We are.

We are

He of the ever-receading here line
together. We are known as
the Midnight Boys.
A-boo!
Grammy reminders.
This Friday,
the House of Our returns to give their
spring hype top ten. I'm excited about this.
We got a big spring, guys.
A big spring coming up in the realms of fandom.
You guys excited about all the things that are happening this spring?
I'm sprung.
That's great.
Oh, Jesus.
I'm sprung.
I'm sprung.
I'm sprung.
I'm sprung to get me.
Marvel do it.
They say never did multiverse.
I'm sprung.
So they're going to be sharing their most looked forward to things in the spring this Friday.
I'm going to be tuning in.
I want to know what Joe is excited about.
I think I know, though.
Lord of the Rings.
Lord of the Rings.
I think Joe is going to be talking a lot about Lord of the Rings.
She's a tokenite, as I understand.
Wait, so I want to know, like, what are we going to do in the spring?
They're going to have to clone us.
There's so much shit dropping.
they're going to get at us
they think we're missing shit now
they're going to get at us in the spring
they might be cloning us
you never know
oh geez
cryptic cryptic
cryptic man
all right next Friday
we're going to be back with our
instant reactions to the bat man
the bat man
if we ever get to see it
I'm gonna hope that
internally
but we're going to have instant reactions
to the Batman next Friday.
You know, guys, this is a big deal.
Does it seem like, before we even move on,
does it seem like, does the Batman have the buildup?
Does the Batman have the buildup?
It's a week away.
And it seems as if people kind of treat this movie
almost the way they treated Batman begins
to where it's like, oh, it's a new Batman movie
coming out, we'll see it.
But it doesn't seem to be this fever pitch.
Am I wrong about this?
No, I don't think that the hype is where it should be.
I mean, you got to think, like, Dr. Strange and the multiverse of madness ain't even out yet.
And I can't scroll through my timeline without seeing.
Everybody going nuts.
And like, here's the thing.
Thor, Love and Thunder.
That shit was trending.
Not because there was a new trailer because people were begging for the trailer.
I don't see the same type of, like, fervor for Batman.
It's weird.
and this is our first new solo Batman movie in 10 years, right?
So you think, look, this movie is a little bit more experimental.
They're doing some new things.
They're revisiting some things from the comic books.
So, you know, I guess I get it.
And there are a lot more questions than this than there are multibreason of madness.
Like, this doesn't seem to be honest with you, though.
That's what I'm trying to say.
And Jumby, Steve, I love for you guys to jump in.
this too before I tell everybody what we're doing today.
This doesn't seem to be,
am I wrong,
an event movie.
Does it?
I think there's,
I think there is a little bit of hype.
I was on Twitter this weekend
and I saw people being excited
for John Tituro,
you know, as Falcone
in the movie and obviously people
are excited to see Zoe Kravitz
turn as Selena Kyle. So there's
a little bit of, you know, people
out there, but it's, it's not as
much as a Marvel film.
It's just, it's a, I think Marvel has a different level of hype than DC.
It's just running a little bit under the radar.
But people are excited for this movie.
I feel like this movie is going to quickly sneak up on people as to how exciting and
quickly it'll be because I think the ramp up that I've been seeing as far as like press
and everything is going is just look how sexy Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz are.
Don't you want to see this movie?
And I was like, wow.
Because they look good.
Oh, you're into that, huh, Steve?
You like that.
of course who's not into that
who's not into that of course steve we
wait before we go before we introduce what we're doing
van i have a very important question for you
what you got i'm not talking about quality of the film
we're not talking about quality i'm talking about
how the film does
would it be like
the worst case scenario for dc if this movie
underperforms because batman is like
yeah it won't be bad property
that
reliably it doesn't matter when he
when he's out he's going to juice the numbers
so if this
doesn't break the bank. Where do you think
DC is at?
Okay, I do kind of feel like
it's a moot point because this movie is going
to perform.
I think across the nation,
the, you know, some
places, more than other places, but the COVID numbers
are coming into control, which is, I think,
the only thing that could keep people out of the theaters not to see
this, I think this movie will perform. And I think
this movie will set Hollywood up for a bounce back year.
I think it's a very important movie for
a lot of different situations. So I do
think, not that
No way Home hadn't already done that.
I do think this movie will perform.
If it was not to perform, though, it would be disastrous.
Like, they got to have Batman.
Yeah, I'm not saying it will.
I'm just saying, I'm using my hypothetical, if it does happen, where does D.C. even go from here?
They would have to just keep going, but it would be bad.
Like, they got to have Batman.
They have got to have Batman.
Batman is LeBron of D.C.
You can have a Westbrook mess it off.
Fuck it off.
You can have Anthony Davis.
always getting hurt. You could
fuck around and trade Caruso, the Flash,
but you have to have LeBron
or else you don't have a franchise.
Caruso? The Flash is Caruso?
The Flash is Caruso for sure.
It's a great role player. Great role player.
Great role player. Great role player. Great role is hard every night.
You know what I'm saying? Hard every night. Favorite son.
This does make sense because Caruso seems down for the cause
and Ezra Miller was going at the KKK recently.
Like, so.
Ezra Miller has some problematic stuff in this past, though. It's okay.
All right. So on today,
show, we will be constructing the ultimate Batman predictions Bigel Car.
Based upon what we think, we think might happen in the newest Batman movie.
Okay, because we have all of these thoughts.
Steve has these crazy thoughts, right, that he was telling us when he was at our house
this past weekend, we were watching the Kingsman, which we didn't like, we didn't expect to
like as much as we did.
Steve was talking about all of this different stuff, and it was all.
All very sensual.
Steve Lathen.
Like, did you all adopt this, man?
Yeah, he's got a room. We got an extra room here.
Steve, like, one of those sitcoms from, like, the 80s and 90s where he just comes over
your house and he just never leaves because his home life is just so bad.
I got a little Harry Potter nook under the stairs.
I'm welcome.
He's doing this thing.
Steve is a part.
I'll tell you who's not.
Jomey.
Jomey is 0 for three in the last three invites.
No, it's sad.
It's sad.
I have an excuse.
I'm on the East Coast.
Every single time, like, Van puts up the bat signal.
it's time to hang out,
Jomey got an excuse every single time.
And they get worse with each,
each consecutive.
They get more serious.
I had a valid reason for staying at home.
He did have,
he did have a,
he did have.
Wait,
no,
no,
no,
you know what?
I could have come over this Saturday,
right?
I could have came.
Why not?
I could have showed up.
I could have hug everybody.
What was his excuse for Super Bowl weekend?
I'm tired,
I'm tired.
I couldn't give everybody a hug.
You know what I'm saying?
I could have,
you know,
we're already 10 in.
Let's dismiss me
play you just get to
get to be a talk about this later on.
Okay, we're not just doing the Batman
Bingo predictions. We're also doing
who you got. This game of
who you got is going to be crazy.
Who you got is we're taking Batman
against people in fights.
We're matching Batman up
against some of the most formidable
characters in all of fandom
and we're having conversations about who will win.
And I got to tell you, based upon what
happened on the G-chat
of the G-chat on the
text thread about this
this is going to be contentious
because Jomey's all out of pocket.
That's not true. I'm the only one with
common sets! I'm the only one
who sees the vision!
All right, it's fine. I'm not talking about it.
Okay, let's start a Batman Bingo, Steve T us up.
Let's get into it. All right.
So with the Batman just over a week away,
we are going to be constructing the ultimate
ringer-verse audience Batman
Bingo card. This is based on
what we think is like,
to happen or what we predict might happen in this new movie. These scenarios can be big or small,
but if we think it's going to happen in this movie, we're going to add it to this bingo card.
Each Midnight Boy is going to have five slots to fill with scenarios, big or small, each for a row
in the bingo card. The final row is going to be left to you guys, the fans, to fill out what you
think might happen in it. So with that, without further to do, we're going to start with Charles
and make your square, your first square,
what do you think is going to be happening in the Batman?
I'm going to go big for this one.
You know, I'm putting on my tinfoil hat, okay?
I'm joining the Illuminati.
Shout out to that.
I think, sneakily,
there's going to be court of owls shenanigans.
Interesting.
Hmm?
Interesting.
Because, all right, I'm going to read you the premise.
This is on Wikipedia.
This is the short, like, two sentence.
They said, during the second year of fighting crime,
Batman pursues the Ridler,
a serial killer who targets elite Gotham City,
citizens. He uncovers corruption
that connects his own family
during the investigation
and is forced to make new allies
to catch the riddler and bring the corrupted justice.
Corruption.
What we know from the comics,
there's a secret history of Gotham.
Would it be wild if the riddler
seems like the villain at first,
but he's actually trying to get
Batman to realize that there's something more insidious
underneath the city's history and it's the court of vows.
I know this is like this is tinfoil hat shit,
but that's going to be my first bag.
Now, do you think that this is going to be like the main,
the big bad of this or is it more of a like,
I think for the unannitiated that people,
that you guys should plot out the court of aisles and the whole arc
and let people know what's going on with it.
Because I think there are a lot of people right now that think
they were talking about some weird
hourly type shit.
The Outer showing up for a while here.
The court of owls was created
on one of Scott
Snyder's Batman runs
and truthfully it's like
ironically we've been talking about the Marvel
Illuminati. They're like the Illuminati
of Gotham City. They are
a bunch of families who have been
controlling the city and
its power structure for decades
upon decades, all of these rich
and influential families. It's
a great comic. You should read the court of ours.
I don't think that they're, to Steve's
point, I don't think they're going to be the big bad.
I think they potentially could be
setting up a long game
for a potential trilogy, where
Ridler still is the villain,
but Batman realizes potentially
his parents and his parents' parents
were involved in something that was bigger than him.
Interesting. Interesting.
And you're seeing some clues, right?
This movie seems to be
taking aim at one of the
major, major threads
that Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy built up,
which is the virtue of the Wayne family.
The Wayne family in Christopher Nolan's trilogy
were these unflappable white saviors.
Every time Batman couldn't do something,
he'd think, what would my father want me to do?
My dad, it's my dad.
And if you were going to differentiate your Batman,
from the Batman that had come just prior,
one thing that you would do, that you would do,
should I say, would I maybe muck it up a little bit?
