The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Hedfitts. I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig
Horlebeck and today we are going over. What episodes today are? My guys. My guys.
That's a great intro because we're recording this on Monday, a topper, because there's so much
news over the weekend, but we actually recorded this the My Guys episode on Friday.
So there's a few days ago. So if anything's happened between now and that, I don't think any crazy
news changed what we talk about later this episode.
But so we're going to go through a bunch of news that just broke over the weekend,
really in the last 24 hours.
But then we're going to get to our favorite players of the entire season.
So that's going to be awesome.
Yeah.
And then we went on the Bill Simmons podcast on Sunday night.
That is out right now.
We did a 90-minute megapod fantasy preview where we kind of touch on some of our favorite
guys, but then we get into a bunch of other fun categories.
So it's kind of a preview of who our favorite guys are that you'll hear later in the show.
And then I told my parents, I was like,
Hey, so I went on Bill's show and then Adam Sandler is also on the show.
My dad's like, you did a podcast with Adam Sandler?
I'm like, no, he comes on after us.
Like, we're not the same episode.
You don't have to explain that, Hyfitz.
We did a podcast with Adam Sandler.
With Adam Sandler.
I also have done a podcast with Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
That's cool.
That was what Bill had him on his show.
I was pretty stoked.
A few weeks ago, my name was in a BS podcast title with Steph Curry.
And I was like, that's kind of all I need in my life.
Yeah.
If so facto, we're.
You're on a pod with it.
It's so fact, though.
Yeah.
All right, so check those out.
Okay.
First of all, before we get to our guys, so CD Lamb has actually signed a contract extension
with the Dallas Cowboys.
And again, the news just came out.
So Adam Schaefter, should I just, I'll just do the Schaefter read.
Quote verbatim from Schaefter's Twitter.
ESPN sources colon.
Cowboys and all pro wide receiver CD Lamb reached agreement today.
Just say agreed.
He loves that.
Today on a record for a year, $136 million deal that now makes CD the second highest paid
non-quarterback in NFL history.
after Justin Jefferson, he didn't write that, but that's who it is.
The deal includes a $38 million signing bonus, the largest ever given to a wide receiver.
What a great agent tweet.
Yes.
So I, someone Andrew Brand, he used to run the Packers forever ago, tweeted classic Cowboys,
which is wait as long as possible and then just pay at the top of the market, which is kind of just exactly what happened.
They don't accomplish nothing.
They didn't save anything.
They're like, you know, he's not as good as Justin Jefferson.
So they gave him like a few million dollars less than Justin Jefferson called it a deal,
which is probably exactly what Citi Lips.
People wanted the whole time.
And I don't really know why they went through all this, right?
Yeah, and he missed training camp for the last month.
Yeah.
Maybe that was actually the goal.
He just didn't want to go to training camp.
The Brett Favre pretending to retire to just skip two days for a month.
Yeah.
We're like following him on a private plane as he goes to training camp.
I'll never forget that.
Like ESPN running.
The helicopter.
Here's Brett Favre on a tarmac going to a private plane to come to whatever camp he's going to this time.
I don't know. Man, don't miss that.
Part of me is like this is always more complicated than it seems.
And then you burrow tunnel all the way through that.
And you're like, actually, Jerry Jones just likes doing stuff, man.
Because again, Jerry, a month older than Joe Biden gave this incredible quote to Clarence Hill.
I like that.
We'll just say that forever.
A month older than Joe Biden.
Jerry Jones.
Yeah.
Did you guys see this quote?
No.
Oh, wait, no.
I deleted by actually.
Is it about leaves falling?
No, that one was about, yeah.
So Clarence Hill has been covered.
in the Cowboys Forever. Ask Jerry basically,
why don't you hire someone to do this stuff
for you? Which is pretty good question, right?
I mean, fair. Too busy winning.
Too busy winning. 12 games.
Jerry says, I've done it all.
So I have an ordinate
amount of confidence that fuck, if anybody
can figure out how to get this shit done,
I can figure out how to get it done.
I've been there every which way from Sunday
and I've busted my ass a bunch,
a bunch, and there's nobody living
that's out cutting and shooting that can't give you
a bunch of times they busted their ass.
So hell no, there's nobody that could fucking come in here and do all the contracts and be a GM any better than I can.
There's so many people that could come in and do the contracts and be a GM better than he is.
He's getting kind of defensive.
You think?
He also continued.
I fucking have had hundreds of bad days.
I'm emotional about it sometimes.
Well, running this thing, that's who I want to make the last call.
Now, when I can't fucking think when I'm old and I can't even do it, but I'm a long way from not being able to do it too.
I can't even read the whole quote.
And another thing, don't put that I'm too old in the newspaper.
This is like classic rich old guy getting defensive because everybody thinks he's losing it
and he desperately needs to stay relevant and doesn't want to just hand this off to somebody else.
Oh my God.
It's honestly just absolutely.
Did he say I have the ordinate amount of confidence?
Yes.
And ordinate.
Yeah, I believe that's what he said.
Craig, I actually literally Googled that while you were talking.
It's a word.
Ordinate.
I know, yeah.
the word ordinate. That's just a very odd used
the word there. Jerry's still flexing on his
vocab word of the day. I'm going to say inordinate
because it just sounds better.
Yeah, so, but the Cowboys, I
do just want to mention. So again, this is on one
hand really funny. On the other hand, if you're a Cowboys fan,
I forget that there are real Cowboys fans. And I actually
I do feel bad for them, which I think is
the ultimate disrespect. You forget that there are Cowboys fans?
No, because a lot of they're fake, but then there's actual
real foot Cowboys fans. They're everywhere. What are you
talking about? No, I think the part. One of them is
on Bill's podcast every single week
for the entire season. What I mean, what I
They're the most around fan base ever.
I don't forget they exist.
They're in the most states probably in America.
I think the Cowboys fan diaspora.
Yeah.
I think I forget that I actually feel bad for them.
Like I forget.
I'm a Giants fan.
I don't think there's anything more insulting at Cowboys fans could hear.
I actually feel bad for Dallas fans that this guy runs their team.
You just triggered a million people right now.
I know.
I feel like if Sal heard that Giants fans feel bad for you, like that's the most insulting.
You know that meme?
You know the meme of the guy ripping off his headphones?
Yeah.
So many people did that.
Like, yeah.
But they still have to do.
And again, before this contract, Dallas was dead last in cash spending under this season.
A shade over $200 million.
Dead last among all teams in spending cash.
Obviously, that's going to go up a little bit now, but not all the way.
The Eagles, for example, are tied for first and they're at $350, basically.
So that's like, you know, 50% more cash being spent.
And they're both trying to win the same division title.
So we'll see.
But they still have to get the DAC deal.
And just a reminder, because I know it's being talked about a lot.
it really is almost underplayed now.
If they don't get a deal done with Dak Prescott this season,
Dak Prescott will be a free agent.
No franchise tag, nothing.
Dak Prescott can walk away if he chooses the Cowboys do not have any choice in the matter
if they don't get this Dak Prescott deal done.
So while the CD-LAM thing is like, nice they got him in,
they, if the, like, literally it's the biggest,
mistake in the history of contracts in the free agency era,
which the Cowboys started by signed Dan Sanders like 30 years ago.
Like the biggest free agency mistake.
would be letting Dak walk for nothing.
So, like, this is still a lot to ask to get done and down.
Do you think this reminds me, do you think they went into this preseason hoping
Trey Lance would, like, look really good?
And then that would, like, give them a bunch of leverage over Dak.
And then Trey Lance in preseason week three throws five picks.
I love when teams allow one quarterback to play the entire preseason game.
It's like my favorite thing.
Yeah, yeah.
He threw the ball 49 times.
That's amazing.
49 times five picks and then like 90 rushing.
90 rush touchdowns.
Is such a Madden stat line or like a college football?
You're like, you keep throwing.
You're like, oh, I'm just going to do it out.
Yeah, this is the fantasy dream right here.
You don't want that running your actual team, though.
Again, DAC, just way more leverage that he even had like a month ago.
Dak would be a great stealer.
Just want to put that out there.
Oh, yeah.
Honestly, Craig.
Yeah.
Honestly, it's good idea.
It's lining up.
At least they would appreciate him.
Keep Jerry senile.
All right.
Well, let's get to some more of the preseason action.
You guys mentioned it.
This preseason winners and loser segment is brought to you by Yahoo!
fantasy football. Why do we play fantasy? It's to have fun, baby. It's to watch Tray Lance do five
interceptions at a game, right? That's exactly why, yes. No, we play to win. I'm like Jerry,
who just kind of plays to play. We play to win and Yahoo Fantasy football you can win in your league
and someone will win $1 million. All you have to do is play in a private Yahoo Fantasy League.
And enter the sweepstakes by September 5th. Enter now at yahusports.com slash fantasy. We love Yahoo,
right, Craig? It's the best. I have two Yahoo drafts coming up.
week. I can't wait. I love the live draft user interface that they have. It's the best.
Been using Yahoo for my entire life since I was like 14 years old. I've been using Yahoo.
So as we mentioned, Jerry Jones, kind of a loser from this weekend.
Bill Lans probably loser. You're just saying he's a loser.
Oh, no, Jerry Jones is a winner. In real life, let's be real. Jerry Jones overall, definitely has one.
He's done well for himself. He's done pretty good. Yeah.
he's a winner.
But like this weekend he's a loser.
Anytime you have to justify me,
you know why I'm in charge?
Because I'm,
no one can do it better than me, baby.
Surrounded by hundreds of yes men.
Yeah,
everyone's just nodding.
Of course.
I just started watching Veep.
The daughter yells at Veep.
And she's just like, all these people,
none of them ever say no to you.
She's like, guys, you say no to me, right?
And they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Next, the other, so the winners and losers,
Jacobi Percet, loser, once again,
Jacobi Percet is supposed to start over another quarterback
and then gets injured before that happens.
