Thank you to Hewel for sponsoring this video. More on them in just a bit.
Is there anything else that I've missed to tell the people?
No, I'm just, I'm excited. This is going to be a thing.
This is a thing. Yeah, this is a thing.
This is a thing. And I'm excited.
It's going to be a wild ride.
Hold on to your...
Hold on to your birds.
Go into possibly Middle Earth.
Can I tell you something?
Yeah.
We just launched the Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship.
of the ring and I did not remember one single second of that movie.
I think I was just, I must have just been too young to like, yeah, because what year did
you say it came out?
2001.
Okay, so I saw it in 2001, one time I was 10 years old.
Oh, wow.
So I didn't remember anything at all any part of it.
That was like, yeah, I was 10 and I don't think it hit me the same way.
Like, I just remember thinking like, ooh, elves or whatever.
like I didn't it just didn't like affect me the way that this just did I can't believe by the end
of the movie I was I think you were too tearing up yeah that was beautiful yeah it was especially
in the flashback of Gandalf who you know runs as like almost a father substitute throughout
this journey when he's you know thinks back on what he told him just just use the time that
you've been given that's what really got to that's what that's what I really felt I I I
I agree as people who have lost people that post, that's all you have.
And when somebody is gone, all you can have are those memories and the things that you told, they told you and the lessons you take from them and the life you try to live for them.
And that's what we see in that moment.
And then I love the juxtaposition of like, okay, I'm just going to let go and go and go in the, I have, this is my fate and I must follow it.
Yeah.
To Vigo Morton's character who's like, no, we fight.
And we're going to choose to go save those two hobbits because that's what makes the fellowship.
And it was like, those are two different journeys now, but that I'm equally excited for, which I'm assuming is going to be the second movie.
Yeah.
I mean, I have Tower, Tower, Tower of Terror.
Something to Towers.
Not Tower of Terror.
The Ride of Disneyland.
The Towers of Terror, Lord of the Rings.
Yeah.
Before we move forward any further, we really want to hear from you guys.
So don't forget to leave comments on how you felt about this.
Please do not write any spoilers in the comments.
I read everything in there.
Terror reads sometimes when you guys are being nice.
You don't want to know any spoilers.
If you're on Apple and Spotify, don't forget five stars, thumbs up wherever you are.
Make sure that you give us that good, good, love, love.
And if you thought that she looked cool this entire episode,
Reject Nation Shop.com.
Go get it.
Hell yeah.
All right.
So, I mean, scale 1 to 10, this movie is obviously a 10.
Yeah, obviously.
Like, this is why this is one of the most, like, renowned fantasy movies of all time.
And just movies in general.
Okay, I talked a lot about favorite character.
Do you have an immediate, like, who you connected to the most?
That's a tough one.
I mean, it's kind of like I see Sam at the end, but Sam didn't have a lot to say.
And it's like you want to go with Frodo because it feels like this is a lesson in growing up
and taking responsibility for something huge.
like we get to see him get this ring from like a father figure from from bilbo and then he gets it and then he has to go and grow so much so much so that he's to he realizes he has to do it on his own without all of these people that were going to help him when before he was like he's like I can do it but he didn't feel I don't think he felt like he could go alone so it's like he's kind of in my head of like wow this is such a story.
of almost like self-discovery and growing up and like taking responsibility in such a short
amount of time um but i don't it's to be honest this movie i feel like that's it's like an evil
question like if i had watched all of them someone's like what's your favorite character i'm
like mean because you love them you really love them all there's they write them in a way where
the ones that all nine of them have something different to offer and sort of a bright and
cheerful side we get to see to each of them in their own way, which makes you just root for all
of them. I completely agree. It's like unbelievable too that at the end we get that messaging
kind of where you were just talking about him not being able to go on his own. Yeah. But then
finally he realizes, okay, I can trust.
nobody. I can only trust myself, but then the world forced him to be like, actually, F you have to
trust somebody. You have no choice. Sam's coming with you. So the lesson isn't. It's all on me all the
time. It's like move forward and then the universe kind of provides for you what you need, not to get
all woo-woo on people, but like you can either choose to accept what the world gives you or you can
decide to fight against it and both things are valid at different moments. But like, I just thought
that that was so interesting.
And I have a million more things to say that about why I love this,
but one nitpick, and I know that the people aren't going to really like this.
And I guess it's not really a nitpick as much as I'm curious about it.
We have nine, like you just said, you love all nine.
And I do too.
I love all nine.
It's hard to, yeah.
