Michael,
are you ready?
Oh,
I'm ready.
Nope.
I tried.
All right,
all right,
all right,
my friend,
Michael Tesler.
What do you think is going to happen?
Dude,
I,
well,
I think,
that they are going to find themselves in a situation where Rick is in essence with all of the
executive leadership of the CRM and is going to have to do some like double agent craziness
and he's going to find out what the master plan is and I think it's neat because you know
what can take on the CRM well a civil war that could certainly do some craziness
I'm just, like, so excited.
I'm curious, like, is Michone going along for the ride?
Or is she going to go back to Alexandria?
Because maybe it would be wise if somebody went back and was like, hey, this giant looming
threat is going.
And we should just show up in helicopter.
Right?
With, like, the Commonwealth and, you know, all the backup that's there to be had.
But this was beautiful.
Yeah.
God, if I was not familiar with the Walking Dead and hadn't.
recently watched different bits and pieces that would have been one of the most confusing hours of
television yeah yeah what did you think Greg I mean again I think the show is an incredibly consistent
and I really do appreciate how they keep it on the heart of rick and mishone throughout even when you
because like you know at the beginning when it's all bliss and couple and we're a road trip and back
good fortune everywhere we turn
people threatening our lives
that will kick their asses no problem
we were more than incapable
and you know there's just like a threat coming
and I like the parallel
between what Jadis is doing
during her hunt for Rick and Michone
and what Anne is doing via through the timeline
of the confessions
because when it converges
it's just about her coming
mean to a place of truth.
Sure.
On both of fronts, the truth with Gabriel and the, of who she is and the truth after
like being bid as she's dying, like just the truth eventually comes out of her.
Because kudos to this day, I don't know that actor's name.
She is great.
Like she was monologue central here the entire time.
I cannot imagine the amount of dialogue.
She had to hold this whole.
Like, not only she has her scenes with, you know, Rick and Michaud, but the scenes of Gabriel, like, by God, she is just talking so much in this episode.
And that character has had such an extraordinary, like, Brettif of things that she's portrayed.
I mean, even in seeing the flashbacks and stuff, you're like, oh, my gosh, she literally spoke a fake trash person language.
Who barely spoke?
Now she talks all the time.
Now she won't stop talking.
And now she won't stop talking.
And now she can't speak at all.
Yeah.
No, I agree.
She was absolutely phenomenal.
And I feel like for a character that was, I think, like, universally despised when she first appeared, I think it was really neat to have such a nuanced, interesting start to finish.
And frankly, I thought her journey just parallels Ricks so well in that part of what kept her so loyal to the CRM is all that she, she loves.
lost and not being able to hold on to anything or fearing holding on to anything because it might
be lost as well and you know that's a good point it's really good point yeah the the poetry and
and i think beyond rick not wanting to kill her to get the dossier i genuinely think that rick
in his heart of hearts believed that she could come back as well she saved his life too and she did
Yeah, she saved its life.
But beyond that, even in her final breath, she did come back.
Yeah, exactly.
You know, I mean, obviously, I'm skipping a jump.
But she was like, for the Republic.
But it was kind of like a Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi moment at the end
where there's this, like, beautiful, just redemption moment
where you see who this person really was the whole time.
And sometimes you just have to be at the end in order to be able to really come
to terms with that um i'm i thought bringing in uh such a friendly and familiar this felt like the
old walking dead is so elevated yeah i felt like a little walk it did um but uh it's it's oh god i'm
i'm so curious like are we even going to get to alexandria by the end of this season i'm
kind of hoping that we don't in in a way because i feel like it's i don't know if we would yeah
I mean, it might be like a little button where they fly up with France to see Daryl, yeah.
And he just smiles and nods.
Yeah.
Is that Daryl?
I knew it.
Riding on his motorcycle.
Across the Atlantic.
Bonjour.
