Greg Alba & Roxy Striar return to the wild desert of Nevada for Tremors 3: Back to Perfection, the cult-favorite follow-up that introduced us to a new terrifying evolution of Graboids—the Ass-Blasters! This direct-to-video sequel sees the return of Michael Gross as Burt Gummer, the ultimate survivalist, now leading the charge to protect Perfection from another subterranean nightmare. We break down all the iconic kills, laugh-out-loud moments, and fan-favorite callbacks to Tremors (1990) and Tremors 2: Aftershocks. From desert shootouts and high-flying explosions to the absurd but awesome creature effects, this movie balances campy charm with real franchise lore. Also starring Shawn Christian (Desperate Housewives) as Jack Sawyer, Susan Chuang as Jodi Chang, and Ariana Richards (Jurassic Park) reprising her role as Mindy. We also shout out the Graboids, Shriekers, and now Ass-Blasters as one of the most creative monster evolutions in horror-comedy history. This is our first time watching Tremors 3, and it did NOT disappoint—whether you're here for the nostalgia, the creature chaos, or the one-liners like “I am COMPLETELY out of ammo!” this one is for the fans! Reject Nation this past year, I've been taking my health way more serious.
I mean, it's physically, mentally, all of it.
I've drawn close to 50 pounds this year.
It changed completely how I eat.
And yes, that also includes going to the doctors, which used to be a nightmare.
Because you know that moment when you're like, I should see someone about this.
And then before you know, you're Googling, you're like 14 tabs deep.
And you're like, who takes my insurance?
Who's even available?
What do these reviews even mean?
Every time I just found the process to be such a headache.
calling around to see if they're available trying to figure out who takes my insurance,
getting stuck on hold for eternity, only to be told the next appointment is months away.
It's frustrating, time-consuming, and honestly discouraging.
That's why I never went, and that's why I now recommend Zock-Doc, sincerely.
Zoc-Doc is a free website that makes it easy to book in-network appointments
with more than 100,000 healthcare providers, typically within just 24 to 72 hours of booking.
And you can even score same-day appointments.
You can filter for doctors by insurance, location, and specialties.
And you can see reviews by verified patients.
So you can choose the best, most convenient care for you.
No need to call doctor's office or wait on hold.
Zoc Talk likes to do everything online so you can book your appointment and get on with your day.
I remember finally seeing a neurologist who actually took the time to listen.
Explain things clearly and didn't rush me out the door.
I felt hurt.
It changed how I viewed going to the doctor.
And Zoc Doc can help you find just that.
So if you're like me, it felt like you've been taking too long to take care of yourself,
You go to Zocdoch.com slash real rejects and actually book that appointment.
You deserve to feel good.
You deserve answers.
And Zocdoc makes that first step way easier.
Thanks to Zocococ for sponsoring this video.
Ladies and gentlemen, Roxy just watched Tremors 3.
Did Greg?
Greg watched Tremors 3 as well.
And we did it because you guys.
guys heavily requested it yeah and that led excitement and enthusiasm with an open mind we got some
questions with the pictures well we just start there i think it's a good place to start and then we'll
just see what happens afterwards sounds good let me just load this one post again and we'll just
go in order instead of uh try to think about how to you know organize it keep stalling dude verify that
you're a human all day.
Dude, dude.
Craig's got to go to the bathroom again.
You want to pause?
Nope.
Nope.
Don't you worry.
I see one.
Fly. Oh, wait.
Fly Pan Am.
Bert Gummer versus the Predter
1987 version. Who would win
with their full arsenals available?
I haven't seen it. You haven't seen Predator?
I don't think so. Maybe.
Arnold Schwarzenegger? Yeah, I don't think I have.
I might have. I don't remember it.
Oh, dude.
Oh, Burt would totally
Oh, versus the Predator?
Oh, no, the Predator would win.
I don't think Bert stands a damn chance
against the Predator.
Honestly, the Predator is just like
He's Burt, but with like,
with everything the Grabboid has, pretty much.
