The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is an eight-episode episode Hulu original limited series that blends gripping pacing with emotional complexity, offering a dramatized look as it revisits the wrongful conviction of Amanda Knox for the tragic murder of Meredith Kircher and the relentless media storm that followed.
The twisted tale of Amanda Knox is now streaming only on Disney Plus.
you are, pushing your newborn baby in a stroller through the park.
The first time out of the house in weeks, you have your Starbucks, venty, because, you know,
sleep deprivation, you meet your best friend, she asks you how it's going, you immediately
begin to laugh, then cry, then laugh cry, that's totally normal, right?
She smiles, you hug, there's no one else you'd rather share this with.
You know, three and a half hour sleep is more than enough.
Starbucks, it's never just coffee.
Hughel for sponsoring this video more on them in just a bit let's get to the episode let's do
it let's follow us at row rejects everywhere yes you can all right in stranger things season
four episode eight three two one damn what an episode hell yeah that song got me going
we have to wait we have to wait we have to wait months to watch the next one Tara
all right we're going to go straight to our patreon questions first one is from
gabriel do you think there will be any casualties in the finale if so
please name the top three characters you really hope will make it through oh by the
way thank you to prepper for writing me on these highlights oh yeah duh if you're
listening to us on app or Spotify please give us a five star rating yes thank you to
prepper so so much. If you're on the
YouTube, like, comment, subscribe when you do
ring the bell, ring the bell.
Please name the top three characters
who could be casual. I mean, I'm
afraid for Matt. Oh, go check out my podcast, the RagePod.
Do it. Do it.
I don't even want to name. Do it with rage when you do it.
God, I'm really afraid for Max. Just because her brother
had a sacrificial ending
and a very noble one at that in the last season. So like the
parallels.
are frightening to me.
I agree.
I'm scared about that.
Who else am I fearful?
I mean,
and the stakes are high, so it really could be anyone,
but honestly, it's Max right now.
So I don't know if I would name a top three.
I would just say Max is my biggest fear
because she's the one who they're using as bait.
So I think that's...
Well, he said, name the top three characters
that you really hope will make it through.
My bad, my bad.
I'm not going with a top three.
top three. I want everyone to make it through. I know. I'm like, I, sorry. That's a, like,
that's a really hard question. Yeah, no, for sure. It's, it's a tough one, but I want Argyle to make
it through at least. I need to see someone stone next season, okay? Yeah, I can't name a top three
because I love everyone. That's just, that's, that's a really, really, that's such a hard question.
Yeah. Because if we lost any of our prime time, meaning Hopper, Joyce, 11, Mike, Will,
Bill, Jonathan, Nancy, Steve, Dustin, Lucas, Erica, Robin.
Those are the core, and it's a lot.
Even Susie, I'd be sad.
Susie and Max, of course, but it's like a little iffy in there.
Oh, I just, I can't even answer that question.
I hope that there's no casualties, but I assume that there will be and it's going to kill us.
I know.
It's going to kill us.
It's really going to hurt.
All right.
Next question.
from Jessica Hauser.
So here we are.
One more left.
The episodes in season
four are longer than usual,
for the most part,
almost like individual movies.
Did you enjoy the longer episodes?
How do you feel about the pacing?
I love them.
I mean,
I think the pacing works well.
I don't mind longer episodes
as long as you
as long as you actually have a story
to tell.
If they're just longer to be longer,
that's fine because I think
like with how the first three reasons
were done,
that's the story that they were telling
in the,
the time work of the frame that they were doing,
but because there is so much with Vecna's
backstory, with the history
and the trauma
that we are doing with L
as well, I mean, there is, and all
the different storylines that we are
segueing into one here.
Hopper being in Russia, Joyce and Merr,
there's a lot to tell in this season.
I think it was the right move by
the Duffer brothers and the writing team
to make these episodes longer. I don't
think if they would have just done the normal eight or nine
episodes like we have the eight or nine already,
but if they would have just done them at an hour, 58 minutes to an hour,
they wouldn't have been able to tell everything that they're telling right now.
So I think it was the smart move.
I think it was the appropriate move.