No, it's a guy, I'm, I'm just so grateful to everyone working on the,
walking dead universe for bringing this series back in such a fun way um to have gabriel come in too
so to have that payoff of the last time you know like gabriel and anne and they left off on on such an
again sparing his life when she thinks he's going to rot that poetry man because i just remember
that right now last time he thought like she she was threatening to like kill him or like
happen to be taken i forget exactly what i remember he was like tied up in the
garbage place. And now, again, gun pointed at him, lets him live this time. Faith is a hell of a
thing. And more so than faith in a higher power in Gabriel's case, but faith in people. Yeah. And I
think for, for Anne, that thread and that sort of like moral and philosophical guidance, her faith
in people was both her demise and also the thing that made her character so interesting.
because she believed that in the long...
And I think that's the general consensus here,
that while the CRM in the present tense
is a destructive and awful force,
you have to lose your humanity
in order to save humanity
is such a remarkably brutal ideology.
Sure.
But if your life is nothing but loss
and you've lost your faith
in your ability to protect those around,
you, inevitably you come to that conclusion. And I'm so excited to see the summit because
we are going to be in a room full of every single one of these power brokers who has
subscribed to this philosophy. And I think the real question for Rick is going to be his best
friend that he made. Because even him explaining his empathy for her being separated from
her family in South Africa, like, that is going to be, I think, one of the most difficult things
for Rick to do and is also, I think, the only character left in that world that he really,
I think, genuinely loves and cares about. And even in that moment, it was an easy choice,
you know, when they were in the, I think it was the Eagle Stadium, actually, were the
And he had the gun ready to go to shoot her if she went for Mishone.
And it's easy when it's Mishone, but what happens when Mishon's not in immediate danger
and he finds himself in a position of his own safety?
Does he care about himself as much as he cares about her?
I don't know.
I'm so excited.
Citizens of the Reject Nation, or should I say, royal rejects,
because that is who we call those who check out our RR Apparel at RejectNation Shop.
We come out with new designs every month or every two months.
It is personally my favorite way you can support the channel.
Reason being is because we are involved with every one of the exclusive are our designs that are up at the shop.
We got a bunch of designs already, such as our Super Marvel bro shirt.
My sister actually designed this one.
Deadpool Wolverine inspired, my personal favorite one.
But then we also got our number one bestseller, the Last Daddy T-shirt, which has Pedro Pascal from The Last of Us inspired, carrying baby Grogu.
We have Loki's Glorious Balloon.
We also have our Doctor Who shirt, which is full of a bunch of classic Doctor Who quotes on the Tartis.
We have Space Babies of the Galaxy.
We got ourselves some Star Wars-inspired shirts.
We got a boys-inspired shirt.
And we have a House of the Dragon one as well, pointing those out because obviously we have new seasons of those shows coming up.
And then, of course, you got a bunch of other designs as well, like our Batverse one.
Who Influences the Influencers?
Another Last of Us inspired t-shirt.
And of course, you know, the classic Reject Symbolism T-shirts as well.
Either one is an amazing way to support the channel.
And like I said, you get to look good while doing it.
So thank you guys so much.
Do consider going to Rejectnation Shop.com.
And also, tag us on social media.
If you end up buying a shirt, please tag us.
We'd love to see it when people do end up buying the shirts.
Thank you, Royal Rejects.
See you guys soon.
Well, I mean, the CRM is really good at getting you to become dependent
and make you believe this is all you have.
and it's a great cult man well it's it's a it's a cult but it's also it's it's
it's populism it's survival you know and like join what i join well i was about to say
i got french fries that's that's true yeah i mean it's come to the dark side we have cookies
you know it's it's an ongoing trend the nazis had strudel you know the soviets had vodka
Like, everybody's got their enticing entry point.
But don't give into the vodka.
Don't give into the strudels.
Nazis are bad.
Is Michone just going to join for this undercover?
I just don't see how that can work.
But also, I hate the idea of separating these characters again after bringing the back together.
Oh, yeah.
That's a great point.
Yeah, I have no idea.
We're really good.
And so, I mean, there's only one episode left.
And I'm like, I don't know.
No, no, no.
Like, how do you conclude?
I'm not okay with that.
It seems like there's a lot, like, left open.
I don't think they should conclude it, personally.
I think it's okay to...
Every other spinoff has gotten picked up for a season two.
Yeah.
Could you imagine this one doesn't?
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I know it's their most expensive one.
Not every single one of them already.
I know, I mean, I know Daryl Dixon got picked up for a season two.
Yeah, that was an obvious...