There are all nine men.
Yeah.
And it would have been cool if Galadriel was one of them.
Yeah.
or if Liv Tyler's character was one of them,
just because that's our main nine that we're following on the journey.
Yeah.
And of all nine that are protectors of this ring with Frodo being at the helm,
it would have been nice to just have like a little feminine energy in there,
especially because I really did like Live Tyler's character,
not that there's none in the entire movies.
And again, it's not even like we won't see more of them.
Right.
But this is a movie about nine.
Yeah.
And so.
At least they gave us that.
deeming quality that Liv was the badass that took him when he was dying.
And she really was.
And I'm like, oh, thank God.
They let her go with it rather than giving it to Vigo.
I think that's why, though, which I thought was very wise.
And I loved what they did with Galadriel's character, too, where she's strong enough that
she doesn't take the ring.
So I love what they're doing with their women characters.
I agree.
Yeah.
It would just be cool to see them a little bit more.
Absolutely.
Because they have been so badass, which I'm sure we'll see in the second one and the third one.
But I think it would also bring a different dynamic to the team because right now as a team,
we only see them like in bro and out brocode totally yeah you think the people are going to hate
that i said that no i feel like i mean we don't we haven't read you know the books we don't know
the books of course that's what's in the books exactly but i mean like we're not aware of all
of like the metaphors and the lore of this as to why it would be the nine men right like we don't
know there could be more backing to it all totally right um
um totally and uh i also feel like this movie is a lesson also in like the protection of friendship
because at the very end we see froto going off on his own and then sam's like yeah you are i'm
coming with you right yeah which i love that line i think it's so great and then the the protection
that vgo and them go as long as we stick together we're going back for the little ones right and
that's the we see that protection there on the other side and then I like that we leave us on a bit
of an air of hope of like we may we may see them again you know Frodo's like we probably won't but
Sam's like we may just like hold your horses on that and I think they will yeah I do too yeah I do too
I also think not just a lesson in friendship but a lesson about greed and what it does to you
and how you stop being who you really are when you start being greedy.
Totally.
Like this takes over.
Yeah.
And this ring really does.
I mean, obviously we know about the current state of our world, but it's like this,
this ring represents a lot that's really relevant to today about like what there used
to be nine rings over here, five over here, three over here, peace in the, and then there's
the one.
And when somebody has too much power.
too much on them, too much greed,
then everyone else around them suffers.
And we see that time after time
with people choosing this ring or when you put on the ring
and we see it even with good people
when they get greedy like Bilbo.
He literally turned into a different person for a second.
Yeah.
I mean, you have to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
So I don't know for a fantasy movie,
I just found this to be like unbelievably relatable.
Yeah.
I absolutely agree.
And it gives us a good visual picture of what greed looks like because it's with Ghalem.
But Ghalm, as Gannoff was explaining, saying he loves and hates the ring.
But like it's as though Ghalm is our example of someone who stays like too long with the ring or something.
I don't know why he just looks so damaged.
He goes absolutely to the full spectrum of like the.
ring will destroy you and that's what gallum looks like which is probably why he hates it and loves
it my assumption with that even though i haven't seen anything is that gollum put on the ring too much
and it aged him all the way down where he's like let's ride the ring out although that could be
absolutely wrong but i i do feel in what you were saying that gollum is a great representation
of what greed looks like in this movie
Yeah, yeah. The problem with, I really want to look up things about this, but the problem is I don't want
anything to get spoiled for us. So I think we just won't. Like I want to know, at the end, we'll do trivia,
but I don't think for now. Because we can't be spoiled. I also loved how they introduced all of the lands.
And it was so great how many times, like I needed them to repeat people's names. And I needed them to
repeat where we were. And I needed them to know, listen, this is fantasy for.
the masses and I need to know where we are who we're talking about and I felt like us in the
know sometimes when I'm watching fantasy it gets so in the weeds so fast yes they're like oh no
I've been introduced to 15 characters and 45 locations in 30 seconds and I don't know how
impossible going to remember all that right this felt so effortless it felt like it really
painted all the locations the lay of the land it showed us it told us I agree and then it
introduced us to the characters in like a nice rollout in meaningful ways and
each time. They all had very distinct personalities. Yeah. Yeah, that was just really, really cool of
them. Yeah. And I like that they took us to so many locations in the adventure, um, of just seeing
it go from green, luscious land to then they're in the snow and now they're in the mines,
which are, he didn't realize it's not his minds anymore and it's become a tomb, which is sad. And, um,
I find it like, I know and in the way that they instilled a type of love for Gandalf in this movie that we're introduced to him, you know, at the top and we realize he's a wizard and he's like, Frodo's got to take the ring.