There's no way, no way.
I don't want to ruin what a predator does,
but the Predator has, like, everything.
He's a walking weapon with guns and shit
and has a heat vision.
You know, we don't need to get into it.
Flat Pan Am, I'm sorry.
Sorry to break it to you, Bert would lose.
Liam Harold.
You got fun facts for us, Roxy.
Okay, let's hear them.
Uses footage from Trevor's 1990 for some of the grabboid scenes.
Oh, I just like reused it.
Way to cut some corners here.
Okay, save that money.
For pacing and budgetary reasons, a lot of Shrieker action was cut from the middle of the script.
Definitely did not feel that.
Ultimately, shriekers only appear in the opening scene as well as there was shed huss later in the film.
I was definitely feeling like there was a lot of cut stuff going on.
100%.
And then they like stretched it out with a lot of human stuff.
to work around the lack of
But the whole thing could have been shorter
So it's interesting that they tried to stretch that
But yeah
All right
All right Jay Rushden has just a friendly comment here
This movie was fun with the ass blasters
Even never been in an elevator or a car
When someone farted loudly
Yeah
I never been an elevator of a car
Yeah that's uncomfortable as hell
Yeah see there's not a lot of people
Okay wait no we got some
What's happened? No rejects
I don't know what's going on here guys
we did this because you guys requested it kev b first we got some trivia here ass blasters inspired by the bombardier beetles these creatures propelled themselves by ejecting chemicals raised from their tails enabling flight without literal wings the filmmakers brought them to life using a mix of practical animatronics like articulated heads and stunt bodies mounted on carts and early cgi for flight and action scenes because this movie had a tight budget and
schedule some of the digital effects for rush
didn't perfectly match the physical models while the
ass blasters added something new many
people often point out the CGS sometimes
look a little bit plastic which
affected the suspense in certain scenes
did the creature effects suck
you into the monster mayhem or did
they make you laugh or roll your eyes
Roxy? It's like I
wanted to love them because
theoretically a creature
that farts, fire
and flies is
so up my alley. That's
silly and stupid and wild and different i'm into it but for some reason it just didn't grab me
and i do think that some of the effects didn't look great so uh i was a little bit rolling my eyes
and i was a little bit laughing i would agree with you full-heartedly on this one roxy
trevers three from brandon nasahoe uh says um or brandon saw ho
Chambers 3 is the best one
My favorite
Wow
Wow see there's one comment
We disagree with you
Full fartedly
Thank you
Resonant Z
Would you have seen this movie
If you knew what the next
Evolution would be
I remember a friend
Spoiling the Ass Blasters
When the movie originally came out
And it took me a while
to watch it after because of that
No in fact that's the hook
Like I would have been so excited
To know that
You know I just think that they didn't do
that hook justice fully no me neither man um i think that hook was once they introduced that i was
like oh shit things are about to like kick in a high gear me too me too and i was ready for it and i
kept gearing up and then there's like two moments bird gets swallowed that was cool and then
ass blaster and both times were like oh shit just that's like a turn and then nah it just kind
becomes a little bit like by the book um you know just the way things go i guess
and then um okay last one here could you ever in your lifetime of guess that's what they
would call the new evolution and tremors three no i think gliders makes more sense because they glide
yeah but the ass blasters is funnier but then they needed to do more funny stuff so yeah fire gliders
fire gliders yeah well we could also tell by the questions here that there wasn't much of an engagement on this one i'm kind of curious though because a lot of people wanted us to watch us and we do have people saying it was their favorite like really i mean it's even got like a pretty high ron tomato score out of five people yeah i saw that i don't know it's not like i was like oh i hate this movie i just kept waiting to like it yeah and i never got there fully well look bert
consistently great awesome he's so great i mean the movie would have sucked without him
bert saves every moment of this movie yeah
because like you go from a guy who's a great
because he's not like really a comedic relief in the first one
then he's definitely like more of a comedic relief in the second one
and then you take that guy and you make him a lead it's kind of a tall order sometimes
you do that with a movie you're like ah sometimes they're better fitted when they're
supporting character and they uh that's the biggest credit i can give this movie
they managed to make it a lead
What do you think about going back to perfection?