And might you see Thomas Wayne or the Wayne family
as a big contributed to this quarter ofiles?
Could they be behind it?
No.
See, I thought you guys were going to say, you know,
I'm out of, I'm out of pocket.
I'm out of my mind.
No, no, no, no, no.
This is fun.
I like this.
Anything is possible in this new Batman universe.
So we're open to all of it.
Yeah, for sure.
All right, who's up next?
Who's next?
All right, Jomey.
Let's do Jomey.
What do you think might happen here?
It's my turn.
What's on the bingo card?
Charles, you know,
introduced a big, heavy plot point.
I'm going to bring it back to some little, you know,
less, you know,
heavy on the story.
I think that Batman and Selena
are going to go on a little date, you know.
They're going to, you know,
drink some red on whatever river
is in Gotham and, you know, just talk to each other and enjoy some dinner and chat.
You know, a little flirting, you know, a little, you know, one-on-one conversation.
How do you classify a date here?
How would you put this, pinpoint this?
So maybe it's not like a dinner date, but, you know, they're out on the town, you know,
I'm saying?
Maybe they go, like, they're dancing, you know, they're like, you know, like, there's a,
you know, like a, there's a ball.
And, you know, he spots her from across the room.
and he goes up and they do a little,
little, you know, one, two waltz,
you know what I'm saying? And they look longling to each other's
eyes and they're like, wow, you seem familiar.
Do I know you? It's like, nah, I've never seen before my life.
You know, some little, little sweet.
I think basically, like,
they have a-
Do you mean exactly what happened at Batman Returns?
Maybe.
You mean, like, you mean the exact scene for Batman Returns?
And Dark Night Rises.
All right, Jordan Night Rises.
It's like the same thing that happens in every movie.
Yes.
I have a question for you.
What's up?
Can you please describe to me your last date?
Because just the way you were talking about it,
what was the last time you took a pretty lady out on a date?
Set the scene for us.
We went to the beach.
It was nice.
It was nice and warm out there.
We got churros.
Ooh, okay.
And we walked the beach and we just talked about, you know,
we talked about us, you know, like, you know, how what I was doing,
what she was doing, you know, how she was.
it's been how I've been.
You know what I'm saying?
And then I got some, we got some shrimp.
You know, we got some,
we went and we got some shrimp,
fried shrimp.
And it was pretty cool.
Did you take her to your apartment after
and watch Agents of Shield with her?
Well, you know,
oh man,
look at the time.
Wow.
I gotta get going.
That's crazy.
It's terrible.
I don't know about this,
Joe,
me.
I think that's a little too,
I know this is rated PG-13,
but that's two PG for this Batman.
Oh, he's so one of my squares.
Steve has a thought here.
And I think with that, I will bring it to my prediction.
Yeah.
On my bingo card, the bad and the cat are going to have sex.
Oh, this is straight up.
He's blown that back out.
This bat and this cat are having, are having sex.
All right.
Now here.
Now listen.
Oh, no, no, no.
You guys, let me and Steve talked about this already.
I don't think you're going to see a sex scene between Batman and Catwalk movies.
Listen, this is a PG-13 movie.
I understand.
I know that you can't be going crazy like that.
That's not what I'm talking about here.
You guys, I don't think that they're going to have sex in the movie.
That's why I said it.
It's going to be a little cute date thing.
I don't want to hear anything from you during this square
because I saw one of your tweets today
and I was going to...
I was about to a ballast.
I don't want to talk about that.
I don't want to discuss that.
That's a whole different thing.
There's been some controversy.
Dog, I was about to block my man.
I don't want to talk about that.
Okay.
It's been a little controversy.
His lawyers said
We can't talk about this.
The lawyers put the gag order real.
You really should have.
You should have been like,
buy the book January 22nd.
Right.
I should have.
I should have said that under there.
But I don't think that they could show them having sex.
I don't think they'll have sex.
I think that's a good call.
It's not about showing them having sex.
It's about like at least heavily implying that they did.
Either they wake up together.
You see like they pan down to a shot of ankles.
You see a cow fall.
You see a cat mask fall.
Van, it's the implication.
Okay, so let's count the times that Batman has had sex on screen.
He had sex with Talia.
Yes.
Yes.
He had sex with Vicki Vale.
Okay.
Yes.
Him and Vicki Vale had sex.
Did he have sex with anybody else in the Nolan trilogy?
How many times did Batman have sex with him?
I don't think so.
It was implied with Catwoman.
It was implied.
When?
When they were at dinner at brunch?
When they went to Paris and all that?
Yeah.
I mean, it's a wow, Charles.
Wow.
Tox.
Toxin.
Whoa.
Because the implication.
I would assume that they had sex at some point in Paris.
A man and a woman going to trip together and they eat together.
And Charles was like, girl, if I bring you a Paris, you go.
All right.
Alfred looked at them like, oh, happily ever after.
Maybe I'm sorry that I assume that they were in a loving.
Because he's like, oh, you're back from the dead.
Yeah.
Wait, all right.
This is an important question before we get on to this.
the next square.
Sure.
Does Batman keep the cowl on during sex?
I think Cal stays on.
Come on guys.
Have some respect.
We've seen him.
We've seen him.
He's not going to leave the Cowlorn.
And actually, I think he keeps the Cowlone.
No, I don't.
I actually don't because I think,
because this is not a spoiler because it's in the trailer.
The Ridler says Bruce Wayne's name in reference to Batman.
So it might be known that this is his identity.
think maybe if we if the relationship between the two of uh of them grow i think he might be fine with
selina knowing his identity yeah and that could be i mean a lot of batman's road gallery knows who he is
right well not a lot but a couple of them okay so this is my thing i think you're going to get this
my prediction i think you're going to get joker talk in this movie after he is teased in some way
or he is speaking the joker is going to be teased in some way the joker is going to be
referenced in some way.
The Joker is going to be a part
of this film in some
way because
this is the one thing
that a Batman franchise has
to do. Snyder attempted
to do it and I still
am the last man on
the Jared Letto Joker Hill.
I like it. Literally. It's just you.
It's just you.
Even Jared Letto got off that ledge
a while ago. Come on. I
liked Jared Letto as the Joker.
I thought that it worked.
I thought that it could have been
a different take on the character.
I thought he paired very well
with Batfleck.
I enjoyed it.
Okay.
I liked it.
Okay.
W.B.
At some point,
what happened to Heath
was terrible, right?
What went down with Heath was terrible.
And Heath and Biden
that roll it away
that no one else really has.
They have to at some point
get back on the horse
with letting us see the Batman
versus the Joker
in a live action film.
I'm not talking about
in the injustice timeline.
I'm not talking about all that stuff
that went on.
I'm talking about
Batman versus the Joker
for two hours on screen.
We have to get back to that.
And I think this is the franchise
that has to bring us back.
Another actor has got
to try to get no shoes.
It has to happen.
So I think we're going to get that
in the sequel to this movie.
I think they're going to set it up in this one.
That's actually interesting.
I guess I can't put this one down anymore,
but one of my things was the Joker is going to be in the movie.
Oh, just straight up, he'll be in it.
Just straight up, be in the movie.
Maybe not like as the villain, but, you know,
they'll, like, pad over, the camera will pat over
and there'll be some dude with the smile and a laugh and whatever.
Because we remember that, like, that famous tease of the Joker card
and Batman Begins.
Like, that was just like a easy tee up for the next movie.
But I think that's more to Vance Square.
But I'll, I got more.
It's cool.
But, like, we're on the scene.
same page, Van. I think the Joker
will make either an appearance
or be referenced in the film.
Oh, we definitely getting some Joker.
So Joker tease for Vans, Roe.
All right, we're back up to Charles now.
Ooh.
You know what I think is going to happen?
I think we're going to get some gentrification talk.
You know what? You know what? Yeah.
I think Catwoman
is just going to be like,
I can't believe I'm in love
with the white man. You've destroyed my
home. You know what I'm saying? Frank Miller,
Batman here won. I think we're going to get
a lot of that because people forget
you know, Batman comes back from training.
He sees Catwoman.
She's a lady of the night
per se. They get into a fight.
Whatever. I think we're going to get a lot of
Selena Kyle just being like, hey, rich
white boy, you're destroying
the real city.
I think that's
actually a fair critique
of Bruce Wayne in general
that has been hit on quite a bit.
That he's a white man?
No, that he's a rich guy that, like, he could do a lot more with philanthropy
that he ever could do as Batman.
Yeah.
And, like, people are like...
I don't like that.
That's not true.
Well, no, because it's not true, man.
People can think that.
I mean, philanthropy is not going to keep the Joker out of the streets.
Sure.
Killing the Joker would keep him off the streets and we're being real.
Yeah, that's the best philanthropy you could do.
First of all, philanthropy is a poor elixir to social dysfunction.
You just can't...
give enough.
Like, you can't give enough
to undo social dysfunction
and income inequality
and all of those things.
Like, anytime somebody
say, oh, fuck it,
I'm going to use this system
and then get rich
and then just give all the money back.
Well, dummy,
the time that you're building up
all of your wealth,
the income inequality
is dooming people to lives
of crime and all of that stuff,
but I'm not going to get political on you guys.
So I don't like the Batman
gives back thing.
I think Batman is giving back
by being the shit
of criminal.
He's given
less of rights
is what he's given.
And I'm going to
and I'm going to be honest with you.
And I'm going to be honest with you.
He's got the Wayne Foundation.
He's got a couple of things.
But really,
there should be no Bruce Wayne
in a place like Gotham
where it's all poor
and he's got like $150 billion.
That's a bad look.
It's a bad look.
But if there has to be,
the least you could do
is go and kick the Joker
in his ass one time.
But Charles, you got,
you're going to push it back.
Push back.
I'm going to push back.
All right.
Here's,
if we're talking about it.
about comics. My only issue here is
is that if Batman was a real ally,
he would have some black and brown people in the
Bat family to be like, oh, hold up, hold up,
Batman, Batman. You're wilding.
You ever heard of Lucius Fox?
He don't got a costume?
At best, at best, he's on the bench.
You don't got, you don't got,
we can't get a Black Robin.
