just a bit
Should we just get to it?
I think we should.
Let's do it.
I've waited long enough, Tara.
Let's go.
Three, two, one.
Thank you to Prepper for editing down these highlights.
We super appreciate them.
Also, Eric at Nerd Chronic.
He helps do like the second edit.
He's great as well.
Appreciate to Eric.
Okay.
So, Andrew.
Oh, my God.
How do you feel?
I'm part of the Stranger Things universe now, at least the audience.
Yeah.
I was amazing.
I understand.
Again, I'm only one episode in, but I understand why it's so well regarded.
I really enjoyed it.
There were so many different things just from the tone.
You know, you got the horror side.
You've got the 80s vibe, which I just akin to.
But also, too, you've got.
I wouldn't say action adventure, but again, you got horror in there. You've got mystery. You've
got suspense. I like how they all blend together. I think it's like done really well. And again,
like the episode really does a good job of building up that suspense. Like in those horror
moments, I really was like getting tense and like kind of just like I'm on the edge of my seat.
But also at the same time, because I'm, I think what this episode did so well, when it comes to
horror, the biggest thing for me, and I've mentioned this so many times, and I will always
mention it, the biggest thing for me is when we're watching something that is, this comes
for anything but especially horror, I've got to be invested in the characters. And when I'm
invested in the characters and I don't want anything to happen to them, that's when I'm locked
in. And I was like right away with the kids especially, I was immediately invested, especially
like when they're playing the board game, like they're nerds. Like this is, I mean, this is us. First
of all the audience but it's me like i immediately connected and was on board with the kids and i
love the the actors that they got because i immediately just was resonating with them uh in general so
um i'm just the biggest thing for me is i'm just so excited like i did not want it to end it was
really well paced as well i did not however the running time was i didn't feel it for one moment yeah um
i love the world building i love the the time that they have it set in again with the 80s like
all the references and everything just music to my ears um this was great i really love it i
really really love it also too i like that the episode took its time didn't feel rushed at the
same time i still have no idea what's going in terms of like i know there's a monster it can
control electricity or something like that that's it and i like too it was very alfred hitchcockian
in terms of they didn't really reveal it at all.
Right.
We didn't really see.
But I think that's kind of more terrorizing for me because it lets your imagination.
It lets my imagination play things in my own head like it could be this.
It could be that.
But they also gave you little examples of what it could be.
Like with those practical effects that they had on set, which were incredible props to the team for that.
I thought the production design was fantastic.
And I'm probably going to be saying that a lot throughout how we're.
however much we watch of this show it really again aesthetics the cars everything it's uh the attire
the haircuts the music yeah tvs just it's so important to get all those down and i like i have
a meticulous eye when it comes to these things and they really at least for the first episode
absolutely nailed it yeah so i i just i really like appreciate all those little nuances
yeah and i love that they really got those things down um also
too I really like I know he's not meant to at least be right away a likable character because he's
very cynical he's traumatized but I like that line that they gave him at least with you know talking
about oh my daughter's with her mother and then that other line from the character said his daughter
passed away a few years ago it's like again you gave a lot of visual narration like just seeing
the way his house is how it's really dirty he's popping pills with alcohol okay I can already
tell this is a very traumatized character yeah great visual narration i can understand i can feel his pain
without him saying a line yeah thought that was great right away good performance by david harbour
the actor and then like again i like that the show just really very meticulously takes its time
reveals that dialogue later on lets you uh the audience like feel his pain a little bit and see that
like he has that that cynical nature to him uh doesn't is not very hopeful just in general
doesn't really give a crap about anything.
And then the reveal of the lines, like, okay, this makes sense.
Yeah, I think it's smart.
I agree.
What I think that this pilot does is a really good job of getting to the action.
We open up on a shot of a guy running away and then he sucked up.
That pulls any audience in.
What my main complaint is normally about most pilots is that they're not getting to the stuff.
And when I watch the rest of the show, I'm like, they could have started this on episode three.
and everyone would have been like,
are you watching this thing?
Right?