We get this clock of that his internal like moral code is a good one and he's going to, when Frodo's like, I got to go, I'll do it.
I'll take the ring.
and Gandalf's like, I'll be as long,
I'll be with you as long as I can type of a thing.
And it's like, yes, it's a three-hour movie,
but when Gandalf dies,
it's so heart-wrenchingly sad.
I'm like, are you for freaking real?
You're going to kill Gandalf?
But he is a wizard, so I just feel like we're going to,
I have to get more flashbacks of it or something
because it seems so central to the story,
which I do want to see,
and it's a cool way to keep him alive.
I also wonder, are we going to get more built,
though at some point.
Yeah.
Because...
Because he didn't go.
No.
Right.
So he would still be at the little land.
I forget the name.
And he's with Liv Tyler's character.
And he's with Liz Dad.
So I feel like they're probably going to end up at some...
God.
That scared the crap out of me.
I'm so sorry, honey.
Jesus.
Greg walked in the room, y'all.
Tara didn't just have a...
Ugh.
That happens to me every time we're filming and I don't know.
Anyone's coming in and I freak out.
We weren't even watching a horror movie.
We weren't.
But, like,
I don't know.
Like, get out of the...
Get out of here!
Okay, I'm fine.
It's all good.
That did scare me, though.
We loved Lord of the Rings.
So good.
What was I just saying?
Oh, my God.
You're going to ruin my train of thought, Greg.
I'm going to kill you.
God, I had a good point.
What do you want?
He doesn't want anything.
I did shut.
Get out.
I wrote down.
Don't come in and scare me.
Yeah, it was really helpful.
It says,

Oh, my favorite.

But the Boston of me said Aragon.
Yeah.
Aragon.
Aragon.
I love you.
Aragon.
Aragorn is great.
Thank you to Huell for sponsoring today's video.
Now, guys, I'm going to give you all the God's honest truth of how this sponsorship came to be.
Sponsorship came to be.
We got contacted about basically partnering up with Huell.
Before we agreed to anything, the very first thing I said was I would like to try the product first.
I did a Instagram post on our Real Rejects one.
It was the first time you see me trying the Hewell product.
Basically going like, hey, we might not partner with them.
This is not a paid Instagram post.
But I just wanted to try it since a lot of you guys ask for, like, health recommendations now
and the know kind of what I take only because of the fact that I'm vegetarian.
I have very limited protein options.
So I gave it a shot and ended up loving it.
Primarily the chocolate one.
Wow, this is really, this is a really great one.
One of the best things about it is that, yes, it's prepackaged.
And a lot of times when it comes to like the prepackaged bottles,
I'm not a big fan of them normally, which he got me drinking on camera, is one of these,
which takes a very long time to put together and can often get messy, and it's just not aesthetically pleasing,
but I'm trying to pack like a lot of vitamins and fiber protein.
The best part about Hewell is a lot of what I try to pack into this one giant shake is already available in this little bottle.
Often taste better than what I can actually assemble myself.
It actually tastes great.
It's got a high protein intake count as well.
And you know what?
bread new bottle if you guys can see it's filled to the top is how good it tastes
now normally what you want to do is spread it out but if you want it in one go it is just as good
it tastes really freaking good thank you so much response from this video the one
thing they want me to say is this is you can get 15% off fuel today
with Code Rejects at Hewell.com slash Rejects.
Fuel your best performance with Hewle today.
They are great and I am already almost out of the many bottles they sent me.
If you guys do go check them out at Hewle.com slash Rejects,
you'll see they've got a whole bunch more items available as well.
And if they taste anything as good as this,
I'm going to be a very happy customer for a very, very long time.
So join me on this health journey.
Okay, so let's talk a little bit.
Let's talk about how it looks and how it sounds
because those are two like characters in this movie.
Yeah.
We've talked more about location than how it's.
sound so far. The scoring was like as epic as anybody could possibly have. The scoring reminded me
of mountains. It was like just absolutely grand. It hit you like a ton of bricks. It was so overpowering
at times and like overwhelming in the best way possible. Really move the story forward. Help that
three hour runtime like crazy because that did not feel like a three hour movie. Like it's like
the beats per minute with the orchestra in some scenes were like when they're running through
and it's and it they're like running it's such an a light and airy even though they're being tracked at
the beginning of the movie and then we get to more of a darker like orchestral type of a sound obviously
we go to like mortar and stuff like that but even as the movie goes on we're introduced to that
like choir operatic sound which is like kind of gets in when it gets darker we're introduced to that
which I found, like, also very ethereal.