I don't know.
Is that a weird look? I don't know.
Is that a weird look?
Why can't there be a Black Robin?
I'm gonna be real with you all the way.
I just gotta keep it all the way real.
You know, the Midnight riders and Midnight Mob or a family.
I'm gonna be real.
They made Tim Drake Black and Titans.
And the first thing I said to myself was,
I don't know if that's real.
And I'll tell you why.
I mentor a lot of kids.
You know, I've mentored them in the past,
mentor them now.
If you get a kid, you bring them to your crib,
your crib is nice.
They don't really think about leaving with you.
to go fight crime.
I can't think of very many
kids.
But I know that after getting out
of a violent situation, like where they come
from, are going to be like, you know what I'm
going to do?
I'm going to fucking dress up
now and come with you
and fight crime.
I don't know. Look, I imagine
Bruce Wade has a pretty good sales pitch
for how to... Not really, bro.
Like, think about it.
Them Robins be wanting to be robin.
They'd be wanting to go back and fight crime.
And like, it's not, we don't be fighting crime like that, bro.
I'm just going to be honest with you.
All right, then.
I'm just to be honest with you.
All right.
We don't be fighting crime like that.
No, come on.
I mean, we don't be fighting crime like that.
So I'll mark this as checking Bruce's privilege.
How about that?
Yes.
Checking Bruce's privilege.
All right.
Moving on.
Who's next?
All right, my turn.
And this one is, this is a big one for me.
I'm not going to hold you guys.
I tweeted about this earlier this year
This is a two hour and 55 minute movie
I'm gonna, it's long
I don't want to see this
but I'm trying to jinx myself
I'm trying to make sure this doesn't happen
so I'm gonna say it right here
We see Thomas and Martha Wayne die
Oh, it's happening
Yeah, ain't no way
It's happening. Is that the free space?
Is that the free space?
There's no way.
It's happening. It's happening.
I didn't think it was going to happen
It's happening for sure.
If we see Thomas and Martha Wayne die
again for the 50 11th time.
I'm gonna be sick.
I have so many different permutations of what to do
with the Wayans on this bingo card.
I was like, do we see the pearl necklace?
Do we see a portrait of the Wains?
Do we see a gravestone?
Well, what constitutes seeing them die?
If you're telling me that you're,
I'm saying like a, I'm like a flashback.
So you're gonna see them, you're gonna see them,
you're gonna see them in Crime Alley.
Yes.
Actually.
Get shot.
So I don't, I think you're going to see them not in that way.
It takes a lot of nuts at this point to give us that scene again, right?
For the millions of time.
For the millionth time.
You're going to get it in some way, but I don't think they're going to be,
they're going to be in crime alley.
I think it might be like a flashback.
So what counts?
If there's a flashback to Bruce's kid hands covered in blood,
if you see the pearls, if like, what's, if I see?
If I see bodies, right?
If maybe it's a dream and he's just like in between them with pearls,
trade and like the camera pans up, you know,
and it's just him going like, no, or whatever, you know,
anything that resembles us going back in time
and seeing a baby Bruce with Thomas and Martha.
A photo is cool, like on the wall.
Photo don't count.
They used to live here.
And I know that you, and I know you want to jinx this.
I feel like the movie's going to be smarter than that.
I think it's going to be.
Matt Reeves is way too smart to go back to that well
because he knows we're at the point where we're like not.
I predict to see like a gravestone or something.
I think that's a reasonable assumption.
And that's fine.
That's okay.
But if I have to like,
if we have to spend any second of this film.
Like, could we see something different that leads up to that?
Like,
could we see Thomas Wayne giving Martha Wayne a pearl necklace?
Shut up, man.
Come on now.
No, I don't think, I don't think that could.
Shut up, fan.
They would have to,
Shut up, man.
They would have to be perishing.
It would have to be their last moments.
God damn it.
Any illusion of that, I'm going to be upset.
We've seen it too many times.
Like, I want better for our people.
Let's not spend two hours and 55 minutes
watching Thomas and Martha Wayne die again.
Wait, can we also be real?
What's, like, they keep making aging
of Batman, but it's hilarious in every movie.
They're like, they went to go see Zorro.
Like, what kid is like,
I want to see Zorro did it.
Like that does it happen?
What you mean?
The Mask of Zoro, Antonio Banderas.
If they go see the Antonio Banderas movie?
That's what a 30-year-old, he's 30 in this movie.
That's what a 30-year-old, like I'm almost 30, was going to see back that?
No, come on.
He would be seeing like the lie.
Wait a minute.
So if he's 30 in this movie, that means he was born in 92, right?
The Mask of Zorro comes out like 96, 97.
That was a big deal.
That was a big deal.
A four-year-old would not be.
I wasn't being like,
I want to go see
the best of a...
No, come on.
Are you like a Disney?
He'd be like seeing
like Toy Story or something.
Oh, but they're not going to go as a family
after like,
get all dressed up to go see Toy Story or whatever.
Yeah, wasn't it the whole thing
that went to like an opera or like a show?
Opera or something like that, yeah.
And he was scared of the...
I mean, it's still wild that somebody ran up on them
and was trying to steal pearls.
Like, what are you going to do with pearls?
Like...
Let's go, Charles.
Make your point.
Make your pick here.
No, it's not.
No, it's mine, actually.
It's Steve.
It's mine.
This one's, this one's.
super specific, but I feel like it's going to be a staple of
Batman. Some random
goon will say, it's the bat.
That's a weird. Like, it's just a thing that I keep seeing.
And I love it when it happens. It's always a good
specific. It's a highly specific word, but somebody will be like,
it's the bat. That's good. That's good.
Rest and piece of those goons. Like, they don't actually die.
Shout out to, I know we've all seen that clip of the smartest
goon in Gotham City. Have you ever, has everybody seen this?
I have not to know. It's the greatest.
It's the greatest clip I've ever seen of Batman.
Batman's like investigating a dark apartment.
He's trying to look for clues for something.
And like there are these two goons posted outside of the apartment.
And like they're searching the place coming for Batman or something.
And he comes in and he's just like, all right,
I'll check this room and I'll be back in a second.
And he turns and he just stares Batman dead in the face.
And they just look at each other for like 10 seconds.
And then he just closes the door and leaves.
Yeah, like I wouldn't like the thing with Batman is,
Batman's not going to kill you.
But he's going to break your arm.
He's going to break your legs.
Like all the medical bills, you got to pay a guy from General
going to put you in bankruptcy.
And you have to like just keep living a life of goonery.
You know what I'm saying?
It's a vicious cycle.
And to be honest with you, I always wondered about that.
If Batman is so nice and so caring about not killing people,
like me and Kalika have watched Batman movies before and be like,
yo, that guy's never going to walk again.
Like, honestly, like Batman.
just threw that guy off, like, on his spine.
Uh-huh.
Like, Batman just like, that, that dude's never going to, like,
being like, now talk.
Like, kick people in his, kick people dead in the middle of they back.
Well, remember.
In Batman versus Superman, the dude, like, when he went in that warehouse fight,
dudes was bleeding from their head.
Oh, that was different.
Oh, that was a different.
He was murdering people.
He was killing people.
No, that was definitely killing people.
Honestly, it's still, it's still wild in retrospect that we let Snyder get away with a Batman just
killing people.
I'm fine with it in hindsight.
I feel like I don't think that's the character.
That makes no sense.
At that point, he's the Punisher.
Like, it makes no sense.
I liked it.
I thought Batman had had enough of the bullshit.
He was driving around in the Batmobile.
The Batmobile was armored out with all types of turrets on it,
just blowing people away.
And also, he just, he was sick of the dumb shit.
I just like a Batman that's sick of it.
All right.
That makes no sense.
because the Joker was running around.
Why was Batman killing all the goons?
And it was like, all right, we're getting the Joker out of here first.
I don't know if he got to a joke.
You probably would have killed him.
Okay, cool. Who's next?
Vans turn for a prediction.
Okay.
My prediction is something that has to do with the new Alfred, Andy Circus.
Oh, love this.
So let me tell you something here.
Andy Circus is a strapping Alfred.
All right?
He's a strapping young Alfred.
We've seen him get down already.
as Ulysses Claw in Black Panther
and also in Age of Ultron,
I think we are going to get
in this movie at some point
a badass Alfred
hand-to-hand combat scene.
I really wrote this down.
I wrote Alfred punches somebody.
I think Albert,
I think somebody is going to test Alfred.
Somebody is going to test the
Pippa-Pippeworth
and they are going to get the ass made
change of
I think we're going to see that in this movie.
Not Alford, decrepit Alfred,
breaking the chair over somebody's head
or, you know, like being the guy in the chair.
All of that's great.
I'm talking about I think this Alfred is going to get down at some point.
Hit him in a one two piece.
Hit somebody with two piece extra crispy.
Let you know, I was, look, yo, man,
I was special forces in the Kingsman or whatever he was in.
I was special.
This is me, Alfred.
Bang, bang.
You know what I'm saying?
Or maybe you get a weird little training montage with Alfred and Bruce Wayne doing a little hand-to-handy.
A little sparring.
A little sparring.
But I think you're going to see Alfred get down to this movie.
You want to know what I want to strike from the record from every single appearance from Alfred.
Every single movie that you watch Alfred, he always has something to say about like one of Bruce Wayne's relationships.
It's like every single time.
He's just like, are you going to settle down with her?
Like it happened in the Burton films.
it had in Nolan films.
It happened in the fuck
his Schumacher films.
I'm like, God damn.
Like, why does Alfred care at a certain point?
Well, it's like your father, right?
Yeah, this is dad.
Yeah, this is dad.
What should mean?
But for, in every single movie,
he's like, you should tell this,
this woman that you just met a couple weeks ago,
your secret identity.
I'm like, Alfred.
Really?
Well, it's like, your dad,
your dad keeps seeing you go out there,
putting your life in danger.
Like, listen, you had a nice woman behind you,
you know what I'm saying?
You would go, you'd be like,
hey, I got something to live for.
I don't need to be.
risking my life for all this for all this.
You know what I'm saying?
I can go home.
Also, Alfred,
Alfred has a better understanding
of the Wayne lineage
and the,
he was with Thomas Wayne for a long time.