And the way that they build up
without losing the build up
and the foundation of the character
so that we care.
We do care, right?
They start off on action.
What they don't do is give us a lot of exposition, right?
We're not giving these characters
or the sheriff exposition about like,
well, you know, I lost my kid.
Or really any of the kids,
they're not talking about a thing so that we realize who they are. They do a good job of just
showing us who these people are because we don't need the words. We can just see it, right? We
see that Nancy is type A. I got to study. That's not her saying, you know, I have to get good
grades. It's in a conversation between her and Steve. And now we know immediately with Steve going,
just come study, I'll meet you at 8.
We know where he's at in life, in two lines,
and we know where Nancy's at, right?
When we meet the boys in the very beginning,
they're playing a DD,
I think that that really reminds me of alien.
Remember an alien, it's the best setup
when they go in and they're all around the table
and they're just, you feel that vibe.
You are like, dude, this vibe,
is perfect, which is why I am not surprised that that shot, the opening shot, was shot last,
specifically so that he could get the chemistry between all of the actors to play to us,
which it did on Alien. It caught me right away. So subtle, so real. Same with the kids.
Like the kids, they felt, because it's difficult when you have kids on set. You really got to do your
casting right and i think that's what they they did very well is that casting is like dead on here
and those three kids we could already feel they had chemistry i don't know what the duffers
what the duffer brothers did prior if maybe they were like let's take them out let's get them to
hang out so that when they first shoot them on set right um it's all it's all really really good
and they obviously leave us on that cliffhanger and the i will again you know
know, go with what you were saying, is that the production design, the set design, it's all great.
They don't, they don't lose a beat in regards to what the background looks like.
What does the shower look like?
It's 80s.
Like what you said, I can't remember the last time I was taller than a shower.
And I'm like, yeah, dude, that, that is that, like, specific, right?
Which is great.
And it kind of reminds me of Disneyland.
You know, Disneyland versus Universal Studios.
Disneyland, they look at the details.
Universal is like, it's cool.
I love to go as well.
But they're not worried about what the crown molding in this building looks like
and does it add to the decor of what this park is.
Universal does not do that.
Disneyland does.
So does stranger things.
For sure.
I do like what you just said in regards to the chemistry of the kids.
I mean, that's obviously it's an ensemble and there's so many different layers and parts
in terms of character.
characters and actors. So I think again, I really, even Steve the douche, but like I enjoyed all the
performances just on the first episode. But I think like the crux of this show is like where it's
going to garner its strength at least for me is like those kids. And like right away, I did
immediately feel the chemistry. And I think also a very big thing for me that I always always watch
out for is always feeling not only the dynamic between the characters and the actors, but it's also like
the foundation and the history between them. Like at the end of the.
the day we got to remember they're just actors they have not actually spent all this time together
right so it's got to feel real and authentic and grounded and it like when i was watching them play
the board game and then talking and interacting with each other it did feel real it didn't feel like
they've been hanging out for a year and i think that's like an important thing it it sucks you and
it immerses you into the experience so i think that's a very big thing uh when i'm watching so i'm
glad you did bring up chemistry i also did like too as well um i did bring up a mention i don't know
if you've ever seen the movie. It's a film that came out in
1987 was
directed by the director
of, we don't mention this movie,
but I'm going to, it's called Robocop
3, Fred Decker. He directed
and Shane Black wrote this. It's called The Monster Squad.
One of my all-time favorite 80s
films.
Okay.
This really remind me with the
kids just going on and being like the, and obviously
Goonies as well, of course. I just
I love how active they are.
They're not just sitting around like their friend, like
something has happened to their friend.
they don't know but like at the end of the day they're kids they could just say hey we'll let the
adults we'll let the cops uh like deal with this and hopefully he'll come back no they are active
they actually really give a damn about their friend and they're going to go uh you know figure out what
what the problem is i'm going to assume whatever you know happens whether they find him or god
forbid if he's not okay obviously this is not going to be the focus for the rest like they're
going to have to solve other things with monsters or whatever the situation is after uh you know
the whole Will thing gets taken care of.
