Like, if you were a Knicks fan or a Spurs fan, I don't know how you went to sleep on Wednesday night. First of all, how about I spent all week thinking that game was going to be on Thursday. I didn't know the game was on Wednesday until in the afternoon.

Then he sent me a text and was like, I can't wait for the night. And I'm like, what's happening tonight? Yeah, is there a game? Oh, there's a game. had no idea. That, like, Ryan and I sat in here and tried to figure out, like, how exactly is it that you go about talking about this game, right? Because we're not going to do this and we don't do this in a way where you got, like,

these quick little questions that you ask. I've been watching the ESPN stuff, and baby, they are all over the place. Like, this, in radio, this is the easiest show in the world to produce. You just flip the switch and you start talking, right? That's it. Turn on the phone lines. You don't need a plan. you don't know anything.

You just go in here and you do it. In this fashion, we try to get to the highlights and things. Like, I don't know where to go. I woke up. I talked to Jason Goff on the phone. I want to say before 9 a.m. his time. Maybe actually, like, well before that, because I just needed somebody to talk to.

And my friends in the East Times Zone wasn't picking up the phone. I like to surprise Ryan would have. of the stuff that I'm going to get out here and say, I just need people to talk to. I finally got a chance to talk to the homie, Rod. Like I realized I was doing all this texting with people in the first half and the second half was so crazy because at first we weren't texting anymore because there was nothing to talk about. Then it got to be so chaotic as everything went that nobody had the time

to just be texting with each other. Like, it was, it's, that's the most stunning ending to a game that I can recall. Now, the only comeback. in line with this that I can truly remember are not in basketball. They're in football and they're fairly obvious examples that you hear people bring up.

But I think they actually do fit. One of them is January 3rd, 1993. The Houston Oilers blew a 35 to 3 lead to the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round of the playoffs. The other is the Atlanta Falcons, honestly, as you should have expected. We're blowing a 28 to 3 lead to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Maybe you heard about it.

Okay. Ooh, that'll be a time machine Tuesday. Come up pretty soon. Yeah, 10 years. It'll be 10 years in February 2017. Anyway, here's what those games had in common. The Oilers at that time, for those of you who were too young to remember this, were running an offense called the run and shoot.

And it's a very important detail in the story of them. blowing that lead because every down they ran with one running back and four wide receivers, 10 personnel is what they call it. And you get out to a 35 to 3 lead. And even if you call your offense a ball control offense because it's predicated on short passing, if the short pass it doesn't work, then the clock stops. And somehow in a game where Buffalo trailed the oilers 35 to 3 at some point, Buffalo had more carries, more rushing attention. temps than the Oilers did. Lorenzo White, their Pro Bowl running back and ran for 1,200 yards that year only had, I want to say, it was even 17 or 19 cares. I can't remember which, but that's

where it was. They didn't run the ball. And so you make it easy for them when the clock stops. What did Kyle Shanahan and his big brain go out there and do in that Super Bowl? Kept throwing the ball. Your defense got gassed. You wound up losing the game. That is what the Spurs did in the second half. They just went out there. I've seen the exact numbers. I can't remember now. But after they were making all those shots in the first half, getting all those buckets, they kept shooting early in the shot clock threes in the second half. That just didn't make any sense. Analogous to the football teams and their defense is getting gassed. Inexplicably, Mitch Johnson had Victor playing almost all of that second half. Like this was a 20-something.

the point game in the fourth quarter. You still have this guy that we know because of the unique demands that you put on him relative to his physique and everything else. His levels of exhaustion we've known about. This is a thing. And he had him out there. He played 44 minutes in a game where you had a giant lead for the majority of it. It didn't make any sense. And by the way, I thought they had him out there for too many minutes in the first half where they got Carl Anthony town's out of there literally in 65 seconds with two fouls. Like, this, it was malpractice on so many levels. Coaching malpractice is number one where we go on this, right?

But there's another level of malpractice that took place in this game. And it really comes down to like what kind of league the NBA wants to be and what it is that they want to do. And I know you're wondering, like, what it is that I'm talking about. And you remember a couple days ago, it was his football player. And Brendan Soresby, he's supposed to be the quarterback at Texas Tech. And, you know, he had done some gambling. And he's going to be able to play.

