I actually changed my desk so that I can face my success direction. And funny enough, as I was coming up by the stairs this morning, I got a letter.

Starting point is 00:02:54 I'm very much looking forward to be with you. I am super excited to have you here. So maybe let's start with your story. What got you into, and we'll talk about feng shui, dowsing, but what got you started into it? Is there something from your personal life that got you onto this journey? Well, I'm originally from Belgium, from a beautiful city called Bruges. And I grew up in a Catholic family who was very religious. and as a child, I was very connected already with energy.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I saw energy. I had a very strong intuition about people. But, you know, that was kind of it, to be honest. And then when I was 15, I was run over by a truck, and I got actually, you know, declared dead for a few minutes. And I actually left my body. I had a near-dead experience. and when I went on the other side, I was given the message that I had to come back
Starting point is 00:03:59 and that I was here to enlighten more than 500 million people. So that was the message that was given to me. I had no idea what that meant, to be honest. So I woke up a couple of days later out of a deep coma. And at that moment, I was like, you know, my health was really suffering badly. I had short-term memory losses, very heavy. from going from a straight A plus student. I went to a straight F student.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I couldn't memorize anything anymore. So I was really in a bad place. I was really depressed, as we would call that now. But it was interesting. I had already a spiritual mentor, somebody that, you know, once in a while would come into my life. And I asked him, what did I do wrong? That was my question.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Because I thought of myself as a really nice girl, and I was like a model. I was not physically, but like a role model in school. I was helping the Catholic Church. I was helping with the nuns. I mean, I was always like the pet pee of the teachers. I did the best I could. And he said just to me, well, you probably had bad feng shui. And that's the first time that I heard about these words feng shui.
Starting point is 00:05:17 At that moment, there were no books out in my language. the library had nothing about this information, but he shared some basic principles to me. And one of them was that I need to have a clean and non-chaotic place around me. So everything had to be clean and organized and be cluttered. The other one was that I need to sit in a certain position to always see the door.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I would be stronger. And also that all the things that were around me were actually influencing me. So all the images, around. And the bedroom I slept in was really very dark. It was the north side of the house. I mean, the images were images of my sister because it was like her bedroom that I took over. So I changed my bedroom to another place, changed in colors I loved, painted things around me that I loved because I could design things. And my life just switched around. I mean, it was
Starting point is 00:06:15 like interesting from being heavily bullied at school and beat up regularly. I became like a popular girl. My brains were working better. I was healing faster. I was like more happy, right? Joy came back into my life. And that's the first time I really understood that the environment was so influencing my mindset, but also influencing my life.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And it took me about 15 years before I started studying really about feng shui. Meanwhile, I became an international criminal lawyer. So from that perspective, I went like the normal direction in life, got married and so on, got my first baby. And so at 31, this spiritual mentor came back to me and said, well, the first book in your language, which is Dutch, comes out. And so I think it would be great for you to read about this. And then within a year, I was actually studying in Malaysia with a grandmaster on feng shui. because it really changed so much my life and I wanted to at least learn about it for myself as growing and knowing about this.
Starting point is 00:07:31 But I already had a consulting company at that point where I was working with clients and I started bringing that information into my consultation. And before I knew it, I was speaking about it, I was teaching about it. I did my master certification. And now I have more than 2 million online students in Feng Shui. So it's sometimes strange how your life turns around. And for someone who's new to the concept of Feng Shui, what is it and how does it influence, like, our life outcomes? Well, Feng Shui is an ancient energy system that the Chinese and other Asian countries have adopted.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And it's really, I call it the quantum physics of your environment. It literally, you can compare it with like acupuncture. Like if you go to an acupuncture specialist, they will look if your energy is flowing. And then they would put certain, you know, needles or pressure at certain points. And you start feeling better. You start healing better and you start feeling, you know, different. Think about feng shui is literally the acupuncture energy. system of your home.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Yeah? So by placing certain things around you, by placing plants and crystals the way you position yourself, putting that all around you, you actually are activating the energy around you. And so that is actually, in a nutshell, really what it is. Now, feng shui means literally the flow of wind and the flow of water. Because these are the two life force elements we all need. Like literally, if we stop reading, well, the most seven minutes, most people after two minutes, they can't survive, right? Or if we don't drink water and we dehydrate, I mean, you can be perhaps seven days without water, but ultimately that is not good.
