You only give us four stars.
I'm inclined to believe you are a hater.
It is Thursday with Dominique Foxworth.
What's going on, brother?
Man, we got football.
Life gets a lot easier for us.
It does.
But I feel like you ain't been on in like two months
that I'm thinking about this.
Yeah, I miss it.
I'm back.
You got on the Honolulu Blue.
Everything's right in the world.
That's right, baby.
That's right.
I bought all this Honolulu Blue.
I'd be forgetting to wear.
Not this year, dog.
Not this year.
We're going to talk a little bit more about America's team.
But I ain't going to lie to you.
I don't know if anybody else feels this way.
but I didn't know it was a Wednesday game until Wednesday.
I thought that they were going to run one of these silly double headers on us
because they got the game on Thursday over there in Australia,
and I thought that that game was going to come on after the first game on Thursday
because the first game is always on Thursday,
but the NFL just letting you know they're coming for the whole goddamn week.
They put them a game on Wednesday.
I mean, I'm sure that I don't have to tell you
and most people who listen to the show know that it's most likely.
about money. They got to sell a new package. So you know what? Amazon, you want a game?
You want a stand-alone game? Start the season. All right. We're going to do this kickoff thing
on Wednesday. You just stand-alone on Thursday. And I will say this about the Thursday game.
I had to look it up and I'm going to do it again. We put into the search time in Melbourne.
Okay. So Melbourne is 14 hours ahead, which is to say they'll be playing that game at 10.30 in the
morning in Australia on a Friday. And look,
maybe that's one of those countries
of people don't go to work, right?
I just got through going to three different
European countries that appear to be very work optional.
Maybe that's the way that they treat things in Australia.
I don't know.
I mean, I think the goal of this is world domination.
You would think that they would put it at a time
that's convenient for the other parts of the world.
They got to balance the pay.
I mean, I guess I'm surprised
because it doesn't seem like it's any bigger event,
I would guess for them over there,
that it's like this standalone thing
than if it was just a game there.
but I think I should probably be quiet.
They probably know how to make money.
Yeah, but we ain't got no reason to think they smart.
Like, let's just throw that out there.
But first, in that Wednesday night game, two things happen.
Sam Darnel got hurt and Drake May stunk again.
Which one do you want to get to first?
I mean, I think that Drake May stunk again is a little bit more interested to me right now
because we don't have all the information on the Sam Donald stuff.
I'm sure that'll matter.
but he is less intricle to the success of that team than most Super Bowl champion
quarterbacks, I would say.
The Drake May stuff is interesting.
Okay, we will go to the Drake May stuff, and then I think I will make the Sam Dardle more
interesting than many people may have expected.
All right.
Well, start with Drake May.
It's even more interesting to me because it comes on the heels of three really bad games
in a row.
And so, like, I know he was running up for the MVP, and many people voted for him and
think that he should be the MVP.
but it wasn't it hasn't been MVP like since he entered the playoffs and at the beginning of this
and you know how it is these standalone games I think you're one of the first people a decade ago
is talking about how some standalone games really have an impact on the way we talk and think about
you so Drake May you're going to sit on them three interceptions until I don't know when the next time
you've got a Monday or Thursday night he's had four straight standalone bad games
and won all but the last two.
I guess it's not all.
He won.
He lost the last two.
It just felt like such a run in the playoffs, man.
They felt like he was ripping through the playoffs even though he wasn't doing nothing.
Well, like he and C.J.
Stroud, who I imagine we'll talk about a little later in this, right?
C.J. Stroud is going into year four.
But the bottom line is what you are in year three as the NFL quarterback,
nothing that happened in years one and two matter.
right. It is strictly like this is when the decisions are being made about whether you get an extension.
This is where people really start locking in and feeling like they have some idea of what you are.
Jane Daniels had one of the great rookie seasons that we have ever seen.
All he did last year was be injured and now he's on the goddamn clock.
Right? We haven't actually like seen him be bad. He is now on the clock.
Drake May was just the MVP runner up for the whole.
And his team made it to the Super Bowl.
And he is on the clock.
And by the way, I don't think that is a ridiculous proposition to have.
I think it's ridiculous in the sense that he should be their quarterback next year two.
Like you're here now.
You might as well go with it.
Shit, it's year three.
And J.J. McCarthy is third on the depth chart.
His career is basically over.
He's going to get another chance somewhere eventually.
Well, maybe he won't actually.
That's to be fair.
I mean, normally a high draft pick will get another chance.
He'll get on another roster,
but no one's going to bring him in with expectations of being a starter.
That's JJ McCarthy.
I feel like if there was another chance for him,
he would be on that team right now.
Yeah.
They starting Carson Wentz over him.
Yeah.
And I think you can go back.
Part of it is like the confirmed.
Well, not starting, by the way, because he's number two.
He's behind Carson Wentz.
But I think part of it is like the priors.
have something to do with it too. He was kind of a projection based on his college experience.
It's like, he's going to be something. Then he got there and they was like, you're not good and we don't
really like you that much. That's, look, they went and got the we don't like you that much
All Star to start over him. They got a short black dude that people don't like who got through his
year three, but we have just, people have decided stinks. I disagree entirely. But, but,
the decision had been made and they looked at him and were like, yeah, this first round pick,
get him out of here, man. You know why? Because he's bad for vibes. I actually don't think that
Drake May is on the clock. I think this year would have to be really, really bad for Drake May to not,
for it to be a smart decision for them to mess around with his money. Like, I mean, he's shown enough
for you to be like, it's worth locking him up on a long term deal to,
get whatever cost savings we could get, right? I mean. Well, well, hold on. And I ask you that.
I am inclined to agree with you, right? Because I think we know it's just that hard to go find
a quarterback. But C.J. Stroud, I would have made the same exact argument or one could make
the same exact argument or could have made after year three that you're probably not going to
get better than him. Now, granted, part of why C.J. Stroud may not have got locked in is
Muggetta ain't out here taking nobody's discount, right? So maybe, maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Maybe that's the part of it, but Drake May could be in that situation.
I don't know.
I'm with you.
It's this run of them in a row that is really, really worrisome.
And in the ways, in the ways that make you wonder if something has gotten tripped off in the bad way, right?
Because it was, it's, it's seen very, like bad decisions that come from being very unsure.
And that's so like, this is where you can get into trouble with your decision making.
or maybe it'll help you with the decision making with quarterbacks is it's never just
can't say never.