So Jacobi Percet playing in the last preseason game,
not just of the Patriot season,
but the overall last preseason game period.
We're recording this Monday.
He got hurt on Sunday night.
I believe it was, he was only supposed to be in for a drive or two,
ended up getting pummeled on basically a play
where the Patriots offensive line didn't block the defensive end.
And so Jacoby Brissette got hurt.
And then Drake May came in, was really good.
And then this started like a whole fiasco?
Fiasco.
Fiasco.
You said it right the first time.
Fiasco.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Gerard Mayo, the Patriots head coach, had a whole thing where he said, quote,
Drake has outplayed Jacoby, but then kind of went back on it and it's been a whole firestorm.
So, D.K., I'm curious what you think here.
I feel like, one, ironically, everyone was right because the line coming into this was
Drake Mae is probably going to be really good,
but if he plays the first month, he's going to get killed.
And then Jacoby Brissette didn't even make it to the regular season
before the offensive line almost got Jacoby Brissette killed.
And I'm curious, D.K., we'll get to what Gerard Mayo said in a second.
What would you do in this situation where Drake Mae is clearly better?
But like, at what point would you feel confident?
Like, they play the Niners in week four.
I think playing Drake Me before.
That's crazy.
But like, this offensive line in New England,
I don't think it's just the worst in the league.
It might be the worst we've seen in a couple seasons from any team.
Yeah.
What do you do if you're...
If I'm actually in charge of the Patriots here,
I probably just play Brissette,
which is why I think...
Which is why I think Mayo said what he said,
which is basically like, look,
he's been out playing him,
but there are other things to consider here,
which is our offensive line sucks.
And I honestly, you cannot...
That doesn't even do it justice,
how bad their offensive line was.
Every single good play the Patriots made in this game
was like a penalty on the offensive line
and they brought it back.
There was incredible amount of,
holding penalties.
I think the left tackle
had three false starts.
I think there were eight flags.
It was just like it was actually pure chaos.
I've never seen such a bad offensive line performance.
Like right in a row is like bang, bang, bang, bang, bang,
everything the offensive line was doing was completely fucked.
So with that in mind, like if this offensive line was just average,
I would be like, they got to start May.
He'll go out there.
He'll take his lumps, but he'll be learning.
With this offensive line, I'm just like, I don't know.
Like this is actually
It's like you're pressing your luck on
You know getting him hurt getting him
Like having like the thing like the David car thing where he just gets sacks so much
He just basically loses his mind
And he can't go out and play football like a like a normal quarterback
Because he's just basically seeing ghost or he's like really too afraid that he's going to get hit every snap
So it is a I think it's a difficult situation
I probably would sit him until you know there's a good break in the schedule where you get some like easier defenses and
and maybe they can figure out something with the offensive line.
Because as it is right now, the offensive line stinks.
It's terrible.
Is it that difficult?
I don't really see the upside.
If you look at Drake May's career,
are we going to look back on 2024 and say,
man, thank God Gerard Mayo played him to start the season.
That's why he ended up becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Like, let this guy come in week eight or week nine,
let him learn, sit, watch, you know, digest.
Like, there's no reason why we need to throw him out there.
Now, I actually don't see any upside at all.
and I think this is a really easy decision.
And I think that's the smart thing.
We'll see how, again, it's Monday.
We don't really know this extent of how healthy Jacoby percent is right now.
But again, so Drod Mayo admitted that Drake had outplayed him, which is funny because
it's the truth, but that's bad.
And so Patriots and Coach John Mayo, our own Bill Simmons tweeted today, Mayo doesn't seem
to understand how press conferences work.
There's zero upside to actually admitting out loud that Maya's outplayed Brissette so far.
So now what?
You're going to start a rookie quarterback in week one behind the worst Pat's O-line since the
Plunkett era franchises a mess, end quote.
And Craig, I wanted to ask you, do you think that this, and like, Bill's right.
But overall, do you think this is why Bill Belichick didn't answer a question for 20 years?
Same with Greg Popovich.
There's an art to saying something that doesn't actually say anything.
And more and more now, you know, you just need to, it's like Jim Harbaugh talking about players getting injured.
He just says they're going through something right now.
I'm not qualified to talk about their medical history.
Always just obfuscate.
You know how I told you guys I could be a GM?
I could never be a coach.
I could do press conferences for coaches.
I think I would be the best at it.
Like, I couldn't be the coach, but I could talk for the coach on the mic,
and I could deflect anything like I had a nutshell.
You would be like do press conference PR essentially.
Yeah, I could just stand there and answer the questions.
Like I could be in the mic just telling him answers.
Like it was, I don't know.
I feel like this is like not that hard though.
It's like just say, look, we got a plan in place.
We're going to stick with it.
Yeah.
And that's it.
We're looking at the long term goal.
We're looking at the long term here with Drake May.
we want him to, you know, take his time, come in, develop him in practice.
I think, yeah.
And honestly, like, you know, as I'm thinking about it, Craig, like, you're right.
It is kind of an easy decision, I feel like, because despite looking really exciting
and making some really exciting throws, I do think, like, with Drake May, like, the footwork stuff,
he's got to, like, clean it up a little bit.
There were some issues they were having with the snap.
Like, there's just all these rookie things where it just benefit him to take a little time
and just, like, get more reps in practice, you know what I mean?
Unless you have, like, a Caleb.
Williams level supporting cast around you and the team's supposed to be good.
I don't really see the need to play your rookie quarterback immediately if the team is not ready for you.
The guy, sorry, I'm blanking on the defensive tackle.
He had blood clots.
Christian Barmore.
Yeah, Christian Barmore.
He's one of their best defensive players.
Like, he might not play this year.
Matt Judon went to the Falcons.
They traded away because of contract issues.
So they're sort of like telling us.
It's like they're punting on the season.
You know what I mean?
Which is not going to be.
They just not play Drake May the whole year.
You know what two teams punted?
on two seasons and then became good.
The Lions and Texans.
Like, honestly, it's a good idea.
Like, do that.
Add a bunch of good players.
Next up here we got,
so Nick Chubb is probably going to start the season
in the physically unable to perform list,
which honestly makes sense.
I mean, after the way his knee would shredded it in Pittsburgh.
I was physically unable to perform after watching the injury.
You're just thinking about it.
He can't really perform.
That's right.
In many ways.
Perform.
The way he said perform.
Perform.
But the, so Jerome Ford.
Yeah, so I think Jerome Ford,
the Brown's running back.
I think he's way stock up.
I'm very,
I think Jerem Ford just,
there hasn't been a proper correction,
but I would say,
way stock up on Jerome 40s,
a sleeper of mine.
And then,
so lastly,
I don't know if this was winners or losers.
We have to vote on this.
11 or 12,
like basically a dozen Chargers,
players and alumni
and their family members,
we're stuck in an elevator
in Dallas this weekend.
I don't know if you saw this.
D.K., Craig,
did you see this?
I did see it.
It was a just,
I don't know exactly it was in.
Justin Herbert was in the elevator.
so was Dan Fouts, who's a legendary charger.
Sorry, not hit Dan Fouts.
It was Dan Fouts' wife and Dan Fouts' son.
And then like 10 other people, all charges were like in the elevator.
And then they were there for hours.
And then Jim Harbaugh gave a quote,
you get in those situations and it's a test of wills.
I was proud of each of the guys and the two women that were on that elevator.
That's a win.
You feel good about yourself.
You were challenged.
It was a test of will.
You pull it down or you pull it in.
Did Harba orchestrate this whole thing?
No, he did it.
Hyvitz.
You missed the best quote that Harba.
Harba was jealous that he wasn't stuck in the elevator.
Yeah, he said I went because the fire department pulled him out.
He says, that's a shared experience that brought them closer together.
I just missed it.
Being on that elevator, it was like, man, I wish I could have been there with those guys.
That's so amazing.
He wishes he was stuck on an elevator.
That was essentially the Michael Scott.
Like, I love inside jokes.
I'd love to be a part of him one day.
He's like, man, I wish I could have been in there with those guys.
Funding.
Dude,
is this somehow like an elaborate Mr. Beast thing?
Like,
is this the next Mr.
Beast video?
Who can,
who can survive in the elevator
of the longest?
I meant to,
so I meant to ask you guys.
And this is,
we're going to do this on the fly.
No preparation.
I want to do a quick draft right now.
Okay.
Quarterbacks you want to get stuck in an elevator with.
Oh.
Obviously last,
they're like Russell Wilson,
Aaron Rogers.
Aaron Rogers,
honestly,
Rogers might have some interesting stuff to say.
I know that's not,
I'm not going to believe it,
but it's like,
at least don't keep us occupied.
He won't be boring, yeah.
Russell Wilson would be by far the worst.
Absolutely.
Minchew would be fun.
Russell Wilson would be doing in the elevator the hardball thing.
Guys, what an opportunity this is to bond.
Yeah, and it's like, all right, buddy.
Jeez.
Burrow would be shaving his head.
That'd be cool.
Burrow would be fine.
Burrow would be fun.
Lamar?
I feel like Lamar would be.
No, no, Lamar would get the shits.
Yeah, he'd have a stomach thing.
You'd have to go to the bathroom.
That's actually maybe the worst.
Yeah.
Anthony Richardson's like literally too big.
You need like somebody.
Kyler Murray.
would be great.
We're just talking physical space that he takes up.
Yeah.
I don't want to shame them,
but why were 12 football players in an elevator?
I feel like it was their fault.
Kyler Murray would probably have like a like a game boy on him.
He's also small.
You play video games with him.
He doesn't take up a lot of room.
Throw him up in your shoulders.
Throw him in the ceiling.
Like,
Kyler, figure out what's going on.
He could throw me up on his shoulders, maybe.
Which quarterback in the NFL would you guys trust the most to figure out a solution to this whole thing?
Herbert's pretty smart.
Herbert's pretty smart.
Yeah, he's like, yeah, he's like an engineer on his,
in his spare time or something.
