Starting point is 00:00:30 Lisa, tell them about our new show. We have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Youanu. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa Di Giulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions. And at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, good taste is my business.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Listen on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Lacey Mosley, author, actor, stand-up comedian, creator, and host of Scam Goddess Podcasts. The True Crime Comedy Podcasts all about robbery, fraud, and those who practice it. Each week I bring on an amazing guest. Ooh, I scammed them. What? I can talk to you for an hour. You're a generational yapper like me.
Starting point is 00:01:18 That's why I had to make yapping a job. And now you can catch full episodes of my show on YouTube. Start listening to Scam Goddess on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the right time presented by prize picks. My name is Beaumani Jones. Thanks for listening wherever you get your podcast. Thanks for watching us on YouTube. Subscribe, like, rate us, review us, give us five stars.
Starting point is 00:01:48 You'll give us four stars. I'm inclined to believe you are a hater. Still try to come up with a name for these Sunday shows that is better than you should be grateful. I don't think that one works. I would never use a name like that. Just throwing it out. You should be grateful with Bonnie Jones. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know.
Starting point is 00:02:12 But we didn't do that. We had a big college football Sunday. Got a couple games. Talk about with you. We'll start, even though I personally, and I'm off that Texas narcotic. Don't let Vince Young in the background fool you. That's from a different time, okay?
Starting point is 00:02:28 For right now, I don't really do that, but I think my mama still thinks I do that because she, the OU grad, called me immediately after that game ended, hey, did you watch the game? That's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And far being for me to accuse my mother would be a passive aggressive. But I think there was still a little needle involved there.
Starting point is 00:02:54 A little needle involved there. Look, there's analysis of this game that could be done, maybe even better done by somebody else. But I feel like, and I've been saying this. And I know that people, you know, I actually have somebody get upset would be about this, but I think real ones understand exactly what I'm talking about. And I'm giving this advice to Steve Sarkesian. He needs to understand this.
Starting point is 00:03:16 I don't know somebody else can get him to understand it. But the bottom line is being Mack Brown minus the sunny disposition, doing it all wrong. Just just letting you know right now. If you're going to do, if you're going to be that way, you got to be all the way, Mac, right? You got to make people feel a little bit better about this. You. No, no, no, no, nah, nah, nah, but I also feel like this.
Starting point is 00:03:40 This is not a game Mac would have lost, right? Like there are, Mac losing to Oklahoma, yeah, that's on the board. Mac losing to an Oklahoma team that really doesn't have any business in the same building with you. That's not a game that Mac's going to lose, okay? Sarkeesian has a very, very, very interesting red rival rivalry. boy, that's a twister. They got kicking back old school just so I don't sound like I can't talk. Red River shootout.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Bang, bang, bitch. Like, it's amazing. They ain't doing nothing about all them guns. Yeah. But I can't, like the real guns. Yes. I can't talk about it here. Anyway, he's three and three in this game so far.
Starting point is 00:04:28 The three wins, blowouts. I think last year's was like 23 to 6 or 23 to 6. or something like that, that was the closest to a close game. Otherwise, blowouts like I'd never seen with my own eyeballs, at least not with Texas on top. The other three? Gut-wrenching losses. And I know this is going to sound counterintuitive, but that's not a fair trade. In this sort of game, in this sort of rivalry, I feel like a gut-wrenching loss feels worse than a blowout win. I tend to do.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Yeah. Like, I think the blowout win, you weren't supposed to do that blowout win, right? Or when they're new, like, yeah, yeah, yeah, you got this. But especially in this one, we're the number one team in the country and they come in there two and two. You can kind of end their whole situation.
Starting point is 00:05:36 and you had a lead and you blew it. And again, you seem to have better players than everybody else does. This right here, no, man, this don't feel good. And this is part of why I'm on the, like, the playoff is in my bag. I don't really care about it. Like it's a cool little television product or whatever it is. But go ask Ryan Day if that national championship did anything to make his, life easier. I guess it might have saved
Starting point is 00:06:08 his job that year. But think about what I'm saying here. Right? These are the things that are why people are into this. Like, this is one of the few neutral site rivalry games that remains, and it has that distinct look because the split
Starting point is 00:06:26 is at the 50s, right? So you've got the orange side, you've got the crimson side, you've got, you know, the stories are coming out the tunnel because I forget which side, I think it's the Texas side that the tunnel is on. So both teams have to come out because there's only one tunnel, all of those things, them running around the field with that stupid hat, everything that comes with it, right? This is what it's about.