If the quarterback's good and he's playing poorly, it's not just him, right?
Like there's so many other complications.
Mike McDaniel is, or Mike McDonnell, he busting their ass back to back,
coaching their ass in a circle.
It's outrageous.
Like from the protections, eating their protections alive, getting a ton of pressure.
And I mean, that doesn't speak for what's happening in the previous games also.
But in those other games, too, those defense were.
getting after him. And to the point, that's the thing that kills a quarterback. And to your point,
that could get into a quarterback's mind is when you are under siege and you can't trust your
protection, you're going to get a little antsy. And like, I think he pointed to it last night is that
he was getting impatient because the receivers weren't open, the big plays that he, he made a living
off of last year. Like, that's what he was awesome at was deep ball connections to Kishon Booty.
They said, we're going to upgrade from Kishon Booty. Get him out of here. You're going to
hit these deep balls to somewhere else. And he was doing fine, dumping it, dumping it, dumping it.
Then he tried to get aggressive and that pressure started getting there. And then he just kind of
arrived. Yeah. And that last interception where it was quick game and after the quick game went away
instead of quickly throwing it away, he was like, watch disto. Except I don't think he was like watch
disto. He was like, what do I do? What do? It was so many times in that game when that happened.
The other time that jumps out in my mind was the screen passed to the Titan that he decided not to
throw. It's like quarterback 101, you have to either throw the screen or run the ball. So like,
if the screen is covered, throw it at his feet. You get a legal man downfield because you just kind of
panicked because it wasn't there. It's just that sort of stuff that you, you thought Drake May was
passed. And I know he's only in his third year, but last year was balled. I thought he was past
it. And like through the course of the whole game, there's just a number of plays where it's like,
to your point, is something going on? He just seems so uncomfortable, which he hasn't seemed comfortable in a
a long time.
And that's the bad part.
The stretch, you got to get some bums on this schedule again like last year,
man.
That is why every time somebody gets on a college team for scheduling bums to start
the year,
no, baby, we got to get this thing up to speed.
Can you imagine what an NFL schedule would look like if teams got to pick their
old opponents?
Well, it would be a fight over a couple of people at the bottom.
Well, no, it would be a fight.
It'd go the same way than it go in college.
You just throw a little bread.
What they would need is a relegation situation so you can get you a NFL
1-D-A.
You understand what I'm saying?
I always thought that was crazy in college
only for football.
Because it's like actually violent.
Like it's actually dangerous
for somebody's boys. Like seriously.
And y'all like essentially
knowing that you're going to get your ass beat.
Like look, you,
your future insurance salesman.
His future?
NFL All-Pro.
Go out there for
three hours and let him
bust you in your shit so we can get paid.
Yeah, y'all, just because we need, y'all are extras, right?
Like, that's basically what it is.
We pay you because we go sell these tickets and we need somebody else to come play
this home game.
Y'all are cast members.
You are background dancers.
Exactly.
But I'm talking about for the institutions that sign up up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Their background dancers that get hit in the mouth.
Right.
That was what they got, one thing I love with DIA was at Jackson State.
He's like, we ain't going to go play them games.
I'm talking about.
And they're like, we got to fund volleyball.
What are we going to get this volleyball money from?
How are we going to fund this basketball team and our soccer team
by putting your ass out there across from Tristan Worf's?
And watch that man jump out of pool at 350 and run through your face.
Hey, the one time it did lead to something cool in college, though,
was that time that Ohio State scheduled their first game against Buffalo.
And Khalil back was out there destroying them.
It's like, yo, who the fuck is he?
Yeah, there might be one player on some of these teams that's like,
this is the only time that people are going to look at you
and respect your competition.
So maybe they are getting an opportunity.
But most of those teams don't got those guys.
And we almost got the Western Michigan upset.
But I always imagine them Ohio State boys probably wouldn't even watching the tape.
Hell right.
And the coach was like, I'm telling you that number 51 or whatever.
whatever his number was there.
Y'all need to watch out for him.
Yeah, I bet, coach.
I bet.
Next day they ain't know,
that motherfucker got you up against the wall.
He's shaking the change out of your pockets.
It just hit me that it's so much worse now
because Khalil Mack wouldn't still be there.
No.
It's so much worse now.
Like, those guys aren't even there anymore.
Like the one, two guys that you might have,
Ohio State already bought their ass.
It ain't nothing but insurance salesman left.
Yes.
In fact, they got to just.
Stop.
Like, this is the best argument for allowing the power schools to break off into their own
thing because now it actually is unfair.
Like, not unfair simply in the sense that they'll probably win.
It's inhumane at this point.
Safety.
Yeah, like there at least was one or two guys out there that could play on the next level.
Now you show a little glimpse, we got some money for you.
We're going to take him to.
It is the only sport like that.
Like we see in football, the big story.
coming out of the first game
is like major injuries.
I was thinking about, I think I text our group chat.
I know that it's normal.
We become accustomed to it, but there is no
other sport where like one of the core
determining factors is
who's going to be left standing.
Yes. Daviddy, there is
no other sport where
everyone acknowledges that you
can't just go play for fun.
You can't even go play for practice.
The stakes are such that you could only play this game if everything is on the line because otherwise it would be stupid.
I mean, I know the war parallels are a little too much, but like I don't know any other like line of worker endeavor where everybody goes in saying, you know what, we all ain't going to make it out.
Like guaranteed.
Guaranteed some of us ain't going to finish this.
Right?
Like we just say there's no chance that we can get through three hours with all 53 of you.
We say the Lord's Prayer together before we start the game.
Every single game, knowing that the post game, our father, will have fewer guys in it.
Because some of them are going to be getting our damn eyes.
Every time.
Some of them have already left.
Yeah, they're not here.
They're at the hospital.
They sleep.
Some of them
is knocked out cold
and they don't know
why we hear
what we're doing.
So we know that.
We, the prayer is serious.
This is not just a throwaway prayer.
We really praying.
We need some protection.
There was a night one time
where being you were on the phone
because the abelas came to the football game
and it left and the lights went gnawed.
They were stopping at red lights.
You're like, hey,
did we just, did we just?
Did that just happen?
We had to call each other because we were shook.
We were shaking up.
We needed to lead on one another for support.
Brother, did you just see what I just saw?
