Forget to follow us on social media.
I look possessed right now.
Is it still good?
Can you feel it?
Yeah, I can feel it.
I'm just freezing.
Wow.
I'm holding fire.
Yeah.
I'm freezing.
So that's good.
That's where I'm not.
We got to get you those before we do this.
I have this sweat.
I'm going to put this on for.
okay because we got more taping it to do we got people go see places all right what do you think
about this in comparison to Annabelle are you do you like following the nun are you more into
nun storyline or more into the doll storyline I you know I like the doll I think more the doll
is this I don't know there's something about it but the nun is this maybe that's just because
that wasn't I feel like it was
just as scary you know I'm scared of everything but this movie has so many jump scares but I didn't
I found that I think Vanabelle was like more intriguing to me for some reason like this movie was still
really great there's some parts of it that I thought maybe it felt like the time was lagging slightly
in some parts that I thought like where are we headed to and when are we going to get there but I thought
all the jump scares was really good um especially the special effects they did a great job on that
I didn't feel like we were let down by any of the effects or the music, which was great.
So I thought it was a fun film.
I'm super with you, though, on the dragging.
Well, I also liked it, but the fact that this is only an hour and a half movie, it felt like a two-hour movie to me.
I agree.
And it's because there wasn't that much going on in the plot.
We find out that they've hung themselves, and then we need to go figure out what's going on there.
And there's not that many characters either.
But I really did like our main three characters.
I liked their chemistry together.
I like that we got to know each of them.
I liked the premise.
It was just a little bit more simple
than what we've seen with Annabelle or The Conjuring movies.
Agreed.
So, yeah, I'm into this for sure.
If there's a none too, we'll be watching it.
Obviously, yeah.
But I do think that the lagging,
you know, I don't know if this went to test audiences or not,
but I do think they could have added more
or just taken more of that time
out. So we really felt like we were like moving. But overall, I thought Taisa Farminga did a great job.
Everybody in the cast, I thought did a great job. Nobody was like who I felt like, oh, I don't believe
them. I believed everybody in this, which was great. Is that how you say her name? I have no idea.
I'd probably say it wrong. I have no idea. I would have said Tasia, but I don't. You're probably
right. No, you're probably right. You and I are the two words. If you can mispronounce something, we will.
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
I don't know if that's how you pronounce, but she did a great job.
She for Miga.
Yeah, exactly.
She did excellent.
She's really, really strong actress.
She really is, and I like how similar she is to her sister, obviously.
How convenient is that that she has a sister that can be cast and also wonderful actress,
which I find that very fun.
But it's also cool that they weren't playing sisters in this.
It's just the same franchise, and like, you got to wonder what those Thanksgiving dinners are like,
Like, oh, how's your conjuring movie doing?
Mine's good.
How's your conjuring movie doing?
Right, right.
I also think, like, I was also thinking, like, why Frenchy?
Like, why did we bring him?
It's because, by somehow, he ran into the nun being hanged,
then ends up becoming, like, such a pivotal point in the story,
which I think in most scripts is, like, the comedic relief.
Like, the way that he popped up with the shotgun.
done and then he had that one line when he killed he said uh he said he had a line when he killed
the the nun or whatever he he had a callback line which i was like oh he's basically they're
trying to put him in the area of being our sort of more lighthearted he's not full comedic relief
but i like having french canadian yeah that's right there you go yes thank you um that i'm like
oh yeah they're they're putting him in there i like that he still survived especially if
he is still, if there isn't unto and he carries on.
But is surviving better than the, I don't know if I would want to survive if that's the future
that I was going to face.
I, well, oh, I guess.
He'd be Beauje.
You're right, you're right.
I guess like the whole, well, I wonder how long it's going to take for him to go from
normalcy to full on possession.
Yeah.
Because maybe he lives a beautiful five years.
Yeah, yeah.
You never know, right?
Like, and he just says that weird.
It slowly creeps in on him.
I don't know.
I do like that
also that the father survived
and that we learned that they just
they send him out for the odd
requests. I was
kind of curious, what else does he do
besides exorcisms?
Yeah. Because he said he gets
all of the odd ones. The miracles.
That intrigued me.
I agree. You know, I think that because we saw
the father's backstory where he had to give
an exorcism to that kid who didn't survive,
I really thought he was going to be
the one who had to get the demon
out of her. But he wasn't.
It was Frenchy. So I was kind of like
it feels a little bit like a missed opportunity
although we did need something for Frenchy
to do. So
I thought that was kind of an interesting
choice. Yeah. And maybe
it is just the fact that we were expecting him
to get it out of her but really it was Frenchy.
