Hello everyone. Welcome to Daily Brightness before we get into our little checkings.
I hope you all enjoyed having Rach back on the pod as much as I did.
Bestie, are you glad to be back?
I'm glad to be back.
I think when I watched it back last week, I'm really tired.
And I was like, I need to fix up for next week.
I think it was obviously going back into training and, yeah, getting my life back on track again.
So yeah, I'm ready, back ready again this week.
Happy to be back.
Happy to be talking with you and giving the listeners.
A little bit more inside of us.
We love doing it, don't we?
Mills, what have you been up to?
I saw you at the Fury fight.
How was it?
Unreal.
I think that's been one of the best nights ever.
Do you know what it is?
When you play sport,
you don't get to experience anything as a fan,
so you don't get to understand,
like, people always say, oh, the atmosphere,
and as a player versus, as, as an athlete versus a fan,
it's completely different.
I mean, I love boxing anyway.
I love Tyson.
I think he's, well, he is the Gypsy King,
is unbelievable, but I think he's not only a fantastic boxer, but a great entertainer.
And honestly, for me, the walkouts are just, I'm just there like this, all that is.
Oh, my God, this is sick.
Like, the whole stadium was just, like, bouncing and, like, cheering and everyone was in sync
with the songs.
But, yeah, some incredible fights, to be honest, Conner Ben's fight was class,
Tyson's fight was class.
And, yeah, I'm really wanting to see AJ Tyson, so get on the dotted line, get it signed.
Let's have it.
It's funny because I don't really like boxing.
Like, I don't really like fighting.
I think it's just what you're doing,
why you're punching the shit out of each other.
I can appreciate it as a sport,
but I just, I can't really get into it.
Everyone's like, you're watching the fight?
I'm like, no, I'm going to bed.
But that being said, I absolutely love Tyson Fury
and I just started his second season,
I think the second season of his documentary on Netflix,
and I absolutely like that family life is.
mad. Like, it's so funny. So I do really like
Tyson, I like all the theories to be fair, I like Tommy as well, but I think
yeah, fighting's just not, I just don't, every time someone gets hit
I'm like, ah, don't eat in. Bestie, I love it. I love UFC as well. I love UFC.
The only thing I've never really got into is bare knuckle. I've never really
got into that, but I love it. It's so sick. And I also think most of boxing,
they all just hug each other and that. And I'm like, who, how do you know, wins?
They just all have a rest and like, could look to each other.
I'm like, what's happening?
Oh, bestie, that's cute.
Stop cuddling.
That is essentially what they're doing.
Either time wasting or getting a breather.
But anyway, more on to you.
With the golf bin on the Masters, did you watch?
No, I find watching golf really hard.
I think I don't matter.
Like, I like it when they're on the green
and you can watch it get to the green and like,
that's exciting.
But all the bits in between, I find it harder.
But I love, obviously,
of playing golf. I think when the Masters is on, you're more, like, inclined to go and play
golf. Like, everyone loves to get out and play golf. It's always the way in it. World Cup's on.
Everyone's out playing football. But, yeah, another big win for Rory again. He's a joke that I
actually really, really like him. I think he's such a good golfer. But no, I didn't really
watch it. I can't lie, did you? I think I fell asleep. We had it on, but I've definitely
passed out. I don't think it's something that keeps me awake, to be honest. So, yeah, like you said,
probably prefer playing it to watching it.
Yeah, moving on to the sport we actually know a lot more about football.
Obviously, on our last episode, we touched on the call-ups
and obviously previewing the World Cup qualifiers coming up.
What are your thoughts?
What are your feelings?
I mean, it's a tough one, isn't it?
Because I think any time you're in a group with Spain
and you have to top the group to go through automatically,
you're always in a bit of a tough spot.
But honestly, like I know England, Germany over the years
has been one of those games.
like historical England, Germany.
But I think in the women's game, we've kind of created that with Spain.
Yeah.