To this day, I still can't believe he wasn't dead.
Because everything they were doing said dead.
And it was plausible.
By the way, he didn't even die on some football shit.
But it was still plausible.
Somebody could die out.
And it was about to go play again.
It was out there warming up.
It's the only sport.
Like that in like the combat sports where we've like,
you got a plan for if something like that happens
because there's a chance that it happened.
If it happens in any other sport,
we've like, fluke accident.
We blame them.
What was you doing?
Right.
What was you drinking or smoking?
Something happened to you.
Like what were you doing?
You need to get all the drugs.
Exactly.
If somebody passed out, that's what we would think.
When a football game, we like, damn, that's football, man.
I do want to say this about the Patriots before we go.
There's only one person for whom a focus on Drake May is a good thing.
And it's somewhat counterintuitive, right?
Because you have your young quarterback, right?
He came out after three years in school.
You don't want all the attention on him and the idea that what happens to the team
is a direct result of his play.
Now, you want to feel like you can spread it well.
But if they losing, there's one person that's served by they losing being a result
a bad quarterback play,
and it's the biggest distraction of the NFL
off season.
Pippet Mike Brabel.
Yeah, there ain't nobody talking about it now.
No, but we will, brother.
We will.
Yeah, to your point, though,
like if he wins, it's a non-s,
it becomes a funny thing that people point to.
He loses.
It becomes, like, part of the story that we say,
this is what happened.
And also, you know, I was thinking this,
as you were saying,
I knew you were going to Mike Braybill, but also Will Campbell.
Oh, I forgot about him.
It wasn't much better, big dog.
Well, didn't they say he was hurt last year?
Yeah, I'm sure he was.
I know they said it, but yeah, I did not pay close enough attention to know if
things are back to the way they were.
But short arms were still.
Well, I mean, to your point, I assume that you normally don't pay that close attention
to the tackles.
You couldn't avoid them in the Super Bowl.
You could watch this game and not see it.
I've been re-watching it this morning
and it wasn't as much that he was terrible.
Like he struggled a couple times,
which is fine.
But it was also that they were doing unorthodox things.
Like they had him cutting on plays that weren't screens or quick game.
They just,
it just felt like they were trying to protect him, right?
In a way that was like, oh.
That's not a good side.
Right?
Yeah, it's like.
Let me tell you a position that should not require gimmicks.
left
that's like the security guard
at your club
I don't care how good he is at Kung Fu
he ain't supposed to be 5-7
you understand what I'm saying
we don't need no gimmicks out here
just need a big old dude
that look like a wall
right like you try to hit this shit off
before it even gets to anything
you don't even want to find out
if he can fight right
just give people something to think about
if this dude but you come out there
and the security guard all of a sudden
starts like is that big
but he started doing it all kind of wooka-wooka
and everything else, hey, man, this might not be, this might not be it.
Yeah, like, it wasn't like a big problem in the way that it was in the Super Bowl,
but I just was, I've been watching it this morning,
and that's why, like, I saw the way that McDonald was tearing up their protections,
and they were checking based on their formation because they knew their protections.
And I saw the way that they were making sure he had help and not leaving him alone
and doing special type of tactics to make sure they didn't cover.
And, like, the Seahawks' end.
edges are pretty good, but we're not dealing with Miles Garrett.
And keep it in mind again, Patriots are one of those teams that were not as good as their
record. And it was a very interesting postseason that worked out. They played against C.J.
Stroud playing dreadfully, right? The terrible weather game in Denver that somebody had to
win because everybody was losing. They were set for a measure of regression already. I think one
would argue. They went with 13 to 4 last year.
Like, come on, that wasn't going to happen again.
Jared Stiddle was the quarterback.
And that's right. That's what happened
in that game. That's right.
I said you're not going up against Miles
Garrett, which I had forgotten that they did
go up against Miles Garrett last year.
And I believe, direct me
if I'm wrong,
that motherfucker had five sacks.
I think he had five
sacks, and I remember he had like
three pressures that should have been
sacks that were more beautiful than the sacks that he got.
You are correct.
There were five sacks, including what is termed here, quote, a dominant first half strip sack,
unquote.
Yeah, so, I mean, I'm sure he was injured, but.
And by the way, the Browns still lost 32 to 13.
Of course, they think.
How do you get five sacks and you lose by 20?
It's amazing.
Five sacks by one guy, not even a whole team.
Yeah.
I want to throw something here by the Seahawks.
So Sam Darnold suffered a hip injury.
There was a concern during the game that it was broken.
It seems that it is not broken.
Maybe it's a torn labrum.
I don't know.
But basically it doesn't necessarily mean out for the season,
but I do think it probably means out for a long time.
I can't remember where I saw this raise,
but I immediately saw people raising the question
as to whether or not the,
The Seahawks, what quarterback should they go out there and get
because they have lost their starting quarterback.
So I saw, like, throwing out there,
maybe they should go get Kirk Cousins.
And, brother, I don't know about you.
But if I was able to win a Super Bowl with Sam Darnold,
I'd just do this Drew Locke thing.
Shit, we actually might not have to play Sam Donald again.
And what makes you think that they're going to be able to get cousins?
Like, they seem committed to Kirk Cousins being there the whole year.
What would you have to give up to get somebody like that?
Like, that's the thing with most positions, honestly,
is at this point, ain't nobody available that you want.
It's going to cause you.
There's no, like, who was that?
Philadelphia, when they traded for Sam and Bradford that time, right?
There's no just quarterback out here that somebody's just going to be willing to punk the season
and give them up, I don't think, at this point.
I mean, if you can name it, let me know, but I can't think of who that player is.
Especially not better than Drew Locke.
Like, I mean, if you're looking for somebody who has, like, the pedigree, like, yeah,
Drew Locke, somebody who's, at some point,
people thought he was rapping cheesy,
and people thought he was going to be their quarterback.
And it was Denver, right?
Where they thought he was going to be the quarterback of the future.
Like, I don't know, unless you're going to try to pull somebody out of retirement,
which I rewatch that game, the Phillip Rivers.
The Phillip Rivers won, them boys.
And the secondary did not respect him in the least.
They were sitting at five yards just waiting.
Like, go ahead, throw that thing up past 10.
It was outrageous.
So, yeah, there's nobody else out there.
But also I think, and the reason that I find this to be interesting,
Drew Locke becoming a good quarterback is on the board.
