Thank you to Huell for sponsoring this video.
More on them in just a bit.
Holy tamale!
If you are listening to us on Apple or Spotify,
give us a five-star rating.
We appreciate you guys watching this with us.
Also, obviously, like this video, comment, subscribe.
When you do, ring the bell.
We are going to go to our patron questions.
That's the first thing we do after a review.
That's why you become a patron,
because if you got questions for us, we'll answer them for you.
All right.
Here we go.
Stranger Things 4 times 2.
All right.
The first question is from Jess Delane.
Taryn Andrews, Stranger Things.
Who's your favorite characters?
Oh, yeah.
If you could expand that.
Great, thank you.
Who's your favorite character so far this season?
Why is it Eddie?
He is epic in every way, and I love him so.
Thank you for the question, Jess.
I mean, Eddie definitely, I will say,
I think he's doing a great job of just showing, like,
the ramifications of, and the psychology of what happens to someone
who has all this confidence and what happens.
to a person when they experience such a traumatic thing like a supernatural murder right in front
of their face and then seeing like how they deal with that and you know within a day or so after
that and explaining it I think I think Joseph Quinn's the actor's name he just mesmerizing the
way he's portraying the character and again we're only two episodes and so I'm fascinated
to see like you know how they portray the the rest of the season with that character and I think
it's an interesting storyline too, Tara,
that we're going to, like, especially
with Steve now and
with Dustin
and with Maya Hawk
and how we're, and
with Sadie Sink here, I think
it's, and Max, I think it's interesting that
we're going to be going through this whole thing
of, like, proving his innocence, because
you have the whole thing, which I love that you call that
with Gaston, or Jason, rather,
and that whole crew of, you know, going into
like hunting after him, and also you have
the police and all of them looking for
because he's the prime suspect that happened in her place at Eddie's place, rather.
So it's going to be fascinating, like, because they know he's innocent,
these group of characters.
It's going to be fascinating to watch how they're going to, like, kind of protect him
and also they're going to have to rally the whole group together to prove his innocence as well
and also fight off this demonic dark wizard.
So Eddie is definitely a very fascinating character.
The show just does a great job of naturally inserting new characters like Erica.
last season, my Hawks character last day.
They do such a great job of naturally infusing
them in such an ensemble cast
and not making it feel forced
in any kind of way and still giving
other people that we already do care
about and that we are so
invested in still giving them their limelight and
still advancing the plot and
developing their characters in such a
nice way as well. So I
think the show just such a seamless
job when it comes to that. But Eddie
is fantastic and I can totally see why he is your
favorite character. And I would say so far he's
definitely up there in the new season.
Yeah, he's great.
You know what? I really like the nerd alert
that Nancy's working with
that obviously he's under the spell. I forget his
name at the moment. Fred. And then
Argyle is a huge
comedic relief. He's doing a really
great job at playing Jonathan's friend,
but also just
adding comedy in there because
this is like, it's getting rough for all
of us, right? It's getting rough
for like for Murray and
Joyce and then, you know,
We've got Hopper in the freaking prison being tortured.
We've got Elle being bullied.
I mean, there was a lot in this episode that I was like,
this is all really terrible.
But I do think that Argyll, these are not like my favorite.
I absolutely agree with you that Eddie is,
obviously he is a prime character, a lead character in this
because he has a lot of skills as an actor and he's bringing his A game.
but I do appreciate those notes that those new characters bring
that we haven't seen a ton of them
and I think it's been enjoyable
but I also guest on the doucheerama
I also forget his name but Chrissy's boyfriend
his name was Jason I believe it is
I guess that's fitting for him
Jason I think is doing a good job
of playing that attractive
yacht boy who's egotistical
and we see him as kind of an asshole
so we don't really put it past him
that's like maybe you could have hurt her
but we all knew the story
but now that he's getting he's being like guest on
of like let's go hunt this beast
I'm intrigued
I want to see where it goes but I do believe him
in that character I would not be surprised
if he was popular in high school
and always got the hot girl
and is a little bit of a jerk
we'll see
um okay
all right from billy barns
thanks for being a royal reject and for the question
we appreciate it even though you're only
two episodes in
how do you see well fitting in
do you think he is finally getting that
break after so many traumatic
seasons would you say he could
have managed to catch up for all
the lost time about five questions
there hopefully they tie into each other
love you guys thanks billy
yeah I mean
we've definitely mentioned this before
he has gone through the ringer when it comes to the first couple seasons, especially the first
two. And yeah, I mean, it's tough right now because, you know, they've moved away. They're in
California. And he does, I mean, seems like at least in the first episode, it didn't really
seem like, well, it seemed like there was a girl that was into him and, uh, he kind of, like,
she was touching him or flirting with him or something. And he kind of like, you know, hit her hand
away or, like, wasn't into her or something like that. And so I, I mean, we didn't see a ton
of time with him with other people and he's trying to be supportive of l but she's obviously going
through a very difficult time too because people are making fun of her she doesn't have mike
and the other support system as well there so you know it's definitely tough for will i mean he's
the fascinating thing with all these characters they've got some serious trauma that they're
dealing with from all the events of everything especially will so i mean the show just does such a great
job of like that's what makes the show so grounded and feel like real is that they do a great job
of showing like what happens to these characters and how they have to deal with it so i mean it's
but i think that's what is the the power of this show is that they have such amazing friends friends to
rely on and obviously there's times where it's like you know uh what's interesting is like okay now
you've got lucas is trying to go on the popular boat with the bad
basketball team, and he's kind of dealing with a facade thing, you know, like, all right, let me try this.