Could I just call Andrew Luck?
I feel like he would know.
Josh Dobbs, Nass Engineer.
I feel like my homes.
Where is Mahomes on this list?
Is he number one?
Is he?
I don't know if I trust Mahomes
to get me out of an elevator.
Is Mahomes that good of a hang?
I don't know.
I don't know.
The people he surround.
Anything, I really respect Mahomes
for having a pretty chaotic personal life
and it just seemed to not affect his job.
Yeah, he does.
I feel, I trust Josh Allen to get me out of that.
By force.
Josh Allen would lower his shoulder.
Just because he's over.
Just because of his audits.
as a person.
Sure.
He's going to like climb the elevator like, you know, wires up the shaft or whatever.
Like you remember when I compared Josh Allen to Lieutenant Spears from from Band of Brothers
where he just like runs across the battlefield to the other side?
I feel like Josh Allen would do something superhuman and just like everyone would be like,
what the fuck is he doing?
And then he comes back.
He like prized the door open later.

All right.
Let's get to our top targets, favorite players.
My guys.
What are we calling this?
My guys.
My guys.
Our guys are my guys?
Our guys. Our guys. I like that.
Should we decide whether someone
brings like a my guy and then we vote
whether it's an our guy or just a your guy?
Look, our guy is definitely not
the SEO play. That should probably
be a top targets or a favorite players.
But internally, once you've
already clicked, it's our guys.
Yeah, at that point. Yeah.
We should just type in like, every episode should just be called
like Sidney-Sweeney new
Instagram and then it's actually just about
like, you know.
Yeah, because everybody wants to listen to a podcast.
titled Sydney Sweeney new Instagram.
Maybe we've got some new information on it, Craig.
You never know.
Exactly. All right.
Let's get to it, though.
So we're going to go position by position.
We're just going to start with receivers, running backs,
quarterbacks, tight ends.
There's no defense or kickers.
Don't even take them if you don't have to.
Only ESPN makes you draft them.
So we're going to go just position by position.
These are our favorite players.
These aren't necessarily sleepers.
These are guys ranked all over the board that generally speaking,
we're higher on or we believe in a lot.
And I just either have a ton upside or whatever.
So Craig,
Why don't you just bat first here?
Give us your guy at receiver this year.
Rishie Rice, I think, is the biggest steal in fantasy drafts right now.
I like this one.
Receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Correct.
Sorry, receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs.
This is the second year, Rishie Rice.
The reason why I think he has definitely fallen in a lot of ADPs,
he's going around 50, 60, 70 in drafts right now is obviously he's facing some potential
legal issues.
He's facing eight felony charges because of this car accident.
But without getting into the nitty-gritty,
it doesn't look like he's going to be suspended this year.
He very well may be next year,
but his court dates not until December 9th.
The NFL's not getting involved
until the legal issues have ended.
So I really don't feel like he is going to be suspended this season.
And if that's the case,
this guy was one of the best receivers in fantasy
over the last half of the season.
And he was just a rookie.
He was the wide receiver 9 over the last six weeks of the season.
He basically doubled Travis Kelsey over that stretch,
which is pretty crazy.
Final six weeks of the season,
he was averaging 15 a game.
Travis Kelsey was averaging
eight. He had a 27% target share. These are like elite numbers. He really did kind of have an all-time
rookie season that flew under the radar. At least when I say all-time, I mean more like kind of
underlying nerd statistic-wise. You know, his like yards per route run was the seventh best
of any rookie over the last 10 years. And he does always, I mean, he was genuinely incredible.
And a lot of it is because they kind of, he's almost like the Debo Samuel of the Chiefs. He has a
really low A-DOT. They basically throw him the ball around the line of scrimmage,
and he gets all yards after the catch. The only other wide receivers with more yards after
the catch than rookie Rishi Rice last year was C.D. Lamb and Amonarov St. Brown. And then it was
Rishie Rice. So it's like, look, Hollywood Brown separated his shoulder, not super healthy.
Xavier Worthy weighs 20 pounds less than me. And you have 35-year-old Travis Kelsey,
who they're probably keeping on ice as much as possible to get to the playoffs.
Rishie Rice is like the guy for Patrick Bomes.
Craig, I stumbled upon this stat the other day, and according to fantasy points tracking,
he had, I think, the highest among all receivers with 50 targets, the highest catch rate in terms of catchable target rate.
So basically, he's the antithesis of like a Garrett Wilson where it's like, oh, God, please get it near him and let him catch it.
He has the best fucking attorneys.
Hopefully he does legally.
Yeah.
Hopefully his attorneys are as good as Mahomes is attorney.
Yeah.
But essentially, yeah, like he's catching the vast, vast majority of.
his targets, which is great because, you know, the efficiency, even if he's not getting targeted
deep down the field, at least we know in a half-p-r and PBR and PBR, like, there's a real floor
here with him. And, you know, going into this next year, he could just emerge as the number one
guy in this offense. We could see his role completely evolved. I mean, he did. He did over the last
six weeks of last season. Right. Right. So there's a huge disparity, too, in Rishi-Raises'
ranking. So ESPN has him 69th. Yalu has him 48th. That's a pretty big difference. We have him
45th. And frankly, it's because when a lot of rankings first came out, Rishi Rice,
like, their thought, there was a thought he could be suspended. And he's not almost probably
definitely not going to be suspended for this season. And so sometimes they just don't get
properly updated by the platforms. And this is good. Like, I'm going to try to throughout this
episode note, like, where I think there's like platform gaps, whether you're on ESPN or Yahoo or
whatever, which is, I think most drafts are on those are sleeper app nowadays. That's a good, mark that
down. If you're in ESPN, Rishi Rice is 70th, and that's basically like a when they thought he'd
be suspended ranking. So I think, I think this is right, Craig, and I think Rishie Rice is
on the shortlist of guys that entering your draft, you actually should like yellow highlighter.
100%. He's uniquely built in that past catching group. You know, like if you're building a
receiving unit to be like a basketball team, like he is the power forward of that group.
They got like Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy are two point guard guys. And then you got
you got Travis Kelsey.
who is just like his own deal.
But yeah, I think he's going to have a massive, massive role in this often.
So I really like that one.
All right.
So take out the highlighter for Rishi Rice.
D.K., give us top target at receiver for this year.
Favorite player, your guy, whatever.
I just mentioned this fella, Garrett Wilson of the Jets,
who has a new quarterback, very importantly,
Aaron Rogers coming in.
And I think this is going to be a huge, huge difference for Garrett Wilson,
who, by the way, fifth of the NFL in target rate last year,
fourth in targets, but only 13th in catches.
So many uncatchable targets.
It's so many just awful throws in his direction, so frustrating, just leading him into these massive hits.
I think this is going to change dramatically this season with Aaron Rogers.
It sounds like based on everything we're hearing in training camp, he's got a great connection with Aaron Rogers.
I think Rogers is going to feed the hell out of this guy.
And crucially, I think Garrett Wilson is one of the best talents at receiver in the NFL full stop.
So basically pairing talent with a brand new situation and a huge, huge upgrade at quarterback.
I think Garrett Wilson has overall wide receiver one potential.
He has that upside.
this year if everything kind of falls right. And, you know, not only is he just a, he's big,
he's fast, he has incredible body control. I guess he's not that big, but he's really long and
kind of like slippery as a route runner. Yeah. He kind of reminds me of like a Devante Smith type of
body type. He has great, great body control, but also, and I didn't realize this, he's really good
after the catch. He breaks more tackles than you think. He was top 10 in both broken tackles and broken
tackle rate according to fantasy points last year. So, you know, not only is he going to get the football,
but he can do things after the catch that kind of like just boost his bottom line.
So I'm really in on Garrett Wilson this year.
I think the talent or the quarterback upgrade is going to be absolutely massive.
And people are, I think, a little nervous just because betting on the Jets is scary.
But this guy is just so good.
I think he has potential to be the number one receiver overall.
Yeah.
I feel like the only difference between Garrett Wilson and all these other guys, Justin Jefferson,
Jamar Chase, Cedley Lamb, Terry Kill is just that he hasn't done it yet.
Yeah.
But if there's any guy I had to pick outside of the.
first round that I think will be a first rounder in drafts next year, it's Garrett Wilson.
And Garrett Wilson, so we have Garrett Wilson ranked seventh overall and at Yahoo, he's 11th,
ESPN, he's 13th. And again, don't just take our rankings as gospel as much as we're trying
to signal to you where to reach on a platform. And again, fantasyfewalball.com. We have a draft
tracker. So if you're on Yahoo, ESPN or sleeper, the easiest way to have a different team than
everyone else is use different lists. So you can use our list. And to your point, D.K. Braylin Allen,
the Jets backup running back, just straight up, he was like, I think Garrett,
Wilson's the best football player I've ever seen.
Like he just, he couldn't believe it.
And I think Aaron Rogers, he's doing all the no look passes and practice.
Everyone's just kind of like dumbfounded.
I think frankly, Garrett Wilson, I was thinking about this when Craig said at the live
show that D.K. Metcalfe, if he was on the Cowboys, it would be like the most famous
player.
And I'm thinking about Garrett Wilson.
The Jets have been so bad at quarterback that it's kind of amazing that Garrett Wilson
isn't famous yet.
But I think Garrett Wilson is going to be mega famous in real life.
And it's going to like he'll, I think he'll quickly be more famous than a lot.
lot of these people, like more famous than like AJ Brad.
He's going to be incredible with Dave Rogers and the Jets.
So yeah, I think this is a great one.
Is it that, is it that impressive that a rookie running back,
Braylon Allen from Wisconsin was like, this is the best football player I've ever seen?
It's like, yeah, well, yeah, you're on an NFL team now and he's the number one wide receiver.
So it was like a 35-year-old vet who had been on 10 teams, I'd be like, wow, that's,
that's saying something.
But think of all the camp hyperbole we ever, we hear, you know, best shape of my life.