And if you need an example of the fact that it could happen,
Sam Bradford, who I still don't think is as good as people are trying to tell me he is,
but I think that actually emboldens the point that I'm trying to make here,
that the growth arc of a quarterback or the development art of a quarterback
is actually very long, right?
It's not, these aren't running backs.
We're running backs are like power pitchers in baseball.
You're probably going to be as good as you are.
Day one is probably as good as you're ever going to be, right?
We watch Matthew Stafford have an inexplicable 17-year growth arc
where he just keeps getting better, keeps getting better, keeps getting better.
Sam Darnold, this is year nine for him.
It took him until year seven to be a passable NFL quarterback,
and he was fortunate enough that people kept putting him in places
where maybe this thing could happen for him.
Gino Smith, we saw what happened after we had completely given up on him.
And, I mean, he still gets treated like he never turned good,
but he became, at points, even, a very good quarterback.
Drew Locke might be just fine, again, for a team that don't really seem to need very much out of them,
which is an amazing, it's amazing, considering how few people on that team whose names I know.
It's like six or seven of them, maybe.
Yeah.
When you have the support that they have and you're asking very little, like, if you can hold the team to 10 points, yeah.
There's a lot of people that can play quarterback in that situation and get turnovers in the red zone and give them a short feel on interceptions.
Like, that's, you're not asking a whole bunch.
And speaking of running backs being good early, like Darien Price looks like he's going to be really good for that team running the ball.
It's, you're not asking a whole bunch.
in like his touchdown pass, it was a short curl to JSN and he took it to the crib.
So like not that Drew Locke didn't make any great throws.
Like he made a couple really good throws, like two, literally a couple, really good throws.
But it's so much support that I think he can, he's serviceable.
And he's a veteran guy who's been around this.
The reason why you have a backup quarterback, he can hold you down for three weeks.
Jackson Smith and Jigba.
I say this all the time.
I saw it.
Did you watch that year in the Rose Bowl?
with him and C.J. Stroud, where he caught like
800 yards worth of passes.
Absolutely.
My impression of both of the boys
have been skewed forever because
that was the first. And then the next time, I feel like
I really watched C.J. Stroud play
was the next year in the playoff where he
was unreal against Georgia.
And Georgia's the NFL defense.
They were at that point. Like literally,
they had like four first rounders
on that defense at the time.
Yeah, he was killing.
Hey, man, Seattle out here.
And I think we talked about this.
It's very rare that a defending Super Bowl champion could run the,
they don't believe in us card.
But I have never seen a team that dominated on its way to winning that Super Bowl,
by the way,
be predicted to be a wildcard team in quite the fashion that the Seattle Seahawks
have been predicted that there will be a wildcard team.
And by the way,
it's a fair thing for people to guess because the Rams got Miles Garrett and they're
bringing Eraddonnell out of mouthballs.
Totally get you.
At the same time,
if you're Seattle, you got to be like, bro, what are you talking?
I was going to say that, that like, yeah, it's crazy.
And if you are the Seahawks, yeah, it feels incredibly disrespectful.
But you know who is looking at this situation, not feeling like it's crazy?
Is that Seattle offensive line?
They're looking up like, they're not out here talking about nobody.
We deserve more respect.
They're like, this is going to be a bad damn problem.
if Aaron Donald pops up.
So like they know.
The thing is, they doing that nobody believes in our stuff.
But like this is a unique situation.
I'm not saying that it is going to work.
But like nobody is just being jerks by not believing in them.
They're just being logical.
They're right.
All I'm saying is this.
I don't know if any defendant's Super Bowl champion is going to be more locked in game after game after game.
Then that one right there.
I'm looking forward to when they play each other, man.
That's going to be.
fun. I don't even know when it is on the calendar, but that is going to be fun. And I don't
think the Rams care nearly as much, excuse me, about this regular season as the rest of us do.
Like, we want to see it. But I think they're walking into this first game kind of like,
we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see what happens. Well, coming up next, we'll talk a little
bit about their Rams of 49ers game. And we got a pretty good week once late. We'll talk about this

All right, we are back with Dominique Foxworth.
And in Australia, we talked about this, the 49ers are going to play against the Rams.
And as we talk about, you never know who's going to be left standing at the end of the year.
We do know what team will probably have the highest percentage.
of people not standing at the end of the year,
and that's the hurt-ass 49ers.
I don't know if they'd be doing it to themselves
and practice everywhere else,
and now they get to go start off against Miles Garrett and them.
Like, I guess it's going to be what?
At least they got Trent Williams, right?
Like, we're going to find out.
Every year we just keep assuming Tripp Williams
is going to be the same, but we're going to find out.
Yeah, I mean, to be fair,
don't tell him I said this, but he started slipping
a little bit last year.
I don't want to upset him.
He seemed like the type that don't take kindly
to disrespect.
I don't mean that's disrespect.
But, like, he wasn't Hall of Fame Trent Williams last year in a way that he's been in the past.
So, like, he's still integral to the offense.
He's still better than most tackles.
But he, he gave up some pressures, which is something that he normally doesn't do.
So if he's a little diminished and everybody else on that team is hurt, Kittle coming back from injuries in record time, like, that can't be something that's going on.
Yeah, at that age.
That can't be something you count on.
They stopped being able to run the ball last year, too, which is crazy.
Like, if you put all that together, they damn near,
they came down to one game away from winning the division,
and their whole defense was hurt.
They couldn't stop the run, and they also couldn't run the ball.
It's like, it's a riddle that I don't know how you saw.
Hey, man, George Kittle is at this age.
I'm in the best shape of my life.
Uh-oh, uh-oh, bad news, bad, bad news.
He's at that place.
No, that, especially considering that they've decided to do this
with the marginally talented quarterback, right?
Regardless of how good you think,
pretty is,
marginally talented.
Like, in a division, by the way,
where you can finish third
and feel pretty good going into the playoffs
because of the other teams
that you're going to have to deal with.
Like, their season,
especially after all the wild shit that's happening, right?
Like, your, your owner is a sex fiend.
You got people out here pretending to play for y'all.
Yeah, yeah.
It's so funny how we add that guy, y'all do the 49ers stuff.
That's your problem.
Oh, forgot about Kyle Shadahan and the shenanigans they tried to run with the accident.
Ooh.
That, that's their best player.