Starting point is 00:06:47 This is what people are into. And Texas can win a national championship. I bet you it will not feel as good as yesterday felt bad. And that's why, if you're this Sark fella, you need to sunny it up or not let that happen again, especially under the circumstances under which it happened this time, right? Even though, by the way, Ryan, I didn't feel like this was a coaching loss. No. You know, you don't want the block punt for touchdown, obviously, right?
Starting point is 00:07:17 And you typically could kind of point to coaching with something like that happens. But this wasn't, this wasn't a coaching loss. This is not him getting overly tight weight like we've seen in the faster, like bizarre play calls to the goal line. No, no, no, no. It wasn't that. It looked. The biggest coaching thing they did is the same thing they did for Mac when it was time to get real serious about business, right? Although Mac had a title by the time they did this.
Starting point is 00:07:40 It's called must champ, right? And their talent with a must champ scheme, that feels great. Like, if that's your squad, that's what you want to watch. Like Colin Simmons, with that guy behind on the controls, that's what you want. He's been doing this for so long. He's so good head at the home. You just can't give him too much power and too much control. But he's so.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Head coach of the defense. Yeah. that's exactly it. He's the head coach of the defense. He's so good at it. And I feel like by and large, they did what they were supposed to do. Orange blew it, right? I mean, there's, there's really no way around that. Arge blew it. Ars through a pick six. Ars through that pick on that out and you can't do that. Right? Like, if that's what it's going to be. That's a terrible throw. It's a terrible throw. If you're going to miss that one, you have to miss it in the crowd. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:40 You can't miss it. Especially with all that time, the middle of fields available to you. I mean, I mean, that was, as I recall, I was out, right? Yes. He went with the out. And that, by the way, is not a good sign for your NFL future. If you can't get it there on the out in college or you can't see that you don't have that throw, ooh, ooh, who, who, that's not.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Because look, that ain't too far from being another pick six. just by the definition of what happens when you get picked on the out. Right. But bottom line is he had a pretty good game except where he didn't. Yeah. But this is about moments. It's all about moments. And when I think about this game and I'm thinking about it,
Starting point is 00:09:23 it really had me thinking about the larger context of college football with the playoff. And again, why the playoff doesn't really do a thing to me or why this transfer and stuff, despite the fact that we will tune in and watch the game. and despite the fact that a lot of you will bet on the games, that to me, you lose something with these guys leaving schools all the time. Like I was on Twitter, and I saw my man, Bruce Feldman, had put a post up about Dillon Raola.
Starting point is 00:09:51 And I knew that he had left Nebraska, but I just couldn't remember where he went. Yes. And I feel like I played that game with how many people. Like, oh, where are you now, right? That takes away from the charm of this. Yes. And if you want to know where I'm coming from on this, the great example here is Arch Manning.
Starting point is 00:10:11 The rare guy that we knew was going to be there the whole time he was there. I didn't know if we could necessarily bet on four, but the uncle stayed for four. Who knows, he might stay for five. Keep it real. Though, who knows how much fun he's actually having. And maybe you might want to just go to the NFL again. I mean, I don't know. I remember his dad was the receiver.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Yes. He may have been a high school quarterback. I really don't know. But this is not Peyton's kid. I think that's an important detail for people to remember. And he's built more like a small school receiver in New Orleans than he is a NFL quarterback. I think that's fair. This is what I think about, though, with him in this game.
Starting point is 00:10:57 There's something for me as a consumer of these sports. And I guess it's somebody who works covering them. the four-year arc, or however long it is, the progression of a quarterback is the most, or even honestly any player, really, but a quarterback, it jumps out more, is the most fascinating thing to me about covering college sports, especially if you're locked in on just one team. You get them at 18. They get out of there at like 22. Think of yourself, think of your kids, think of anybody.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Divorce them from the context. of sports and just think about what all goes on for you between 18 and 22. And the different things you have to figure out, things you have to learn, different things you have to manage everything else, right? Take that. Now place that into the context of a football player generally, but a quarterback specifically. And when we take it to the quarterback, it is the reminder that it's something I've really jumped on more in terms of how.