I like that we went back there.
However, the only reason to me that I would want to go back to perfection is for Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon.
And we don't have either of them.
And we have a bunch of kids.
And Riba.
Like, I wanted a rekindling of the love and realizing, like, he can't just be hunting these grabboids forever.
He wants to be with Riba.
I just wrote my own movie, but it's not this movie.
So if we're going to go back to perfection, I wanted some of those.
those characters instead we had the two annoying kids and the girl wasn't annoying but the boy was i
actually liked the rivalry though and i liked the original characters coming back into this i wish we
kind of had more of that leaned in more to that um but yeah so i thought it was good and
also could have gone further how about you yeah i think this is a movie with a lot of concepts that
they presented that i thought were like there were so many times i thought oh shit this is a cool
concept, beyond the two scenes, you know, even
when they introduced the government people coming
in and the endangered species and all that, I was like,
oh, damn, cool, what a great evolution.
Because I'm constantly interested in how they're
evolving the world outside of this town, you know,
like how popular are the grabboids and shriekers?
They've got comic books now and how popular is
the tourist attraction site, you know?
And, you know, like, they set up the thing
with, like, one of the kids has gone off and it's trying
to make money off of this town that he kind of hates it
he grew up in. Then you've got the daughter
who has reverence and still stuck here.
you got the one girl whose uncle died here in the first movie is now running the town like there's there's so much like potential that i love the setups for it and it just seemed like they were never fully met right and these are things that i don't feel like are budgetary problems you know i understand when it's like shriekers or grabboids and then oh they got to trim the budget because you know it's fucking it's a straight to DVD movie and you don't got fred war or kevin bacon coming
back so they're not really going to fund this movie i get that but these are the other things that i felt
like if they had you know realize these concepts more lean more into them instead of just setting them up
and then letting them kind of fizzle out throughout the course of the movie i think they gave so much
more attention to jack and and that girl with random scenes of them sort of bonding to have a romantic
ending uh that i'm like oh no there's there's all these other elements that could have just been
dialogue it would have made the experience more fun and more interest in the world building could
have been more interesting i think you know i'm totally with you so yeah it was kind of a missed
and i felt like the movie's like too long well what was it an hour 45 this is the longest
tremors movie i feel like a 90-minute movie would have really benefited this movie i don't know
why it was stretched out like i don't even know what the stretch i don't even know what the stretching
out purpose was, well, what have we
like, they just kind of like drag certain
things out that just felt repetitive from the first one.
Mm-hmm. You know?
Mm-hmm. I do know.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I'm bummed because
we're sitting here, I really like this franchise. We were so
pleasantly surprised with Tremors 2
that I was like, maybe I'm going to be pleasantly surprised
with Tremors 3. Me too. Me too.
And, like, the people had wanted us to watch it. I saw that
Rotten Tomato score and I was just like, oh, yeah.
So I just, I think that I, my expectations were too high
going into this. And this really was
super mid yeah
yeah
I would love to like really
break this one down but I'm like
it's just kind of
it's repetitive it's road it pulls
from the previous ones and the new characters
are not the most likable
I like the concept of the
it's shutting its skin and now it can glide
and the like the silliness of the way that
they do that yeah I just wish that the story
had been a little different what would you have wanted
to see in a tremors for after this
I don't know I think tremors
horse is the one that goes like prequel territory and stuff i don't really know but yeah you know it's like
at least in the second one even there was that the little point in that movie i'm like oh we're kind of
just going through the motions here when the shrieker stuff happens it really takes a turn and and i don't
i don't feel and yeah they have budgetary problems i don't really feel like they lean too much into
the ass blasters concept either and they seemed even easier to defeat than the shriekers they're like
too easy yeah the the heat thing also i don't feel like they were consistent with it because like if they go
towards the heat
and then there's huge fires
why are they still going towards you?