I don't know what you think, but I feel like we've created that, like, rivalry with Spain
where it's just like, obviously the World Cup final and, you know, the Euros and stuff.
I just feel like it's that kind of like a bit of a rivalry, I guess.
I don't really know any other word.
But it's a tough, tough game, really tough game for them to play on Tuesday.
But I think England have, I think they'll edge it.
But I think the group's quite tough considering you have to, like, finish top to,
qualify. Yeah, I definitely agree. I think that has become the new, the new rivalry. I think that
is the word, you know, because every time that fixture comes out, everyone's discussing it. It's all
eyes on us. But yeah, I think just for the viewers as well, obviously, we are recording this
episode on Monday at the night before the Spain game. We know it will be played, so we'll
discuss it properly on the next step, and we'll do a full debrief on that. But yeah, yeah,
just previewing and giving our thoughts just to give you a heads up on that. I think it's
going to be exciting. I think if you look at individuals as well, I think there's a lot of players
that are in probably the best form that they've been in. Let's take Alessia, for example,
I personally think she's the best number nine in the world right now. I think there's many
players on both teams that are in their peak performance. So I think we're going to probably
get the best version of this fixture. I agree with Alessia, I think, well, I don't agree with
the lessee. I agree with you about Alessia. I absolutely agree. I think she's the best number nine
in the world. I think she has been for quite a while. Yeah.
And she's one of those players that you always knew she was going to get to that point.
But it's, you know, she's kind of, I think for me she's kind of solidified that now.
I'm excited to see Jess Park, you know, because I think she's had a really good season for United.
And I want to see her play more consistently for England.
I want to, like, grow into the England shirt.
And, yeah, I'm excited to see her play.
But yeah, I am excited for the Spain game.
Obviously, those of you that don't know, it's the game against Iceland.
Well, Mark the Lioness is 500th international match, which that's crazy when you think about that, isn't it?
It's mental.
That is absolutely...
I think whether you're a part of that group at the minute
or you've been a lioness, once you're a lioness,
you're always a lioness.
That is like a spectacular achievement, a moment.
And, yeah, I think a lot needs to be spoken about it
because it is incredible.
Like, 500, that is ridiculous.
Like, it's crazy.
Looking back on your career at England,
like, apart from the Eurofinals,
what was your favourite game to play in?
Ooh.
Do you know which game stands out?
I don't know why it's just come straight to my head
I wonder if you're going to have the same and say the same as me
there's two that comes to mind
there's one where you scored
and I scored and we celebrated for your dad
and that was like the start of me scoring for England
I can't remember what was the game
what was the opponent?
I can't remember oh my God my memory's terrible
I honestly cannot remember
I tell you where it was
wherever it was it was when we went and had them
Churros with Zelle
they were banging
and all like chocolate sauce red and all
and shoes
shout out to Katie Zellam
she's the only one that wanted to go and get churros with her
she was like girls can we go and get some
I need some at sweet and sugary
we were like yeah we're down 100% let's go
what would yours be
that was obviously one that was in the back of my mind
because it was special in terms of
like personal reasons
but I think
do you want to know what game I've really really enjoyed
Nigeria in World Cup
the last World Cup
Oh, my God.
How hard was that game?
I've never, honestly, I've never been more tired
after a game of football in my life.
I were thinking, holy shit, we're at the start of the tournament.
Oh, fuck.
Honestly, and obviously, that was the game that LJ got sent off, weren't it?
So I think it's historical for me because I'm like,
we had to fight tooth and nail to win that game.
Obviously, it went 120 minutes.
They are so physical, like,
as a defender as well
we were sprinting keeping up with them
they were so fast so strong
it was just exhausted
I just remember finishing that game
after the penalties and I just laid out
I was like I am absolutely
it was crazy
right now and then we had to play Australia
on their home soil
I know that was incredible though
I know we didn't get the outcome but I think
for looking back on the tournament
like some of the best moments
like I think personally
and together I think honestly some of the best
that where we've dug deep, we've got through it, and it's like...