Starting point is 00:09:32 So you actually, these are two life force elements that we, everyone on the planet needs, yeah? not only humans, but also think about plants, nature, they need wind, you know, they need water, the animals, you know, because wind is also the breadth, like breeding in, the wind you create yourself. So that is actually the basic, and it's about 4,000 years that they are aware of it, but of course different levels of knowledge. So right now, I would say we're in the modern age, we are knowing much more. more how that influences us than, you know, thousands of years ago, they just probably would feel it more. And I do say a lot of people have a feeling for how their environment is influencing them because they go to a place and they're like, oh, we love it here, but they really don't know why, right? Or they go to another area like, I'm never going back there. It just feels so
Starting point is 00:10:34 awful there. You're just like we have a sensitivity, right? We are picking up energy. absorbing energy. We're not just a physical body. We're an energy body. We have an energy system. And so more sensitive people will pick it up faster than others. But I would say, even very analytical people know when they are in a place that they like or they don't like it. Yeah. But of course, they have no idea why they like it. And they also have no idea that any place that they don't like, you can actually change it around by putting the right things and colors and images and elements around it. So you'll start feeling very good in that place.
Starting point is 00:11:14 So right now in the Western world, I would say when I started studying that, and this is literally 31 years ago, I mean, that was like, I was at that moment the first European student of my grandmaster in Malaysia. So it was so new, right? And now I have millions of students worldwide in the Western world. So it's just like it really opened the door. And why is it so important? Because a lot of people, you know, you talk about resilient mind,
Starting point is 00:11:45 a lot of people think everything happens in the mind. And I always say your home, your space around you has a mindset also. You create that mindset by the energy of the space, by what you place in that space. It becomes like an external mindset that reflects back subconsciously into yourself. And so one of the things I started teaching 30 years ago was that actually your environment is a missing link to what we would call the law of attraction to manifestation. A lot of people use their mindset, goal setting, strategy, and that's a very important. But it's also a part of taking action, you know, surrounding yourself with the right people, perhaps prayers. affirmations, connecting with God or whatever you call that in your own religion or belief system.
Starting point is 00:12:42 But there's a last part, and we call that the earth luck. And so a lot of people think mindset is everything, and then other people think religion is everything to manifest. But what if I say they're equal, right? And there's a last part, and that is what we call your earth luck. That means how your environment is affecting your mindset, is affecting who you are and how you connect with everything. And so I always say it's 33.3% of your results or actual environment. Because how can you be, for example, positive with the mindset and be strategic and know what to do if everything around you is chaos, yeah? Is everything around you is cluttered?
Starting point is 00:13:26 I mean, you cannot really focus at that. And so one of the things I started looking at were the brain waves. So we know that most people have. have mostly beta brainwaves. Yeah. And so that means the energy is more to the back of their head. And so the vibration is there. They're more into a survival state.
Starting point is 00:13:49 They're more in that rat race mentality. They are more in fear. They're more limiting their belief system. And so that is actually beta brainwave. And it's a very quick brainwave. So it goes up and down all the time. And so what, you know, in the last 20, 30 years, a lot of specialists and teachers have been started focusing on getting into alpha brainwaves through meditations, through certain
Starting point is 00:14:21 techniques, through, for example, even walking in nature, we get in more and more alpha brainwaves. When we're in alpha brainwaves, we're focusing our energy to our frontal lobe or frontal cortex, and that means we'll start thinking more towards the future, towards the future, towards vision, the more optimistic, the more creative. And so there's more space between the brainwaves, yeah? So it doesn't go so quick anymore.
Starting point is 00:14:47 There's more harmony, up and down, vibration. And then we can go even into Delta, delta, brainwaves. And, you know, I would say last 20 years have been a lot of studies around that. So one of the things I claimed from the beginning was actually that it changes your brain waves. And it's only after a few years. years that we did some tests with encephalograms, putting people in a place that is very chaotic.
Starting point is 00:15:11 And within a few minutes, they had much more beta brainwaves. We put them in a function, harmonized place with the right colors, declathered, and immediately started having more alpha brainwaves. So I really saw that it adopts your mindset. So that is why some people, when they go to a place where there's harmony and they feel it's nice, they want to stay longer. Why? Because their alpha brain waves are coming up in their brain and they're full more in harmony and peace and more optimistic and they can't make better conversations.
Starting point is 00:15:46 When they are in a place of chaos or the images around them or the colors are very intense, they start going into beta brainwaves and it's harder to communicate. It's harder to feel in harmony. It's harder to think towards the future. So that's something that I started adding as information to Feng Shui. And that is where, you know, nowadays, I would say, in the Chinese colleges and universities, I start looking more into like how if people sleep in a room that is, for example, certain colors, how their blood pressure would be and how their white blood cells would react.