But I like that they are going to be active characters
and they're not going to be just sitting around.
Right.
It puts them in and it shows us that they're a tight-knit crew,
meaning these kids would do anything for each other.
Also, when you set them up to be,
and I know it was just the three of them minus Will
because they weren't aware when they were testing the radio in the school,
it sets them up that they also, even playing D&D,
but then with the freaking the radio,
it sets them up that they all have the same likes and quirks.
They're all nerds, right?
That's what we're, they,
and we don't have to see them,
seeing them get bullied, it's a plus.
It sets them, they're down there.
But also the fact that they're friends with a science teacher,
and he's like, that is such great writing where they're like,
they, and he's like, uh, yeah, it's on the test,
as though everyone's left.
And then these three nerd alerts are like, is it in?
And he's like, it's it.
And you're like, dude, that relationship is freaking great, which is why.
And we didn't even see him.
He doesn't even say anything.
But then even everybody perks up and goes, oh, is that the science teacher?
He barely had a word, but we remember him because of the way they set up relationships in this show.
Yeah, no, for sure.
Great call.
Yeah.
They do a great job.
Yeah.
And I also think, too, like even as adults, like, we.
We still have a little bit of a kid inside of us.
Yeah.
And I think, too, like, as I mentioned during the reaction, like, he sees a lot of himself
in these kids.
Yeah.
And it's almost like he's kind of living vicariously through these kids, too.
So, you know, it's, I think it's cool, like, the interactions, seeing that too.
And, again, I remember it wasn't really lit up, but again, just because of that interaction
that they had with the teacher, like immediately he stuck out in my head right when we had
that one little shot of him searching for Will in the dark.
so I think that's to your point
I agree with that. He barely had any lines
you were like that's a teacher I was like yeah
and last thing for sure
and last thing I will say I'm sure
I'm going to mention this
lots of times too during our reactions
and in the reviews I freaking love
the music so much in the show it is
it's epic
and it just already again the show
is already really good
just again spacing off the one episode
but the music just really elevates
it kicks you in the fields like when that music
amps up you're like I'm pumped I'm pumped yeah um and it's really catchy and again it just
again just sucks you into the immersion of what you're watching too and the time and I was
gonna yeah and the time too I was gonna say like 80s and if you disagree with me again all subjective
that's totally cool I think 80s movies and TV shows had some of the best themes of all time like
Robocop Terminator princess bride just whatever just I mean you can name you go down the list
Blue Brothers whatever like those are
Back to the Future, Predator, like, I guarantee you if I, all the movies I just named,
you can in your head, you know, hum that music. You can hum that, you can hum that music in
your head. And right now, I'm humming the stranger things, do to do, the synthetic music. I love it.
Yeah. I love music that pumps me up and elevates what I'm already watching, tells me what I need
to feel. Even with it, even if I'm not like watching it, and I could just hear it and go, I know
what I'm supposed to feel right now. Yeah. I think that's the, whoever the composer, I think it's a
Kyle something like he understood the assignment really and took it to another level I just
I really appreciate this music so much yeah and it's really cool how linked it is of
stranger things that um and anytime you hear that music come on and they they do set that up in
the pilot which is great you're like oh the music the music sort of like the title music just
kicked in oh my god where are we going yeah yeah for sure it makes it super fun
it does I love it I can't wait to watch the next one I'm sure
He can't either.
I love that.
Like right when it ended,
I'm sure I'm going to do this a lot to.
I know I keep saying that,
but when the episode ended,
I was like,
no,
and that's,
that always to me is a sign of,
that's a sign of I'm enjoying something.
When I want something to end,
obviously I'm not enjoying something.
Or I have to go to the rest room really bad.
One of the two.
But in this case,
it was like,
no,
I want to keep going.
So I love the first episode.
As terror would say 10 out of 10.
Yeah, baby.
Really, really strong pilots.
It gave us all the juice.
I'm on board.
Can't wait for the next one.
Let's freaking do this.

Rejectation summer's coming up fast.
Which means we've got beach days, hikes.