My friends didn't come to the game, so they're not being supportive.
And then you got L, like, kind of writing to Mike and saying, like, you know, trying to make
things up right now to kind of live in a facade of everything's cool, everything's good right now.
And it's fascinating to see how that's going right now.
But then at the end of the day, you know that things are going to go right for all of them,
and they're going to, you know, uplift each other and that's, and rely on each other because
that's what they are. They're really a family at the end of the day, so that's how I see things
fitting in for Will. The group of friends and the camaraderie and the family that they have
are going to uplift him at the end of the day. Yeah, I don't see Will fitting in, obviously,
currently. He's having a really difficult time. And then you said, is he finally getting a break
after so many traumatic seasons? Yes, but he's not, he doesn't want that break. Like he is,
we can see that he is more emotional and more sensitive than really everybody else in this.
Although Mike can be more sensitive with Elle, because as he said, he's like, well, that's my girlfriend.
You're my friend.
There's a difference.
But, you know, Will is really missing that, like, the love and the connection that they used to have.
And I feel bad for him.
So I feel like, and you're saying like, oh, would he say that he would have managed?
catch up for all this lost time.
And I'm like, yeah, he's caught up, but in all the worst ways.
He would probably rather it be like, let's go back and I have less time if it can be like
where it was before.
Because I, when you see him just a hurt in his eyes, he currently right now is alone and
isolated even when he is around his friends.
That is the worst way to feel.
ever always and that's exactly where will is and he doesn't really have anybody that he can
open up to to talk to about it because right now him and l are kind of on the outs he's like you
lied to mike him and mike are a little bit on the outs they're searching for l so um you know
i feel really bad for him he's he's alone he's isolated and i i you know in you saying hopefully
they tie into each other. I think they do because as I'm saying, I think that him fitting in,
he's just not. And hopefully eventually down the line, we will see that he does. I'm just not
sure how it's going to get there. Well, and even to your point, just really quick, he was even
opening up slightly to Mike, even though he was just telling him more about, you know, what was
happening with Elle, like, dude, she's completely lying to you. And that's why I was rolling my eyes.
And everything was more about that than broaching the subject of like what he's going through. And
And also, he did kind of go into it a little bit about what's going on with him saying, dude, you've never, you haven't called really called me this whole time.
He's like, the phone works both ways.
Like, so, yeah, I do agree with you there.
So I think eventually he's, that is the worst thing to have friends like right there and like not recognizing the things that are bothering you.
And also like, I can't tell you these kind of things.
But again, I think like it presents an obstacle that later on is going to be rectified and is going to eventually get resolved.
Hopefully, yeah.
Yeah, I would hope so.
Reject Nation, I have officially lost over 45 pounds this year.
I'm still working on a couple of extra goals for body composition development.
I'm proud to say I've done it with no injections, no crash diets.
Just pure discipline, consistent training.
And yeah, fuel with fuel.
But when I started back in January, I was like 218 pounds.
And now I'm averaging between like 171 to 173.
And one of the things is help me genuinely stay on track with having such a busy schedule,
especially now that we have this like office away from my home.
I got a fridge right over there that is packed with so much of this.

They're my two favorites of the main staples.

Legitimately good taste, no chalky aftertaste.

My wife actually really likes the iced coffee and the strawberry banana.

Jessica Houser said seeing Elle struggling is heartbreaking. She's been through so much and now
has no powers. How do you feel about this gate rinking in this episode? Do you think Elle went too
far or was she justified? Personally, I'm with Elle completely. Angela needed to get her
bell runga i know terran i understood that reference yes it was awful how she was treating oh it was
disgusting and i can totally understand jessica why you feel that l or rather that uh it was justified
i i get it and i think we're with ell in like doing something back to uh what's her name angela like
she's an she's just an awful person i'm just not a big fan of physical violence to someone over words as
bad as the words were like from someone like Angela and again I would want if it were possible
if she had her powers or even if she doesn't have her powers to do something whether it'd be
in a pranky man or just not take an actual skate and do something where she can like be charged
with assault or be taken away just something like that like as much as I loved seeing it I just
don't want Elle to get in trouble I think it's the biggest thing like it was not it felt good
in the moment but like because we care about Elle so much and we
know the the consequences of doing such an action.