And I think every, like, I have not felt for one moment that there has been any dragging along the season.
I've actually felt like I want more at times even.
I'm with you on that.
We watch so many movies.
So for this, the longer episodes, the pacing is perfect.
There's so many movies that I'm like,
Oh, my God, I'm so aware of the time.
I'm not aware of the time when I'm watching these episodes
because of the way that it is directed along with the cinematography and the script.
And because of so many things happening in the different places,
but the continuity of them all and the way that they stitch it together,
they do it in a really smart way that you don't feel lost
when you're moving through different parts of this world.
You're very easily able to like, oh, yeah, got it.
Okay, now we go to this story, and it doesn't feel like confusing or too much.
And normally, I'm sure you've seen me in other movies or TV shows that I'm like, yeah, if they could have cut it down to an hour, I would have been happier.
I'm, no.
Like, the longer, the better, I am here for it because they know how to do it.
Just like you said, there are many movies.
Yes, they are.
And they get the right to do that because of their brilliant work.
Next question from Mone.
Stranger Things. Last time I checked in with you guys, it was in episodes four and five.
The Steve and Nancy juice was just amping up. Now that we're in the height of it, how do you feel about Steve and Nancy's conversation in the RV?
It was actually quite a polarizing and controversial scene when the episode aired because a lot of people hated it and felt as though Steve was trying to manipulate Nancy into wanting to live this exact variation of life with him.
I mean, I personally did not feel that way in any shape, way, shape, or form, excuse me.
I just felt that was Steve just telling her the kind of life he wants to live.
And I think that him and Nancy are just at a place in a time where they feel the same way about each other.
And just, again, they're mentally attuned with each other and in that same place.
So I didn't personally feel he was emotionally manipulating her into that way.
I mean, Nancy is a woman who does not let people dictate what she does or what she says.
she's never come off that way
and I mean granted like at the news
station like people of power above her
but she still stands her ground
and all that so yeah
Nancy is not she's you know
she's not that type of human being
so I never felt that way and she was also
meeting Steve you know halfway there like she could
have said oh that's that's beautiful I hope
you meet the right woman and that works out or
I don't personally see myself going there so
I didn't feel that way you
yeah I think when you look at the
direction if you pay attention to steve's performance the way steve even delivers it towards the end
of his monologue he is looking out dazing out and going like just you know end up on the beach and
like live life he's not there's no manipulation there i think if you're manipulating someone you're
going to try a little bit harder to get them on your side yeah um the the six kids the six nuggets
even though she fought back about it being like oh you know it would be a
nightmare. Even his line of like, well, I've got a lot of practice is totally true. And it's very
cute because he has. Like if you've recognized Steve's behavior now, it's like he's,
Dustin is like a brother to him. And now because of that, so is Lucas and the rest of the team.
Right. So he's very much taking care of them. And I think if you pay attention to performance
and the monologue, then I would go back to anyone leaving those comments to pay more attention
to the performance and I think take out the polarizing concept of it because I don't think
that that actually happened at all. And I think what was happening though, what was in the writing
and the underneath in that was there is still obviously a chemistry, a flirtation, a romantic
type of connection, you know, obviously in the way that they look at each other in the way that
they're talking about future things, right? I'm sure that Steve would not mind.
to have Nancy in his future life, obviously.
But during that conversation,
he was not trying to pull her on to his side.
At all, I don't believe that.
Yeah, and Nancy's got a backbone,
so she's going to do what she wants to do.
Yeah.
Next question from Tara or Tara.
Good name.
I don't know if you pronounce it the same as I.
Hi, Tara and Andrew.
Would you share your thoughts on the scene
in the back of the van, aside from the acting?
What are your thoughts on Will sharing his feelings with Mike?
but using L rather than himself so he's able to tell Mike how he feels without actually coming out to Mike.
I thought as per usual from the actor who plays Will, you'd think I know his damn name by now.
He's such a wonderful actor.
I thought it was a beautifully acted scene and also a way to express how he's feeling without saying it as you just mentioned.
Yeah, I mean, I started reading into that earlier on in the season.
And I mean, when you're afraid to express how you feel about someone because you're afraid of rejection,
which I have been in that boat so many freaking times in my life,
so I could totally resonate where Will was coming from.