I feel like we're just epitomized England in that game.
Yeah, 100%.
And also, like, yeah, just showing character, like, being down to 10 men, you know,
like, it was hot as well, weren't it?
Like, I don't know, I just feel like going to penalties extra time.
I just, I don't know, there was something about that.
I just thought, like, that was a really, really hard match.
And I always go back to that, that's the hardest game of ever playing in life.
100%
I think it was one of those games
as well where normally in games
like we were like
yeah like obviously
you'd say like
certain players could get a beating on someone
because they're fast
or the stronger than them or whatever
but that was a team where
they were fast in every single position
they were strong in every single position
and we were looking at each of like
all right we need to figure out
a different way to score
we can't just isolate a fullback
I remember because I was obviously playing
I was playing left wing back
and then obviously because we was down to 10 men
I think when extra time, I was on the wing,
and I was like, you're moving me up to the wing now.
I'm like, I'm my carth, he's going to go in a minute.
And then I had to take it from there.
I remember thinking, walking up to this penalty,
I was like, do not cramp, do not cramp, do not cramp.
Because honestly, about 10 minutes before, I was like,
I can't make that run.
I'm just done.
Yeah, 100%.
And we don't get that exposure.
We don't, we don't get to play against, you know,
those opponents on a regular basis.
So when you play him, it hits you in face a little bit.
And you're like, oh, we're not used to this.
Like, we're not, we can normally get the better of teams,
or better of positions,
but yeah,
they were honestly
the hardest game
I've ever played in in my life.
Yeah, same.
And I think that's for me
why I thought
that stands out for me
as one of my favourite games
because it was just like,
usually when games are like
that hard,
they don't always go your way,
but I was like,
we slogged for that win.
So good,
but yeah,
really excited for the Spain game.
We will be seeing what happens.
Have you been paying attention
to the WSL2
because it is heating up?
I feel like if you blink,
it changes direction
of who's going to go where
because like
Charlton were on top
next thing I know
blues were on top
I was like
who's where
but it is exciting
I think obviously
with the top two
already going up
and then the third team
get a chance to go up
to the WSL1
it's like that is
it's exciting
but I also think
it's one of those
like when you think about it
from a WSL one side
like
it's a tough place to go
like you're going away
you've got to play
away to play against that team
your defeated mindset because you're like,
oh, we're bottom of this league,
like we could get relegated.
Then you flip it,
and then the championship team is going,
hang on a minute,
we've got a massive chance to get up here.
We're at home, fired up,
we've done well to get a third.
So I'm intrigued.
I'm very intrigued,
but I do think the league is really tight.
Yeah, it's super exciting.
Everyone that I spoke to,
I actually saw something.
I think I saw a TikTok
and it was someone saying,
like, I hope everyone's paying
just as much attention to the WSL2
as the RWSL two as the RWS.
I won because, and I was looking through all the stats of it and like how people had interchanged,
how the title race was.
And I was like, oh my God, like it is.
And you always keep one eye on the league anyway.
I think it's interesting.
I always want to know like what Newcastle are doing.
They're a new team.
They obviously were wanting promotion.
I think it's good to know like teams that are coming up.
But everyone's in the mix.
Crystal Palace, Newcastle back in the mix.
Birmingham in there.
Like it's exciting.
I think it's really, really good for the game.
And I also think that league's developed so much.
which is super important.
Yeah, and I think you can tell the standard of that league
because a lot of players that were in the WSL1
are more open to go to WSL2 now,
and it's definitely exciting.
My tape would be,
I think Birmingham and Charlton will get automatic promotion.
I'd like to see Newcast alleged,
but I feel like Palace alleged,
just on how it's going at the minute,
but do you think it's fair, like a one-off game to get up?
It's unusual because it's hard to say yes or no,
because we've never known anything different,
so it's like,
How would you do that then?
Yeah.
Because obviously the reason behind it is they're wanting to grow the, the, they're wanting to grow our league, WSL1, they wanted to expand.