Starting point is 00:16:29 So I physically more measuring how the body. body would react towards that. So there are more and more studies coming out in China about this. Like they have been looking for studies for acupuncture or Tai Chi or any method that they're using to change the vibration. Fascinating. And is there like the same feng shui environment for everyone or do we each have our own unique fengue style or the way to organize things?
Starting point is 00:16:59 Well, there are some general principles that I always share with people, but there's also something more connect with your personal energy. And so people can find that out. You can actually download for free the Marie Diamond app on the app stores. And what it will ask, it will actually ask, I'm just going to it right now. So I'm going to ask your birth day and your birth gender, because it's connected, the chi of your soul coming into your body, is connect with your birth day, and it's not typical neurology.
Starting point is 00:17:35 So I know some people follow neurology. It's a whole different calculation. But it's also connected with your DNA, your original DNA. And that's why we need to know male or female DNA at the bird. And so what it then does, it calculates a number between one and nine. And based on that number, there is, like I'm number five, you will see on the, there is a diamond compass. And so there are four directions, four wind directions that work for me better than others. So because it's all about wind and water, it's all about where the flow is the strongest for you.
Starting point is 00:18:15 So for me, for example, southwest is my strongest flow of energy, where it's like my success and abundance energy comes in from the southwest. So that is why, for example, when then you hold your compass and you hold it in the center of the room, that where your success direction is, you then place things that are connected with your success. So in this room, actually,
Starting point is 00:18:43 it is literally in this area behind me. Okay. So I have the book, The Secret. Yeah? I have my newest book, Your Home is a Vision Board. You see that there. And there are some other books there, right?
Starting point is 00:18:54 There's some programs here. There's like my latest front cover. So you don't see everything, but it's like in that whole area is awards that are there. So all the things that work for me personally. And that's for the rest of your life. And there's also something called the relationship direction. Yeah. So for me it's west.
Starting point is 00:19:20 So that's more here, this area for me. So I have like a friendship circle. I have some organizations I'm founding member in. So there are some things that are there like a thank you note. So I create like a story, almost like a vision board. You will make like a storyboard instead of putting it on paper. You kind of make that vision board in your environment. So that is very personal.
Starting point is 00:19:48 And that is a part of function that most people are not aware of. but that works very fast. The moment you start changing the things around you, connect with your birthday, that individualization of feng shui works very fast and has very fast results. And before this interview I was actually using your app and I actually changed my desk so that I can face my success direction and also go into the power position.
Starting point is 00:20:17 And funny enough, as I was coming up at the stairs this morning, I got a letter for like a pension that I'd forgotten about from over 10 years ago. And they're like, you need to take your money out. And I'm like, I don't know if it's coincidence, but I'm like, maybe I should have done this much, much, much quicker. So I thought that was like some interesting synchronicity. That's a beautiful style. Yeah, it is synchronicity.
Starting point is 00:20:44 And what I love about, from Shui, is like you're sitting yourself in the flow, you're opening up the energy. But you also mentioned something very much. important and that's what it called a power position. Now, that's a general rule, a rule that works for everyone. And that is, for example, in your office or if you have a designated office or you work from home, always sit in such a way that you can see from in that room the door that people walk into that room. So for example, my room is door is over there. So I can see people coming in. Like my assistant just brought me a cup of tea, I can see her, right?
Starting point is 00:21:25 So I don't have to turn around to see her. So that's one of the things that I always, we call it a command position, the power position. It means that you're commanding your energy. And think about a CEO of a top company. They will never sit with their back to the door in the office. They always would sit at a beautiful desk, perhaps some chairs on the other side, side, people can come in, they can speak to people coming in.
Starting point is 00:21:52 They will never put their desk against the wall. That would be like a receptionist would do that. But I always say to people, you don't need to stay a receptionist. Everyone can sit themselves up to be in a position of leadership. Yeah. So if you think about the king or queen, a prime minister, you know, a president, they would never sit with their back to the door. It's like they know that somehow instinctively, right?