The NCAA tried to ban him forever. And then the court said no, and he's going to be able to play. And then what we saw after that was a lot of people come down on a, Texas Tech and say that Texas Tech is the ones who's wrong. They shouldn't even allow him to play at all, you know, given the circumstances. And you had a whole lot of teams that's out here saying, you know, well, we're not going to play against Texas Tech. If they're going to continue to let Soresby play, we're not going to play against Texas Tech. And, you know, that's how, that's how, that's how they show us they're serious, right? That's how they show us that they're serious about gambling.

at every turn, the NBA has at least tried to tell us that they're serious about gambling. They had the hiccups. They had Terry Rozier. They had Jontay Porter, whatever's going on with Chauncey Billups, Damon Jones. You know what I mean? They got those things. Now, if the NBA and all the teams really want to show us how serious they are, there's only one solution. As long as Deerran Fox plays for the Spurs, everybody else got to say, no, we're not going to play against them.

You're not going to do that. He out here threatening the integrity of the gang. Crossed the line that can't be crossed. Yeah. I mean, what I have explanation you got for that shit? Right? Like, I had made a joke with somebody a beat writer,

and I was like, shit, man, I thought Deeran Fonsu's Houston. Way, he was out there playing. It turned out, he was a lifelong Knicks fan. I ain't never seen nobody fucking up like that. Like, anybody like that, you're like, what do you mean like that? Whatever like that you could possibly imagine.

He found a way to dabble in it. Let me go find that one stat that I just sent somebody about how bad he was messing up. This is from Caitlin Cooper. Fox had 44 touches in the second half, the most of any spur. Only five touched the paint. San Antonio scored 0.387 points per chance out of his touches, just so you know, that's really bad. He shot 2 of 6 with two turnovers when defended by OG.

Guys, that's really, really, really bad. just on its face. That's before we get to this. Look, Victor missed those free throws late. You can blame it on fatigue or whatever it is, but you got to lock in and make, you got to make those free throws. Or at the very least you got to make one of them.

Right. Putting up an 0 for two, that wasn't a, that was not allowed in that moment. Okay. But he made a huge play with that block that got the ball, back across half court where Deeran Fox had it

with like 14 seconds left and the Spurs have a one point lead and what I just talked about before. One of these paint touches that one of these very few paint touches. That's a great point. That was the paint touch. But what I say before about these cats

not respecting the clock. Like now was the time to dribble it out, run some clock, make them foul you, whatever it is. Nope, he went for that layup, and OG Adenobe came and pitched. Yeah.

Blocked. Okay. Now we're coming back the other way. And by the way, at this point, I'm at my house like, what is happening? What an amazing game. So now it comes back the other way.

Fox did something that seems smart, right? Which was they had a file to give. Filing Alvarado. Put a pen on that name, by the way. Filing Alvarado. But Alvarado was in the process of dribbling back across, half court. Deer Fawks couldn't do, he did wrong when he did right. Okay. So now the ball comes in, they come on the side out of bounds, they get a ball to Brunson, Victor's Guard and Brunson.

Fox is kind of shading over there for whatever reason. Victor's Guard and Brunson. Brunson shoots a 30-footer because that's what happens when the guy guarding you is eight feet tall. The one thing we knew about that was, Jaila Brunson was never going to pass that ball to anybody. Never and not not considering going at Victor. Right. So like the thing with Fox was Fox either needed to come all the way or like they needed to, I saw Jason Williams on television this morning talking about how they didn't do the Blitz right.

Whatever. I don't, I'm not the guy to ask about that. But I know this. They either both needed to be committed to Brunson or Victor needed to have him and then Fox was going to be on OG. But no, it didn't work that way. Brunson shoots that shot. Fox doesn't box out OG and then OG gets there.

