Starting point is 00:01:30 Oh, that was adorable. I loved that one. I did. I really love that one. It was so sweet. It hit me a little bit in like, oh, damn, I feel like I've been here a lot longer, but in a good way.
Starting point is 00:01:51 When it was close to the ending, it really hit me. I feel like I've been here for like a movie length time, but I haven't. And it really showed me that, weirdly this could have been a whole movie with the because it's all the beats of an action movie yeah and a lot of the tropes in plays but it got it moved through them without it feeling rushed exactly as good character arcs for both of them which was like the predictable character
Starting point is 00:02:16 art that you get into these kind of action movie but i love red guardian portrayal i at first he was kind of annoying but i think that was kind of the point is it supposed to be a little bit annoying i was struggling at first was like oh no at first i was like this is too goofy for me and i don't know what they think they're doing and then something clicked with enough enough jokes yeah eventually it became like really it was obadiahs eventually him being called the rook and also not being jeff britches really threw me yeah but i was like this sounds like a jeff bridges impersonation yeah so i started pick it up but yeah i was really into that one i like the action scenes i thought the action
Starting point is 00:02:45 scenes were great i'm remembering now that was the they like a year ago when one of season two ended they they showed a clip from them in the car i remember what you're right in the last car yes yes that's right little did we know that's why they led with this episode yeah was because of they they knew the strength of what this one was I wish that had been the first episode I think it should
Starting point is 00:03:06 have been the first episode like this was so strong because I think the second episode is my favorite but it's so niche this was broad appeal first episode good okay yeah this is definitely my first episode I felt really I really connected to it and I like how it really won me over strong and because in the first few minutes I was not really digging
Starting point is 00:03:22 it it was and maybe that might have been because I haven't really been I didn't really love the first two episodes i wasn't like in love with the first two episodes sure even though i liked the second one significantly more this one i found myself actually absorbent to and maybe it is also the the simplest one buddy yeah it's like the simplest one for me to attach to it i love like the mission impossible movies i love buddy cot movies yeah action movies so really yeah appeals to like things that i just love is like pure entertainment but really david harbour as right guardian sold me and again chemistry between the two i think that's the biggest takeaway i'm having
Starting point is 00:03:55 having with what they've done between last episode and this one is something I don't feel like we said in the last couple seasons is that now they're really as opposed to like hey what if this guy was iron man or some shit like that they're they're more like what if these guys paired what if these guys were friends yeah you know they had captain america and hulk then they had agatha and king go now you got um the red guardian and winter soldier they're doing friendships now Yeah. And going, here's what situations or missions might occur as opposed to, remember that movie you like, let's just do an alternate. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:32 And I think they were getting there. I like the kaju thing, the concept of that. Again, they did a completely unique plot for episode two. And they let the springboard be. What if he stopped the parents, stop them from getting killed, but they evolved into a completely different plot that I was very engaged into. I thought this was a truly great episode. and I think on like a rewatch those first few minutes that were kind of annoying me
Starting point is 00:04:56 I don't think would annoy me now that I understand where it's going and it was funny too. It's so interesting how this show every season we've liked it more as it's progressed. I wonder if it's just like accepting a tone, a style, the animation, like what it is, but every time the first couple I'm like, oh no,
Starting point is 00:05:11 and then it evolves somehow. Like the second one I liked so much more than the first, but this was like, even though I think the second episode is my favorite, I think this was just so much fun and so perfect for, for what they're trying to do. This feels more accomplished in their goal. Like, I think the, I have to separate my bias for the second episode.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I think this was a better episode. I just love Eternals and I love the concepts presented. But like, as far as if you're going to do a, what if Bucky befriended the Russian Captain America, this is such a delightful delivery of that. I think it's really good humor. I think the Marvel style of humor is really hit or miss, but this, like for audiences, I tend to enjoy it. But for audiences, I think it depends on like,
Starting point is 00:05:51 which corner of the internet you're watching people yell in, but this really showed how the repetition of a style can joke can find your way in because we were both like, oh, and then something happened where I was like, he's hilarious. Like, the repetition of the manifesto was so funny, the fucking
Starting point is 00:06:07 use of... It became funny once he started when he was forced to work with Bucky. Yeah. Yeah. And he needed the opposite to play off. Yeah, you need the straight guy to the comedy. And it was, the slapstick became funny because it was so... And like just him running with his fucking head up. like there was so many moments that were just glee it was hilarious um yeah this one was like i