It seems like Kyle Shadhan, the most impactful player,
I hope that his brain wasn't shaking up too much because he's the reason why they can still maintain some level of competitiveness.
And we'll see, like, the defense is healthier now than it was last year.
but it's older too.
Like both say the same coming off injury and they,
same thing with Warner.
Like he's getting up there and he's coming back from injury.
They're relying on a lot of old guys to make this defense work.
Yeah, buddy.
And, you know, Shanahan is so interesting because I think we all agree.
Obviously, very good at his job.
But in that interesting way where we would not say he's flawless at his job, right?
There are things that come up.
But they are the clear number three team in that division.
right now. And it could be like that for a while.
He is very good at specific, like he's very good at specific parts of his job.
It's like sometimes we just throw out that like this coach is a good coach.
It just like blanket thing. But you can isolate the way that he's good in producing
offense. He's very good at that. And I think that overcome some of the other like in game
decision making issues that he's had is this team is going to be ready for just about every game.
But I don't know.
Last year with that, what the Rams did to them defensively,
the second time that they played,
I think they scored on all but like two of the drives.
That's the bigger question to me is,
do they have the firepower with,
oh yeah,
you left out pierceals injured too.
Do they have the firepower?
Yeah, I thought he might have been,
but I couldn't remember it.
It felt like he always hurt,
so I felt like I might have been reaching.
Well, these ain't get shot this time.
That was there.
That was a wild way to start your career.
You can't blame that on the substation
or whatever about that.
Well,
especially because it was,
it was B-Rad.
You know what I'm saying?
Like immediately it raised questions about,
man, how far was you trying to take this?
How far was you going?
Oh, man, to watch, please.
Give him to watch.
Yeah, but I'm saying,
it was totally on the board.
Who you think you messing with, fool?
This team is going to be,
I don't know, I mean,
I think they're going to be third in the division,
but I can't say that I wouldn't be surprised.
I still would be surprised if they, like, overcome.
any other team or any other coach with this team,
I think we're looking at a real high draft pick.
They have a chance to, like, be mediocre to me.
And they even have a chance of winning this first game against the Rams,
but I don't think it's going to hold them off.
Well, also for me, another thing I always wonder, like,
when it comes to Kyle is he has a defensive coordinator,
but Kyle Shanahan is the head coach of the defense.
Like, he's a Tom Landry sort of figure where he is,
his coordinator's job is to run his offense.
Like, he's the offensive mastermind and the defensive mastermind.
And I feel like you might be doing too much, brother.
I mean, they have, I know Mike is around there a lot.
I assume he is.
He was the last few years.
I assume he's still around there a lot,
helping to influence the way that they prepare for these games.
But they started last year to change their defense more than they have in the past
because they normally run pretty static stuff.
But because of the injuries, they were in so much trouble,
they had to get more complicated.
And they bring in what Rahim, I think, is the coach now.
And he's going to run Sims.
I assume that he's going to run simulated pressure.
They're going to marginalize the steep
they're going to have to.
And that I think it'll go a long way
to see how good they could be at the team
because injuries don't pile up
as they always do.
Hey man.
Moving on to the rest of the week one.
I mean,
CJ Stroud, Josh Allen, Buffalo, Houston.
Lucky for CJ Stroud, that's a 1 o'clock kick.
Maybe it would be good for CJ Stroud
if it was a 4 o'clock kick
if you think he's going to be able to make something happen
because there's some reason to have questions
about that Buffalo defense that's in transition
when you go nine years from a defensive head coach
to trying to scheme with Jim Leonard
that is not the same.
And we're not sure if they have the bodies
to run the scheme that they've got in the year
where all my wife friends except for Nick
keep trying to tell me,
I think we're going to get it for Josh.
I think it might finally happen.
Aren't you excited?
I don't see it this year for Josh,
but, you know, I mean,
I didn't see it last year for the Seahawks either.
so anything could happen.
But, like, your point about the defense is a huge one.
And this is as bad as it can get for a place for the bills to start.
Because, like, Texans actually give Josh Allen hell.
They went and got DJ more to help because the Texans just play man coverage.
They don't respect anybody and then get after Josh all game long.
And he'll get some scrambles, but it's not enough to get it done.
So, like, this is a tough place for them to start.
And to your point, the defensive switch, like, I don't make a big deal about Switch.
from 4-3 to 3-4 normally, but if your problem is in the 4-3, you can't stop the run,
you're going to switch over to the 3-4, and you got 4-3 bodies.
And it's going to be tough.
So we'll see what Jim Leonard can do is motion or movement up front, stunts and whatever.
But I don't know.
This is a good place, though, like, because the Texas can't run the ball either, so we'll see.
I saw you and Kravitz and Ben Solac, who I got to be honest with you, man.
I don't think I had heard Ben Solac's voice.
I had just seen him looking like he's 14.
And then I heard him talking like a grown man.
I thought that shit was AI, bro.
I didn't, I didn't think that it was possible that that that was that was, you know.
Was that guy co?
We had to look like talking babies commercial at what?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like it was, it was in that zone.
But the point you guys made about the Houston, Texas defense was funny that people
trying to make the argument that, you know,
the Texas do is complex.
No, it sounds like they like old Miami.
We got, I mean,
and by Miami, I mean hurricanes.
How about we rush four,
drop seven,
and hit people hard?
What's you think, guys?
You think we could do it?
What do you think?
It is,
that is it.
And they've gotten bigger and better
through the draft and through free agency.
Like it's,
they weren't,
they had no weaknesses last year.
And somehow they've gotten a little bit,
better. So yeah, it's nothing too complicated. I think you want to give, especially to have a
defensive minded head coach, you want to be like, oh, he's scheming the shit out of stuff.
Like, nah, it's, it's motivation. It's motivation and violence is what they're doing out there.
It's, uh, we must protect our house no matter where we are at all times. They're trying to
Hey man, I don't think we give D'Amico nearly enough credit because we have forgotten how bad
as a franchise they were. And like, they probably only could hire D'Amico because D'amico
for them and got a wife from Houston.
But otherwise, remember if they was just hiring
any black dude, they could get to take the job
because only a black man would take that job?
I do remember very clearly when they
put David Cully in there for that.
David Cully and then Lovie?
And then Lovie, like,
they was, honestly,
I'm afraid to say who I thought they also
might hire because I think that person might be,
no, he's still here.
