We cover every storyline: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) facing her past with Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser), Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), and Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) trapped in the Upside Down, while Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink), and Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson) send messages from Hawkins with a Lite-Brite. Meanwhile, Hopper (David Harbour) fights a Demogorgon in Russia with Dmitri (Tom Wlaschiha) as Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) mount a daring rescue. We break down Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower) being revealed as Number One and Vecna, why the massacre at Hawkins Lab matters for the Upside Down, and how it sets the stage for Stranger Things 5 / Stranger Things Season 5. More on them in just a bit.
And here we go.
Alrighty, guys.
If you're listening to us on App or Spotify,
please give us a five-star rating.
We appreciate you.
Also, if you haven't listened to my new podcast,
it's called The RachePod.
I would love for you to check in, download,
give that five stars.
Let me know what you think.
Okay, guys, we're going to dive right into our questions here from our patrons.
Oh, no, thank you to prep for helping to edit down these highlights.
We super appreciate you.
Okay, let's freaking do this.
Jessica Hauser, season four was released in two parts.
Episodes 1 through 7 was part 1, released May 27, 2022, and episodes 8 and 9 were part 2 released
July 1st, 2022.
During episode 6, each group is making progress in their own way, a little bit at a time.
what would you like to see happen in episode seven to close out part one um obviously we've watched
uh part seven that's episode seven yeah um some of these questions i think will be a mix of
possibly six and seven yeah so um because we had to move up the schedule a little bit so that's cool
that um that they were released in separate parts and yes i'm also glad jesska that we don't
have to wait for a part two yeah i would if i mean luckily i guess for you guys you only had to wait
what like a month and four days because if i would have had to wait even longer than that i would
have been like i need to know who feckness or whoever this this orderly is this is killing me so uh
again i'm i'm glad you guys when you were watching it at the time didn't have to wait way too
long and i'm and obviously we are spoiled because we just got to go through it right away do you
I mean, you were watching it at the time, although I know you say you don't remember, but do you even remember the two parts?
No.
I actually do not.
Okay.
It's very sad how much I don't remember.
It's wackadown.
Honestly, we've talked about.
We go through so much media.
I get it.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's do our next question from Hacina Ali.
I'll read this one real quick.
You take the next one.
So glad to see you guys experience this great show.
I can't believe it's almost a decade ago when I started watching.
this after hearing this is Wynonna Writers' next new Netflix show.
What a great comeback. We both agree.
For a show set in the 80s, there's been some great actors who were big in the 80s appear
on the show like Wynonna, Sean Astin, Carrie Ells, Robert, England.
There's another person from the major 80s film who appeared in season 5.
Are there any stars from the 80s you wish would have appeared on the show and I hope that
they will be in season 5?
By the way, thank you for not spoiling who isn't ever in season 5 because Tara and I have no clue
and we like giving you genuine reactions
where we don't know a thing.
So thank you.
I just wanted to say we appreciate that.
I mean, my, again,
this person is not obviously the best actor,
but he's my favorite.
And I think he's the most entertaining actor
I've ever seen.
And he's the biggest action star of all time.
I'm going to go with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I don't know how he would fit in this show,
but he's just like he's the biggest star of the 80s too.
So, you know, I think, I think he would,
because this show highlights the 80s
in such a way, you know, I think he would be fun to somehow insert into the show.
I don't know how, but yeah, and I know he played, I know they're doing the Russians here
in this season, but, I mean, he did play a Russian in Red Heat, I think the film was called
in 1980, directed by Walter Hill, I think, with James Belushi, I could be wrong on that,
but yeah, so I don't know what role Arnold would have, but I would love to see Arnold and Stranger
things.
I think that'd be fun.
How about you?
Since you chose him, I'm just going to go Stallone.
Yeah.
let's freaking go man put the two of them in the same time in the final season that would be dope
do it do with so much it would just be so cool to have him like pop up in here i mean i would adore that
and i think that it would be so much fun the terminator and rambo and stranger things exactly that's
like a missed opportunity so do it all right from melissa taylor thank you so much for being a royal
reject and for asking a question we appreciate it
Hey, Tara. Glad to see you back, Andrew. Thank you. I appreciate it. I hope you and your family are holding up okay. I appreciate that. Thank you so much. My question for this episode is, do you think Vecna is aware that he created more gates? Do you think he is intentionally allowing more access into the upside down? Or are the gates in inadvertent side effect to his attacks that create a weakness our heroes can take advantage of?