You don't just hear it just someone just out of context,
like that guy's the best guy I've ever seen it
anything. Honestly, what about
Aaron Rogers, Breeland? That's...
Well, that's the point. That's Terran Smith or something,
you know? Yeah, yeah. All right.
Next up here, Craig, give us another one of your guys, a receiver.
I think this is probably like the show's guy.
This is like all three of our guys.
He's an hour guy. He's an hour guy, right? Cooper Cup. We've talked about him a lot
this offseason, but I still think he is such a screaming value.
The Pukunukukua injury
kind of hurt things a little bit because I think it bumped him
down and Cooper Cup up, but still he's such a value.
This guy, look, he's 31 years old.
He had some hamstring issues.
This guy is still a triple crown winner, the first one since 2005.
And look, we did this.
We've done this before.
Aging guy has a bad year where he gets hurt, and everyone just kind of decides we're out.
We did it with Keenan Allen last year.
Keenan Allen got hurt the year before last.
Everyone's like, all right, he's 30, having some injuries.
It's over.
Keen and Allen had the best year of his career last year.
I think that perhaps Cooper Cup's not going to win the triple crown.
this year. But I still think he could be a top 10, top 15 guy, which is where he's not going at all
in drafts right now. So him and Puka, when they're on the field last year, when they were both healthy,
even though Cup wasn't really that healthy. But when they were on the field together, it was
to pass it to the Italians' offense. It was a pretty even split between the two of them.
They were both top 10 guys when they were healthy. And they check every box for me,
Cooper Cup, prove and roll, check. Great quarterback. Check. Good offense. Check. Great play caller.
Check. And he's a health psycho. You know, this guy cares about his
hamstrings more than anybody cares about their hamstrings.
So I still love Cup. I think he's a huge value.
He's one of those guys right now that you can really take advantage of the difference in rankings
from the different platforms.
So like, for instance, like you said, on ESPN, he's 45th.
Craig, we got him in our Yahoo League the other day with the ringer people at 28th overall.
So there's a massive amount of like disparity between where certain like platforms have him
ranked and that that gives you a tremendous opportunity to get value on him.
Like we would take him, I don't know, how's, what's the highest you would take him?
Like, 13th, 14th?
Like, we would take him really early.
On ESPN platform, there's such a disparity of Cooper Cup's ranking.
Again, as DK just said, Cooper Cup is 45th in ESPN.
And again, some of these generally speaking rankings, it's like the S&P 500.
It's like just wisdom of the crowds, right?
Like, you're just generally speaking, like, the consensus of ranks is often the best.
But then every now and then, we're narrowing on certain things where we just disagree.
And so I think Cooper Cup is ranked conservatively in places because there's questions
about his health. We're basically saying we actually
don't have any questions about his health. We've looked at this
situation and we're just not worried about Cooper Cup.
I've looked at his hamstrings myself.
Yeah, we expected them. They look good to me.
The massage steroid oil, like the Yonix Center.
They're very pliable right now, strong.
They look great. Gerth.
Gert or girthy.
But yeah, so Cooper Cup, yeah, I mean, he's a good example.
We have him ranked. I would not take Cooper Cup as high
as we've ranked him because I just think you can wait and still get him.
Like where we have Cooper Cup in the top 15.
You don't actually need to do that.
Compare our rankings with the site you're on.
And you're not, you can, that way, when you quote unquote, reach for him on ASPN by taking Cooper Cup 30th, you actually got a pretty great deal.
So love that.
D.K.
So we have Rishi rice rice, Gary Wilson, Cooper Cubs.
You always say Rishi.
I do.
I'm not clearly not the, well, you know what?
It's because he's racing.
I don't know.
Race.
Yeah, that's good.
There you go.
I'm going to bring that pronunciation to me.
DK.
Any other are guys that we're missing here.
Your guys, my guys.
watching CJ Stroud in the preseason has reinvigorated my enthusiasm for the Texans passing game.
Like that dude is freaking good.
So ultimately I've landed like I like, I like tank Dell a lot.
But ultimately I think Nico Collins is the guy in this offense that presents the high,
the best combination of floor and ceiling.
Number one, I think he's going to be the guy that ultimately ends up playing the most snaps among
the trio of Diggs, Tank and Nico Collins.
Just because he's big, he's a really good blocker on the outside.
He's just probably going to end up playing the most snaps.
most snaps and that's going to give him the most opportunities to do really well in this
offense.
Last year, he was the wide receiver five and points per game, 14.7.
And he has a great connection with C.J. Stroud.
He's big. He's fast.
And this is another guy.
I didn't realize how good he was after the catch last year.
He had 7.0 yards after the catch per reception last year.
The only players with more, Debo, Rishie Rice, and Noah Brown, randomly, who had far fewer
catches.
And then if you look at second, he was second in the NFL in yards after contact per
catch and that was behind only Devo.
This is a guy who's really good at breaking tackles and getting extra yards.
So he's going to make the most.
He's going to be more efficient than the average receiver with his targets.
So obviously there's some fear that he's not going to get as many targets with Stefan
Diggs coming in.
But I think he has the touchdown upside.
Yards after the catch bonus.
And just he's on a really good offense with a great young quarterback.
So I just really like his floor ceiling combination.
And he's going to be a guy.
I just feel really good about taking.
And I'm willing to splurge a little bit on him in auction drafts too.
We just mentioned Garrett Wilson as a guy who is super talented and not that famous and might be ready to explode.
I don't think there is a bigger talent to fame disparity than in Nico Collins.
Yeah.
I think that's actually probably true, Craig, because Nico Collins was like, I mean, even a year ago, like, I didn't see Nico Collins coming.
Like, he just, he's like the exception that proves the rule.
But generally speaking, guys who have had that many like three seasons in the NFL and entering their fourth year just don't explode like that.
And then Nico Collins, you know, it turns out all right.
Well, Texas had really had a good quarterback in forever, had they?
So, yeah, Nico Collins, I love all these guys.
Craig, would you rather have Nico Collins or, like, in the, you know, when you come to like the 20th, 25th pick,
would you rather have Nico Collins or Josh Palmer, you know, at that 25th spot?
Wow, that's like choosing one of my two children.
I mean, Justin Herbert, John Harbaugh, L.A., surefire number one on the offense, probably taking Josh Palmer, especially as a value.
So ESPN has Josh Palmer 148th.
Yeah.
Has him 124th.
Come on.
We have him for relentless office.
optimism. We have Josh Palmer in the top 100.
But at that point, just thinking 25th, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
It's because you have Josh Palmer first, and then we have him 100.
It's actually kind of, I think that's how Patrick Mahomes ended up fourth in the NFL 100 is I think everyone put him first, except the Bengals all put him like 100th.
Yeah, seriously.
Because Jamar Chase, like let a, like a, like a L.A., you probably just had all the LSU people, like just gang up on Mahomes.
But that's Josh Palmer.
Do you want a proven stud on a great offense like Houston, 21st overall, or kind of a less proven,
maybe not as much of a stud
at 150th overall
with Justin Herbert.
Josh Palmer will be the most divisive player
of the fantasy season for this show, I think.
If I can pick one player to have a good season this year
in the NFL, it's Josh Palmer.
Just to confirm all your takes?
Confirm all my priors, yeah,
because I hit so well with Mike Williams
like four years ago and I just needed to happen again
with another Chargers wide receiver to prove I still have it.
But yeah, look, I just think right now on the Chargers,
obviously Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are gone.
Josh Palmer is now easily the most experienced wide receiver on this team.
He's the only player on the team who's caught more than one touchdown pass from Justin Herbert.
He's competing against DJ Chark, a rookie Ladd McConkey, and a second round guy, Quentin Johnston from TCU, shout out Kai, who might not start.
To me, this is pretty simple.
I know the chargers might not throw a lot.
They're going to be a run-heavy team, but this is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Josh Palmer.
And if you can get the number one receiver on that team at 150th overall in your drafts, 130th overall, one of the easiest steals, one of the easy.
draft selections. You're going to get this guy for under 10 bucks
and an auction draft. To me,
this is a no-brainer. And he was good last year with
Keenan. I think there's, I think Josh Palmer is a very
underrated player. I think he's got a boring name.
You know, he is like mid-draft capital to him. Yeah. Yeah, but
he's just solid. He's a reliable
player who understands the game and can deliver, in my opinion.
He passes the eye test to me. I don't know.
I don't know. And again, we actually have Palmer
the top 100. And again, our rankings, fantasyf football
dot the room.com. Keep in mind
where we have them, compare them on what's going on
your draft and, you know, if you can,
meet them somewhere in the middle. If you're on Yahoo,
you don't have to take Josh Palmer, on doth, if Yahoo
has them 148th, you know, 125th,
130th, 140th, that'll do.
Unless you know that a lot of people in your league
also listen to this show, then be wary.
Just take Josh Palmer first. You'll beat him.
Yeah. Just beat him. Just beat him with a punch.
All right, let's get to our favorite running back
targets, but first, guys, football's back.
It is? And there's no better place to get in

Wow. Just think of all the bets that I could place.
What are some of the bets you'd like to place, Craig?
So many of my favorite players we've already mentioned today, I think the Josh Palmer
over on receiving yards is one of my favorite bets of the season.
Same with my guy, Cooper Cup in L.A.
the two L.A. wide receivers screaming up.
Josh Palmer over on yards and receptions.
Touchdowns.
Could you bet Josh Palmer to win MVP?
There's all the, there's player awards.
There's season-long awards.
I wonder if we could bet Josh Palmer to win the Super Bowl.
Like, not even a team, just Josh Palmer.
If I want to check the stats while I'm betting on players and games,

All right. Let's get to running backs. I think I'm doing it, guys. I'm sorry. My guy at running
back this year is Tony Pollard. We're doing it again. Really? He's doing it again.
Who is your guy? You're doing it again. If you had to pick one favorite running back,
It's Tony Pollard.
