Before we get into today's episode of Daily Brighteners, we just want to say a huge thank you
to our proud partners, Shaw, for being with us from the very beginning and what a start it's been.
I think the reaction to our podcast so far has been nothing but positive from our family,
from our friends, from our teammates, from our fans. It's been really nice to see all the positive
reviews and feedback, so keep that all coming. Yeah, I also think that we've probably learned
a lot about ourselves and me and Rach always talk
about this podcast, you know, it's more than just us chatting,
it's actually like a little therapy session.
And I've actually learned a lot about myself
and I feel like it's given me the confidence
to open up a little bit more and show that more vulnerable side.
So, yeah, it's been really, really refreshing.
And we also get to appreciate all the things
that we've achieved. Rach, everything you're achieving with Villa, you know, the form at
the end of the season, me getting my 200th in the WSL and talking about all our accomplishments,
the hard times. Yeah, it's becoming a really nice platform actually, and I'm really enjoying
where it's going. But thank you to everyone for the amazing support. So thanks again to
Shaw for showing up for Women's Football and back in the pod from day one and thank you all for tuning
in.

Hello everyone.
Welcome to the Restless Football Daily Brightness.
This is our favourite episode. it is our Q&A.
But before we get going, I've got to just warn you all, cuteness overload incoming. We have a new member.
Rachel, please reveal the cutest little thing.
Welcome to the podcast. Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis, Louis.
Louis, Louis, Louis, can't you see look at him. So everybody in the world
this is my new baby Louis and can you tell us what breed he is please. He's a little
King Charles Cavalier and he's very sleepy as you can see. Oh it's your baby Louis look
at him. So we're going to through the questions that Rachel can get back
to her puppy life because they're very demanding. Anyway you go first. First
question. What you got? First question of the day is from Mark and he said you both
spoke about your love for music on a recent episode. Who are some of your
favorite bands artists or playlists and is music a big part of life at football
clubs? Music is massive, music is everything.
We love music.
I literally have it on 24,
so my neighbours must absolutely hate me
and I do not care because I can't go a day.
I literally wake up and put music on.
But if I'm cleaning, music on.
Like shower, oh, music on.
Yeah, feel sad, music on.
Feel like I need a bit of a rave.
Angry, aggressive music.
I actually think that music is like such a mood
like thing, isn't it?
Like I change the mood based on what I'm listening to.
I don't think I really have a genre of music
that I just love, like I like everything.
I have like a main one, but then I can flick.
I quite like slow songs as well.
Like I love Dermot Kennedy, Alex Warren,
like people like that. But then I love like Afro beats. It depends on mood Dermot Kennedy, Alex Warren, people like that.
But then I love Afro beats.
It depends what music I like,
especially in the change rooms and everything.
But yeah, it is a massive part of football for sure.
So at clubs, normally there's like a designated DJ,
isn't there?
But then that DJ would normally like in the group be like,
girls, what songs do you want?
Well, that's how we've done it at Chelsea.
Like Hannah's the DJ.
I actually used to be,
but the stress of it drives me insane to be quite honest.
It's horrible, isn't it?
Yeah, it's just you can't please everyone.
And there's always-
Hannah used to be a DJ when she was at Villa as well.
But she's very good
because she'll make a playlist and then send us the link.
And then you go on it and then you just add what you want.
But even still, like on the bus,
everyone puts their headphones on
because you've got to listen
to whatever gets you in the mood. Yeah, exactly. But as soon as you're in the changing room it's
the team playlist and if you're not happy with it then put your selection in in it.
100% Simple as that really. Okay up next, Helen would you rather go to space or deep sea?
Oh my god space, I would be so scared going under that water. Imagine. See I'm a bit of a water baby
so I watch that film Meg,
when they're in them submarines
and they're going right down.
That's, I want to do that.
I want to see all them like electric fissures.
But I think space would be sick.
Like what, you don't know what's up there.
Oh, it would be.
It'd be unbelievable.
I mean, I want to do both.
That's a really hard question.
Cause I love like the stars.
Just bought a telescope actually.
Really?
You've got from upstairs in your thing?