that's a very fascinating question i mean i'm usually often wrong about predictions and these
kinds of things um i feel like he's quite aware of what goes on in the upside down it seems
like he is at least so to me like he seems like he's in control of all these different types
of facets of his mind and just again what happens in the upside down so i think he's aware
well that's just me what about you i don't think he's aware you know i'm kind of with you on that
he um i mean his main thing is is that every time he kills he gets stronger um and i'm not sure
that he knows that they're onto him in regards to they know where the gates are and where to look
right meaning going back to christie and where she died where she was pulled through um or that
they're communicating through the lights the the info that matches what he is saying meaning that he
would know is because Nancy's in the pool and then she's on the stairs and he's like,
I've been waiting for you, right?
He's talking to her as though like, okay, he saw her try to get out, brought her back
in, didn't let her go.
I'm not sure, but I don't know.
I kind of think that there is a bit of weakness because I don't think that he actually
would have allowed Eddie and, well, Steve is still in the upside down, possibly.
we haven't cut back to that um i don't think he would have let them go back to the real world i think
you would have kept them there to kill them because it gives him strength right so i'm thinking
that it is a weakness for him and i'm wondering what happens when he finds out yeah no i that's a
i think that's a very fair point i just think also too like we saw him pulling steve from the water gate
and then also he pulled nancy from eddy's gate as with the eddie's house gate so that's why i'm also
inclined to think he could know about the multiple gates i don't know i guess we'll see we'll see
all right chase lee thank you both for reacting to this amazing show i know life has been
lifing and flash my deepest condolences to you thank you chase as this season is about grief
and loss i hope you take comfort in the presence and memory of your family and close friends
the ones that love us never leave us i love that chase appreciate it and his actual question is
seeing how nancy immediately dives in after steve do you think that's due to her now
natural badassery or some remaining feelings.
I don't know if she'd do that for anyone else in the group except Mike.
Yeah, I was talking about that during the reaction.
I think she is, well, she's a badass in general.
I mean, I think there's a combination of the both.
She clearly has feelings for Steve.
I mean, as we saw because we reacted now to episode seven.
And we still, before episode seven, we knew she had feelings for Steve.
And she's still deep down also loves Jonathan as well.
So I don't think it mattered that Steve went into the,
water or it was mike or it was jonathan whoever fell into that water she's a good samaritan a good
human being and no matter who went into the water if it was an innocent life she would jump in after
them that's just the type of person nancy is so yeah of course she did not hesitate that it was
someone that she did love but i feel like she would not hesitate no matter who was in that water
yeah i think it's a bit of both like she's a badass and she obviously has some remaining feelings for
Steve. We know that simply because the way she looked at him in the last episode before he gets
out of that boat, she tells him to be careful. And the way she's wrapping him up, give me a
freaking break. We all felt that. She rips off part of her skirt and they're like, sorry. And you're
like, you guys are so not sorry to be like that close. You can feel it through the screen. That is
through chemistry and I love it. So there is what I think they're trying to show the audience is that
Obviously, I don't think Nancy would ever cross a boundary, but there is still that chemistry, that those unresolved feelings are still there.
And I'm very curious how the story is going to resolve that.
Where is it going to take us with Jonathan and with Steve and with Nancy?
We'll see.
I'm excited.
All right, Rejugation.
We'll be coming off summer.
I'm still going to be working out five to six times a week, filming constantly and trying to stay dialed in with my energy.
But honestly, you know, fall hits.
And suddenly everything feels a little bit harder to keep up with.
Still, I want to take my health seriously.
I've dropped nearly 50 pounds this year and dropped down from over 20% body fat to now 8%.

this video all right from rennie hi terra and andrew hi rennie can't believe y'all are almost done with
this season of stranger things what did you all think of the vectna
Henry, 101, their one backstory, P.S. sending you so much love, Andrew. Rennie, I seriously
appreciate it. And I appreciate all you at Reject Nation. You have, as I've mentioned on a few videos,
made the worst week of my life just a little bit better. And I love you and appreciate you all for it.
So thank you so much, Rennie. What did you think of the reveal of Vecna, Henry, the backstory?