He wants that to keep going.
It wants Bruce to get busy.
So you're telling me the best thing for Bruce
is for Bruce to,
in every movie,
tell whoever is love interest is,
his secret identity.
That seems like the worst thing that you could do.
But that's what,
that's what Alfred tells him in everything.
He's trying to put influence on him
to just finally give up being Batman.
Like,
that's all he's.
ever wanted is for Bruce to stop being
Batman. He told one
girl that, right? And it was
very funny. He just popped up
at Vicki Vail was in the back cave.
In the next movie, he's like, who let
Big Vighechville in the Batcave? I look up
and there she is right there. You'll tell to me about
security. You know what I mean? But
Alfred, he's just his dad. He wants what's best for
the kid. Yeah.
I need a crotchy. I mean
a crotchy, Alfred. You want a
crotchety, like old stuffy, Alfred?
Oh, yeah. Charles, up to be your next one.
Oh, man.
All right.
This is going
off Jomies.
Do I think
that they're going to show
the actual death?
No.
But I think there's all
but confirmed.
We're definitely getting a
montage where like a tortured
Bruce is listening to
Nirvana and taking the gun
that killed his parents
and fashioning it
into the bat symbol.
Like that's just going to happen.
What do I put on the bingo square?
He's turning.
I think there's all but confirmed.
He's turning the gun
that killed his parents
into the bat symbol.
Okay.
Gun into that's probably how
they're going to get
a,
from showing the actual death.
They're just going to allude to it.
But I have so many questions about this because I'm just like,
how did a young Bruce get the gun that killed his parents?
Like, who keeps that?
He bought it at an auction or something like that.
Why would they be auctioning off a gun that killed the Wains?
No, it's evidence.
And up next for the historical society,
we have the gun that shot the Wains.
That would have.
Do a starting bid 4,000?
Jesus Christ.
This episode is brought to you by Borris Head.
What if we told you the taste of deep fried turkey is now available at your local deli?
Well, Borishead just did that.

All right.
my third for the bingo square
the Batman
disappears out of nowhere
in front of Commissioner Gordon
I feel like that's a lot
Oh yeah yeah yeah
That's Jome that's cheating
That's of course that's gonna happen
I think we've seen I think we saw that in one of the trailers
Dude that's a soft prediction Jumby
Jumby
That's like that's a that's a
But wait
That's like saying Stefan Curry's gonna hit a three this game
Like yeah of course that's his job
I said that because it's always part of
my favorite bits in every Batman
media, because it
makes no sense how
a grown man can just vanish.
Like you blink and he's gone.
Wait, what are you talking about? It doesn't make sense.
And then he's gone when you're back.
Have you seen magic before,
Jomey?
Fair.
Like,
have you ever seen a coin trick ever?
Also, I will say this
that, to be honest with you,
it seems as if
Gorn puts himself into a position to have
this happen? Because he always turns
away from Batman and goes on a soliloquy.
Like he continues to do this thing
over and over and over again. Well, he'll
look up at Gotham and be like,
I mean, what we have to do is make
sure we get him to this particular part of the
city and blah, blah, blah, blah. And then when he turns around,
Batman's gone. Just look, make
eye contact with Batman. It's still rude.
While you're talking to him. Stop turning
around. It's not rude. It's what
ninjas do. Batman is a ninja.
The ninjas disappear.
That's what they did. The turtles during the
boring part.
the monologue is when they disappear.
But like it takes like
a half second. And you'd be like
man, the weather's looking crazy. Oh,
oh, you're gone. Like you've completely
like no trace
just disappeared. It's insane.
That's great. It's great and I love it.
All right, it's my turn. I'll go with
teases here with this one. This isn't the same
vein as Vans' Joker
tease. I think I'll go a tad more broad.
We will be in Arkham Asylum
and we will see other villains's
names on Cell Doors.
Damn.
Damn, I thought...
How was mine soft?
I gotta be honest with you guys.
Y'all, y'all fucking around.
We will see...
We will see Arkham Asylum.
Okay, my next one is we're going to go to Gotham City.
That's my prediction.
That's my prediction for the movie.
My prediction for a movie is Alfred will be in the movie.
These are my predictions.
Like, yeah.
It's a bingo card.
Arkham Asylum will be in the movie.
the movie. Yes. Steve, you're right.
Okay. The specific thing of teasing villains via
cell door names. Like we don't even see it.
Teasing villains being, okay,
that's a little bit more specific. Right. Teasing villains in cells.
I mean, uh, Reeves has said that
he's been thinking of Mr. Freeze
for the next movie, which
do you think we'll see Mr. Freeze on one of these doors? Oh, I hope
so. Mr. Freeze would be such a cool villain.
So cool. If he's done right, he's so great for, for
that villain. Matt's Bickleson.
Matt's Bickleson. Yeah, that'd be great.
That's freeze? That's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
Put one of Christoph Waltz. A couple ones.
Christoph, Chris, Christoph Wals will be good, too.
Wait, I'm tired of Christoph Walsh is the big bad. This is a good, uh, question.
If you could pick the villain for the next movie, who would it be?
And you can't pick the Joker. We can't pick the Joker. We can't. I've, I've really
fantasized about a cool clay face.
like,
I would love a Clayface.
I would love a Clayface done well.
Like, but he's just like some like insane actor
that's just like fucking with his face
and then like the finale is just like
you get like an end of Indiana Jones level
face melting stuff.
That'd be awesome.
Like Dark Horse Fick?
Yeah.
What?
My Dark Horse Big?
Kite man.
Hell yeah.
If Lord and Miller do it, that'd be great.
Clayface is pretty good.
From the animated series,
he was always like a real Thorne and Batman side
so Playface would be cool.
If I couldn't pick Freeze, I would go,
I always wanted to know
how that Ben Affleck Deathstroke movie would have been.
I feel like if you get out of me so far,
Deathstroke, yeah.
That shit would be incredible.
I got me honest with you.
In a live action movie,
besides the Joker,
I think Deathstroke has the biggest,
I think Deathstroke could make for the illest Batman villain.
That's great.
It could be really.
really, really good.
Deathstroke played a very specific way,
not played by the fucking guy from True Blood.
I thought that wasn't very good.
Not great.
But I think
with the action sequences you could get
with Deathstroke's planning
and tactical ability,
with how he could be a minis,
I think Deathstroke is underused
in live action, man.
That's some Winter Soldier level stuff.
Yeah, I think Deathstroke could be great.
I think Deathstroke could be great.
And they can let him keep his white eye.
So, so,
he keep the white eye.
He keep the white eye.
So yeah, villains and cells.
That's what I think we'll see.
All right, Van, you're up.
I think Batman will have a panic attack in this movie.
Oh.
Oh.
Yeah.
I think this whole movie is one big panic attack for Batman.
Specifically, this is what I mean.
This is what we never think about being Batman.
It's very, very taxing.
You know, they try to show us,
but I think this movie more than anything is going to show us
how taxing it can be to be the bat.
And I think watching his mental health kind of fray a little bit
and watching him come apart a little bit is going to be,
in the day and age that we live in,
trying to do anything that's more important in you is very difficult.
And I think we're going to see just how conflicted he is
and just how affected he is by what he's doing
and about what's going through his head.
So I think at some point during this movie,
you're going to see Batman
have it all be too much for him mentally
and you're going to see a breakdown
slash panic attack of some sort.
Okay, I like that.
All right, we were getting too comfortable with this.
Everybody's just like picking obvious it,
so I'm going to go off the deep end.
I think he's going to impregnate Catwoman.
Whoa.
All right.
What?
All right.
It's not the worst thing.
It's like, think about it.
Think about it.
He did do that.
did do that.
It's not going to happen
in this movie.
Can you imagine?
Can you imagine they put Zoe Kravitz
in her first role as Catwoman
and then at the end she's got a bit
bat in the oven?
I don't think they're,
I don't think they're going to do that
in this movie.
But they might eventually explore.
I thought they might set it up.
They might set it up.
You might have like a kid that he doesn't know about.
No.
Guys,
we're getting too comfortable with the bingo.
I mean,
if you whaling a little bit.
Oh, my wilding.
birth, having a child
is beautiful, okay? Does Batman not
deserve the beauty of life? That's not what I meant. What do you have
against kids, Jomey? I like kids. Kids are cool.
Kids love me. You know, I'm great with the
children. What I'm saying is
it's a little bit early in this story to be, you know, pumping out
bat babies. Well, to be fair, it is a three
and a half hour or a three hour movie.
So, you know, come the end of this thing. They could have
a baby. They could raise it, send it to college
with how long this is. Yeah, and one whole movie.
All right, who's next?
All right, that'll be Jomey.
The Batman fights the riddler with no cow.
No mask.
Final Showdown, no cow.
Final showdown, no cow.
Now, I'm trying to think here in all of the Batman movies that we have seen,
I feel like he got, he ripped his cow off at some point in Batman returns,
which disturbed us when he did that.
because it shouldn't be that easy rip off that easy.
Somebody else should have ripped it off a long time ago.
He ripped his cow off.
But other than that, I don't think, and help me out if I am wrong.
He got it broke in Dark Night, Dark Night Rises when he was fine.
But that was at the end of the fight.
He got beat up.
He got clapped.
He was fucking done.
Let me tell you something.
I have never, ever, ever in life felt as,
that two times I felt bad for a superhero in a fight.
one was when Bain was just whooping Batman's
ass and talking mad shit to him.
We should revisit that scene here on the Midnight Boys.
He was talking like, I went into theater.
I'm like, yo, man, how did he just go let Batman get fucked over like this?
No, wait, the scene, when Nolan, when he, Bain is punching his head,
and all you hear is the talk, talk, talk, like I was like, God, damn.
Like the cracking of the math.
No music.
You merely adopted the dark.
I was born by it,
bolded by it.
Impressive.
I didn't see the light till I was blinding.
Oh, you think darkness is your ally.
You're like,
we used to translate it.
You think darkness is your ally?
Oh, motherfucker.
You thought cutting out the lights was going to help you?
First of all, it wasn't that dark when he cut the lights out.
