But Paige, what did you think? That was super fun. I had a lot of fun with that one. I think that that may have been my favorite so far. Yeah?

Call me crazy, but I'm going to say it, yeah. I don't know. I really liked Iron Man, too, to be honest. and I think I'm kind of in the minority there, but I did really like Thor number two. You mean Iron Man number two? Yes, dear God. It's okay.

It's late. It's late, Mila. I love that you always say that. Thank you. It is late. It is actually late. Yeah, I love the brother story here. I think we had some really great action, obviously, amazing set, work, production, design, art direction.

I mean, Jesus, yeah. on most of them, but especially this one because they did have to create this entirely new world. Like shout out to the PD on this. Holy crud on a stick. I'm just like, but I still have a very hard time just personally being understanding, I guess, how much is like set work and how much is CGI. But like watching this and watching Lord of the Rings, I feel like I'm getting a better eye and starting to understand this obviously is probably a lot more CGI.

But it was really fun and it really. world building. I am excited for the rest of them. What did you think, sister? I really enjoyed it. Like we started touching on it towards the end before the post credits.

He looks like such a nice person. I've only ever seen him as Loki. I googled a picture of Tom Hiddleston as not Loki. He looks so much more kind. He was the star of Life of Chuck, which I loved. He played the titular Chuck. It's the

titular role. I love Mike. It's crazy what just dyeing somebody's hair changes their look so much. Yeah, but Life of Chuck, Stephen King story turned into a film directed by Mike Flanagan, my dream. I mean, my favorite

writer, my favorite director, but anyways, I was going to say that I really loved the tone of this movie. It was a bit more fun. It was a bit more like if iron man one and two those are more fun but yeah especially compared to the incredible Hulk they're a bit like more this is definitely way more fantasy right it was giving me

more of like based off of our knowledge spider man spider spider spider man like energy and i think it almost like it was kind of like it was interesting because i love mythology and just old timey stuff. It was kind of giving like a Shakespearean comedy of just like random people and like uh, yeah, and like unwitting people in like a topsy turvy circumstance like how did they

end up there? Yeah. Um, it was, I really, I think that this so far is my favorite. And it was definitely my favorite Stan Lee. Cameo. Camio. What? Inmissible in the truck. I just, I love the tailgate. I was like, that was so fun. That was awesome.

I loved it. It was sweet. Oh, I'm looking at my notes. I also think we just had some really, really strong. Natalie, okay, obviously. It is Edress Elba. It was Edris Elba? Wow, I'm sorry.

I clocked him right away, even with that giant headpiece on. Well, I just, he's such a, like, see, that's not the right. So I was, sorry. That I thought that he was maybe going to have a bigger. Yeah, but this was a while ago. This was 2011. He's had to come up only in the last probably.

Of being, like, a household name. Yeah. of being a household name, yes. That's Stellan Sars guard. I totally had the wrong Sars guard. But didn't he just win an Oscar? I don't know. I think he just won four.

The other thing that I was going to say is that I feel like this felt like this was the first one for me that really felt like a complete film. Like I got the arc that I wanted Thor to have and there was still room for him at the end in the scene with his dad where he was like, oh, I hope, like, I still have a lot to learn. But thank you.

So there's a way to make it feel full, but also, you know, leave room for it to grow. He's got a lady to give back to, too. We're definitely left wanting a lot more. Agreed. He did have a good come-ups. What do you call it? Comeuppance. A great come-upence.

We had a nice character change for sure. I love that his friend showed up for him, too. It was cute. It was a nice. brother rivalry story and friends, fantasy mythology, mixology. Wicca wika wika. Also, I had no idea.

So we had a little small, small, small, Hawkeye cameo. So Black Widow and Hawkeye are in Shield from the start, which I did not know. I did not know. Because also I don't, I'm also a bit... Hawkeye is just there? I mean, I guess, yeah,

the Bowler. Yesterday that Black Widow is. was just there too. Yeah. So that was really interesting. And then that makes me wonder, again, are the Avengers, all of the heroes that we know in the MCU, or is it only like a select amount of them that are the actual Avengers, you know, that'll be really interesting to see who's allowed in the Avenger initiative.