Now, if you look at all those videos and all those pictures of OG going up for that incredible tip in, that they're calling the hand to God, but that name's already taken. We have a podcast about it next week. You look at it and it gets back to one of those San Antonio weaknesses. OG's going up. Carl is there. Victor's on the perimeter. So who's down there? A bunch of dudes not big enough for the fight that was there. But even with that being the case, they'd have been fine. If Fox had just put a little body onto O. Just classic losing the inbounder. Sometimes you got to teut that thing up. But it wasn't about losing the inbounder because it was supposed to be his man. Yeah. Right? You needed to do something in that moment. He just, he consistently blew it in the second half.

He and Mitch Johnson, where they had that one out of bounds play, I think Castle wound up scoring on it late. Right. And I was like, what did y'all talk about in the huddle? This wasn't no play. There wasn't no scheme. How many times? Like, he is not the, let me cook something up right fast.

And we're going to go out there. He doesn't have that. But there's no way that Lee should have been blown the way it was without the coach, at least getting in and being like, fellas, slow it down. We don't need these shots as of right now. This after one of the most top to bottom dominant first halves, I have ever seen in my life. They wrecked the Knicks.

I thought the Knicks were completely finished. The Knicks came out there, energy wise, dead. Victor was punking them. He made Mitchell Robinson completely lose his shit. He's sitting on the ground. I'm in your head, boy. And he was. They played such an awful game in the first half.

Part of it, of course, the San Antonio wouldn't miss. Right? Like some of that was outside the control of the Knicks. but the truth was, as has been the case in all these games, San Antonio came out early, but then they just, they were relentless about it, made Mitchell Robinson elbow victor in the jaw. Just because he was mad, that was it. There was, like, there was no reason to believe that the Knicks had to resolve. I guess maybe the Cleveland game, the game won against Cleveland, but this ain't the Cleveland

Cavaliers. Like, my man Rob made a great point. They went from walking over everybody. over there, beating about 30 points, 20 points over there. And these, they came over here. These games, even the first game, which was double-digit, but these games are different than those. Like, it was obvious that they stepped up to a different level of competition,

and it looked like they were demoralized by the fact that they heard too much of that Nixon 4 in the street, and they got demoralized by the fact they couldn't. And I'll throw something else out there. I was talking to an agent about this. He made a very interesting point, which is that as an arena, Madison Square Garden is a place that carries negative energy, like nervous energy specifically. And you can believe that 20,000,

Knicks fans? Yeah, after they had lost game three? Yeah, and they haven't won in there in 50 years. Yeah, there were, I mean, there was a tension. And you can see that, feel that through the television. They're expecting things to go wrong. And then it kept going.

Then it kept going. And they made, I just can't believe it. I just, I have sat up, it's been now that we're recording this. The game's been over. It hasn't even been 12 hours. And I was just like, I don't know what it is. I don't know how you're supposed to put in words what happened. You obviously have to blame San Antonio.

This was a collapse, but the type of collapse to me was interesting. It did not feel like the moment was too big for them. It did not feel like they got nervous. It just felt like they're idiots. Like they just started playing idiot ball. Like, am I supposed to believe that the pressure of a 30-point lead was too much? No, I think they started like fucking around.

I think the thing that happened to the Knicks, one of the things that happened to the Knicks in the first half, I think happened to San Antonio in the second half, or these two things are similar, right? They went down a similar path. In the first half, the Knicks were clearly caught up in their plan to just knock Victor around. For sure.

They had decided they was going to get their leg back and they was going to elbow him and they were going to bump him and grab him at every turn. That's what they were going to do. Carl got those two fouls early. and let me stop and say something very quickly about that. I hate this part of the replay rules. I completely hate this idea that they challenge the call

on whether or not Victor committed a foul on the block. And he clearly did not file him on that block. I don't feel like they should be able to go back and then go be like, well, actually, we looked about three seconds before that player, Carl hooked him. Yeah, it makes no sense. That's like not how.

sports are supposed to work. I don't feel like you should be able to do that. Like, I don't feel like the replay should be a carte blanche to go back and look at everything. Like, I think that you should have to be very clear. Another thing I don't think you should be allowed to do, I don't think they should be allowed to have them goddamn iPads, either challenge it or you don't. If DeKal wasn't so bad that you were so sure of it at that time that you're going to do something about it, then we don't need to go to no goddamn replay. You understand what I'm saying? It's like your definition of flagrant from yesterday. Exactly. That's why these games be taken so long. It's because they can get back and then be like, well, hold on, go back a little

bit earlier and see if such happened. No, no, no, that ain't what we, that's not what the trial about. That's not what we're doing right now, man. Fuck out of here. But anyway, they kept trying to assault the spurs, basically, and the spurs were thriving on it.

