It was dense. It was a lot going on. There was a lot of, you know, new developments and new games were playing. I feel like maybe a little bit of, I don't know, maybe a shot of dynamics. We've gotten a couple of, you know, people paired off that we don't normally.

And, you know, we've had some pretty fun games across this block. feeling good how are you i'm feeling good as well largely it was interesting because the way we ended season two it seemed like we're going to continue on with the will they won't they what's what the thing's going to be like after they get back and then it sort of seems like we're just going to get people what they want we're just going to launch hard into Leonard and penny we're not going to play any more games but they were just going to do the damn thing do the damn and i was like okay unexpected but not an unpleasant surprise here yeah and i'm like okay finally we got it And maybe it feels like there's some sort of a beater conflict, maybe a little bit skipped from them being like, oh, that was weird.

It's just like the 11 wasn't what we expected it to be. And then the next episode, they're in a relationship. And I was like, oh, okay. All right. We kind of just like leapfrogged over to full on committed, which, you know, I'm happy that we're there. I feel like maybe the transition to getting there Could have been a little smoother But I'm not mad at the results overall

I think this was a really fun block Those first two episodes With wait can you pull back up The freaking The freaking description so The full episodes Yes and then Yeah second episode they got real drunk

Because they were trying to figure out What was happening between the two of them And then the other gang was trying to figure out What was going on with the ticket thing. A ticket cricket. So yeah, that was an unexpected discovery because I fully expected Sheldon to be irritated by the fact that there's a cricket there and vow to destroy said cricket.

But they went a different route with it, which was a pleasant surprise. I thought that was very fun. And surprising that he did not win that bet. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was a humbling moment for him. Exactly.

He's been so right, obnoxiously so, so many times. It's about time. We got a little humbled. So I was not mad at that. And we got a little Lewis Black in there. Very fun to see him for a minute there. He's bringing his trademark rage. Yep.

You know, classic. And we got a couple of cameos in this block. We got, yeah, look, you said Lewis Black. And we got freaking Will Whiten. We got Shelton's mama coming back. Mm-hmm. That was all good. Love to see her.

A brief Stuart appearance, a brief Cripkey appearance. Did. So those are, those are cool little things. Oh, you were going to say something about Crypte earlier. Like, the voice I don't know what the term is for the way he speaks

He's like a Lisp or I don't know what it is A Lisp is like an S Is an S formation sound But like the whole You know I don't know what to call it But he applies it to so many letters Yeah speech impediment

He applies to so many letters It doesn't feel real Yeah no It's a wholly filled like a caricature Like I yeah It's like he sounds like he's just doing like a baby thing. And it's because like I

know people who are adults and who speak that way and it's not quite as like extreme and and it conforms to more specific letters than I feel like they're going with, but I could be wrong. I don't know. It's just one of those odd details of like

I don't know. It's not I could be wrong but it's the kind of voice choice that does not suggest to me that like that like a speech that dialect coach was brought in or anything like that yeah no not that you have to for a sitcom but you know just a thing it is yeah it was it's an interesting thing and i hope they use it sparingly because it only takes so much of of kripki and his uh his his chosen his chosen voice

yeah uh and we also had the episode with uh the the guys being goth and i'll kind of and correct me if wrong but I feel like that's the first episode we've just had a Raj and Howard side story because it's usually like one of the other three with them in an arc rather than just being the two of them and you know that was fun enough for what it was but I will say out of this block this may be the one where Howard was the least lock upable yeah I'm like okay yeah looks like they're you know he's still a little creepy not to the degree that we was before But we're starting to see some change.

And then, you know, it seems like he's finally set up with somebody and they seem to be hitting it off. And Stegger was really funny. So I'm happy he seems like at least the beginnings of because he know how sitcoms are with their recurring with their guests. And like some people are here for a season and then they're just gone. Yeah. So, you know, I hope that girl sticks around. Yeah, yeah. It was fun to see.