So my question then would be is how would you do that?
How would you incorporate an extra team coming into it?
How would you do that if it weren't a one-off game?
Like, well, I would say, maybe, yeah, but like one game.
Do you think, I feel like it should be at least playing a neutral venue.
Neutral venue.
I completely agree with neutral venue
and then I'd possibly say two legs, yeah.
Because I just feel like I just said then
like the team in the WSL
like they're obviously
they're like oh we're at the bottom of the league
like oh you know obviously you've got to switch your mindset
but naturally your mentality is a bit like lower
whereas a championship team coming up
like they're fired up
I just think to make it more fair
it should either be two legs
or one leg at a neutral venue
I just don't I don't see it's fair
that someone gets a home game
yeah I don't think there should be a home game
absolutely not. It has to be a neutral.
It's like having a final.
Imagine the FA Cup weren't played at Wembley,
it was played at one of the homegrounds.
It's not fair.
Well, that's what I'm saying. It wouldn't happen, would it?
I just, yeah, I'm all for giving that game.
I'm not sure if two legs is, I don't know.
I don't know what I would do, but I know that for sure,
I just, I don't think it's fair that it's at somebody's home ground.
I really don't.
I don't either.
But right, we're going to take a quick break.
We'll be back very soon.
Hello and welcome back to the second part of Daily Brightness.
We like to talk about our Inspector gadgets and gratitude and block and delete
and I think we can go into a little bit more detail this week.
So we're going to start with Inspector Gadget.
Last week you didn't really have one Bestie, so please tell me you've come up with something good this time around.
Bestie, I do have a gadget actually, thank you very much.
It just arrived yesterday, I've got it.
But just before that, all I had in my head then was you were like,
we can go into something.
I was going to like, we like to drink with Rachel, because Rachel is.
I'm making.
Anyway, sorry.
Rachel.
She does her drinking 8.
7. 6. 5.
Freaking heck bestie.
What's that?
Gallowed of water.
You asked me that last week.
It's the same thing.
Sorry, just makes me laugh.
Bigger than your bloody head, love.
Hydrate kids.
My gadget this week,
have you seen these?
Do you know what it is?
Nope.
This, it sticks on the back of your phone.
I can't stick it on the back of my phone because I've not said it up properly.
And you can basically slap your phone on any, like, on a wall, on a mirror, on a window.
I see one of the young girls of my team had one of them.
At first I like, I'm never going to use that. Look at it.
I tell you what, Kirsty Anson had one, right?
And she was in the gym.
And I was like, right, give me that.
So I got her phone.
I got her phone and I just stuck it on top of something.
So she could, like, it was like on top of a locker so she couldn't see it.
And she was like, where's my phone?
Looking around for ages for a photo,
I could see her looking for it.
I was thinking, I'm going to have to tell her anyway,
she's going to get feeling.
And I was just like, why don't fall down?
You know, and you stick them on, and you think, oh, we're calling on.
Not like me to be a prankster best.
Not like you, Rachel Daly.
But, yeah, I'm, you know, hopefully might be doing some more content soon.
Can't tell you too much, you might see, you might not.
But yeah, got my little gadgets.
Why have you not got me one?
Might be in delivery already
Amazon might be delivering it
Well you better get on Amazon after this
because I know you aren't doing it
You're a liar
You're liar
Thanks a lot Rachel
My gadget this week
And it's so stupid
It's not really a gadget
But you know when it's like
You think
Oh like an electronic device
Or something like that
You're going to think I'm such an absolute loser
Basically in my laundry room
I've got someone to come in
and put plugs, plug sockets above the counter
because the plug sockets were below for the dryer
and they can't get to it because the dryer locks it.
So the plug sockets are above it
and now I've got a little mini ironing board
and so when it comes out of the dryer
I can just get it straight on ironing board
because we've got plugs there
so I know it's not really a gadget
but the electronic system is just chef's kiss.
That is a gadget.
It makes my life so much easier.
Oh God, I love it.