Yeah. Cause we've got it from upstairs in your thing? Yeah
because we've got all the wind-gallers and then I bought a book as well to like so that each month
it changes and you should look for certain things so I love the stars, I love the sky. This month
there was a strawberry moon. Yeah did you see it? June 11th I think it was. I do love all that so
I don't know I'm a bit torn. I've got a stargazing app.
I've, yeah.
So good.
You literally, literally get your phone
and then like put it up to the sky,
whatever it shows you like,
or like which horror scopes and stuff are there.
Hey, that's sick.
Hey, did you get that?
Yeah, I'm big and all that.
But I do love the sea.
Cause if I could be Aquawoman, I would.
So I would.
Yeah, not a bit of me.
I'd wanna do the sea as well.
Right, from Kirsty.
Most memorable moment from primary school.
God, I've slept since then.
Oh, did you ever used to do show and tell at primary school?
Yeah, but I don't remember it at all.
See, I used to do show and tell and I always used to take in like my...
So, my show and tell, I took in like all my horse stuff.
So, obviously, I used to do the shows when I was little and compete.
I used to take in my saddle and I'd take in all my rosettes
and my sashes and stuff like that.
And I'd show people like what I were doing.
And each part, like the equipment, the bridle, the saddle.
I used to love it.
I'd just sit, I'd stand there at top so proud.
Like, this is my saddle.
This is Tonto's bridle.
This is when we worn.
This is this.
Yeah, I loved it.
I love show and tell. I used to, yeah, to be fair, I used to like year six levers, like is when we won. This is this. Yeah, I loved it. I love Show and Tell.
I used to, yeah, to be fair,
I used to like year six leavers dance that we did.
I loved that.
And I think, actually,
I think my most memorable moment was probably like
break time and lunch time,
but just with your mates playing football,
like all the time.
Neither of us said anything educational at all.
No, absolutely not.
Not from us.
Not, yeah, Show and Tell was mine.
Okay, up next we've got Petra, I hope I pronounced that correctly, apologies if I haven't.
Do you see yourself as a football manager in the future?
Absolutely not.
I see what goes on on a day to day and what we put managers through and absolutely not cut out for that job whatsoever.
Do you know the main thing? I think being a manager and being a coach, it's one of them jobs where you have to love it,
you have to have that as a passion and if you don't, you're probably not going to succeed.
No, you work like every hour of the day.
Why do I want to sacrifice? I already sacrificed my whole life for football when I retire.
I'm done honey, playing deuces, bye, I'm on the? I already sacrificed my whole life for football. When I retire, I'm done, honey.
Playing deuces, bye, I'm on the beach.
You will not see me anywhere.
I like the idea of like individual coaching
or like striker coaching type of thing,
but not anything to do.
I'm not doing anything.
Not anything to do with football managing.
Absolutely not.
No, thank you.
Because everyone's always like, go do your B license,
go do your badges.
And I'm like, no, because I'm not gonna do it.
I also don't believe that just because you've played
at a high level, you're gonna be the best manager.
I think that's such a-
No, I mean, that's proof of the point,
especially in the men's game.
Yeah, I don't think that's a thing at all.
I think you have to have, you have to be intelligent
and you have to have a certain mindset
and you have to have passion for actual coaching.
We've been under many managers, both of us,
and the best ones are the ones that literally
will give every ounce to that job.
So it's not for me.
Sorry, Petra, love, it's not for me.
Yeah, I don't think Petra will be offended
if you said that you don't wanna be a manager, but.
Yeah, well, just in case, isn't it?
Neither of us don't wanna do that.
Next question is from Amina.
Do you ever get tired of each other?
Like, I don't think there's been a moment
where I've ever been tired of you,
but we did used to spend a lot of time together.
Now we don't, so it's like, when we did, I didn't get,
because I think with us, we can sit in a room
and be quiet and be content with being quiet.
Literally just about to say that.
This is what people like to say.
So for anyone listening,
me and Rach are literally a hundred miles per hour.
We are crazy.
We are very intense.
We are very full on and spontaneous
and kind of all that sort of stuff.
But when we actually spend time together,
like in our rooms, we do just sit there in silence.
That's probably hard to believe.
Yeah, I think because I think we're so driven
by other people's energy as well.
Like if we went in a room full of people
and their energy was low,
like if they were energy zappers,
I think initially we would like be like, oh God,
like our energy would almost feel zapped.