Starting point is 00:06:25 we're both buddy cop people um maybe they released this on christmas eve because of this shame black like maybe it's christmas i don't know uh but like i i really think this is buddy cop i'm like the only reason i think of not making this the first one is that because this it sets up thunderbolts much better too like this this one feels like the reason to have this come out between thunderbolts and like everything yeah i i i it really i found myself going like this could have been a uh a show or movie in and of itself as a good i thought it was a really good concept it worked really well and even even the trope of that's what i like what they did with the trope of of like the cop who's every mention impossible movie has like the detective who's hunting down the main characters and only to
Starting point is 00:07:04 realize that like actually utton might not be a bad guy yeah but it starts off like he's the most dangerous man a lot to take him out and that's how it starts off here but instead of just making bill foster a cop they still kept him as goliath yeah and that was cool to actually that's very like Marvel Comics or you're like, but it's also Goliath. Yeah, it was fun. I thought this was a genuinely fun episode with a lot of heart. And I really appreciate that little quiet moment, too, of when Winter Soldier breaks. They have a really sweet moment.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Winter Soldier is able to break from the spell and or, you know, call it a spell, the hypnotism or whatever. Yeah, brainwashing. The brainwashing is able to break from that. And then they just kind of like look at each other with a little smile. Yeah, they're like, yeah, our friendship was strong. Yeah, and then there was like the, the LaMage shot that felt. like an homage to like which casting the Sundance kid. Oh, the Thumb and Louise moment. There's
Starting point is 00:07:52 a lot of visual cues to classic buddy movies. Yeah. Not always buddy cop, but in this case, buddy movies. Yeah. Plus a Hogan was dope. Yeah, it was cool action too. The action was cool and the joke about like anti-communism and
Starting point is 00:08:08 I worked for a communist pick. Oh, every for the people joke. This is a good American cop built by hard workers. It's really funny. Talking about the lights being out of the workers, the workers, the workers the workers. I just that joke was funny every time. Reject Nation, as I interrupt this video, and as we wrap up the year, the new cycle hasn't slowed down. And finding unbiased fact-based reporting is as crucial as ever.
Starting point is 00:08:31 That's why I'm once again excited to be partnering up with Straight Arrow News. A trusted source for reliable journalism. S-San was awarded certified balance status by all sides. The leading media bias rating system. This certification confirms S-A-N delivers genuinely centered news. free from partisan lean. That's really hard to find. One of the standout features is SAN's Media Mistool, which highlights underreported stories from both the left and right-leaning media outlets.
Starting point is 00:08:56 A powerful way to ensure you're getting the full picture. Especially as we reflect on this year's biggest stories and what's ahead for 2025. SAN has even been the go-to fact checker for a channel that I've been kind of obsessed with called Jubilee, but trust that to verify facts in some of the most talked-about discussions. So once again, if you are looking for unbiased, reliable news, S-A-N is the place to go. So as we head into this holiday season, it's the perfect time to check out, straight arrow news you can go to s an dot com slash real rejects or you can download the app you can visit

Starting point is 00:10:01 actually managed to do a hybrid where he got to have really cool moments and he got to be even goofier because he has this like american dream young boy optimism you know shot with the flag at the end with the rut like it's so good yeah but then to be like so disillusion by who he was working for that that dejection oh yeah i thought this was a really great one i really like this one yeah i did this one i had a lot of fun what'd you guys think is this was this your favorite of the three so far leave your thoughts down below uh be sure to subscribe leave a like we got uh five more five more to go through let's do it brian parry wow brian brian brian brian brian i think it's about time that you know it's
Starting point is 00:10:40 probably like oh we should shout the mc you but no man we know that you're more of a dc lover That's right. We know it. He knows it. I know it. John knows it. I think a lot about it. Hey, Brian Perry.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Look at you. Look up. It's Brian. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's Brian Perry. It's a Brian Perry. Not your Brian Perry, our Brian Perry.
Starting point is 00:11:02 That's right. Brian Perry, we have established that you are the DC representative of the patrons. And with that in mind, dude, you have inspired us through countless generations. That's true. Brian, you are someone who I feel like children can look up to. You're legendary. You're also someone that men can aspire to be. And women want to be protected by?
Starting point is 00:11:27 Oh, undoubtedly. That is Brian. When I'm around Brian Perry or think of Brian, I feel safe. He is my personal Jesus. In fact, I have a cross, a crucifix at home. I took Jesus off of it and put Brian on it. Absolutely. And now I feel.
Starting point is 00:11:45 like luck has really turned the tide for Greg Albao over here. Most definitely. I wish it had turned for me, but it's okay. I know you can only smile upon one of your children at a time. He's not omnipresent. He's got to choose, man. It's true. He's got to choose. That's true. It's one difference between you and the Lord. Yeah. But you know, you do what you can
Starting point is 00:12:02 and we appreciate that. Well, dude, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And let's face it, as a resolution, I know you're going to wish that Greg makes more money. And that's so kind to you because you don't ever think about yourself. Brian. And that's so sweet. And it starts first with your bank account, upping it at Patreon, like a real Superman would. Don't forget it.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Give us more money. Get those undies on the outside.