Yeah, for sure.
And I think using L in that vein as like subtext or substitute rather for himself,
I think was like the way to do it there.
But I think, you know, he was hoping that Mike was going to read between the lines
and know like, hey, even though to understand like I'm really talking about myself here,
not L, but also at the same point too, I think.
think I mentioned as we were reacting in real time, it's not easy, but a form of love too is if someone doesn't want you is accepting the fact that you have to let them, because you can't force it. So you have to let them also love the person that they want as well. You know, because what kind of love is that when you have to force it, right? Yeah. So, but it was an incredibly acted scene and I really felt it and I resonated with it. Yeah. He's a, he's a really, you know, brilliant actor, which is why they put him in the variable,
vulnerable position of season one.
He had to be there because of so much
emotion. And you really read
that, you know, towards the end of that
monologue when he turns, you know, his face
away and he sort of cries because
he's not really there yet to like
come out to Mike. And
you know, over and over he was saying,
but you won't lose that person. You haven't
lost her. You still have
her. Like, trust me
on this. And that's
basically, and also
wrapped up with the fear of him saying,
you know, that she's scared and he may be scared, you know,
and obviously Will is very scared to actually tell Mike legitimately how he feels.
Although, you know, him explaining the painting that he's the heart
and sort of the head of the group was very sweet.
And then it got more hidden in the metaphors after that.
But I think we'll have to get to a point where Mike will once all this settles
will realize, but for right now, Mike just, he can't, you couldn't be there.
Like, you're not going to be focused on your friend's sexuality or where they,
which way they swing in that moment.
You're not going to read into any of it.
Why?
Because your girlfriend's a superhero and also she's lost and, like, people might die.
You're in life and death situations right now.
It's just not even in the scope of things that we're even thinking about.
So the way that they wrote it, because it will.
wouldn't have been good timing he can't even he cannot say it there right it would be ridiculous it's not
the time but the way that he could kind of get it out was him giving that talking him up about l and i thought
it was really beautiful yeah but i did like the subtextual intimacy that was involved in that scene was
beautifully acted again me too reject nation at the start of this year i was sitting over 20% body fat
218 pounds i was end of january as of a couple weeks ago finally took the photos i've been talking
about it all year I completed the mission six-pack abs came in 8% body fat 170 pounds you can check
out all the transformations on instagram but that's not why I'm here today I'm here today to tell you
that a big part of how I accomplished that journey was about staying consistent with my nutrition
and the best way to do this is by keeping things simple like having a hughal black edition ready
to drink a complete meal in a bottle have these a couple times a week that first crack it's always
amazing. It's a full meal and a bottle packed with 40 grams of protein, 27 vitamins and
minerals, slow release carbs, low sugar, no prep, no cleanup, just shake it and go. I've got
a fridge full of these. We've got three fridges and they're all full of them. I'd like to
grab them on shoot days, gym days, or I'm just too damn tired to cook, which is an often
Greg thing. But more importantly, they taste good. Chocolate and vanilla. Classics are my go-toes.
Smooth taste like actual milkshake. But they got a whole bunch of other flavors you can catch
on their website, plus it's under three bucks a meal,
which has helped my gains and my budget.

All right, Ricky Gardner.
Terry to Andrew, I hope you're both doing good
as you can be, what do you think of the episode
being the setup for the finale? We had
to wait an extra week or so to see it after
episode eight, and it was so hard.
Have a wonderful day. Well,
I guess Tara and I have to do the same
thing, because we're not reacting to it
next week. You get behind the scenes
info here. Yeah, so I feel
your pain right now. Yeah.
Because I can tell you this right now.
If I were at home watching this, I'd be
watching it right now.
Totally. So, um,
I think it was an incredible setup. I,
with how we just are literally about to walk into Vecna slash Henry slash
one's home, however you say it.
And just everything else with Sullivan and Pursuit,
L. in the van with Argyle and Jonathan and Mike and Will.
And then Yuri, God knows doing what.
And waiting for the, I guess, Owens.