Starting point is 00:22:22 And I do believe it's connected with what we call the primitive human being. If you think about if he would be in a cave and there's the opening of the cave, if he sits with the back to the door and there's a tiger coming in, I mean, he's eaten up. If he sees the cave, he can jump up fast enough to grab a weapon and defend himself. Yeah. So in a way, what it does, it changes your energy. And the moment you are in a command position, immediately you're going already into more alpha brainwaves.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Yeah? So you let go over. You will have less beta brain waves. And so if you then can also face a good direction, activate this energy. It's like the portals are opening up, right? So a portal of abundance, a portal of hell, a portal. And for you, it was like getting that letter in. And I've seen this many times that people say,
Starting point is 00:23:15 I put myself in the right position and I got a check in the mail that I forgot that I would ever have. Or I got the bonus. I got the change. I got a new client that pays well. What it does, it's because it opens your mind. So it literally, the energy opens up. And perhaps if you would have been when you're desk differently, perhaps you would not even have opened that envelope. Perhaps you have thrown it away and we're not even seeing it.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Now, that envelope would still have come for sure. Right, but because it's part of what you deserve. But it's all about like this little changes that people happen. And I've seen so many times also from amazing teachers in mindset. I'm thinking about the late Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, you know, Rhonda Byrne from The Secret. At a certain point, they all came to me and said, we're hitting a ceiling. Yeah. It's like a mindset cannot do everything.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And then I made sure that the environment was aligned with the mindset that they want to have by, for example, putting the awards in the right place or certifications or putting themselves in the right position. And suddenly they had breakthroughs to go to the next level. Yeah. And so because they become more and more in the flow of good energy. And when you're facing that good direction and sitting in a power position every day, you have, first of all, much more energy. People always say, my God, you have so much energy.
Starting point is 00:24:46 It's not that I work out all the time, and it's not like I take all the best supplements. It's just because I'm always in tune with the energy. Yeah. And so I get ideas. Things just happen so easily for me. I mean, just think about, I'm an international lawyer from Belgium that got in the secret that everybody else was known as, you know, big speakers, big authors. I think at that point, only about 2,000 people were aware of me, and I still got in the secret. Why? Because I put a vision board up. I put on my vision board in my success direction,
Starting point is 00:25:26 who's southwest for me, for you could be east, north, something else. I put on my vision board a yellow post-it note, and I put on, I'm going to be in a movie seen by millions of people that will transform the world. That was my sentence. I put it in my success direction. I put it in my success direction. I got myself a fake Oscar, like literally a little fake Oscar. Because it's good to put a symbol in that area for what you want to do. I put it there. And the first thing that happened was I attracted my first Oscar winning client. Within a month, an Oscar winning client called me. I don't, I don't know where he got my number from. And he said, could you help my family?
Starting point is 00:26:11 I said, okay. So my Oscar started working. And then I was invited to be in helping some of the top leaders in the self-help world because they were stuck, you know. And then I was invited in do a mastermind group called the Transformation Leadership Council, created by Jack Canfield. And that's where the film The Secret was filmed. two years as we were in that mastermind for like 70% of the people in the secret were in that
Starting point is 00:26:43 mastermind. And so there were like 70 people interviewed, but they only took 24 people out, yeah, to be in the movie. And then when the movie was airing and my colleagues were saying, but Marie, what are you in the secret? I am so much more known. I've sold millions of books. and she didn't take you she didn't take me she took you total unknown person and I said well it was on my vision board wasn't on yours
Starting point is 00:27:12 right but also I had the symbol now the secret never won an Oscar for short but it has reached more than 500 million people more than most Oscar winning movies and I love when you're talking about the vision board
Starting point is 00:27:28 because it sounds like there's a specific process to it right no way of success direction is, put the vision board in there, see your environment as a three-dimensional vision board. So is there other components that come to a vision board? I know you've got a course around that. They also have the components. Yeah, but it's also in the book, your home is a vision board. It shows how to make a vision board. So one of the things why a vision board is very powerful because most people write down goals. So when they write down goals or they're journaling or making a live book,
Starting point is 00:28:07 it's a very analytical thing. Like you write something down. And it's like, okay, your mind says this is what I want. This is what I desire. But they forget the other side of their brain. And that's the creative side. Yeah. Now, in order for us to really manifest easy and fast, we need to have both.
Starting point is 00:28:28 parts of our brain working together. So a vision board is literally that combination. So when I do a vision board, I always say to be, okay, let's go over the goals, what you want for success, for health, for money, for relationship, for inspiration, your connection with God, whatever it is for you you want to manifest. And then there's specific areas on a vision board, again, based on your birthday again, that we place that. And we write the goals, but the goals alone or not enough. I always ask them to add symbols, images to a vision board so that the creative mind is also satisfied. Now, some people make vision boards and they take a paper and they find all these quotes and all these images from magazines and they just kind of put it
Starting point is 00:29:14 on the vision board. They slap it on there, but there's no strategy. There's no goal setting. So you need to have both, yeah? You need to have a clear mind. what do you want and writing it down and adding that beautiful image or the beautiful color or something so your creative mind can say, oh, I get it. Because your creative mind doesn't understand when you write something. Now, your analytical mind doesn't understand what you're putting there as an image because it has no idea. There's no goal.