Maybe one or two outdoor shoots lined up.
Maybe.
And if there's one thing I've learned while getting in shape this year,
that hydration makes.
a huge difference. Back in the end of January, I weighed 218 pounds. And as of the last time I weighed
myself, I am 179 now. Six-pack Greg coming in. I need it for the summer. In all seriousness,
Liquid Ivy, and these are bags I bought. They didn't send it. I bought them myself. Liquid
IV has been a constant in my life. I take one at least once a day. The one I mainly take is their
sugar-free hydration multiplier, especially the raspberry lemonade, my favorite. It's real simple.
You just tear it open. Pour it into 16 ounces.
of water. You can either shake it, mix it, you're good to go. Sometimes I mix it with my
protein shake to give my protein shake a little bit extra flavor. I especially use it after
cardio or during long workdays. And even on rest days, when I want to stay
sharp, it's just a great pick-me-up. It feels so good. And liquid IV, one of the
advantages that they have. They have three times the electrolytes than your leading
sports drink, plus eight essential vitamins and minerals. And it's powered by
LIV-hydroscience, which basically helps your body absorb everything fast. It's
vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and seriously, no artificial junk.
So if you're gearing up for a better summer, looking for a good midday pick-me-up,
you know hydration's important, the multitude of reasons to support your body and also to support
the channel, Liquid IV actually helps.
So you can go to Liquidiv.com and use Code Rejects to get 20% off your first order.
That's Liquidiv.com, Code Rejects.

How do you feel for the first time watching episode too?
I am loving it so much.
much so far. I also think it's interesting too that again I haven't watched a crud ton of shows in my
whole life. I've watched a few but I think it's interesting that a storyline from the pilot episode
is carrying over so far into I mean we're going to three episodes we're still on the what happened
to will what happened to him yeah but it's carrying over and again I can't think of too many if that's
happened you know again you guys let me know in the comments but I think that's a fascinating way to
start a show it really hooks you and sinks you yeah because like i want to know like get will
back please because i like i know we only had a scene or two with will or two scenes rather but i'm like
i want to i want to find will so bad i also love too the fact we're slowly peeling the layer
of uh l i had to think of her name uh we're slowly peeling the layer back of l's backstory um
getting into like i guess she was experimented on or something maybe that's how she got her
powers. I mean, still kind of in the dark about all that. But I like that they're really taking
their time. I think that's the benefit of having a TV show. You don't have to rush into anything.
You have episodes. Totally. So it's nice. And I really do like the, how they're also doing the
backstory with when they insert backstories for Joyce and Will and John. Excuse me. And
Jonathan, I think that's fat. Again, I think the editing there is really well done. And when they insert
insert those flashbacks.
I liked in the first episode you had, you know, the mom going to the place, one of his
favorite hiding spots.
That was, uh, but again, it just shows like how tightly knit and how close they are the
dynamic between all three of those characters.
Right.
And also, too.
You mean Joyce?
Joyce Will and Jonathan.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
And also, too, I really appreciate Jonathan in the absence of the father who basically, it
seems like abandoned them, wanted city life instead of a suburban town life or whatever.