At cost, at cost.
Obviously, I could sit here and be like,
Breece Hall, first pick.
Oh, that's a good one.
I'll do him.
Yeah, Bruce Hall, good at football.
I want you know?
Christian McCaffrey, I heard that guy swell, you know?
I'm saying at cost, if, you know why?
So Tony Pollard on the Tennessee Titans down.
He's going, he's ranked 88th on ESPN,
85th on Yahoo.
We have him, we have him in the low 80s.
If Warren Buffett had a fantasy football league,
Warren Buffett would draft Tony Pollard.
That's it.
Like, Tony Pollard,
last year.
We were top 20 pick consensus.
We had him as a fringe first rounder of Tony Pollard we did.
And I understand the Cowboys are better than the Titans.
And now Tony Pollard left the Cowboys to the Titans.
I get that.
Doesn't mean Tony Pollard should be going 70 picks later.
One year ago to the day, August 23rd, we were on Bill Simmons's show.
We were like, we all love Tony Pollard.
He's our favorite player.
D.K. has a half joke.
He says all the time.
Every last three years, Tony Pollard, every time he did anything,
DK would half jokingly be like, is Tony Pollard the best player in the NFL?
Yeah. One year goes by
and Tony Pollard's like almost
outside the top 100.
All the last, he's healthier now
than he was last year. He was recovering from the broken
leg last year. And we were like, and he's like, he says,
I'm faster now. We believed him. Now he actually is
the healed and he's 70 spots lower. It is like,
He healed. He is healed. He is healed. It's the
Greek in the wire. It's you buy for a dollar, you sell for two.
This is buying the dip. It's like there's no, he's,
at a floor, even if you think he's a diminished player,
he's going on his floor,
which is like, oh,
time share with Tadje Spears in Tennessee.
The ceiling is Tony Pollard.
What if he's as good as he's been on Dallas?
And last year he was slowed
because he had a freaking broken leg
he was coming back from.
I feel like Tony Pollard
just priced at his floor,
but like in reality,
I think that a lot of people
got burned by him last year.
There's a chance he should be going 60 spots higher.
Recency bias is one of the most,
like, poisonous parts of fantasy football.
And it kind of goes back to like,
Cooper Cup or what I was saying with Keenan Allen two years ago, where these guys are proven
talents. We know they're awesome. They get hurt one year. They ruin everybody's season.
And then the next year, everyone's just like, we're over it. I want something new now.
Tony Pollard, 2022 on Dallas, was one of the best running backs I've seen over the last five years.
D.K., imagine I go back to last August and I told you Tony Pollard will be going 85th in drafts next year.
What do you think happened to Tony Pollard?
he got hurt.
Yeah, he didn't.
He recovered.
That's kind of what I'm saying.
He healed.
He healed.
He healed.
He healed.
Yeah.
Look, I love Tony Pollard.
I'm a little bit worried about this take just because from a Warren Buffett point
of view, yes, the price has gone down a ton.
But do you think Buffett is investing in the Titans?
Buffett also really, his focus is on good businesses with a really strong moat.
And Tony Pollard, I don't think fits that category because we don't even really know what his role is going
to be with this new team.
Like, Tadier Spears,
might play more than him.
He has zero moat.
Tony Pollard has no...
Like, if he was on the same team,
I could see something different here,
but he's switching teams.
He's going to be in what the coaches have described as like a true timeshare, 50-50.
Yeah.
I'm just worried there's not going to be enough volume and enough scoring for him to really be a huge difference maker.
That being said, like, I think Tony Pollard is a really good player.
And we've gone...
The pendulum has swung way too far on him.
Like, people just think he sucks now, which I don't think is right at all.
I just worry that the business, aka the Titans,
and his moat on the Titans,
he doesn't have a moat anymore.
Like, he's not the guy for this offense.
That's what worries me a little bit.
I agree with everything you're saying.
All of that's priced in.
But it's cheap, yeah.
He's going behind Brian Robinson on Washington.
Like, you know what I mean?
He's going behind Chase Brown and Cincinnati.
Like everything you're saying is priced in.
What's not priced in.
And I'm not joking about the Warren Buffett thing.
And I'm not just saying, buy the dip.
That's Warren Buffett.
Warren Buffett, before he met Charlie Munger, R-IP,
Warren Buffett used to, he called it cigar butt companies.
It's like you pick up a dying company like, you know, basically like pre-vulcher stuff.
Like he smoked the end of the cigar, throw it away.
And Charlie Munger was like, also all-time line, but he was just like, you should just like buy great companies and wait.
And Warren Buffett disagreed.
And Charlie Munger was like, you know, Warren, you're a smart guy.
And I'm right.
So I think you're going to come to like to agree with me.
And which I just think D.
D.K. should drop on me often.
He was like, hi, Fitz, you're smart.
And I'm right.
So I think you'll come to see my point of view.
But my point being a year ago, we're like Tony Pollard is maybe.
one of the five most talented skill players, period.
And then a year goes by and I'm like, all right, well, he recovered from a broken leg.
And now I'm getting one of the five most talented skill players who's 26 years old.
And he's going in the same range as Javante Williams.
And I'm like, I don't know.
Tony Pollard won the Braille and Allen.
That's the best player I've ever seen in my life award last year.
Yeah, exactly.
So anyway, I like Tony Pollard.
And I know a lot of people listening right now are kind of like insane.
I'm just like we liked him that last year.
He's 70 spots later.
All the concerns are baked in.
None of the hype.
So anyway, I like Tony Pollard.
I don't know. I kind of think Breith Hall, but I respect your opinion there.
Thanks, Craig. Thanks.
All right, D.K.
Since you're out and probably, you know, more sensible to me, who's your guy for this year?
I'm going to do kind of a similar thing that you're doing, which is pick a player that I think is just the most electric player in one of the most electric players in the NFL.
I probably, if I was going to guess at some point in this season, I'm going to be like, look, Devon A. Chan, is he the best player in the NFL, maybe?
Like possibly?
So basically, look, he's a guy that I was way ahead of compared to most people last year.
I'm going to basically stick to that.
I think there's still a ton of meat on the bone with this guy because last year,
he finished as the RB4 and points per game, 16 points per game.
And he did that on 42% snaps.
There's so much room for him to get more snaps, more opportunities, more touches.
He only has room for activities.
There's so much for activities.
So, yeah, like, look, he's going to have competition from Rahim Mostert.
he's going to have worries with his injury situation
because he did get banged up several times last year.
He's not a very big guy.
But we can't live in fear.
I just,
I draft him thinking like what he could be if he hits.
Like if he hits,
he's going to be,
he's going to be winning me,
my league if he can stay healthy
and if he can like get maybe 15 touches per game.
I think if he has 15 touches per game,
he will finish as the RB1 in fantasy and points per game.
And so I don't know.
I think obviously, like you said,
the injury situation is a little bit skis.
scary, but if he's more included in the passing game this year, which we've seen flashes of in the preseason, like, he's got several vertical passes down the field on like wheel routes or just lining up outside.
If they can get him more involved in the passing game, I think, like, his ceiling is so elite just because of how explosive he is, how elusive he is, he broke a ton of tackles last year.
Second in the NFL and missed tackles force per attempt.
He had a 22% explosive run rate, which is runs of 10 plus yards.
only that was best in the NFL.
CMC was second.
He is just an electric explosive playmaker
who was in the perfect offense
for his skill set.
And I don't think he's going to get a huge workload,
but I think his workload will increase like a little bit,
and that's going to be enough
to make him one of the most valuable players in fantasy.
The potential is undeniable.
A. Chan is young, sexy.
Got everything going for him.
But have you ever heard the phrase,
the old of the berry, the sweet or the juice?
Oh, Jesus Christ.
I think there's a different phrase,
I can't help but think about my man Rahim Mostert
with Devon A. Chan in Miami right now.
You guys know, I mentioned this at the live show,
but in case nobody listened to that episode.
You know Lisa Bonnet?
You know how Lisa Bonnet is Zoe Kravitz's mom?
Yep.
Right?
You guys are aware of that?
Yeah.
But if you squint, they look pretty similar.
20 years apart, but if you squint,
kind of the same thing.
Pretty damn close.
Yep.
And to me, sure, you could have Devon A.
Chan in the second round.
Or you could squint.
You get Lisa Bonnet in the eighth round.
Anytime, for me, anytime you can draft the guy who led the league in touchdowns in the seventh round, you do it.
He's going 60 second overall on Yahoo.
He's going 100 second in ESPN drafts right now.
That's kind of wild.
It's unbelievable.
If you're on an ESPN draft, you almost have to draft for him most to Craig's point.
Like, you literally led the league in touchdowns.
He's 10 years older than ACHAM.
He's 10 years older than ACHAN.
He's still the starter on this team.
I still think he will get more carries than Devon ACHAN.
There really is nothing has changed about this situation.
I guess they drafted another running back in Jalen Wright.
But this is kind of just the exact same situation.
Okay, so if you knock off, you know, some touchdowns obviously,
where he mostly scored 21, he's probably not going to do that again.
But this guy is still the starter.
The team is exactly the same.
And he was the number three overall player in fantasy last year.
And now he's just going in the seventh round.
I don't really understand that.
This is the classic case of like we all want Devon A-chan to be incredible, and he is.
It's a mix of last year they ran really pure on touchdowns.
Basically all the, every time Miami is in the red zone, they always ended up with a rushing touchdown.
Every time A.C.N. and Moster touched the ball, it worked.
And so there's a degree of that that's going to come back.
Half of Mosterts fantasy points last year came from touchdowns.
Two things about that.
Again, kind of like my Tony Plymouth thing, kind of priced in with Mostert.
Yeah, it could get hurt.
Yeah, it could be less efficient.
If you're an 80th pick and you're like, damn, Rahim Moster is still there.
That's still worth the dart throw.