Surprise they ain't going to get Romeo Cornell again.
My fault, I forgot. They had already did that.
Yeah, at him.
Yeah, for whatever reason, I thought I was just going to say Hugh Jackson.
Like, that's...
No, no, I think that's the bridge too far.
Yeah, that's why when you said you had to start Googling, I was like, oh, okay.
No, no, no, I had to Google to make sure Romeo wasn't dead.
With Hugh Jackson, the problem is,
Hugh Jackson got too much ego.
They needed a black man that was just happy to get a job.
Yeah.
They are happy that this black man has the job, man,
because this team has been really, really impressive.
They made us all look dumb when we all were like,
why are you moving up in the draft?
I've been saying that Will Edison move.
Because, you know, but the reason was we thought they were going to be terrible.
Yeah.
Right?
Like, we thought they were trading away a top three pick when they did that.
And instead, they made the playoffs.
And he's been amazing.
Right.
And that wasn't a guarantee either.
Oh, of course not.
Like, people were saying that he's good, but, like, he's, like, solid was, like,
the projection.
He's like solid with maybe some upside.
He walked in the league and was like, nah, I'm one of the best.
It's like just that, plain and simple.
And then Daniel Hunter's probably a better pass rusher than he is.
Like technically.
But so.
They got another local.
They got the local connection comes through again.
Yeah.
That's one of those things where and I feel like I've managed to like stop forgetting it.
But when you do this, like,
every day you analyze football,
I think you look more and more
for deeper analysis
and more interesting, intricate, fun, scheme stuff
to, like, expose to people.
But you have to remember
that the only reason why
anybody does any of that shit
is because they can't
whoop the man in front of them.
That's where it starts.
If you can consistently
whoop the man in front of you,
I do nothing, but roll a ball out there.
And that's what they're doing.
Like, I'm not saying that they're not prepared.
Like, they're smart.
They do have some changeups here and there.
But, like, one of the hallmarks of these modern defenses,
and if you watch the Seahawks, it's like,
the safeties are going everywhere.
It's so hard to pick out what they're doing pre-snap.
Everybody's disguising, and it's so confusing.
Like, nah, they line up single high almost every time.
It's either going to be one or three.
We might blitz on third down,
but we all going to whop your ass.
rush four
drop seven
we ain't got
we ain't got to put on all this makeup
we ain't got to
no no no we stacked
we got it like that
pass me them yoga pants
that's all I need
shit in fact
I don't even
I don't even need that
mom jeans watch
you're gonna see it like that too
like damn it don't matter what they put on
and then
I don't want to further this analogy because
and then they get nasty too.
So nasty.
Right.
Trying to hurt people.
They have it.
They got an energy about.
Yes.
Energy.
We go, we're going to get that fine.
That's fine.
We pay.
Yeah.
You remember, was that, wasn't that them who like hit Trevor Lawrence late as hell?
Was that?
Yeah.
We'll pay it.
And what was they, they,
they do with the Arabic name
that put that shoulder on Mahomes that time.
Al-Shahir, right?
Yeah, Al-Shahir, that's right.
Yep. And he was suspended
for like three weeks, apologizing.
Yes. He ain't here going. I mix, I mix
him up with the big swole one that
the 49ers got that Mahomes took down.
Mustafa? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, he ran through him.
Hey, man, that boy, that's a, that's a
fruity Islam motherfucker right there. Like, that
cat right there, he is ready.
If it, if it comes down to the
to the fight, we need to try
I don't know who we is, but somebody might need to try to convert him
because I'll lie, I got a soldier in that one right there.
I've been on defenses with that nasty edge.
I'll have you know, we're upset about the penalty.
We're upset about the money.
There's a lot of debts.
A lot of taps in the locker room.
I thought you were referring to your college defense when you said that
as you went to college with the maniac name, Sean Merriman.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, I've told you a couple of Sean stories.
Oh, yeah.
That guy is, he was really good at football, really explosive.
And sometimes he would do football at the wrong time.
As, yeah, who was that made that joke?
That was a good one.
Football at the wrong time.
All right.
It was Neil Brennan, I think.
That's right.
That's right.
He did say that about sometimes they would do football at the wrong time.
I witnessed that before.
It's like, yeah, it stinks to do football at the wrong time.
But those guys also, they do football all the time.
Yeah, yeah.
And they do it better than most.
It's a lifestyle.
It's not simply a vocation, right?
It's a ethos.
Yeah, if you do what you love, you have to work a day in your life.
There you go.
There you go.
So I got a couple games, like three of the other games to get to this week.
It ain't going to take too much time.
but I do think they are interesting.
One of them is Tampa and Cincinnati
and another is Green Bay and Minnesota.
And I feel like those two games
are low-key hot seat bowls.
Like I feel like out of those four teams,
at least two of them will have new coaches next year,
if not three.
It's possible.
Like I'm really high on Tampa this year.
They have one of the best O-Lines football.
I actually think that if the success
their season is dependent on
on how well they do.
Like I feel confident that they're going to do pretty well.
They paid Mayfield.
And I do think that
speaking of these special guys on defense, I think
Ruby Vane is one of those guys. And then I, Keonti Scott
from Miami, too, who's not a big name guy,
but makes a bunch of plays to add to that
defense. That defense finds something special.
I think that defense. And they got the fake Aaron Donald, right?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're talking about
Cancy.
Cancy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And for those who don't know, he's a short little fire plug who went to Pitt.
Yep.
He's literally a fake Aaron Donald.
And next to him, they got Vivaea, who is the opposite.
Yes.
Enormous.
And, like, you think he's a run stuff because he's built like the old run stuff.
But he's a great pass rusher also.
And Diabee can rush the pass.
I think that's going to be enough to make this defense really something.
And they got a great old line.
So I think they're going to be good.
But the, the Bengals.
Excuse me.
The Bengals, yeah, that's.
Zach Taylor might not make it through the season
if things don't start off well.
Oh, no, don't you worry.
He'll make it through the season.
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, that's fair.
As long as he's getting paid to code 17 games,
he will code 17.
It's not even that they would keep them,
it's that they don't want to get nobody no bump.
You can't make me the head coach
without giving me a bump.
Yeah, he'll make it.
So yeah, you're right.
He won't be fired mid-season
because they're not going to let nobody off easy.
And I think in Green Bay, they got some built-in excuses.
I'm not sure they're going to accept them.