Starting point is 00:12:04 I think about things in the last couple of years. But this is about moments, right? So there are a lot of players in different sports where if we break out the context of their whole career, Kobe Bryant is a great example, where there are some real ups and downs that take place there, that if you are taking his career in totality
Starting point is 00:12:31 and place that totality next to call it LeBron James or somebody else, it's very easy to be like he 100% doesn't stack up. Now put that in a list of moments. Okay? Throw on there the Uptoshack in 2000. Throw on the 62 and three quarters. Throw on the 81 point game, so forth and so on.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Throw those moments on there. And that stack of moments just shines. And when people go to make their case or say what it is they feel about him, they're not doing a complex equation. they're drawing on the bank of moments. And how they made them feel. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:13:11 But it's just it's those moments. That's where they go to. That's their thing, right? When you have somebody with one of those careers where they stay in one place, you wind up with the collection of moments, both good and bad. Because I think also part of the lore of Kobe, though people ignore the downs is the downs, right? They provide important context for the rest, right?
Starting point is 00:13:33 One of those moments standing in the mall, parking lot with some crazy sunglasses on saying he wanted to get traded to Pluto. That's a moment. That's a thing. Did you see how crazy, speaking of a moment, did you see how crazy online the jam it hurts, the video, the footage of the jam it hurts? I did, I did. We'll get, we'll get there. We'll get there. We'll get there. You need the moments are the thing. Arch has a four-year run where some of his moments are honestly Quinn Ewer's moments, which is to say, you couldn't beat that guy out, huh?
Starting point is 00:14:05 why is this taking so long? We thought you were going to get there. And then he does. Last year, that team was fine. They weren't bad. They were fine. But fine isn't what people were sold. Right?
Starting point is 00:14:20 People were sold. They were getting one of them mannings. And fine is not what you get in the context of one of these mannings. Did get a win over Oklahoma, though, right? They won that game 34 to 3. The end of the year turned up. But the defining moment of that season for Orange Manning, for better or worse, was Ohio State. There was nothing that happened after Ohio State that in people's minds
Starting point is 00:14:45 overcame what that moment looked like, even though it's the first game of the season on the road against maybe the most talented team in the country. And it's a former NFL defense coordinator. Right. But that's the moment that stood out for people. And this year where we talked about this, we said that, he was maybe the fourth best quarterback in the SEC. I saw Josh Pate said something like eight.
Starting point is 00:15:10 I said four because I could say four safely based on what I'd see. After watching Gunter Stockton yesterday, oh, that's another guy that we're putting on top. I think there's some others that you could come up with if you watch more of this, right? By the way, Ryan, I see in the comments, people get mad at me when I say I did not watch a game. I don't know how to break this to you guys, but they play like six of these motherfuckers at the same time.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Right. I can't. By approach is much more, watch as much of one game as you can, as opposed to just, I want to say I popped in. The difference between me and your other favorite host is I don't lie to you. Deep, deep, not white. Yeah, it's all I'm saying. I don't lie to you about whether or not I watch the games.
Starting point is 00:15:45 But for Arch, what do you think people are going to remember more? 34 to 3 or him throwing that game away. Now, I'm not saying this is a win for Arch. I'm not saying that people should necessarily be negative. What I'm trying to say, though, is I feel like for what most of us are into this four. It's about that. Oklahoma, you're probably not going to go to the playoff. Brent Venables, people are probably not going to be happy if your team goes seven and five. Not a single one of those individual losses is going to feel better than yesterday did for those people. With the
Starting point is 00:16:25 exception of one, I loat them. Not quite like Aggie, though. Aggie's different. Oh, man. How's that going, fellas? Um, But this is about moments. Like, that's how I see this. A game could be a moment, a moment within the game, whatever it is. But this thing is about moments. And that was the thing that really struck me as I watched Texas lose that. And let's be clear, Texas lost that game.
Starting point is 00:16:52 And it feels much better when the other team loses than it does, but you actually win it yourself. Talk about some found money. Do you remember when we thought John Meteer was going to be like a number one draft pick? Man. That feels like forever ago. I don't matter today, though, do it. No.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Not even a little bit. Not even. Now, for Ars to be fair, he goes out there and they win a national championship and he turns this around, people will remember that. That will be positive. But I do feel like in the moments and even to a degree in the final accountant, it's going to be this is the thing that matters. This is what it comes down to. And that whole squad better work really hard to turn it into something else, boy, because that right there was embarrassing.