That's where I was just most worried about.
You know what I mean?
And I, again, I don't believe in physical violence in such a manner,
like, unless it's in self-defense.
Like, that was my only thing.
But I totally get why you feel justified.
Angela is an awful human being,
especially the group of friends that she had, too.
And, like, that was terrible what they were doing.
But how did you feel about it?
So in the skating rink episode,
I mean, the skating rink scene in this episode was,
horrific. Just when you think it's going to stop, it keeps going, right? Not only are they filming it
and then the milkshake thing, but then they don't just even let her, like, walk off. They're still
like following her and laughing at her. It's freaking awful. And when I see her grab that
freaking skate, I literally, I'm like, vengeance is ours. I'm like, we ride at dawn, go get her.
But then at the same time, I'm like, oh, God, this is going to be bad.
but so bad in such a good way but also not good like I wanted it because you heard me saying
please just slap her please just punch her like I can't and it's not even like a thing that I would
normally like for me that I would normally do right like I'm not going to go around punching anyone
or like slapping anyone but seriously Angela was she is the literal worst and I'm going to
tell you you saw my reaction of that I was like so shook when she did it I was shocked but I believe
there was a huge smile on my face which is bad but like literally I hate that character Angela and
the skating rink scene went really far they took a lot of time on it and that's what makes
this story and the way that it was written and directed so good because you take enough time
on that so when that character finally seeks vengeance we are on her freaking side no matter how
much juice there is behind it meaning no matter how violent it is and in that moment i i am with
you where i was like yeah i'm with hell i don't know you messed up angela even though i'm not
thinking about the after effects of like until immediate like oh crap she could get sued and be
and be charged with assault and be like arrested it's really bad but in the moment i'm like hell yeah
yeah this woman's gone too far just do it yeah all right from amelia holmes thank you so much
for being a royal reject and for the question we appreciated do you know anything about the satanic panic
in the 80s, as you can see, it was hinted at
at the very end of the season three finale
and is a larger part of the cultural context
in season 4. I've never heard of it.
I don't know anything about it.
What about you?
It was hinted at the very end of the season 3 finale
with the 4th of July.
Huh. Okay.
I don't know anything about satanic panic.
So maybe Amelia on like the next one,
maybe when you ask that to give us some juice on it and then we can answer we'll answer more for you
like give us a little background on what that is because I didn't catch that but I also don't know
what it is I don't either sorry all right last one's from kev B strangeer things always drops
plenty of mysteries and strange clues along the way was there a moment detail or line in this episode
that made you go wait what does that mean and what's your wildest theory about what's
really going on.
I don't know if anything made me go particularly
wait, what does that mean?
But again, I'm just
very fascinated to know more about
whatever this dark wizard,
was it, Beckna, is that what it's called?
Beckner or whatever
Beckner's Curse.
Not Beckner's Cruz?
No.
I'm very curious if like what
Eddie's uncle was saying, if that's who
it is Victor,
whoever he said that was, because
I really...
Victor Creel.
I want to know the backstory on who this is, how we got there,
if it's just something from the upside down.
Like, I just...
I don't know if I have an actual theory on it,
but, I mean, again, it's very easy to presume
that this is very inspired by a nightmare in Elm Street this season, rather.
So I'm curious if there's going to be anything
that, you know, kind of is a little bit of a parallel
in there that they're...
being inspired by with with uh the character but yeah i just like that's the biggest thing like
that has me like intrigued to see in terms of like revealed and backstory i want to find out more
about why is this thing doing what it's doing and what it and the backstory i'm so curious what about
you i'm really trying to think a moment detail or line in this episode to make you go wait what
does that mean? I'm really, I'm, I'm trying to think through all of the characters and like what
they're saying, but I don't really feel like there was anything that made me think, wait,
what does that mean? I think I automatically knew that Victor Creel, like, it's very easy to check
because he's still in the psych ward. We got to figure that out. Nancy can do that, right? Yeah. I, I, I,
And now that Vecna is revealed and he's going after Fred is sort of like, oh, now we know, right?
We sort of know what's going on, especially with the episode being titled Vekna's Curse.
Again, it leads us back to D&D, which is great.
But I guess I'm really trying to think of all the lines in here.
I think maybe.
what does
Rie for Rick really mean
I will say this while you're
thinking of that I do
love how besides the camaraderie and the
teamwork and the family dynamic of the group
and I love how them
being experts on D&D
makes them perfect proponents
for why they are so
well equipped
for beating whoever
like the main villains
creatures rather are for these for each
of these seasons.