Like, it's interesting. Once the Knicks gave up on doing that and went back to actually playing basketball, what do you know? They did okay. I also felt like that first half was a lot of, did it feel like a lot of Brunson ball? Yes.

Did the second half feel like it? Because I didn't think the second half felt like it until late when you kind of wanted to be Brunson ball. Like at some point, they're going to get that through to him. That you are the king of the city. You are our number two guy on the court. And Nick's fans don't like hearing that. One of my buddies, you know, who is not a short man but not a tall man.

take that Becky Hammond. You know, like, that's what Janel Bruns and out here doing all the time with his daddy over there making a fool of himself some of the time. You know, any of that. Didn't make the shot to get it done. OG did.

And shout out to you, Josh Hart. Buddy, buddy, buddy, buddy, buddy, buddy. Josh Hart. He missed that layup. Couldn't figure out if you wanted to dunk, if he wanted to lay it up. That was a choke. Like, that was, there was no way,

around it and he got spared. Yeah. He got 100% spared because it was, I mean, it wasn't going to be like the end for him because they would have gone down to, too, too, but it had been a lot of people. Almost killed Larry David. He did almost kill Larry David. He did almost kill Larry David. Like, that was, that was wild bad. Like, that was, I can't imagine what it was like to be there. All my friends who got to go, Foxworth got to go, Kravitz was there, some of my rich friends. shit, man. David Dennis got a credential to get in there. Good for you. I'm hating. I mean, I'm being perfectly honest about this. Like, I'm one friend of the program, I won't say his name, because I don't know if he wanted me to say this part, but just to let you know, imagine what his night was like, I was like, yo, how did you get to sleep? Because I had trouble. Well, oh, I got to sleep because I'd be doing that. But anyway, I was like, so how did you get to sleep? He said, I couldn't go to sleep until 2 o'clock in the morning. And this. more than I got a colonoscopy.

Hey, that's a man that had a lot going on. I had a rough 24 hours. Yeah, over 12 hours. He had a lot. No, no, it was the colonoscopy's after the game. Oh, yeah, but I mean, prep. Yeah, oh, that's right. Apparently the prep's not as bad as it used to be.

But, yes. It's not exactly a walk in the park either, I imagine. I did the thing when my colonoscopy time came, where they basically what you do is they send you a kit and you put a stool sample in the kit

and then you mailed a kit off and then they let you know like if you need the colonoscopy and I did that and I went to go take it to the UPS store and I was assuming that the UPS store

opened at 8 because you would think that it would open early because people sent packages and stuff like that but the UPS store actually didn't open until 9 and I got out there at like 840 and let me tell you what feels weird,

just standing outside on the corner holding a box of dokey. Like nobody else knows that you got a box of dokey, but I'm just... But you do. Yeah, I'm just there, standing there holding the box of dukey. Like, somebody, please get this duke out of my hands. And like, I kind of wanted to warn to do when I handed it over to him. Be careful.

Is dukey in that box? But I didn't want to... I didn't think bringing attention to the duke was necessarily... It's not the first time he's... He's been in that situation. That's right. I don't know if he knows that's what's going on.

Fair. That's that's all of, that's all I'm saying. Anyway, uh, back to the basketball. Did you see, you know, Rich Paul got that podcast and I'm aware. Habershow sent me this video of it. I watched some and it was real tricky for, uh, for Rich because the two guys responsible for this loss primarily, the Deer and Fox. Have you seen the, you've seen the super cuts?

Yes. The DERFIS blooper reels of all his terrible. People cut them things up fast, by the way. Like for people to not get paid for that shit, they was really, I guess that maybe, but I guess those people who are doing that, they are getting paid like Sally Struthers prices,

you know, like 30 cents a day. You know, like they over there, whatever country they're in, cutting up them videos. So like getting paid in a matter of speaking, as opposed they are.