Starting point is 00:29:45 There's no text with it. So I always do both of them. But I also ask people to put in the center of their vision board a picture of themselves or their name. Yeah. So when they look at the vision board, they're like, hey, this is my vision board. You have to understand the universe is reading that. But what is the universe?
Starting point is 00:30:05 This is you. Yeah. So if you make a vision board and you don't even say, hey, I'm the center of what I'm creating. Not putting a picture on the side, but like in the middle, like I'm the, I'm the center of what I'm creating. And everything I'm creating is all around me, right? And when you look at your vision board, then you know it's my vision board. how many times I come to people homes and they have like, they have vision boards like,
Starting point is 00:30:28 whose vision board is that? Oh, I don't remember anymore. I think it's the one from my husband. Are you sure? Put a picture in the middle. It's from your husband, right? So just be clear. And then what I suggest to people to always put it in the area that has the most flow for you.
Starting point is 00:30:48 And that's why we put it in your success direction. Right. So it's not here in my office because I put it. it in my bedroom because, you know, I don't want always people to know what my my vision is for the future. It's something very private. So I would say, don't hang it in a living room if you don't want your family and your friends to see it or in the office when clients are coming in, put it in your bedroom. But always check out with a compass. Yeah. So where is my success direction? And my success direction in that area, don't put it on the ground because then you know,
Starting point is 00:31:24 look down on it, hang it on the level you can see it, yeah, or level of your heart and your eyes like here, so that you can see it and read it. Don't just hang it there and then forget about it. Just every day, every week, take some time to look at it, read the text, but don't read the text out of light, oh, okay, that will never happen, right? But just read it out loud with joy, with like, oh my God, thank you, God, universe, for manifesting this for me. I'm so grateful. So do it with some joy and enthusiasm, right? So what I did with my vision board, I would read my I am in a movie going to be seen
Starting point is 00:32:08 by millions of people and I had my little Oscar. And I just would say, hey, Oscar, thank you. I'm now in more than 15 documentaries, by the way. So it's like I didn't stop, right? So I kept my Oscar there. That's amazing. And I'm thinking, because as listeners are hearing this information, they're probably thinking about, okay, vision board in the success direction in the bedroom.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Maybe can we go through really quickly each of the rooms to get some quick tips if people want to feng shui the rooms in their life? Yeah. So starting with the bedroom, what are some recommendations, some do's and downs for? for Huang Shui there. Well, it depends a bit if you're single or if you're with somebody already, right? So if you're single, I always say to people, look around you if you have images of single people, like, or could be even a statue of a single cat or an image of a single dog
Starting point is 00:33:12 or a single woman hanging out there. Whatever is around you, especially in the bedroom, you're even more vulnerable to it because your subconscious mind is always at work when you sleep. And so just remove anything that represents that solitude. Because you've been saying, I'm okay by being single. So take that out. Put images of things in pairs. Like put two cats, yeah, two candles, two hearts.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Also look what is above your headboard. Like, you know, you're laying down and the wall behind you. What hangs above your headboard? If you have there an image of water, you'll be drowning. If it's an image that is quite chaotic, you know, you're not really bringing in a lot of romance at that moment, right? So if you are in a couple already, then take pictures of you as a couple and put, for example, somebody said, can I put my wedding picture above my headboard? I said, yeah, if you really love that, of course, could be a more recent picture.
Starting point is 00:34:13 You've been on a travel. you have some pictures when you were traveling somewhere and you hang it out, then activate your relationship direction. So literally take your compass and stand in the center of the bedroom and look where is the relationship. If there's a couple, then it could be that the relationship direction is different. Yeah? Doesn't matter. Just hang two images of the couple, right?
Starting point is 00:34:38 Look at colors for the bedroom. Bedrooms, sometimes people are using colors that are not so good for. for resting, but also not for romance. So, for example, if you have a lot of blue around you, then you actually feel like you're more stressed because it's like blue stands for water. When we have too much water around this, we are feeling like we're drowning a little bit in our emotions. So try to avoid any water images and too much blue. It doesn't mean you cannot put some blue items, that's fine.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Not like the walls blue or the curtains or the carpets blue. Red's the same thing. Red is too intense. It's a fire element in feng shui. And when you can put symbols of red, like a red light or, you know, red candles, that is nice. It shows some passion. But if you do like a red wall or a cover that is red, it's too much fire and people have a harder time to sleep. So the best colors are like earth colors, like beige, brown, pinks for girls, yellows, for boys, for example, is nice, oranges.