I can't even tell you.
That is actually a really good gadget.
How nice is that when you get a t-shirt or something out of the dryer
and then you just quickly get an iron, so you don't have to go,
let me get any ironing board out?
Right, well, I need a picture because I need to know how big the iron is
and ironing board. Is it like really cute?
No, my iron is my iron, but the ironing board is like...
Aw.
And it sits on the counter.
That's dead cute.
I like that, Besty.
I know.
It's perfect.
Right, I'll send all my ironing up to you then, love.
Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect.
Oh, here she goes again, goes.
Do you like ironin?
Yeah, it's therapeutic.
Same.
So many people hate it.
I mean, don't get me wrong.
If you've got...
I would understand if you've got like four kids
and your ironings are piled up like here.
But I find it really therapeutic.
The only thing that does my head in is bedding.
Do you iron bedding though?
Heading is bedding.
Heading is bedding.
I'm not ironing bedding.
Oh my God, yeah, do you not?
Oh, that annoys me.
That's a red flag.
That is an absolute red flag to me.
Why is it a red flag?
Because when you walk into your bedroom, yeah, at night,
do you not think, oh, my nice,
my nice fresh bedding on there, all freshly ironed crisp?
Yeah.
No, you don't, because if you don't iron it,
it's not fresh and crisp, is it?
Yeah, but if you put it in the washer,
put it in the dry machine, take it out,
and then make sure it's hung over something
where it can dry straight.
It's straight.
I turn a blind eye to it, I'm sorry.
I can't, I can't.
I don't have the patience
dealing with those crumped up corners.
I can't deal with it.
and they're flinging off at ironing board.
Do you know what I've been doing actually what I did last time?
Yeah, see, life hack.
What I did last time.
Put it on, got it out of the dryer,
put the bed in on the bed sheet,
like in the, put the do-be in, put the bed sheet on, right?
Put dovee in.
And I ironed it while it, I ironed it on the bed.
Like, they were the bed in.
I don't think that's not safe.
That's not safe.
No, it's quick, whiz over.
Perfect.
Trust me.
picture if you want.
I like that hotel standard.
Well, I'm not ironing my damn bedding.
My clothes will never be creased, but my bed in, whatever.
I'm shocked.
I'm actually shocked.
I'm actually really disappointed in you.
Don't, because you're going to make me want an iron bed in.
Just saying.
All right, I'll start ironing my bed in and I'll take a picture to prove it.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Good gadgets, by the way.
Right, onto Millie's favourite, favourite segment of the podcast.
This is my favourite.
Come on, hit me with what you've got this week.
Right, let me just get in my notes from my block and delete
because there's a lot of things that piss me off.
This is what I want to address.
Fake accounts, fucking annoying.
Stop making them.
Block and delete.
Oh my God, the amount of times I have to send them over
and be like, 10 more fake accounts pretending.
Do you know what, how dumb they are?
The one the other day, right?
Made a fake account pretending to be me.
We're commenting on my TikTok
to the people commenting on my thing.
And I was like, I literally replied
and I was like, I can see you, you know?
I'm literally commenting back to my fans.
Like, I can see you.
Picaboo!
I see you!
So I'll just like, block and delete.
It honestly pisses me off so bad.
Like, it's so annoying.
But there's a literal block and delete, in it?
You're literally blocking and deleting them.
I quite literally, I'm blocking and deleting it every single day.
But I'm just like, just get a fucking life.
Like, it's honestly, can you see how angry I'm getting?
It just annoys me so much.
It's just a waste of time of my day.
Stop with the fake counts.
On that, on that, right.
Do you know what else I can't stand to do with?
for on social media topic
is people who just write messages to you
on Instagram
that are just vile
like not abusive
I got one the other day
and it was about someone
like getting naked with me
and I thought
why would I want to wake up to that
why?
And how is it even got in my inbox
because all my stuff's filtered
I swear some people can get in my inbox
like I don't get all them request stuff
so I don't know
I can get certain things
I don't know
yeah
I'm not getting naked
Sorry, darling, but also another point on social media,
now you've really got me rant in here.