Dead City got picked up for a season two,
and I think they don't want to tell us if this gets picked up for a season two
because I think it kind of spoils the fate of them, you know?
Well, ultimately, I wonder, I mean, are they going to treat it?
Are they just going to eventually call it The Walking Dead again and then just call it season whatever we're up to?
It's just like, would Andrew Lincoln want to come back?
Like, okay, I'm just back on the doing the show again, you know?
Because the way they've talked about interviews was like, it seemed like there was like unresolved terrain that they wanted to put a finale, something finite on it.
and so that's it's really the some of the interviews I've heard that make me go
is this just going to be a one-off well but it just seems like there's so much left
open i think i think the way that they've gone about giving these incredible actors real equity
in the story and then being the storytellers i can't help but imagine that somebody as talented
as as andrew lincoln is going to want to continue so long as they're given the
that like if this is your playground this is like amy worthy content here this isn't old walking
debt no offense but like this is a very premium elevated an opportunity for them to be part of
the writing process to be part of the creative you know Andrew Lincoln in my mind is is the
the Tony Stark of this particular cinematic universe and it doesn't it's not going to need him
forever, but I certainly think they're going to keep
them long enough to get to
our critical
snap. I mean, Andrew Lincoln
in particular, the fact that, has he
even been nominated? I think it's the
genre, right? Because
The tough genre. It's the genre.
People have said the same thing with comic book shows.
It's the genre
that this occupies
when it's like, Andrew Lincoln
is like phenomenal.
Pedro Pascal.
Yeah. I mean, Pedro Pascal,
How won and was nominated.
I know.
That's kind of crazy.
Because it's H.
Anyone like the Saga Award or something, right?
Yeah.
Which she was very drunk at.
Yeah.
It was not prepared.
And it's,
I think because it's like HBO with the pedigree of all that.
Well,
listen,
it surpassed like a zombie show to people, you know?
That being said,
Mad Men and AMC show won plenty of Emmys.
You know,
I think that,
especially because this is,
this feels premium.
it is premium like that was the investment that amc made when when they decided to do all of these shows on amc plus you know uh i mean i'd be curious to see the budget for each of these episodes compared to the budget of the old i heard this is like their most expensive one i believe that um especially the amount of like traveling location travel location travel locations freaking
four four vehicles and that's practical for for the most part that was another thing too they had like some really good and i think the original i i i only
just started Dead City, so I can't really speak
to it, but I think the original show
definitely had some, like, great chase sequences as well.
So it was kind of cool and excited to see some of that
brought back to life. Like, this whole episode itself
felt like, oh, we're back in the walking dead.
You know? Yeah, well, it's... They walked back into the
walking dead. Yeah, like, right from
like, just the other locations
they occupied in the settings and encountering
the strangers and stuff. But in
that, and I've said this like
from the get-go, they finally achieved
what they struggled with in the
original Walking Dead, which was in like when the show started to build out these factions and was
growing and saw itself as a larger universe, almost like a Game of Thrones. It did not meet the
mark because they did not have the budget and they did not spend the time with each of these
areas. The CRM at this point from all the content that's been, it feels real. It feels fleshed out.
I like believe it. Definitely. And, uh, and I think what's cool is I kind of
I felt the same way about the Commonwealth.
And I certainly feel that way about redacted spoilers for the Daryl Dixon show
and redacted spoilers for Dead City and redacted spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead.
I'll get into it.
You better because I got theories.
Oh, man, I got out of Fear the Walking Dead now.
There's so many episodes.
I am, all I'll say is...
I just wanted to do Dead City.
My shirt is a spoiler.
Yeah, it means nothing to me.
I thought it was a Star Wars shirt when you walked in here.
No, that's a, well, you'll figure it out.
All right, guys, well, what did you think?
Would you think?
Leave your thoughts down below.
I can't do it.
Leave your thoughts down below.
Carl.
God, seeing him hold Carl on his hands with that crappy little drawing.
I don't like the drag style.
It looks so bad.
It makes me laugh a little.
bit every time like crying and I'm like it's so dumb it's so sad not one family photo he had not one
I'm sure they're probably I think that should be the new series the spinoff series
family photo family the walking dead family photos
bye everybody