They're not, somebody getting paid. I don't know if it's the people that's out there cutting up the videos, You know what I'm saying? But anyway, Rich Paul's on this podcast and they recorded fast because, you know,

they're on the West Coast. So I guess that means, you know, you got the luxury. You could cut that after the game and not everybody already be sleepy. But the two culprits are Mitch Johnson and Deere Fox. Cross clients. Both of them.

Both of them, his guys. And he's like, I think that Rich, I think that guys who decide to do this very, this being, and the job that I do. I think very often they are more serious about the job

than people will give them credit for. You know what I mean? Like I think that they are, they like, for example, Charles Barkley really cares about the integrity of the things he says on television, right? Like that was his thing, what you talked to him about when he fell out with Mike? And he was like, hey, man, I don't think he's done a good job.

And I have to tell the truth about whether or not he's done a good job. Like I think a lot of, like, I think Draymond goes too hard on the people he doesn't like, right? but I think, I think Draymond cares about his, I think there are a lot of those guys who, Kendrick Perkins, I think, they care about their credibility. And I think that Rich Paul

cares about his credibility. And that's why he can't do this podcast. Because sometimes you get up and your guys are the ones that shit to bed. And you can't do this the way that you want to do it under those circumstances. Because it's those guys. I don't see any other way

to look at this. Like, I feel bad because they're like, well, what about the. good things the Knicks did. I don't remember that many of them. There's a tip. They got, you know. It's the tip.

There's the tip. And by the thing, not that they didn't do anything. But like, I didn't feel like, boy, the Knicks, like her Mike Breen starts saying, oh, the Knicks started playing fantastic defense.

I didn't not feel like the Knicks started playing fantastic defense. I didn't think they played bad defense. But I didn't, like, I didn't feel like all of a sudden now they put the clamps on, right? Or this was like what a great team decides we're going to come back.

And now they start taking the ball at every turn. The Spurs had eight a stretch where they missed eight straight threes. Went full Mazur. Yeah. Like, I don't think that had that much to do with the Knicks at that point. I think this was, I mean, truly one of the more epic collapses that we've ever seen. And I don't, I don't want to take anything away from the Knicks because obviously they were able to make shots. Carl got in the game.

And by the way, another game with an incredible plus minus number from Carl. O.G. Anobie, Annanobie, again, right? played a fantastic game and obviously not just the tip, but just his presence and he's hitting the shots that are there for him to hit like that. They got him for R.J. Barrett. Yes. What a heist. RJ Barrett, a manual quickly in like a terrible first round pick. Yes, but also a reminder of how hard it is to win in the NBA. The Spurs need an OG or an Aaron Gordon or like, you know, somebody of a similar ilk. They're not the exact same player, but, you know,

I think you guys see what I'm saying. But one of those costs $30 million a year. You know what I mean? Like that's what it takes to get one of those guys. But I said put a pen in Alvarado. It is a damning indictment of McHale Bridges that they played Jose Alvarado for all those minutes down the stretch. Like part of it was needing a ball handler,

but I can only take that as Mike Brown believing that McHill Bridges is not up for the moment. And he's the guy they've got that's been there. Like, OG didn't play in the playoffs that year for the rap. appendicitis situation. Mikhail Bridges, like, Ryan, did you ever imagine there be a world where Jose Alvarado, like, was taking shots and getting big minutes? Because the one thing, one thing about Alvarado is Alvarado ain't going to scare.

Right. But they had those two little bitty guards out there. And McHale Bridges. When they needed big stops. When they needed them. And Alvarado not afraid to go to the back because Alvarado, Alvarado got more practice playing against somebody like Victor than the rest of the guys because everybody like Victor compared to Alvaro.

That's been his whole life. Shit, man, I might as well be Victor next to Alvarado. Right? So he knows how to get all those angles and get it right there and all that stuff. They're doing the whole thing. Like, I think you have to give, I have to give the Knicks credit for this. It's not about the plays they made. It's about the fact that they look like they were checked out.

And somehow just, I want to say kept chopping wood, but they wasn't chopping no wood in the first half. Like, nobody can understand how in the world this happened. It's the most inexplicable anything that I can think of. Guess what? We got another game on Friday. Or no, Saturday. Not going to make that mistake again.