It's when people, if you're going to comment something,
why go out of your way to, one, watch my content if you don't like it,
and two, comment something just quite literally pointless anyway and irrelevant
because I don't really give a shit what your opinion is.
But why are you wasting your time?
And nine times out of ten, you don't have a real name,
you don't even have a real profile picture,
or it's like hiding your face.
I'm like, say it with chest.
If you're going to say it, say it with your damn chest.
Go on.
I just couldn't dream of like, I would never have dreamed of, like, messaging somebody that I didn't know.
I don't, I don't get it.
Or, I don't get it.
Or comment in.
Why would you, why would, why, I don't get it?
We don't like it.
Why would you comment abuse to someone like?
One, you don't know.
Two, if I did know him, still want to comment abuse.
Why do it?
Why waste your time?
And make yourself look an idiot and a tit.
And I've now just blocked you and deleted you.
So you don't get to find it.
follow me anymore.
I'll make a new fake one then.
I'll make, and guess what?
I'll block it again.
I'll, love.
Anyway, I feel like there should be some form of, like,
vetting process for Instagram.
Like, you should be vetting, like, you should have, like,
a background check.
I'm calling out social media platforms.
Why are you not having to put your identity in?
Why are you not having to show ID?
Why?
Show your passport or show your driving license.
I'm calling them out.
Twitter or X, I've deleted X.
And how nice would it be if kids didn't have it?
Like, if you had to be 18 or
over to have Instagram or Twitter.
Or maybe society might actually be in...
Society would be in a hell of a lot of a better place.
And I tell you why, two things.
One, because they wouldn't have to look at things
and think they need to be a type of way
because social media is very, very unhealthy for people.
And two, kids should be out living and playing
and doing like...
I always say to my nephews, you're obsessed with your phones.
Get off them. Get off them.
It's really annoying.
Really annoying.
I think I'm going to read the people who have sent it in from
our guests and then I'll go into mine at the end.
Right, go for it. So we've got two this week and I could not agree more with both of them.
I've just read the first one.
Butter that's been in the fridge and it's too cold to spread on toast without ripping the bread to shed.
Honestly, you see that there? That's why I've got a butter tray thing.
I can't bear it.
I do agree, but butter has to live in the fridge.
So you just need to be a bit more organised.
whoever's out there in the world
and take it out a little bit earlier
that's nonsense
no it doesn't
who says
yes it does
I say
why
yeah so it lives in the fridge
in your house
more
more for you when you can't
spend butter on your toast then
I can
I just take my butter out earlier
and I let it sit for a little while
it happens at training
when I've got to put my butter
on top of toast
to make it melt
before I get sick
I get like
that's funny
next one
people who stand right behind
you at the airport
carousel like it
or make their suitcase
come faster.
Oh my God.
Yes.
Get that in the bin.
This is one of my
biggest, like one of my biggest pet peeves.
People standing close to you in queues or anything like that.
You know what one of my was going to be?
You know last week when we were talking about
like what people do, like on holidays and stuff like that,
when people run to the front of the queue on the airline, right?
You've all got a seat.
Why are you running?
That and when you get off,
when you, it's literally the minute the seatbelt sometimes.
goes on, you jump up and run out.
It's like, oh.
It winds me off the clock.
Airport etiquette.
Airplane etiquette is just gone.
Terrible.
It's gone.
It's gone.
I'm getting fuming about this.
I'm fuming.
I'm fuming.
I knew you were going to do that.
Honestly, I can't.
Airport are like my least,
least favorite place to go because honestly
people turn into animals.
Mine's just public transport. I hate it.
I get too overwhelmed in those situations.
Like also, yeah.
You know when you're on a plane?
You know when you're on a plane?
This is winding me up.
Like, when people just like
fling the hair over the top of the seat in front of you.
You're like, what are you doing?
Keep your hair on your side.