They've gone through it on these games for hours.
That's why they're such, you know,
top level experts for this.
Maybe Eddie will be like the,
like in terms of wild theories,
he's going to like,
I've beaten,
I have been Vecna so many times.
I know exactly how Vecna thinks.
I'm ready to go at this.
Yeah.
Also, too, I'm so intrigued because we saw with Fred,
like what he was dealing with.
And again,
I love the inventiveness.
I've already said it a few times.
And like the traumas that,
you know, this creature, or the dark wizard, rather, Vecna,
that he exposes when he puts you in this nightmare trance.
I'm so interested and also horrified to see, like,
in the foreshadowing, in the upcoming episodes,
what he's going to expose and the inventiveness
that they're going to come out with,
with each character or victim that he goes after.
It's fascinating to see, because with Fred,
you saw, like, obviously with the victim of the car crash
and how that trauma still stays on with him.
So I know it was a couple.
Do you remember what it was for Christy?
I remember it was like she was like having like some domestic or some family issues, right?
I can't remember.
And particularly what I was.
Because a couple of weeks ago, we watched that episode and we've watched a ton of media in between.
So I'm kind of already spacing out.
And some, some shit's happened since then.
So my mind's not as clear as it normally is.
But again, I'm intrigued again.
Like I said, I hate the whole when he does that.
It's very gruesome to look at as visceral as it is and gruesome and inventive as the kills are when he does it.
It's horrifying at the same time.
But I do like, again, the inventiveness of when he exposes their traumatic takes.
But have you thought of anything?
So I'll go back to my line in a sec.
But like with Chrissy, you know, initially we thought, you know, they're praying after the week, right?
there was a weakness she's going to get drugs
because she literally just can't stand it.
She's going through a lot of pain.
But then when you think about Fred,
you're like, he isn't really in this most vulnerable position, right?
He's helping Nancy.
He's a smart kid.
Sure, he's a nerd.
But then, you know, the second they pull up,
he's already seeing, you know, in that cop, the visions.
And then obviously he gets pulled in
and he gets to see his worst fear.
The car crashed.
And that's why he has the scar.
but there's still nothing that I'm like fully adding up of like wait who how can I guess who our next victim is going to be based on who is at their weakest because that's obviously it's not adding up so I'm not sure exactly why he's choosing what he's choosing and then specifically the one the one line I think from this episode that made me go wait what does that mean is really just even though I know what it means is Mike going
why am I the bad guy?
Why does this make me the bad guy?
And then Will doesn't really answer, right?
And then they're just like, let's go find her.
There's a reason that was written in there.
And I'm curious as to what it,
what's that subconscious underlying thing
that we're supposed to get from Mike telling Will,
why does that make me the bad guy?
because right now their friendship is on the outs
and I'm not really sure
how we're going to get back to it
and the fact that Will didn't answer him
means that when he does
we're waiting for a real plot twist I think
so I'm waiting, I'm waiting for that
and the wildest theory
I would say about what's really going on
is now that we have revealed Vecna
I think that Vecna is just
I don't know, he's doing the D&D thing.
He's just trying to take over the, the, what do you do?
When you play D&D, take over the planet.
You curse him?
Yeah, you take it over and you, you kill all the things in your way.
I don't know, I don't know.
If I knew D&D better, I'd be like, oh, Vecna's using them to feed himself.
I don't know.
Like, I would say that's like my wildest theory.
Is Vakness got to go after, he's got to.
get them all just like it was in the
other one. The monsters trying to get
everybody on their side to go
to take over the land
or whatever. Yeah. This is a
again, I think I've mentioned it already
a few times in season one, but
it's season one. Episode run.
Excuse me. I think it's a fascinating
theme that they are playing on, especially
with at their age that they're at with
all our main kids, you know,
with Dustin, with Mike, with Will and Lucas.
The whole group, and the rest of the
core group, too. The whole
growing apart theme and I think they're executing on it in such a methodical and fascinating way
and it's going to be interesting to see because again it makes the show feel so grounded and
it adds like a dramatic residency to the whole show and it gives it another layer on top of
the suspense and the horror stuff so and the fantasy the sci-fi fantasy so I'm very I'm very
again interested to see where we go along with that because again we're in such a
different places with our main group right now like jonathan's off in california nancy's still
in hawkins and then dust and step and and that whole core over there lucas is with the basketball guys
and will and mike are completely uh you know very distant with each other as well so it's going to be
again our favorite moments i think you know pretty much when the whole group dynamic comes
together in the last couple episodes so i'm going to be fascinated to see when everything comes
and we resolve our issues when it comes to the whole growing apart thing so i think they're
they're really executing on it nicely so far yeah we shall see all right guys we do have to get
out of here but do all the right things leave a like leave a comment um subscribe all that stuff
we love y'all and we will see you on the next one