But then in the end we'd just be like,
right, let's lift everyone up.
Like let's make a party in this room.
But I think that like, if you look at like England,
for example, like, let's say it was a bit quiet somewhere,
we would probably be known as the loud ones.
Well, we are known as the loud ones.
But then I think we consume all our energy in those moments
that then we get back to our room, we're like.
I was just gonna say our social batteries,
like people like us, like bubbly characters
where we're relied upon to like bring the energy
and we drive that like we then almost kill ourselves and then we have to like recharge.
Get to the room and you're just like I'm not don't speak to me really but we we did used to sit there
in like silence and like we just know each other but we're very we're very similar so we'd be able
to read the sign. I think those are the best friends in the world when you are comfortable being in each other's silence.
Like you don't need to sit and talk all day long.
That's why we're building the tunnel side by side.
But I think that's also equally why
I think our relationship works so well
because we don't speak every day, we don't speak all day.
And even if we did, I don't, it won't bother me.
Like I feel like we'd never get bored of that,
but we don't need to.
And I think that's like some of my best friends in the world like I've ever had, like I feel like we'd never get bored of that, but we don't need to and I think that's like some
of my best friends in the world, like I've ever had,
like I'm the same.
It should be like that and then when you do speak,
it's nothing changes, it's exactly the same,
it's like we spoke every day.
But no, we don't get tired of each other, we never will,
we're gonna live side by side and have tunnels,
secret tunnels that no one knows about
and that's the way we're gonna live.
So just deal with it.
So sorry.
Okay, next we've got Neve.
Oh, toughy this.
If you had to change your dog's name, what would you change them to and why?
I definitely wouldn't change Dexie's name.
Like she just is a Dexie and I love that.
I don't know any other, I've never met another dog called Dexie's name. Like she just is a Dexie. And I love that I don't know any other,
I've never met another dog called Dexie.
I love that.
Ooh, that's a hard one.
Louie, that's hard to say.
I literally got him yesterday.
I can't really say I'd change his name.
But he really suits that name.
I know, he's a little Louie.
Elsa I could never change.
I don't know another dog called Elsa, same as you.
But she's also a little brat.
Like I think she's a bit like me. I'm, know another dog called Elsa, same as you. But she's also a little brat like,
I think she's a bit like me.
Maybe I'm not a little brat,
but she's sassy and stubborn and wants her own way.
That's me.
Hera, ooh, I don't know.
She's like my little goddess.
I can't change him.
I'm gonna stick by him.
Your dog's names have got a theme, haven't they?
Cause they're all related to like Greek gods and goddesses. The only one I didn't do was Elsa. I was gonna stick by him. Your dog's names have got a theme, haven't they? Because they're all related to like Greek gods and goddesses.
The only one I didn't do was Elsa.
I was gonna call her Athena,
but I didn't because I was like,
I couldn't imagine myself shouting, Athena.
It's so long.
That's what I do.
That's when I was deciding Louis' name.
I was like, it's gotta be something like an E on the end
because I'm like, Dexie.
And I was like, Louis.
Like I just, you say it out loud and like call them
and they're not even there. But yeah, I don't think I would change his name.
Did you know how random is this? It's got nothing to do with anything,
but I looked at his vaccination card today and his birthday is the same birthday as my nephew.
Kirsty's Mom- Shut up.
Kirsty- Yeah! That's crazy, that, isn't it?
Kirsty- That is wild.
Kirsty- But yes, I know, Dexie and Louis, I think that's just...
Kirsty- Yeah, sorry. Kirsty- I love them. My dog Dexie and Louis, I think that's just, that's, I love them.
My dog's names are both, I ain't changing them.
Sorry.
Although I do like, you know what I do like for a dog?
Ralph.
Oh my God, Ralph is on mine.
Like, I said Ralph here.
Really?
Yeah, the words.
I do like that name.
I'll throw that out there, Ralph.
I like Alfie.
I like Dexter as a, I did like Frank,
obviously in my Doberman that I had,
I did like Frank as a name. did like Frank, obviously in my Doberman that I had, I did like Frank as a name.
I like like little cutie names. Anyway.
We can't change, sorry, sorry.
