you got anything else to add
I'll ask like Angie Gordon
Aaron do you have anything else to add
Greg skips the end word when he wraps rap songs
that's right that's all I got to say
that's right in public
except for little Wayne
he says it all
you got it guys
Okay
That's what I'm talking about
All right now that there's action
Aaron should actually like this
We have intrigue now baby
I'm in
I'm excited
I'm ready for the future
For the rest of the season
This was great
If last episode was a 7
This was easily like a 9 for me
This was
Chef's kiss
this beautiful
the camaraderie between them
was all great
well I like the intrigue
of the evolution
of the mythology
that we've seen from the last season
with the portal
to the other timeline
I like the chemistry
between all of the cast
I like the fact
that they have new powers
that are evolved
I like that Klaus
finally has his powers back
I like the fact
that all of these characters
are still themselves
and we're seeing the evolution
of not only them as actors
but them as characters
I like the fact that Ben
has somebody to finally bounce off of
so he's not such a
a dick all the time sure this is great i thought this was amazing i'm gonna say this is worse than the last
one no no i thought this was amazing i think the fan like it's been a while since i've watched
something here where i'm like i'm just so suckered in that that i'm not even really i'm like oh yeah
there's a camera like forgetting about the cameras actually like i haven't had the experience
in a while there's something about this show in particular where i'm really feeling that and i love
Like, just the, to take kind of like a more grounded approach in the main setting with the small town family and the suspicion, there's a lot of that, I don't know, like that thriller vibe of, like I said last episode, like a 60s espionage-esque type of, you know, there's something underneath the surface that would, people, you don't know who to trust, you know, and like conspiracy. I love how that's like casting a job.
giant Paul over everything and then to have like the winter setting in particular and watching the the way the show is letting kind of the atmosphere of the weather dictate the pacing and dictate a lot of the vibes but keeping it with like the family dynamics keeping it with where all these like there's the writers are so good at the writers combined with the acting are so good at really knowing who their characters are and even being able to take them where they are.
a few years from now and really pay attention to how much they've changed and right to that you know
that still sounds authentic to each of the characters and to watch like the dynamics at play like
i'm loving like i feel like this will be my favorite season of diego i really feel like this is gonna be
a favorite see he's so freaking funny and like he's got like one of the biggest changes out of all the
characters you know uh he's he's he's a dad to three children and he's he's kind of uh let himself go and he's
is a lot more cynical than before, and I love, I love his portrayal.
I think it's so fitting.
And I think he's doing such an excellent job in him and Lila as the parents.
That might, like, rekindle a romance for them, you know?
I really love it, like, their dynamic, so much.
I think everyone is great.
And yeah, but do you see what I mean if I suspected that this might be like a mini movie?
Totally.
Versus like a stretched out 10 episode season.
Yeah.
I'm hoping it still feels that way by the.
the end but like to me this felt like oh combine this with episode one like this is getting that
mini movie vibe because this feels very cinematic in a in a different way than umbrella
academy usually feels cinematic umbrella academy usually feels cinematic and and like weirdness this
felt like i don't know it kind of compared to like like the hair you know like harry potter in the
deathly hollows part one that's kind of what i compare it to okay okay where you're like you're mainly
just with the characters and and rather realistic scenario
at first before we go a little bit more heightened you know yeah no again i can i can definitely agree
with that i think the fact that we're seeing all of them in the time where like i like the fact that
we are seeing them in this new space like like like like kind of built off what you said up
with uh lila and diego like that whole scene with them arguing like let me just have this one thing
let me just do this thing and then he takes charge and then she helps him at the end like that
was great i feel like that was like echoes of their old relationship or how they were when they
first started and just seeing like them where they are now is i don't know it's just all very
very rewarding it's it's also just fun to see i like diego just like kind of wanted to get back
into the glory days and the whole part with the van was hilarious and them getting accustomed to
their powers because yeah i think one they're them being together is all when they are their
strongest you know especially them coupled with with their powers and like obviously the
it's the perfect marriage of the strong plot with the strong characters and yeah i think the
whole thing with it being a kind of mini-movie feel i think part episode one episode two are
definitely like these two things that need to go together because that's definitely it feels like
an act one and we're about to enter our act two and yeah i like the fact that we are now have
this overarching threat, this overarching thing of Hargraves again, but like in a different
sort of context. And yeah, the mystery is, is palpable. And I think it's just very, I don't
know, it's, it's enjoyable. I think this show's always been enjoyable, but I think that
it's taking a different sort of approach with its, how it presents itself and its pacing. And
yeah, I'm just enjoying it overall.
And I think what they're doing with Ben is great.
Yeah, that part too.
He's an amazing improvement upon, like, to beat him down to this point.
Because he kind of felt like he was a villain out of a soap opera in the last season.
You know, it was just so over the top in the way, like, every line was also kind of said the same, too.
And they don't, like, completely change that, but they, like, kind of turn the needle a little bit with that character and allow for more real moments.
And even though they, you know, they do establish that he still feels like he's not really a part of the family, but he's actually feeling like a part of the family in a way that's fitting, you know?
And I think this, this to me, their vibes to feel the most family like than ever before.
Because sometimes you got like friends vibes and like you still felt like distance with certain characters and certain dynamics.
and while the distance is there with some characters especially like
allison with everyone there's still a sense of familiarity that i feel is really strong
i really love this i'm really i'm loving this a lot i think this is going to be i'm going to miss
the show already yeah this is really freaking exciting and the whole mystery with the train
yeah i'm excited for it yeah i think it feels more grounded too as like even though we'd had to
just get the thing with the them all shooting the guns and like finally the return of their powers but
I feel like each season started off with, like, the, what's not cheeky, but, like, they all have, like, the dance number and, you know, even though it still has its, it's humor, I feel like, I don't know if we're ramping up to the weirdness or we're just taking, like, a different direction with it.
But, yeah, I think it allows us to feel the stakes more because it, even though it has those sci-fi elements, there is this element of it being more, like, in our world.
Yeah, in a sense.
So, but, yeah, I also like the, that paranoia feeling as well that we start.
with the first one and we're only building off of only building with the whole hard graves being
behind it all which is you know he's always behind it but the way that they're approaching it
uh just feels more insurmountable because it's everywhere now yeah but yeah because he reigns supreme
over like the world now you know yeah i think that's really cool he's like he's kind of like a
kingpin villain but there's also daddy all right guys what did you think about this episode