So we say, because we saw that Iron Man, but not Tony Stark, was recommended by Scarlett Johansson. So that'll be really interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Should we get into some questions? Let's do it. Right. Captain Fernandez writes in and says, hi Captain, says, thus far, the MCU has been fairly grounded with both Iron Man and the Hulk, focusing on humans who are capable of extraordinary feats largely due to science and technology. With Thor, you are now entering the truly fantastic. How do you feel about this shift into the realm of gods and aliens? Did the transition feel natural or abrupt? I thought it felt natural because, I mean, if we're going to, one, I don't think that aliens are really like fantasy. I fully believe. that aliens exist, watch any of my reviews on the thousand alien movies that Greg has put me on. So I think that the concept that a Hulk-like figure could exist from whatever injection or potion or whatever,

I think that that is as far-fetched to me as like the idea of aliens. Now, now Thor is definitely like an alien and not a god. It is interesting that he is kind of presented through like a mythological godlike lens. But yeah, what did you think? I feel like that's so much in the writing, too, just the way that they speak, really. The transition did not feel abrupt to me at all. Like you said, I feel like we've had a nice, I actually think it was a nice transition into it from Iron Man and Hulk. And they spoke also, like, there was such a heavy emphasis on magic was just science that wasn't discovered.

Yeah, I love that. That's really cool. Yeah. It was nice. Well, and Sir Anthony is a Shakespearean actor as well, too. So it seems to all fit in nicely. Yeah. Yeah, for sure.

Hi, Jackie and Paige. Hi, Cody. Thor and Loki are both fan favorites in the MCU, but it seems sometimes Loki tends to be more liked than Thor in the films that they are in together. Just curious. And Thor, whose performances did you prefer Chris Hemsworth as Thor or Tom Hiddleston as Loki? I might have liked Loki a little more.

I just always tend to like the villain. Not that he was totally a villain, but the... Yeah. I am, when I think of the actors separate even from this film, so when I think of Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, I do automatically think of Tom Hiddleston as the better actor, the more well-rounded actor. But I will say, so I understand why a lot of people do maybe prefer him,

but what I will say is I did notice myself watching Chris Hemsworth's. That's a hard. Chris Hemsworth's performance. I used to have a list, guys, that's difficult. But watching his performance as Thor and being sort of surprised that he really did. He did all right. He did better than I thought that he was going to. Like, not that I thought he was a bad actor, but I was just like, oh, wow.

Like, he's a good actor, you know? Yeah, he did. He was very decent. I'll be honest. This is the first thing I've seen either one of these actors in. So it's a little bit hard for me. and I only knew him as Miley Cyrus's husband for a little while? I thought she was, no, she was with Liam.

Wait, is that not, that's not this person? No, they're different. They're brothers. They are brothers, though. Yeah. I was like, wait, am I totally wrong? No, it's Liam. Liam is her ex. Chris is the C-Vs Liam.

Oh, shit. They look so much alike. They do look alike, but they're different. He's an actor also, though? Uh, yes. How am I to know? Liam, Hemsworth is in honestly always in the hunger games but like not really like much not really not really not really yeah yeah you wouldn't know well definitely got the same vibe but this was my first this is my

first exposure to either of these characters I did not really know that loki was going to be the bad guy I knew we I think I knew maybe that they were brothers or friends but you're right because I feel like there are a lot of loki fans for sure so um Yeah, overall, I think Loki, I mean, his character just had a little bit more of changes and we got to see some different sides of him. Not that Kristen do a good job, but it was just a little more one note, I guess. I almost wish that we got even more of this kind of answering your question in Dragliq. But I kind of wish that we got even more of Loki's point of view in this film. Like, I wanted even more scenes from him because I think that the double double cross at the

end just like caught me a bit off guard like I would have like like to see more into that but maybe that was the point well but you posed the question too you're like why would he do that and I was kind of like oh it's identity crisis it's you know so like all this information coming at him and not really knowing what to do with probably displaced anger you know but I yeah I could have done I could have done also you know if we go into attachment theory the fact that he was such a young child and he was ripped from his mother like like that does have effects on a newborn. But anyways, I digress.