I mean, you know, it had to happen sometime. But it is fun to see him actually hit it off with somebody. And they played. I think there was a nice. game to play where it's like oh man obviously this isn't going well just because like nothing you know there's an earnest attempt and nothing connects until they get to that one point of connection and so yeah it at least has me wondering you know like is this enough you know can this sustain the whole relationship will they open up to one another and find commonality beyond just this or will this be

marked by you know our mutual mother situation yeah you know and we'll trauma bond until we can't but you know right now fun development i mean yeah i liked i liked the goth bit in that it was just kind of like funny and and it was nice to have an episode where you did have like i can't like i feel like we've had raj and howard together moments perhaps but not like a whole episode where it's like this is them together doing a thing on their own off to the side here

yeah and uh it's yeah like as a thing for them to do i thought it was quite fun i mean i Goth, Gauthowitz looks amazing. Yeah. I feel like he should adopt that look. His hair looks great. Like, no notes. Even the tattoo sleeves. You know, I felt bad for him trying to get the actual tattoo.

But, uh, but yeah. And then the, the conditioning of anything was wild. That was crazy. Which is like, I saw it immediately. I'm like, oh, no. Oh, yeah. Not this. And it's because you know that like that has to be what he's doing.

And he's doing it in a way where it's like, he also. thinks he's being nice but he yeah it's it's so weird because it's because you know they performed it it very charmingly and it is a kind of a funny idea but you know also they're just like it does it's it's not the most flattering to penny storyline but uh it is is very uh i guess amusing in its own a says if we all did that if we all carry around chocolates for each other just to condition each other how to deal with each other i feel like there's there's something there but it has just like a means of like manipulating Penny into being more tolerable around the house

you know like lull but you know obviously it's in jest and it's funny or it's intended lightly did you have a favorite of the block um golly I mean like

the last one was pretty epic just because like the I wondered if they would do that if they would actually have Will Wheaton you know be appear well no like I thought they could get him like I figured like he's specific enough and he shows up places so I figured that would be possible but more yeah this is not like necessarily the most vanity oriented appearance he is going to play into this joke of like yeah my grandma's still alive and I and we don't even find out why he didn't show up it was the way that he was looking

at him well he was like oh I'm at the end of my rope so then he played into us oh yeah you you son of a biscuit I saw what you were doing. Using those acting. And I liked it too. It's funny because in that moment you're like, yeah, he's going real big and heartfelt, which like kind of works as a heightened choice from a directing standpoint, perhaps. But it's like a little too much. And then when the rooses reveal, you're like, okay.

Yeah. Like, yeah. Because I was like, if he's being sincere, like, it's fine because this is a sitcom. But in a more dramatic scene, this wouldn't be the best. delivery of some of this. But because it is a ruse, it, yeah, it like hits due to that and, and you walk away with that same, like,

oh, diabolical! And now, uh, and now that gets me excited for the possibility that he would show back up and that this rivalry, rivalry, would continue. Because, yeah, we've seen, this isn't the first rodeo of seeing Sheldon have some sort of hatred towards somebody because he hated Leslie for that first and second seasons, but this just feels a lot more. Oh, yeah.

This is way deeper. And now, like, after this, you know, after this humiliation, it can only grow deeper, the hatred and the want for retribution on Sheldon's part. Because at least with the one in 95, he's like, okay, this is something that happened. He doesn't know the journey I've gone through to get here, deserve not to show up. But this specifically was malicious intent. You're just like, oh, I'm going to screw you over it and trick you and manipulate you. Yeah. for a financial game.

And now it's on. So I hope this is a rivalry that stays for many moons to come. Yeah. And I'm like, ooh, like, you know, Sheldon opens up a little. He's like, well, you mean, like, you can tell, you got one over on this guy. And now you are diabolical Will Wheaton. You are. Damn you will leave it.

Dangerous tree, Wheaton. You're going to get a bazaing good real good at some point. And I mean, I thought it was funny, too, just to go back to the top, like them coming back. you know and I'm surprised like that's I think an appropriate use of the sitcom ism of like

Sheldon returns to have his life like destroyed yeah and then we move past that pretty quick and everything's fine again so like but you know I thought it was kind of insane the way they come back and they're like now that we've just arrived and are on the couch

we should tell him that all this research was a waste and like we tamper with it and I'm like, weren't you on like a grant and this is like not just your own solo research trip. This was like resources and time funded by like an official body. Yeah, wasted.