I really liked it. I mean, they're obviously, you know, the fact that Papa starts,
of this whole thing to recreate one and he goes through all of these numbers and they're pretty
good some stronger than others and then they land on 11 and that's sort of his match um and that's why
i think that there i don't know if there was ever if we ever saw a 12 or a 13 if if we ever saw
one after her when we're on that that session um but i do love his backstory you know he did go
through a lot of pain and sort of torture with pop
so he has all that unresolved rage if you will and the second he made that kill and he he looked at
his nose and he like wiped it and he was like with each kill i felt stronger it's almost like
an addiction for him so i'm not surprised that he is now where he is because of where 11 has put him
he is seeking vengeance absolutely um i thought it was one of the best twists and i'm not saying that
because a recency bias i'm saying it because it was awesome i had no idea i didn't see it coming
and also you know we saw excuse me also the fact that he's freddie kruger's son
because robert england of course is his father in the in the show that's awesome in itself
very meta but i think his motivations are very fascinating how he looks at
time is like an actual clock on like what are we living for and like how it all is just like
just his silly or not silly his twisted outlook on life it's it's compelling even though it doesn't
justify what he does but you understand his motivations i think those are the best villains you don't
agree with them or justify what they're doing but you understand their mindset on what they're
doing or why they are doing what they are doing and i get it and he's very missing in his mind he's
very misunderstood. It's like, what is the point of all this living? We're just all going to die
anyway. So, and, you know, humans are just, uh, insults at the end of the day. And like,
what is the point of all this? It's a silly little play that we're all doing here. So I,
I really thought his backstory. And then like, again, how we got into when we first saw Victor
Creel's backstory when Robert England, uh, Victor Creel rather was explaining it. And we saw
his son faint like, what a great way to make us the audience, you know, off the scent of
thinking it was Henry because when he fainted there and like I just thought it was
Vecna in the upside down like did something to his son and was attacking from the upside down like
I would have never thought it was Henry such a great twist and it just it dramatically hit
because I understood where he was coming from even though I didn't agree with it was so well
handled so well executed again there's still two more episodes this is by far my favorite villain
of the four of the four seasons so far I've been granted like he's
actually got a voice in and has a real backstory at all that but also the the um uh just the fact
that um it's just it's a very dramatic backstory is one it has such a twist to it so i i loved it
it was incredible so bravo well done duffer brothers and writing team love it next one is from
tim pork roll thank you so much again for the hellfire club shirts i had to put my sweater on
because it's so cold of this studio now that you know vachna's true identity which kudos
is Andrew from correctly guessing
in the four times five reaction?
I don't even remember.
What are your predictions for the last two episodes?
Also, hope you guys enjoy the Hellfire Shirts.
We did.
Thank you, Tim.
You are amazing.
We're loving them.
Guys, this is what we're talking about.
Tara wasn't just lying when she says,
I don't even remember.
Like, I don't even remember half the crap I have seen some of these reactions.
When I see like someone saying the comments, you said this in the video, I'm like,
I don't even remember.
But yeah, what are our predictions for the last two episodes?
I'm just got to go with the obvious stuff.
I see the whole team coming together and stopping Vecna as kind of the obvious thing, right?
Will and Mike possibly hooking up.
I think they've been slightly hinting at that.
We'll see.
Trying to think what else.
I'm curious how they're going to stop Vecna.
Maybe like he's going to meet face to face with Brenner.
That's kind of building up now that we see they've got a history.
together as well as um you know henry or vectna and and 11 so yeah i don't know and also i'm
so curious to see what we're going to do and to resolve this love triangle between steve nancy
and jonathan like i'm so anxious to see that so i just want to see susy and and dusty bun
embrace each other and kiss like that's the that's gonna be the biggest thing when you know a good
sun's what's it called the not the master shot is it the golden hour shot i want to see a golden
hour shot of Susie and Dusty
with the never-ending song
you know, a never-ending story
songs in the background.
That's just all I want. That's my prediction.
What about you? I love it.
You know, I am a little scared
because 11 is obviously
one's match. She sent him through that gate.
She thought of what she needed to and she
put him in his place.
But now that he has killed
an army of people, which has
only made him strong,
you know my thing is is like 11 is our weapon but it's not going to be enough and I'm very
curious how we are going to get to Vecna like as a group I hope but how is our group going to help
11 to get past him because he is so strong now with all these dead bodies I I just am very
intrigued by it and like man how is Hopper and
And Winona coming back into that, like, you know, now that they're, you know, they're embracing, they're in that prison, do we have a way out to get back home?
And then what do we do?
I mean, Hopper would definitely be one to help 11.
Obviously, Winona would be there for the kids as well.
Does that give them enough power to somehow put Vecna in his place so that we can kill him?
I don't know.
Yeah.
And one last thing before we move on the next question.