Next question is from Rachel. Back to what? Rachel.
Thanks to you.
I can't even say that name when it's my name without doing that.
Where is your favourite place to shop for clothes?
Now, it's quite a broad question that is,
because it depends what you need.
But I would say.
All right, let's do top three.
I would say the number one would be Zara.
Oh, hands down.
Zara, ASOS, and,
oh shit, what's the other one that I...
I would just say Zara.
Like I don't, I actually don't often go anywhere else.
Like I'm very much like easy,
like H&M Zara, like high street shopper.
Yeah, same, not none of this Selfridges and...
My favorite t-shirts, right, listen to this,
before I went on holiday,
I bought this t-shirt from Primark, it was a fiver.
Yeah.
And honestly, like I've never had a t-shirt fit me so perfect.
It's like the style, Really? It's exactly how I like it. And I don't really, like, you know me, I've never had a t-shirt fit me so perfect. It's like the style is exactly how I like it.
And I don't really like, you know me, I don't really wear t-shirts.
I just put a hoodie on like I never wear...
You're fussy as well with clothes, proper fussy.
I know. So I was like...
Remember that day we went shopping and you were like, oh, it looks lovely.
You were like, no, horrible.
I like literally looked perfect. It fits you perfect.
Oh, we love a TK Maxx as well.
We love a TK Maxx.
Oh yeah, we do love a TK Maxx. Oh yeah, we do love a TK Maxx.
Oh yeah, it was there.
That's the shop.
That's the shop you were in.
You were like, horrible, no.
You don't have to do that.
It was in Australia.
It was in Australia.
But yeah, these t-shirts, Fiverr, get amongst it.
So I bought it in obviously every single colour.
So I've got a black one, a white one, a beige one,
a blue one, honestly, and I bought them twice.
Hey, listen, anyone listening, we like what we like.
We don't like to venture off into new things.
We like what we like, we like consistency.
But I am upset, because I went back the other day
and they don't have any.
Well, you'll have to just wait then, won't you?
I guess you've got about freaking 20 shirts,
so I'm sure they'll be lasting you a while.
But yeah, just a little high street shopper, mate.
Perfect, it's what you need, nice and easy,
nothing too complicated, keep it simple.
Exactly.
On that note, with Rachel's OCD and clothes,
we are gonna take a little break
and we will be back very soon
to answer some more of your questions.
Taking a break, having a Kit Kat.
Taking a break!
No likey, no likey.
Dickhead.

We are going on to the second part of the episode and this is the first question from
Katie.
Would you rather have spaghetti arms or spaghetti legs? and this is the first question from Katie.
Would you rather have spaghetti arms or spaghetti legs?
I'm gonna have to say arms because how you walking?
Yeah, you're not, are you?
Yeah, but then I think with spaghetti arms,
it's like them things that the car dealership,
you know that?
Yeah, going everywhere.
Imagine me trying to do my bun,
trying to do my bun with them arms.
Just wave at you from a distance and I'm just like, eh.
Yeah, I think I'd have to go arms though, spaghetti arms.
Same.
I've got a bit spaghetti arms to be fair.
No, you haven't.
I have.
Katherine's up next.
What's your biggest fear?
That's a tough one because I would say like in general life,
like what I'm the most scared of
is losing the people I love.
Yep.
And like anything happening to my mom, my brother, my nephew,
anyone in my family, like my friends,
like anything happening to them is my biggest fear.
But if I want to say something that I am,
I know where this is going,
is things that aren't in proportion.
So for example, you know them lorries on the motorway
where they've not got the back on?
They've not got the actual part of the lorry,
it's just like the cab and then the little bit.
Like that scares me, like I'll drive on the motorway,
I'm like, I can't look at it.
I go, oh God, oh God.
It doesn't make sense, like it just freaks me out
that things aren't in proportion.
Anything else?
Snakes.
Oh, okay, my biggest one.
Oh, do you mean anything else in that category?
Yeah, I just wondered if there was anything else
in that category.
The people closest to me know this. Maybe this will be revealed at another later stage.
All right, we'll keep it in the bag. You've got a surprise coming. Okay, mine would be the same.
I think I fear, probably don't fear like dying myself, but others, like people that I love. But
like you said, I think for me as well is my biggest fear is not doing enough in life.