So like not only is this embarrassing for Sheldon like somebody must be mad that you guys just like screw around and conjured up some fake evidence. Yeah, it feels like the circumstance they put these characters in sometimes and the way that resolve it

is a lot quicker than what you would expect it to actually be if the circumstances are real. Yeah. But I mean, that's just the nature of sitcom. You know, we have a problem that we start off with, and then we had to move on pretty quickly onto the next thing because it's a new week. Yeah, and I think, like, the back and forth, if that was funny, like, he goes home and the whole thing with his mom, and then they come to apologize.

And, like, it's weird. Like, half of my brain is, like, I get why it's funny because it is, like, it is, like, so quick and light. And then the other half of my brain is like, ah, I think you could be a little small. about how you really pulled this off, you know, or more clever. Yeah. But, you know, I can't say I wasn't amused by them getting there and him saying the thing about, like, I'm going to have to be down here teaching evolution to creationists and the whole thing with his mom and the opinion of fact.

Like, the opinion fact thing that happened there was very, you know, well. Yeah, very real. Only has gotten more real. And then him being like, well, I can't stay here. So I accept your guy's apology and we'll come back. it was he's funny it's also like in that whole thing

I'm like it's I guess this was Leonard's idea and I get the whole like we need to keep Sheldon happy thing but you know I mean the whole time he's just like trying to get back to making out with Penny and I'm like I don't know this whole thing is about you having to like

actually go be a friend about this and you know deal with it but you know again it's like it's kind of light and they get there and he's just like I want to go home sorry you know and then his mom trumps the thing of you know the trumps the line of acceptability and thus he comes up and so like the the consummation of penny and uh leonard has been interesting uh because you know it's been fun to see how they apply that and it's like it's punctuated at some points it's in

the background at other points they use it occasionally for the whole you know the the sheldon conditioning bit for example um but yeah i mean it's nice to see them and different dynamic it's nice to see opportunities like opened up for when like Raj and sheldon are working together that was like kind of a fun mix up as well and then you got wallowitz who's like trying to third wheel so you know i thought they found like a good array of like kind of ways to mix up the cast you know dynamics a little bit while also keeping the classics and stuff like that do you have a favorite episode of the block uh i feel like probably the same one as you that the fifth one just because we are

now entering a point in which one we're doing some of these things that are furthering the lore because now the comic book store is an active part of the sets in which we're spending our time in and

yeah we set up Howard with somebody and I think maybe that's the girl we're seeing on the cover like in the later seasons so I'm like maybe we're about to get our first draft pick growing the ensemble.

Yeah, yeah. So I'm like, okay, well, you know, this is very different than what we've seen from other love interests thus far. So I'm like, okay, maybe we're going to turn the leaf on creepy, creepy Howard. He'd just be funny. You'd be funny and not be a creepin on women.

So I'm like, okay, let's go for that. But, yeah. I enjoy the block. Yeah, FI was definitely the best. And I look forward to, yeah, seeing what comes of said date is this going to continue on or it's going to be a one and done how much more will we and are we going to get in this season or is it going to do like a one per season kind of thing or is this like now his mortal enemy for uh for multiple episodes yeah it's either five it's either five or three

i think or my favorites of this of this oh yeah you know you love gothowitz for sure the gothowitz and also yeah the the him training penny was actually crazy it's crazy it rides that line of but it's it's not unamusing yeah for sure I suppose I was entertained but I'm like you're like you gotta tell her no bro you can't no one you can't

but no you have to tell Penny what Leonard is doing yeah part of me was wondering though too if I like I don't know if I I don't think it is the case I don't think this is how they played it part of me is like does she know what's going on and she's just going along with it you know I would give Penny that that amount of credit but um but yeah and uh i do i guess somewhat appreciate in the like one of the ways

in which the lightness works is the whole like okay they did the thing the joey chair the joey rachel thing of like i don't know it's awkward we we want to be a little bit more than friends we kind of don't know how and then just coming back around to like well we could always just go back to being friends but do we want to no you know and sometimes that's uh that's how you get things started. You know, so, so, uh, yeah, this is a fun block. Let's go to the patrons. Let's do it.

Question, do you think friends in the Big Bang theory are proof that equal pay, regardless of screen time or number of lines, is a better model for a show's long term success?