Right. Maybe that was the whole point
as like kind of a bait and switch.
I think that of
all of the Conjuring movies right now
this is a little bit lower
on my list yeah because of the pacing you know for me and also um i think people who grew up religious
are more afraid of religious horror yeah but for me who has zero experience i've never met a none
in my life i've never been in a church right well i went to that's not true i went to the vatican like
to see the art okay beautiful stuff but i'm just pretty ignorant in this area right so it's not
super duper scary to me yeah because i hasn't been ingrained in
me like this is what this is this is who this is totally um or you know like even exorcisms to me are
like oh it's a movie yeah kind of kind of because it's just not like my culture as much right um so i
think that dolls for me i collected dolls growing up i think about all my little creepy doll eyes
creepy totally yeah the dolls to me are way creepier i mean even when we were watching the conjuring
and he was in his room where he collects his items,
I think we both immediately noticed Annabelle.
We're like, that creepy-ass doll in the background,
what in the actual F.
So that was spookier to me.
I do think the skinny man, he's creepy too.
Oh, totally.
What's his name?
That man is creepy.
I agree.
He was really creepy.
And it's funny because, like, the nun is very creepy as well.
and they had really great jump scares in this.
There's just something about the plot
and the way the story was that did not keep me as engaged
to forget about time.
I was very aware of time going through this movie.
I felt it internally.
Tick, tick, tick.
When is this?
Okay.
I feel the exact same way as you,
the exact same way,
which makes me think that because when you're referencing
the jump scares in this,
I think that this is the best jump scares
of any of the movies that we've seen in the conjuring.
I agree.
But because we were so aware of the time, I just wonder if we appreciate the nun
as a supporting character more, or if it's just a different plot would have had us more
enticed.
In general, I think this is an absolute B.
This is still a really good solid horror movie.
Absolutely.
We've just been spoiled a little bit recently with the other conjured movies.

Thank you for sponsoring this video. I think so too. I think it's a really strong B. I think it, it, it,
It gives you the tropes that you want in a horror film, right?
You want the jump scares.
You want weird, gory-looking things, great music, great actors who are good at, like, the horror stuff.
But I think overall, when we're discussing about really, really good horror movies versus ones that are just like, okay, I think it obviously will always come down to story and plot and pacing.
That if time just flies by.
Because it's not about performances, obviously,
because we thought the performances were great.
It wasn't about the jump scares, because those were great.
It wasn't about the visuals.
It actually looked amazing.
It looked amazing.
Yeah, you're right.
It really came down to the script for us.
Yeah, which is kind of weird,
because it's not like it was terrible.
We understand that they made it all make sense,
especially with the exorcism.
And Maurice, that was a cool thing to come back.
Like, oh, we saw that in the first movie.
This is cool.
They're really adding the word.
worlds together. All those things are great. I just still am curious about the people involved,
director, producer, about if they sat through it and if they were too attached to the shots and
couldn't let them go because like in filmmaking, we call it, you got to kill your babies. It's a weird
phrase that we use, but whatever it's used that I'm like, yeah, you got to kill your babies to make
this not feel like it's two hours when it's an hour and a half. But the thing about that, Tara, is I feel like
we usually use that when something is two hours.
This was an hour and a half.
How much could you cut out?
Yeah, you're right.
We needed almost like a C story, a B story line, even because there really wasn't.
We needed, we needed something.
Maybe to follow, yeah, I was going to say maybe to follow me.
And the kid that had the exorcism, that was his brother, which is why he left or something.
Yeah.
Like something a little bit more.
Yeah, like, why didn't we go to see, I feel like there must have been.
this, right? We have that plot that we have now. We took a lot of time on B-roll, meaning like
exploring maybe an environment for overly too long, or we are moving down a plot that we already
know the sort of the ending to, that she's eventually going to find the priest. When we see her
hear him and then we're taking a long time, her visual, that's cool, she digs him out, blah, blah,
During that whole time, we know that she's probably going to get him out.
But why didn't we see, like, when he describes the kid hung himself in the barn?
I'm like, oh, that would be interesting to see if we went back there.
Why did the kid hang himself?
Is it obviously attachment to the church?
Yes, but maybe could have been another plot.
So you and I have the exact same thoughts about all of this today.
One of my only thoughts there is that we see that these all interweave.
I'm wondering if they were setting up another movie for something with that.
I have no idea.
But the way that they set up Maurice in a previous movie and then we see that pay off,
maybe that's kind of what that's about.