they're living middle nowhere yeah middle nowhere kind of life yeah uh but it seems like jonathan has
taken up that mantle of being a role model for will staying uh being close to him and also too like
when there are arguments or conversations over the phone we saw that will like you know turned up
the radio or or music whatever and close the door like he's being very protective over his brother
and like yeah i really gravitate towards that kind of stuff i like that i really like jonathan
a lot um i i'm curious to get to see more just with him i like i just
think he's a very fascinating character that was wild with barbara at the end um but also
that was very great i like how this show is also like obviously we got supernatural shit going on
yeah but at the same time i like that it's still grounded in reality like you got situations
of going over to uh in in peer pressure situations and then you got barbara like you mentioned
how disappointed she wasn't her friend because she's just normally the you know the girl who
likes to study and get good grades, hang out with friends. And then she's like, she's getting drunk now and
she's partying. Yeah. And she's going upstairs with a boy with ulterior motives and they're going
to get into some crazy crud. And it's like she's just more disappointed. She's not being like an
attentive good friend towards Barbara. And like, again, that that visual narration was really good because
you right away knew what she was thinking. So that was. But again, again, it just, it's grounded in reality. I like
that like you know you're not thinking about the supernatural stuff in the moment you're just
thinking about the characters in the situation because we've been in situations or you've
experienced situations like that most of us have so i like that um yeah and then also too i
like that um i can't remember fin wolfhard's uh characters so we're only two episodes and i
will get the names down which one is fin uh he's the main main kid of the three kids oh uh he's mike
maybe you might be right it's mike dustin and um yeah i don't know dustin's toothless right
yeah yeah like he's hysteria he he's obviously the comedic relief of the group which and he's hysterical
um but i like that mike was being again very attentive towards l and i also thought um two things
one i thought millie milly bobby brown being such a young actress she's really holding her weight down
also to the visual narration she's doing and providing because there's a lot of body language that she's it's not easy to do like acting is all about emoting and reacting and her body language is really strong in these first two episodes like you can tell what she's feeling and thinking just from her body contortments and just from her emoting because she's not saying a ton of lines right and like I'm very invested in her character and I got to look up the guy's name continue talking yeah but I like I like I
like that. And I will say this too. I thought the reveal of her superpowers for the kids and that
look of wonder and was just really well done. I thought that was so cool because these kids like
they live in a fantasy in their own way. Like they play D&D and like their nerds and like
superheroes and superpowers is such a such a fun fantasy of theirs. So seeing someone to actually
having superpowers in front of them like I thought the reaction was really whoever directed this episode
really got a good reaction out of the kids.
Yeah.
And that was great.
Duffer Brothers.
Yeah.
Oh, they directed the episode too?
I know they created the show.
Yeah, I think right when it popped up said written and directed.
Oh, okay.
And it's just so, you know, it's Dustin, Mike, Will, and Lucas.
Oh, Lucas.
There we go.
Lucas.
Okay.
I had to know that too.
Yeah, yeah.
I will eventually get them down since we're still early, guys.
But yeah, I thought that was an awesome reveal.
I also think Winona Ryder is doing a great job.
Just being that concerned parent in the moment, I think obviously this is one of, if not the most fearful thing that can happen to a parent is a child being abducted or lost and not knowing where to find them.
I thought that scene where she went to the store, just in general, the whole episode of her being panicked and scared, the anxiety that comes with it.
She did a great job there.
Also, I love that scene where she goes to the store.
She's like, I'm not here to work.
I need a phone.
I need two weeks advance.
Obviously, where she pulled the camels because she was in a power.
in a mode of persuasion at that point.
But again, the story that she said,
I've never missed holiday,
I just thought that was really well acted on her part.
She's doing a great job in general,
but really got me there.
And then I also like to,
last thing, and I'll let you go,
I really am enjoying David Harbour's character.
Because again, we mentioned in the last episode
how cynical, not full of hope.
And again, we got that line reveal about his daughter.
And I like how, again,
they're just really taking their time with him.
And he's like, am I the problem?
Because, like, nothing ever happens.
And that's also a big part of why he had that don't give an F attitude.
It's like, nothing ever happens in this town.
What do I got to do?
Why am I even a sheriff here?
Like, I, there's no use for me.
There hasn't been a muicide since 1961 or something he said like that.
1923 or whatever he said hasn't been an abduction or someone's life been taken or whatever
it was it's like you know now i'm the sheriff i'm in charge yeah and immediately some crazy
crap happens it's like am i the problem yeah i think that internal um you know moral compass and just
like uh that mental ambiguity like am i the problem i think that's interesting psychosis like
for the character and i think that's uh it adds intense drama just like for us the audience
like thinking about that and feeling bad for him too because now we he's being very sympathetic to
towards Joyce, obviously because it's a very sensitive topic for him with his daughter,
but also, too, I think there's internal, like internal dialogue and thinking going on with
the character that really asks us the audience the question, like, we know because we've seen
the monster, or not seen the monster, but we know there's a monster lurking, so it's like,
dude, it's not you, but I think it's just, it adds fascinating drama for the character,
like, that, like, we feel, we sympathize with him, but also we're getting emotionally attached
the character at the same point.
