heartwarming movie
And yeah
I don't know it's an indie film
But I don't know if there's anything like
Mature Cussing or anything in it
But I feel like that's a movie like that
It's sci-fi, mind
It's not in the parameters
That's all right, that's all right
But hey I think
He gave you a good pick
Thank you
I yeah I think there should be more movies like that
Because I feel like executives
And stuff typically with larger releases
Typically we want something that's gonna just like
grab your attention and I already watched this thing recently about how movies today and streaming
movies do this thing where they have characters like reiterate the plot multiple times because
everyone's on their phone and stuff so it'd be harder to have just like an organic film of this nature
today it's hard to make something thoughtful because you get to pay attention to that yeah your
script will not get approved if it's not second screen written like this is such like yeah
they're watching their end on their phone I feel like we we air now more to
the side of like it's got to be high concept it's got to be big spectic there's that yeah thing that's
happening right now where it's like it's got to be big and expensive to get people to go or it has to be
low budget and have a really crazy concept or something like that and there's stuff in between but
like stuff like this that is both high concept but also very thoughtful and also just like a natural
human story just like the way this movie behaves the way she unfolds into the the way she both
resists and opens up
to convent life is like way
natural in this movie in a way that I feel
like would much more feel like a beat
sheet in a modern movie.
You don't feel like the script structure
nerdery as much
in something like this. So I don't know.
This is not getting you the recommendations
that you're looking for. It's mostly just getting a sort
of, yeah, how and why do we not get this
anymore? These kinds of experiences.
It makes me sad. It does. Makes me
sad too. All right. Let's go
to the fun section.
All right, Janguin, I grew up on this movie, thanks to my grandparents, so did John.
See, that's, grandma's love this movie.
Clearly.
And my grandma, a good taste, man.
And to this day, I still find myself singing these lounge songs that Mary Clarence essentially remixed in the gospel.
Are there any songs on your playlist you think could be turned into gospel?
Well, you sang a couple.
I did.
I don't remember what they are, but he did.
And the, editor's got to go back and now.
added it in as our answer.
Because I choose what he's saying.
I just be saying shit sometimes.
What did I sing?
Pull up to Spotify.
Yeah, there's a couple songs.
See what I should be listening to here.
Yeah.
There are so many songs.
Come be the man I need.
Except you're like, come be the God.
No, because God is already there, but maybe.
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me.
Come be the God I need.
There we go.
There we go.
There we go.
Okay.
There we go.
You're welcome.
It's really hard, man.
Come be the Lord I need.
I would take Will Smith's pretty girls and make it about pretty nuns.
I love it.
I like pretty nuns.
Oh my God.
That's so dumb and so great.
It don't matter about your denomination.
That's great.
I'm trying to think of other classics songs.
I'm trying to be authentic.
about this but oh my goodness that's a good one terrah i really like this this is the
talk to me talk to me god this is the type of question that i receive and then immediately my brain
like goes what yeah and then in 10 minutes i'll have like a bunch of ideas floating back down
that i'll be like oh it's these um totally yeah i'm like what do i've been listening to it'll come
to you i'm going to read the next question do it terra Nikki sunrise this movie is one of my
favorite Whoopi Goldberg performances, the way
she bounces the comedy of the more serious moments
stand out to me. Question.
What was or
were your favorite songs or songs from the movie?
I will follow him as a standout for me and
always gives me chills. I am totally
with like literally you could hear me at the end
there, Nikki, when Mary starts
open it up, oh,
goose bump
city. I loved it.
Like, I love her voice. I would buy a
record of hers. Like, she's got the
She's just so good.
Absolutely.
I think that first remakes they did was the one that stands out for me.
Because I was like, okay, this is fun.
This is a clever, clever spin on it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Uh-huh, yeah.
Oh, man.
That first time they really bring it together and you're in that church, the first time you see them perform.
And everyone's like, oh, snap.
And it goes from like a nice traditional choir routine into the clap.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and you start to see everybody finding their role in the choir.
Like, I thought that was a really lovely, you know, musical sequence there.
I mean, the my god, yeah, flip is rad.
It's a great goal.
This is very fun.
I mean, yeah, it's all just hit me in this viewing.
So, you know, on a second viewing, I could probably give you a more thoughtful answer.