It was weird the place that it took me while also watching something that was very dark.
Like when Gandalf was thrown out and then he's at the top of that weird dark tower,
we had that choir singing.
And I was like, oh, this feels very ethereal.
And yet we're in a very dark time.
Man, if you want to know my least favorite character, you just mentioned that tower.
That guy.
Sarah Dorner, I forget
Sauron.
You wrote it down.
Samaron.
Saramon.
Saramon, Samon, Samon, man,
Soramon's a prick.
Yeah, he built the army.
Saramon can ask my D.
Saramon is the worst.
Saramon's that guy
who pretended his whole life to be good.
And, you know, it's hard to be mad
because I understand that you're under extreme pressure,
but it's like,
Saramon is, whof, man,
he's just brutal, brutal.
Lemon strudel.
Just no, no, no.
this movie was so good man as i'm going through my head like in all my favorite scenes there was just
so many excellent ones this movie lives up to the hype times 10 is the second one and the third one
supposed to be as good as the first one i hope so i i also think that's the one that got all the
oscar nominations well i'm not gonna know i mean i could have been this one this could have been this
good could have been this one but with sarahmon i feel like he was friends you know when when he's like
what is this, this gray wizard coming to meet me for to talk about it?
And I just feel like that's so interesting that they were friends and he was turned to the darkness
and turned so hard that he's raising an army for Saradorn or Saradorn or Saradon, whatever.
Yeah, the Sauron for the demon.
It is annoying that Tolkien did that.
We're Sourmon, Sauron, Sauron.
Yeah, I'm like, couldn't we make it different?
Yeah.
I'm just going to call him white robe guy is working for the devil.
Right? And it's funny to me still the colors that they utilize in this because I thought, oh, are they trying to throw us off because all of the nine of them are in very warm kind of colors, muted kind of coloring. And then we see these, the epic guy, the white rogue guy. He's in all white. Yeah, but that's because on the outside and Gandalf thought he presented a certain way. He was good. It's not that I think they're trying to throw us off. I think they're telling us, don't.
trust presentation don't always judge a book by its cover right looks this way he's got the long
beard like he's a wizard he looks like gandolph like he's a wizard he's in all white good god
no you can't trust it i agree i also felt like well are they going to show us that there's some
way to bring that wizard back from the darkness because we also playing with when live tyler's
riding on that one white horse against all the dark evils they're all on a black horse right
And then we see Kate Blanchett.
She's kind of all ethereal and white.
And a lot of this movie is between light and dark.
We get that.
And when they say that the darkness is going to come over and cover Shire,
we do see it in that, in the visioning that he has,
that Shire is just taken over by those trolls and set on fire.
But we don't know.
We don't know.
Because she did say, you know, that may come to pass yet.
Right.
May come to pass.
So we're not sure.
but it it did seem in the warning when Gandalf was first saying he's like the darkness can
come over shy if if the devil gets the ring or whatever that's what he's going to want to do
the darkness takes over the world um if Sauron gets the ring you're saying then that he will take
he covers darkness yeah he wants the darkness just to spread which I get and we're we're just
hoping that Frodo in the end is strong enough to throw the ring
from where it came from once it came so that must be the third movie right yeah we get to that
like the next movie must still be about the journeys it it must be because i mean we're on the
journey to find the little ones and that may and pippen a story b story because this is this had
a very interesting structure to it because they knew that they were going to be doing a trilogy
and they know that they're following the books we end at a cliffanger but we still told the first
chapter, but it did have a very strange structure, which leads us to at the end we finally
separate. So there really is no A and B story the entire time. We really stay on Frodo for the
entire movie. Yeah. And we follow him everywhere. The only times we leave him is briefly when we go
to Gandalf, who is not there where Frodo is yet dealing with the white wizard Saramon.
Right. So, and that was such a small portion. Then Gandalf gets
back with us but the next movie i'm assuming we've got a full a storyline and a full b plot
yeah a plot is that is sam and froto going to get the going to try to destroy the ring and the
b plot is their friends trying to get back their other friends exactly it's a completely different
structure going into to tower of terror and the twin no not twin town to the two i got to stop talking
Yeah, end it, Roxy.
I agree with that.