Yeah, he's also very much in a self-deprecating stage
where, of course, he would think he's cursed.
I mean, this is whack, right?
And of course, he would think that he's in charge
that wise is happening to me.
I think also this episode does a really great job
of showing, like, Nancy's decline
into, like, the bad crowd.
And I think it really highlighted the decline
by having Barb there.
Barb is obviously, you know,
she's a nerd she's like she's totally you're not looking up trivia right no i'm not okay good i'm just
i'm just looking up who steve is okay i'm just looking up who steve is okay it's driving me up a freaking
wall i'm sorry continue got it no you're all good um so uh i i i love that the way that they highlighted
nancy's decline is through barb because she is obviously a nerd she knows nancy nancy's smart
like they're both like we got a study what are you doing we don't party on a tuesday and
it was all done with just her looks she didn't have to say she did say like this isn't you at the end
like i felt like that's what she was saying with her whole face which i really really liked
um and it's wild to me that like she is taken out or i don't know like the monster took her
like the guy in the beginning and i'm like oh it's so weird that they set us up with that
with Nancy to kind of put us right in that spot of like she has a best friend but she's like moving
with the wrong crowd and now her good crowd is gone straight up gone dude and like um I also really
liked how will nope how Mike was introducing 11 to the house I thought that was really really
fun and then we saw her in the background
at dinner.
Oh, right.
And then it was never revealed, like, you know, like you saw.
And I was like, oh, wow.
And that's why the kids snuck down.
And I like how adaptable to quick on their feet.
They were like spasms.
Totally.
Totally.
I love that because that just shows when they ask in this episode and they explained to her,
I believe that was this episode, what friendship is.
And they're like, basically you would do anything for any,
You would do anything for them.
You'd give them your toys.
Like, she's learning about, like, real life as a kid,
which it seems very obvious to us that she has not had a childhood,
which is whack.
And she learned about promise, too.
Yeah, exactly.
She did.
And I really like how well the kids, they're just freaking kids,
are protecting her, right?
I mean, he was really desperate for her to go around the front door
and ring the doorbell and be like,
my mom will know what to do um but now that she has like superpowers they've seen it it's very it's
very cool and her being the the character who has superpowers is the perfect she is with the
perfect three people that she could be with as a girl to have superpowers for sure right they actually
they appreciate it they think it's cool they're not like sure they're a little freaked out of
But they're also very intuitive.
I think they're writing the kids as like, even though they're kids, they're still very intuitive, somewhat emotionally intelligent.
They're getting there.
And I also really liked how they highlighted how good of a mom Wynonna Ryder is.
She's literally going into debt, probably, right?
She's getting a two-week advance on this.
She's falling asleep in the chair.
The phone burns.
And then a thing comes through the wall.
Oh, that was amazing.
Dude, it was great.
It was practical.
Yeah.
Cut me if it's CGI.
That was practical.
I know the CGI and the newer freaking...
Nightmare and the nightmare.
I hated it so much.
I was like, why would you not use practical?
That's so dumb.
That was such a good shot.
I completely agree.
You really nailed something right there.
I mean, in 1984, when they did that shot with Fraker,
I forgot how they did.
It was like something with elastic band.
I forgot what they did.
He comes through the wall.
Yeah, no, no, no.
I'm saying how they achieve that shot.
It's like when you read the trivia.
Oh, you just build a fake wall.
Yeah.
But when you read the trivia, it's like, wow, that is so fascinating how they did this.
It's like elastic bands or I forgot.
Anyways, the point being is, this is a show.
I'm sure it's well budgeted and all.