So if you like fun, if you like comedy, and you like learning and protecting yourself from criminals, start listening to Scam Goddess on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, Ryan, you watched your own team lose to Kentucky, so you didn't really have that much time for Georgia, Alabama.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Again, we don't lie to you. Yeah, you had more pressing concerns. Like, when you have the opportunity to lose. lose a game against the Kentucky Wildcats. You got to make sure that's actually going to happen. Anytime you can focus on, you know, your winless SEC Road Street continuing. How long is it? It's like five or six games.
Starting point is 00:24:48 It goes back nearly two years. And anytime you can lose a game where you get outcoached by someone who's been doing it for six weeks, you have to do it. You have to lock it. By the way, do you guys get to play Aggie at home? they already played the Aggie at home. Oh, that's right. That's right.
Starting point is 00:25:05 They play the Aggie at home. That's part of the reason why Elko's, you know, screaming about message. Yeah, okay. I was just hoping Aggie was going to get another loss in there. I was thinking maybe you had a chance. I forgot that they already blew that. It's getting tight over there.
Starting point is 00:25:18 It's getting really, really tight over there. So you did not see that much of Georgia, Alabama. A couple things for you to note. I don't know if you know this. But number one, a lot of white boys that go to the other side of the tracks in this robbery. And when I say that, they catch him passes. Sometimes there's a white boy running a route
Starting point is 00:25:37 and a white boy running down the field with them. And not like around the line of scrimmage, neither. I mean, they're going way, way, way far away. They had, Georgia got this one white dude. They threw him the ball. He was wearing number 23, and he was scampering down the field. And I think it was Fowler on the call. And Fowler's like, hey, 23 is pretty fast.
Starting point is 00:25:56 He's not Brock Fowers fast, but he's pretty fast. Georgia's so cold. Georgia got white boys that's fast. And when they're like, oh, he's not as fast as blank, they don't throw out no perfunctory black dude. They go throw out another white dude. Like the power of your brand is really in how good your white dudes are, especially in basketball.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Like the real brands get the cold white boys. That's how you know Duke, North Carolina, all them, you're really rolling when you, when you in there for them cold white dudes, that's when your shit is really cracking. Georgia has decided only to, only the, what's about a man, witch doctor, line only the coldest white boys can enter.
Starting point is 00:26:34 That's what they're going for. They ain't really just like it used to be because look, I don't know if you know this, but there's like a, there's a law in the books on the state of Georgia that there must be at least one white man in every pass pattern. And you have to make every best effort that a white man
Starting point is 00:26:50 be the one to throw him the ball. Just go look at the rosters. You see exactly what I'm talking about. And I'm sure that the quarterback and at least one of the white boys catching the ball is roommates. It happens with every, these are the rules. Yeah. These are the rules.
Starting point is 00:27:05 That's all I'm saying, right? However, it used to be the dudes was just white. Now they white lightning. The white flash. They got to break out all those nicknays, boy, because they is running down the field. I felt like in watching that game, and I watched most of it, Georgia felt like they had a completely different caliber of talent than Alabama did, right? Alabama felt like that a quarterback that hadn't played in the game this big and it looked like that, taking that sack at the end, no matter what happens,
Starting point is 00:27:38 you just can't do it. Can't do that. Can't, cannot do that. He looked really good. But, and I think he's more talented than Gunn of Stockton. Stockton looked like he had done this before and Stockton looked like he was throwing two better players. Like, there's no way you would have told me two years ago that I thought that Ryan Williams would be out there getting outclassed by various Caucasians on the other team. Just tell you, young man, that should make you go hit the weights or something. I don't know, right? Yeah, get in the jugs machine or whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:12 I mean, it was two years ago that it looked like he was a ghost. I mean, literally, he moved like a ghost. It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen in this game. It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen. But Georgia, you made a great point off my ride that Kirby has built something where they can still play Sabin 1.0 ball. Yes. We're going to throw it enough.
Starting point is 00:28:40 And then we're just going to be way better than you. You know what his record is against teams not named Alabama? What's that? 120 and 14. And that was the thing. Alabama's their bugaboo. Yes. Right?