But, and I mean, yeah, like the I will follow him is terrific.
So it's hard to pick a clung.
her, so to
speak.
And I just had a song, but
oh, I'll do Feist,
My Moon, My Man.
My Lord, my God.
Okay.
Such a lovable God
to me, or something like,
such a lovable lamb to me.
There we go.
Wow.
Now we're getting the religious...
He's got it.
He found it.
I don't know why that song, but we'll do that.
Anyway.
He added in Lamb.
I think we should move on.
And yeah, who he does balance
the comedy and the series
tremendously. The only song I can think of
is, uh, it would be
Dear Theodosia from Hamilton.
Let's do it.
Dear.
My Jehovah.
How I praise for you.
This is America, but it's, this is Christianity.
Secular life was never quite my style.
All right.
Anyway, all right. We're going to go on to the next question.
You guys, John, take it away.
All right, care bear.
let's do this thing.
Though, 70s and 80s movies starred
POC stand-ups like Richard Pryor
or Eddie Murphy,
Sister Act is one of the first comedies
to center a black female.
The film's success led to Goldberg
hosting the Oscars in 1994,
making her both the first woman
and the first POC to ever do so.
Question, are there any other
Goldberg films on your watch list?
Ghost, perhaps. Ghost is a movie.
I absolutely need to see for reals.
I know that movie.
was on when I was a child, but all I remember is an image of Whoopi Goldberg in a doorway and the
movie poster, so I definitely need to see that one.
I'm going to be so real. I don't know other Whoopi Goldberg movies.
I've seen other than this and the color purple.
Wow. Doing a Whoopi dirty. All right. We're doing Whoopi dirty right now. I can't believe
you guys. I mean, I've never seen the color purple. I have never seen Ghost. I haven't
seeing the color purple. I would love
to watch all of the whoopee
things. Obviously she was very
big in the 90s so I'm like take
me back let's go. I'm ready.
The hell is happening.
I don't know. You're moving all over.
No. It's giving me a headache.
It's breaking in here. John.
She's still acting. Okay. All right.
All right. All right. Here we go.
She's an episode of the comments.
We got some whoopies.
We got some whoopee, whoopi. Damn.
She's Star Trek Picard.
Okay. Everyone loves that show.
Here, let's go from the bottom.
Let's start from the bottom.
Where she started.
Yeah, I was going to say.
Never seen moonlighting.
Nope, never heard of it.
Let's see.
I don't know, you guys are going to have to start recommending us some whoopie bangers.
Because there's a bunch of weird, like, there's some weird stuff in here that I feel like people.
Like, tales from the crib, we know, but that's, like, going to be, like, that's different, right?
All the players.
Yeah.
Never seen the player.
Is she deleted that?
No, that's a dude on the cover.
No.
But I mean, that's a notable film at least.
Sister Act 2 back in the happen.
She's in Lion King.
Oh, Karina Karina, I would love to watch again.
That was another movie of my grandma.
I guess my grandma liked Whoopi Goldberg.
Because we watched Karina.
Like, that's a movie I haven't seen in a long time.
I've never heard of Karina, Karina.
I forgot she was in The Little Rascals.
Oh, snap.
I think Karina, isn't Mara Wilson in that movie?
Little Matilda?
No, it's a different girl.
Never really?
Ray Leota's in it, though.
Never seen it.
Oh, is Tina Madgerino from, uh, from freaking Napoleon Dynamite?
It would be Goldberg and paired with her mobster men.
Yeah, we got the mobsters.
Uh, yeah, you guys are going to have to, uh...
Girl Interrupted is a great movie.
I've never seen it.
Never seen it?
I never love to.
Oh, my God, I forgot.
I haven't seen that in so long.
That is literally, to me, wow movie.
Wow movie.
Love that movie.
Okay.
I hope they put me on it with these two idiots.
It's who I haven't seen it.
Oh, my God.
I would love that movie.
Holy shit.
I haven't seen it in so long, and I just remember loving the shit out of it.
Tara interrupted.
Yeah, sorry.
She was also,
She was a Monkio 3,000.
I was about to say, just based on title alone,
got to check out that.
Oh, hell of that.
Yeah, it was, uh, yeah, we'll recommend us some whoops.
Please.
Tell us your favorites.
To our list.