I'm going to say something that Tara said in episode four, which was, I'd say that episode
and this episode are probably two of the past episodes I've seen in all four seasons.
And there have been some great ones, may I add as well.
So that's some high praise.
Tara said in episode four of season four that that was one of the best episodes and 11 wasn't
even in that episode.
And in this episode, this was also one of the best episodes.
And Mike was not in this episode.
Will was not in this episode.
Jonathan was not in this episode, Nargile was not in this episode.
It's quite a statement to be made when you can have some of the best episodes
and so many main characters are not in the episode.
That's some impressive freaking writing.
So I just want to throw praise again.
I know I've been praising the Duffer brothers in the writing team,
but they really deserve it.
It's incredible what they're able to do without having some of the main characters
on these episodes went and still do what they do.
I agree. It's amazing. Yeah. All right.
From Chase Lee. Thank you so much. Chase for being a royal reject and frasking in question again, buddy. I don't know if you all guessed the twist beforehand, but I did not. And that cemented this as the best season of an almost perfect show. Speaking of an almost perfect show, would you both be interested in watching Game of Thrones? Antonov's, Enzo's character is famously from that show. And Andrew is,
missing so many opportunities to reference.
I'm going to have to have a talk with Greg
about me doing Game of Thrones.
We're going to have to do something about that, right, Tara?
Yep.
Okay, well, we'll see what I can do.
We'll see what we can do.
I'm just going to bother Greg until he lets me do it.
Okay, we'll work on it for you guys.
We will.
All right, last question.
Hope you love these.
This is from Sarah Thompson Hall.
She says, hope you have loved these concluding episodes
to part one of season four.
In the Rejects podcast, Greg and Coy,
I've talked a few times about shows like Stranger Things airing in theaters as a way to help boost box office since it's so cinematic.
I think that this season would be amazing in the theater.
Would you watch Stranger Things in the theater?
And are there other TV shows you would like to see on the big screen?
Hell, yes.
Let me say that one more time.
Hell yes.
I would watch Stranger.
I'd watch whole four seasons.
I mean, it would take a long time to get through.
But season four in particular, 100% I would see then theaters.
I know what season, Taryn, I would love to see in theater season two, the Halloween season.
to the Halloween season.
That would be fun. Spook season, baby.
That would be super fun?
Well, I'll let you answer the,
would you see this in theaters,
and then we can think of what TV shows
we'd like to see on the big screen.
I definitely would.
I think Chaseley, because you mentioned Game of Thrones.
I have seen it.
No, I know, but I'm going back to Chaseley.
So, yes, I would watch Ranger things,
but Chaseley, since you mentioned Game of Thrones,
I have watched it once when it first came out.
I don't, obviously, as we know me,
it was a long time ago when it came out.
So I don't remember much,
but that would definitely be a show that I would watch in theaters.
I think that that would be so much fun.
And yeah, I mean, I guess shows like really any HBO show, right?
Like imagine you got to see like penguin or like severance.
I mean, that's an appal show.
That too.
I mean, he loves entourage.
I love entourage a lot.
Yeah, shows like that that are really epic.
like imagine seeing
um calisi on a dragon
like that kind of his vibe would be amazing to see i don't know what she's talking about
obviously you know what i would watch in theaters
smallville i love smallville a lot if you didn't know
you won't shut up about it it's such a good show he's already rewatched all the seasons
you know what else over 10 times you know what i would also watch in theaters you know
what my actual favorite show is of all you know what my favorite sitcom is a
all time boy meets world i would watch that
my god that's a great that's a great show i haven't seen that in so long it's good it's on
disney plus if you want to watch it you know what else i would watch in theaters and i'm being
really serious i would watch batman the animated series in theaters that's my favorite animated
show of all time i'd watch that in theaters i have never seen that you really need to it's
amazing that show that would be cool that show i would watch in theaters for sure i know it's an it's an
animated it's not a live action TV show but I don't care I'd watch that in theaters I love it
yeah yeah even like because I think succession was one of the best TV shows on TV I would watch
succession in a movie theater only because that acting is prime time the drama is just 10 out of 10
I love it um anyway we love season four of stranger things obviously this is one of our favorite
episodes as it seems to be one of your guys's favorite episodes too
We're so lucky that we don't have to wait for 8.9 and we'll probably wait a week or two.
But not as long as y'all had to wait.
And yeah, I'm just very excited to continue this journey.
Please keep giving us all the love, support, the comments, the likes.
And yeah, we will see you on the next one.