Starting point is 00:35:42 that is always a very grounding and warm cocooning energy. You can also work with metal colors like white, silver, golds, but sometimes it can be a little bit too cold for people. Then add some more earth colors to it, like the yellows, the pinks, the oranges. And how important is decluttering? So if I've got a messy room, does that affect my sanctuary? It does constantly, you know, because even before, I start talking to you, I made sure I have a few things organized.
Starting point is 00:36:18 It's like when you wake up in the morning, make your bed. You don't want to go to your bed in the evening when it's all, you know, a chaos. I mean, how is that affecting your self-work, your self-value also? It's not just a romance, right? But I've seen people literally having, when I come into their bedroom, like the clothes are on the ground, the shoes are on the ground. And I say, you know, literally, before you go, can go and find your partner, you're already falling over your own clothes. I mean, what is that?
Starting point is 00:36:49 Or I've seen, I remember this woman and she was 10 years single. And on the side of her bed were all her clothes from the whole week and dirty and good clothes and shoes on it and her computer and said, there's no space for that partner to even come in. So she cleaned it up. And within a few weeks, she got a new partner because she is like clutter is telling you're creating chaos around you. So chaos is always beta brainwaves. And so you need to get in order to open yourself for new opportunities, new situations, good energy coming in, you need great space. And it can be also that you're quite organized. but when you open your closets and you're single,
Starting point is 00:37:38 there's just no space for another person to come in and even to hang your clothes. You go to the bathroom and there's just like only place for the perfumes of one person. So make sure there's space. Because when you create space around you, you create space within you. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 00:37:56 And how about the living room? What are some feng shui recommendations? Yeah. So in the living room, one of the things that I always say to people, as you walk in, make sure you're welcomed. So that means I don't have sofas, like the biggest sofa of your, like say you have two sofas. Don't put the biggest sofa with your back to the incoming energy.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Because you're then saying to your friends, you know what, I'm not really interested in you. I'm sitting with my back. So that's again that command position. So make sure when you come in as far, that people can walk as far as possible and sit in your couches. Update your pictures. So so many times people have images of their children when they're five. Meanwhile, they're 25, you know, and they're like, oh, I don't like coming home anymore. Well, they're not very welcome. They're still treated as a baby. So I would say update that. Yeah. Another thing I would always look at on your coffee table, don't leave things from the old plates and the cups
Starting point is 00:39:03 and the cans of your soda cans from days, like clean it up, you know, and add some, again, warm colors. It could be fresh plants like a bouquet of flowers. It could be orchids that you put on the coffee table. Crystals are also very positive. Litter candle when you sit together in the living room, just with a beautiful scent.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Just make it more cozy. You know, most of the time people are just not using enough that space. and make sure the television is not the main person or the main energy that is leading. So when people come in and everything is focused towards the television, then people will not talk to each other. So just be careful about that. And I know you talked about mirrors and windows. How do those affect the function of the place?
Starting point is 00:39:56 So windows are always allowing energy to come in because they are creating the sun comes in. So that's good. So I always say to people, open your windows at least once a day. That's fresh air in because that's wind. So you need to get fresh wind in. So open your curtains. Like even if you're thinking, well, it's just my bedroom. No, just in the morning, in the morning, open everything up as much as you can.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Let sunlight come in, that fresh wind come in. But mirror is interesting enough can be really positive or can be really damaging. So a mirror can be damaging if you have it in your body. bedroom. So if a mirror is in your bedroom and it reflects the bed, it actually reflects the people that are asleep. So it actually, mirrors are kind of considered doubling amplifiers. Yeah. So the amplifying, if you're by yourself, you're amplifying your loneliness. If you're sick, amplifying your sickness. If you stress, they amplify you stress. So I always say cover mirrors during the night. Put the screen in front of it, a curtain, take it out. But,
Starting point is 00:41:03 But also televisions can be amplifiers because when you look at the television screen and it's not working, it can be like a mirror effect. Yeah. So be careful about that. But mirrors can definitely be placed in like dining rooms. You know, doubling the food is always a good thing because it shows that there's always food on the table. But what you also try to avoid is mirrors when you walk into the house. So when you open the door, you don't want to see the mirror. opposite the door or to the side of the door
Starting point is 00:41:35 so that you're like, you come in and your energy is bouncing out. So put a mirror on the side that the door doesn't open to. That's another thing. And also try to avoid having mirrors in your kitchen. You don't want to double the stove.
Starting point is 00:41:54 You don't want to double the water, the sink because these are draining and not positive energies. And for those, let's say if I'm living in an environment, with bad feng shui, I've not looked at this, but I'm feeling stuck in my life. So does bad feng shui keep a person stuck or keep them, if they're trying to recover from an illness or if they want to change their life, bad feng shui can keep them stuck. Is that inaccurate?