It's just like a little bit darker.
you just like had Alexa dim the lights down.
We got to be able to see the fight scenes.
I mean, it's also crazy.
Bain had his boys up there just looking at
just watching.
Just watching him beat Batman's ass.
Hey, don't jump in.
I got this.
Don't jump in.
You ever see that fight?
People will be fighting.
Hey, bro, I got them.
Don't jump in.
And just beat him up and then took his thing.
And the other one I felt bad for
and I felt mad about this was when
was when Bucky and I,
Bucky and Kat beat the shit out of Ironman.
man, first of all, that would never happen.
And in Civil War, it never happened.
Never.
In Civil War, the actual comic book, Tony Stark, the suit itself just clean Cap up.
Cleaned him up.
He's no way that they could be Iron Man in the suit.
It was so stupid.
I was very upset.
I almost walked out of the theater.
Like, I was so mad because what was supposed to, like, in Civil War, he, Cap tries to fight
the suit is analyzing his attack patterns
and just beating the dog shit out of him,
which is what would happen to him.
Remember in the movie,
after he dispatches with Bucky,
his suit does that.
And he does it for a second.
But he starts giving Cap the business
until like the last thing that goes on.
But for the most part,
that kind of does happen,
like, toward the end of that fight.
They overpower Cap.
We'll talk about this in another podcast.
the overpower cap.
Cap was in the motherfucking thing,
holding fucking helicopters
and shit like that.
Captain America can't do all of that.
I just want you to want to y'all know that.
Wait, Captain America can't hold a helicopter?
You can't buy a hip-up helicopter?
No.
All right, man.
I'm not letting you get that off.
No, bro.
The Super Soldier serum gets Steve Rogers
to peak human performance.
It does not take Steve Rogers,
comic book Steve Rogers,
to meta-human.
It does not.
The Super Soldier Serum took Steve Rogers
and got him to pete human performance.
He's struggling to hold the helicopter.
I believe that Captain America with the Super Soldier serum
could hold a helicopter if not like dispatch it.
And that's what happens to the fucking movie.
So let me ask you a question.
You think his motherfuckers right now on Earth
that could hold that helicopter?
I think LeBron James could do it.
Shut up.
Oh!
Next.
Yeah.
No.
All right.
All right.
Is it my go?
It's my turn.
It's my turn.
Okay.
Oh, all right.
This is a classic Batman staple.
Bruce Wayne will be at a party and a group of rich women will fall on over him.
Okay.
That's definitely probably going to happen.
Well, can be off with you?
I don't know.
He could be a loner.
So look, that's interesting.
I don't know if we're going to get Playboy Wayne in this one.
It doesn't seem like they're going that right.
Have you guys seen anything that denotes that the,
I mean, all the reading
That's actually a solid prediction
To be honest with you, because they haven't
Tipped their hand at all that they're going to
dive into that at all. All the reading I've done
in the trailers makes it seems like he's been
like a recluse of sorts.
Like he's like the aviator type shit. Like he's been
up in Wayne Manor people. I think there's
one trailer where a woman is just
like, where have you been when the city
needed you? Also, the reason
this might be tricky and this is
one of my favorite artists of all time, but
Bruce kind of looks like,
Pete Wentz in this?
Like he looks like he's going to his chemo face.
Like he got the like hair in front of his eyes and shit.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute.
You did not just say that this is one of your favorite arts of all time.
Pete once is one of my favorite arts of all time.
Like don't disrespect Pete once or fall up boy.
But I'm just saying he looks like he looks like he's been listening to a lot of my chemical
romance.
So I don't know if the women are like, eh, it's all right.
You're trying to tell me that my chemical romance didn't have hose because I bet they did.
Oh, my chemical romance.
All right.
Did have hose.
Did the people like
Bruce Wayne walks in
to the club with hair
in front of one eye
soaking in the fucking corner
do you think all the women are like
yeah man I need me a piece of that
I mean maybe like 2007
I don't know what you want right now
wouldn't it be great if this movie took place in 2007
Gotham it would be crazy
if it did if it did
2007 Gotham revisit they had like
Team Mobile sidekicks
yeah
Jesus Christ God
All right, who's next?
All right.
So this is my last one.
So I want to think about
Batman's specific relationship
to Gotham City in this
situation, right?
Not so much Bruce Wayne's relationship
to Gotham City.
Batman's relationship to Gotham City.
I think in this movie,
Batman will have to
sacrifice himself in some way.
And when I say sacrifice himself,
I mean, he is going to realize
in this movie that the Batman persona
in some way is actually
less important in a singular way
than it is to be a part of the greater
Gotham community. He's going to have to sacrifice
a part of his heroism,
or he's going to have to make an actual sacrifice to save somebody else,
to save something or someone that is going to be at direct cross-purposes
with what the mission of the Batman is.
He's going to have to choose the people of Gotham
rather than his singular drive as Batman.
I think that's going to happen because I think that's a central theme
that gets explored sometimes.
I think they're going to explore that,
not just the Batman being a hero,
but the Batman himself
being a part of people who are trying to do the right now.
Okay, so we're calling this Batman chooses Gotham?
Batman chooses Gotham and not himself.
Okay.
I mean, that's part of his character, right?
Like, he does all this.
He fights and all dies.
Yeah, like almost kills himself every night for Gotham.
So I like this.
This is a pretty good one, man.
I think in Nolan's Batman,
the whole thing was that Batman singular as a symbol
as an Avenging angel was so important.
I think in this one,
Patterson's going to learn that Batman
is actually less important than he thinks he is.
He's important,
but Batman is less important than he thinks he is.
Okay.
Steve, can you swap out my square real quick
because I think this is actually going to happen?
We didn't talk about the Ridler.
I think we're going to get a brutal scene of serial killer
Ridler. Like I think we're going to get a scary scene of like a jigsaw trap or something.
Yeah, something's going to happen. Like Batman is going to swoop into like a hotel or something like
and see a bunch of dead bodies. Like I think it's going to get really grisles.
The trap. Yeah, it's going to get grisly for that motherfucker. Like we're going to be scared of
the riddler and like how gory that shit will get. Put that in instead of he's going to have a
bat baby. Because I think that will happen. We already, we already did that like 20 minutes ago. We
I'm like you already talked about that.
Swap it out.
I mean, he's like spom it up right now.
Swap it out.
Well, then you have to have another pick then
because this is your fifth and final.
Oh, we have another pick?
All right, then that's just going to be my new pick then.
Yeah, I think the Riddler is going to get busy.
Like there's going to,
the body count is going to be scary.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the beginning of the movie starts with
how many people the Riddler has killed.
Riddler murder spree then.
I'm genuinely curious as to how menacing
that they'll make this Riddler and make it serious.
I love Paul Dano and I love how menacing he can be,
but I really am excited at the opportunity to do the Riddler justice to make him medicine.
The Riddler, see, I agree with that.
Look, the Riddler to me was always the campiest of Batman's villains,
even campier than the Joker.
Really?
Yeah, because, you know, a guy that just never gets quite to the point.
He's always asking questions and Edward Nigma, is the name.
name and all of those things.
He was amongst the campier versions of Batman victims, you know,
excuse me, a Batman villain.
So I'm interested to turn that they have with him, Paul Dano, you know, makes sense.
I think Paul Dano's going to wear the bowler hat?
Yeah.
You think he's going to wear the bowler hat?
No, I do think so.
He's wearing Yeezys like all over.
Like he's just, he looks like he's off of a, uh, donner performance.
Yeah, maybe that's a one shot.
Who knows?
A shot.
You know.
You sees it.
I can see it.
All right.
My last one,
we mentioned him earlier
in the conversation,
but I think
Batman will meet
Lucius Fox in this movie.
You know,
because he's a year one bat,
right?
You know,
all this other stuff,
you know,
he's got the toys a little bit,
he's got the Batmobile.
He makes his own suit.
But eventually,
you know,
he's got to get help
from the big dog,
you know.
He's got to get like
the,
you know,
the fit,
you know, the actual, you know, a better Batmobile
than what he's rolling around where now.
So I think in some part of the movie,
he's gonna meet, like, he's gonna meet a brother, you know,
at Wayne Industries, be like, hey, man, I see you,
you'll see you going outside late night, you know,
doing all that superhero stuff, bro.
I ain't know, let me in on the enterprise.
I got you, you know, and that's gonna be, you know,
maybe it's not like a big part of the movie,
but that's gonna be in the film.
so if we get more Batman down the line,
we'll have his buddy Lucius.
I hope he gives him an Iron Man suit.
Like, I'm tired of these low-tech, like,
fucking Batman suits.
Like, I want, like, a juiced-out Batman,
high-tech suit.
I mean, that would be fun,
but I think it'd be a little overpowering for Batman.
No, they gave Spider-Man an Iron-Man suit.
They can give him one to Batman.
I don't think so.
I think part of Batman's whole thing
is like, yeah, I'm going to use
Croft McGa and Toaacondo
to beat these dudes up, you know, send these
dudes to the hospital. He doesn't need
you know, a robot arm or rockets
or whatever it is.
You think it's just a waste of who he is.
Like, Charles, in this entire thing,
I want you to stay loyal to
Batman's character and not
say outrageous things
about like...
Whoa, whoa. All right. This is
coming from the person who was like,
yeah, I didn't mind Batman
killing people in a Batman
versus Superman, if there's anything that's integral
to Batman as a character, it's him
not killing people after he saw his parents
murder. Guess what? I have no response.
How about that? How's that?
All right.
All right. Well, then here's mine. We mentioned
Paul Dano before. I really like him.
My prediction is that you don't cast Paul Dano
unless he is going to end up
crying and sniveling
like a punk at the end
of this movie. Almost all
of Paul Dano's iconic roles
have him losing
going out sad.
And I think Paul Dano's great, he's great at it.
He's a fantastic actor.
But the Riddler is going to end up like sniveling and going out sad.
Okay, so we're smoking the Riddler Pack when this is all said and done.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Riddler Packwatch.
Riddler going out sad.
I see it.
Oh, there's going to be a there will be blood moment in this?
Probably drainage.
Yeah, I think that could happen.
I always get that movie mixed up with gangs of New York for some reason.
I think it's the mustache.