I think it can be if you really care about your castmates and, you know, you just want something that feels like you guys are all on the same level. Obviously, was Sheldon the one that, you know, became the standout star and got the spinoffs? Yeah, but I think that it's really cool that he fought for all of his cast members to be of equal pay. Because I don't know how you know that that early, but clearly, you know, shows that have done this. I don't know what other examples outside of these two, but have a sense of longevity to them, you know, freaking 12 seasons, Big Bang Theory, 10 season with friends. I think it's great. Plus, it's just fair, you know, you want everybody to feel.

like they're of equal value on a show like this. So I think that's great. I'm happy that they did that. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I love to hear stuff like that. And I think that in this context in particular, it's a good practice because I feel like a sitcom in particular is predicated largely on at least a core ensemble. You know, and I feel like they're like, I can't see it.

It depends, I suppose. Like, I can't see it working for every show. necessarily because depending on different formats or different like single camera shows and and you know it's like I don't know you're watching dexter and you're like I get why this guy it would be the most paid guy and you know this other member of the ensemble but who doesn't show up every episode might not get paid the same like I don't know it's weird like I I would love it if everything could operate in some kind of yeah like the I guess that's the other problem too is like where do you start to draw the line off I think like a sitcom game gives you a really clear situation where yeah you're like these are the core cast members these are the people we're always going to be bringing back these are the people we're going to be finding stuff for every week and so like if that's the position that you're in hell yeah like and and various ensemble things even outside of sitcoms i think that's like a great idea it's it's yeah it's like i don't imagine like the supporting players who show up once and a while are are getting a part of that but

yeah for like the core cast if you're in an ensemble show i think that's amazing and uh I think it is good for the shows. I think it is a good model for shows long-term success. I think you have to have someone at the who this is a position where I'm like, clearly there is Sheldon and then the Big Bang Theory Ensemble. And so I could understand, I could not understand, well, I could see how the potential would exist for like if you don't have the star on board or very happy about it. You could get more friction out of this.

I do like the idea of, yeah, kind of safe proofing your situation from that, I guess, so that, yeah, like, it's not about a number of lines. It's not about, you know, who necessarily, like, the world picks as, like, the most important, the MVP of the cast. So, yeah, I think, like, for keeping everybody grounded somehow and also protecting in various ways, I think it's pretty good practice to all negotiate together when you're on an ensemble thing like this that is clearly picking up momentum. Yeah. And the thing is great that, you know, Jim Parsons was, him being the standout is the one with the most leverage to negotiate with a studio to have that be the case or be the standard for their cast.

And, you know, I'm sure obviously they're all super grateful to have somebody like that. him and rather than someone who's like actually I am the star I will take the most money because I have the most lines log me yeah because I've definitely seen that for sure and um in different group dynamics within with an artist and I'm just like I don't know that doesn't feel like right or fair if like that that's the the integrity play that the the play that the play that takes care of your your group the most so I appreciate that and that keeps people writing for us. Exactly.

You know, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's go on to the next question with Angela Mondragon. Hey, John and Aaron. Here's my question as we begin season three. You've met some great guests and regulars among the supporting cast. Any predictions or hope for people you might see in this season or later ones now that you

have the measure of the show? I mean, we got mom back. Shelton's mom. Love to see her. we've already established that I hope Will Wheaton comes back. Yes. I hope their rivalry just endures. That seems fun.

I hope we see other people in nerdy pop culture show up. Yeah. We saw Summer Clow last season. I think we're talking about Star Trek so much. I think it would be cool if we got... Shatner's going to stop. Shatner. I feel like he has to, right?

Maybe they can get... When did Leonard Nimoy pass? Maybe he could show up at some point. I feel like Shatner's more likely. Yeah, for sure. I feel like Shatner will show up in a different way. Not that Leonard Nimoy doesn't show, didn't show up places. I have to imagine we'll get a Mark Hamill at some point.

Mark Hamill does a lot of TV. Yeah, I could see Mark Hamill for sure. Ooh. Ooh. Let's get Dwayne Johnson in here. That would be hilarious. Let's get Tyler Perry, too. Let's get Tyler Perry in the Big Bang Theory.

But these days, though, I do know a couple who runs a very lovely record store, you know, in the neighboring regions. And I pop in on them and say, hey, sometimes.