Starting point is 00:42:20 They do. They stay in a stagnant energy, right? So I always say to people, of course, there's three aspects, right? Like I said, you can do prayers, you can affirmations, you can do some healing. You can also change your mindset. You can take actions. But sometimes people cannot even take actions or they are stuck in a mindset because the environment is actually doubling that stagnation that they feel in themselves.
Starting point is 00:42:50 So I always say it's sometimes the easiest to change. Like decluttering is easier to do than changing your mindset. Changing your mindset takes time. Let's be honest. It takes time to really always be positive. every morning. But I'm decluttering. Every woman, I'm telling you, knows that.
Starting point is 00:43:10 You know, when it's springtime and they start spring cleaning, and they wash everything and they wash the windows and not only women in this world anymore. Now, man, also thank God for that. Right. But that was like for generations, that's what the women would do when it was time after the winter, but they were stuck into the space because it was cold, right? they would literally, you know, clean out the cobwebs and they would bring in some new fresh air
Starting point is 00:43:39 because it was time for spring. When it's springtime, we go out. We want to be in nature, right? But we also want to bring nature in. We put some new plants out in our garden. We put some new fresh bouquet of flowers out. We become alive again. But what if we can do that all the time?
Starting point is 00:43:57 Not just in spring, right? But the whole year, you want your house to be experiencing vitality, yeah, to have the flowers, to have the plants, to feel like, oh, it's all fresh and clean and organized. I mean, people come in my house, and every time people are like, wow, right? Because they don't even know if I'm always doing feng shui that anyone that comes in, it's like, because the colors, the energy is so beautiful. And they're like, oh, and I have to be honest, even last night there were friends coming
Starting point is 00:44:31 over. And I have to gently tell them, it's 11 o'clock. It could be nice. People don't want to leave my space, you know. It's because it feels so in harmony. And one of the other aspect of it and just briefly, because there's something that can affect feng shui, which I think you call geopathic stress. For those that have never heard that, like what is geopathic stress and how can it influence or impact? So we have what we say, the environment that we work with feng shui, where we use the colors, the elements, the position, the decor, yeah, the way the outline of houses, how the landscape works around with that is feng shui.
Starting point is 00:45:20 But for, I would say, thousands of years, people were also aware that there are spots on the planet, in the earth, that are more positive vibrational than others are negative. And for thousands of years, there were people that were aware of it. If they were called druids or shamans or priests in Egyptian knowledge, they would always look for places that had high vibration. And then they put place on these high vibration points, what you could call acupuncture points almost, yeah, but it's actually crossing of laylines.
Starting point is 00:46:00 They would put their temples, they would put the cathedrals, they would put stone circles like Stonehenge. Think about the Vatican, for example. The whole Vatican is placed on laylines, St. Paul's Cathedral, Berkingham Palace, the Champs, D.C. in France, in Paris. I mean, there were groups of there were called masons, or they were called the initiates, the ones that had insights in energy of places.
Starting point is 00:46:32 And so they would build even cities around such a positive energy. And they would try to avoid being in the negative areas. In the negative areas, they would then put farmland. And so they were not only looking for the lane lines, we were also looking where there's a lot of underground water. So they would always try to have their cities at place where there's above water like rivers and seas because they could see and control the water. But where they felt there was a lot of dampness, a lot of mold, a lot of underground water,
Starting point is 00:47:07 that's where they would put animals on. They would never build houses on it. Now that knowledge that we would call now dowsing, but some people would have known that under like their grandfathers, they would have this dowsing rods. and they would look for the wells, like where is the underground water? They would never live on the well. They would never sleep on the well. But like on a farm place, they would have a well.
Starting point is 00:47:39 They would put a structure on it to get the water out, but they would never sleep on the water because they knew that was really damaging for our health. So this is actually dousing rods that we're using. So in the ancient traditions, even from Schweemasters, they were always doing the two things. They would look at the decor, the colors, the elements, and they also would look at where are these strong lines, these laylines, and where are this what we call geopathic stress?
Starting point is 00:48:08 And geopathic means the earth is sick-making. So pathos means sick, and geo means the earth. So it's like there are areas where we have geopathic energy. And nowadays, we lost a lot of that knowledge. And so people have built houses, not in the cities anymore, but expanded the cities and they took on the farmland, right, to build beautiful areas with beautiful houses. And they would literally build on such a geopathic stress zones. When you are just walking on the stress zones, that's not a problem. That's why animals could walk on it.