90th pick? I mean, damn. And then to your second point, I also think that there is an element
that might not be, I think the reason most are in A.SPN, ESPN is just out. Like, you know,
ACHN has, is 41st in ESPN. You know, we think he's in the late teens. Yahoo has him in the early
20s. Like, there's just disagreements on certain facets. And I think that if you asked the people
ESPN, I don't want to speak for anyone, but I think that what they might say is, well,
they was incredibly efficient with the running game. I think that what's worth considering is,
well, Mike McDaniel just might be the best person at designing a running game.
game in the NFL right now. He was Kyle Shannon's run game coordinator. They were at the
cutting edge of all these motions and all these things. I know I've mentioned this before, but
just doing motions not just to get Tyree Kill open, but moving the tight end to like, oh, you actually
created a new, they actually, they can run counter from this because they move the tight end three
feet. Like you're able to, you know, put Jonu Smith in motion and now he's getting a running start
in the defensive end. Like all, they're doing all these creative stuff. And so yeah, maybe they actually
keep not just Devon A chance like efficiency, but it's about the overall Mike McDaniel is designing a
running game that is going to be more efficient than ever the team. And that's also what we're
looking for is like guys in systems that can break everything. Look, even if you cut Rahim Osert's
touchdowns in half last year, he's still the RB 16. And I think that's very much in play.
To me, it's like hearing everybody argue why this awesome team is just suddenly not going to be
as good this year or why this awesome player is suddenly not going to be as good this year.
It's a lot harder for me to understand that argument than somebody telling me why some shitty player
on a shitty team is suddenly going to be good this year. You know what? You know what this is,
Craig, every year, a few years ago, I think Aaron Jones said like 18 touchdowns.
And you're like, you know, every year regression comes for everyone, right?
Like any outstanding performance, you know, if you shoot 75 and golf one day, it doesn't
mean you're going to shoot 76 the next day.
However, every year, there's one guy that just go out and does the same thing.
And I think what we're saying is the week one test of like, who's the guy that if they just,
you watched one week of football and you'd be like, oh, shit.
Like, Rie and Moster had 140 yards in three touchdowns in week one.
You'd be like, oh, my God.
What did we do?
I just think McDaniel and Dolphins, they don't want to give Achan a ton of the work.
I think it'll tick up a little bit.
I think it'll be closer to an even split, even if it is 50-50.
That's totally fine.
Then you still get 50% of the Dolphins rushing game with Rahe Moster, which is more than enough
for the price you're drafting him at.
I think they're both great picks.
I want to make that clear.
I think you could draft both of them even and have them both on your team.
DK's heart's so torn.
No, no, no, I agree completely with this.
Like if you don't, if you can't get A.
refused to pay the price that it takes to get H& early on in the draft.
I think Mostard is one of the best, like, middle round picks you could make just because, look,
if we've seen the way that they've used the backfield in the preseason,
it really heavily points to Mostert still being the lead back.
Like, this is his backfield.
And, you know, going back years to when he was playing with the 49ers,
like, he never got a ton of volume, but he was always a very efficient runner.
He always has fit the scheme perfectly.
He's just like a slingshot.
He just is, like, once he gets out on the edge, he hits.
the gas pedal and he just goes and he just perfectly fits this offense.
And by the way, like, they just use him the most in the red zone.
Obviously, that's very clear from what we got last year.
But like, I don't see A Chan really like becoming the guy in the red zone.
Like, that's not really what his role is.
That's not really what his talent is.
He's more of a space guy.
And Moser proved last year that he can be a very effective red zone runner, deep red zone runner.
And so I don't think a lot is going to change here.
I think it's very obvious.
He's probably going to score fewer rushing touchdowns.
But like Craig said, he could score fewer touchdowns and still be a massive value.
So I'm all over this one, too.
I love this one.
I love both of these guys.
It's like you want to bet on the, like we talked about in our rules show.
Like, you bet on the wonderkins.
Like, Mike McDaniel is an amazing run game coordinator and designer and the way that he sequences plays.
Like he has every different club in his bag in terms of like counter, outside zone.
You know, and then he makes this in a ton of motion.
It just makes it very, very difficult for a defense to know what's coming.
on any given play. And so I want to bet on teams like that. So that's why I like
most of N. A chain. Well, we're talking about old running backs who are probably going to get
hurt. The other guys I want to shout out that are my guys, just the charges running backs.
And honestly, J.K. Dobbins. I think J.K. Dobbins. And maybe I'm just now shouting out
guys who have been hurt that I'm, maybe that's what this is. It's just post type injury sleepers,
I guess. But like, I look at J.K. Dobbins, 113th on ESPN. J. Dobbins is 11th.
is 148th on Yahoo.
So basically 150th, borderline undrafted on Yahoo.
We have him 1-11.
I just think Jake,
Jay-Dominz, I think, will be the starter
for the L.A. Chargers,
and I think the L.A. Chargers are going to be
one of the best rushing teams in the NFL,
or at least they're going to try
to run the ball the most.
And look, Jackie Dobbins could get hurt.
He's had the Clay Thompson, the Achilles, the ACL, everything.
I don't care.
Like, he's 25 years old.
He's immensely talented.
And also the coaching staff trust him.
They think he could do everything.
He's a three-downback skill set.
And he's almost undrifice.
drafted. It's that simple. It's just like I, I, that's, he doesn't have to play a whole season or make it through a whole season. You know, if you're on Yahoo specifically, you get like five weeks out of J.K. Dobbins is the starter. Like, he's paid more than paid off for what you're getting him for. And it's just a little bit of penny stock. Yeah. And then Kamani Vidal. Same thing. It's like, I, you know, I think any two of the charges running backs, Kamani Vidal, the rookie, JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards, two of those three guys I think could get you, you able to like chop it up for honestly a lot of the season. How much do you think J. J. Daubbins is going to go for an auction league.
like one or two dollars.
A dollar. Literally a dollar.
And that's my point.
He's Rahim Moster's just like throw him on the end of your bench.
And if he's the starter, like that's incredible value.
And this is by the way, another guy, Greg Roman, who is one of the best run game designers in the NFL.
You know, like he's proven it time and time again.
Basically anybody who you drop into the Greg Roman offense is going to average like six yards of carry.
So and obviously like Lamar Jackson was a big part of that in in Baltimore.
But like going back even further, Greg Roman was the offensive coordinator for the 49ers back in the day.
Like, he's just really good at designing a run game.
And so I just want to have pieces of this run game.
And I think Justin Herbert is going to be efficient enough to get them into the red zone more than people might think.
And so, yeah, I think there's a ton of upside here.
Palmer is going to be going crazy.
Palmer's going to be just converting first downs left and right.
The reason to bring up Dobbins is just at a simple, if we just heard everything we said about Moster and you're like, you guys are insane,
you're talking about the oldest running back in the NFL trying to make it over 17 games.
This is crazy.
He's injury prone, blah, blah, blah.
If you think that about Mostert, then J.K. Dobbins is most truth this year because he's basically free and he could just easily like, honestly, Jakey Dobbins could lead the NFL touchdowns if he's been healthy for a whole year like mostert did. So I think Dobbins is incredible.
This is like maybe a stretch. But like after seeing Cam Acres in the preseason running around and like making cuts and looking really explosive, this is. I mean, Acres tore both as Achilles.
Yeah. Like I no longer have just like this feeling that it completely removes you from the future your future in the NFL if you suffer a bad injury like Jake Dobbins is done.
Our guys for quarterbacks.
Honestly, my strategy, quarterback this year, just take a rushing quarterback.
Like, take a running quarterback.
Like, unless you get Patrick Mahomes, get a Russian quarterback, I don't care.
Jalen Hertz, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson.
I love them all.
Anthony Richardson, we love Anthony Richardson.
I think that he's been really juiced up.
I feel like he's the darling of the year.
He might not be able to get him that cheap anymore because, you know, everything
we talked about, number one fantasy points per dropback and 18 points in six
minutes last year in one game.
But I think Anthony Richardson, the hype is really high.
so maybe that freaks some people out.
Get a running quarterback.
If I wanted a shout out to in particular,
I don't think I've got enough hype.
Jaden Daniels is my guy this year.
Jaden Daniels, Washington number two.
It's RJ3 2.0,
kind of like some of the other guys we've talked about.
It's not very expensive,
but the upside is insane.
And again, he won the highsman.
Jaden Daniels is going to run.
I don't need my analysis
to be like Jaden Daniels run fast,
but like I just don't understand why he's,
like again on ESPN available in the top 100.
It's kind of crazy to me.
So I love him.
And the other person I want to show.
shout out, Kyler Murray, who I think is somehow like weirdly underrated,
just to give you an idea of like why I want to shout him out.
Kyler Murray is ranked on Yahoo 49th.
And on ESPN, Kyler Murray is ranked 91st.
So that is literally like a four teetering into a five round difference on depending
in just ESPN your Yahoo.
Again, if you're an ESPN, I just think people forgot how good Kyler Murray is.
It's 14 rushing touchdowns in 2020.
And then in 2021, he had like, he had three to start.
And then he had like an ankle issue.
and a neat thing.
And then he tore his ACL.
I don't know.
He came back from the ACL midseason last year
and had three rushing touchdowns
in his next three games.
I think that now with a full off season
of recovery like Dak Prescott
after he came back from that horrible broken leg,
and then like when he got the full off season,
he was incredible again.
I just think we're under,
I don't know how Kyler Murray
could be going 91st in a world
where rushing points are three times
as valuable as passing points.
So again, I love Kyler.
I love Jaden Daniels.
I love Richardson.
I love the top quarterback.
Just get a rushing.
quarterback. There's no reason to me to take a pocket passer this year.
Outside of pairing it with one of those guys,
you know, again, Justin Fields the Olive Garden, even if, you know,
pick them up on waivers if he takes the job from Russ.
But Jaden's my guy, but all the Russian quarterbacks, I think, are tremendous values this year.
Yeah, you're just asking for less.
Like, the floor is so much higher with these Russian guys.