I mean, I don't know how he's going to call them now.
you know joyce and crew back in russia so i i can't wait to see what happens i have no idea i'm
stressed about possibly max or any i don't know everyone's possibly in danger you know because
vectna is just such an uh such a supernatural force that his powers are just like it feels
like unlimited so i think the set again just to answer the question a lot quicker i can't wait
I hate that I have to wait right now
But it also makes it
But also too I like the fact that I have to
Because then it's not going to be over
And then I don't have to wait for season 5
But I'm definitely going to do a rewatch on my own
Just to see if I can pick up on things
And I think also too what this episode did so great
The world building and the history context
It gave us of like
All this was because of Papa
Everything was because of him
And because of his self-serving interests
But it also gave us one of the best
best shows ever so you know as much as we hate him as an audience we're grateful that you know we get a
we get an incredible storyline what about yeah we got to pay off at the end when she she doesn't say
i understand she just says goodbye papa and the way that she walks away you can see her start to walk
and then stand straight up and march on so you know that she's now just like leaving that and him
behind um and i think it's a great setup for the finale what i'm mostly excited by is just
Joyce Hopper and Murray getting back to Hawkins and for Elle to finally see Hopper and hug
Joyce and like be with them but also fight down this demon together.
I mean, that's how most of the finalies and when we get towards the end of each season,
they do a really good job of bringing the team all of them back together to then fight,
which is what we all want to see.
I mean, if you think about them in the mall, how cool was that, right?
That was awesome.
And they all get back to the other, we're like, yes.
So I'm assuming that that is what is going to happen here.
That's true.
And I'm stoked to see it.
And now that we're very prepped with weapons and all of that, which is awesome.
But they don't know that their secret weapon will be there to actually help them.
Oh, and I just realized, too, I'm also so nervous in the finale when they all do get to Hawkins.
The whole Gaston and the mob, Jason and the mob are all coming after hellfire and all that.
So like we got all their weapons.
got so much to deal with right now.
Got a lot going on. Even if
Vecna does invade the real world and the
monsters, like they're going to think, they're the ones
controlling that. It's like...
Yep. So I don't know. That's where I think
Joyce Hopper and Murray would step in and if they
are able to bring like
the weapons back with them.
Right. I feel like they'd be like, uh-uh.
I just think, I'll take you down.
All fucking hell is going to break loose in this
finale and I can't freak or we
can't freaking wait. Yeah, we can't wait.
All right. Next question from Tara
or Tara, don't know how you pronounce it.
Regarding Steve, Nancy and Jonathan,
assuming they all survive at the end of season five.
At this point, who do you think Nancy will end up with?
Who do you think that she should end up with?
I assume you mean season four.
Yeah, I think you.
I hope you mean season four.
Oh, I mean, I hope.
Season five's not out yet.
So she has no idea.
Season four is probably what you met.
I mean, loving these reactions and look forward to them every week.
I can't believe you're almost caught up
and I have to wait for the rest of us.
I am totally with you on that.
What are you thinking?
God, that's so hard.
I love John and I love Steve so much.
I don't know how to answer this.
Honestly, who do I hope she ends up with?
I feel like such a dick no matter who I pick.
That rhymed, too.
I didn't even mean to do that.
I really don't because, like, I love her with both of them.
And again, like, I get why Jonathan, like,
I don't feel like he needed a break from Nancy per se,
but like he just needed a second to breathe.
then relaxed because of all the reasons I said in the last couple reviews where he had the weight
of his shoulders literally, just from all the responsibilities had with his family and also
saving Hawkins in the world, I guess, from all these supernatural things. And that's also why
he developed into this phase of just smoking some weed for a little bit. So I love him and Nancy
together a lot, but I also, I don't know. But that's good writing on the show when you don't know
who you want someone to end up with.
Like, it's, if you as an audience go,
I don't like that guy, I want her to end up with the,
then that's not interesting.
Right.
So I'm sorry, Tara Tarah, I don't know,
but I'll be happy and sad whoever she ends up with.
I'll be happy for whoever she ends up with and sad for the other,
is all I will say.
But yeah, and I hope everyone survives, of course.