And I also think, oh, man, what was like, I just had the thought of, oh, that him with
the ring in this movie, because we were mainly just following him with the nine, is that
it's also introducing us to the power of the ring and the fact that he had to use it like
three times.
And two of those times was to get away from one of the nine, right?
From Ned Stark, I know.
Sean Bean.
Yeah, yeah.
From him.
What was the other one?
And then he was at the, oh, no.
And then he was at the bar.
Those were the bad guys.
Yeah.
I don't think he used it to get rid of where from one of the nine, except for that time.
Except for that time.
So I liked that when.
But he did use it a few times.
He used it a few times.
And I feel like because when he's with safety with Sam, I mean, he may have to use it again with Sam.
But almost like when he's in safety in this time, because they've passed through their minds that I'm like,
we may not need to see him use the ring as much,
and that may be why this is utilized in the first movie.
Sam is so pure of heart that I would be shocked if this movie goes there
that Sam is greedy for the ring.
It just doesn't feel like what they're going to do for.
No, no way.
They're going to kill him.
They're going to wrench our hearts out.
Yeah, they're going to do something evil.
These movies love to do that now.
Before we leave, let's predict right now,
who of the nine makes it out of these movies alive?
does Frodo
Aragorn
No do we it does Frodo
Yeah it's foot
So you think Frodo lives
I don't know
I think it's Aragorn
You think Aragorn makes it out alive
I think there's no way
Erigorn makes it out alive
Do you think Pip and Mary
Make it out alive?
I think Gimley's gonna die
Yeah he will for sure
We know Bormor died
Yeah
I think that
maybe it will be the two besties maybe sam maybe sam and froto will stay alive i don't know i think
they maybe do maybe maybe all it's a hard one it's a hard one i just take out my notebook for this one
it's a hard one she just wrote down the name thank god we got also wrote 2.5 000 years because i thought
that's because they said it has been two and a half thousand years that that was interesting but i also
like that I had to write
Gallum has ring
my
blessed
see now you're into it
he did have
any final words
Tara
no I love this movie
can't wait for the next one
yeah
this is a blastoroni
can't believe it
that was so good
I'm so glad we're watching
these together
she checks for life
and we'll see you guys
for whatever that tower movie is
mackale
Lyndon
if there was someone
who I feel like
would be a great member of the Fellowship of the Ring.
Oh.
It would be Mikhail.
I would love Mikhail to be a part of the fellowship.
Why, John?
What's your angle?
I got an angle.
What's yours?
I mean, I don't want to steal from your angle.
If we're on the same angle, we will ride the wave together.
Okay.
Well, I was thinking that since...
Well, how much James Bond is involved in your...
James Bond is not involved at all in my angle?
Oh, good.
Okay.
How much of a pun is your angle?
Okay, where are you...
I was just going with like how he lives in like the mountain areas and
could probably travel lands.
You could guide us through the mountains. That's similar.
Yeah, and there's a lot of mountain traveling.
And so I was trying to avoid what we always do.
You could be the keeper of our maps and scrolls.
What's your James Bond angle?
I didn't know if you had one because I was like at first I was like,
oh, you must have, you know, like is your angle playing?
off of some kind of
joke about Mikhail or pun about
I was trying to be like he lives in Mountain
World so he does he's able to
he's a mountain he's could probably explore better and handle
that weather and any door any problem I mean
knowing where he's from they probably still use compasses
they brought a navigation system
and actual like maps that you have to roll
open with those big you know like
yeah tombs scrolly
that haven't been updated in decades
rolling pin things yeah yeah but somehow
we still just trust them even though there
could be completely out of date by
no exactly
So I feel like that's where I mean, because where's you from again, Sweden, Switzerland?
Sweden.
Yeah, yeah, mountains.
Yeah.
So I feel like he'd be able to do it.
You know, the Sweden Alps.
That's right.
The Swedish Alps.
Yeah.
We love them.
And, hey, you know, we wouldn't get caught in no snowstorm.
We wouldn't have to take a shortcut through no mind.
You would know the exact fastest route to Mount Dewam.
And his language kind of sounds elvish.
That is true.
That is true.
And they look, elves kind of look Swedish.
They are very Eastern European.
So I think he would fit right.
Eastern European.
It would look like we have an elf on our team.
Definitely.
Oh, yeah.
No, and I just imagine the way to speak.
We did no James Bond.
We didn't do any.
Or Indiana Jones.
Or Switzerland.
Or Switzerland.
We avoided the Swiss.
He's not from there.
Have a good time being not from Switzerland.