They can play a game where their team loses 31, 14.
They throw the ball like shit, but they run for 50 yards in a touchdown and you end up
still having a decent fantasy day.
With a guy like Joe Burrow, you kind of need,
Joe Burrow to throw for 300 yards in two or three touchdowns every single game to sustain
that value. And so it's just a lot easier with these rushing guys where the passing upside is there.
And we saw that with like Lamar Jackson in 2019 when he won the MVP and he was awesome
running and throwing. But yeah, it's just so much easier. It's like you're just asking for way less.
Any of these guys can run for 50 yards in a touchdown and it doesn't even really matter what
they're doing throwing the ball. I want to talk about what my my guy at quarterback is I think on sort
of the, he's in the middle area
in terms of rushing ability. I don't think he's going to be like
Lamar Jackson. I Fitz is playing with his
cat. Sorry, the cat just jumped up here.
The cat just walked onto the screen. The cat just
very distracting cat.
Okay.
There was the other day,
Hyfit sent a bunch of gibberish in the
group chat and he was like, sorry my cat
literally walked on the keyboard.
And I was kind of like, wow, I didn't realize that stuff
actually happens in real life. Yeah.
Sorry, I was talking about Caleb Williams
from the Bears rookie rookie quarterback who
look, again, I don't think he's going to be
Lamar Jackson, I don't think he has the rushing upside that Jane Daniels has because he's just not
going to run quite as much. They're not going to be doing quite as much designed run game stuff with him.
That's not really his game. But I think he's going to be one of the better scrambling quarterbacks in the NFL.
We've seen glimpses of it in the preseason like the way he's able to evade pressure,
escape the pocket, keep his eyes downfield. And if nothing is there, he'll take off running.
He scored a rushing touchdown in his last preseason game like that. And so I think Caleb Williams has some hidden
upside as a runner, especially
in the red zone where he's a really good scramble.
He scored 27 rushing touchdowns in three seasons
in college. He didn't run a ton, but
he was very dangerous in the red zone.
Just like on certain keepers, there was one play
in particular. I remember where he kept it
and a defender tried to stop him at the
goal line and he just trucked
the defender. Like he's just stronger.
We've seen it. Hyfitz, you talked about this at the combine.
He's got a dunk-dunk-dunk. He's got some power in his legs.
Please stop showing me your cat. Trying to talk about
Caleb Williams. Just putting him on my shoulder.
I was putting him on my shoulder.
The entire time I was doing that monologue is just fucking playing with his kids.
People are way more obsessed with their cats than dogs.
I know.
I'm like,
George,
get the fuck out of here.
I'm trying to talk.
But yes,
anyways,
bottom line,
I could see a season.
I can see a scenario where Caleb Williams quietly has like 300 to 400
rushing yards and a handful of touchdowns.
And that adds like three to four points per game on average over a season.
And so that just gives him a little bit higher floor,
a little bit higher ceiling than most rookie quarterback.
SEC. And by the way, I'm also just very confident
Caleb Williams as a passer. He's got a really good
skill group around him. I think
they're going to score probably more points than
the average rookie quarterback would
score. And so I'm really
starting to get excited about drafting
Caleb Williams' fantasy because I think even if he isn't
like a really super efficient passer,
he does have a little bit of that rushing upside.
Caleb is Aaron Rogers. He has everything.
He has the off platform throws. He has the absolute delusional
off-field confidence. He's
like faster, more agile Aaron Rogers.
Well, there's some people that
comped him to Kyler Murray, actually.
He's not as explosive of a runner as
Kyler, but like the way
they scramble is somewhat similar.
It's like, they have a little yakety sacks to them.
A hundred percent. I just picture Kyler Murray, like,
scooting around, like, looking
backwards and like, you know, making sure the guy isn't
going to, like, catch his feet kind of deal. Like, that's just
what I picture my head. And, and
Caleb Williams is very much like that.
A very elusive scrambler.
And that gives him, like I said,
that gives him a little bit of an edge over
some of the other pocket quarterbacks that,
you see in his range right now.
And we got him at 111th.
You know, I'd probably even take him in the 90s,
honestly reach a little bit on them just to try and get that upside.
There's also something to be said about fantasy football being fun.
Having Caleb Williams on your team will be fun.
You'll like having Caleb Williams on your team.
Craig, let's get to tight ends.
Who's your guy at tight end this year?
It's time for me to take a leap of faith.
Don't do it.
Craig's just adjusting.
I'm going to be the guy.
I'm going to be the guy to stick my flag on Kyle Pitts Mountain.
Wow.
We got Pollard and Pitts in the same freaking into my guys episode.
Yeah, I have climbed to the summit and I have conquered it.
No.
You didn't take it.
It's an abandoned ghost ship.
No one wants it.
It's like a heron haul.
A hair and a hawk.
I can't wait for week four when Kyle Pitts is the top tight end in the league and I get to be the one who said,
I drafted Kyle Pitts.
You know that an annoying friend who always talks about the stock that he bet on that worked out?
Or he like always, there's always like one friend who just finds everything at a discount magically.
I'm like, oh, that's a nice jacket.
He's like, yeah, normally 300 bucks got it for 80.
That's going to be me with Kyle Pitts.
Genuinely, look, it's been a rough go.
And I think part of the reason why I'm actually in on Kyle Pitts this year is I have actually,
I'm not in many fantasy leagues.
I like to keep it small.
I only have two or three.
I've never actually drafted him yet.
I haven't been able to because he's been such a hot commodity.
Everybody's been taking him so early.
And so I don't personally, I have no scars.
I have no Kyle Pitts scars.
So I'm ready to be hurt.
But to me, it's like, dude, this is actually kind of obvious.
If you look at High Fis with the Cat is still there,
if you look at 2023, heading into last season,
Kyle Pitts was 10 months recovered from a torn MCL and PCL.
And he was heading into a season with Desmond Ritter as his quarterback,
and he had John Hous Smith on his team.
In that season, heading into 2023, with all those components,
he was the 64th overall pick.
Now we look at 2024.
He's two years removed from tearing his knee.
And now he's gearing up for a season with Kirk Cousins as his quarterback,
and John Hussmith is gone.
He is now going only, sorry, he is going two spots later this year than he did last year.
Meanwhile, everything is different, not to mention the coaching staff.
But look, dude, Terry Fontano, the GM of the Falcons,
that guy is refusing to give Kyle Pitts a bad quarterback so much so that he gave one
quarterback $100 million guaranteed.
And then he drafted another one in the top 10.
He's doing it for us.
He's determined.
He's determined to give Kyle Pitts a good quarterback.
Even the third string, Heineke is confident.
He's like, look, I don't care what the fuck happens.
I don't want to hear any more excuses about while Kyle Pitts isn't good.
Okay?
I don't know if I'm really on board with the Heineke thing, but that's fine.
He's the best third string in the league.
Okay, sure.
That's fine.
Yeah, it's my point.
Come on, this is a joke.
Kyle Pitts has had one season where he wasn't catching passes from.
Kyle Pitts has this whole bit?
Is this a bit?
Is that what you're saying?
He said one season where Desmond Ritter or Marcus Mariosa wasn't his quarterback.
And in that season, he had a thousand yards.
I think this is the two strongest.
This is literally, I think Kyle Pitts is the battleground between heart and head in fantasy.
Because your heart is the one that's been burned and knows, you know, your heart doesn't hear stats, right?
Your heart is the one where it's like this guy has.
You guys are smart guys.
And I'm right.
To quote our own rankings, like at fantasyfobble.
dot the Rear.com, if you click on little player blurbs.
Our bottom line for Kyle Pitts is
drafting Pitts has never worked for
anyone, but maybe it will work for you.
See, I think
heading into last year was the definition
of insanity where you were like experiencing
the same thing but expecting different results.
I think this year everything is actually
different and we're all scarred
from last season, but things are different.
And the argument is basically Drake London is out
here in best ball as like the 13th pick in
best ball, but then Kyle Pitts being
70th and, you know, fantasy and we're high
on Kyle Pitts at 70. I agree with you.
Also, we should have put him 69th for the bit.
But I think Kyle Pitts, I'll say this.
The part of me where I'm like, it's everything
I said about Pollard, where not
quite as extreme, but where Pollard, we were taking
this guy who broke his leg that year. Kyle Pitts was
not healthy from the MCL last year.
Now he's healthier. And to your point,
the thing I keep thinking about is that Kyle
Pitts is younger than Michael Pennix Jr.
Like the Falcons first round pick this year.
Like Pitts is younger than, there are three
first round picks in this draft that are
older than Kyle Pitts.
And the idea of giving up on a prospect like that,
to Craig's point about giving up on someone who's still younger than
fucking three,
10% of the guys in the first round are older than Kyle Pitts.
And we're going to give up on the actual Kyle Pitts,
who had 1,000 yards in the NFL like three years ago.
Like, I don't know,
like giving up on him is a little insane.
But I don't think I want to be the one to do it again.
Kyle Pitts would be the youngest employee at the ringer.
Think about that.
Craig, Craig, your campaign motto for the Kyle Pitts thing is,
things are different.
Things are different.
They are.
They are different.
Come on.
I believe you, but also I don't know if I like this.
Sometimes I was just like,
look, I don't even know if Kyle Pitts is good anymore.
Like, I truly don't.
I'm just like, I don't know if he's good.
You know what the Kyle Pitts thing is?
It's D.K. last year, we have a rule that, like,
I've lost my religion.
It's like what D.K. said about Michael Thomas last year.
it's like there's a point where it's like, you know what, we're too old to have toxic people in our life.
Toxic relationships.
And I just feel like Kyle Pitts is a toxic relationship that I need to leave behind in my life.
And if he goes on to thrive, that's awesome for him.
But I'm a little concerned for things are different.
What will happen to me.
Kyle Pitts is like when you wake up on Sunday and you're like, I'm never fucking drinking again.