I'm not entirely sure.
Obviously, we're still liking this franchise.
We're going to continue with it.
The number one thing that I'm thinking about right now, though, Tara, that I can't lie to you
and I just need to tell the people, I'm staring at your sweatshirt.
Like, it is, I'm not kidding.
I'm so obsessed with this.
It's so good.
It is so cute.
Do not forget to go to.
to rejectnation shop.com.
These are selling really well.
They make great holiday gifts.
Also, just, it's super cozy to wear around.
Give for yourself, bro.
Yeah.
And also, we're still selling,
you know, people are buying
our classic reject sweater for holiday gifts,
which is really great. People love those
as well as the villain sweatshirt,
which is like an all-around thing,
especially if you guys love horror movies.
We got all the villains on there, and that's super fun.
And the other thing about this is that it comes in a mug.
Yeah, we also have the mugs on this.
Yeah, which is a lot of fun.
Dude, I need to get one because I, instead of sipping out of this,
that's what I want to be sticking out of it.
I know, I know.
I know.
Sip it out of my mug.
We will see you guys for, right now,
for all the Lord of the Rings movies.
Yes.
For the Terminator movies.
Hobbit.
For the Conjuring movies.
For the Hobbit movies.
We're going to see you guys all the time.
So see you later, too.
I said it.
You did?
I told them the Terminator.
Oh, snap.
I didn't hear it.
We love you.
But we're saying twice.
Later, rejects.
Yep.
I don't know if the mic's
I'll punch up that sound
so that you can get the primal beats, the primal rhythms.
Chris.
For sure, rhythm, I was...
Yes, definitely.
It was a complex time signature, all right?
That bit just there was in 1719.
None.
None, Chris Wammoff.
None other than Chris Wammoff could face the none
because Chris is pure of heart.
and spit it.
And if I remember anything about
the nun, it's that, you know, they
had a Demion Bashir priest
guy, but he wasn't as pious
as you are. Even
Tice... I'm thinking he ate one pie in the whole movie.
One pie. And Taisa Farminga,
I mean, sure.
Certainly quite
what's the word?
What's the word?
Woman. She's a woman.
And you're not a woman either.
Which is good for fighting
demons, because we all know women
cannot do that
proven
by the conjuring
by this very franchise
so we need your help Chris
all these ladies in this in this
conventor are screwed without
you because this other lady
demon is messing with them
I think Valix's a lady I don't know
I don't know if demons have gender
I know this was your original plan
this is all I wanted from this shoutout boy
That's when you said Chris for the nun.
This is exactly where you were headed with it.
I know.
I would have, we took that trip.
We went to that monastery.
We watched the movie.
The only thing that could have made it better was if it had starred Chris as, you know,
the intrepid, faithful, pious priest.
I mean, it's Chris is our most charitable human being.
So if there's anyone who's like a mother Teresa, that's true.
That's Chris Whammon.
And it's true.
Like, I'm going to have to give Chris.
Chris a $10.99 for the amount he's given her.
I have made more than a minimum amount of income from you.
I am now an employee of Chris.
I am a licensed contractor.
I'm just given enough here now.
I'm an independent contractor for Chris Corp.
I'm going to have to pay taxes to know what Chris has given us.
What are the, what's Chris's corporation called?
The Whamoff, blam off.
The wham off.
Ooh, that's a good name for like a front for a weiner.
factory you got to have front they're cracking down hard these days man you want to get the
people there are weaners chris that's the real lord's work right there yeah thanks for being you
and for doing what you do and by wiener i mean hot dogs it sucks so yeah you got to have one
without the other thing's better i mean a laugh at your own joke i think it is the best what is
the joke for if not to amuse yourself before anyone you to tell people it's funny you have to find
your own joke funny to be able to give
it to other people to find funny. Very true.
That's right. You think Joe
Rogan does his stand-up
set in the mirror not once laughs
and then goes, that's good enough for Netflix?
Yeah, he just goes, I'm going to yell.
There's the joke.
There's the joke.
Hey, Chris, I hope
in the new year,
you make sweet love to your wife.
Oh, yeah, that's right. And you remember
that
if you're not
you know concealing
with a plastic thing
it means you want to have a kid
hey
so kid wham-off
that's why the common
I'm thinking it'll be a demon baby too
it's going to be good
and then the whole sequel into
the nun
curse of liar on that's right the curse of lairona
that's how you do it baby
Merry New Year
and happy Hanukkah
Happy
this be with you and all the characters from the Torah we'll see us Saturnalia