They got some built-in excuses with the injuries and the commissioner exempt list for their running back
and injuries on the defense and injuries on the O line.
I think they have some built-in excuses, but sometimes that does not matter at all.
And I also think Vikings are safe.
I think they blame a lot of that stuff on Quessia doful Mensa, the roster that he put together.
I think they believe COC is one of these offensive guru,
that was being hampered by a Wall Street guy who ain't no ball.
This is not me speaking.
This is what I believe they think.
Yeah, but I'm not, I, I was under the impression that the roster was the coaches
and the staff was the GMs.
Like how the, how the blame or whatever gets doled out is going to be interesting.
And we know, speaking of the complex, Brian Flores, forever defense head coach
is going to be out there just throwing things at people.
Somebody going to hire him, man.
It's going to happen one of these days while he's still suing them.
No, it's not.
No, it's not going to happen and I wouldn't hire him either.
He was so good.
Like, he's been, the further he's gotten away from the dolphins,
the more I appreciate how well he, like, you remember I was coming out saying this team
was tanking.
They ended up winning nine games.
They did.
They did.
He was an awesome coach.
And he said, you know what, this two a guy ain't it.
And then McDonald, or McDaniel or McDaniel,
came in there.
We're like,
oh, two are good.
And then we're like, maybe
Tyreek Hill is awesome.
Maybe that's what happened.
Yeah, I've,
some people are,
and you're the one who says this
as much as anybody else.
Some people just need to be coordinated.
That's true.
Right?
Like, there are other parts of being a head coach
that Brian Floresh struggles with.
And that is people stuff.
His soft game, it's not,
his soft game is insufficient.
on a number of levels
in soft game,
just ain't up to snuff.
That's funny,
because that's like,
he blitzes like twice as much as anybody in football.
And it's like,
man,
do football all the time.
Yeah, that's it.
That's it.
Like, yeah.
Oh, you want to have a conversation?
I'm sitting the heat.
In this conversation, we sit the heat.
We max pressuring right now.
That's all he knows.
Now, the last game we got here, boy,
we're talking about here,
Sunday night.
We got the Giants and the Cal
Cowboys and
my good buddy, Danny
Parkins.
Parko got on TV
and I'll say this, he made a fairly compelling
case for it.
He picked the Giants
to win that entire division.
Malik neighbors?
He had, you know,
Dan is a stat guy, so he had
some stats that made the point,
but I
thought that sounded like drugs.
Yeah. I mean,
they got some,
some really impressive guys on the deep.
I mean, they got rid of Dexter Lawrence,
but even without him,
their front is still really impressive.
They should be bringing heat, right?
Like they got Abdul Carter,
Brian Burns,
and which Ohio State got did they get Reese?
Yeah,
Reese got him.
And they played him off ball,
but he's a hell of a pass rusher too,
but I'm sure they'll blitz him a bunch.
So yeah,
that should be it.
The question is,
is that going to be enough
to compensate for the other shortcomings
that they have in secondary?
We'll see.
But I mean,
Jackson Dard had a good rookie year, but you go back and look at it.
It's a lot of on the ground running the ball type stuff, and we'll see how that works out with him because he likes going to tent.
And it's weird when the thing you do best is also the thing that they want you to stop doing.
So it's hard for me to imagine if they're just going to run away, score by the point.
But neighbors, if neighbors, neighbors was like one of the best receivers in football when he would help.
If that's the neighbors, you get back, then I feel differently about this team.
still don't think they're better than the Eagles or the Cowboys.
I think they sound is so morose in the way that they talked about neighbors all offseason.
I will believe it.
They were talking in ways or me and Ryan was wondering, does he still have a leg?
Like, they, they were talking in ways that made me think he wouldn't play this year.
So I'm kind of like, we'll see.
Dart, they won it for Dart.
I just, I think it's hard not to watch the coverage of Dart and not come to the conclusion.
they wanted for him and they got him a, shall we say, partner in crime.
You understand what I'm saying here, right?
They got a transcendent running back.
The problem is both of them, based on all the available evidence that we have given,
or rather than say both of them, neither of them appears to be very bright.
In a way that I don't see how it doesn't affect the football.
When Jackson Dart's like, I don't understand why they keep sending me to the team.
boy what did you say
you don't understand how to like
oh oh and you keep doing that
dumb shit on top of the fact that you
said some dumb shit which just makes me think
like he might be out there like Brett
Farb like what's a nickel defense I don't understand
right like and maybe he's good
enough that he don't need to know these things
I could be wrong um
and then that scataboo boy
I would not cheat off of his paper
uh he said CTE wasn't real
right
he got up there and did that back.
I just, I would not cheat off of his paper.
That's it.
That's like,
but the giants are not apparently trying to like out thank you with these guys.
And John Harbaugh possibly cooked.
It's on the board.
I mean,
of those two guys,
only one position.
Is it a problem?
Like I don't know that either.
I mean,
we can point to some.
evidence that suggests that maybe they're not the sharpest. Maybe they are. But I don't care
if the running back not, it's the quarterback, man. So like, if that turns out to be a problem
where, like, his offseason decisions became like an issue in the locker room, which like,
sometimes that stuff is overblown. It might ultimately bring the team closer together. But the
idea that he is generating this attention, and this doesn't even get to the on-field decisions.
those are obviously more important,
but the idea that he's generating that attention
when you are like tasked with being that
that like adult in the room as the quarterback
and then you're making these decisions on the field also.
Like that is concerning for the long time future
of Jackson's art as a big level quarterback.
I admit I feel bad.
After watching Scatibu do that backflip,
I've been waiting for like six weeks to just get out here
and just say something about that dumb shit.
Like I apologize for even like talking about him like that
because I don't know.
Maybe he's some kind of savant.
But I do feel like that is a, that is, that's a,
those are two dudes that run through a wall for you and somebody'd be like,
but there's a door right there.
Now you got to.
Yeah, yeah.
All you had to do was, was like it used to be in Rasteland
when they had the steel cage match and Hulk Hogan would always try to be like a G
and climb over the top of the cage and the bad guys would always be trying to just get
to the door.
It's a door right there.
You can just walk out.
I know it seems crazy, but, you know, that's your option.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys, are they good?
I feel like they're good.
I mean, the Tyler Smith injury is going to hurt their running attack,
but yeah, we just need proof of concept.
Like, they got all the pieces that you need.