But like, that is a 2000, that 2010 version is a very highly budgeted film and this looked way better.
so it's like like that just shows you like sometimes less is more and I like and practical if you can use practical over CGI again that's not always the answer but if you can go with practical yeah and so far it looks like they've been going with practical yeah for sure I will say too I think it's going to be interesting too going ahead because obviously we know the boys are looking for will and now with what's happened to Barb Barbara yeah now joy or
what's what's the sister nancy excuse me now nancy is going to be kind of in the same boat as the
boys just because like a friend was abducted so i guess it seemed like she was yeah life is gone
but true there was no like there's no remains so like again but abducted so it's like is nancy
gonna join the boys like one big club like we're all looking for the same thing because it's
the same creature yeah because like i was going to say how weird it is that nancy
and Mike are in the same house
but like Nancy has
not even come across that they're
hiding 11 in there
except the boys except Mike
knows hey I'm sure
you did a lot of studying last
like he seems to know
exactly he seems to know a lot about Nancy
and I kind of as 11
was walking through I was like oh Nancy's
just so caught up in her own
world I get it she's older in high school
she's obsessed with Steve that she's not going to be
paying attention to that I
I mean, the whole family is unaware that they're hiding 11.
I just figured that, um, uh, who knows how long that'll go on for.
I have no idea.
Um, and I'm also more curious to learn like where the heck is will exactly, because through
the phone and the communicate, I'm glad to know that he's, it seems like he's still alive
because he was communicating through the phone, but I'm very fascinated to find out where
that goes.
Again, it, I think it's so interesting that through, through the pilot episode two, episode two,
and now into episode three, that same.
storyline again i really can't think of too many shows from pilot to episode two to episode three
we're on the same storyline and it's really good too i can't really think of too many examples of
that i also got to say last thing for me shout out to that dad uh nancy and mike's father
language language what did i do oh yeah yeah he didn't have a line in this one he was at the table
was that was that an episode one where he had those lines yeah well i forgot to mention in episode one
but I'm like he is like it's so it's so I'm pretty sure it was yeah you're probably right
whatever the case you're you're probably right whatever the case he's like so autopilot and like
not there yeah it's hysterical totally but that's like honestly I believe they wrote him like that
I guarantee you if you went on to actors access and you're auditioning for that role it was like
out of touch father like from the 80s who's just trying to get by
right and so um even though it added a bit of a comedic tone it's also with added with the sense of
realism yeah from from like 80s vibes um what else i'm trying to think if there's anything else
uh that we're missing i also did think it was fascinating too because we have it we hadn't uh again
we don't see the monster it's always invisible it seems like or using some kind of electricity to travel
or whatever it is.
Right.
Again, fascinating that when Barbara was bleeding
and then it hit the water.
Yeah, that's when it like came.
It started to strike.
And I'm trying to think like...
Was Will bleeding when he got taken?
Not that I remember because he was riding in the street.
Oh, yeah, he was right in the bike.
And then he was close to the energy place, right?
And then he saw it in the street and then it just followed him home.
But he wasn't, not to my recollects, he was not bleeding.
Yeah, you're right.
You're right.
I don't think there's like a pattern.
of you know blood touches water right i mean because that some jaws that's some jaws juice yeah but
like it was raining outside right i don't i don't know uh it's gonna be interesting to see what the
pattern or if there is any kind of pattern it's like it's just random when it's yeah because
it seemed like blood in the water was well who knows maybe that's just the top of the episode
that guy running he wasn't bleeding the scientist person right you're right he wasn't bleeding
But you're right, though, about blood in the water.
They definitely did a close pickup on that so that we know there's something kind of spooky here going on.
Or it could just be to get the audience, like, just have your mind thinking about what it could be.
Is that it?
Yeah, about like the blood and stuff.
Yeah.
I don't know, man.
But I'm loving it.
It's great.
Obviously haven't remembered a lot, even though this is literally, I have like three Stranger Things T-shirts.
I have a Stranger Things backpack.
Like, I am obsessed.
It's weird how much I don't remember.
That's how bad the memory is.
To be fair to Tara as well, you guys got to remember we watch so much.
We watch a lot.

But anyway, I love everything.
I can't wait to keep going because it feels like a first watch for me.
I mean, we'll see when we get to closer things.
Closer things.