Ryan, the wildest thing, man, I do not think this series is over. I still think San Antonio can win this. San Antonio has had an opportunity to win every game this series. They were favored to win the whole thing at half. Yeah.

I mean, and like, as you, if you're a Santona fan, you feel like this series should be two, two of the absolute worst. Like, I mean, you've had two chances with the ball with 10 seconds, and you had the incredible, the incredibly insane unlucky turnover in game two. And then you had, you know, you're, You're missing a shot up one to, you know, they're not drilling the clock out. So it's just too incredible.

Just you, you said the series is not over. So I know that I know that people find the more woo-woo things that Victor does or some people do to find, they find that to be a bit performative. The turn is, the villain turn has happened. It is happening. Here's the only thing I'm saying about the woo-woo stuff, though. As somebody who knows people who do those things

and is a touch-inclined toward those things myself, I don't really think it's as performative as other people think it is, right? Like, I think one thing that got people is he told Ramon and Shelburne that he was walking through the arena barefoot because it was his first time there. Hey, man, I know the people that really care of, like that being grounded, you know, that sort of stuff.

That I didn't find, I don't find that stuff to be performative. I think that he's really into those things. And he went, you know, the stuff with the monks we always talk about. I've been doing a little reading on to Buddhism lately. And the thing that I will say that the Buddhists are big about is, and I'm going to put it in sporting terms, is don't lose the same game twice. Right? Like, it is one thing to suffer.

It is one thing to feel bad. It is one thing, whatever it is. but if you suffer because you suffered, that's when things, that's the snowball. You understand what I'm saying? So, like, you can't lose, let that game beat you again. And that's what Victor seems to have a hold up, right? Like, I did not see from him postgame somebody that felt beaten by this,

felt defeated, or whatever it is. But the truth is, when it was time to rally the troops in the second half, you looked like a front runner because you weren't able to like, you did not do the thing that needed to be done. I don't think he understood. And maybe from now on, they'll never have this problem again. Like that Tom Brady type shit.

Like, we up by three touchdowns and now we go down to up two touchdowns. Hey, what happened to three? Like, I'm a scream at you the same way. It's screaming at his offensive lineman up 28 points. Sometimes you got to do it, man. Like, like that's what the stakes were,

especially in a game with three point shots. That's what you have to do. I want to see what the Knicks come back with. Like, this is their chance. If I'm the Knicks, I don't want to bring this back to Madison Square Garden because that nervousness thing that I was talking about before, that's really going to be there if you come back for game six. It's really, like, that's not, that is not going to, one, that's not going to be a comforting

environment. And two, the spurs have shown us that they are not, they were not intimidated by the loudest and most raucous that arena was ever going to be. And honestly, I don't feel like they were intimidated by it in the second half. So if I had to guess, have this game on Saturday, I think this will go to a game six. I just don't think San Antonio is out of it. And to be fair to San Antonio,

I think we put them out of this a couple times already. We had them out of it in that Oklahoma City series. I think we had them out of it down 2-0 in this series. I don't, my buddy Vinny, he is the seer of all things. He's the one to hit you and be like, yeah, during the comeback against against Cleveland for the next year. They're going to win this one. He did it last night during that game.

Or was that during that game? Nope, this is what it going to be. He is that guy. He sees it. I don't think that he sees the spurs pulling this off. But I'm not sure. I'm not, you know, he's better at this than me for a number of reasons, right? He's been watching so many of these games. He knows how I played. But I think San Antonio is still in this.

I don't think that this one is going to be a rap. I feel like we deserve for this to keep going. I don't want this to end. This is, even if this is a five-game series, it has been a great series, if it is that. Like, Hagler-Herns was only four rounds. You know what I mean?

Like, I feel like it's been, I feel like it's been that sort of game. And I feel like the Spurs, and you tell me, if you see where I'm coming from, on this one, Ryan, I feel like everything the Spurs did in game, 3 can be replicated for this game. Absolutely.