Yeah.
Look, there's like 18 of these movies
and so we for sure have
officially pissed off the fanfix.
Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I didn't hate this one.
I just wish I loved it and I didn't.
This was the one that I was like
consistently checking the clock for.
Yeah, I looked like four times at that
maybe more.
Once we were at the 45 minute mark, I was like,
okay, this movie's like kind of dragging it a little.
I know, I know, I know, I know.
God damn.
And it just felt like,
ah, you know,
you're the third one.
Go cheesier.
Go cornyer.
Go campier.
With the ass blasters.
You got to carry,
you had monsters named ass blasters.
Just go,
go.
I don't need something like,
I'm not saying go more serious
or like when you do world building.
Just like lean into something
to make it more fun.
But yeah,
I think that's the thing is like,
I just did not find this one fun.
It was a bit of a slog.
Yeah.
Yep.
Yeah,
dragged for sure.
And we normally talk for like 20 to 30 minutes
on these things.
I feel like we got like five
It's worth the talking points in, you know?
I mean, we thank goodness for their questions,
and I hope that we didn't do you guys dirty.
But, yeah, I don't have, I don't like to rip other people's art.
And to me, this just, there was so much more we could do with this,
and we didn't.
So I don't think it was horrific, but it just didn't work as well as I think it could
have if you had spent a little more time on the script.
Yeah.
I mean, okay, we've got to point us a couple more good things that we'll call it.
All right.
Like, what was like, uh, what was, what was,
oh, you like the Asian American?
representation. Hell yeah, there's got to be like
one cool moment. It was like
one cool. Well, I like the fact that
we, the fact that we
thought that they were going to eat the food and that would
multiply them, but then
the mom and the daughter realized that it actually
That's a real bummer. Yeah, bummer, but you know, that was a good moment of
watching Bert, like, really feel defeated then
because he can't, even doomsday preppers, can't
prep for everything.
A very formal moment was actually when he was
swallowed and they had to break him out. That was probably
my favorite moment. It was really early on. And it looked really good.
The orange and the...
Yeah, and the jack guy
kind of grew on me a little bit.
I liked that when we went into
the doomsday prepper room,
then he had that slide to get out, too.
Oh, man, he blew up his whole dune.
I know, I know, I know.
That jack guy didn't grow on me.
I know, I could tell.
I didn't like him, and I do like the girl,
and I was kind of like, what?
But, I mean, he got more useful.
I just didn't...
He was a swindler.
And then I know that it's ironic because the creepy dude at the beginning, I was like, oh, I wish the creep stayed around.
But he was just like a, I don't know.
I didn't love the characters in this one.
Hey, man.
It happens.
It happens.
There are times not a charm for Roxy and Greg, and I think we're going to call it on the trimers franchise.
So, yep, yep, yep, leave your positive opinions down below.
We went in with a real open mind.
All right.
I think I went in with two open in mind.
I thought this movie was going to be really good.
Well, we didn't even really want to watch the second one,
but the comments were, like, so encouraged and they were like,
all right, I thought I'm watching the second one.
That movie was straight up good.
And I thought it would be a similar thing.
And I was like, oh, no, this is not a similar thing for us at all.
This is kind of dragging.
But we've got to be honest.
But even though people say we like everything.
Yep.
All right, guys.
Well, we're going to peace out, and hopefully we don't lose the Roxy and Greg love that we have.
No, we won't.
You guys, I feel like that.
some of you guys think the same thing that we do but either way hopefully you just you still
vibe with the what are we groxy that sounds like a venereal disease and that checks out
got a case of the groxies that you know shit the regs oh we're the regs we're regs yeah that sounds
more like it sounds like an ass condition like you know no regs is like we're just regular
degulars wow this is boring i prefer the ass condition all right guys we'll see you
groxy out
Thank you.
Thank you.