But then, but then if you pull on it...
Don't take your shoes and socks off on a...
Oh, that's a dick.
Don't sit and take shoes and socks off next to me.
That's dirty.
Put your socks on.
I can take you, taking your shoes off.
I'll let you that much.
Keep your socks on.
Yeah, don't take your socks off off.
That's disgusting.
Flo's dirty.
I could go on about travel in terms of an airport.
Yeah.
All day.
Wines me off the clock.
Right, my block and delete for this week is hospital car parking prices.
Blood to yell.
For me, yeah, you're already being punished
because you have to go to the hospital to either visit somebody who's poorly,
to either have an appointment.
You know, hospitals aren't.
aren't a nice place to go and visit at any time, right?
But the prices to park are outrageous.
Like, imagine if you're visiting somebody,
that one of your loved ones all day, every day.
Like, if you've got to go there for a week, two weeks,
however long it may be, it is absolutely scandalous.
I don't like it at all.
Really, really, really bothers me.
Be a little bit more considerate to the people.
Like, yeah, I'm not saying it should be free, but come on.
And also, if you look at the numbers that go through the hospital,
You've got enough people parking to make money.
Absolutely.
It really, really, really frustrates me
because I just think like,
you're already suffering going to visit somebody at a hospital.
Yeah.
You're already got something going on there.
You don't need to be going,
oh, well, I don't know how am I going to get to the...
How am I going to get there?
Because I can't afford the parking.
Like, no, you shouldn't add that stress onto people.
Sorry, I really don't like it.
Or, like, I've got to rush off now, like, car,
I need to go and sort of parking out.
Like, it's...
That will play a part in people's minds.
But anyway, let's lift the mood.
We're going on to gratitude.
What are you grateful for today?
My favourite.
Come on, baby.
I am grateful for being back playing football.
I think I've said it in the last week's episode,
but I felt like in the last few weeks because of my personal situation
that I've kind of lost my identity a little bit.
I've never known really a life without playing football.
So being back to playing and being back with the team,
I'm training with the team this week.
So that's exciting.
and I'm just grateful that I've been given that opportunity again
because, you know, when things happen or, you know,
like you're injured or your health is at risk or whatever,
you always go down that pathway like, will I ever play again?
And what's it going on like, whatever?
So I'm grateful that I am backing with the team this week.
And yeah, that's what I'm grateful.
Small clicks for Rachel.
Best it, I just want to say I am really proud of you
because I obviously I know how hard things have been
and to be able to get back to the place that you're at now,
smiling and I've seen your little spark back on this episode
and seeing your little spark back in life,
I am proud of you because it is hard, it's tough
and no one really knows
and I think having seen you go through what you've gone through,
I am proud that you've got your buzz back
and yeah, you deserve to be back on that pitch
but you also deserve to be happy and smiling.
And I love seeing you smile.
It's the only emotion I ever want to see you do
unless you cry and happy tears for one of us.
Aw, I love you.
But yeah, I love you too, best it.
And my gratitude is super simple.
I'm actually, life's good, you know,
apart from the frustration of my injury,
life is really, really good.
I'm actually really happy.
I like to see us both happy again.
It makes me happy seeing you happy.
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing with you is like,
you've just got your little buzz back, haven't you?
Yeah, but I'm honestly...
You've been for a bit of a shitter.
And, you know, I always said to you, ride the wave.
Ride the wave.
It'll come good in the end.
Oh, I've been surfing, baby.
I've been surfing for a long time.
but I've made it to the end
and yeah I'm just
I'm grateful for seeing people around me happy
I'm grateful for seeing you happy
and grateful that I'm happy
my family's good
I'm just grateful for life I think this week
and getting the light at the end of the tunnel
is shining bright again
shine bright like a diamond
that's really cute I'm really happy for you
I really am happy because like I said to you
ride that wave baby and you did
and yeah it wasn't easy
but tough times don't last
tough people do
get that tattooed.
Right, guys, that is the end of the episode.