I think that if they go back to doing the things they did in game three, it'll be fine. I mean, if Wimby still has, you know, the three games left like he did, essentially from the second half of game two to the first half of game four, like if you can stretch together, two games together like that, Spurs are certainly alive, and then you get into game seven in your building. Yeah. And if Jalen Brunson forgets about the other guys,

which can happen, and to be fair to him, a lot of game without Carl and without him in the game, I can see why he'd be like, man, getting a ball to rest of these cats, what are you talking about? Yeah.

Like, without Carl in the game, and it's clear that they were trying to run it through Carl, and then you can't run it through Carl anymore. And so, fine, then I'll do. I guess I have to do it. Yeah. You know, so I guess you wind up getting caught and going back.

to that place. Stefan Castle, another maddening case, by the way, in that game. He didn't play poorly. But interestingly, he only took like seven shots. Yeah, you called that. He's going to be a mystery for a long, long time for those Spurs fans. Yeah, he only took seven shots. The cell, they say he missed shots, but I feel like I didn't see none of them.

I felt like every time I saw him put one up. Dylan Harper late didn't put up any shots. And I think part of that again is they were coming down to Florida. and they were rushing in the ways they were. Now, Ryan, let me ask you this, because I think this is the other topic. The officiating was going to be way high on the list if the Knicks lost that game.

They won that game. I don't know how bad, if I thought it was as bad as people made it out to be. Like the couple of those gold tens were bad, but that completely, that also took the Knicks out the game in a way that grown-ups are not supposed to allow themselves to be taken out of game.

and so once that enters the conversation cycle it is almost impossible for it to to be to you know come back and break contain once it gets there let me tell you what is never going to be

a trending topic excellent officiating ever right like it's never going to be, wow, those calls were so... Everyone did such a great job. It's never going to happen. And now, yo, we used to go from joking about games being fixed. Nah, no, no, no, no.

People, like, really think these games are fixed now. I mean, definitely as people, you know, are more conspiratorial, you know. Yeah. Putting, you know, Julian Crawford on these games or whoever. Like, like, the jokes about putting the extender on the game. Yes. doesn't it, like, you know, doesn't feel as wholesome as it used to. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, like, these are, these are the things that we've got here. Like, this is what it is. And so I'd be curious to know how that goes in game five because you talk about the extender. I mean, we know he's going to be there, right? Right. He being, uh, Scott Foster. Yeah, Scott Foster. Joey Crawford's the old one.

Yeah, yeah, Scott Foster, I think Joey's retired out. Yeah. Yeah. Scott Foster will be there to extend that. And then in game six, I guess. is that's what Tony Brothers is going to show up, or is it going to be what they did earlier in these series and they had them out there together?

Like, you know them pictures that people put on the Internet when it'd be like too good-looking woman with each other, and they hug it and somebody would be like, ooh, the mac and cheese and the yams are touching. I think it's more your algorithm than mine. You should come over here. Yeah, that's on me. That's my mistake. Yeah, Scott Foster and Tony Brothers, that is the opposite.

like that is like some unholy version of the Omar Brother Muzon like pulling up on you type of situation like that's what that is. It's shock me. We're going to see one or both of them in game five and one between game five and between game six, we will see both. Yes. We will see what. That's all to say this about Tony Brothers right fast.

No matter where Tony Brothers was in this world, ain't no way in the world that I would see Tony Brothers that think that he made his living running. It really is amazing the people who referee these games doing high leverage physical activity for three hours at a time and you look like dudes. And having to make

decisions. And having to cut. Like it's not just running. It's not a marathon. They got to be agile. They've got to change direction. And rotations and all this stuff. You got it from here. You got it from there. I'm surprised these guys don't have an epidemic of terror in their Achilles like the players do. No, no. It's a lot going

Oh, man. It's a lot. But we're going to see, this is, we're going to learn a lot about a lot of people in game five. I think the other thing, too, that Victor is going to have to pick up out of this game was in that second half, I think they just thought that they had the luxury to be out there styling and why are you shooting all these threes. Right.

There was just no reason for them to not figure out ways to run the clock and get closer to the basket and they blew it. They completely they they they blew the chance to really, really, really take control and set up the pivotal, pivotal game, um, game five. Instead, it is now for the spurs a do or die.