What are your favorite whoopies?
Hit us.
Jay Rustin.
What up, Jay?
Question.
What a.
Rejects can sing what rejects cannot sing.
I think Tara is the only person who can sing here.
I don't think that's true.
I think it's true.
I'm a novice, but I like singing.
Yeah, John can sing. He plays guitar and sings.
I can semi-sing, sort of.
Yeah, you can sing a little bit, I think.
Can Roxy sing a bit, I think.
Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier.
Ooh, child, things get brighter.
Hey.
Someday it's, we'll walk in the rain.
Yeah, a beautiful son.
Someday da-da-da-da-d-d-da-da-da-da-a-da-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.
Beautiful.
All right, you guys.
Okay.
10-10, Raider-s singing.
I did want to do a little trivia.
Trivial.
And this last contribution.
there is some crazy trivia.
Oh, hit us.
This last contribution from J. Dell is a perfect segue.
So J. Dell says the Bet Midler was originally cast as Dolores.
For Whoopi Goldberg took over the role and the script was rewritten to fit Wuppie's comedic
timing and personality, which helped shape the movie's iconic tone.
Okay.
I will say this is one of those movies and I was thinking it while we're watching it,
that the plot itself doesn't inherently
need to be a black woman in the lead,
but I feel like the fact that she is
adds a little flavor and little soul to it.
Agreed. Definitely.
Yeah, nothing within the script explicitly
like mentions the fact that she's black
or anything major plot-wise,
but I like the fact that she's black
and I like that it's Whoopi Goldberg.
She did a great job.
Well, and it is, yeah,
like the conversation comes to your mind
because I think we both made a joke at some point
in the early stages of her coming to the convent
where she's like meeting with,
mother superior and there are those little things where in the back of your mind you're like
is this is this like a prejudice thing?
But wait a minute you are in danger of being murdered by mobsters so I get it
like so I get the the trepidation and the feeling that you're dangerous beyond that
connotation yeah but yeah that's a really good point and like yeah it does it's it's
fascinating we'll move on because apparently one other thing that happened here
was that
Whoopi Goldberg
hired Carrie Fisher
to rewrite her dialogue.
Oh my God.
Which led to many arguments
with Disney executives.
Fisher later told Goldberg
you're getting into a pissing contest
with people who have actual dicks.
Carrie Fisher,
consummate professional.
I don't know she was a writer too.
Yeah, I mean,
Carrie Fisher,
you know,
I don't know the most about her life,
but she's a fascinating person,
it seems like.
And yeah,
this was later,
turned into a stage musical.
Whoopi Goldberg appeared in a limited run of the London performance,
this time playing the Maga Smith role, Mother Superior.
And it was reported that the Rolling Stone magazine cover
shown during the closing credits is real.
In actual fact, the only time Whoopi Goldberg appears on the cover
is in May 8th, 1986.
Six years before the film's release.
Oh, snap. Cool.
But yeah, apparently, Bet Midler also,
who was attached to star originally, suggested that the...
the writer Paul Rudnick
go to a real-life convent
to do research.
He went to stay in Regis Lottis Abbey
in Bethlehem, Connecticut.
The priores, Mother Dolores Hart, OSB,
had been an actress, singer, and dancer
appearing in movies like King Creole
and where the boys are.
Mother Hart is still
the only nun known to be a voting member
of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.
And she and her fellow nuns enjoy
watching her Academy Screeners.
every year.
Yeah, they do.
Oh my God.
Hey, oh my goodness.
Anyway, that's some good stuff.
That's the tributly.
What?
During the shoot, Kathy and Jimmy and Wendy McKenna
decided to order wine and fries
their hotel room for room service
while still in their habits
before the other arrive.
Kathy insisted that Wendy sit on the bed
transfixed on the television,
which was tuned to a porn channel
so that they get a reaction out of the waiter.
all went as planned into Wendy could no longer contain her laughter
and lost a $100 bet with Kathy.
Wow.
Oh my God.
That's fun.
Gang, this is a good ass time.
Gang, we freaking did it.
Let us know your favorite song converted into a Christian song.
Let us know your favorite musical.
Let's know your favorite Whoopi Goldberg movie and see if we will watch it.
I would love to.
Please enlighten me.
Enlighten the rest of us.

Let's do it.