I'm kind of thinking, you know, at this point, because she is now getting close to going to college, I think, that she may not end up with anybody.
She may just choose not to choose either.
I mean, it's like we're leaning more towards Steve solely because of the way that the physical attraction, the attraction there just overall from the top was obviously there.
We saw also a few episodes ago
The way she looks at him on the boat
When she's wrapping him up
They have this chemistry that is like undeniable
And there's there's a moment there
That I'm sure the writers are going to write
Like redemption Steve
Like he's grown a lot
He's obviously grown on us
And now he has been sort of a dad
To like the kids, right?
This grown up mentor to them
But you know
At the same time Jonathan's gone
And he is still
the same like he's a mentor to his brothers but he's gone like i've said this in multiple episodes
he's more like with argyle he's getting like high a lot he's not quite sure where he belongs
and that vibe is not necessarily nancy's vibe right so you know story wise we're inching and showing
the audience more that steve and her are compatible at this moment and we're not sure about jonathan
he's just sort of like it's up in the air because we haven't seen the old Jonathan back
the one who is obviously the nice guy who travels with her who does the journalism he's smart he's
going to help her out find out this story we're not there yet I feel like on this journey though
like towards where they've been looking for Elle I feel like I've seen glimpses of that
Jonathan personally yeah yeah for sure but also I will say this and we'll get right here to the last
question if Steve does end up with Nancy of course I'll be sad for Jonathan
but I've been told in the comments that in real life,
the actor who plays Jonathan,
the actress who plays Nancy,
they are dating in real life.
So I guess he will have won in real life.
So congratulations to you for them too.
All right.
Last question from Tori Jerry.
This is the first episode of two
that came out after the month-long break
in between the season.
This is the first time Netflix did this.
So do you actually think the break was effective
with the season's story?
How do you feel going into the finale?
I mean, all I would say is if it were in real time, if we had to wait, it would definitely be tough to do.
But I just experienced it with Greg and John and with the rest of you when we had to do it for Cobra Chi in the final season here, season six, I believe it was.
We had a part one, a part two, part three where they did five episodes, five episodes, five episodes, 15 episodes in the first five seasons.
It was all ten episodes right away.
So that was definitely tough to do.
But, you know, the payoff was incredible.
It's some of the best episodes of Cobra Kai I've ever seen, and these are incredible.
As long as you get a good product in the end, I know the weight sucks a lot of times.
I always say, as long as you get something great in the end, like, I will take weight with amazing storytelling and great characters over getting something right away and getting something terrible in return.
So I think in that regard, I'll take the weight.
And how do I feel?
I think we kind of answered how we feel about going the finale.
We are beyond pumped.
I hate that. I have to wait one more, an extra week.
But again, I just, I'm excited.
I'm scared.
And it's also bittersweet because then Tara and I have to wait.
I assume we're going to be doing it with John and Greg is just my assumption for season five.
So just so many different array of emotions.
This has been just such an incredible journey since we started months ago in season one, episode one.
I can't believe we're here.
It's crazy.
It's wild.
I do think it was very effective because where they left,
left us was that it's not confirmed that Elle has her powers back, right? We had to wait for that. That was confirmed in this episode when we finally get to see her and we're like, oh, snap, she's back. And I think that's a really good turning point for these last two episodes to make us hang on to that. And also, we kind of don't know how Yuri before this, it was all hanging on by a thread, right? How Yuri Hopper,
Joyce are going to get out of this predicament in Russia.
We don't know if 11's fully going to get her powers back,
what the hell Papa's going to do.
And we don't know if Max is still going to die.
And we're under, we're underneath, right?
We're like, we went underneath and we came back up,
but then it's like, what, the actual F?
So having you wait for that, I think was a smart, smart move.
Good point.
To get you in this mode of like, holy snap, I need to know what happens.
And that's just smart writing.
smart direction on their part um so anyway we're very excited to watch the um the last
finale it's probably going to be like two weeks in between for us yeah so that sucks but it is
what it is um because we have to shoot so many more things it'll be out the five the next week
for you guys don't worry yeah it's it's a we're yes um so uh anyhow just letting you guys
know where we are at but we have loved doing this please even like a comment on this um