Blood and Gangs of New York, what is there to confuse?
Daniel Day Lewis is in it. That's all that there is.
Here's the thing. If you showed me a picture of each of the movies, I wouldn't tell you
which one is which.
All right. That's really disrespectful. That's, that's really disrespectful.
Don't let Fantasy know that.
Gangs in New York is actually not great.
I'll be honest with you. Gaines, there would be blood might be the best movie ever saw.
That's a good one. It's an incredible. It's an incredible moment.
Well, you know my favorite point in there and there will be blood is?
What?
It's not even the part. It's the part where he sees the guy.
eyes at the restaurant.
Oh, that's really good. Yeah.
And he walks over to them.
He walks over to them,
see my boy over there.
We're taking oil out of the ground.
That's what we're doing.
And he's so drunk and all of his stuff.
Like he's standard.
He puts the thing over his head.
Standard tried to buy me for what I told him.
That's my favorite part.
I love that film.
Love it.
It's a great movie.
I had a lot of things picked out for this,
and some of them have to do with the future of Batman,
some of them have had to do with the past of Batman.
This one has to do, this has nothing to do with Batman.
This one has to do with Commissioner Gordon,
as played by Jeffrey Wright.
Now, they've done a bunch of different Commissioner Gordon's, right?
Like, they've done all kinds of Commissioner Gordon's.
I like to call him the commission.
Is he the commissioner yet in this movie?
I think we see Commissioner Gordon kills
a one in this movie.
Okay.
Okay.
Put in a cap to somebody.
Oh, actually, fact check.
It says here Gordon begins,
this is on Wikipedia,
as the GCPD lieutenant in the Batman
allowing his progression to commissioner
to be depicted in subsequent films.
So potentially,
do you think maybe he kills somebody
and that helps him,
like he becomes the hero that gets him?
He kills the commissioner to get the job.
just what he does.
That's a pretty Gotham way to do it.
Oh, no, actually, that could be right.
Like, the commissioner's too corrupt.
He's in league with the Riddler.
Quarter of out.
Maybe he kills the first out.
There you go.
It's levels.
It's levels.
There you go.
I like that, though, man.
That's a good one.
That is a good one.
I'm with it.
I'm with it.
Any post-credit scene predictions?
Joker.
I think Joker would be a little bit too on the nose.
I think they'll do that during the movie.
post-crediting predictions.
It's just so crazy that
I don't even know if we'll...
How about this?
Will there be a post-credit scene?
I don't think so.
Maybe Matt Reeve. Matt Reeves seems a little too arts.
He's like post-credit scene in my art flick, never.
Well, that and it's like, you know,
do you want to peel off the Marvel Handbook that much?
You know, if you're movie speaking.
They'd be a little bit better off.
They would follow the Marvel Hamble,
being honest, but that's another podcast.
That's another podcast.
That is another podcast.
I think there could be.
We're going to sit through the credits anyway
to see the names of all the incredible people
who make this film happen.
So hopefully, I think there might be
maybe some Mr. Freeze, you know,
get a little tease in there.
So yeah, I think there will be.
Well, that is our Batman prediction,
bingo cards, you know.
We were kind of all over the place with it, but look, this is what we're going through our minds.
We don't, I think the Bingo Cards display this.
We don't know what to expect for this movie.
This movie exists in a different world.
The rhythms of the storytelling are different.
We're not sure what the response to the film is going to be.
We're not sure what the anticipation of the film is.
This is really, really a movie that's existing in its own space in fandom in a way,
that I really haven't seen before.
It's not telling anything.
It's actually pairing things down
in a time where every single movie
in fandom is going bigger.
The Batman seems,
and tell me if I'm wrong, guys,
it seems to be going smaller.
Yeah.
Yeah, definitely.
100%.
100%.
Yeah.
So make sure to hit something on social
and give your Bingo card
for your chance to be on the official
Midnight Boys Biggo card.
That would be amazing, amazing accomplishment for you.

Now we're going to get to the part of the podcast and I'm really, I'm really interested in.
I'm going to be honest with you.
Predictions are great.
I love to have predictions.
I love to talk about different things that might happen.
But I also like to have hypothetical conversations with my nerd friends about fights that these writers will never write because they've poured too much in these characters to jump up a universe and then let somebody else kick the shit out of it.
All right.
So we're going to get into a little game of who you got.
Steve, tee this up.
All right, well, inspired by a lengthy conversation and really argument for the Midnight Boys Group chap.
We wanted to hypothetically pit Batman against different opponents and ponder the question who you got.
So we've got four scenarios here where we're going to pit Batman against some fictional and favorite characters across fandom.
We are going to quickly go down the let.
We're not going to get too bogged down in all of this because I know this might not be that quick.
might not be that's not true
Steve you know that's not
it might not be that quick
don't like to listen
Joe we got an agenda to get off
you just
you see it
you're trying to make your
what's what Steve's trying to do
Steve trying to make his edit easy
it's not going no
no you never make my edit easy
why would I even act like
you're going to try to make it easy
it's not going to be that quick
let's go
Batman versus 10 gorillas
all right so let's let's
let's set some rules
this is base level Batman
from the conference
mix, okay?
With no prep time.
No prep time.
No prep time.
He's just jumped, he's dropped
into each scenario, okay?
Van, can you start us off?
Do you think that Batman could be
10 girls?
Absolutely, he could be
10 gorillas.
I think Batman could be
100 gorillas.
No, no, no, not 100 girls.
Not 100 gorillas.
You're telling me if Batman gets
dropped into a jungle
and he's surrounded by
100 gorillas that he's going to be
every single gorilla.
Okay, you guys don't see, this is my
problem with you guys
is that you, I don't know
how you have read the comic, Batman is a comic
character, okay?
Batman, we've seen get out of the way
of bullets, Batman we've seen
kick trees down, we've seen
him in comic books, like,
while he's training, take his fist
and put his fist through bricks
like brick, fucking
not the fucking the fucking the fucking
it's Cobra Kai kids do it.
I'm talking about put his finger,
put his, like, punch a chimney over.
Like, watch, watch, watch, watch, watch, watch the, watch, watch, watch the, watch
watch the beginning scene of watchman.
One of the greatest fight scenes in a superhero movie, by the way, is the comedian,
versus Adrian Vite, when Vite comes into the comedian's home and tries to take out
the comedian, right?
watch when they're punching.
When the comedian is punching against Vite,
he is tearing through
like bricks and shit.
Fuck it up his own apartment.
Later on in the movie,
Vite dodges a bullet.
This is not a regular person
we're talking about.
It's not even the best martial artist.
It's fucking Batman.
Batman is going to be hitting gorillas once
in vital places,
fucking dodging them,
jumping over them,
hitting them in the neck,
they're going to be incapacitated.
He's fucking up the gorillas.
I'm sorry, you said 100 gorillas.
I think he could beat 10 gorillas.
I think he could beat 10 gorillas.
But Vand's assumption that he could beat 100 gorillas, let's be honest.
A gorilla, the average silverback gorilla's strength is equivalent to 20 adult human beings, okay?
So that's 20 adult human beings times 100.
Regular adults.
That's like 20 steves.
We're not like, that's not what we're the, that's not what we're the, that's not what we're
we're talking about.
A hundred gorillas.
All he has is
a utility bill.
All the gorillas would have to do is rush Batman.
If there's a hundred,
they just rush him and kill him.
They're not going to rush it.
Bro, you don't understand.
How are,
like, he's going to, bro.
They're going to rush Batman.
Batman's going to take out the fucking
bat thing, shoot it.
The bat thing?
What is the bad thing?
Listen.
That's what I'm going to do.
You all just be saying,
the bat thing.
Listen, the bat grappling gun.
He's going to shoot it.
He's going to fly into the air.
into the air, throw a fucking smoke bomb down,
confuse the gorillas.
He's going to confuse 100 gorillas with one smoke bomb.
How big is this smoke bomb, then?
You're acting as if
guerrillas is fucking Albert Einstein.
They're smarter than regular animals.
The intelligence of 100 gorillas.
Loud sound. Loud sound.
Gorillas go and then he's going to start picking
them motherfuckers off.
It's Batman, guys.
100 gorillas, he's not doing it.
He's not built for that.
He's not paid a hundred grilels.
Can you please tell.
I'll give him.
him 10 gorillas.
Because Batman is smarter than 10 gorillas.
Not 100 gorillas. You don't have
the manpower. You ain't got the time.
It's a pack for Batman
with 100 gorillas.
It's just not going to happen.
Batman's beating 10 gorillas.
He's beating 10 gorillas.
Which was the question. Let's not
get it twisted. But Vans
Claim that he would beat 100
is one of the wildest things I've ever.
It's insane.
You guys, I'll be honest with you. By the way, I showed
you guys in
comics of Batman actually fighting against gorillas
to be eating the shit out of him.
He was like three or four of them.
Not a hundred.
Here's a thing.
Flash, the Flash, the fastest human alive has trouble with gorillas.
He has trouble with like 10 gorillas.
And he's the fastest man alive.
What the fuck is Batman doing when there's a hundred corillas around him?
Brough, Batman, first of all, 10 is easy work.
He could easily beat 100.
I think he could probably be more than 100.
That's the one.
You guys.
Stop.
You guys are weird, bro.
It's like you guys are weird, bro.
It's like you guys didn't grow up read.
You haven't seen Batman do crazy shit.
But this is no prep time.
This is no crazy shit.
I'm talking to no prep time.
Batman fighting against Beads.
Oh, very good question from a follow up from Arjuna.
How many guerrillas is gorilla Grodworth?
He's like a thousand girl.
listen more.
There's probably a thousand gorillas, yeah.
Has Batman fucking gorilla grot?
I don't know.
Rihanna's tough.
He's tough.
He's tough.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
You're saying that.
Superpower guerrillas.
Superpower gorilla.
It's a superpower gorilla.
Come on.
Grilla grotto.
It's a superpower gorilla.
It's a superpower gorilla.
By the way,
Batman has fought, uh,
bro, like,
Batman has fought beings from all over the place,
man.
Batman has fought beings from other planets.
It's sad before too.
So come on now.
Okay.
All right.