And we got the proof of concept of the offense, really just defense.
And yeah, if their defense is, and I feel like we said this ad nauseum,
it's like they don't have to be great,
but like they have the potential to be actually,
good defense. But if the offense returns, they just got to be like, okay on defense because last year,
they were awful. Yeah, like, they might be good. And Dak is the quarterback that everyone says
is no longer in the league anymore. Like this guy who's kind of like the opposite, like he's a kind
of genius level football guy that sees everything and consistently makes the best decisions and
also has the arm strength of rip it wants to stay in the pocket. Like he's, he's that guy. Now, I'm sure
anyone's listeners will bring up the playoffs and that's another conversation.
But in the regular season, he's as good as anybody at that stuff.
And they got George Pickens on a proving one more again.
Like, I feel like Tampa Bay messed up with Baker Mayfield.
It is cranky ass out there with something to prove again.
Y'all out here validating him.
Nah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, show me, little man.
Yeah, the Baker chip on his shoulder thing.
Yeah, I'm with you.
Um, but man, again, you don't have any other option.
I know.
I understand why they did it that way.
I'm just saying if y'all was really all in on this year, you just taught bad to
Baker all the time.
I would never say nothing nice to Baker if I was his coach.
You don't appreciate that.
Yeah.
You don't respond to that at?
I wonder, yeah.
The picket thing is people made the argument that like keeping him on this franchise tag
situation is like to your point, like prove it again is hungry or whatever.
Like, I, assuming, and you help to remind me and teach me this is like, as an economist,
it's like, yeah, you can predict the actions of a big group.
Individuals, man, like, just this assumption that like, oh, yeah, we're going to get him hungry
again.
He's going to do just like last year.
Like, that really ain't true necessarily.
Like, maybe I hope so.
And, like, people would argue that the reason why he hadn't had success before he got
to Dallas was because he hadn't had a quarterback to.
get him the ball, which that's as possible as anything.
But also, like, thinking that you are going to press the right button
and get the result that you expect, I think that.
I think with George picking,
Allo is Poscibly.
Yeah.
To do it's in La Plancha.
It's all there.
Anything can happen.
That week last year where people said he was loafing,
he snapped on everybody.
He was fighting with the media and everything.
Cowboys, every day.
just got to like, man, just throw the ball, dog.
You know what the guy, let me tell you what I bet George Pickens does for the Cowboys,
though.
I bet he'd be making them appreciate C.D.
Lamb.
C.D.
Lam is like, what if George Pickens, but you ain't got to worry about him.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, people made the argument that maybe they'll make a different decision at the end of this year
because Pickens is younger and healthier than C.D. Lamb, I, like you, I assume this
what you would say is like, I don't think they're going to see the city and see where that take.
Look, I don't know what is going on with George Pickens that they ain't told us.
But I would not be surprised if it is something.
That's all I'm saying.
I want George Pickens and J-Mo on the same team.
That's what I want.
So you raise a very interesting question for somebody like me,
fan of America's team, the Detroit Lions.
if you told me that that was on the board, right?
If they were like, yo, I'll get Ammon Ross St. Brown out of there for George Pickens
and to put him with J-Mo, that would be a, what you're asking me is what is my faith level in Dan O
and his ability to keep it going?
Because Dando already couldn't stop J-Mo from humping the ground in the playoffs.
Couldn't stop J-mo from sending bets at the facility.
What was that other, oh, it was that other dumps for J-M-O-J-M-M-O.
The shorts.
Jaymo do that interception.
Oh, yeah.
I was talking about the shorts.
Where he bought the house and had on.
You did.
That's right.
I forgot what they said, but I forgot.
Oh, my God.
George Pickus,
George Pickens doesn't do that.
Like, George Pickens does things that don't make sense.
But J-Mo does things that are outright, dumb.
Just flat-out dumb.
But, man, if you had to deal with J-Mo and George Pickens at the same time,
They might balance each other.
Oh, you never know.
You don't know how this chemistry work.
He put them in there and they might be just mellow.
J-mo, George Pickens, with J-Mir Gibbs in the backfield?
It'd be explosive.
Oh, you don't know.
They'll tell you.
Hey, J-M-O-Jorch-Pichens, that's exactly what they would be.
Explosive.
Did you see the clip from the Amon Rai and the St. Brown podcast
where they were talking to your coach, Dan,
about how he put out a cigarette on Tony Romo's hand.
You ain't seen this one, huh?
No.
So they were talking to him,
and apparently Tony Romo was on part of my take,
and he said that when he was a rookie,
that he was at a bar,
and everyone really liked Tony,
and Dan called him over at the bar
and just put out a cigarette on the back of his hand.
Man, it's good to be white, dog.
It's like, you're not becoming a coach
after being a dude that does that.
And he's not this kind of coach.
And he said that he,
and then Amman Ra very wisely was like,
that ain't the first time you did that.
Like, no one does that once.
And he was like, yeah, I would do that to guys.
And then he defended himself by saying,
but I do it to myself too.
So I say that to say that,
George Pickens
J. Mo, like
they might be
great head coaches one day.
That shit, all I'm saying is,
that shit's just as dumb as anything that they've done.
It is, it is, it is.
Dumber.
And now I'm saying,
guys, I don't know if we can have all these guys,
you know, you got one knucklehead on the team,
but you can't have two.
I don't know if the Lions can have two anymore
because Dan is one.
Yeah, he's a,
he's a mature knucklehead,
but it's still in him.
And he's not drinking.
as much coffee. Wasn't he drinking like two gallons
of coffee a day or something?
Try to have a heart attack.
That's going to be such a wild team, man.
Every game is going to be like 50 to 48.
No defense.
Every single game.
They are just going to light this thing up.
That is,
Dominique Fosworth.
We made it to week one, brother.

America's team update presented by prize picks.
Detroit, they're taking on New Orleans this upcoming Sunday.
What are you expecting from your team this season?
All right.
So this is going to be an interesting matchup, as it is my Detroit team against Ryan's
New Orleans team.
Let me tell you this about Detroit this year.
More.
Anytime it comes up and you got a choice, more.
They're going to score a gazillion points, and so is the other team.
Maybe the only place you go less is in.
rushing for the other team because I don't know why the other team would ever run the ball
because you'll be able to throw it on Detroit this year. Goodness gracious. Ladies and gentlemen,