Well, do Miao. What I think it meant in the direct context of this movie was having the wisdom, especially as a king, as a ruler, to understand what, if I'm going to put it specifically, yeah, for this Thor's character arc. It was not just running and guns blazing, being impulsive, like being driven by ego or trying to prove that you're worthy. It was kind of having the wisdom and wherewithal and patience and scope to understand what truly needs to be done, not for you, but for you to,

do in service to your people. Well, and as Sir Anthony told his sons, being a great ruler is not about seeking war, but just being prepared for it. And I think that's what Thor did. He also wanted to save the mortals in the town, which made me very happy. He seemed to be in a place of thinking of others and not just himself. And that is what recalled the hammer. Total recall hammer time.

Hey, we're onto the surface. Fun stuff. Jaden Rhodes, hey Jaden. Hey, dude. I'm curious if y'all, now being four movies deep into the MCU, what has been y'all's favorite and least so far? My favorite is this one. My least favorite is Hulk.

My favorite is Iron Man 2. Iron Man 1. I like Hulk. And then this one. Thor might be in the last spot for me. Wow. Oh, you're ranking them. Yeah.

Well, that's not what he was asking. I didn't ask for a rank. I don't feel like I'm so used to having to rank things. No, don't. I don't even put ranking in there because we're going to get to like 16 of these under the bell and I'm not going to be able to rank them. I'm going to be able to rank them. Well. I'm not. I just liked a lot of like the Thor stuff of like I like a lot of the transformations of things and like the bubbling and it was just kind of gross. Okay, and I like the gross. Oh, you mean the Hulk? Mm-hmm. Ew, I really hated it. Because of the gross stuff that I live? No, and also, I just like, it wasn't like, I could see myself watching this again.

I don't think that I would watch and watch. It just didn't really do it for me. Are there more Hulk's? He only got the one off. I feel like he got recast pretty soon, which is probably why we haven't seen him again. That's what I think. Mm-hmm. I guess we'll have to find out.

All right. All right. All right. Last one. Our last question comes from Jay Rushden. Hi, Jay. Jay asks, what is your opinion on Loki being misguided? Oh, about like where he came from? No, I think, I think Jay, I think that what Jay is asking is like, what did you think about kind of like his arc and how he got kind of misguided? And I think that, I mean, we, we spoke. about this when it happened, but I kind of feel like until he had the reveal and the earth-shattering world reveal that not only was he adopted, but he's also not even an Asgardian. He's a Yodunheim. He's something that, you know, in Asgard, they, um, he described it as what he say, that mothers tell their children, scary stories about. Cautionary tales about, yeah. It felt like all of his weird competition with Thor before was like very much just brothers.

And then I think that that news, like, really did send him into, like, a freaking manic episode. I would love for him to come back. I want him to have a comeback. Yeah, I think he will. I'm kind of sad. He was there at the end. No, I know. But I don't want him to be, like, I don't want him to be a villain.

Like, I just, like, I'm rooting for him. I agree. And his father was holding on to Thor. And Thor did not want to let Loki go. Loki let go on his own, you know? He was still down to save his brother. And yeah, they were going to forgive him. Probably because there was a lot of guilt there still from the dad too.

Yeah, and it's like the dad told him that he never wanted him to feel different. But now I feel like he's permanently going to feel different. Right. I mean, there's no, you can't undo that now for sure. No, and I feel like there is a key difference between how he felt like he fit into the world before he found out that information and after. You know? Yeah, he's got, look, he's definitely got some stuff to work out. And I think we're going to hash it all out with him.