We got to get to this next one.
All right.
Batman versus Obi-Wan Canobi.
Who do you got?
I got Obi-Wan.
Van, you go.
Do you go first?
I've seen, you know, again, y'all know I'm on this Clone Wars tip.
Obi-Wan with the lightsaber.
I don't know what Batman is doing against a lightsaber in the forest.
You know what I'm saying?
To be honest with you.
If Obi-Wan was like, you got to kill this man to go see Dutch of Sartan again,
Obi-Wan using the force
and he's taken the lightsaber
and he's stabbing Batman right through the chest
and don't tell me that Batman's
suit is lightsaber resistant
because he ain't never seen the lightsaber before in his life
that is a dead man
and is a pack
he is finished he is done
next.
So
I want to say my heart wants to say Batman
my heart wants to say Batman
but Obi-Wan Kenobi has gone
like
bar for bar
with Darth Vader
at the peak of his powers.
And do I think Batman could beat Darth Vader?
I don't think so.
I'm going to go with Obi-Wan.
Because let's be real.
What is Batman doing once the force,
once Obi-Wan brings out the force?
Like, what the fuck he's going to do?
Nothing.
He can't do anything.
Smokebombs aren't going to do shit.
So I'm going to go with Obi-Wan.
Okay.
So this is, this is,
so I'm going to go Batman.
No.
Oh, my gosh.
So, so, so I'm going to go Batman.
I'm going to use this a lot today.
I'm going to go Batman, and I'm going to tell you why.
Okay.
So it's going to be a lot closer.
But I've seen Obi-Wan struggle before.
I've seen, I saw Obi-Wan struggle with Django Fet.
I saw, and remember, Jedi or Jedi to use the force, but the Mandalorians, all right?
They are a race of people, a warrior people, with all types of gadgets and different things.
that have actually learned how to do battle with Jedi and kill Jedi.
I saw Django Fet give goddamn Obi-Wan Kenobi a run for his money,
if not, fuck him up using gadgets.
He was able to take a little, to like shoot a rope,
the little wire thing around Canobi.
He was able to use agility and misdirection against Konobi.
And I personally think, even though the fact that Batman doesn't have any Besscar, it's going to be tough.
I personally think that Batman could come out on top against Kenobi.
I also think it matters which universe this fight is taking place in.
If this fight is taking place in the Star Wars universe, it's probably easier for Kenobi.
If it's taking place in Batman's world, it's probably a lot easier for Batman.
Whoa, wait, wait, wait, Van, Van, Ben.
You're telling me that Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has fought on lava planets,
is going to have difficulty in a run-of-the-mill city.
Is that what you're telling us?
Not the city different, you know what I'm saying?
What I'm telling you is that there's, I'm not talking about what Obi-Wan's going to be able to do.
I'm talking about Batman's going to be more formidable fighting in the city.
He's going to be less formidable.
Obi-Wan is probably the same either way.
Batman's going to be more formidable fighting in the city.
So did we, we both watch that Obi-Wan-Kan-Kinobi-Vi,
Anniken fight. All right?
We know how Obi-Wan gets down.
What the fuck
is Batman going to
do against a lightsaber
and the force? Do you, I'll put it
to you this way. Do you think that Batman could beat Darth Vader?
No, but I think
that Darth Vader was more powerful
than Kenobi because
of his, his
allegiance to the dark side.
I think that Vader was, first of all,
the force choke is something that a Jedi is not
going to do. Batman's got no answer for that.
You know what I mean?
Like, Batman's got no answer for that.
And by the way, just to let you guys know,
if you give Batman any time to prepare for Kanoi,
Kanoi doesn't have a shot.
I know you guys are just saying.
That's what you're not doing that.
We're not doing that.
We're not doing that.
Play the music, Steve.
Batman will come back.
Why would that be something?
We're not doing this.
I'm just saying it.
We're not doing this, though.
We're not doing this.
comes back and Batman has made a bad suit out of Baskar and he's where would he find Batscar?
You know, I'm the, I'm calming down.
I'm calming down.
If anyone can find Besscar, Batman will come into the galaxy.
I'm calming down.
We're in the beginning.
This is coming to the galaxy.
There's no prep.
There's no time.
Batman is coming into the galaxy with a hundred billion in Republican credits, baby.
This is why.
These arguments are so tough.
I love this.
I love this.
This is what y'all always do.
You're like, it's not what I always do.
What I'm telling you right now is
I've seen Obi-Wan
go up against non- Jedi
and I've seen it be tough.
Again, you said, wait a second, wait a second.
He's gone up against, Cap, wait, wait, hold on.
Cabin, give it Obi-Wan the fucking business.
It's not like it's an impossible thing.
You know what I'm saying?
Hold on.
First of all, Django Fett, you literally said
that he was trained from birth to be able to fight Jedi.
against Jedi.
No, no, no, no.
Batman doesn't have that training.
Well, that is true.
He has.
He's a Mandalorian, so he's been fighting.
But Batman has all kinds of training.
Okay, for sure.
Okay, for sure.
Cadban also uses blasters and guns.
Batman doesn't use blasts and guns.
He has other shit.
What is Batman, what is Batman?
By the way, by the way,
we know when somebody shoots a laser beam at him.
By the way, just to let you know,
Batman will use whatever he has to use with a fight
as it been at Flex Batman will use
wherever he had. This could be any iteration of Batman.
So the Affleck Batman is coming in
and fucking up and fucking up.
You're not, no, no, no. All kinds of, you know,
by the way, it's different Batman's. Batman's all over the place.
Frank Miller's Batman, all different types of badmans.
Jesus Christ.
And I'm going to figure out the way to get this done.
You know what?
I wish anybody believed in me the way Batman people believe in Batman.
Like, it's like, there's nothing he can overcome.
There's nothing he can overcome.
That doesn't mean he's being Obi-Wan-Kanovy.
Like, come on.
He could be Obi-Wan-Kanoby, bro.
Right. Next. Let me get off my agenda. Next. Next.
Batman versus Spider-Man. Oh, Batman's beating Spider-Man's ass.
I got Spider-Man. I got Spider-Man in one.
I'm going to be honest with you. I'm going to be honest with you.
This is tough for Batman.
It is tough.
This is tough. This is tough for Batman. This is, see. See, you guys think I'm unreasonable.
This is a super power being. Like, Spider-Man, how can Batman be Spider-Man?
Wait, so, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
You're telling me that also Obi-Wan Kenobi, who's a super powered being,
is no match for Batman.
He's the, Obi-Wan Konobi is not a superpower being.
He has the fucking force.
What is the force?
Huh?
Force is telekinesis, really.
Right, bro.
He's not a superpower being, bro.
You kick Obi-Wan Konobi off of building that dead.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, like, he's just like, Obi, the Spider-Man going to fall and be thump.
And they'd be like, oh,
hurt myself, fall off a building, he's going to be okay.
You kick Obi-Wan...
The motherfuckers fall. What are you talking about?
Spider-Man doesn't fall off buildings?
He would catch himself, he webbed himself up.
He did fall. In Spider-Man 2, he fell off of a building
when he was trying to jump.
Existential crisis with the web site.
No, no, no. Excuse me. I'm talking about the fact that he
fell and he survived because the fall
can't kill him. Whether he webs it up and
it takes a lot more because he's a superpower being
with all kinds of different shit.
All right, Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi
literally got killed in one scene, bro.
One scene!
All of the cloned arms, you guys talking about the Jedi.
You literally got...
Obi-Wan didn't.
They literally got, they packed out in one scene.
One scene, bro.
They've been trying to kill Batman for 75 years.
I love this.
Man has got the gas.
Jesus Christ.
I love it.
We got killed in one scene.
All I'm saying is this.
Spider-Man kicking Batman ass.
No.
It's a bad.
It's a bad.
It's a bad.
It's a bad.
It's not a back.
Spider-Man's winning.
Spider-Han's a beat back.
I know for a fact.
I know I did not walk out of Spider-Man no way home.
After Green Goblin beat that little boy with an inch of his life.
Green Goblin also a super-powered individual, right?
So let's have that context.
Some super strength in our brain.
Some super strength is like, come on.
Which Batman doesn't have.
He doesn't have super strength.
It doesn't matter.
It does matter.
If I could,
if I could punch him.
punch a building down.
I'm breaking your jaw in a billion
places. I'm turning you to dust.
All Batman has to do, all Batman has to do is
literally punch Spider-Man the
wrong way and he's literally like Spider-Man's
out of you. Jesus Christ.
Batman knows every single martial arts.
You don't think that he could dispatch
of Spider-Man who literally
just swings around and tries his best.
He's a nerd from fucking Queens
who has no fighting skills.
He would have to touch Spider-Man, which he can't do.
Spider's hands, right?
Spider-Man hit him one time.
In the, in the cow, it's so a wrap.
His brain is, his brain is turning to J-Loh.
Batman, okay?
One of the greatest superheroes of all time.
We're not-
What the fuck is Spider-Man with some webbing going to do?
All I'm saying is we know that Batman
has gone toe-to-to-to-to-with- Superman, all right?
And Superman is way more powerful than Spider-Man.
So he's already used to battling superhuman beings, okay?
just with his gadgets and all of the martial arts he knows.
So I'm pretty sure when he sees Spider-Man,
he's not going to be like, oh my gosh,
some super strength, some spider sense and some web fluid.
I'm so scared.
No, all he's going to do is use his fucking martial arts
and dispatch, hit a couple pressure points,
and Spider-Man's going to be out of here.
Spider-Man's like, what did you do to my body?
I can't move.
What the fuck is Spider-Man going to do?
Yeah, but he couldn't do that to a gorilla.
You're wilding.
That's what I'm saying.
How am I whiling?
I got Spider-Man over a gorilla.
Right?
10 gorillas,
100 gorillas.
I'm putting it.
That's easy word for Spider-Man.
Bad man's not doing it.
Right?
It's like we really got to like use our brains.
These are common sense and think about it.
How,
how strong do you think Spider-Man's villains?
He's very strong.
He's very strong.
He's very strong.
The only reason he's not killing dudes on impact
is because he's pulling punches.
He's very strong.
Like super-suppy.
Bro, he is his Spider-Man.