Starting point is 00:28:54 And that's, there was something charming and watching. this, by the way, the fact that he just still couldn't do it. And it clearly drives him insane. Yes, even with Jalen Milrow out there and everything else, he just couldn't get past him. It almost didn't do it here. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:10 But man, nothing about Georgia, too. Georgia has this Alabama thing that I don't like is that I like to know a little bit more about who the players are. Like, I just don't feel like, I'd never
Starting point is 00:29:26 I never feel like I'm on a real first name basis with the Georgia or Alabama guys. The Florida schools had that, like Florida, especially Florida State, Miami. We knew who all those guys were. Alabama is just, I mean, Georgia, you just tried another guy out there, Dwight Phillips. Sorry, I had to go look up his name. I just remember that he wore number 20 and that boy could move. Yeah. Of course I'm going to look it up and he was like a six star.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Yeah, of course. Moving, man. And I, maybe I'm missing this, but Georgia right now, can we, that is capital T, capital B, the best team of the country right now. For sure. Right. And Ohio State has the, like a candidate for the best player I've ever seen. Yeah, he is, he does something outrated. I mean, they had a tough one, but I'm never going to be ready to out.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I can't believe in Mississippi. I'm never writing off. Indiana football. Hey, you were right. You sent me a text during the game. That was so funny. You're like, I can't believe I'm saying this. But Nebraska, it looks like Nebraska has a chance to end.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Indiana's 21 game losing streak, except maybe. Yeah, 21, yeah. He's now won 22 games in a row at Indiana. Indiana. Yeah. The last game they lost was in Notre Dame in the semifinal. Yeah, I would say this too for Matt Ruhl. Who I generally believed, I mean, I watched what Matt Ruh did.
Starting point is 00:30:54 at Baylor and I watched what he did at Temple. You're going to have a hard time telling me my rule is not a good coach. I had one of my good buddies, Joe Giulio, used to make the point that he didn't give rule credit because rule winning at Baylor because he believed that anybody could win with access to Texas, with recruits in Texas. I'm like, no, doc. No, no, no, no, no, go ask Dave Miranda about that right now. Mm-mm, mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:31:16 It's what he did is really, really hard. But buddy, I assure you, if there's any school that's, like, like, why can't we do that? It's got to be Nebraska, right? Right. I mean, for Nebraska, you know what it was before this? If Wisconsin can do this, why can't we? Dot, dot, dot.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Basically all have the same jerseys anyway. You know, why can't we roll this out and be like these teams? I feel like right now the Big Ten is Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Indiana, and 14 schools. saying, well, if Indiana can do it, dot, dot, dot. Right? Maybe you throw like USC into the first category because they, you know, they got, they got their own expectations, Oregon a little bit, right?
Starting point is 00:32:06 I guess Oregon lost the UCLA. At home. Yeah, that was, that's who Dillera-Ra plays for it. Yes. By the way. But I just couldn't believe how good them players are. The two son Georgia has. Yeah, I mean, he's kind of gone under the radar after winning those two national
Starting point is 00:32:22 titles. But I mean, that roster is just always stacked, stack, stack. And the thing about the roster that they stacked over the years is that it is not just loaded with dudes from Atlanta and dudes from Georgia. Because I think you could make an argument right now that if they told every school, you could only win, you could only take players from your state and then let every school compete over the players that are within their states. Georgia would come out with the best players. Yes. If you play that game.
Starting point is 00:33:01 And I know some people are saying, like, what about Louisiana, LSU as the only competition? Georgia's the only competition in Georgia. Right. Like, fine, give Georgia to take all the boys they can do calculus. Give them all. You got to have every single. I mean, every now and then you get Calvin Johnson like that.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I don't want to pretend like, you know, there's nothing to it. But yeah, you go ahead and take them and let Georgia have everybody else. Dude, they're not even doing that. Brock Bowers ain't from one of them. ain't from one of them towns I don't want to go to at night. Here from Cal, well, I mean, I don't know where he's from in California. I might not want to go there at night either. But they don't have, they don't even have to do that.