But now this year, it's like a week goes by and someone's like, oh, Danny's having a birthday party this year or tonight.
It's going to be sick.
He has a whole party, DJ.
free alcohol.
And I'm like, fuck, am I drinking again?
I'm in.
That's me.
Should that be one of our awards for Sunday nights this year
where we just have the Kyle Pitts Award for I'm never drinking again?
And then the next, like the player you start every week,
like, I'm never going to play Kyle Pitts again.
And the next week, just play Kyle Pitts.
Several days later.
I'm never drinking again.
And then it's like, wait, he got a party boat?
Email us at Ringer Fantasy Football at Gmail.com.
If you have award ideas for our Sunday night episode this year.
Yeah, I, I, I,
Beer Pong tournament?
That's exactly how I'll think of Pitts in drafts this year.
where if Kyle Pitts falls, he's going to be like, it's, you know, like,
what are the names?
Like the beer hit my hand like Muldner?
Like I'm a little worried that it's going to fall into my lap and he's going to, you know,
so good when it touches your lips.
It makes no sense that he's going in the exact same spot he did last year.
That makes no sense.
You can't argue that.
He's going at the exact same spot he was last year.
How is how is that?
Because people hate him.
People actually hate him.
But it's the same thing with the other two tight ends in this range.
Evan Engram is going basically in the same spot as last year.
another crazy disparity player.
He's like, Evan Engram is like 59th or 60th on Yahoo,
but he's like 89th on ESPN.
Yeah, that one doesn't make any sense.
There's like a 30 spot difference.
I have to double check that.
He has no juice.
Evan Egrem had the second most catches of any tied end in a single season ever last year.
Well, people just are like, yeah, it's not happening again.
And he's like almost the same spot.
David and Joker was literally just the number one tied end in fantasy in the second half of last season.
He's like lower than he was last year.
Like, or about the same.
And there's a point where, what's going on with all.
Yeah, St. Pitts and Joker, I'm all these guys.
Fantasy is such a, like, weird test of the psyche.
It is the stock market.
It's literally like the stock market.
It's, it's emotions and fear.
It's all psychological.
Yeah.
I think that's the way I'd put it.
Kyle Pitts is a Myers-Briggs.
If you're kind of, like, too old for the shit and you're like, I'm done with toxic people, it's Pitts.
But if, but also if you're just kind of like, no, like, I believe, like, I'm going to, like,
honestly, it's phomo.
If you would have more phomo,
of having had Kyle Pitts
and then like you're not there
the year he takes off
you want to take him
but I'm the Joe Mo
I'm the joy of missing out
I am gonna like
it's like when the internet
thing comes and goes
and you I never learned
what the Costco family is
I never learned what that is
the Costco viral
who are those people
the dad and the sons
with the booze
I don't know what they're talking about
I don't know what their deal is
and I'm gonna wait them out
and that's Kyle Pitts too
I'm gonna wait him out
so you you guys are on the record
you're both out on Kyle Pitts
and he's mine
well I'm sure the second
I'm tempted. I can have drinking again. But yeah, I'm telling myself right now, I'm going to stop drinking.
Yeah, I will not be drafting Cal Pitts anywhere. He's on some of my dynasty team, so I still have hope and I love him.
But I will not be drafting him. Any of the guys for this season, D.K.? You know, look, I mentioned I'm just not even sure anymore if Cal Pitts is good. You know who I am sure is good? You know who I think is one of the best, like, players at his position period? Trey McBride are the Cardinals. Like, this is the guy who passed the eye test more than almost any other player last year for me. He's just so good.
So reliable.
Catching the ball, turning up field, making guys miss,
picking up yards after the catch.
He made some incredible catches, like in traffic.
He's big.
He's tough.
He's super athletic.
He's very athletic relative to the rest of the tight ends in the NFL.
Thank you for clarifying.
He's just built diff, basically is what I'm trying to say.
So last year after Ertz went down and the Cardinals started playing him more than 50% of the snaps,
he was basically first.
He was top three in almost every stat that you'd want.
target rate, targets per game, receiving yards per game, yards per route, run, and fantasy points.
Like, he was just like a top three guy.
And so I really like his trajectory, especially in an offense that gets marginally better this
year.
I think Kyler Murray is going to be a healthier.
I think obviously having Marvin Harrison in this offense can complicate things in terms
of like his target rate.
His target rate may drop a little bit, but we could see his efficiency go up because he could
score more touchdowns because of the way that teams have to defend the Cardinals.
So I'm just bullish on the Cardinals offense.
and I'm bullish on Trade McBride being just a really good player.
So he's the guy I really want to target just because I believe in his talent.
Yeah, McBride's awesome.
Definitely passes the eye test.
He was so good last year in the second half of the season.
Like in Joku, he was like a league winner at the tight-end position over the last half of the season.
The Cardinals in general are really like a candidate to be the Texans of 2024,
but the 2020-Texans in 2024 of one of those kind of like super underrated offenses
that when we head into next season, all of these guys might be way higher in fantasy draft.
Marvin Harrison.
Even Michael Wilson is a solid number two.
Trey McBride,
their rookie running back,
George Benson.
Dorch.
Yeah.
Again, if you're in an ESPN league,
I think it is so crazy,
easy to get like,
Trey McBride and Kyler Murray.
And like,
the idea that you can get both of those
and you have tight end quarterback
taken care of,
and if Kyler actually becomes an elite fantasy asset
and McBride is an elite tight end,
you just hammer running backs
and receivers everywhere else.
I love that stack, too.
I just think the Cardinals
are going to have a terrible defense.
I think they're going to be
like not an amazing offense,
but like they could.
It's in the range of outcomes,
but generally just,
I just think Arizona is just way better
than people remember.
And I just think they're going to be really competent
to like potentially just kind of awesome
with Marvin Harrison and McBride and everyone.
So I love this,
D.K.
And I just like,
they had a borderline top 10 offense in the second half
after Kyler started getting healthy.
And now they're just adding Marvin.
Yeah.
All right.
I love that.
Any other guys,
anyone else you want to shout out or anyone,
anyone on this list that wasn't one of your guys,
you brought,
that's your favorite.
Oh.
No.
Not the best color man in the league for nothing, folks.
I really like Nico Collins.
I think that was a great one.
I'm jealous of Nico Collins.
I think the Texans in general
are just a really fun team to root for.
And I don't really want to have Stefan Diggs on my team.
I'd rather have Nico Collins.
I just think that's way more fun.
Yeah, I was going to add,
I'm big on the Rishi Rice one too.
I think it's kind of a trendy pick right now,
but like just the stars really seem to
aligning for him to have a huge year.
Damn. He's pooing my selection.
It's kind of trendy. Everyone's doing it.
Flavor the month.
Sorry. It's not really a caught tape by Craig.
Craig, you probably didn't even know that it was popular.
You're just like, you know, independently, very intelligent.
All my players I'm realizing are either guys who might get suspended because of a felony
charge or they're 32 years old or they're just bad.
That's my three archetypes.
Legal issues, old and hurt or young and bad.
that's all your exes too.
Facing felony charges.
On that note, I love Cooper Cup too.
Cooper Cup also just old, hurt.
Yeah.
Love him.
Love that guy.
But I do think the cup Rishi Rice thing I want to just shout out in particular for just,
it's crazy that those in theory could be your second and third receivers.
Like you could in theory go running back.
You could have like Breeze Hall and Derek Henry and you could take a like Nico Collins
right there come back around
and you might be able to get like
Rishi Rice and Cooper Cup and so in theory you could
have Breece Hall, Derek Henry
you know let's just say Nico Collins
Cooper Cup Rish Rice and then you can come back around
and take like Trey McBride maybe if he was still there
like still Kyler Murray a quarter
like yeah I just I love I love the cup stuff
all right I think that's all we got
thank you DK thank you Craig thank you everyone
listening think of it go to our ranking fancyf football
dot the riner dot com we've got our draft tracker so you can keep track of all
this stuff. During your draft, you can mark guys as drafted. You can mark them on your team
so you can keep track. It's the easiest way to just have a different team. Just don't look at the same
list that everyone else is using. Thank you, Kai, for producing this episode. Thank you for my cat, for
help in front of the scenes. Thank you for my, I love this little cat. He's a great guy. Thank you,
Lauren. He's a cute cat. Lauren. Thank you. Eamon or A-M-M-O-N. Who? Amen. E-A-M-M-O-N.
I think he's off music. E-E-M-E-M-A-M-M-E.
I thought you were talking about a person at first.
Is that a band?
Look it up.
It's the fuck it song.
Fuck it.
I don't want you back.
All time banger.
And that's your opinion about Kyle Pitts.
Fuck you.
You hope.
I don't want you back.
Yeah.
I think that's Aiman.
I think that's how you said.
What did I say?
It's an Aman or Eamon or I don't know how to say it.
Fuck it.
I don't want you back.
All time banger.
That is literally your thoughts on Kyle Pitt.
I've never heard of this person.
Is it a man?
I think it's a one.
I think it's a one hit wonder is.
Yeah, I've heard of this song as I'm listening to it right now,
but I've never heard.
I didn't know what this guy made.
Craig, listen to it.
I guarantee you you recognize it.
Did he have other songs?
Is he a one hit wonder?
I'm sure he had other songs.
Well, not.
I didn't even literally.
He made one song.
Imagine that.
Drops the mic.
Has there ever been a one hit wonder that actually just made like one song.
It was a hit walked away?
No.
What?
That doesn't even make it.
How would that even work?
I don't know.
Is there like a, is that a thing?
I don't think so.
You know who could have kind of done it?
You would have to go almost viral.
Yeah, Rebecca Black is exactly what I'm thinking for Friday.
Craig, sing it.
Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday.
Everybody's looking forward to the weekend, party and party.
Yeah.
Fun, fun, fun, fun, looking forward to the weekend.
Oh.
Let's just text to me, are you singing this on the pod?
You bet I am, babe.
All right, goodbye, everyone.