You didn't see Spider-Man holding a,
ferry together.
Like, you didn't see Spider-Man stopping a train.
He's very strong.
Yeah, what you guys are telling me is that
what we know from the comics,
Batman can go toe-to-to-to-is Superman,
but Spider-Man is the different fight.
That's a different fight.
This is not the same.
It's not the same.
All the preparation that Batman needs for Spider-Man
is his martial arts prowess.
He's not touching Spider-Man.
He's touching Spider-Man.
It's not going to be that difficult.
Here's a thing. Here's a thing.
If he could go
against Killer Crock and Bain,
Bain has super strength. I don't
think that he will have an issue
with Spider- Okay now. He's found.
He has some issues with Bain.
And did he end up beating Bain?
We just talked about.
I was talking about it.
I remember
both on the fucking screen
and in the comic page,
the fucking got his back world.
Oh, and then what happened?
He learned how to, he learned
how to dispatch of someone with super strength.
So he already knows how to do that.
What you're saying is,
he'll get Spider-Man in the rematch.
No, what I'm saying is
he already learned what he needs to do
from the original time he got his backbroken
and he will use that to fight Spider-Man.
Here's my entire thing and like,
you know, we're going to wrap this up show,
but here's my entire agenda on this thing, right?
Batman is a human
at like peak condition, right?
The, you know,
as best Olympic athlete
would win any race,
any lifting competition,
all that stuff.
right once you start getting above that right once we start getting the meticumen stuff
it's it just doesn't compare batman's a genius that's i don't care how
listen charles i don't care how smart you are if i can touch you and you die it's a rap
batman's too smart batman's not getting touch like that i it's tough i don't see it we're ready to go
we're ready to go all right i don't see it next one next last one batman versus
is all of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
Here's, this is my first one.
I think, I think this is a draw and they just hang out
and have pizza later. I don't think there's any beef.
I got to let you guys know something.
I think this is just a solid hang.
Adele, I let you know something.
There was a movie. Did you got to see the movie?
Yeah, I did not see it. I do know that there is one.
It was great.
Batman versus the Ninja Turtles.
The Ninja Turtles come to Gotham City.
you guys didn't see the movie
in the movie
they went up against each other
and Batman was kind of doing his thing
against the Ninja Turtles
I think
that they're going to find their way
out of this fight like Steve says
I think they squash the beef
they squashed the beef I don't think they're going to fight
Spider-Man is a little pissant
so he's probably going to try to get on Batman's nerves
and stuff like that but I think they find their way out of this
not a teenage movie with Ninja Turtles
the problem is that they're teenage.
Now, if they were 30 years old,
then they'd be beaten Batman's ass.
But because they're teenagers,
you know, they got the hormones,
they were really paying attention.
They don't pay attention.
Bring Selena to the fight and then
Calvin's going to drop down and they're going to start staring at her
and the Batman's going to be like,
B'Bah, and get them out of here.
Also, I got to be honest with you.
All four the Digital Turtles have problems with one guy.
Shredom, yeah.
I'm going to be real with you.
Batman is busing shreds.
ass.
Treter would have been out of here.
Shredder like Shredder
is light work in Gotham.
You mean to me a guy
with a cheese grater on his arms?
What are you talking about, man?
I'm fighting,
kill a crock and bane.
Shredder will talk you to death
more than he'll beat you to death.
Yeah.
Yeah, he would have been
got rid of Shredder.
I've been, I've been
disrespecting to Batman this whole time,
but I got him.
Well, Joe, Joe, Joe.
I'm not going to let you hop on the
Batman bandwagon again.
You're saying, oh, like,
the teenage people,
Ninja turtles have met a human strength.
So that's where you draw the right?
Not really.
Not really.
Yes, really.
The mutants.
Not really.
Do you think they have the regular strength of regular turtles, Van?
They're mutated turtles.
So, like, they're, like, basically nidges.
Have you seen the strength of the mutant turtle, the teenage mutant turtles?
No, but see, I've seen Obi-Wan do cool stuff.
I've seen Spider-Man do cool stuff like that.
Ninja turtles.
I ain't seen them really put on for somebody.
Like Vance said, they'd be having problems with Shredder.
and I see Batman giving Shredder to business.
No, Batman's beating them.
I just, like, we're shit talking the turtles like they aren't.
I'm not strong.
They're mutated.
The mutation made them stronger than your average man.
Well, okay.
Well, why are they getting their stronger asses kicked by old ass ninja?
Because they're teenagers.
That's what I keep saying.
They're not built for it.
They're teenagers.
Batman 33, so it's Batman.
You guys.
Wait, no, we got one more from Arjuna.
One more for our Juno.
Yeah, quick bonus round.
Batman versus Moon Knight.
Batman.
Come on.
Moon Knight?
Moon Knight?
Respect Moon Knight.
I respect Moon Knight.
I think it's interesting because Moon Knight's whole thing is Moon Knight doesn't want to, like, Taskmaster
canonically hates Moon Knight because Moon Night would rather take a punch than block it, right?
And so Taskmaster is one of the greatest, you know, martial artists, you know, in comedy.
history.
And we're just in to see what Batman would do against a guy who's just as okay getting
getting hit, right?
And would rather get hit and then hit you back than block and dodge.
I'd been to see how that would go.
Moon Knight's getting washed.
Having said that, Moon Knight is getting packed the fuck up by Batman.
It's not even, it's not even fair.
I like Moon Knight.
I like Moon Knight.
Moon Knight is like Batman Jr.
The fight would not even last 15 seconds, if we're being honest.
Okay.
It would last 15 seconds.
No, wouldn't.
I would be...
Charles, you're so out of your brain.
Like I said.
Here's...
What, are...
Name the accomplishments of Moon Knight.
I'll wait.
Well, he became a Moon Knight.
All right.
And that's my point.
There's no small feat.
Yeah, are you a Moon Night?
It's the thing.
Moon Night might shoot Batman.
Batman, you know,
Moon Night, one place bullet,
Batman's a dead man.
You know, that cow, that little jaw.
You know what I'm saying?
Jalby, before we move on,
why you hate Batman like that?
And I, I mean, I said this.
Every time we get in these conversations,
it's always Batman, this.
Oh man, but if he da-da-da-da, people like, he's,
I don't know what it is, but like,
it's always the self-idealized level of Batman
that nobody else can touch.
Superman has like, like can fly it many times the speed of light.
If Superman really wanted Batman dead,
it wouldn't even be a thought.
Batman wouldn't even have a chance to think
before he was paced on the ground.
But yet, it's always like, well,
Batman would have this.
It's always like, you know, like when you're playing, like, as a kid, when you're playing on a playground, and you'll play like make believe with some kid and you'd be like, I tagged you, but like, no, you didn't.
He didn't tag me because, uh, this and this.
It's always like an excuse why they didn't get tagged or why, you know, this didn't happen.
It's the same thing with Batman.
You can't touch Batman.
Well, because he has in this thing in his utility belt.
Like, let's stop making up excuses.
If the man, if people wanted to clap that dude, he would get clapped.
Lapped.
Let's stop to
Pretending.
I'll be honest with you.
They've been trying to kill him
for a long time.
For real.
Can't kill Brucey, baby.
Are you saying that he should consider
this mercy?
Is that what you're saying?
That's really what it is.
Like, if Superman wanted to
back him up he would be back up.
But here's the thing.
You keep making up excuses.
Like, you're just like,
if Superman wanted to,
here's the fact,
he doesn't have the heart for it.
That's, and that's part of the story.
That's interesting.
We keep it all the way.
That's a difference.
Superman kind of a bitch-ass d'i.
You keep it all the way.
And you're right.
No, but here's the thing, Joe.
100%.
Superman has a problem with a dude
whose entire superpower is him being bald and rich.
Like, what the fuck is he going to do with Batman?
Full head of hair and rich.
You're done.
That's enough.
That's enough.
We've gone off the nerd deep end.
That's a wrap for today.
This coming Friday, the House of R,
their adults in the room come back.
They're going to give us their spring hype top 10.
And next Friday, some of these bingo questions are going to be answered
as the Midnight Boys return.
with instant reactions to the Batman
starring Robert Pattinson,
Zoe Kravitz,
Colin Furrow,
Jeffrey Wright,
and a bunch of other motherfuckers.
Paul Dano and a lot of...
It's a great cast,
directed by Matt Reeves.
We are going to be talking about that
next Friday.
Cannot wait.
Producer Craids, our producer is Steve Almond Joy,
the cuddly Christmas activist.
Jomi, the explainer,
Adirond, the Batman
Hater. Jomi the Joker.
There we go.
Jomi the Joker Adiron.
You've got questions.
He's got
Hey!
Answers.
Why so serious?
Jomey on social media.
You got to laugh like the Joker too, by the way.
And additional production
from Arjuna
Romgapal.
Charles.
Take us out.
The Batman is
almost upon us.
my man Jomi is a hater
But then I need to know
What the fuck is Batman doing
Against a lightsaber
I'm gonna
I got a question
I'm looking at these
I think we all have great lists
I'm noticing a lack of
Rasha Gould on this list
We don't think he's gonna appear
Or be mentioned at all this movie
I don't think so
I don't think because that's too close to Batman
Begins I don't think that they would restart a whole franchise
eyes and then make it too
indebted to Batman.
I think it is interesting how Batman
begins like brought in race
you know because I mean
as me seeing that film for the first time
I just thought Batman
got some karate DVDs
and learn how to be
you know the crime fighting hero that he was
actually that was going to be one of my predictions
that we just we don't see
Bruce Wayne become Batman
he will just be
when it starts.
Media Res.
And do you guys say race?
Do you say race or do you say Roz?
I've always...
I switch.
As a kid, I always said
Raz Agu.
I switched between Rache and Ross
depending on like what I just watched.
He was in.
I like Ross.
I like Raz Rau.
It's like Rache.
Rage doesn't sound like
I wouldn't be scared of that,
but...
Raza.
Yeah.
On the other hand,
I'd be definitely afraid of that.
So Steve, you say
like it's like Spider-Man
where he's just,
he's just...
He's just been that way.
Yeah.
Okay, for sure.
That's cool.