Starting point is 00:48:49 But sleeping on it, day after day, that's. actually starts creating health issues. So I know some people will talk about electromagnetic fields, that could be harmful. I'm not going to talk about that, but it's really what is living in the earth. And so one of the things, and I have a whole program on it called Diamond Dowsing, where again, I brought this ancient knowledge in a more modern way, connected again with the brainwaves. But finding out with dousing rods, we also found a way to do acupuncture points.
Starting point is 00:49:23 And we use literally acupuncture needles. I'm going to show you one. Yeah. So we created like special cure, special needles that we put in the house. And when that geopathic stress zone hits it, it returns the energies. Like repolarizes the vibration. And we have seen amazing changes in people's life, feeling more happier. There's more energy in the house.
Starting point is 00:49:51 people sleep better people also feel that they are having a stronger immune system because if you sleep all the time on these negative zones it's harder to fall asleep it's also harder to create to have an open mindset
Starting point is 00:50:10 to be honest so the mindset of people changes there so we always bring both together so when I do consultations for companies or private people we always work on both sides both of feng shui and the dowsy. Yeah, and I know like we don't have like as much time, but I do know you talk about dousing in terms of even with your own story with your father in terms of him being on that
Starting point is 00:50:33 stress line and how it affected his, his, yeah, my father slept on two underground water lines, yeah? And my father passed on from stomach cancer and liver cancer. Now, I'm not saying that created a cancer. My father made a lot of wrong decisions in his life, ate very badly, had a huge trauma from childhood. So there was a lot of situations. But it was interesting, though, that where the crossing of this negative lines was was actually on his stomach. And the previous owner of our house actually also got in the same place stomach cancer after living there for 20 years. Now, he moved out and he recovered. my father didn't move out right so he stayed there and i always say where the crossing of that
Starting point is 00:51:27 geopathic stress zone is that is where the weakest point is in the immune system he probably could have had cancers anywhere in his body right because of the way he was perhaps it was part of the DNA genetics whatever it was but i still felt that leaving us at when he was 68 was a little bit too early. So I always felt he probably would have attracted cancer, but probably later on in his life. Yeah. And it perhaps would be in a different place. So we have seen that when we then cure these things, that people, it's like the medicines, they take the modalities, they take Western or Eastern whatever modality. It's like the body accepts it easier. So it's not a replacement, right? This is, we are not doctors, we're just helping the environment to support the body better for the practices,
Starting point is 00:52:24 the medicines they're taking. And so we have seen that it's like the body accepts it easier. And that's why people are going to heal easier and faster. And so if someone is listening to this and is excited to start applying what they've learned, but they're feeling burnt out, stuck, overwhelmed. What can they make as a change today in the environment? that will start getting them to reclaim their power. Well, I would say, first of all,
Starting point is 00:52:52 I would love that for you to look around your house, to be honest, and become aware of the house. And to think, two questions. The house that, the way it is now, is that reflecting who I am? And second question is, is this reflecting who I want to be? Yeah. So, for example, if you're a single and you have all images of single people, well, that's reflecting who you are right now.
Starting point is 00:53:16 but is that what you want to be? No, I want to be in romance. I want to have a family. I want to have children. Okay, let's take some changes. Second thing is start decluttering. Even if you let go of 10% and organize things around you, your mindset will improve. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Sit in a power position. Try to always in any place you're sitting, even in a coffee area or a lobby of a space or the conference room. Always sit in a way. that you can see the door. These are simple things you can all do. Starting point is 00:54:24 Well, I would love for you to be open to how your environment can affect you and to even look back at your own life. Like there were, I'm sure, houses you lived in were bedrooms you slept in where you felt like I was really not happy there. What was there at that moment? You know, look back a little bit and then say, oh, yeah, that was. I was a happy place there. Oh, that color.
Starting point is 00:54:46 I love that color. You know, perhaps I could use that color again. Or that image. I was so afraid of that image. You know, I, so just think about, go back a little bit to the past and then so just practicing. Just be open to see like how your environment is affecting you. And I always say to people, look, this is not a religion.
Starting point is 00:55:09 This is not the belief system. It's just a practical energy system. that you just can start practicing. And you don't need a huge background for that. You can just start with playing with my free app and working with my book. And it kind of works totally together, the app and the book.
Starting point is 00:55:27 And so you can just start. A small change can already open an energy field. Yeah. And perhaps you've been really trying everything with your mindset and with a lot of prayers. And you're like, it's like the universe is not hearing me. The universe is not hearing you because your environment is telling you.
Starting point is 00:55:44 a different story than the story you have in your mind. Beautiful. Thank you so much, Mary, for your time.