Starting point is 00:33:32 They just get the best players from everywhere. Like the day I realized that Georgia was playing a different game. It was when they had Bowers and Darnell, Washington at the same time, which meant that they were coming out of the, you could say they were coming out of the huddle with two tight ends. No, they weren't. They were coming out of the huddle with six offensive linemen and three wide receivers.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Or it was two tight ends. or it was they could just do whatever they wanted just on the basis of the fact that they had these two tight ends that didn't seem real in different ways that two tight ends could not seem real. Just what it is. What are they doing strategically? I don't fucking know. It'd be better than people. Just moving. I mean, this is a good Alabama team. Yes. I wouldn't say it's a great Alabama team, but it's a good Alabama team. Would you be surprised if they got to the SEC championship game this year? I would not. I would not. It's a good team. And I think Georgia's leaving that game mad that it was as close as it was. I'm sure Kirby is.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Kirby better not be greedy. Kirby, Kirby, Kirby, Kirby needs to stick with this with a, woo. Man, got me one of these. I mean, they got him in the SEC championship game that year, too, but still got me one of these. Who? What else we got in it?
Starting point is 00:34:45 Talk about Elko. Oh, all right, guys. So I'm going to help you for those of you who aren't, like, internet college football fans. Mike Elko's the head coach at Texas A&M, and Elko made a big mistake this weekend. All right. So they lost, who beat them?
Starting point is 00:35:06 They lost to Missouri. Okay, which by the way, not an unreasonable loss. The problem is it's the third one of these. This was not, they weren't supposed to be going into that game expecting to lose the Missouri. Okay, this is tough. And I think Elko is a very,
Starting point is 00:35:24 good coach. I think the team that he put together at Duke had me sold on that forever. And they won a gang of games last year, right? The only thing about Elko is I just want to point out that every hire that they've made since Slocum left after
Starting point is 00:35:45 03. I think that's the year. No, no, no, after 02. Every hire they've made since then has been an external hire. and none of them have worked. Now, Sumlin had done some time, you know, had worked there, but they went from Cheryl to Slocum, and Slocum that worked very well with the two of them.
Starting point is 00:36:07 That era is probably the best era of Texas A&M football. I just bring that up because I wonder if you need a little time there to, like, understand who these people are before you come in and take that gig. I'm just asking, I'm not sure. But Elko is like one of these football genius guys. and that's cool, but that's not who these, that's not, these aren't those kind of people. No.
Starting point is 00:36:30 They're just not. They just not. Anyway, I say that to say, Elko is a football genius guy. And I don't think he understands exactly how he needs to get, navigate what's going on here. And they've had a thing that happens in football quite often, a crazy quarterback regression. Marcel Reed looked really good last year. He does not look good this year. He looks like he has no idea what he's.
Starting point is 00:36:55 supposed to do when he's supposed to do it, all of those things. Elko does post game and somebody asks him something about the fans and he makes an important distinction. He's like, you got the real fans and then you've got social media fans. He could have left it there, but he pointed out one particular website that is called textags.com, except he didn't call it textags.com. He called it and I quote, Billy's cesspool. Billy is Billy Lucci who owns that site. And I want to be clear that is not an unfair assessment of Billy's site.
Starting point is 00:37:42 And I say this is somebody who knows Billy and likes him. I mean, all college message boards are cesspools. Yeah, I don't, you're not, you're not, you're not hearing me right now. If this was about all college sites, I would have said that. Yes, okay. But I'm talking about this one right here. I concur with you on that. All right.
Starting point is 00:38:05 We all, and I find that everybody I know that's ever met Billy likes Billy. I had a nice long conversation with Billy at the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. I did not expect to like Billy as much as I did based on that site. However, what Elko doesn't get is this. Billy and his site were there before him. Billy and his site will be there after him and Billy is an NIL player. You can't get to this point before October 15th. No.
Starting point is 00:38:41 This indicates that it's about to be a real tough ride for Elko on the way out. And while I saw someone say it will cost a lot of money for them to move on from Elko, I ask the question that you always ask at times like this for Texas A&M, what's the price accrued? Right, I've been reading the news. Sounds like the price accrued is pretty high. Yes. If the price accrued is high, your job is not safe. Ever.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Ever. But this is one of the worst jobs. you can have. Because for whatever reason, you're not going to be as good as you expect. No. You're just not. Why not? It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Something's going to happen and you're not. And you can't explain to these people why it is that they ain't better. And it's even harder to explain now that money is the only part that matters. Because the issue used to be white people struggle to understand that black people are not here
Starting point is 00:39:52 for this college station thing. They'd be like, oh, it's not like it used to be. It's still college state. Even Will Mustchamp has jokes about that place. Will Mustchamp. All right? But now it's money. That holdup shouldn't be a holdup, should it?
Starting point is 00:40:12 What are they three and three? With more to come, right? It's always going to be something.