Like just not living life.
And I do think we go through those phases.
I think I've been through it recently where I sit back
and I'm like, holy shit, I'm not living.
Like I'm not living like what I've done
over the past two years, apart from football,
which yes, you have to dedicate your life to,
but you also don't get years back.
So I'm like, I've lived in London for 10 years
and I've not even seen half of it.
I've not even seen a quarter of it.
Like you get into like a routine of-
Make memories, not money.
Yeah, you like get into a routine of, oh, I'm tired.
Like you come home and you do nothing.
And then I'm like, what am I doing?
Like 32 this year, I want to live life.
So yeah, I guess I have a fear of not doing enough in life
and then getting old and looking back and thinking,
shit, I just did football and that was it.
And whilst there have been some of my best memories,
football is only a part of your life.
It's not your whole life.
You retire when you are 34, 35, most people.
That was deep, but I like that.
Yeah, I know, but gotta live life, honey.
I always think that actually, like it's like.
Like not doing enough, like you don't get time back
so you have to, you need to like...
That's exactly it, like you need to start to like value time
and make them raise more than...
Yeah, like go see that person, like go on that date,
like go...
Still waiting for you to come and see me.
I'm coming honey.
Oh, I've got a little surprise for you actually.
What is it?
Well, it's a surprise, duh.
What is it?
What is it?
Also, you're a bit scary actually to me
because you're not in proportion
because your feet are so small.
Yeah, I do actually have tiny feet, don't I?
Do you know what I'm here for?
So I'm a five and a half.
Yeah, but like it just doesn't-
I'm six in trainers.
It doesn't look right with you because you're tall.
So I'm a bit scared of you actually.
You never scared of me.
Right, next question.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I don't know what you call it,
but like transport places like really quickly.
Teleport.
Is it teleport?
But I don't want to go like back in time.
I just want to be like Ibiza.
Yeah, that's what I do.
Thailand, like I want to go like now.
100%.
Like go, yeah, or might want to go back to my mum and dad's.
I don't like, you know, people say like Yeah, or might wanna go back to my mum and dad's.
I don't like, you know, people say like,
would you want to be like invisible or like, no way.
I feel like that half the time anyway.
Hello, I'm doing this, I'm here.
I'm not sure that is my superpower, it's just there.
But yeah, I think teleport.
Oh, best you don't say that.
Teleport for sure, like just click your fingers
and be anywhere.
Yeah, I just wanna get places.
I hate traveling, I hate fr click your fingers and be anywhere. Yeah, I just want to get places. I hate traveling.
I hate fricking long flights and-
Same.
Like I really want to go to like the Asian countries, right?
But I just can't be asked with the flights anymore.
Well, Rachel, you know what I spoke about,
living life, live life.
Live your life.
Love, live, laugh, love.
Oh my God, don't let me say that again.
Live, laugh, love. I hate that.
Right, so we both teleport, brilliant.
So our final question of the episode is from Rosie, what is your most used emoji or emojis?
My most used emoji is just the crying laughing face.
Sideways though.
They're both there.
I like to mix it up.
But then my next one is a sticker of Dexie.
Why have I got a baby chick on mine?
I've got that baby chick and I don't even use that.
And yeah, I've got a sticker of Dexie,
but that's really actually annoying
because one time I tried to start a group chat
with our team and the opening chat, opening thing of the chat was a sticker of Dexie and I was like
oh god you know you accidentally click it it just sends probably need to remove that
do you know some of the emojis like if you put the man skiing he like zooms in and he's
skiing down the thing that's on mine and I don't use that really mine's the little woman
like this you know that emoji where
the head's blowing up. Oh yeah. Head loss, that's me. Yeah yeah yeah.
That's that suits us to be fair but yeah they're mine and yeah yellow heart, woman like that,
hands on her head. I don't really understand mine because I don't think I've really used any of
these but I think that maybe I just click them by accident.
Anyway, yeah, it's always the crying, laughing face.
It's like my actual response to it's like default response to everything
because I'm so funny.
So bloody funny.
Right, guys, that is it for today's episode on our Q&A.
Thank you for all your questions.
Please keep sending them in and we will see you next week.
Bye from me. See you later.
